- 1996 Ferrari F50
For Ferrari’s 40th anniversary in 1987, they wanted to produce a special, limited-run car to commemorate the occasion. Known as the F40, it set the car world on fire upon its release- an unbelievably aggressive design created through the extensive use of carbon fiber and paired with a powerful 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 made the F40 the fastest car on sale. Journalists and enthusiasts who were lucky enough to get behind the wheel of the F40 couldn’t get enough of the thrilling driving experience and it instantly became an automotive icon. Once F40 production ended in 1992, Ferrari needed to get to work on their next limited edition supercar for their upcoming 50th anniversary celebration. They didn’t want to just rehash the F40- their new car, known as the F50, needed to be completely different. At its core, the F40 was a rather primitive car, based around a tubular steel chassis, carbon kevlar was present to help with rigidity while keeping the weight down. For their follow-up, Ferrari knew they wanted to show off their technical prowess- utilizing their first all carbon fiber tub, the vehicle was both stronger and lighter than an F40 and the exterior design was based off the 1989 Mythos concept car but refined for road use and with some added Formula 1 design elements. To keep with the F1 theme, Ferrari elected to fit their new car with a naturally aspirated V12 which had ties to the engine used in their 1990 Formula 1 car. Displacement was increased to 4.7-liters and the stratospheric redline in the race car was reduced to keep the engine reliable, but it was still capable of producing 512 horsepower at 8,000RPM and was enough to push the F50 over 200 miles per hour. This engine sent power through a 6-speed manual transaxle at the rear-making this the final halo vehicle to come out of Maranello with 3 pedals. Another unique race-inspired feature of the F50 was that the engine and gearbox were used as stressed members of the chassis. With no rear subframe assembly, the engine is bolted directly into the rear bulkhead and the transaxle behind it has the rear inboard suspension affixed to the top of it. This design feature makes the F50 feel like a competition car and gives the occupants an exceptionally visceral experience. The interior of the F50s features large swaths of exposed carbon chassis and a pair of heavily bolstered bucket seats, upholstered in leather with textile centers matched to the exterior color . Upon its debut, Ferrari announced it would only produce 349 F50s or “one less than we think we can sell”. After their F40 production number debacle, this time, they truly did stick to that number-making it one of the rarest modern Ferraris. This 1996 Ferrari F50 is car number 197 out of the 349 built and was delivered new on October 16th, 1996. Sold through dealer and exporter LIGHTSPEED S.R.L., the car was sent to Japan where it was registered by Katougumidoken Ltd.- a local property development and building company. During this time, the ownership of the car changed numerous times but all to trusted people within the company before the car was acquired by Aplus Finance-the company’s creditor, in 2005. The F50 remained in Japan under three fastidious owners before being sold to Switzerland in 2014. Prior to its sale, one of the Japanese owners put the car through Ferrari Classiche certification at the Japanese Ferrari dealership Cornes, which also handled all of the servicing and a gauge cluster replacement in January 2014. Upon showing up in Switzerland, the car showed just 13,200 km and was still in excellent overall condition. In March 2021, the car was sold out of Switzerland and into the United States-the previous owner had used the car sparingly, now showing a total of 13,500 km. When the car landed in the US, it underwent a comprehensive service- having not been serviced for some time, a full service was performed which included inspecting valve lash, resealing cam covers, and a full fluid replacement to make sure it was in top running condition for the new owner. At the same time, the fuel bladder was replaced as it was nearing the end of its service life and an alignment was performed and new tires installed. This service spanned more than 3 months and ended up with a bill of over $58,000, but now this F50 is ready to be driven and enjoyed with just 50 miles added since its completion. Ferrari has hinted that they will not produce any more manual transmissions and with ever-increasing regulations surrounding fuel economy and emissions, the naturally aspirated V12 will likely be disappearing soon as well. This means that the F50 will stand forever as a high point for Ferrari- a supercar with Formula 1 technology, a removable roof and one of the most melodious engines ever. Included with the sale of the car is the original owners manuals, service records, Ferrari Certificate of Authenticity, small in car tool kit and the F50 flight case built to store the hard top and roll bars. 1996 Ferrari F50 ISSIMI, Inc If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1961-ferrari-250-gt-cabriolet-series-ii-by-pininfarina
Unveiled at the 1959 Paris Salon, the second-series 250 GT Cabriolet marked Pininfarina’s refined response to the concurrent California Spider—offering a more luxurious and road-focused alternative to its competition-derived Ferrari sibling. Purpose-built for grand touring, the 250 GT Cabriolet Series II was equipped with Ferrari’s advanced Tipo 128F outside-plug “Colombo” V-12 engine, delivering both refined performance and impressive drivability. Complementing its mechanical prowess were numerous upgrades introduced throughout production, including four-wheel disc brakes and overdrive, while inside a fully trimmed cabin and expanded luggage capacity ensured a comfortable and practical driving experience over long distances. Limited to just 200 examples, the Series II Cabriolet is now regarded as one of the most desirable open Ferraris of its era—delivering performance on par with the legendary California Spider, while offering markedly superior comfort, practicality, and weather protection. Long celebrated as the Spider’s more elegant and refined counterpart, the 250 GT Cabriolet Series II has rightfully secured its place among the most collectible and enduring grand-touring Ferraris ever produced. Constructed as the 119th example, chassis number 2447 GT was completed in April 1961 destined for Ferrari’s home market of Italy. It was originally finished in Grigio Conchiglia over Pelle Rosso trim. According to records provided by marque historian Marcel Massini, the car was sold new just days later to HRH The Prince Don Gonzalo de Bourbon via M G Crepaldi Automobili, the official Ferrari dealership in Milan. A grandson of the former King of Spain, the Prince, later Duke of Aquitaine, is believed to have kept chassis 2447 for the next seven years before parting ways in 1968. Following its sale, the car passed through a series of five Italian caretakers before its acquisition by the consignor, a resident of Rome, in 2009. While in Rome, the Ferrari was subject to some restoration work performed by marque specialist Scuderia Baldini. In 2018, the car was certified by Ferrari Classiche; it is offered with its important “Red Book”. The car notably retains its matching-numbers chassis and engine and is accompanied by its rare factory hard-top roof. An ideal candidate for concours entries, prestigious marque gatherings, or spirited participation in major touring events, this stunning 250 GT Cabriolet stands as a benchmark example of what is among the ultimate open-top Ferraris. 1961 Ferrari 250 GT Cabriolet Series II by Pininfarina RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. Maserati 3500GT 1961. 52 thousand miles. Silver with black leather interior, this matching numbers car was supplied to its first Italian owner on the 10th August 1961, it was then later exported to the US. It underwent around £75,000 of work in the US around 2008/2009 of which all the invoices are in the file. It has recently undergone a full engine rebuild including new crankshaft and pistons etc. Other recent work has included new shock absorbers and ball joints. It has also just undergone a full back to bare metal respray. The way this car drives is testament to its recent upkeep, it not only fills you with confidence to be able to drive it anywhere, it is a real pleasure to sit behind the wheel and listen to the roar of that six cylinder twin spark engine. The history comprises of two folders with rafts of receipts, original build sheet and delivery note, certification from Maserati Classiche and more. The underneath is in superb rust free original condition, the engine bay is in restored condition and the front seats have been completely restored in Italy. What an incredibly rare and beautiful car that starts, drives and stops as well as it possibly could, especially with its disc brakes all around, hidden behind those exceptional Borrani wire wheels and spinners. 1961 Maserati 3500GT Touring Superleggera Classic Connection If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1989-porsche-911-speedster-1
The idea, initiated in the USA, was to build a car to compete with the competition from England, on and off the racing circuits. Sporty, lightweight, minimalistic and affordable it had to be! The answer, the Porsche Speedster quickly grew into an icon. No wonder that the original Porsche 356 Speedster has, in the meantime, gained 5 generations of successors. With the 911 Porsche changed the Speedster recipe. While its predecessor was rather spartan and not too expensive, the Speedster with the Carrera 3.2 engine was placed firmly at the top of the range. The somewhat sober equipment code M503 hid some rather interesting details. The most open of all 911s usually left the production line with the flared fenders of the works Turbo look (WTL). But not only the wide hips but also the chassis and braking system came directly from the 911 Turbo. Comfort items in the interior remained mostly untouched, only the rear emergency seats had to give space to the new top construction. Like on the 356 speedster the function of the roof was really only meant to be used any emergencies in extreme weather. True to Porsche philosophy less is more (meaning more expensive), the new prize of the car was set at 13’000 Swiss francs above the normal cabriolet, certainly one of the reasons that only 1’942 Turbo look examples left the works. The example offered of this rare species was handed over to its first owner through the Porsche centre Berlin on the 15th of June 1989. After a change of ownership in the mid 90's the Speedster was acquired by a medical doctor from Hannover on the 23rd of December 1998 with then 57’960 kilometres driven. He had the engine of his Porsche tuned and in September 2001, with the help of Cargraphic chip, air volume measuring device and a sports exhaust, performance was increased to around 250 horsepower. In July 2004 job reasons brought the doctor to Switzerland and he took his beloved Speedster with him. To have it registered locally, the air measuring device had to be replaced with the original equipment and quite a bit of correspondence was necessary to register the car without a catalytic converter. In June 2005 the car, with its documented 236.6 horsepower, could finally be registered. In 2006, at 89’337 kilometres, the clutch and the flywheel were replaced and in 2008 a new softtop was installed. In June 2013, with now 99’000 kilometres driven, the rare Speedster was finally taken over by the vendor and added to his collection. Just like the previous owner he carefully maintained his Porsche but used it rarely. In July 2017 at 101’264 kilometres, all tyres, the electronic engine control unit and the starter motor were replaced. All receipts as well as a carefully maintained log since 1998 are available and will be handed over with the car. With its full leather interior, electrically adjustable comfort seats, air conditioning and a locking differential the 911 is very well equipped. The original exhaust system as well as the Cargraphic air volume measuring device are available and may be picked up by the buyer in Toffen. With four owners and around 102’000 kilometres driven and with a full service booklet, the Speedster is in very good and well-maintained condition. The most recent MOT was completed in July 2017. Due to a longer period of inactivity, a service and a general technical check should be foreseen. 1989 Porsche 911 Speedster Oldtimer Galerie International GmbH If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1977-jaguar-xj-s
Introduced in Autumn 1975, the XJS replaced the iconic E-Type, which by any measure was a tough act to follow. The modern design was by Malcolm Sayer, but after his death in 1970, it was completed by the in-house Jaguar design team, headed by Doug Thorpe. It was powered by the wonderfully smooth and powerful 5343cc V12 engine, and most were produced with automatic transmission as is this pre-HE example produced in 1977. The XJ-S (later changed to simply XJS), was a huge success for Jaguar having been produced from 1975 to 1996. The pre-HE cars are seen as more collectable and finding one in such original and wonderful order is a rare occurrence. In the mid seventies the owner of our car was spending time on business in London. Late one afternoon he was walking along Regent Street and saw a crowd outside the Jaguar dealership. They were looking at a new XJ-S. In its day it was quite a groundbreaking design and very quick grand tourer whose performance at the time, was very much on par with V12 Ferrari’s and Lamborghini’s. He fell in love with the XJ-S, walked in and ordered one. The car was prepared and finally bought through the personal export scheme in August 1977. It was shipped to Australia (in Australian specification) in Signal Red with Biscuit leather interior – which it is still present in today. Numerous typed letters show the correspondence between the owner and Jaguar including the colour chart with ‘Signal Red’ still marked. We have never seen such a complete set of original documents with a car. All its owners’ books are there with original keys, purchase correspondence, original invoice and passport to service. This is a collectors dream car. The car has clearly led a cossetted life. It has always been garaged, and the owner informs us it has never been driven in the wet. The owner is now at an age where he rarely drives it and is now moving home so his much-loved Jaguar needs to find a new owner. The body of the car is extraordinary. It retains its original paint, and the owner informs us only the bumpers were repainted due to them dulling a little. There are only the smallest of blemishes on the body but that is being picky. The colour is still rich and there is only the smallest area of minor dulling on one guard, but a good paint correction would address that. The original Kent alloys are a real feature of these cars, and these are literally like new. New tyres have been recently fitted, and the car received a full service less than 100 kms ago including the fitment of new rear shock absorbers and brake pads. When you are inside this car it is hard to imagine it is almost 50 years old. The gauges are wonderful to look at and are like new, as is the steering wheel. Its thin rim is a welcome change to those you’d normally have in a modern car, and it feels rewarding to use when on the move. All the switch gear is like new as is the dash and shows no signs of any effects of sun damage or wear at all. The air-conditioning blows air but is not cold and we are informed needs re-gassing. The car had sheepskin covers fitted some years ago. These come with the car, and we have removed those from the front seats. Underneath the leather is dry and would benefit from cleaning and recolonising but is perfectly restorable. The carpets are a very seventies shade of brown and only show small signs of wear in the drivers footwell. The roof lining is unmarked. The boot is capacious and pristine. The engine bay has never been detailed however it is clean and very presentable showing all its original advisory stickers. Turn the key and the car starts instantly and settles into a wonderfully sonorous note. These V12 engines are known for their smooth delivery, and this does not fail to deliver. Out on the open road it is a delight to drive and moves through the gears perfectly. Even now these are capable touring cars with the ability to reach 100kph in just 7.9 seconds and continue well past the national speed limit. They are very capable and now being recognised for the wonderful cars they are. With perfect provenance and a wealth of original documents for anyone looking for a collector’s quality Jaguar this is a rare find. 1977 Jaguar XJ-S Сlassic Сar Market If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. This particular example, Chassis # 818650001015, is a Series 1 Sport 1.3S model with the (818.303) 1,298 cc V4 engine. While the early history of this car has been lost to time, we know that it was the subject of a sympathetic restoration by Lancia expert Franco de Piero in Italy during the 1990’s. Later, in 2012 it was sold via a West Coast USA dealer to a collector from Brazil/France. Shortly after it was the subject of a comprehensive restoration completed circa 2014 by Corrado Patella’s Autofficina Omega in Vicenza, Italy with the cosmetic portion completed by Carrozzeria Graselli. This more recent restoration was performed from the ground up with no expenses spared, leaving the Lancia in stunning, factory-fresh condition. The restoration reportedly took 8 months to complete at a cost of nearly 60,000 Euros. Shortly after it was sold again in 2016, then again in 2019 to its most recent collector-owner who has driven it just over 4,000 miles. All while consistently servicing it and storing it properly. During the 2014 restoration the 1.3S V4 engine and (the upgraded 5-speed) transmission were rebuilt, with the valves, studs, pistons, rods, and every other mechanical component between steering, braking, suspension etc… also tended to during the restoration. The interior was also addressed and was refinished to a very high standard. All of the gauges and switchgear are in correct working order. The only changes were the installation of Zagato Sport-style seats and a period-appropriate aftermarket steering wheel. The black headliner is in great condition as well, and the dash is free of cracks or damage and was refinished in black rather than wood grain. The exterior has been refinished in the same color this car reportedly left the factorywearings- Rosso San Siro. All of the trim, brightwork, rubber and other components are fresh as are the Campagnolo wheels. The bumper-delete front/rear finishes off the look well. This is likely one of the finest examples of a Lancia Fulvia Sport 1.3S Zagato extant. Seldom are these cars restored to this level and with this much attention to detail. With only 9,208 km (5721.59 mi) on the odometer, this example has proven itself and is offered in turn-key condition. Offered with the vehicle is the spare, jack, restoration records, service records, repair manual and owners manual. 1967 Lancia Fulvia Sport 1.3S Zagato LBI Limited If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. Meet the iconic Alfa Romeo Montreal, a masterpiece designed by Bertone and unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 1970. This exceptional vehicle, the Tipo 105.64, marks the beginning of a legendary era. Under the hood lies a 2593 cc, 90° V8 engine with two overhead camshafts per cylinder bank. The impressive 'crossplane' design, equipped with SPICA fuel injection, delivers a respectable 197 hp (147 kW; 197 hp) in combination with a ZF five-speed gearbox and a limited-slip differential, ensuring that you almost feel sorry for the road. The Montreal shares its chassis with the Giulia GTV, meaning you get the same agility and balance, but with extra Italian flair. Double wishbone suspension in the front, an active rear axle with a limited-slip differential at the back, and a driving experience that feels like you’ve just had an espresso with a double ristretto. And the style? It looks as though the air vents were specifically designed to elevate your heart rate – and they do, over and over again. As only Alfa Romeo can. And ours? Fully Matching Numbers and Colors. Rolled off the production line on December 31, 1972, and sold to Alfa Romeo Frankfurt on May 24, 1973. So, it’s of German origin. After that, it made its way to Sweden and then landed in the Netherlands in 2014. Between 2014 and 2017, it was fully restored and is now ready to hit the road! 1973 Alfa Romeo Montreal Cool Classic Club If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1967-jaguar-xke-series-i
This 1967 Jaguar XKE Series I roadster was sold new to a resident of San Diego, California, and it was acquired by the current owner out of an estate in 2009. The 4.2-liter inline-six, the four-speed manual transmission, and the suspension had been rebuilt under prior ownership, the selling dealer tells us, and the vehicle was repainted in black. The current owner had the interior reupholstered in tan leather and replaced the camshaft. The car is equipped with a black soft top, 15? wire-spoke wheels, power-assisted disc brakes, a limited-slip differential, triple SU carburetors, and a retro-style push-button radio. This XKE roadster is now offered on dealer consignment with a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate, an owner’s manual, parts catalogs, service records, and a clean California title in the owner’s name. Series I E-Types were equipped with covered headlights and taillights mounted above the chrome rear bumpers. This example was finished from the factory in Black and is said to have been repainted under previous ownership. Additional equipment includes a replacement black soft top as well as a louvered clamshell hood, triple windshield wipers, a driver-side mirror, bright trim, wraparound chrome bumpers, and dual exhaust outlets. A dent on the hood and other blemishes are pictured in the gallery below. Chrome-finished 15? wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-offs and are mounted with 205/75 Michelin Radial XH4 tires. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors. The suspension was rebuilt prior to 2009, according to the seller. Redone under current ownership using materials sourced from XKs Unlimited, the cabin features bucket seats upholstered in tan leather along with color-coordinated door panels and carpeting. Interior appointments include black vinyl dashboard trim, tan lap belts, a retro-style push-button radio, center-stack speakers, a sliding rearview mirror, a passenger-side grab handle, and a heater. The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a Smiths 160-mph speedometer and 6k-rpm tachometer, while auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage are located at the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 47k miles, less than 2k of which were added under current ownership. The 4.2-liter inline-six features triple SU carburetors. The current owner is said to have replaced the camshaft. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a full-synchromesh four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The replacement identification plate is shown above. It is noted that the plaque lists the engine number as 7E1185-9, which differs from the one-digit-longer sequence 7E11851-9 that is found on the engine block, cylinder head, and heritage certificate. The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Production Record Trace certificate shows the original colors and drivetrain numbers as well as the build and dispatch dates in January and February 1967. The chassis number is 1E14512, whereas the California title adds a “J67” prefix. 1967 Jaguar XKE Series I Mohr Imports, Inc. This Alfa Romeo was sold new to the first owner who purchased it from Carl Block Alfa Romeo, Oakland, CA. The car remained in the Oakland/Berkeley area for many years with two prior owners until it was eventually purchased by John Anderson in 2002 with 132k miles. Having been in California since new, Anderson recalls purchasing the car for the originality and sound cosmetic condition. At that time, Anderson was working as a mechanic at Griswold’s Alfa Romeo in Berkeley, eventually establishing his own shop, John Anderson Racing. During Anderson’s ownership, he rebuilt the engine to stock specifications, updating the engine with a 1971 fuel injection unit which is of superior reliability than the 1969 unit. In 2016 the next owner commissioned Larry Eisner, San Francisco, CA to remove and reinstall the 5-speed gearbox, with the rebuild for the transmission performed by John Anderson Racing. At the same time, the fuel tank sender was replaced, a new speedometer cable installed, the speedometer head was serviced, and the clutch master and slave cylinders were replaced. In 2020 a set of Koni shock absorbers were installed. The current owner purchased this car in 2021 and in 2022 Prestige Autohaus, Walnut Creek, CA replaced fuel lines, replaced castor bushings, replaced front and rear springs, installed new bump stops and catch straps, brake fluid flushed and hoses replaced, rear axle seal replaced, new pinion nose seal, exhaust hangers and support bushings replaced, and the ground and positive terminal for the main fuel pump replaced. 1969 Alfa Romeo Duetto 1750 Fantasy Junction If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1952-alfa-romeo-1900c-sprint-touring-1
In 1950 when Alfa Romeo launched their all-new unit bodied 1900 series, unprecedented demand for the innovative and stylish car immediately propelled Alfa Romeo into larger more profitable markets. The 1900 platform was versatile and technically sophisticated. Many of the finest Italian coachbuilders were immediately consulted to design and construct bodies for the 1900. This important move allowed a key transition from traditional body on frame coachbuilding, ultimately extending the viability of coachbuilt artistry as the auto industry evolved. The resultant range of special body configurations made the 1900 one of the leading platforms among European coachbuilders of the 1950’s. Among the most desirable and arguably the most elegant of the coachbuilt 1900s is the Touring bodied 1900C. Touring Carrozeria’s patented Superleggera (super lightweight) construction employed specifically for the 1900, utilized a formed steel sub-frame, cleverly enveloped by a lightweight aluminum skin. In the Touring design, the classically inspired coupe offered a clean and fluid lower body accented by crisp raised character lines exquisitely formed into the alloy body. The delicately constructed upper body was lightly garnished by modest trim and beautifully proportioned glass. This simple elegance had an even sportier touch when offered in the shorter 2,500mm wheelbase, as the 1900C Sprint. The Sprints performed exceptionally well in competition, delivering multiple racing victories throughout the world. This lovely Touring Superleggera Coupe is from the first series of production, each of which were hand made from 1951 to 1953 by Carrozzeria Touring. Among the evolution of this series, the most desirable is the earliest of the four body designs due to the low roof, smaller rear window, fluid canopy design, recessed door handles, and prettier grille brows, all of which embody the finest of the original design details and handmade alloy coachwork. This particular first series 1900C was delivered to a resident of Pennsylvania in May 1952. Powered by the high- performance Tipo 1308 engine, the car passed through ownership in the US before a comprehensive three-year restoration was performed by Italian car specialists Restoration and Performance Motors, Vermont. It has since participated in events as a multiple concours winner and also participated in the 1000-mile Forza Amelia. Having previously been under the ownership of noted American collector David Ward, the car was driven sparingly and was exhibited at the 2018 Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace. Beautifully presented, this 1900C features many desirable details including beautiful two-tone paint, leather and cloth interior, Nardi steering wheel, and a period-correct Condor radio. Today, this elegant Alfa Romeo 1900C presents in superb condition, with beautifully finished two-tone silver paint applied with consistent coverage and excellent final polish. The lustrous and elegant colors reveal the signature Touring crisp wheel opening lines, rocker scallop, and taut upper canopy with rich glints of reflective elegance. This elegance is enhanced by stunning polished alloy Borrani wire wheels and chrome-plated dual-ear knockoffs scripted with the Alfa Romeo name. A set of period correct Avon Turbospeed tires are mounted. The wire wheels encase full-diameter alloy drum brake castings, hinting at the legendary Alfa Romeo competition history. The minimal chrome trim surrounding the Carello headlamps is perfectly formed and polished, while the glass, accessory lights, and teardrop door handles are beautifully fit to the body. Even the correct profile fluted glass gaskets are properly fit to the body. The Touring Superleggera coachwork badges, Alfa Romeo emblems, center grille and side grilles are exceptional pieces of automotive jewelry, accenting perfectly with the Touring “moustache” curves. The remarkable two-tone interior is breathtaking, presented in contrasting blue leather with grey cloth inserts, the supple leather and cloth materials across the hinged bench seats create a comforting feel, while the body-colored dash and full instrumentation convey the sporting spirit. The dashboard and accompanying instruments are beautifully restored and wonderfully laid out displaying gorgeous Italian design, fronted by the rare flat profile polished aluminum and lacquered rosewood Nardi steering wheel. The instruments are clear, beautifully colored, and surrounded by crisp polished trim adorning the large and small dial faces. Further details include a period correct Condor radio, driver’s side rubber floor mat, beautifully detailed interior door handles and window cranks, elegant wool broadcloth headliner, and correctly trimmed carpet. Overall, the interior exhibits the same excellence and attention to craftsmanship as found on the exterior. The engine compartment has been correctly restored using factory finishes, correct hardware and fasteners, and proper wiring, all of which have mellowed over time, but still remain very fine. The textured black castings are uniformly finished, the engine compartment is finished in satin black, and the aluminum features are not overly polished as found in many show cars. Proper textured finishes and correct details also support the mechanical sorting that has been done since the restoration was completed. The trunk is finished with an alloy Borrani spare wheel and matching Avon tire nestled into the formed tub, while the floor is covered with a correct fluted form-fitting rubber mat. The underside of the car has been restored with the same attention to detail and authenticity afforded to the exterior. Finishes are properly executed including the correct exhaust, green leather axle straps, an updated electric fuel pump to improve reliability, and woven copper ground straps. The floor is structurally sound, suspension components and alloy castings are in excellent condition, and the chassis is representative of correct contemporary restoration processes performed by expert practitioners. On the road, this 1900C Sprint delivers a delightful driving experience. Originally designed for touring, the 1900 was remarkably well balanced for a wide range of rural and urban roads, which still holds true today. The exceptional restoration performed on this car delivers enjoyable spirited Italian performance, further enhanced by the 1308 twin-cam engine. Of particular note is the roomy interior which allows for comfortable vintage event use with ample luggage space and rear storage compartment which can be readily accessed while underway. This Alfa Romeo 1900C Sprint represents a rare opportunity to acquire a beautifully restored early Touring coachbuilt Alfa Romeo with excellent visual presentation and enjoyable road manners. The combination of Touring design elegance and sportiness, coupled with the remarkable interior makes this 1900 a wonderful event and show car eligible for numerous major automotive venues throughout the world. For those who admire hand-built alloy coachwork, top level restoration, twin-cam performance, and rarity, this Alfa Romeo 1900C truly delivers the unmistakable combination of exceptional motoring and Italian design. 1952 Alfa Romeo 1900C Sprint Touring Fantasy Junction If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1973-porsche-550-spyder-replica
With an enlarged Porsche 914 engine producing in the region of 140bhp, and an overall weight of about 650kg, this superbly built 550 Spyder replica is an exciting and exhilarating little sports car. Built during the mid-1990s using one of the highly regarded kits offered by Hampshire-based Martin & Walker, this Technic 550 Spyder features an impressive specification that combinesa lightweight GRP bodyshell, a tubular spaceframe chassis, and a mid-mounted Porsche 914 engine. The Volkswagen Beetle-based front suspension features double wishbones and adjustable coilovers, and there’s a de Dion rear axle. The Porsche braking system, meanwhile, uses discs at the front and drums at the rear. The engine was originally a 2-litre flat-four from a Porsche 914, and was running on fuel injection. It’s subsequently been taken out to 2366cc with different barrels and cylinder heads, and has larger valves and a lightened flywheel. It’s now fitted with twin Dellorto 45 DRLA carburettors and drives through a Porsche 901 five-speed gearbox. In 2007, the 550 Spyder was bought by a British Porsche enthusiast who’d previously owned a 928 and a 911 SC. He was living in Spain at the time and revelled in its performance on the rural roads of the Costa Brava, and during his ownership the car was featured in Volks Worldmagazine.
