It is said that good things come to those who wait. In April 1989, a gentleman in Southern California put down a sizable deposit toward the purchase of a new Testarossa. The estimated delivery timeframe for his new Ferrari? Four years. So, he waited. Luckily, he would not have to wait quite that long. As documented by original purchase paperwork on file, he took delivery of his new car via Ferrari of Monterey in Seaside, California, in March 1992. By that point, Testarossa production had ended, but the Ferrari 512 TR he brought home was an improvement in every meaningful way: Debuting in January 1992 at the Los Angeles Auto Show, Pininfarina’s iconic wedge design was subtly refined, and the model benefited from performance enhancements to its mid-mounted flat-12 engine (now producing 428 brake horsepower), as well as a revised chassis with a lower center of gravity for more confident handling. But what made his 512 TR particularly special was its striking factory color combination of Blu Sera Metallizzato over Crema leather. Only 28 cars were factory-finished in this alluring exterior color worldwide; of these, only six were delivered new to the United States market. Further, only two of these cars featured the Blu Sera/Crema combination seen here. Built in July 1991, it was clearly a relatively early production example. The accompanying original window sticker notes a $195,600 suggested retail price for the Ferrari, which included a set of factory fitted luggage. The 512 TR’s fortunate owner cherished the car for the next 34 years. Gran Touring Classics of Long Beach was entrusted with its care, with invoices on file spanning 2003–2008 noting a major engine service in 2003, an air conditioning system overhaul, work to the starting and electrical systems, and remedy of “sticky” interior components. Concurrent state inspection records confirm a history of regular use and maintenance. In preparation for the sale, it returned to Gran Touring Classics in June 2025 for a major, engine-out service (and fitment of new Michelin Pilot Sport tires) completed at a cost of $28,414.73. Despite this diligent care, the car was driven only sparingly, and at the time of cataloguing it displayed fewer than 7,810 miles—a figure reflected in the cars excellent, highly original state of cosmetic preservation. Indeed, this car is understood to be the lowest-mileage US-market Blu Sera 512 TR—in addition to being among the best-preserved, lowest-mileage 512 TRs of any specification, in any color, presently available for acquisition. Offered now by its original owner, and accompanied by original deposit slip and purchase order, delivery documentation, its window sticker, service invoices, and accessories catalogue, Ferrari brochures, and a selection of Ferrari Club letters and magazines from over the years, as well as the tool kit, manuals, and a five-piece set of factory luggage still in its original boxes—and even pre-delivery Polaroids of this very car!—this low-mileage 512 TR would be a spectacular candidate for continued preservation and presentation at marque shows and events. Let the opportunity pass, and there is no telling how long you may have to wait for such a special modern Ferrari to come around again. 1992 Ferrari 512 TR RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. This F40 is one of the approximate 224 U.S. F40's built between 1990-1992. This car ordered new through Wide World Ferrari (still in business today) and sold by one of the legends of a salesman Nick Saridakis. The first owner took delivery of the car in Italy and the European license plate frame is still on the car today. This car was acquired by the second owner around 1998. He acquired the car through Wide World Ferrari as well. The second owner was a very prominent member in the world finance community and one of the top ten car collectors in the world. This car was well looked after by his collection manager. This car was always serviced at each interval. Upon our acquisition we have done a cryogenic cleaning to the chassis and engine bay, a concours detail to the exterior of the car and we recovered the seats with new foam and the proper nomex material. We performed a full major service including: Belts, Cam Cover Seals, Spark Plugs, Water Pump Rebuild, all new filters, change all fluids. This is a rare opportunity to acquire an F40 that has never been publicly for sale, extremely low ownership and has been owned for a very long time by its previous custodian. 1991 Ferrari F40 GT Motor Cars If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1993 Cizeta V16T
By the 1980s, former Lamborghini test driver and development engineer Claudio Zampolli had relocated to Los Angeles and established a successful business servicing the supercars of the wealthy and famous. But his dreams did not end there: Determined to build his own supercar, Zampolli teamed up with music producer Giorgio Moroder as an investor in the late 1980s and embarked on his journey to create an exotic like nothing that had been seen before. Zampolli wanted something that would grab headlines, and he knew that an innovative V-16 was the answer. Inspired by the engine layout of the Lamborghini Miura, Zampolli’s creation had a transverse-mounted 6.0-liter V-16 with a five-speed manual gearbox. The stunning bodywork was penned by legendary designer Marcelo Gandini, who is also known for designing the Miura, Countach, Stratos, and countless other iconic cars. Zampolli’s partnership with Moroder dissolved after the first prototype, and the cars, initially marketed as the Cizeta-Moroder V16T, went into production wearing only the Cizeta name. Ultimately, only nine examples were completed in the V16T’s initial run due to production delays and the model’s complexity. For Zampolli, however, Cizeta was a success: His dream of building an exclusive supercar of his own design had been accomplished, and the final result was nothing short of spectacular. Given the Cizeta’s backstory, cost, and exclusivity, it is no surprise that each V16T produced has an interesting backstory. This car, chassis 101, is no exception. After Brunei became an independent country in 1983, the Sultan of Brunei and his family used a portion of their vast oil wealth to build the largest car collection the world had ever seen. Commissioning approximately 2,000 cars from all different manufacturers, the Royal Family singlehandedly kept many luxury brands in business through the tough years of the 1990s. Their search for the most exclusive and technically advanced cars money could buy led them to Cizeta. The Royal Family purchased three of the nine Cizeta V16Ts built: This blue example and two black examples. Chassis 101 was ordered by Hong Seh Motors of Singapore on behalf of the Brunei Royal Family. Hong Seh was the official Ferrari dealership in Singapore, and many cars from the Royal Family’s collection were ordered through them. Finished in blue with blue leather interior and with right-hand drive, chassis 101 was used in press photo shoots throughout Italy and was displayed at the 1993 Geneva Auto Show. Nearly all 983 kilometers (~611 miles) on the odometer at the time of cataloguing are believed to have been accumulated during testing by the factory in this period. Interestingly, chassis 101 has horizontal slats over the side air intakes like the prototype, while most other examples have vertical slats. Chassis 101 was shipped from Modena to Asia in March 1993; for unknown reasons, it remained with Hong Seh Motors in Singapore for over 25 years and was never delivered to Brunei. Pininfarina subsequently heavily modified the other two V16Ts purchased by the Royal Family with Ferrari flat-12 engines and irreversible structural changes. One of those cars remains in an incomplete disassembled state, while the other is displayed in the Marconi Museum in Tustin, California. Chassis 101 is the only V16T from the Brunei Royal Family’s collection to have escaped this fate and today remains just as it arrived in Singapore. A previous owner purchased chassis 101 from Hong Seh Motors in 2020 and returned the car to driving condition after its two-and-a-half-decade stay in Singapore. Prior to being sold again in 2021, the car had all the fluids changed, the cooling system serviced, and the fuel system cleaned. With its innovative transverse-mounted V-16 positioned close to the passengers, the Cizeta is a thrill to drive with a unique sound unlike any other supercar. The Cizeta V16T is a seldom-seen but incredibly interesting machine which still remains one of very few post-war sixteen-cylinder production cars. With incredible performance, stunning design, fascinating history, and utmost exclusivity, this V16T will surely stand out wherever it goes. 1993 Cizeta V16T RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1962 Porsche 356 B 2000 GS Carrera 2
The GT3 of its time There are many iterations of Porsche’s foundational 356, though few are as rare or as exciting to drive as the B 2000 GS Carrera 2. Conceived to homologate engineer Ernst Fuhrmann’s soul-stirring two-litre four-cam Carrera engine for racing, the 356 B 2000 GS was the fastest and most powerful production Porsche road car, boasting 130HP and a top speed in excess of 120mph – considerably higher figures than its 1500cc two-cam counterparts. Despite the hefty price tag of 7,600 US dollars, customers lapped up the new ‘hot’ 356 and Porsche’s order books soon filled up – especially with customers from across the pond in the United States of America. Despite only needing to build 100 examples to satisfy the homologation requirements, Porsche sold a staggering 278 B 2000 GS Carrera 2s. In so many respects, the Carrera 2 is the GT3 of its time. Chassis no. 119534 A beautifully restored yet highly authentic example of the Porsche 356 B 2000 GS Carrera 2, chassis number 119534 was first briefly employed as a factory test vehicle. It left the factory in April of 1962, destined for Paris. It was originally finished in Oslo Blue over a red leatherette and beige corduroy interior. Crucially, it was specified with the ultra-rare factory electronic sunroof and disc brakes on all four corners. The car remained in France for three years before it was returned to the factory and subsequently sold to the United States. It was listed in the Porsche 4-Cam Registry by its California-based owner Terry Massa in 1983. Records show Massa retained chassis number 119534 until 2000, when it passed into the hands of the German 356 authority Dieter Ambrosy and was subsequently returned to its homeland. Ambrosy undertook a two-year ground-up restoration of the car in 2006. The primary goal for the project was preserving originality. Refinished in metallic silver over a black interior, chassis number 119534 was issued with its German registration in August of 2008. In 2014, this Carrera 2 was acquired by a German enthusiast building a remarkable collection of world-class Porsches spanning the marque’s entire history. As the accompanying documentation attests, this 356 has since been fastidiously maintained regardless of cost, carefully stored in the aforementioned collection and enjoyed on several occasions, including on the Schloss Bensberg Supersports Classic Rally in 2017. The notice and take down procedure is described here: https://www.speedholics.com/copyright The GT3 of its time There are many iterations of Porsche’s foundational 356, though few are as rare or as exciting to drive as the B 2000 GS Carrera 2. - 1962 Lotus Elite S2
Very pretty second-generation Type 14 in great colours. The Lotus Elite Type 14, when first launched in 1958, put Colin Chapman and Lotus cars very firmly on the map. It utilised a monocoque construction which meant there was no separate chassis and the body was load-bearing, and whilst this was becoming accepted practice, the Elite was the first time it had been attempted in glass-fibre. When combined with independent sporty suspension, a ZF gearbox, disc brakes, a Coventry Climax all-aluminium engine and a very low drag coefficient of just 0.29, it made for a great drivers car, so much so that by production end in 1963 over 1,000 had been produced and Lotus was now a credible British sports car manufacturer. Offered here is an Elite SE, the higher performance variant with twin SU carburettors, a fabricated exhaust system giving 85bhp, the ZF Gearbox and Lucas PL700 headlamps. With a change of colour to red in 1990 and the roof painted silver, it has created a very pleasing combination that suits the lines of this pretty coupé, enhanced by the addition of chrome wire wheels in 2008. The S2 cockpit is slightly less spartan than the early cars, and in this case it's furnished in black leather with blue carpets and fitted with Willans harnesses. The history file shows that #1912 benefitted from a reconditioned steering rack in 2002 together with front and rear wishbones. The differential was overhauled with new bearings and seals, together with a dynamo rebuild and new rear brake pads have been fitted. The history file contains a number of old invoices and some old MOTs. Minimalistic and with great looks, Colin Chapman knew he had another winner back in the 1950s with the Coventry Climax-powered Elite, which still looks fresh and sharp today. 1962 Lotus Elite S2 Iconic Auctioneers Ltd If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1987 Ford GT40 MK V by Safir Engineering
The Ford GT40 had rightfully earned its place in the history as one of the most successful sports racing cars extant following its victory at Le Mans and domination in international sports car racing throughout the 1960s. The desirability of the model was future proofed and collectors to the current day regard the GT40 as one of the most important and collectible sports cars of all time By the early 1980s Mr Peter Thorp owner of Safir Engineering, a constructor of Formula Three racing cars, was keen to acquire an original GT40 but struggled to find one which led him to contact John Willment, who had retained a large stock of original spares, tools, jigs and drawings back from the days of his involvement with partner John Wyer in the original construction of the cars for Ford Advanced Vehicles “Negotiations with Ford in Dearborn led to agreement that further examples could be built, with Safir continuing the run of chassis numbers from the point of completion, but allowing for a further three ‘original’ chassis to be completed and registered, since Willment was intending to, one day finalise the GT40 build programme by finally constructing the three chassis and boxes of parts he still held in storage. As the final chassis had been ‘GTP/1086’, he retained ‘1087’, ‘1088’ and ‘1089’. The first Safir chassis would therefore be ‘1090’.” – Trevor Legate, Ford GT40, Production & Racing History The team of engineers was assembled from Safir and a number of ex JW Engineering employees in 1980 to construct the Ford sanctioned ‘GT40 Mk V’ programme, a series of forty cars produced between 1980-88, available in various period correct specifications and colours at the customers request. Although Safir received no financial assistance from Ford, they sanctioned the Mark V project and assisted with obtaining certification for road use. Between them, JW Engineering and Safir, it was agreed that these ‘continuation’ cars would be called ‘GT40 Mark V Powered by Ford’, Safir later obtaining the ‘GT40’ trademark Constructed by Safir in 1987 for Lord Beaverbrook and finished in the evocative racing colours of Gulf Oil (Blue/Orange Heritage colours) sponsors of JW Automotive’s 1968 Le Mans-winning Ford GT40, our car is believed to be the sole example of the forty cars Mk V cars finished in these colours. - 1981 Porsche 924 Carrera GT 2
First registration 03.1981 Swiss delivery Only 400 built Swiss road registration “The bang and the brute power delivery comes at just under 4500 revs – the steering wheel gripped tightly, you’re glued to the seat, a smile sets in and spreads to a grin all over your face. That’s what a four-cylinder turbo from the ’80s feels like.” The Porsche 924 Carrera GT offered here is one of only 406 built (including 6 prototypes) and was delivered by Porsche in Winterthur. The original warranty and delivery card from Porsche is present as well as the service booklet and the exhaust maintenance document, which are kept without any gaps. This beautiful Porsche 924 Carrera GT has always been perfectly maintained, all necessary work has been done and is in absolute top collector condition. This special model, limited to 400 pieces, has undisputed rarity value and is, in our opinion, a currently undervalued collector’s item. The prototype of the Porsche 924 Carrera GT (factory code 937) was presented at the IAA in Frankfurt in 1979. It was intended to underline the performance of the 924 and at the same time give a preview of the body shape of the planned Porsche 944. The Porsche 924 Carrera GT was only built in 1981 in an edition of 400 units. Since the vehicle did not meet the strict emissions regulations in the USA, it was not allowed to be sold there. With the six prototypes together, the total number of Carrera GTs built is 406. The car served as the basis for the development of the Carrera GTS, GTP and GTR racing car models, which were successfully entered in World Sports Car Championship races such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the early 1980s. 1981 Porsche 924 Carrera GT Lutziger Classic Cars AG If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1949 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Super Sport Cabriolet by Pinin Farina 1
This beautifully restored Alfa Romeo was delivered new to pre-war racing legend and subsequent Alfa Romeo factory racing team member Count Goffredo Zehender of Milan, Italy. According to noted Alfa Romeo expert Angelo Tito Anselmi, chassis number 915871 was built in October 1949, specified as a short-wheelbase Super Sport chassis, and equipped with engine number 928182. Specially prepared at Pinin Farina, this cabriolet coachwork design is believed to be limited to just three or four examples influenced by Zehander due to his racing prominence in the community which resulted in his cars finished with special details, either for himself, or for his friends and customers. These details included a unique front fascia with enveloping treatment, larger inset grille sections, a sculpted hood and rear haunches, and a license plate cut-out in the trunk lid. In addition to his racing prowess with Alfa Romeo, Zehander continued to race with Maserati and Mercedes-Benz during the 1930s while participating in the 24 Hours of Le Mans twice. The elegant but sporty 6C was the ideal cabriolet for the man who would ultimately manage the Scuderia Inter racing team, one of the first privateer teams to campaign Ferrari sports cars. After Zehander’s ownership, in 1953, a US Army officer purchased the car from the South of France and imported it to California. In March of 1957 it was acquired by Robert Allinger of Saratoga, California. Allinger, an American coachbuilder, was well known for his body designs building record chasing dry-lakes cars. Allinger was also an avid West Coast motorsports enthusiast who entered a Maserati Coupe for John Fox in 1957 at Laguna Seca, and an Osca, also for Fox, the following year. In 1969, Allinger sold the car to Wayne Williams of Mountain View, California, who retained the car in original condition, remaining for decades in dry California storage until 2010 after a remarkable 41 years of ownership, when it was purchased by the next owners who consigned it to Fantasy Junction. The car was sold to the current owner in 2013 who commissioned a comprehensive seven-year restoration of the finest quality employing expert European craftsmen addressing every detail, material, and finish befitting the historic import of this exquisite Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Super Sport. During the restoration, the restoration process was eased by nearly 50 years of indoor preservation allowing for only minor metal work to the original body and appropriate welding for the rocker sills. With many of the original parts properly preserved, details such as the factory wheel covers with brass centers were carefully restored while accurate templates supplied dimensions for consumables such as the meticulously fabricated exhaust. Further details were painstakingly restored with attention to authenticity, fit, and finish. Consistent with consummate attention to all aspects of the car, the correct in-line six-cylinder engine was delivered to a specialist in Belgium who disassembled it entirely and performed a comprehensive rebuild, while the suspension elements, rear axle, steering components, and radiator were rebuilt by a marque expert in Germany, with Italian specialists rebuilding the carburetors, instruments, and wiring loom. Addressing the finishing touches, Motorima in Sweden, Scandinavia’s leading specialist in Italian marques, refinished the car in grigio metallizzato including new chrome for the brightwork and careful refinishing for the beautifully complex 98-piece grille. Expert upholstery was carefully stitched and fitted in Norway using the finest forest green leather hides and sage green convertible top. In 2020, after seven years of careful restoration, this Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 was accepted for exhibition at the annual Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance where it would have been displayed in the special Pininfarina class to celebrate their 90th anniversary. Due to Covid restrictions, however, the event was cancelled, and the following year further travel restrictions prevented participation. Today this Alfa Romeo presents as one of the most stunning examples of this era, combining coachbuilding artistry and technical innovation. The finishes throughout are exemplary in every respect. Just as the traditions of fine Italian craftsmanship were applied when first built, premier European artisans have once again proven their exquisite restoration skills. The Pinin Farina coachwork with its unique design features adorns the elegant cabriolet Super Sport body with elegance and sporting flair. The lustrous, deep silver paint is beautifully finished, applied with consistent coverage and excellent final polish to all areas. This rich metallic color enhances the streamlined singular envelope body which was very advanced for the period. The polished rocker trim accentuates the low-profile body while a set of Blockley tires and full chrome wheel covers add to the sporting nature of this design. Refined brightwork surrounding the sculpted art deco headlamps is perfectly formed and polished, while accessory lights, specially trimmed rear license plate, and recessed door handles are beautifully fit to the body. The exterior trim, chrome, and elegant Super Sport features are beautifully presented while the contrasting dark green interior is offset by delightful amber handles and knobs, a wicker wound steering wheel, and Jaeger gauges. Every aspect of the leather interior is properly executed including correct seat pleats, door panels and pockets, and tinted plexiglass sun visors. No detail has escaped the careful eyes of the celebrated experts who participated in this world class restoration. Under the hood, the matching numbers engine and beautifully finished engine compartment have been comprehensively restored using correct factory finishes, correct hardware and fasteners, and proper wiring, all of which are brought together with mechanical refinement and aesthetic harmony befitting a car of this caliber. The engine castings are uniformly finished with attention to detail and authenticity in every respect, including the three original Weber carburetors, sculpted intake, and finned exhaust manifolds. The trunk is finished with a correct spare wire wheel, matching Blockley tire and a correct scissor jack with tire changing tools. The underside of the car has been restored with the same attention to detail and authenticity afforded to the exterior, displaying accurate details, proper fasteners, and correct exhaust down to the hand shaped square edge exhaust tip. The entire composition resonates with passionate Italian artistry and restoration excellence in this truly exceptional car. This Alfa Romeo is accompanied by tire changing tools, an owner’s manual and brochure, and a presentation display highlighting the restoration. This Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Super Sport represents a rare opportunity to acquire a beautifully restored Alfa Romeo with coach work by Pinin Farina and world-class restoration. The elegant body lines, sporting 6C engine, and stunning interior makes this Super Sport a welcomed entrant to any major event celebrating the icons of automotive history. - 1969-alfa-romeo-1750-gtv-serie-1
The two-door coupé, based on the Alfa Romeo Giulia chassis, had its debut in September 1963 at the Frankfurt IAA. Initially called Giulia Sprint GT, the car received a timelessly beautiful coachwork designed by none other by Giorgetto Giugiaro and is considered an absolute design icon to this day. Produced until 1975 it was equipped with engines from 1.3 to 2.0 litres. Our example, a 1750 GT Veloce of the first series with floor mounted pedals is probably the most sought after variant. Completed in 1969, the Alfa was most probably a demo with Joseph Siffert Automobiles (THE racing legend Jo Siffert) before it was handed over to its first owner, an automotive electrician from Bern, on the 14th of April 1970. On the 20th of May 1970, the beautiful coupé was registered for the first time. The GTV remained with its first owner until 2010 when, after a long storage and with 90’000 kilometres covered, it was passed on to a good friend, the vendor‘s father. The new owner had some stone chips and scratches repaired with a partial repaint and had the Alfa carefully recommissioned. In 2013 he handed the GTV over to his son who, in 2016 had all shaft seals replaced on the engine, gearbox and differential. At the same time the car also received new clutch cylinders as well as a new clutch pressure- and friction plate. In 2023 the rear axle was equipped with new brake callipers and pads and in 2024 a new brake servo as well as a new fuel pump were installed. Lack of time led to only 4’000 kilometres covered in the last 14 years and the vendor now has decided to sell his GTV. This fantastic 1750 now has 93’000 kilometres on the clock, still has its own document folder including its service booklet and is in very good and very original condition. The coupé will be sold to the next Alfisto with a number of receipts as well as the most recent veteran MOT from June 2024. 1969 Alfa Romeo 1750 GTV Serie 1 Oldtimer Galerie International GmbH If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer.
