Constructed as the 119th example, chassis number 2447 GT was completed in April 1961 destined for Ferrari’s home market of Italy. It was originally finished in Grigio Conchiglia over Pelle Rosso trim. According to records provided by marque historian Marcel Massini, the car was sold new just days later to HRH The Prince Don Gonzalo de Bourbon via M G Crepaldi Automobili, the official Ferrari dealership in Milan. A grandson of the former King of Spain, the Prince, later Duke of Aquitaine, is believed to have kept chassis 2447 for the next seven years before parting ways in 1968. Following its sale, the car passed through a series of five Italian caretakers before its acquisition by the consignor, a resident of Rome, in 2009. While in Rome, the Ferrari was subject to some restoration work performed by marque specialist Scuderia Baldini. In 2018, the car was certified by Ferrari Classiche; it is offered with its important “Red Book”. The car notably retains its matching-numbers chassis and engine and is accompanied by its rare factory hard-top roof.
