The eight-cylinder of the 90s: the Ferrari F355 Berlinetta! The F355 was an ode to the 348, the last Ferrari with a standard manual transmission. The type designation was a surprise for the purists: the first two digits still indicated the cylinder capacity, but the last digit was no longer the number of cylinders, but the number of valves. Consistency, Enzo, consistency! As soon as you wake up the light-footed Otto cilindri a V, you quickly forget about it. In fact: we catch ourselves doing it every time with a childish grin. What a party it is to let those 380 Italian horses loose at more than 8200 rpm! Everything is sensazione pura: the dials are focused on the driver, her road holding is filthy good and when the oil is up to temperature, she likes to show it to your right hand via the aluminum stick. Every time you press the gas pedal, wait for Pavarotti's petrol brother and end up with: clack-clack through the aluminium guides. Do you feel it? Ours? As it should be. Delivered new in the Netherlands at Kroymans in 1996, finished in the iconic Rosso Corsa. 51 thousand kilometres, exclusively maintained by Forza Service and Kroymans. Largely still in its original paint and always remained in the Netherlands. Of course, all documentation is available. Burning questions? We are happy to help you! Unveiled at the 1966 Geneva Salon, the Ferrari 330 GTC offered a masterful blend of comfort and performance, capturing the best qualities of both the luxurious 330 GT 2+2 and the competition-inspired 275 GTB. Designed and assembled by Pininfarina in Turin before receiving its mechanical components at Ferrari’s facility in Maranello, the GTC shared the 275 GTB’s steering, suspension, and five-speed transaxle. Its wheelbase, 10 inches shorter than the 330 GT 2+2, provided agility and a notably dynamic driving character that set it apart from other mid-century touring models. Headlining the car’s credentials was its 4.0-liter Colombo V-12 engine, producing 300 horsepower and endowing it with remarkable performance for such a sophisticated grand tourer, reaching 60 mph from a standstill in under seven seconds on its way to a 150-mph top speed. Stylistically, the 330 GTC reflected Pininfarina’s clean, balanced design language. Its forward section echoed the exclusive 500 Superfast with a slim ovoid grille, recessed headlights, and triple-louvered engine-bay vents, while the tail—borrowed from the 275 GTS—added visual lightness, complemented by slim quarter bumpers. Inside, the rear seats were replaced with a practical luggage shelf while exceptionally thin A- and B-pillars created an airy cabin with outstanding visibility all around. The 330 GTC offered here—chassis 9595—completed production on 6 March 1967, with subsequent mechanical fine-tuning carried out by Ferrari’s Assistenza Clienti department at Viale Trento Trieste in Modena. Originally earmarked for export to Switzerland as a left-hand-drive European specification with kilometer-calibrated instruments, the car left the factory presented as it is today in Azzurro (20336 A) over Nero Franzi trim. Ultimately, the car remained in its native Italy, being sold new to a Milanese gentleman before being exported to the United States in 1973 by Milan-based dealer Dino Armando Genghini. Following its arrival stateside, chassis 9595 was sold in September 1973 to a Denver, Colorado, resident who retained it for approximately a year before it passed to an enthusiast in Phoenix, Arizona. After its tenure in the Southwest, the Ferrari came under the ownership of acclaimed civic architect Robert “Bob” Frasca. A founding design partner of the Portland, Oregon-based Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Architects, one of the world’s premier architectural firms, Frasca played a critical role in the evolution of Portland as one of America’s most livable cities and was instrumental in shaping its skyline. He designed many of the Rose City’s most important civic projects, including Waterfront Park, the Multnomah County Justice Center, the Oregon Convention Center, and the Portland International Airport. Frasca would cherish chassis 9595 for nearly three decades, with numerous invoices on file attesting to the car’s maintenance under his care. The legendary architect parted with the Ferrari in 2014 before it was subsequently acquired by the consignor who promptly commissioned an extensive, nearly $47,000 mechanical overhaul by Dino Motors of San Rafael, California. Invoices on file reflect a meticulous rebuild of the numbers-matching engine, new hoses, clutch adjustment, electrical sorting, a fresh wood dashboard, and a host of additional fine mechanical corrections. Further work followed in 2018, when 9595 returned to Dino Motors for continued attention, including a rebuild of its triple Weber carburetors. The car is accompanied by a set of Campagnolo alloy wheels, a service file, and an assortment of owner’s books with leather pouch. Supremely glamorous and consistently admired, this cherished 330 GTC exemplifies the elegance and balance of Ferrari’s mid-century grand touring cars, an example certain to delight its next custodian for years to come. 1967 Ferrari 330 GTC by Pininfarina RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1992 Ferrari 512 TR
Over thirty-five years after its introduction, the Testarossa remains a visually stunning expression of Ferrari. Its shocking proportions, particularly the width of the rear track, were driven by the decision to move the radiators from the front of the car to the sides to reduce cabin heat, necessitating what became the car’s visual calling card: the long strakes on the doors and rear fenders. Much of the car’s development was aimed at making the Testarossa more civilized than its Boxer predecessor, addressing contemporary complaints that the Boxer was too raw and insufficiently usable. By that measure, the Testarossa was a success: it was exceptionally high performance but also refined and comfortable. It was a blend that struck a chord with buyers, and over 7,200 examples were built, making it one of Ferrari’s most successful cars of all time. The Testarossa received minor updates throughout its relatively long production run, and then a major update for the 1992 model year to turn it into the 512 TR. Virtually every system of the car was substantially re-engineered, largely with the goal of addressing complaints that the original Testarossa had forgone a little too much of the visceral excitement that should define a Ferrari. The engine was changed from Bosch CIS to Motronic, the valves enlarged, and the compression ratio increased. The exhaust system was also redesigned and the resulting engine gained approximately 50hp and a broader power curve while also becoming dramatically more responsive and sounding much better. The engine was also moved forward and down in the car, a significant enough change to improve the weight distribution by one percentage point at each axle. The suspension was also revised, the steering ratio quickened, and lower profile tires fitted to go with new 18 inch wheels, an increase of two inches. The brakes were also enlarged and fitted with cross drilled rotors. The resulting car feels dramatically different before the clutch is even out: its powertrain is much more urgent, and there is a tautness to its responses in all respects which transforms the quiet, civilized feel of the Testarossa into something with genuine sporting urgency. This particular car is a US car which spent its life in various states, including with its current owner in California for the last 11 years. It has covered 20,000 miles and presents nicely. It has two sets of aftermarket wheels: vintage silver Speedline modular wheels as well as more contemporary black HREs. The car also has a Tubi muffler and a period aftermarket stereo. These changes are easily reversible but collectively give the car a sort of time-warp feeling because the modifications are consistent with how this car would have been modified when new. Included with the car are the HRE wheels as well as the books and partially complete tool set. 1992 Ferrari 512 TR ISSIMI, Inc If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. BMW presents the Type 507 at the IAA 1955. With a price of almost DM 30,000, the car was almost as expensive as a Mercedes 300 SL, which was only offered as a roadster from 1957. This meant that it was only affordable for extremely well-heeled customers, which also led to an extremely low production figure of only 252 vehicles. The design of the body came from the industrial designer Albrecht Graf Goertz. The body was made of aluminium. Today, the 507 is considered a design icon and is a highly sought-after collector’s item. This 507 was produced in July 1959 and is one of the last 5 examples built. As one of the last 507s produced, it was fitted with disc brakes on the front axle. It was delivered to Frankfurt/Main in this colour combination and still presents itself today with its original engine and gearbox, (Matching numbers and Colours!) very rare for a BMW 507. In 1998 this BMW 507 was restored by a well-known specialist. Invoices and documentation are available. In one hand for 50 years! Very well documented. 1959 BMW 507 Series 2 Thiesen Hamburg GmbH If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1981 BMW M1
The famous BMW roundel has led the field in many disciplines of motorsport, and the Munich marque’s motivation to build the M1 was born out of its competitive endeavours. By the end of the 1970s, its CSL cars were losing an edge against Porsche’s new 935, and BMW needed a mid-engined chassis to fit its twin-cam 3.5-litre six-cylinder engine. BMW’s Motorsport division first contacted Lamborghini for help needed but by April 1978 the project had been taken in house. The wedge design was styled by Giorgetto Giugiaro and built in Italy along with the chassis, prior to final assembly taking place at Karosserie Baur in Stuttgart. The resulting product—badged as the BMW M1, and sold from 1978 to 1981—is widely coveted to this day as a rare piece of BMW history. The example offered here was completed by the factory on 9 October 1980 and delivered to BMW France S.A. four days later. Originally finished in Blau over a Schwarz interior, the M1 now presents in Brillantrot with a black leather interior. The BMW is understood to have been exported to the United States at an unknown point, where it is likely to have been fitted with an odometer displaying in miles, which is currently fitted. After returning to Europe, the BMW was exported to Singapore in March 2011, where it has remained until returning to Europe to be offered at auction. According to factory data, this M1 retains its matching-numbers engine. Bidders should note that at the time of cataloguing, the speedometer was not working so the odometer reading cannot be verified. A legend of BMW design and performance, enthusiasts of the marque need look no further than RM Sotheby’s auction in Munich—the home of BMW—for the opportunity to acquire this attractively presented M1. 1981 BMW M1 RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1989 Jaguar XJR-10
The brilliant Tom Walkinshaw Racing guided the factory Jaguar programme to the greatest endurance racing prize of all by winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1988. At the same time, motorsport “Triple Crown”-winning engineer Tony Southgate and Ross Brawn recognised that to remain on the front foot during the ferociously competitive Group C era, the big cats needed to leave leviathan V-12s behind in favour of lighter V-6s that aided chassis balance. The resulting twin-turbocharged V-6-engined XJR-10 divided its time between the World Sportscar Championship, where it appeared in 3.5-litre guise, and the American IMSA GT series for 3,000-cc cars. In the latter, ideally suited to sprint events, the car scored six outright victories plus a further nine top three results. One of three examples built, chassis 589 was responsible for two of those wins and four podiums. Wearing Castrol colours, chassis 589 debuted in the hands of Price Cobb in the 1989 IMSA season finale at Del Mar, finishing 7th. But it was with Davy Jones at the wheel that the car enjoyed its greatest success. The American won the Portland 300 Kilometres bout in 1990 before steering the XJR-10 to the spoils at West Palm Beach the following year. For 1991, chassis 589 had gained a new Bud Light livery, which it carried through to its final race at Heartland Park, Kansas in late May. Initially enjoying a quiet retirement, the Jaguar was owned by seasoned endurance racer Dieter Bergermann in north-west Germany. It was then purchased in March 2005 by the consignor, a prolific historic racer based in the United Kingdom. Under their care, chassis 589 was restored across 2016 and 2017 (invoices available on file). A twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre V-6, as sister XJR-10s used in period, was rebuilt by Advanced Engine Research of Essex in early 2019 at a cost of £34,272 and the 1991 West Palm Beach race-winning Bud Light livery recreated. A report by expert race preparer Moto Historics will be available upon request. Beautifully presented, this magnificent Group C challenger is eligible for a variety of popular historic race series and would be a welcome attendee at many high-profile demonstrations and events. 1989 Jaguar XJR-10 RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1989 Aston Martin V8 Vantage
In 1986 Aston Martin introduced the ultimate development of the legendary V8 Vantage. It included some cosmetic improvements, amongst other (specifically designed for the Vantage), 16-inch Ronal rims and the cars, which were renamed Series 3, are known these days as X-Pack. For most markets, the large coupé was equipped with the well-known 5.3 litre V8 four Weber carburettors and 405 horsepower, but for certain export markets like the USA and Japan, based on more stringent local emission regulations, the engine was converted to fuel injection resulting in a reduced output of 268 horsepower. Only 36 examples of the expensive Vantage, costing more than 300’000 Swiss francs, were built with left hand drive and of those only six cars were equipped with the V585 electronic fuel injection engine specs – called Cosmetic Vantage. Our Aston, # 2682, in “Cumberland Grey” with a black leather interior and automatic gearbox, was delivered to Japan and first registered in Osaka on the 22nd of December 1989. After four Japanese owners and around 60’000 kilometres driven, the Aston was acquired by the vendor in October 2015 and imported into Switzerland via the USA. After arrival in February 2016, the car received a major makeover for 20’000 Swiss francs, then was adapted to Swiss norms and finally MOT’d in June of the same year. In the following years the Vantage was driven sparingly but, as can be seen in the receipts available, regularly maintained amongst others by Roos Engineering. With now 63’200 kilometres on the clock, the noble coupé is in very good and well-maintained original condition and will certainly appeal to James Bond aficionados with its colour combination from “The living daylight” and “No time to die”. The last veteran MOT was completed in March 2021. 1989 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Oldtimer Galerie International GmbH If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1979-ferrari-308-gts-2
In the 1960s, mid-engines were common in racing, but unusual in road cars. Even Enzo Ferrari considered the design for his 12-cylinder engines too risky to offer to customers. He commissioned Sergio Pininfarina to develop a mid-engine prototype based on a 6-cylinder engine. The design was presented at the 1965 Paris Motor Show and was well received. From 1968 onwards, a series of two-seaters was marketed under the Dino brand name. The Dino 206 GT was followed in 1969 by the more powerful Ferrari Dino 246 GT and its open-top version, the Dino 246 GTS. The Dino 308 GT, produced from 1974 onwards, had an 8-cylinder engine, but was a 2+2-seater and only available as a coupé. To fill the gap in the range, the Ferrari 308 GTB was introduced in 1975, establishing a successful series that lasted for 10 years. The first 308 GTBs had a GRP body (called ‘Vetroresina’ in Italian), but after 707 vehicles had been built, Scaglietti switched to a conventional steel body because GRP production was too time-consuming, and in 1977 added the 308 GTS, a targa with a removable roof. The 308 GTS offered here was delivered to the USA in July 1979 and was probably imported to Switzerland in the early 1990s. According to the vehicle registration document, it was first registered on 29 September 1979 with the notation ‘G’ for used. In 2019, the Ferrari was purchased by the consignor for his collection. After taking ownership, he had the car extensively refurbished – among other things, the tailgate dampers were replaced, some carpets were renewed and a major service including replacement of the timing belt (at 60’043 km) was carried out. The attractive Targa then spent most of its time on display at the consignor's premises and was rarely driven. In 2021, at 61’530 km, the 308 was fitted with four new tyres and in 2023, at 63’686 km, an oil change was carried out. With 65’250 km on the clock, the Ferrari is in good to very good condition and will be handed over to a new owner with its last veteran MOT performed in July 2021. 1979 Ferrari 308 GTS Oldtimer Galerie International GmbH If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1949 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Super Sport Cabriolet by Pinin Farina
Introduced in 1939, the Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 featured an increased engine displacement of nearly 2.5 liters, and the Super Sport iteration rode a shortened 2,700-milimeter wheelbase chassis while being equipped with a triple-carbureted intake. Standard closed coachwork for these desirable sporting chassis was built by Touring, although a minority of cars were bodied by Pinin Farina in open and closed forms. Widely regarded as a pivotal bridge between the company’s bygone hand-built pre-war era and the mechanized mass-production that soon followed, the 6C 2500 has evolved into one of Alfa Romeo’s most collectable vintage models, combining performance, style, and luxury. Claiming initial ownership by a significant Italian competition driver, and benefitting from a comprehensive restoration commissioned by the consignor, this rare Pinin Farina-built cabriolet is surely one of the finest 6C 2500 Super Sport examples in existence. According to the records of marque historian Angelo Tito Anselmi, chassis number 915871 was built in October 1949, specified as a short-wheelbase Super Sport chassis and equipped with engine number 928182. The Alfa Romeo was dispatched to Pinin Farina’s workshop for the mounting of special cabriolet coachwork that is believed to be common to just three or four examples. While Pinin Farina bodied as many as 123 different Super Sports from August 1942 onward with a variety of open coachwork designs, just a handful featured this car’s unusual front fascia, chiefly characterized by a lower enveloping treatment with larger inset grille sections, a sculpted hood and rear haunches, and a license plate cut-out in the trunk lid. In April 1950 the 6C 2500 was delivered to its first owner, Count Goffredo Zehender of Milan. Count Zehender had long flourished in Italian motorsports, joining the Alfa Romeo factory team in 1929, and moving on to stints with Maserati and Mercedes-Benz during the 1930s while participating in the 24 Hours of Le Mans twice. The elegant but sporty 6C was surely the perfect ride of choice for the man who managed the Scuderia Inter racing team, one of the first privateer teams to campaign Ferrari sports cars. In 1953 the 6C 2500 was imported to the United States by an armed forces serviceman who registered the car in California. Four years later the cabriolet was sold to Robert Allinger of Saratoga, California, an independent body builder who created exteriors for experimental high-speed dry-lake racers. After 12 years of ownership, Mr. Allinger sold the Alfa Romeo in August 1969 to Alfred “Wayne” Williams of Moreno Valley, California. Mr. Williams drove the 6C for a few years before storing the car in 1974, and it remained carefully domiciled for many years. In 2010, after a remarkable 41-year period of single-owner care, Mr. Williams sold the cabriolet to Lawrence Zinkin of Northern California. Acquired by the consignor in January 2013, the unrestored longtime California car was treated to a comprehensive refurbishment by European craftsmen that took seven years to complete. Due to many years of dedicated care, the 6C displayed remarkably original and rust-free condition, and required only very minimal welding repairs on the sills. All of the original parts were available and intact for rebuild, like the factory wheel covers with brass centers; or at least as templates for the production of accurate facsimiles, such as the exhaust (which was meticulously copied). The engine and gearbox were dispatched to a specialist in Belgium who performed a complete rebuild. The carburetors, instruments, and wiring loom were entrusted to Italian specialists, while the suspension elements, rear axle, steering components, and radiator were rebuilt by an expert in Germany. Motorima in Sweden, Scandinavia’s leading specialist in Italian marques, was commissioned to refinish the rare Pinin Farina cabriolet coachwork, which was rejuvenated with a bare-metal refinish in grigio metallizzato. Motorima also re-chromed the brightwork, including the intricate 98-piece grille. Finally, an expert upholsterer in Norway re-trimmed the interior in forest green leather and fitted a new complementary green-grey soft top. Upon completion of the restoration in 2020, the 6C 2500 was accepted for exhibition at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance’s special Pininfarina class, which was to celebrate the storied carrozzeria’s 90th anniversary. Unfortunately, the 2020 event was cancelled due to COVID, and lingering travel restrictions prevented the consignor from attending the concours a year later. As such, this phenomenally restored cabriolet still awaits its major concours debut, a pleasure that the next caretaker can certainly look forward to. Having accrued only 387 kilometers (~240 miles) since the refurbishment, this Alfa Romeo is ideally prepared for touring enjoyment. Given its rarity and extremely high level of presentation, not to mention the continued presence of its matching-numbers engine and coachwork, the exquisite cabriolet should anticipate a warm welcome at the world’s most distinguished concours d’elegance. 1949 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Super Sport Cabriolet by Pinin Farina RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1977 Ferrari 308 GTB 2
For the first time in Maranello’s history, Ferrari innovates by using fiberglass for the body of the legendary 308 GTB. Lighter by 150 kilos, more maneuverable and therefore more powerful, the 308 was the obvious choice for any racing driver before the model switched to a conventional metal body from 1977 onwards. Produced in just 808 examples, “la Vetroresina” is rare and very pleasant to drive, with the sound of the carbureted V8 dry sump and its characteristic single-exit exhaust. This chassis, number 20937 tipo F106 AB, is one of the last produced and was delivered on March 14, 1977 to Mr. Giovanni Zanoletti by the S.p.a Motor dealership in Bologna for 20,500,000 lire. Equipped with all the options of the time, including a rare air-conditioning system, larger front spoiler, electric windows and wider rims, the car remained in the same family for over 20 years. In 2000, the car was sent to Germany by Mr Stefan Stolle of Wesel, where it was restored by Wilhelm Lackmann, a Ferrari specialist in Bochum, and exported to the Czech Republic in 2008 through Osobni Automobil. On this occasion, the car will receive an extensive technical inspection by the Ferrari-Maserati Scuderia Praha dealership. In 2014, it arrived in Belgium, where its owner will maintain it without saving money at Gipimotor specialist Christophe Van Riet in Brussels until 2024, with a total of just 89070 kilometers on the odometer. Still maniacally preserved in its original paintwork for the most part, its interior, so beautiful in the first series, remains intact, still with its original car radio and instruction manual, order form, new vehicle purchase invoice, copies of all foreign roadworthiness certificates since 1977, warranty booklet, Ferrari service, jack, invoices, copies of technical inspections, virgin French roadworthiness test, approved value appraisal, European roadworthiness certificate. 1977 Ferrari 308 GTB Franco Lembo A.S.P Automobilia SARL If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 2000 Acura NSX-T
Built in November 1999, this 2000 NSX-T is a wonderfully presented example, finished in Silverstone Metallic, which is paired with the sought-after, staggered 7-spoke aluminum wheels. Showing 45,075 miles at the time of cataloging, the car remains in wonderful condition and has been under the care of just 3 California-based owners from new. Starting in 1995, the NSX became the NSX-T as a Targa-style roof was added which became the only available body style through the end of the production run. The interior is finished in black leather with matching black carpets and looks nearly new, showing just some minor wear on the bolsters. One of the things that makes the NSX so nice to drive is the exceptionally low dashboard- a signature of Honda’s in the era- placing the car on the road is so simple, and you still have an exceptionally clear view of the tachometer and speedometer in front of you. When the NSX first came out, one of the things that separated it from the crop of other low-slung, mid-engine cars was its excellent outward visibility- something that was never a strong suit for sports cars. This is why many of these cars ended up as daily drivers, an exciting experience behind the wheel, paired to Honda reliability all in an easy to use package. Right behind the passengers sits the NSX’s 3.2 liter VTEC-equipped DOHC V6 which produces 290 horsepower and 224 lb-ft of torque. Known for their exceptional longevity, it is not uncommon to see one of these cars with over 200,000 miles on the odometer with little more than routine maintenance along the way. This engine is paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox that is known for having some of the best shift action of any vehicle ever sold. Even though the NSX is looked back on quite favorably as one of the first truly usable supercars, when new, they were reasonably underappreciated. After the first few years of strong sales, the numbers tapered off, with just 221 units sold in the United States for the 2000 model year. Of those cars, a portion were fitted with the 4-speed automatic, making this car actually quite rare and sought after. Offered in the ultimate combination of pop-up headlights, with the larger engine, 6-speed manual and 7-spoke wheels, this may be the ultimate US-spec NSX. 2000 Acura NSX-T ISSIMI, Inc If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer.
