  • 1988 BMW M3

Finished in Alpine White II over a black interior, this example of BMW Motorsport’s E30 M3 homologation special was completed in June 1988. While built to Japanese specification—meaning it notably retains pop-out rear windows and is fitted with a conventional H-pattern manual transmission rather than a dogleg gearbox—this M3 was configured in left-hand drive. It is further complemented by a set of rare 16-inch, split-rim alloy wheels. The original owner retained the car until 2015 before it was bought in July of that year by The Munich Masterpieces Collection, at which point it was imported and registered in Finland. Accompanied by a Birth Certificate by BMW Classic, owner’s guides, and a boot-fitted tool kit, the odometer shows 63,082 kilometres at the time of cataloguing. Among the most famous models ever to receive the BMW Motorsport treatment, this E30-generation M3 makes for a highly desirable modern classic. 1988 BMW M3 RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The Lancia Aurelia B24 is one of the most iconic cars of the 50’s. It’s the open version of the Aurelia model and was born in 1954 with the Spider version. It adopts the mechanics of the B20 with the engine that differs only for the air filter, the fan and the water pump. The bodywork, designed by Pininfarina, is an exercise in astonishing style, with a panoramic and enveloping windshield that will characterize it forever. The front and rear bumpers were made in two well-spaced pieces, making it even more elegant. The front and rear bumpers were made in two well-spaced pieces, making it even more elegant. The proportions are a hallmark of this car, which has a rear end almost as long as the front bonnet. By paying a supplement it was possible to order the hard-top, then produced by the legendary Fontana body shop. The prototype was born with right-hand drive, but the normal production took place with left-hand drive, with the right-hand drive option being built only upon request. Production began with the prototype in 1954 and ended in October 1955, giving way to the convertible version. In total, 240 examples were produced, 59 of which were right-hand drive and 181 left-hand drive. This Lancia Aurelia B24S Spider is in excellent condition, with a very interesting history. Sold new in Treviso in 1955, where it remained until 1958; then changed ownership between Venice, Brescia, Rome and Florence, then arriving in the province of Pisa in 1973 and remaining there until today, always in the hands of the same owner. The car underwent into a restoration in the 90’s and is still in excellent condition today, characterized by a fascinating patina that enhances its originality. The bodywork and interiors are in the original production colours, all the mechanical components are of first equipment, allowing the example to emerge as one of the few completely “matching numbers”. The car always remained in Italy, still equipped with original plates and papers (even the original complementary sheet). The car has FIVA certification and ASI Gold Plate Homologation and is eligible for the historical re-enactment of the Mille Miglia. 1955 Lancia Aurelia B24S Spider Andrea Nannetti If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1955 Jaguar XK140 OTS SE

Our car presented here left the Jaguar factory in June 1955 for the Belfast Jaguar distributor. Originally ordered in Right-hand drive and the attractive colourway of British racing Green over a Suede Green leather interior with bucket seats, just as the car presents today. Furthermore, this particular example was ordered new as an original Special Equipment model or 'SE' as it is known. This is confirmed by a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate that will be supplied with the car. The car would remain registered to a business in Northern Ireland, RJ McKenney Ltd, until 1964 when the car would pass onto the ownership of Mr David Clarke of Berwickshire. Six years would pass before the vehicle would move to the London area under the new ownership of Mr Derek-Robert Grant of Southall in 1970. Changing hands once more, chassis 800039 would then pass into the ownership of Mr Hugh Bolton of Suffolk in 1974. Mr David Cottingham, a Jaguar marque aficionado, would purchase the car in 2018 and see to it that this now presents as surely one of the very best XK140s existent. Featuring all matching numbers, the car has over the course of the last four years been totally restored to DK Engineering’s exacting standards. A decision was made to further enhance the already strong performance of this motorcar by upgrading several components including fitment of a racing ‘D’ type cylinder head and camshafts, H8 carburettor, polished crank, and rods, 5-speed gearbox, limited slip differential and alloy rimmed wire wheels. Attention has also been paid to the general road manners of the car through a thorough overhaul and testing program applied to the braking system. Full weather equipment has also been newly manufactured for the car ensuring that it can be used as Jaguar intended. The sale of this motorcar will include the following spares; cylinder head and camshafts, gearbox (freshly overhauled), seats, wheels. The cherished registration shown in the images is not included as part of the sale. Visually stunning and very fast, this XK140 OTS SE is surely one of the very best examples of Jaguar's classic 1950's sports car to come to market in recent years. Perfect, for runs down to Goodwood or worthy of an entry into many a classic car show, the extensive works undertaken in recent years ensure the cars useability truly match its beauty. 1955 Jaguar XK140 OTS SE D.K. • 1954 Jaguar XK140 OTS

This Jaguar XK 140 Roadster has just emerged from a painstaking restoration and is beautifully presented in its original colour combination of Birch Grey with red interior. Chassis number 800003 was completed on 26 November 1954 and was the third right-hand-drive XK 140 Roadster to be built. This variant was by far the most rare of all the XK 140s, with only 73 being built between 1954 and 1956. In contrast, 480 Drophead Coupés and 839 Fixed-Head Coupés left the Browns Lane factory in right-hand-drive configuration. The XK 140 was dispatched on 15 December 1954 and supplied via Henlys London to the Halls dealership in Finchley, on the northern outskirts of the capital. The car’s original registration number of 505 EHX – which it still wears almost 70 years later – was issued in Middlesex. Little is known of the XK 140’s early history, but it was acquired by the current owner in 1969. He then stored it for several decades until it was in need of a total restoration. This has been carried out over the past three years, with the Jaguar being returned to its former glory. The bodywork was entrusted to Lee Thompson at ML Classics Ltd in Warwickshire and the car was then taken to T&T, which is based near Nuneaton, so that it could be resprayed in Birch Grey. Hamptons Coach Trimming took care of the interior, which is superbly finished in red, and Classic Engineering Works did the engine machining work that was required. Photographs show that, at some point before the XK 140 had gone into storage, it had been fitted with a triple-carburettor set-up, but it is now running on the correct twin SUs. Now at The Classic Motor Hub and offered for sale for the first time in more than 50 years, this Jaguar XK 140 Roadster is a very rare and extremely early right-hand-drive example. It retains its matching-numbers engine and is presented in original specification, down to its steel wheels and rear spats, with a wealth of receipts and photographs documenting its rebuild. MODEL HISTORY Introduced in 1954 as the replacement for the XK 120, the Jaguar XK 140 retained the outline of its famous predecessor while adding various refinements and updates. It holds a coveted place in the affections of marque cognoscenti, with many arguing that it’s the best of all the XKs thanks to its blend of 120 style and 150 practicality. Among the external changes was a revised radiator grille with fewer vertical slats, plus more substantial bumpers. The engine was moved forwards and the interior was redesigned in order to give occupants a little extra room, but the two-piece windscreen remained. Mechanical revisions included telescopic dampers in place of lever-arm units, plus rack-and-pinion steering instead of the old recirculating ball set-up. Beneath the bonnet was the same 3.4-litre engine found in the XK 120, but in a heightened state of tune. The standard XK 140 produced 190bhp, while the SE model gained a cylinder head to C-type specification and was good for 210bhp. The latter was designated XK 140 MC in North America, and it was to this vital market that most XK 140s were exported. When Karl Ludvigsen tested an XK 140 in the US for Sports Car Illustrated, he concluded: ‘This latest revision of a time-tested machine is notably improved in the handling and braking departments, and this, together with its smooth and surging power, make it a delight to drive at high speeds over long distances on fast, winding roads.’ The same three body styles were offered as on the XK 120 – Roadster, Drophead Coupé and Fixed-Head Coupé – with production being split roughly equally between them. In total, 8937 XK 140s were built before it was replaced by the XK 150 in 1957. 1954 Jaguar XK140 OTS Cool Classic Club If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The notice and take down procedure is described here: https://www.speedholics.com/copyright This Jaguar XK 140 Roadster has just emerged from a painstaking restoration and is beautifully presented in its original colour combination of Birch Grey with red interior. • 1965 Jaguar E-Type Series 3

The E-Type Jaguar debuted at the 1961 Geneva Motorshow as a replacement for the hugely successful Jaguar XK150. The new E-Type was nothing short of a revelation, with its heady blend of supercar performance, breath-taking styling and low price tag, the newcomer left its rivals reeling and customers desperate to own one. Designed by William Lyons and Malcolm Sayer, the E-Type was launched in 1961 in both fixed head coupe and roadster form with design inspiration taken from the Le-Mans winning D-Type sports racer. Built around a steel monocoque chassis with a front sub-frame to cradle the engine, all-round independent suspension using coil springs and dampers to the rear with torsion bars and wishbones to the front. Brakes were Dunlop discs all round, mounted inboard to the rear alongside the differential to reduce un-sprung weight. Powered by Jaguar’s XK straight six engine, the E-Type offered breath taking performance to rival both Ferrari and Aston Martin. The first significant up-grade occurred in October 1964 with the launch of the 4.2-litre version. Along with the bigger, torquier engine came a more user-friendly gearbox with synchromesh on first gear, and a superior Lockheed brake servo. Apart from ‘4.2’ badging, the car’s external appearance was unchanged but under the skin there were numerous detail improvements, chiefly to the electrical and cooling systems, and to the seating arrangements. The Jaguar E-Type 4.2 Series 1 Roadster (chassis number 1E1245) offered here at Autostorico is finished in Signal Red with Beige leather interior. This original UK example was Supplied to its first owner via Henlys London on 1st July 1965. Passing through several owners before being purchased in 2003 by a Jaguar enthusiast who has maintained it to a very high standard with no expense spared. Recent works have included a mechanical refresh, brake overhaul, full suspension setup, new exhaust system and a new Mohair hood. 1965 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 Autostorico Partners LLP If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1972 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona 1

Single Ownership for 41 Years Highly Original 12,909-Mile Example Unseen in Public for Decades Supplied with Original Leather Tool Kit, Owner’s Manual, and Technical & Service Manual 4.4-Liter DOHC V-12 Engine (352 H.P. / 318 lb-ft Torque) 6 Weber Carburetors 5-Speed Manual Transmission 4-Wheel Disc Brakes 4-Wheel Independent Suspension Full Set of Original Cromodora Cast Alloy Wheels Offered in Blu Ortis Paint Coachwork by Scaglietti – Design by Pininfarina Documented history by Ferrari historian Marcel Massini Chassis no. 15273 Unveiled in Paris in 1968, the Ferrari 365 GTB/4—nicknamed "Daytona" after Ferrari's podium sweep at the legendary race—is the pinnacle of the classic front-engine, V-12 Ferrari. Pininfarina sculpted its aggressively beautiful body, making it an icon of automotive design, and let's face it, a bit of an intimidating beast even standing still. The Daytona wasn't just a pretty face. When it debuted, it was hailed as the world's fastest production sports car, its 352 horsepower, four-cam V-12 capable of a claimed 174 mph. Forget today's supercar numbers, back then, this was warp speed. Journalists weren't just impressed; they were practically giddy, with reports of hitting 176+ mph before the inevitable corrections. It wasn't just speed, though; the Daytona was a complete package, a grand tourer in the truest sense of the word. This particular Daytona, chassis 15273, has its own unique story. Fresh off the assembly line, its first owner was a well-known Ferrari enthusiast Jorge Carnicero in 1972. (According to Marcel Massini's history report) and by 1975 the Daytona was purchased by Thomas Kern of West Virginia. It was not long before the Daytona changed hands one more time. Later in the year, and with only about 1,000 total miles on its odometer, Mr. Kern sold 15273 to active sports car enthusiasts, his family friends Regina "Regie" Doll and her husband, John, of Thurmont, Maryland. The Daytona would remain in their ownership for the next four decades, a testament to how special this Ferrari truly is. And these weren't garage queen collectors. The Dolls owned and actively enjoyed dozens of sports cars over the years, from MGs to Mercedes SLs, even Ferraris galore. Regie wasn't just a passenger; she was competitive in sports car racing as far back as 1957, Mrs. Doll was a charter member of the Mason Dixon Sports Car Club and co-founder of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship for Autocrossing. Highlights of the Doll collection included no fewer than five Ferraris, including a 250 GT, a 275 GTS, and a 275 GTB/4, as well as a 342 America that the couple drove to see the races at Sebring. Mrs. Doll still holds Ferrari Owners Club membership no. 431, identifying her as one of the club's longest-standing members. Decades of loving ownership have left their mark, but in the best possible way. It has an original rejuvenated interior but a new stunning Dark Blue paint job. The windows still hold memories of the past and its spirited history, including a Paddock Pass to the Watkins Glen Grand Prix, likely from the 1979 event, still affixed to the windshield. An internal fire suppression system was installed, and the car proudly wears a cloisonné NART badge on the rear of the trunk lid. It's the kind of detail that makes enthusiasts go weak at the knees. Acquired with just over 12,000 miles on the clock, this Daytona is a time capsule. Its interior, bathed in that classic Ferrari black leather, invites you back to a different era. This isn't just a car to be admired, it's one that begs to be driven, to let that glorious V-12 sing the way it was meant to. With its full manuals and tool kit, it's ready for its next chapter. If you're the kind of collector who craves not just a car, but a slice of history, then this Daytona demands your attention. When the consignor acquired the Daytona in 2016, its odometer showed exactly 12,345 miles. Mrs. Doll had continued to use the car sparingly through the years but less so recently as local traffic volume had made exercising the big V-12 more of a challenge for her. The Ferrari has the correct stance on its Michelins and Cromodora alloys and presents as one would hope a low-mileage, well-kept Daytona would. Complete with a beautiful set of manuals and its tool roll, this seldom-seen Daytona has only been offered for public sale one other time before now. One of the most exciting Ferrari finds in recent memory, this striking Daytona stands ready for its next appreciative caretaker. Delivered to us to do concourse quality preservation restoration. The car was stripped to bare metal, which unveiled the car had never had any rust or damage at any time. This was the best Ferrari we’ve ever seen. The interior was removed, cleaned, and rebuilt using its original materials. The only surfaces replaced on the interior were the mousehair dash covering, the carpets, and the seat bolster surrounds. The rest of the interior is entirely original. The car was refinished in Blue Ortis paint, which is by far one, if not the most, stunning color for a Ferrari Daytona. All of the chrome was replated, as was the majority of the hardware. The engine received a complete reseal, including rebuilding all the carburetors, etc. Every system was serviced, recommissioned and/or restored to original like-new condition. 1972 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Canepa If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1968 Chevrolet Corvette Sunray DX L88

427 cid L-88 V-8 engine, single Holley 850 CFM four-barrel carburetor, 560 HP (Est.) (Factory-Rated 430) at 6,400 RPM, Muncie M-22 close-ratio four-speed manual transmission, four-wheel hydraulic disc brakes, independent front suspension with A-arms and coil springs, independent rear suspension with lateral struts, radius rods, and transverse leaf spring; wheelbase: 98” Rooted in development work led since 1962 by Zora Arkus-Duntov, Chevrolet's head of Corvette engineering, the “Heavy-Duty 427” that eventually gained fame as RPO L-88 was first “field tested” with Roger Penske's Sunoco racing team at the 1966 Daytona 24 Hour Continental. When the smoke cleared, Penske's team broke the GT-class record, won class, and finished 11th overall, confirming the potency of Duntov's brainchild and immediately conferring an outstanding competition pedigree on the L-88. Next, at Sebring, one of Penske's L-88s led class from start to finish and came 9th overall – the best-ever Corvette finish until then. Next, the newly restyled C3 Corvettes were intended – in L-88 tune – to race at Daytona and Sebring in early 1968. However, the FIA-mandated 500-car production numbers of the new car could not be achieved by Chevrolet within the August-November 1967 time frame. It was not until November '67 when James Garner's high-profile American International Racing (A.I.R.) team received the first three C3 L-88 cars from Chevy. While only two of them ran at Daytona, one retiring early and the other finishing 29th, all three of Don Yenko's Sunray-DX team cars swept the GT-class podium, cementing the L-88 legend. Race-numbered 29 and co-driven by Yenko and Peter Revson, this L-88-powered 1968 Corvette finished second in class at Daytona between the class-winning Grant/Morgan Number 31 '67 L-88 and DeLorenzo/Thompson in the Number 30 '68 car. A word about Sunray-DX racing is required. For a brief but brilliant period during the late 1960s, Tulsa, Oklahoma's Sunray-DX petroleum company fielded one of America's best and most successful racing teams and one that brought its products and the L-88 Corvette to international prominence. Starting in 1965, Ralph Morrison Jr., public relations supervisor at Sunray-DX, organized a promotional campaign involving auto racing to market their products. Morrison approached Canonsburg, Pennsylvania Chevy dealer Don Yenko, the successful road-racer who enjoyed a special relationship with GM and chief Corvette engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov, to launch the project. In just 16 months, Sunray-DX cars raced with great success at the pinnacle of 1960s motor racing at Daytona, Sebring, Watkins Glen, Riverside, and in SCCA competition. Known as the “showroom” car to L-88 authors and historians, this particular L-88 Corvette was built up for racing when new by Don Yenko, since the factory L-88 car he ordered would not arrive in time for the 1968 Daytona 24-Hour race, so he plucked a Rally Red L-71 427/435 street hardtop convertible off his showroom floor to transform into a screaming L-88 racer. Following the Yenko/Sunray-DX 1-2-3 triumph at Daytona and this car's second-place class podium there, Yenko teamed up for the Sebring 12 Hours in this car, renumbered 2, with Pedro Rodriguez in the rising star's one and only ride in a Corvette. While the L-88s suffered suspension issues and rear-end failures, including this car, which was forced to retire on Lap 43, Yenko and Rodriguez set a blistering new GT-class lap record with it. This car was also registered as one of two anticipated Sunray-DX entries for the 1968 24 Hours of Le Mans, but political unrest in France and rescheduling of the race from June to September frustrated this effort. Finally, the buyout of Sunray-DX by Sunoco closed the final chapter of this highly successful American racing team. Next, Don Yenko campaigned this Corvette as his personal racer up and down the East Coast and Midwest and it carried him to the SCCA Midwest Division Title in 1968. This car was subsequently sold by Sunoco to Robert Luebbe of New York, an SCCA racer. Detailed correspondence regarding the sale of this car and a supply of spare parts from Sunoco to Luebbe is on file, dated late 1970. The Corvette remained in its 1970s racing configuration until the early 2000s when it was purchased from Frank Joyce, who campaigned the car in the '70s and '80s. The car remained in his livery until it was purchased by its current avid Corvette collectors, and then during 2008, it was restored to its “Number 2” Sebring 1968 glory. Following completion, the car has received the coveted NCRS American Heritage Award representing the Corvette racing legacy, which involves verification that this is the car and chassis number that raced in period. Not surprisingly, the original team members verified the car as well. Other recognition includes induction into the Bloomington Gold® Special Collection. As expected, this famous L-88 Corvette is very well-documented with a thick binder containing full ownership history, the NCRS Shipping Data Report, NCRS Award Verification Letter, and all original paperwork from new, including Sunray-DX correspondence, making this car one of the most historically significant and well-verified of all C3 Corvette racecars in existence and available. Truly a once-in-a-generation opportunity. While the engine was out, it received a complete service as well as 4 new Continental Extreme Sport tires. • 1984-opel-manta-400

A very rare, right-hand drive example of Opel's 'Homologation Special', one of only 12 finished in Astral Silver with the Opel Blitz Logo interior. The story of the Opel Manta 400 is a familiar one to anyone who was a follower of the crazy days of 'Group B' rallying and their sibling road cars built by the major manufacturers in whatever 'homologation' quantity was required. Developed from its Ascona predecessor, the Manta was always popular with the crowds - lots of power, not much weight and a propensity to attack stages sideways. However by the time it was ready to rally, the game had moved on, the Audi Quattro showing the rest of the field that four-wheel drive was going to be a requirement in the WRC. Nevertheless, that didn't stop the Manta from achieving cult hero status on British and European stages, with its raspy sound, lively handling and iconic liveries, the Andrews Heat for Hire with Russell Brookes and Mike Broad being a particular favourite and winning over a lot of fans. The 'homologation' Manta road car was named '400' because that was the number of examples of the old Ascona that were required by the regulations at the time, however, when the Manta was ready to compete, only 200 road cars were required and, having built a total of 245 examples of the Manta 400, production ceased. Even 40 years ago, therefore, it was a very rare car. The notable mechanical upgrade was a Cosworth head for the 2.4-litre engine (originally meant to be 2-litre, but that wasn’t powerful enough), although it was the looks that really made the Manta stand out as a road car. The white-on-white colour scheme with '400' decals of most cars, the bulked-up arches for wider tracks, the incredible Irmscher interior, and the battery of fog lights, all look just as good now as they did in the 1980s. The car we present here is a rare example and is one of only twelve understood to have been finished in Astral Silver with the Opel Blitz Logo interior trim. It's one of only 59 road-going cars fitted with the with the Irmscher wide wheel-arch extensions and the later four-slot grille and three-piece spoiler, its original owner had the foresight to have it converted from new to right-hand drive by the supplying dealers. The car was fully restored in 2005-2006 by its second owner, using only OEM parts where components needed replacing and remains in exceptional condition, a testament to the show standard restoration. A huge history file accompanies the car, including photographic records of its restoration and further details will follow. 1984 Opel Manta 400 Iconic Auctioneers Ltd If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1996 Ferrari F355 Spider Manual

Supplied new via the Evans Halshaw dealership in Birmingham, this Ferrari F355 is an exceptional example and is presented in its original colour scheme of Rosso Corsa with Crema interior. The first owner of chassis number 106698 was a Mr John Greasley. It was delivered on 24 October 1996 with engine number 44013. Over the course of its life, the F355 has been maintained by some of the most respected names in the Ferrari world. Its full service history starts on 8 September 1998, when it returned to Evans Halshaw having covered 5307 miles. It was back there on 14 December 1999, when it had its cambelts replaced – a job that was also carried out in October 2002 at 7886 miles, then again in 2006, 2009, 2013, 2016 and 2019. In 2006, the Ferrari had been sold to its latest owner by world-renowned specialist Bob Houghton. The car had covered 12,626 miles and it has been looked after by Houghton ever since. As well as the usual service items, work has included the refurbishment of the interior trim panels in 2015, plus the renewal of the engine mounts and front suspension hubs in 2019. The F355’s most recent visit to the Houghton workshops came in June 2022, when it was given a full service – including the removal of the engine so that the cambelts and auxiliary drive belt could be changed. The bearing for the alternator belt tensioner pulley was renewed and a compression check was carried out on the V8 engine. Ferrari’s paddle-shift ‘semi-automatic’ transmission was an option from 1997 onwards, but this car features the six-speed manual gearbox that is perfectly suited to the free-revving 3.5-litre V8. Fewer than 500 right-hand-drive F355 Spiders were built, from a production total of more than 11,000 cars, making this a rare example of the breed. Fastidiously maintained regardless of cost and presented in superb condition, this Ferrari F355 Spider is offered for sale complete with its leather wallet containing a full set of owner’s books. MODEL HISTORY The F355 was launched in 1994 and was based on the 348, but the intention was to make it more useable and more rounded than its predecessor without compromising on performance. It was therefore heavily modified, beginning with the 3495cc V8 engine, which featured five valves per cylinder rather than four. The result was 375bhp at 8250rpm – enough to mean that the 0-60mph sprint took less than five seconds, and 0-100mph took less than 11. Its top speed was 183mph, and its specific output of 109bhp per litre bettered even that of the McLaren F1. Beneath the Pininfarina-designed bodywork – finalised after extensive wind-tunnel testing – was a steel monocoque with a tubular rear subframe. Drivers could switch between two damper settings – Comfort and Sport – and a heat exchanger was added in order to warm up the gearbox oil more quickly. The F355 was initially offered with only a six-speed manual transmission, but in 1997 the revolutionary Formula 1-inspired ‘paddle shift’ semi-automatic gearbox was added. The convertible Spider and the targa-roof GTS joined the Berlinetta in 1995. The Berlinetta was the most common of the three, with 4871 being built. The Spider was next (3717) and the GTS was built in the smallest numbers – only 2048 leaving the Ferrari factory. The F355 was developed for competition use in the Ferrari Challenge, with a range of modifications being available. It’s thought that only 108 cars – all with the manual gearbox – were built to Challenge specification. While the previous 348 had suffered in comparison to the Honda NSX and Porsche 911, the F355 put Ferrari back on track and it won universal plaudits for its looks, handling and the ear-splitting noise from that sublime engine. Almost 30 years since it was introduced, it is now recognised as the point at which Ferrari refined its mid-engined V8 concept away from the compromised models of the classic era and towards a new generation of cars that continued with the 360, 430 and beyond. 1996 Ferrari F355 Spider Manual The Classic Motor Hub If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. Subtle, sophisticated, and with a Ferrari V-12 at its heart, it is easy to see why the 275 GTS is so beloved by those in the know. Offering understated looks with excellent performance, a copious boot, and comfortable seating for two, the 275 GTS is a stress-free entry into Enzo-era Ferrari ownership and is a car that can easily be used on a regular basis. This example, the 10th 275 GTS built, stands out from its siblings due to its unique colour combination of Nero (18.292) paintwork over a Bleu (VM 3015) interior. Destined for its native Italy, chassis number 06819 was sold new to Mrs. Dino Fabbri, the wife of a Milanese publisher and Ferrari collector, in April of 1965 and registered as as MI A 08569 according to Ferrari historian Marcel Massini, prior to being reregistered in Vercelli later that year. After being traded back to the selling dealer, M.G. Crepaldi S.a.s. in Milan, the 275 GTS was purchased by its second owner, Cesare De Lucchi of Varese. De Lucchi would go own to own the 275 GTS for the rest of his live, and it was brought to Ferrari’s 50th anniversary celebrations in Rome and Maranello in May of 1997. Approximately five years later, the car’s interior was retrimmed by Fratelli Luppi of Modena in blue leather. It was granted Ferrari Classiche certification in 2004; this confirmed that the car retains its original chassis and engine, in addition to being fitted with a replacement gearbox of the correct type, not uncommon for a 275-series Ferrari. After Cesare De Lucchi’s passing, the car was enheirited by his son Vittorio. In 2007, the 275 GTS was bought by Marcus Wood and exported to the U.K., receiving a mechanical refurbishment by GTO Engineering upon its arrival in the U.K. Purchased by an owner in France one year later, the car returned to continental Europe and was showing only 36,500 kilometers from new at that time. Over the course of the ensuing nine years, the car was driven and enjoyed as intended and was showing approximately 54,500 kilometers on its odometer in 2017 when it was acquired by the current custodian, also from France, via RM Sotheby’s. Perfectly suited for touring and warm-weather drives and presented in fabulous, original colours, this 275 GTS surely won’t disappoint. 1965 Ferrari 275 GTS by Pininfarina RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer.
