This 512 BBi, chassis number 41825, was delivered to Garage Francorchamps SA in Belgium on the 6th May 1982. In 1983 the car was exported to the USA where it remained until 2010. Then the Ferrari was taken back to Europe and acquired by an English enthusiast in 2011. After a change of ownership in February 2014, the 512 was maintained in subsequent years by the specialists from Bob Houghton Ltd. in Gloucestershire. In September 2015 an extensive overhaul including a revision of the radiator, checking and optimising of the chassis and the installation of four original rims including new tyres took place. In February 2016, then showing 27’906 kilometres, a major service was performed including new cambelts and tensioners. At the same time the steering box, the air conditioning compressor, the alternator and the clutch were replaced. During a further ownership change and to receive the coveted Ferrari Classiche certificate, in February 2018 a new, original exhaust system was installed. The successful certification which confirms the matching numbers of chassis, coachwork, engine and gearbox was completed in April of the same year. Between 2014 and 2018 more than 70’000 pounds were invested as can be seen in the receipts provided. With now 28’400 kilometres driven, the Ferrari is in good to very good condition. It will be sold with a UK registration and Swiss customs have so far not been paid!
