The Honda NSX is regarded as a milestone in Japanese sports car engineering. Introduced in 1990, it was the first to successfully combine true supercar performance with legendary reliability and everyday usability. Its all-aluminum monocoque chassis, high-revving V6 VTEC mid-engine, and precisely tuned suspension – developed with input from Ayrton Senna – made the NSX a serious competitor to European exotics, even earning it the nickname “the Japanese Ferrari” (Ferrari F40). With a total production of only around 18,000 units worldwide, the first generation is now considered one of the most sought-after Japanese sports cars, enjoying steadily growing international collector demand. Due to its comparatively limited production numbers and increasing recognition among enthusiasts, this early model is widely regarded as a highly attractive long-term investment with strong appreciation potential. With a mileage of just 37,426 km, this particular NSX presents itself in exceptionally original, untouched collector’s condition. Originally produced for the North American market—where the model was sold under the Acura brand—it was delivered to Italy before coming to its current owner in Germany around 2010. The accompanying documentation, including the original manuals and service records, provides a fully traceable service and ownership history, underscoring the authenticity and exceptional quality of this remarkable sports car. 1990 Honda NSX Thiesen Hamburg GmbH If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. Lotus founder Colin Chapman assembled a team of volunteers to help him create a revolutionary model for 1956. While the production Lotus Marks 8, 9 and 10 were based on the Lotus Mark 6, the Eleven was designed from scratch. Its closest ancestor was the Mk 9 Le Mans factory racing car, registered XPE 6, a test bed for what was to follow. The Eleven used a steel tube chassis with aluminium panels. The elegant chassis weighed less than 30 kg. It was powered by the new Coventry-Climax four-cylinder aluminium engine, an overhead cam design with an impressive power-to-weight ratio. Girling disc brakes were used, and parts adapted from all kinds of English cars of the time made up the rest of the machine. The vehicle was covered with a stunning aerodynamic body designed by Frank Costin: handcrafted in aluminium and hinged at both ends for easy access. Lotus cars were considered ‘scientifically designed’ racing cars, with each component studied to achieve maximum efficiency for minimum weight. Chapman's philosophy was that each part should fulfil at least two functions, without weighing more than was absolutely necessary to do the job. Contemporary racing drivers considered the Lotus to be THE car to win races, even at the risk of not finishing at all. From January 1956, when the first Elevens were hastily assembled for their presentation to the press in AutoSport or to be shipped to the United States for their racing debut, the cars were built as quickly as the small Lotus workshop could manage. The chassis were manufactured by Progress Chassis Co. and the bodywork and panels by Williams & Pritchard, both of which were practically neighbours. The cars were either assembled in-house or sold as kits. The Elevens could be ordered in the full Le Mans version, which used a de Dion rear suspension, or in the less expensive Club version, which used an Austin rear axle and drum brakes. Finally, a Sports version was available, which was essentially a Club with a Ford 10 engine. Initially, all Elevens used a swing axle front suspension modified from parts of the British Ford 93E model. In the spring of 1957, after about 150 cars had been produced, a new version of the Eleven was introduced as the Series 2. The main difference, which was generally only found on the Le Mans version, was the Lotus 12-type double A-arm front suspension, which gave the car a smoother and more consistent ride. The S-2 had chassis improvements, a stronger powertrain and could accommodate larger engines. By the summer of 1958, a total of around 270 Elemens had been built when production turned to newer models, including Formula 1 cars. The Eleven was the first Lotus to be built in such large numbers, and it firmly established the company as a serious manufacturer of competition cars. It held such a place in Chapman's heart that future Lotus cars were given names reminiscent of it, such as Elite and Elan. Colin Chapman was in the habit of developing a prototype during the racing season for production the following year. The 1956 Mark XI followed this policy and had a new chassis that differed significantly from the previous year's production cars. It was available as an easy-to-assemble kit. Although the chassis frame was multi-tubular, the details were different, with the main lower tubes being one inch square instead of round. The others were 1.5 cm round tubes with a thickness varying between 18 and 20. There are fewer tubes, which reduces weight, but rigidity has been maintained thanks to a 20-gauge light alloy sheet metal floor tunnel. The swing axle system has been retained at the front, but the pivot points have been lowered, which should further improve the Lotus' exceptional cornering capabilities. The pivot bearings are located in a rigid steel section. This arrangement facilitates the assembly of the entire front suspension system, and the Ford axle beams have been ‘adjusted’ to allow the roll centre to be lowered. A new Girling-type suspension unit with integrated shock absorbers has been used. Morris Minor rack and pinion steering with a three-piece column was chosen, and the wire wheels are 15-inch Dunlops with centre nuts. Although a De Dion rear axle system has been retained, it is entirely new. The universal joints are located at the ends of the tube, which has a diameter of 3 inches, a quarter of an inch larger than the previous car. The De Dion tube is composed of three tubular arms, two of which are parallel at the front and rear, but the third forms a semicircle at the rear of the chassis. The available gear ratios are 4.89, 4.55, 4.22, 3.89 and 3.66 to 1. The inboard brakes at the rear and external brakes at the front are all Girling type with 9-inch diameter discs and the latest caliper mechanism. From an exterior perspective, the bodywork is once again very aerodynamic, but much lower than the S1. The aerodynamic purpose of the spoilers on the previous Lotus has been replaced by a central spoiler behind the driver's head, which is removable for mechanical work. The body is four inches wider and more rounded at the sides, making the cockpit spacious and easily accessible with light alloy doors on each side. Although it was usually powered only by a 1,100 cc Climax engine, the Eleven, in expert hands, could beat most other racing cars. The combined effect of good power, low weight, unrivalled aerodynamics, powerful brakes and exemplary handling was such that the Eleven had no rival in the 1,100 cc class and was almost as dominant in the 1,500 cc class. It was competitive in the up to 2-litre class, and on the right track, it could beat any sports car, regardless of engine size. After an aborted competitive debut at Sebring in March, the Elevens competed in races in England. Colin Chapman and others drove the cars to a string of victories and track records. For years, there was talk of an epic duel at Goodwood between the Elevens driven by Chapman and Mike Hawthorn. Around the world, the cars began to fill the grids of the 1,100cc sports car class (or G class), the predecessor of Formula Junior and an entry level for international competition. At the 24 Hours of Le Mans, a team of three cars was entered: the car driven by Reg Bicknell and Peter Jopp finished seventh overall and first in its class. That autumn, a specially faired Eleven, driven by Stirling Moss and ‘Mac’ Fraser, raced at Monza and set a series of world speed records on a closed circuit. The 1,100cc car covered 100 km at 135 mph, with a fast lap of 143 mph. During the 1956 season, the Elevens won at least 148 races. In 1957, with more than a hundred Elevens in action around the world, the domination continued. The highlights began with a class victory at Sebring by Chapman and Joe Sheppard. The highlight of 1958 was the Elevens' overwhelming victory in their class at Sebring. There, the Weiss/Tallaksen car finished an incredible fourth overall with only 1,100 cc. Gradually, however, the rapid evolution of racing caught up with the Eleven, and while it was still competitive, Lotus prepared a successor. In 1959, the Lotus 17 appeared, lower and lighter, but even it could not match the Eleven's handling and overall speed. The true replacement finally appeared in 1962 with the brilliant Lotus 23 as part of the rear-engine revolution that ended the era the Eleven had dominated. Around the world, dozens of Lotus Elevens found new life in amateur club racing and as ‘school’ cars. In the 1960s, many drivers got their first taste of racing behind the wheel of one of these old thoroughbreds. With 270 units built between 1956 and 1958, the Lotus Eleven was a synthesis of all Colin Chapman's experience and expertise at the time of its release. Designed for endurance and sprint racing for small cars, this new Lotus, which introduced the E names, quickly attracted a clientele of demanding sportsmen and gentleman drivers. Chassis 515 – 24 Hours of Le Mans 1958 In May 1958, Lotus Engineering completed the construction of chassis 515. The Lotus XI was then at the peak of its technical maturity. Chassis 515 was delivered new to Bill Frost, owner of the Car Exchange dealership in Brighton. The car was registered as 2411 HP. Its configuration was clear: Le Mans Series 2 specification, with a high windscreen and ‘High Tail’ rear, magnesium wheels and a Coventry Climax FWA No. 7701 engine combined with a close-ratio MGA gearbox. Everything indicated that its destination was already known. A few weeks later, the Lotus was entered in the 1958 24 Hours of Le Mans under number 39 by Car Exchange. The crew consisted of Bill Frost and Bob Hicks in the highly competitive 1100 cc class. The 1958 edition was marked by particularly challenging weather conditions. In heavy rain, the little Lotus demonstrated the intelligence of its design. Light, precise and balanced, it led its category in the early hours of the race. But the Sarthe remains unpredictable. On the Mulsanne Straight, the car lost control in precarious grip conditions. Immobilised, it was then hit by an Alfa Romeo. After three hours of racing, retirement was inevitable. The Historic Lotus Register archives formally confirm its identity: chassis 515, entered by Car Exchange, number 39, retired after three hours. Like many endurance cars of that era, the 515 did not disappear after this episode. It probably returned to Brighton where it was rebuilt. There are indications that it may have raced at Goodwood shortly before Le Mans during the 1958 Whitsun Meeting, a hypothesis consistent with Bill Frost's activity in Sussex, although this remains to be definitively documented. Over the years, the car left the United Kingdom and crossed the Atlantic. In the 1980s, it belonged to Harold Phillip Javetz in Savannah, Georgia. An amateur driver and passionate collector, Javetz kept the Lotus in its original configuration. In 1985, the car appeared in the American specialist press, notably in Thoroughbred & Classic Cars, where Innes Ireland was photographed alongside the XI – a highlight that helped to revive its Le Mans past. In 1988, the Lotus was sold to Ed Henning, also in the United States. In 1991, chassis 515 returned to the United Kingdom in the hands of Bill Harding. This marked a turning point: the Historic Lotus Register officially confirmed its chassis number, its original registration and its participation in the 1958 24 Hours of Le Mans under number 39. In the same year, the car was acquired by Carol Spagg. Inspected and documented by Graham Capel, it returned to British and European historic circuits during the 1990s. Correspondence from 1998 attests to its FIA compliance in 1098 cc configuration. In 2006, the XI 515 joined the collection of a French amateur driver. It took part in the 2008, 2014 and 2016 editions of Le Mans Classic, returning to the track where it had raced half a century earlier. In March 2022, the car was acquired by its current owner. Today, the 515 chassis retains the fundamental elements that define its identity: its Le Mans ‘High Tail’ configuration, its 1098 cc engine, its historical consistency and continuous traceability spanning more than six decades. The 515 chassis is not just a Lotus XI. It is a car that was ordered new for Le Mans, entered in one of the most difficult editions of the time, rebuilt, preserved, passed on from enthusiasts to collectors, and then returned to race on the circuit that shaped its legend. It was recently entered by its current owner at Le Mans Classic, Goodwood and the Gentlemen Challenge at Peter Auto. Perfectly maintained with a newly rebuilt and bench-tested engine, compliant with its Weber DCO3 carburettors, it perfectly embodies the Lotus spirit of the late 1950s: technical intelligence, mechanical elegance and courage on the track. ________________________________________ Summary of owners 1958 – Bill Frost / Car Exchange (Brighton) 1960s – Probable competition activity 1984 – Harold Javetz (USA) 1988 – Ed Henning (USA) 1991 – Bill Harding (UK) 1991 – Carol Spagg (UK) 2006 – Eric Leroy (France) 2022 – Current Owner It is eligible for the biggest motor racing events: Goodwood, Le Mans Classic, the Tour Auto, the Gentleman Challenge by Peter Auto, Motor Racing Legends and the GTSCC with Flavien and Vanessa Marçais... to name but a few! 1958 Lotus XI ex 24H Le Mans Historic Cars If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1957-mercedes-benz-300-sl
Created to spearhead Mercedes-Benz's return to competition in the post-war era, the 300SL debuted in the 1952 Mille Miglia, finishing 2nd and 4th overall. Wins in the Carrera Pan-Americana and at Le Mans followed, and the 300SL was on its way to becoming part of motor sporting legend. The first racers were open-topped but before the '52 season's end the distinctive gull-wing doored Coupé had appeared. Unusually high sills were a feature of the multi-tubular spaceframe chassis, and while access was not a problem of the open car, the adoption of coupé bodywork required innovative thinking - hence the gull-wing doors. Launched in 1954, the production 300SL retained the spaceframe chassis of the racer and was powered by a 2,996cc, overhead-camshaft, inline six canted at 45 degrees to achieve a lower, more aerodynamic bonnet line. Using innovative direct fuel injection, this state-of-the-art power unit produced 215bhp at 5,800rpm. A four-speed gearbox transmitted power to the hypoid bevel rear axle. Suspension was independent all round by wishbones and coil springs at the front, with swing axles and coil springs at the rear. Tested by the highly respected American magazine Road & Track in 1955, the 300SL accelerated from 0-60mph in 7.4 seconds, going on to achieve a top speed of 140mph: outstanding figures for its day. It was, arguably, the world's first supercar. Clearly the 300SL Coupé would be a hard act to follow yet the Roadster version, introduced just three years later, succeeded in bettering its closed cousin's already exemplary road manners. Built with conventional doors, the 300SL Roadster was first exhibited at the Geneva Salon in May 1957 and was an immediate hit with the 1950s 'jet set' including royalty, actors and socialites. The production of an open 300SL involved altering the cockpit area, where the spaceframe was redesigned to permit lower sills for improved access. At the same time the rear suspension was changed to incorporate low-pivot swing axles. The 300SL Roadster sold well for a car that cost more than a Ferrari 250GT California Spyder, and would out-live the 300SL Coupé by several years. Completed by the factory in May 1957, this 300 SL Roadster was completed in ‘Elfenbein DB608’ (Ivory) over a red leather interior. Options on the build sheet include dials ‘re-written’ in English as this example was dispatched to the Mercedes-Benz in London. Supplied new to it first keeper in 1958, this 300 SL Roadster was the 16th car completed and first owned by Samuel McCrudden Jnr, proprietor of a linen and handkerchief business in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Ownership is documented by a scan of the Buff logbook in the car's accompanying history folio. His ownership was brief and the car moved back to England a year later finding residence in Berkshire with Aspro family member Maurice Nicholas, early developers of Aspirin in the 1900s. Initially their tablet had been called Nicholas' Aspirin; but later the product name was changed to Aspro formed from the last two letters of the name 'Nicholas', and the first three of the word 'Product'. The 300 SL was then sold by dealership H.R. Owen to aristocrat, wartime secret-agent, racing driver and naturalist Gavin Maxwell of Ross-shire, Scotland. A keen conservationist, Maxwell split his time between London and Scotland, driving between the two in a series of pre-war Bentleys, including a Corsica-bodied example. Maxwell would go on to own a second 300 SL roadster, the first car notably proved its engineering pedigree with a race from Sandaig to Glasgow for an otter-related emergency. A keen and enthusiastic driver, Maxwell’s biography regales adventures in 300 SLs, one of which Maxwell drove “at fantastic speed on the Moroccan roads — up to 140 mph at times, averaging nearly 98 mph from Marrakesh to Mogador...!” In 1970, the 300 SL found home with the previous and long-term form keeper. Owning the car for 33 years, well-known classic racer Mr Forsdyke took the car off the road and placed it in storage. With the intention of carrying out a total restoration, the car instead sat for an extended period in storage in a partly dismantled state. Purchased by its current custodian in 2003, a decision was made to bare-metal restore the 300 SL Roadster. Opting for the period correct shade of Anthracite Grey (DB172), the comprehensive restoration was carried out on-and-off for 15 years with Kevin O' Keeffe Restorations at a cost of £320,000. Upon completion, the roadster was wholly covered in bespoke paint protection film. Since restoration the car has covered just 2,900 miles and presents superbly. This wonderful 300 SL roadster is available to view at our showrooms outside London immediately, accompanied by an original hardtop, period tool kit with jack of the correct type, restoration file and history folio. Furthermore, an inspection report by 300 SL specialist Martin Cushway is available. 1957 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL D.K. Beautifully presented in Essex Blue with Gold Decals over Champagne Leather, this Esprit S3 Turbo displays just 39,438 miles. 1981 saw the debut of Esprit Series 3 and, at that point, the Turbo became a regular production car powered by a wet-sump 2.2-litre 'Type 912' engine with a Garrett T3 turbocharger offering 210bhp, 0-60 in 5.4 seconds and 150mph The interior trim was revised which, when combined with changes to the body moulds, resulted in more headroom and an enlarged footwell The Turbo Esprit retained the aerodynamic body kit of the Essex cars and featured prominent 'Turbo Esprit' decals on the nose and sides, plus bespoke 15'' BBS alloy wheels Although it looked every inch the futuristic Italian-styled supercar both inside and out, the Esprit remained true to Lotus' philosophy of building lightweight cars with small-capacity engines and motorsport-inspired handling and the Turbo versions of the S3 are particularly sought after today 1985 Lotus Esprit S3 Turbo Iconic Auctioneers Ltd If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. General History Alfa Romeo, Italian masters of automobile manufacturing, were not always prolific producers of production sports cars. Prior to the Giulia and Giulietta, Alfas were grand, handmade vehicles involving detailed labor and complex fabrication. All this changed when these two brilliantly engineered cars entered the market. With relatively low entry costs, attractive styling, and delightful driving manners, Alfa Romeo secured a promising position in the growing postwar world car market. The Giulia and Giulietta were small, sporty, and charming, yet finely trimmed, giving an air of sophistication young men and women appreciated during prosperous post war years. Both models enjoyed success, with strong sales in Europe and North America, due in part to growing interest in small sporty cars. Among the most desired of these cars were the Veloce equipped Spiders. Initially the 1300cc twin cam in-line four-cylinder engine featured twin Weber carburetors, higher compression ratio, and spirited cam profiles, resulting in improved overall performance. By 1962 the engine was upgraded to 1600, improving both performance and reliability in the new smoother running engine. The Pininfarina bodied Spider would remain in production until 1966, a testimony to the advanced design and sporty styling. These features continue to be highly regarded by collectors and enthusiasts, particularly so for factory original 1965 Spider Veloce models as approximately 1,000 were built in this series with the final improvements reflected in 1965, the last year of this series. General Overview According to correspondence from Macro Fazio, Centro Documentzione Alfa, this 1600 Veloce was built March 30th, 1965, and sold April 1st to Alfa Romeo, Inc., Newark, USA. The factory colors are noted as red with black interior. Though not much is known about the early years of ownership, the prior owner commissioned a comprehensive three-year restoration which was completed in 2016. During the restoration, the process was documented with photos showing the car fully disassembled, stripped to bare metal, rotisserie mounted, red oxide primer and black finish applied to the chassis surfaces, the engine fully disassembled and rebuilt, and all other components from the suspension, brakes, gearbox, and fully reupholstered interior, refinished to a high standard. The current owner purchased this Alfa in 2016 shortly after the restoration was completed. During his decade of ownership, the car has been regularly maintained and serviced as needed. Copies of receipts included with the car document services performed under current ownership dating back to 2016 (88k miles indicated in 2016) while the car was located in Southern California. Services from 2016 include installing a new windshield, new seat belt, driver’s side mirror, gearbox synchro work, 5 new Vredestein 155 SR15 tires and four wheel alignment, along with brake and carburetor work. In 2017 services continued including a tune up and fluid changes, engine cleaning, detailing, and bolt torquing, Pertronix ignition installed, and road testing for various diagnostics. In 2018, an annual fluid service was performed, window regulators repaired, new fuel lines installed, transmission work performed including a new input shaft seal, a new hood insulation blanket installed, oil pan gasket replaced, electrical serviced including new headlight switch and blower switch, and a new fuel pump was installed. In 2019, the car was given an annual fluid change, and the rear brake axle and assembly were removed and serviced including new differential gear oil and reseal. In 2021, a major service was performed including valve adjustment, front brake resurfacing for rotors, and carb cleaning. In 2024, the carburetors were serviced, including new floats, jet cleaning etc. new fuel filter, and a new Bosch ignitor was installed. In 2025, the rear brakes were adjusted, new rear brake wheel cylinders installed, and gauges tested and serviced. General Condition Today this Veloce Spider presents in excellent condition throughout including glossy red paint that has been very well maintained with excellent coverage and a smooth, glossy finish. The exterior trim is in excellent condition overall including a very nice Alfa Romeo branded central grille flanked by front bumpers with correct fitting side openings and trim. Unlike many Spiders of this era the chrome bumpers are properly positioned, parallel to the grille openings with excellent fit and finish. A pair of correct Carello stamped chrome headlight trim rings and correct spiral domed turn indicators are just a few fine details that show the care and detail afforded during restoration. The hood features a raised profile hood scoop which was updated in the last two years of production to allow more room for the improved engine. Continuing the cosmetic appearance of the car, the lighting, bumpers, and various trim and script are also in excellent condition. The body panel gaps are consistent showing very good closures and tight fit, including both doors which show excellent part lines and tight closure. The windshield and side glass are in excellent condition with smooth operation to the side glass when raised and lowered. Outfitted with correct silver painted steel wheels with polished wheel covers, the wheels are shod with a set of Vredestein Sprint Classic 155 SR15 tires installed in 2016. The interior is just as impressive as the exterior featuring beautifully trimmed black bucket seats with authentic appearance to the materials, foam padding, correct seat pleating, and a pair of matching seat belts. The door panels and side panels are like new with excellent quality to the finishes while the carpeting and Alfa Romeo embossed black rubber mats are also essentially like new. The dashboard is gorgeous and beautifully detailed, featuring crystal clear instruments with excellent color and contrast to the dial faces and glass covers. The black dash padding is also like new and a correct Blaupunkt AM/FM push button radio is installed. The black canvas convertible top appears new, here too with excellent fit and finish, new rubber, and a soft clear plastic window. The trunk is reflective of the same level of restoration excellence exhibited throughout the car, clean and well-maintained, retaining a matching silver finished steel wheel, matching red inner surface, a factory jack with correct strapped buckle hold downs, and a correct Alfa Romeo embossed rubber floor mat. The battery, dated March 2024, is installed in the trunk. Under the hood, the engine bay offers correct presentation reflective of original specifications including a correct diamond-tufted silver hood insulation pad and an Alfa Romeo specifications plate. Nicely detailed and worthy of Alfa Romeo club concours presentation, the 1,600cc twin cam engine is correctly restored including twin dual throat side draft 48 Weber carburetors, a correct cast alloy airbox, and a correctly finished alloy twin cam cover. Additional details include a blue washer fluid bag, correct hoses and clamps, proper ignition wires, and correct firewall stampings, engine decals, and proper finishes to the various engine components. The undercarriage completes the high quality restoration, offering excellent finishes including correct alloy engine and gearbox castings, a Facet electric fuel pump, correct axle limit straps on the rear axle, correctly finished suspension and brake components, and recently replaced IMA Italian made exhaust from the header to the chrome exhaust finisher tip. The car starts, stops, runs, and drives very capably as evidenced in the driving video shown in the gallery. Brakes and suspension are very well balanced, and the car has a great gearbox with excellent synchros having benefited from more recent service. Driving manners are among the best we’ve seen in a Spider Veloce particularly so with the extra power offered with the 1,600cc engine in the final two years of production. This example is very well prepared, has great steering and brakes, and delivers wonderful sounds from the twin cam engine. Items Included with the Car The car is accompanied by copies of service documents under current ownership, photos chronicling the restoration including detailed photos of the engine rebuild, a Technical Characteristics Giulia booklet and a Giulia 1600 user manual. 1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia Spider Veloce Fantasy Junction If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The notice and take down procedure is described here: https://www.speedholics.com/copyright HISTORY The Aston Martin DB5 Convertible was produced over two years between 1963-65 and only 123 examples were constructed making it one of the most desirable open Aston Martin models This DB5C was delivered on 28th May 1964 to first owner Major James France of Dewsbury, Yorks, finished in Caribbean Pearl coachwork with White Gold hides and dark Blue hood The copy of the original build sheet supplied with the car denotes a host of original bespoke options; Hood cover in White gold VM 3323, full tonneau cover in dark blue everflex, chrome roadwheels, three ear hubcaps, 3.77P Lok rear axle, Motorola radio, detachable hardtop in Ford Express Blue, steering wheel spokes NOT to be painted and spark plug holders The period black and white images within the gallery were taken at Newport Pagnell c1968 and show some rather interesting non-standard additions to the car fitted in period by the first owner that included multiple spotlights, boot rack, tow bar, altimeter and various decorative accoutrements, clearly Major France wanted his DB5C to stand out from the crowd! In 1994/5 the DB5C was fully rebuilt by marque exponents R.S.Williams and subsequently sold by them in November 1995 to Mr Weimann of Hamburg, Germany where it remained until 2003 before it was repatriated to the UK and later sold via RSW in 2004 to Lord Harris Maintained by RSW for the past 25 years, we acquired the DB5C from them on behalf of one of our clients in 2020, shortly after it had repainted in the desirable hue of Sierra Blue This well presented DB5C drives as well as it looks and is ready for its next custodian to enjoy. Recently serviced by RSW and fitted with new wheels and tires, supplied with a well-documented history file, simply put this is the ultimate open Aston from the 1960s! - 1992-porsche-964-carrera-2
Sport seats (partially electric), full leather interior, 18" Speedline-look wheels, sport suspension, BP radio, heated seats, automatic climate control, various other extras Nearly 700 vehicles were built by Porsche that are allowed to bear the coveted code 650 – Turbo look. Straight from the factory. We present to you an accident-free example of this rare variant of the 964 type, which - by Porsche standards - had an extremely short production period of only 4 years before it was replaced by the new 993 model. For your information – the now priceless 964 RS was built over 2000 times. The 964 Speedster approximately 930 times. The 30th Anniversary 911, logically, 911 times, without being a true "WTL" (Worldwide Limited Edition). The legendary 964 Turbo 3.6 was produced almost 1500 times, and finally the two truly rare 964 Turbo "S" and 964 3.8 RSR with around 80 and 50 examples respectively. Besides its uniquely beautiful bodywork, the “Turbo Look” package offered primarily internal features, which bestowed upon the factory-built WTL Porsche, above all, what was then considered the best braking system in the automotive world. Furthermore, the “WTL” also received the Turbo's chassis… What are we getting at, you might ask? Having one of the 702 WTL convertibles of the type Porsche 964 Carrera 2 in the garage is certainly no mistake for any type of user. The collector, as well as the driver of this beauty, benefits in every respect from what a 964 promises. Over the past few years, it has become one of the most sought-after Porsches from the air-cooled era. Companies like Singer, Kaege, Ruf, and others ensure a very tight market by actively buying up 964s worldwide to secure their backdates for the foreseeable future. Even if not all of the vehicles acquired are suitable for rebuilding by these companies, they are perfectly suited for a more or less complete restoration back to mint, original condition, thus guaranteeing the specialists steady work for years to come. This ongoing scarcity, created by purchased and stored vehicles, will keep the global market for 964s high in the long run. Furthermore, the newly rebuilt examples will only be released gradually and will almost certainly contribute significantly to consistently high prices. The decision to completely overhaul and rebuild a Porsche 964 in 2026 has entirely different economic consequences than, for example, 15 years ago. Starting with the minimum purchase price of a worthwhile base car, which today costs four to five times what it did not so long ago. This multiplier can easily be applied to all the necessary spare parts as well… without going into too much detail, one fact remains undisputed: A truly good 964 today requires sums well into six figures. The logical consequence of this is that good 964s will remain rare and expensive for the foreseeable future, provided they meet certain requirements. These attributes have always been important, but today they are more crucial than ever! What is true for real estate – location, location, location – has the same effect on Porsches – accident-free status, origin, history, condition, mileage, model, color combination, number built… these are all topics that absolutely must be considered in today's market. The bitter lesson learned from the experiences of recent years - not every 964 is worth every penny it costs…. Regarding our offered WTL-Carrera 2 Cabriolet The vehicle is shown in the photo gallery both with 17J Cup1 wheel set and standard suspension, and with 18J wheel set and H&R sport suspension. The future buyer can choose which wheel set and suspension the WTL convertible will be delivered with. We will convert the vehicle free of charge and deliver it with a current pre-delivery inspection, current vehicle inspection and emissions test, and historic vehicle registration (upon request). The last comprehensive inspection took place in July 2023 at a mileage of 97900 km (700 km ago). The original, available checkbook documents 21 (not a typo: twenty-one) maintenance and customer service visits since delivery. The vehicle has no outstanding maintenance upon delivery and is ready for immediate use. We will hand over the Porsche to its next owner with a current inspection, new MOT and emissions test, and we would like to congratulate the new owner at this point. 1992 Porsche 964 Carrera 2 DLS Automobile If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1974-lamborghini-urraco-250s
A 'small' Lamborghini intended to compete with rivals such as Ferrari's Dino 308 and Porsche's 911 in an important market sector, the Paolo Stanzani designed Urraco was announced in 1970, with deliveries commencing in 1972. Its Miura predecessor had been named after a breed of fighting bull so the name Urraco (young bull) was an understandable appellation for its junior sibling. The Miura's basic mechanical layout was adopted for the Urraco but in place of the former's transversely mounted 4.0-litre V12 there was a 2.5-litre V8, Lamborghini's first such engine. The latter was unusual at the time in employing toothed rubber belts to drive its single overhead camshafts, but despite its simpler specification produced a highly respectable 220bhp at 7,500rpm. Styled by Marcello Gandini at Carrozzeria Bertone, the unitary construction Urraco employed McPherson strut suspension all round and despite a wheelbase 9cm shorter than the Miura's was roomy enough to accommodate a 2+2 cockpit. Brisk acceleration and a top speed of 143mph (230km/h) were complemented by remarkable roadholding and a comfortable ride. The more expensive P250S version featured a full leather interior, power windows, air conditioning, and larger Weber 40DCNF carburettors. According to factory records, this car was completed on 02/05/1974, finished in Giallo (2469019) with a Nero (black) interior, in right-hand drive, fitted with factory air conditioning and delivered new to the UK. The early history of this car is not known although it is understood to have arrived in Australia early in its life. A long-term owner in Sydney, John Calamos, felt that the Urraco looked less exciting than his wife's Lotus Esprit and keen to enhance the car’s appearance, he commissioned Lamborghini specialist, Henry Nehrybecki, to give the car a more aggressive look, similar to a Lamborghini Silhouette. The template for the wheel arches was taken from a Silhouette and made from sheet metal with the work completed by Graham Watson from Ralt Australia. Nehrybecki fabricated the front spoiler, custom alloy grille, front and rear bumpers, the three-piece wheels and modified the front suspension. It was repainted in Midnight Blue metallic by Con Papoulis from Hi Tech Paintshop and after 9 months in 1997 the car’s refresh was complete. The car, and the thinking behind it, were featured in an article in Lamborghini Australia's house magazine, The Bull's Roar in June 1988 and a copy is in the car's history file. The history file itself is very impressive in terms of presentation and content and appears fairly comprehensive from about 1997. Since then, the car appears to have had three long-term owners up until it was sold to its current owner on 10/06/2025 and there are lots of well detailed invoices for all three displayed in the file. Acquired by its previous owner in July 2017 @ 81,982 miles, there are invoices from Sports and Classic Car Services of Braeside, Victoria over the next few years totalling $37,253 Aus including a new clutch, gearbox rebuild, suspension rebuild, head gaskets and other sundry works. The Urraco was purchased on 10/06/2025 by its new UK-based owner (Bill of Sale in the file) and the sale was handled by the well regarded team at Hamilton-based, OLDTIMER AUSTRALIA. Prior to being despatched, OLDTIMER commissioned Red Ant Kustoms to ensure the car was totally ready for its trip to the UK and the associated account ($10,998) is also in the file. The work included; engine and gearbox out, cylinder heads machined, cam belt, front strut mounts, oil leaks and misfire addressed, air-con re-gassed etc. The mileage noted on the invoice was 84,013 and the indicated mileage when we photographed the car was 84,017. The aforementioned history file contains the NOVA confirming VAT and Duty have been paid (prior to UK registration), invoices, insurance details, taxation details, an excellent history of the car by OLDTIMER, owners manual, wiring diagrams, the often missing Lamborghini libretto di assistenza e garanzia (service and warranty booklet and more. The Lamborghini Urraco P250S is a delightful 'junior' supercar and a great alternative to the ubiquitous 308 GT/4, Merak and 911.This example has been cleverly re-imagined by an early owner and consequently is unique. It has received a substantial amount of mechanical attention in the last 2,000 miles which should inspire confidence. It's a good-looking car and we welcome your viewing at our Race Retro Sale. 1974 Lamborghini Urraco 250S Iconic Auctioneers Ltd If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer.
