The Shelby Cobra remains an instantly recognisable performance icon, and 30 years after his creation had first taken the motoring world by storm, Carroll Shelby decided to build a fresh batch of cars. Produced from the 1990s into the 2000s at a new factory in Las Vegas, these 4000-series Cobras were genuine cars with a ‘CSX’ chassis-number prefix and official documentation from Shelby American, and were accepted into the Shelby Registry. They were initially offered with the 427 cubic-inch engine and glassfibre bodywork, although owners had the option of specifying aluminium at an extra cost. These Cobras were supplied as kits that could be finished by the supplying dealer, and such was the success of the 427 that Shelby American went on to also build a 289-engined version. A 2018 letter of authenticity from the company confirms that the Cobra being offered for sale here – chassis number CSX4502 – was completed as a component vehicle on 9 September 2004. It was then fitted with a 427 cubic-inch, side-oiler Ford V8 engine that produces more than 400bhp and is mated to a four-speed ‘toploader’ gearbox. The chassis, meanwhile, features independent suspension all round, rack-and-pinion steering, Baer brakes and 15-inch Halibrand pin-drive wheels. While most 4000-series Cobras had bodies made in glassfibre or aluminium, this is the second of only 10 that were bodied in carbon fibre. Painted in Guardsman Blue with Wimbledon White racing stripes, and with a side-exit exhaust, it has immense presence even when it’s stationary. CSX4502 was first registered in the UK during 2018, having been imported from Florida. In 2021, it received a new flywheel, clutch and bellhousing, and has been used only sparingly throughout its life. As of the beginning of 2026, this Shelby CSX4000 has received a thorough overhaul from marque specialists Redline Engineering, including a new fuel tank, fuel system and engine service. Presented in exceptional condition, this charismatic and exciting car boasts a thunderous soundtrack from its big V8, and represents a rare and collectable example of the 4000-series Cobra. 1965 Shelby Automobiles CSX4000 Cobra 427 The Classic Motor Hub If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1957-mercedes-benz-300sl-roadster-3

Extremely original 300SL example, fully restored Numbers matching body, engine, and transmission Original factory Mercedes-Benz hardtop Beautiful combination of Mercedes-Benz Anthracite Grey Metallic (Anthrazit Grau DB172), over Light Grey leather interior Very rare European-spec headlights One of 1,858 examples ever built worldwide Complete engine rebuild and tuning by former Hjeltness Restoration engine builder Recent major mechanical restoration performed by 300SL experts Hjeltness Restoration, including transmission rebuild, brake system rebuild, valve and timing chain adjustment 3.0L inline 6 Bosch fuel-injected engine, 240HP, 217lb-ft of torque, 4-speed manual transmission Includes fitted luggage, books, tool kit, jack, spare wheel/tire How does a successful automotive company like Mercedes-Benz innovate the critically-acclaimed 300SL Gullwing? By removing the roof, of course. After 3 years of production of the 300 SLR-inspired road car, Mercedes-Benz began the second stage of the 300SL, releasing the Roadster to the world. Keeping the dramatic long hood at the front but massaging the rear to incorporate a newly-developed soft top and hardtop, the 300SL Roadster now had unlimited headroom for taller occupants. Sold from 1957 until 1963, it was considered a monumental success for Mercedes-Benz not only in terms of sales, but establishing the brand as a premiere luxury sports car builder. With only 1,858 examples ever built, the 300SL Roadster is a very rare automobile and one of the most beautiful designs crafted out of Sindelfingen, Germany. The Roadster acquired several updates in comparison to the Gullwing which all led to a more enjoyable driving experience. The drivetrain received notable upgrades in quality and performance, such as the 300SL Roadster 3.0L engine being upgraded to 240 horsepower from the Gullwing’s 212 horsepower due to the innovative Bosch fuel injection system vs. carburetors. The transmission of the Gullwing had semi straight-cut gears in its 4-speed transmission, more like a race car but had a distinctive whine while driving. The Roadster on the other hand gained a fully synchronized 4-speed manual transmission which was much quieter and smoother. Other improvements included a lowered rear axle for better handling, a lower sill in the interior for easier ingress and egress, and in general practicality improvements. This 1957 300SL Roadster has a unique story, remaining in the same family for over 50 years and then recently having a stunning restoration performed on it from a detail-oriented caretaker and critically-acclaimed architect, Jonathan Segal. The 300SL was first registered in March of 1958 to John D. Ryan of Ramsey, Montana and subsequently to Dr. John Gans of Morenci, Arizona before making its way to its 50+ year longtime caretaker, Merlin D. Peay, D.D.S. Merlin Deeon Peay graduated from Clifton High School at 17 years old and went immediately into the U.S. Navy during WWII. After completing his service, he attended and graduated from the University of Arizona in Pharmacy, eventually graduating from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry at the top of his class. As part of maybe a graduate gift to himself, this 1957 Mercedes-Benz 300SL made its way to him in the early 1960s, with his first service record showing the summer of 1963, indicating 32,153 miles on the odometer. Peay attended and graduated from the Baylor College of Orthodontics in Dallas, Texas in 1966, where he likely used the 300SL as his primary vehicle in commuting. He was not worried about using the 300SL as intended, indicated by the April 11th, 1966 service receipt with an odometer indicating 57,680 miles! By September of 1970, records indicate Peay had accumulated over 88,000 miles on the odometer. Merlin had a penchant for things fast, which could be assumed by the next logical step after one of the world’s greatest sports cars: a pilot’s license. Famously known within his community as “The Flying Orthodontist”, he regularly commuted in his personal plane back and forth from his home in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Gallup, New Mexico for 26 years, a 4 hour and 260-mile round trip by car, and retired from Orthodontics in 1998. When renewing his Gullwing Group membership, his application indicated that in 1998 the 300SL roadster had 105,000 miles on the odometer. In December of 2013 Merlin passed away at the age of 87, leaving his beloved 300SL roadster to his wife, Darla. After a few months she decided it was time for the 300SL to find another caretaker who would enjoy the car as much as her late husband, and in early 2014 it was on its way to San Diego, California to critically-acclaimed architect and car restorer, Jonathan Segal FAIA. A caretaker of fine automobiles with an incredible sense of design through his work as an acclaimed architect, Jonathan Segal knew the 300SL Roadster had found the right home as a part of his collection. Meticulous, detail-oriented, and passionate with all of his vehicles, he enjoyed having them at their peak performance and in excellent condition, maintained by his personal in-house mechanic. Segal, known for his penchant of historic Masteratis, is not what you call an average collector. In the last 5 years alone, he took home a mind-boggling 9 awards from concourse shows, many with different cars and all restored under his supervision. These awards include Best of Show at the 2024 Concours of Elegance in Hampton Court Palace of the U.K. with his restored Maserati A6GCS Frua Spider, Best in Class at the 2019 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in Postwar Touring with his 1950 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Ghia Supergioiello Coupe, and 4 design awards at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance over multiple years. In an interview with Residential Design, Segal describes how he enjoys the one-off nature of many of his cars, disassembling cars apart alongside his son and learning how the cars were built, appreciating the craftsmanship as they restore cars together. Driving the 300SL around San Diego, Segal had a number of service items performed over the years by a variety of mechanical artisans. Hjeltness Restoration, famously known for their 300SL restorations, did a significant amount of work to restore the performance of the Roadster. This work at Hjeltness included completely rebuilding the 4-speed manual transmission, removing the existing fuel tank internal surface and recoating it, relining and arcing the brake shoes, installing new rear axle boots and four shocks, rebuilding the power brake diaphragm, installing new sway bar rubbers, adding a new clutch, disc and throw out bearing, resurfacing the flywheel, replacing muffler hangers, installing a new V-belt rear transmission mount, replacing shifter bushings, rebuilding the mechanical fuel delivery pump for the injection unit, updating and rebuilding the cross shaft linkage assembly, replacing the fuel injection pump vacuum diaphragm and adjusting the mixture on pump and throttle body. This mechanical work was done in preparation for the Colorado Grand, ensuring that the 300SL was ready for the long drive ahead to be enjoyed. Towards the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020, Segal had started thinking of the idea of cosmetically restoring the 300SL to a new period-correct color specification, Anthracite Grey Metallic with a Light Grey leather interior. Then, in early 2020, the Covid epidemic hit. He took this as the perfect time to restore the car while shops needed work to stay open and began the year-long process of restoring the 300SL Roadster. Ever meticulous with the Mercedes-Benz, Segal had the car disassembled at his facility before going to a reputable and noted paint facility in Southern California where the 300SL received a full bare-metal repaint. Anthracite Grey Metallic, DB172, was a period-correct Mercedes-Benz color that was used on 300SLs when they were originally for sale in the late 50s and early 60s. All of the brightwork and chrome was removed and sent out to be replated, NOS european-spec headlights were brought over personally by Segal from Europe at the tune of $30,000. Seals, gaskets, and any components that needed to be replaced were purchased with OEM parts from Mercedes-Benz Classic, ensuring their fitment and authenticity. The original interior was reupholstered in a light gray leather by two former Hjeltness employees who primarily did interior work for Hjeltness Restoration. Attention to detail was given to each and every stitch, so when said and done the interior was nothing short of fantastic. Paired with the Anthracite Grey Metallic paint, the color combination is a stunning example of a restoration done right. The engine, the 3.0L inline-6 engine, now with over 105,000 miles since it was originally new in 1958, was treated to a full engine rebuild by Mark Ballerini. Known for his engine building skills while at Hjeltness Restoration for his tenure of 10+ years, he was chosen to be the person to rebuild the 300SL’s engine. Once completed, Segal took the car on the California Mille, and Mark used this time to tune the engine to perfection. After the Roadster was restored and driven in the California Mille, Segal kept the car in his collection for a few more years, enjoying it thoroughly. After bringing it to its current state, and having it with him for more than 10 years, he decided that it was time for the car to find a new caretaker. The 300SL Roadster arrived at Canepa and was immediately entered into the “Canepa Difference” process, ensuring that cosmetically and mechanically it was perfect through inspection, and addressing anything that required attention. The car was put into Canepa’s detailing department where it was given a concours-level detailing of the underside, ensuring no dirt or oil was left. It next went through a multi-stage paint-polishing process to enhance the luster of the Anthracite Grey Metallic paint finish. Mechanically it was thoroughly inspected and found to be in excellent condition, driving well and starting without hesitation, and overall being ready to drive out into another car tour. The Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster is a magical car that attracts attention anywhere it goes. With a design that was well ahead of its time, there is no doubt that the 300SL is one of the most iconic vehicles in the world, bar none. Restored and sorted, this 1957 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster is ready for another 50 years on the road and any concours lawn. 1957 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster Canepa If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The Jaguar XK 150 is a versatile, competitive choice of historic racing car that’s eligible for a wide range of events, and this particular example was race-prepared in recent years with no expense spared. It was originally built in February 1959 as a standard right-hand-drive, 3.4-litre, XK 150 S Fixed-Head Coupé. As one of only 86 such cars to leave the famous Browns Lane factory, that makes it a very rare variant of the model. Chassis number 824785DN was finished in Pearl Grey with a Red interior and sold new via Glovers in Harrogate. Registered 799 JDV, the XK next turns up being offered for sale in March 1990, by which time it was said to have had only two owners – the second of whomhad bought it in 1960 or 1961. They had also rebuilt the car between 1969 and 1973. Fast-forward to 2016 and the XK 150 was once again in need of restoration, and over the course of the next two years, it was built up into competition spec by renowned specialist Brian Stevens of XK Motorsport. The engine was uprated from 3.4 to 3.8 litres, the larger capacity having been added to the XK 150 range from late 1959 onwards. It runs on S-spec triple SU carburettors and drives through the standard Moss four-speed gearbox. Stevens had intended to use the completed XK 150 himself, but instead he decided to sell it in unraced condition. Through 2018 and 2019, it was campaigned by its new owner in the UK and on the continent, at venues such as Le Mans, Spa-Francorchamps, Brands Hatch and Snetterton. Now being offered for sale at the Classic Motor Hub, this superbly prepared and well-proven XK 150 features a Corbeau race seat, Lifeline extinguisher, bolt-in half roll cage and Dunlop Racing tyres. It also has an FIA Historic Technical Passport that’s valid until December 2028, and will offer its next owner a highly competitive and enjoyable entry into a variety of historic-racing series. 1959 Jaguar XK150 The Classic Motor Hub If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. With only 200 having left the Maranello factory between 1964 and 1966, the Ferrari 275 GTS is already a very rare car, but chassis number 07585 is part of an even smaller group because it’s one of only 14 that were built in right-hand-drive form. Amazingly, it has also had only one owner since it was supplied new in 1965. The British-based enthusiast – who was then still in his early 20s – chose to collect his 275 GTS from Italy. The history file includes an incredibly evocative set of photographs from that trip, showing the Ferrari – in its original colour of Argento and registered on the export plate ‘EE 02324’ – in Modena and then in the mountains on its way back across Europe. Also part of its file is the original Italian ‘carta di circolazione’, which was issued in the owner’s name in Bologna on 27 August 1965. He then moved to the US and took the Ferrari with him, and it also accompanied him when he returned to the UK in 1967. It was first registered here in September of that year and has been in the UK ever since. During the early 2000s, it was treated to a full restoration by a marque specialist, a process that cost almost £100,000 and involved respraying the car in its current shade of red. Since then, the Ferrari has been used only sparingly and had a spell in professional storage, and it was displayed at the 2014 Classic and Supercar Pageant in St John’s Wood, London. It comes with its factory hardtop, its owner’s handbook in its original wallet, and even a copy of a sheet entitled ‘Brief Instructions for Operation and Maintenance 275/GTS Spyder Ferrari in Advance of Official Printed Instruction Manual’. With its blend of timeless Pininfarina styling and sonorous, powerful V12 engine, the 275 GTS is an extremely coveted model that was built during a golden period for Ferrari. Not only was the legendary Scuderia enjoying huge success in Formula 1 and endurance races such as the Le Mans 24 Hours, it was also producing some of its most famous road cars. This particular 275 GTS not only embodies all of that history, it also represents an incredibly rare opportunity to acquire a one-owner-from-new, right-hand-drive example of this highly collectible Ferrari. 1965 Ferrari 275 GTS The Classic Motor Hub If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The notice and take down procedure is described here: https://www.speedholics.com/copyright With only 200 having left the Maranello factory between 1964 and 1966, the Ferrari 275 GTS is already a very rare car, but chassis number 07585 is part of an even smaller group because it’s one of only 14 that were built in right-hand-drive form. • 1991 Alfa Romeo SZ 1

Everywhere you look on this outstanding Alfa Romeo SZ, there are signs of the painstaking care that has been lavished on it by its current owner, and it must be one of the best surviving examples of this charismatic Italian sports car. The Certificate of Authenticity from Alfa Classiche shows that it was built in May 1991 and given the build number 597. It was first registered in Japan in May 1994, and in October 1995 it passed to its second owner, who would keep it for the next 22 years. In 2018, the SZ was imported into the UK by a specialist and sold to its new owner, who has kept it ever since. In August that year, it was inspected by Alfa Aid and the work subsequently carried out included the fitment of a stainless-steel exhaust system, reconditioned steering rack, and modified cambelt pulleys and tensioner, as well as a new belt. The owner is a well-known suspension specialist and had the dampers re-valved, which has provided more suspension travel and more compliance, transforming the way in which the car drives, while retaining the original damper bodies and the standard hydraulic ride-height adjustment. The driving position has also been improved thanks to a spacer in the steering system that increases the distance between the steering wheel and the pedals. The modification looks original and has made the driving position much more comfortable. Due to the methacrylic resin body panels being stored outside during the factory build process, and taking in moisture as a result, SZ paintwork can often suffer from microblistering. To properly eliminate it on this car, the paint was stripped off all panels, which were then placed into a dehumidified room in order to fully dry out. A two-part resin sealer was applied and cured, before the panels were resprayed in their original colour. The aluminium roof section was also painted after removing two small pieces of corrosion, and the end result is a superb paint finish throughout. Other external work has included having the headlight units reconditioned and sealed, to avoid water ingress and fogging. Incredibly rare new door seals were fitted, and a set of new glass seals – now impossible to find – was commissioned from someone in Sweden who had remade the necessary tooling. Wheel spacers have also been fitted so that the three-piece alloys – which still display the etchings showing the name and size of the wheel – better fill the arches. An incredibly rare set of brand-new rear lights was fitted, the black electric aerial is still working and, unlike many SZs, this car even has the correct size and colour of panel rivets. Such fastidious attention to detail is apparent throughout this beautifully presented Alfa Romeo SZ, which is now being offered for sale with its rare tailored cover, complete with even rarer carry bag. It also still has its leather-bound handbook and both keys, and its extensive history file includes a period press pack and books. 1991 Alfa Romeo SZ The Classic Motor Hub If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1956-ac-aceca-bristol

The AC Aceca is one of the finest sporting GT cars of its time, and the beautifully restored example being offered for sale here is one of only 169 that were built new with the powerful Bristol straight-six engine. Chassis number BE576 left the factory on 22 September 1956 as the sixth Bristol-engined Aceca, and its early build date means that it’s eligible for the modern-day Mille Miglia. It was finished in blue with cream leather seats and blue piping, and was sent to the Eastern Auto Company in Singapore. There it was bought was a WS Cowie, who was from Kuala Lumpur and went on to drive his Aceca in a support race for the 1960 Johore CoronationCup. The AC was later acquired by Richard King, an American businessman who lived and worked in Singapore. The car’s history file even includes some of his old insurance certificates from the Automobile Association of Singapore. When Mr King returned to the USA in 1972, he took the Aceca with him to his home in Carmel, California, where he was a neighbour of Clint Eastwood. By that time, the car was in need of restoration, but having bought some engine parts from Bristol’s Chiswick-based service department in April 1973, the work unfortunately went little further and the unfinished Aceca remained in Mr King’s garage for the next 40 years. It was then acquired in 2015 by an English enthusiast via Gullwing Motors of New York. Having been shipped across to the UK, the AC was treated to a full restoration, which included having the Bristol 100D engine rebuilt to fast-road specification by Coltec Racing Engines in Suffolk. The restoration is fully documented within the car’s comprehensive history file, and the owner used the Aceca on the Mille Miglia before selling it in 2018. Since then, it has been fastidiously maintained and has benefited from the fitment of an aluminium radiator and an electric cooling fan. With its combination of fabulous styling and that crisp, powerful six-cylinder engine, this AC Aceca Bristol is a rare and extremely attractive car that is still superbly presented after its rebuild. 1956 AC Aceca Bristol The Classic Motor Hub If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1970 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL

Once described by classic Mercedes expert Roger Edwards as being one of the finest 280SLs he’d ever seen, this is a beautiful example of the German marque’s supremely stylish two-seater. Built in September 1970 and sold new to Mr. Michael L Bergman of Lyons, Colorado, it was specified with a manual gearbox and very rare limited-slip differential, plus of course its ‘Pagoda’ hard-top which accompanies the car on a purpose built stand. Mr Bergman kept the 280SL until the late 1970s, when it passed to Larry Fitzsimons – another Colorado resident. In 1988, Fitzsimons commissioned a Denver-based Mercedes specialist, Austria Motors, to rebuild the engine and, two years later, the gearbox as well. The car changed hands in 1992 and again in 1998, when it was bought by a collector and enthusiast who lived in Denver. He had the 280SL’s bodywork stripped to bare metal and resprayed in its original colour of Light Ivory. There is a photographic record of this work in the car’s extensive history file, and it shows how solid the bodywork had remained. The US-market bumper overriders were removed, European-spec headlamps were fitted, and in 2000 the Mercedes was shipped across the Atlantic when the owner moved to the UK. All of the power-sapping US emissions controls were subsequently removed from the six-cylinder engine, and the car’s paperwork confirms that the car has been fastidiously maintained since then, with no expense spared. The rear suspension rubbers were replaced at 79,000 miles, a new propshaft coupling was fitted at 81,000 miles, and at 84,000 miles it received new hoses and belts, a stainless-steel exhaust and a new brake master cylinder. New front brake discs, fuel hoses and a gearbox oil seal were installed at 91,000 miles, and in January 2024 a brand-new mohair hood was fitted at a cost of more than £4000. Now being offered for sale, this matching-numbers Mercedes 280SL Pagoda is in exceptional condition throughout and is presented with its original handbook, Becker radio and tool kit. It even still has the original stickers on the boot lid for oil level and tyre pressures, and represents a peerless blend of elegant styling and engineering excellence. 1970 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL The Classic Motor Hub If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1961 Maserati 3500GT Vignale Spyder 2

The late 1950s were a halcyon period for Grand Touring cars and few were more stylish than the Maserati 3500GT Vignale Spyder. This particular example – chassis number AM101.1297 – is one of only five right-hand-drive cars built and was completed on 23 May 1961. The Maserati is thought to have been sold new via Arturo Tuena in Genoa to an Englishman who was living in Italy – hence the right-hand-drive configuration. Finished in Acciaio Brunito with a black interior, it originally wore steel wheels but they were later replaced with the optional Borrani wires. As a relatively early example of the 3500GT Spyder, it featured the four-speed gearbox. Not until later in the production run did Maserati fit a five-speed unit. The car was in the UK by 1969, when it was acquired by Stuart Cawley, who had seen it advertised for sale in Motor Sport magazine. It had been repainted Cream but was still on Milanese registration plates, and having bought it for £1200 – against which he part-exchanged his Mercedes-Benz 190SL – Cawley drove it from London back home to Scotland. Having used the Maserati for a couple of years, he drove it down to Italy in 1971 so that the engine could receive some remedial work at Autocorse – as recommended by the factory. Having not been entirely happy with the results, he returned in 1972 so that a more comprehensive rebuild of the straight-six could be carried out. Cawley moved to Hertfordshire in 1975 and got to know marque specialist Bill McGrath. When Cawley later retired, he went to work for McGrath part-time, and in return Bill stored the 3500GT Vignale Spyder free of charge. Having not had much use out of the car in the later years of his ownership, Cawley eventually decided to sell it in 2000 to Patrick Martin, who he knew as a customer of McGrath. Martin had it mechanically recommissioned and in 2004 used it for the Maserati 90th anniversary celebrations in Italy. The following year, he sold the car to Edwin Faulkner, who commissioned a bodywork restoration by Jim Henshaw, during which it was resprayed in the Maserati shade of Avorio. A retrim was also carried out. Faulkner kept the Vignale Spyder on the Isle of Man and, as part of the registration process there, had to replace the original kilometres-per-hour speedometer with a miles-per-hour version. He sold it in 2010 to a UK-based owner who had it returned to its original colour of Acciaio Brunito by respected restoration firm Moto Technique. Three years later it passed to another UK enthusiast, and in 2014 it was used on the Maserati Club Scottish Tour as well as the Goodwood Road Racing Club’s Corsica and Sardinia Tour. The Maserati was displayed at concours events and was runner-up in the Club Trophy at the 2016 Concours of Elegance at Windsor Castle. It was also part of the Earls Court display at the 2014 Goodwood Revival, and was first in class and overall winner at the 2016 Maserati Club Concours. Now being offered for sale at The Classic Motor Hub in exceptional condition, this well-known and supremely stylish Maserati 3500GT Vignale Spyder has been maintained with no expense spared in recent years. In February 2022, its gearbox and steering box were rebuilt by McGrath and it benefits from electric power-steering. It also comes with a consignment of spares that includes five road wheels, a pair of front brake discs and a steering column, plus an original copy of the driver’s manual. 1961 Maserati 3500GT Vignale Spyder The Classic Motor Hub If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1962-jaguar-e-type-38

The Series 1 3.8 Fixed-Head Coupé is among the most coveted of all Jaguar E-types, and this superbly restored example benefits from some subtle upgrades to make it even more usable and enjoyable. Chassis number 860303 was built on 19 March 1962, and dispatched on 27 April to Jaguar Distributors in Leeds. It was then sold new to a Dr LE Mitchell by Newton of Huddersfield, which was owned by a family that included two rally-driving daughters who were known as the ‘Mad Newton Sisters’. One of them became a highly successful works driver for the likes of Ford and BMC under her married name of Anne Hall. The registration number 692 KGE was issued in Glasgow, and the E-type was mentioned in the September 1979 issue of Jaguar Driver magazine. At that time, it was owned by David Walker of Crossgates in Fife, and a note said: ‘Body has been assembled, including a brand-new bonnet, engine rebuilt by Sandy Barnett and hopefully going to be on the road next year.’ By 2005, the E-type had been repainted Golden Sand with a Tan interior. It was subsequently restored in Sweden by an owner who was based just north of Stockholm, and the car returned to the road there in 2019. In 2020, it was acquired by a UK-based enthusiast who sent it straight to CKL Developments for assessment. It was decided that the panel fit needed improving in certain areas, and the cylinder head was rebuilt with new tappets, valves and guides. The differential was also overhauled with a new crownwheel and pinion, plus new bearings and seals throughout. Since 2022, further work has been carried out by Southern Classics, including a rebuild of the Getrag five-speed gearbox and the fitment of a new clutch plate and release bearing. The radiator has also been recored and an adjustable front torsion bar reaction plate has been fitted. A retro-look DAB stereo, complete with Bluetooth and hands-free functionality, has been subtly incorporate into the centre console, and there is also a discreet USB charging port. Presented in its original colours of Opalescent Gunmetal with Grey interior, this beautiful Jaguar E-type is offered for sale complete with its original four-speed gearbox, plus a Heritage Certificate and a USB stick full of restoration photographs. 1962 Jaguar E-Type 3.8 The Classic Motor Hub If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer.
