- 1967 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT Veloce ‘Twin Spark Restomod’
Penned by Giorgetto Giugiaro at Bertone, the 105’s clean and distinctive design made it one of the most attractive small coupes of the 1960s and 70s and the earlier ‘Stepnose’ cars were the first of that body shape and seen as the most desirable. In recent years the trend largely initiated by Alfaholics has been to modify 105 series Alfa Romeo’s. This ‘Stepnose’ is an example of one of these types of ‘Restomod’ cars and heavily influenced by the Allfaholics cars. The quality of our car is truly exceptional in every respect. After 9 years of ownership the owner embarked on a meticulous build to take the car to one of the best we’ve ever seen. The level of quality in all areas of this car is without fault and a credit to the team involved. The car was completed in 2020 and has done only around 3000 kms since. Owing to a change in personal circumstances he now needs to let the car go to the next custodian. This presents a great opportunity for the next owner to purchase the car at a fraction of the cost of the initial investment. Invoices which accompany the car total in excess of $130,000 which excludes the purchase price of the car itself. The engine was replaced by a rebuilt 2-litre twin spark with fuel injection managed by the Omex ITB ECU system. The induction noise from this set-up is simply wonderous and as expected it just pulls and pulls and pulls. The body shell was stripped, and any compromised metal was replaced. The colour whilst not original Alfa Romeo is Pino Verde Metallic – it looks simply stunning and is inspired by the Ferrari colour used in period. It compliments the interior tan colour so well. The quality of the paint and its application is flawless and the best we’ve seen. As part of the panel work done to the shell, strengthening sections were applied to increase rigidity which translates to improved performance and road holding. As expected, numerous Alfaholics parts have been used throughout the car. Turn the key and the engine fires up with a familiar Alfa Romeo growl. Out on the open road this car is just superb and is without doubt one of the most memorable test drives we’ve had the pleasure of conducting. The brakes and handling are pin sharp and the induction noise from the throttle bodies is intoxicating. Above 4000 rpm the power really starts to take hold, and the car really gets moving. The feedback is superb and the whole sensory experience is as good as it gets. Braking is helped with the fitment of Brembo’s from a later Alfa Romeo 75 and a limited slip diff and hydraulic clutch is also fitted too. Having said this the way this car has been set-up is incredibly impressive. It is not harsh or uncomfortable in any way. The ride is compliant, and it is perfectly comfortable to drive around at normal speeds. If, however, you then choose to become a bit more ‘enthusiastic’ then its character reflects this and delivers in spades. The owner specified this requirement in the build, and it has been delivered perfectly. Of note is the fitment of an electric air conditioning unit which increases the level of comfort and the cars practical use. This type of unit removes the need for under bonnet ancillary items keeping the engine bay open. The installation is excellent, and its efficiency in operation puts many modern cars to shame. It is neatly fitted to the dash area and is very simple to use too. The gearbox has been inspected and is easy to use and everything performs as expected. Elsewhere inside, the cabin feels light and airy and a nice place to be. The dashboard was refurbished with a carbon fibre face and then a satin clearcoat applied. It is a lovely detail point and pleasing to the eye. Everything works as it should with every guage completely restored. The seats use the correct Alfa Romeo materials, and the interior is a real feature of this car. A new and correct type of headlining has been fitted and the driver is greeted by a beautiful Nardi steering wheel. USB connections are available and integrated microphone too. The boot has a replacement carpet, and the rear wheel well deleted to allow for the installation of the aircon unit. The wheels are GTA style replica’s and shod in Bridgestone tyres. The engine bay is a work of art and pin sharp and presents beautifully. The battery has been moved to the boot and is in a discreet area hidden from view. As you would expect the underside of the car presents is as clean and fresh as it is on top. Overall, this represents a spectacular performance enhanced ‘Stepnose’ with a huge amount of work done and significant investment made. The work was done by experts with these 105 Alfa Romeo’s and it shows. This would be a perfect buy for someone considering restoring an ‘Alfaholics’ like car but wishing to avoid the wait or costs! A wonderfully attractive Alfa Romeo and so much fun too. 1967 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT Veloce ‘Twin Spark Restomod’ Сlassic Сar Market If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1994 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione II 'Edizione Finale'
When Lancia finally ended its association with the World Rally Championship in a span that produced an unprecedented six consecutive Manufacturers’ titles, it had made a legend out of a small hatchback that was arguably behind the curve when it first appeared in the aftermath of Group B rallying. While rival manufacturers argued with the FIA about whether Group B and its planned replacement, Group S, should continue, Lancia got to work with the Group A Lancia Delta, beginning with the HF 4WD. The rest is history, with consecutive World Rally Championships for drivers and the car’s manufacturer alike. As a result came increasingly powerful and advanced road cars to homologate the racers. All good things must come to an end, however, and the Edizione Finale was a great way to bow out, building upon the advancements made for the Evolution II development programme with individual upgrades reserved just for this Japan-only version of this iconic car. The Evolution II package had served up the most potent Integrale yet, with 212 horsepower available from its 2.0-litre twin-cam engine courtesy of a new Garrett turbocharger and a reprogrammed ECU, but more was to come for the Final Edition. The most noticeable changes were to the aesthetics, thanks to a yellow-blue stripe over Amaranto (dark red) paint, inspired by the Fulvia HF. Dark-grey painted wheels are apparent on closer inspection, together with black bonnet vents and mesh grille, a carbon fibre fuel cap to match the steering wheel centre, and special badging. Inside, there were aluminium pedals, a racing-style gear shift, carbon fibre trim, and an aluminium gear knob, plus a push-button engine start. This was complemented by a black Alcantara and cloth Recaro seating selection. The changes weren’t only cosmetic—of all the special editions, only the Edizione Finale received a rear OMP strut bar. Just 250 were made. The example here finished production on 19 January 1995, according to the accompanying Lancia Classiche Certificato di Origine. In February 2023 the car was serviced at renowned UK Integrale specialists, Walkers Garage, with further refurbishment of the braking system, central locking system, and lower sump pan. The car passed a UK MoT test around the same time but was not registered in the country. At the time of cataloguing the Lancia’s odometer reads 82,860 kilometres, though it still wears its protective plastic wrapping over the door trims. Unlike many examples of the breed, the car is unmodified other than upgraded exhaust system. Car number 244 of the 250 made would surely be the jewel in any collection of road-going homologation specials. 1994 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evo II RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1962 Jaguar XKE Series 1 Roadster
General History Beautiful body lines, unrivaled performance, and racing lineage combined at the dawn of the 1960s to make the Jaguar XKE an immediate sensation. With its beautiful lines and affordable price, the E-Type grew to iconic status where it has remained for more than half a century adored by collectors and enthusiasts. Independent front and rear suspension, disc brakes all around (inboard at the rear to reduce unsprung weight), and Jaguar’s legendary twin-cam inline six-cylinder engine were among the many aspects contributing to the allure. Sales were brisk with continuous development growing in both American and European markets. Continuing sales would advance into the 1970s, but enthusiasts and collectors steadfastly confirm admiration for the Series 1 models as one of the most beautiful and capable sports cars ever conceived. History of this Example According to the current owner, this car has been in California, located in the South Bay area for the majority of its life, possibly since new. It is believed to have been finished at the factory in red with black leather interior and repainted some years ago. At some point under prior ownership, the car was fitted with a 4.2-liter engine and all-synchromesh 4-speed, both of which remain in the car today. Currently wearing a vintage black and gold license plate UHR 234, it is possible this license plate has been on the car since the mid 1960s. The current owner purchased this car from his neighbor, a long-term owner, approximately ten years ago and has performed regular oil and fluid changes, installed an electric cooling fan, and replaced the entire exhaust system from the headers back including stainless-steel mufflers. has enjoyed the car for several years, participating in rallies and various local car club events. Having restored another XKE to a very high standard, this roadster is his “go to” car for enjoyable driving and event participation. – one that he can easily use without worry or concern. As part of the local history, an oil change sticker remains affixed to the door jamb indicating 8,616 miles when it was serviced in 1985. Current Condition Today, this Jaguar XKE roadster boasts high gloss red exterior paint and a black canvas top with black interior, all of which present very well. The paint is quite nice overall showing only minor areas of use including a few chips and light scuff marks, none of which detract from the generally nice presentation. The lighting, lenses, and glass are very clean, headlight buckets are correctly finished in satin silver, and the chrome front and rear bumpers are in very good condition. The body integrity is solid overall, with good panel gaps on the doors and good bonnet closure. The trunk lid sits slightly proud on the driver’s side but latches and releases without issue. The windshield surround is in very nice condition with good trim and correct triple wipers. The car wears a set of chrome wire wheels which are in excellent condition, finished with chrome dual ear knockoffs and Vredestein Sport Classic series tires. The convertible top raises and lowers easily with no significant marks on the canvas material which appears to have been more recently replaced. The black leather and vinyl interior is clean and tidy, finished to correct factory contours. The leather seats are comfortable and firm and appear to have been more recently reupholstered including the inner seat foam, which remains in very good condition. The remaining interior is finished in black vinyl including the door cards, door sills, arm rest, and matching center console, all of which are in very good condition. Carpet and floor mats are in very good condition, though some of the associated trim, such as the shifter boot edge beading exhibit signs of age. The black dash pad is properly contoured, and the instruments, switches, and other features of the interior all appear to be correct for this early Series 1 XKE. The trunk houses a matching wire wheel and a set of tools and jack as well as two knock off wheel hammers. The interior conveys a harmonious look and feel very much in keeping with original specifications believed to have been delivered when new. Under the hood, the engine has been upgraded to the later series 4.2-liter type. The finishes are correct and accurate for this series car and the engine compartment has been properly detailed. The correct carburetors, silver hammer-tone factory air cleaner assembly, and air filter box are reflective of former restoration efforts and regular care and detailing under current ownership. The various ancillary components, hoses, clamps, and various hardware appear to have also been correctly finished and detailed per original specifications and still retain a very handsome presentation. Importantly, the front suspension “picture frame” is in place bearing the original matching chassis number and an original chassis plate is also in place, referencing the matching chassis number as well as the original engine number, R 3091-9. The undercarriage appears sound and tidy, while the overall integrity of the body seams, welded floors, and suspension components appear properly prepared including helpful upgrades such as GAZ front and rear shock absorbers and a pair of stainless-steel mufflers dated 2020. Included with the car The car is accompanied by a set of tools and tool roll, THOR copper head knock off Hammer, rubber mallet, a folding knife, and a jack. 1962 Jaguar XKE Series 1 Roadster Fantasy Junction If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The notice and take down procedure is described here: https://www.speedholics.com/copyright General History Beautiful body lines, unrivaled performance, and racing lineage combined at the dawn of the 1960s to make the Jaguar XKE an immediate sensation. - 1967 Iso Grifo GL
Some of the greatest Italian GT cars have come from the most unusual beginnings, but it is difficult to beat the origins of Iso, born from a company that first manufactured household appliances—namely refrigerators—and later the Isetta microcar. Yet against all odds Iso built a truly marvelous driver’s machine, combining sleek Italian design by Bertone with the unrestrained American power of a Corvette V-8. The Grifo was one of the world’s fastest production cars of its time, with a top speed upwards of 140 mph. Its production run of what is believed to be just 330 Series I examples made it quite sought-after when new and it remains so today. The car offered here was built with the 350-horsepower, 327-cubic-inch Hi-Po V-8, Borg-Warner four-speed manual transmission, 3.07:1 rear axle, air conditioning, and ZF quick-ratio steering box. Following completion on 21 March 1967 it was delivered to its original owner in Italy. According to an Iso Grifo registry publication, it was the car memorably featured in major scenes of the gritty 1973 Italian crime film, The Violent Professionals, and later registered in Holland between 2000 and 2013. Subsequently it was acquired in 2017 by Stewart Parr of New York, from whom it was purchased by the present owner in 2021. Mr. Parr undertook a cosmetic restoration of the car in what are reportedly its original colors and with the original drivetrain. The car is equipped with the aforementioned features, as well as power steering and brakes, and a driver’s side-view mirror. Its interior features bucket seats and console trimmed in black leather, a wood-grained dashboard housing Veglia Borletti instrumentation, and both clock and AM radio, while a full-sized spare is housed in the trunk. Its current owner has reportedly invested some $24,000 on further mechanical sorting. Accompanying are an original owner’s manual and period advertising pieces. The Iso Grifo when new combined a fascinating heritage with muscular brawn, sensual design, and impressive performance—with the added, pragmatic appeal of an American powertrain that was and is easy to service and maintain. It ranks among the most beautiful, potent, user-friendly automobiles of its era, and would have a ready home in any fine collection. 1967 Iso Grifo GL RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1976 Lancia Stratos HF Stradale 1
Short, stubby and simply unstoppable, the Lancia Stratos HF won a staggering 18 World Rally events and no fewer than three World Rally Championships. Its formidable performance can be attributed largely to Marcello Gandini, the design wunderkind who, working under the Bertone banner, single-handedly revolutionised the world of car design. The introduction of the Stratos in 1970 heralded the era of the ‘wedge’ and petrolheads simply had no idea what they were in for. Arguably the very first thoroughbred rally car, no stone was left unturned by Lancia and Bertone’s designers and engineers in the quest for performance. The Stratos’ desperately short wheelbase (just 2.18 metres) coupled with its 880kg weight meant it was positively nimble and direct. It took a skip-full of skill to master it, which explains why Sandro Munari ranks so highly in our list of great drivers. For the heart of its new car, Lancia approached Ferrari, a company whose legend was forged around the power and reliability of its engines. A 2.4-litre six-cylinder ‘Dino’ engine was chosen and tucked transversely right behind the cabin. It produced a mighty 300HP in Corsa spec. And it sounded a rabid dog barking for its life. “The Stratos’s formidable performance can be attributed largely to Marcello Gandini, the design wunderkind who, working under the Bertone banner, single-handedly revolutionised the world of car design.” Crucially, the rallying rules of the time dictated that 500 road-specification cars were to be built in order to homologate a competition variant. In typically Italian fashion, Lancia didn’t manage to do that. It’s estimated that 492 Stratos HF Stradales left the marque’s Chivasso plant, of which this beautiful example from 1975 is one. Chassis number 001545 The production of this magnificent Stratos HF Stradale, chassis number 001545, was completed at Lancia’s Chivasso plant in January of 1975. Finished in Rosso Stratos over a Nero con Alcantara (black leatherette seats with Havana Alcantara inserts) interior, the car was delivered with two optional extras: larger Pirelli 205/70-section tyres and red carpets. Lancia first sold this Stratos to Lancia France in Levallois, where it was first registered in 1978. And France is where it would remain for over four decades, passing through the hands of a number of custodians including the well-known French collector Monsieur Jacques Capoulade and Francois Ceresa, who participated in the 1999 Coupe des Alpes. This Lancia’s penultimate Parisian owner acquired the car in 2014. During his tenure as chassis 001545’s owner, he maintained the car fastidiously, as proven by the myriad invoices we have on file. In 2017, he commissioned a sensitive cosmetic refresh with Carrosserie Martin, which included a full repaint in the original shade of Rosso Stratos, a gearbox rebuild and the fitment of a new exhaust system and tyres. We at Girardo & Co. had the pleasure of selling this Stratos in early 2020, its next and current custodian opting to import the car to the United Kingdom. Carefully stored and infrequently driven, the Lancia’s most notable outing under the stewardship of its current owner was the 2022 Tour Auto Optic 2000. The 2,000-km road rally meandered from Paris to the Andorra and encompassed 14 special stages and a number of legendary racing circuits. Needless to say, chassis 001545 didn’t miss a beat – a testament to the fastidious care bestowed upon the car throughout its life. The accompanying Girardo & Co. history file testifies to the love and attention this Stratos has enjoyed over the years. It’s crammed with invoices. Also included are its Lancia Classiche Certificato di Origine, copies of the Stratos’ FIA homologation papers and factory Lancia user manual, service schedule and spare parts catalogue. In spite of its rally roots, versatility is the Lancia Stratos’ trump card in today’s world. Among the most famous 1970s sports cars of them all, the Stratos is go-anywhere, do-anything car – from concours competitions and historic road rallies to showing up modern supercars at your local cars-and-coffee morning. We’re confident this gorgeous and highly original Stratos HF Stradale won’t hang around Belchers Farm for long. 1976 Lancia Stratos HF Stradale Girardo & Co.
