The Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary Sandro Munari and Horacio Pagani. To appreciate the lengths Lamborghini went to ensure the car with which it would mark its 25th anniversary was truly worthy, you only needed a glance at the two names drafted in to help develop it. In truth, when Chrysler assumed control of Lamborghini in the 1980s, it had rather hoped that the new Diablo would be ready in time for the marque’s landmark birthday. Alas, it wasn’t to be, so focus instead turned to the trusty Countach, Lamborghini’s wedge-tastic flagship since 1974. That the resulting Countach 25th Anniversary, of which 667 were produced, evolved from Gandini’s minimal LP400 is remarkable. The liberal addition of era-defining (and functional) strakes and select carbon-fibre bits and pieces were the work of a young Horacio Pagani, who’d been recruited to head Lamborghini’s exciting new composites division. Furthermore, the 1977 World Rally Champion Sandro Munari was brought in to hone the suspension. And it’s fair to say the Italian knew a thing or to about road-holding and balance. Combined with a plethora of comfort- and refinement-based upgrades implemented to overcome some of the Countach’s established foibles, the 25th Anniversary is the best Countach to drive and enjoy. Chassis number 12031 The distinction of the left-hand-drive Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary we’re thrilled to be offering is that it’s covered a mere 1,719 kilometres from new and, as a result, is presented in the most remarkably original condition. Finished in Rosso over a Nero interior, chassis number 12031 was originally ordered in June of 1990 by Portman Lamborghini in the United Kingdom, which in turn found the car its first owner in Japan. Said owner cherished this Countach from 1990 until 2015, at which point it returned to Europe. This Lamborghini was acquired by its third and current custodian in 2017, when the mileage was noted as a mere 671 kilometres. In the nine years since then, he’s added only a further 1,100 kilometres to the odometer and had the car maintained accordingly, including a thorough mechanical refresh in 2018 totalling more than £18,000. Most recently, in the spring of this year, Bob Houghton Ltd. carried out a major service, during which the door and boot struts were renewed and the engine and gearbox oil were replaced. The cost totalled over £2,500. Given the minimal mileage and careful storage of this Countach, it’s by far the best condition example we’ve yet encountered. Overall, the car’s immaculate, the Rosso paintwork retaining its depth and allure and the Nero leather interior boasting the subtle sheen of gentle use. The carbon-lidded engine bay is particularly clean and tidy, barely exhibiting any signs of use. We were perhaps most surprised by how well chassis number 12031 drives – not something than can be said for most older cars with such minimal use under their belts. Having never been restored, this Countach feels beautifully run in. While positive, the gearbox is not stiff, the air-conditioning is fantastic and that V12 is responsive and genuinely strong, propelling the car with impressive shove. The 25th Anniversary might have been a commercial stop-gap until the arrival of the Diablo and, in turn, heralded a new era for the Raging Bull. But it was proudly, defiantly Lamborghini and a fitting end for a supercar which has captured the imagination of so many people for so many years. Chassis number 12031 is surely among the lowest-mileage and most original examples available anywhere. 1990 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary Girardo & Co. The Ferrari 360 Modena represents a major step forward in the history of the marque from Maranello. For the first time, Ferrari used an entirely aluminium chassis, resulting in significant weight reduction and substantially improved driving dynamics. The naturally aspirated V8 engine impresses with its high-revving character and unmistakable soundtrack. Approximately 8,800 coupé models were produced in total, with only a comparatively small number delivered with the traditional manual gearbox – a configuration that is especially sought after today. The Ferrari 360 Modena presented here was delivered new in Germany to its first and, to this day, only owner, a dedicated Ferrari enthusiast. First registered on 03 September 1999, the car stands out not only for its low mileage of just 62,000 km, but also for its classic Rosso Corsa exterior paired with a nero leather interior. The original onboard documents, including the service booklet, are present. The vehicle is in exceptionally well-maintained condition. A major service, including timing belt replacement, has recently been completed. 1999 Ferrari 360 Modena Thiesen Hamburg GmbH If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The history of this spyder begins with Ferrari factory construction in 1963. Having left the factory as a 1963 250 GTE finished in silver with black interior, the car continued through the early years with an otherwise unremarkable history but for one rather unusually spectacular intersection with one of the most important competition Ferraris, a 250 GT SWB. In 1967, 250 GT SWB (#2735 – driven by Rob Walker and Sterling Moss) needed an engine. Engine #3635, a robust series II big valve head variant, was installed in the SWB which continued to power the car for nearly three decades. In 1994, SWB #2735 was restored and the original engine reunited with the car. Concurrent with the SWB restoration, engine #3635, having been removed from the SWB, was installed in chassis #4487 (this subject car) at the same time it was designed, re-engineered , and recreated into a California Spyder. Construction of this spyder was commissioned by the current owner in 1995 and completed in 1996 under the capable hands of master metal craftsman Mark Gerisch, The Academy for the Art of Metal Shaping, Inc. Prior to his work with the Academy, Gerisch was the shop foreman for Wayne Orby’s Motion Products eventually become the “go-to” fabricator for the best Ferrari recreations money could buy particularly as he was exceptionally skilled at building his cars with important refined ergonomics while retaining the correct proportions and design parameters for his cars. As part of his prolific career building one-off cars for Jay Leno, Bruce McCaw, ZZ Top, and others including SEMA show cars, Gerisch now shares his passion for fabrication teaching the next generation the art of metal shaping. Documented with date imprinted photos of this car while under construction (1995), the main upper substructure was mated to a set of lower tubular frame rails strengthened with cross-sectional supports and secondary floor structure. Having access to some of the best Ferraris in the world, Gerisch was fortunate to have an original Cal Spyder in his shop that was used to gain exact measurements for constructing this car. The original body was carefully measured, and the newly formed body fabricated over a wooden hammer buck and contoured to match closely to the original spyder design. Handwritten documentation from 1995 include payments totaling over $250,000 with the final payment for construction recorded in December 1995. After completion, the commissioning and current owner, a resident of Northern California, continued ownership spanning 30 years. During his 30 years of ownership, this spyder was regularly serviced by Ferrari specialist Patrick Ottis. Service records with Ottis total an additional $120k, all of which are copiously documented from the first Ottis invoice on September 12, 1997, with 5,573 kms to the most recent service invoice dated October 10, 2024, with 47,264 kms. Having traveled nearly 25,000 miles while under current ownership this Ferrari has always been stored indoors, annually serviced including fluid changes and mechanical improvements, and regularly detailed. In 2024 a compression tested was performed with consistent results, 2 new Bosch ignition coils were installed, tachometer and speedometer cables cleaned and serviced, new cam cover gasket installed, new oil seal ring, new pinion seal, timing adjusted, carburetors synchronized, differential and gear oil changed, u-joint lubricated, and an oil and filter change performed. In 2022 four new Pirelli Cinturato 185 VR15 tires were mounted and balanced. 1963 Ferrari 250 California Spider Recreation Fantasy Junction If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The notice and take down procedure is described here: https://www.speedholics.com/copyright The history of this spyder begins with Ferrari factory construction in 1963. This finely presented 1960 Mercedes‑Benz 190 SL is a rare right‑hand‑drive example. The original chassis tag records Ivory (DB608) as the factory delivery colour and the body number 0048 is plainly visible; the engine number 017293 sits within 100 of the chassis sequence and is therefore regarded as matching — a desirable point of provenance. Purchased for restoration and entrusted to marque specialists Desmond J Smail to oversee, the car underwent a comprehensive overhaul between 2019 and 2023. Works were carried out to the highest standards and fully recorded; the car was sympathetically finished in the factory‑correct Anthracite Grey (DB190) with Oxblood Red leather (1079), and a Becker Le Mans Bluetooth radio was fitted for period appearance with modern functionality. Final sign‑off and shake‑down were completed by Desmond J Smail in 2023 following careful fettling and servicing; documented invoices show total restoration expenditure was in excess of £150,000. The result is a beautifully turned‑out 190 SL that presents and drives to a high standard, and would be well suited to touring, show display and long‑term enjoyment. This restored RHD 1960 example, with its documented provenance and meticulous Desmond J Smail managed restoration, represents a compelling opportunity to own a quintessential Mercedes roadster presented to a very high standard. - 1959 AC Ace Bristol
Introduced in 1953, the AC Ace was the first British production sports car with independent suspension all round. It dominated numerous international sports car races in the years that followed. Its successes grew in particular after the in-house engine was supplemented by a Bristol engine from 1956, which had previously been installed in the BMW 328. In 1962, the AC Ace served as the basis for the legendary AC Cobra. Only 466 examples of the AC Ace Bristol were built between 1956 and 1964. According to available documents, this AC Ace Bristol was originally equipped with the racing options available at the time, including an oil cooler, a roll bar, a second (electric) fuel pump, etc. The car was imported to the USA by Imperial Motors of Wilmette IL. Its first owner, H.A. Black of Wilmette, was a member of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA). He drove the car until 1963 and its subsequent ownership history is fully documented. In the meantime, the car was part of the renowned Shelby American Collection in the USA. The car arrived in Europe in 2021 and was sold to its current owner in Germany in 2023. The vehicle was recently extensively serviced in specialist workshops and received a new exhaust system, among other things. With the Bristol engine, the AC is particularly well motorised. Its rarity, but also its sporty and powerful appearance make this vehicle an entry ticket for high-class events. 1959 AC Ace Bristol Thiesen Hamburg GmbH If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1956-maserati-a6g54-2000-coupe-by-allemano-02
When considering the fruits of the golden age of automotive coachbuilding, style usually steals the spotlight: Well-heeled clients could, and often would, express themselves with extravagant one-of-a-kind bodywork expertly rendered in hand-hammered aluminum and steel. This 1956 Maserati A6G/54 2000, with its two-tone body by Allemano of Turin, is indeed a shapely coupe—a beautiful rendition of a post-war Italian gran turismo, with clean lines and an airy cabin courtesy of thin roof pillars and an abundance of glass. What sets this coupe apart from the 20 other examples bodied by Allemano, however, is the extensive list of special requests made by its first owner, Richard “Dick” Cicurel to prepare the car specifically for road rally competition. In correspondence with Maserati dated 27 April 1956, Cicurel, an American businessman and amateur racer living at the time in Paris, outlined features he requested in his coupe, including provisions for a map light and an exterior trouble light, a larger rearview mirror for improved visibility, a larger fuel tank with racing-type gas cap, a hole in the dashboard suitable for mounting a Halda Speedpilot analog rally computer, and even undercoated and insulated inner fenders to reduce noise—all this in addition to numerous items he had already relayed to Allemano directly. In total, Cicurel customized his order with about 50 special requests; some, like the Marchal fog lights and a competition-spec differential, were obvious add-ons, but others, like dual fold-down armrests for the map-wielding passenger/navigator, tell of his close attention to detail in preparing for the rigors of rallying. While the A6G and its variants have an extensive record in road racing, this is the only example of the car known to have been built by Maserati specifically with rallying in mind. Build information on file indicates that this Maserati, initially chassis number 2144, was completed on 30 July 1956 and registered by Cicurel the following month. At the time, it was the most expensive Maserati road car ever sold. Factory records, copies of which are on file, detail both the build process and the correction of various issues post-delivery. He is said to have used the car in several rallies—putting its competition-derived 2.0-liter inline-six, with dual ignition, twin overhead cams, and triple side-draft Weber carburetors to the test—before it was damaged in an accident. Cicurel then returned the car to the factory for repairs, after which it was assigned the chassis number 2147, and appeared in period Maserati promotional materials. Records indicate that the car was then sold in early 1957 to Senator Francesco Tenerelli of Milan, beginning a chain of Italian owners. In 1988, the car was acquired by Peter Kaus, joining his important Rosso et Bianco Collection in Germany. It then joined the stable of Evert Louwman in the Netherlands in 2004, where it remained until 2006. Its next Dutch owner commissioned the wonderful total restoration the car still wears today. In addition to its two-tone red and black livery, its rally-ready features were restored and remain in place, just as Cicurel had so exactingly specified back in 1956. It was issued a FIVA Identity Card in 2012 (which remained valid through 2022), a copy of which is on file. It has also been exhibited selectively, including at the Maserati Club Elegance in Modena in 2009, where it earned Best of Show, and at the 2012 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. The Maserati was purchased by the consignor in 2024. Shortly thereafter, the engine then in the car (number 2180) was removed and reunited with its original chassis, which is also owned by the consignor. Phil Reilly & Co. of Penngrove, California, then installed engine number 2146, a 2.0-liter unit of the correct type, into this chassis. The engine and gearbox were tuned and adjusted as needed to ensure proper operation as outlined by invoices on file, with work completed in July 2025. Specified by a dedicated driver who knew exactly what he wanted, this unique Allemano-bodied Maserati has benefited from the stewardship of dedicated collectors for much of its life. Full of fascinating details, and finished in a striking bicolor livery, chassis 2147’s previous restoration presents very well today. Now ready for its next sporting caretaker, this Maserati is sure to be welcomed at concours d’elegance. It is also eligible for—and indeed, particularly well-suited to take part in—any number of prestigious vintage rallying and touring events worldwide. 1956 Maserati A6G/54 2000 Coupe by Allemano RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The notice and take down procedure is described here: https://www.speedholics.com/copyright When considering the fruits of the golden age of automotive coachbuilding, style usually steals the spotlight: Well-heeled clients could, and often would, express themselves with extravagant one-of-a-kind bodywork expertly rendered in hand-hammered aluminum and steel. - 1988-cizeta-moroder-v16t
A CAR IS BORN You can count on one hand, and quite likely on just one finger, the number of automobiles that made their global debut to the sound of a musical track composed specifically for that occasion—and by an award-winning composer and producer, no less. Then again, only a single model was ever built with the backing of the “Father of Disco” himself: The Cizeta-Moroder V16T. The V16T was in every respect a product of its place and time. Lamborghini test driver and development engineer Claudio Zampolli had relocated to Los Angeles in the 1980s, where he started a successful business servicing exotic vehicles. But his dreams did not end there: Determined to build his own supercar, Zampolli teamed up with music producer and composer Giorgio Moroder in the late 1980s and embarked on a journey to create a machine like nothing that had ever been seen before. Moroder, for his part, was at the peak of his game, having already worked with many of the best-selling artists of the day and with three Academy Awards and four Grammy awards to his credit. Moroder met Zampolli at his Los Angeles exotic car repair shop, and their shared interest in sports cars led to discussions on creating a new supercar. Zampolli wanted to build something that would grab headlines, and he knew that an innovative V-16 was the answer. Inspired by the engine layout of the Lamborghini Miura, Zampolli’s creation featured a transverse-mounted 6.0-liter V-16 with a five-speed manual gearbox. The stunning bodywork was penned by legendary designer Marcelo Gandini, who is also known for designing the Miura, Lamborghini Countach, Lancia Stratos, and countless other iconic cars. Cizeta-Moroder V16T chassis number 001, was first shown to the public at a glamorous unveiling event held in Los Angeles on 5 December 1988. Jay Leno hosted the dramatic evening, and Moroder even composed an original song for the event titled, fittingly, "A Car is Born." Chassis 001 later was displayed at the 1989 Los Angeles and Geneva Motor Shows, introducing Cizeta-Moroder to the world. Finished in pearl white with a red leather interior, the prototype car was fully functional. Many subtle differences were made to the production V16T, however, making chassis 001 unique in its own right. Some of the exterior differences include significantly larger side air intakes with more strakes, a diagonal crease in the lower bodywork tying into the rear bumper design, different turn signals and fog lamps, and different side mirrors. Chassis 001 also has a completely unique interior, with the dashboard, central tunnel, steering wheel, door panels, and seats all different from those of the production V16T. MORODER’S OWN V16T Ultimately, only nine production examples of the V16T (plus the prototype, for a total of 10) were built due to production challenges and the sheer complexity of the cars. Moroder’s partnership with Claudio Zampolli dissolved after the creation of the first prototype due to frustrations over delays, and the Moroder name was dropped from the production cars, which were badged only as Cizetas. Thus, in addition to its design differences, this car, chassis 001, is the only example to bear the Cizeta-Moroder name. Giorgio Moroder retained ownership of the car after its show duties ended, and he kept it in storage before eventually deciding to have it fully recommissioned. On the recommendation of Jay Leno, chassis 001 was shipped to Bruce Canepa of Scotts Valley, California, where a full restoration began. Canepa’s team found that, even though it was a functional prototype, there were some details which needed to be improved before it saw serious use. For example, additional heat shielding was added around the fuel tanks, and the car was mechanically sorted. It was then tested by the Canepa team after restoration to ensure it was ready to return to roadworthiness; today, it still stuns audiences, just as it did in 1988. The V16T remained with Moroder until 2022, when it was acquired by the present consignor. Under his care, the car was exhibited at the 2024 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance as part of the special Wedge Shaped Concept Cars & Prototypes class. Prior to this, it benefited from over $13,000 in mechanical and cosmetic service, including selective bodywork refinishing, the fabrication and fitment of period-correct logos and badging, and more, all with the goal of returning it to its correct original appearance. The Cizeta-Moroder V16T is a seldom-seen but incredibly interesting supercar, and it is also one of very few post-war 16-cylinder vehicles put into production. Representing the realization of Claudio Zampolli’s dream, and bearing the imprint and name of one of the 20th century’s most important music industry figures, this is a truly fascinating machine—historically, mechanically, and, needless to say, visually. Chassis 001, Giorgio Moroder’s personal car and the most famous example of the model—as well as the only chassis to wear the Cizeta-Moroder nameplate—is in even more rarified company. Now offered by only its second owner from new, and having benefited from comprehensive restoration work, this is a truly spectacular opportunity for collectors. 1988 Cizeta Moroder V16T RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1964-ac-cobra-289-02
Of all the great 1960s sports cars, few are as influential or as infamous as the legendary Shelby Cobra. A fortunate partnership between AC and their lightweight British sports car and Le Mans-winning driver Carroll Shelby resulted in the latest Ford lightweight V-8 sitting in the European fettled chassis of the Ace. The result of this transplant contributed enormously to Ford’s motorsport dominance of International Sports Car racing during the late 1960s. European chassis dynamics partnered with the power of the new V-8 meant that in competition trim, Cobras achieved an impressive record. The 260ci (4.2-litre) prototype first ran in January 1962, with production commencing later that year. Exclusively for the USA initially, Cobras - minus engines - were sent from England to be finished off by Shelby in California, and it was not until late in 1963 that AC Cars in Thames Ditton got around to building the first fully finished cars to European specification. After 75 cars had been built, the 289ci (4.7-litre) unit was standardised in 1963. Rack-and-pinion steering was the next major up-date; then in 1965 a new, stronger, coil-suspended chassis was introduced to accommodate Ford's 427ci (7.0-litre) V8, an engine that in race trim was capable of producing well in excess of 400bhp. Wider bodywork, extended wheelarch flares and a bigger radiator intake combined to create the definitive - and much copied - Cobra 427 look. Owing to its astounding competition history and unique chassis designation, ‘HEM-6’ is undoubtably one of the world’s most recognisable AC Cobras extant. Campaigned in period by a succession of accomplished and notable sports-car drivers, it remains highly eligible and competitive to this day. Partaking in the RAC Tourist Trophy in 1964 with Salvadori behind the wheel, the first TT Celebration some 34 years later at the inaugural Goodwood Revival in 1998, and most recently in 2025, ‘HEM-6’ has achieved four podium finishes in the last six years alone, including victory in 2021. Built by AC Cars to competition specification with cut-back doors and FIA-compliant flared wheel arches, this RHD 289 Cobra was to be supplied, minus an engine and transmission, to British privateer, C.T. “Tommy” Atkins, of High Efficiency Motors. It is understood it was designated ‘HEM-6’ as the sixth car prepared by H.E.M; '6' was entered by Atkins into the 1964 season. A Brooklands regular before the Second World War, and competitor on both two wheels and four, C.T. “Tommy” Atkins sought to continue his motor racing endeavours post-war with the foundation of High Efficiency Motors. Under Atkins’ stewardship, High Efficiency Motors entered a Cooper-Climax T43 into the Formula Two category at select rounds of the Formula One World Championship in 1958. Following the team’s progression into Formula One in 1959, Atkins enlisted Roy Salvadori, already a proven talent who would go on to win Le Mans outright for Aston Martin that same year. After withdrawing from formula-spec racing at the end of 1960, Atkins redirected his team’s attention to sports cars, marrying a Maserati powertrain to a Cooper-Monaco chassis for Salvadori to drive in domestic events. Following delivery of his factory-built Jaguar E-type Lightweight in 1963, Atkins once again called upon Salvadori, who drove the car to 3rd in the Goodwood Tourist Trophy, finishing behind Graham Hill and Mike Parkes respectively. Together with Salvadori, Atkins entered his newly acquired AC Cobra (HEM-6) into competition for the following 1964 season, debuting the car in the British Grand Prix support race at Brands Hatch that July. The Cobra arrived at Brands Hatch in bare aluminium, wearing the number 31 on its unpainted bodywork. Salvadori finished third having started from pole position, marking the beginning of ‘HEM-6’s’ illustrious competition career. The first weekend of August 1964 saw Brands Hatch host the Guards International Trophy, open to both prototype and grand touring sports cars. Still in possession of his Maserati-powered Cooper-Monaco, Atkins entered both classes, assigning Roy Salvadori to the prototype entry and handing Cobra duties to the young Chris Amon. One of the most accomplished drivers of the era, Chris Amon would not only maintain a seat in Formula One between 1963-1977 but achieve major endurance racing success in the process. In 1966, under the banner of Shelby American and Ford, he claimed overall victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the #2 GT40, arguably history’s most celebrated Le Mans victory. The following year, as a works Ferrari driver, he and Lorenzo Bandini led a dominant 1–2–3 finish at the Daytona 24 Hours. Goodwood’s Tourist Trophy took place at the end of August 1964. Open only to GT cars, Roy Salvadori would drive for Atkins once again, with the car now repainted in a medium green with a bright red nose band. Sadly, and unbeknownst to the pair at the time, a clutch issue on lap 80 would not only mean retirement from the race but bookend a multi-year professional partnership between Atkins and Salvadori. C.T. “Tommy” Atkins tragically passed away in 1965, at which point ‘HEM-6’ was acquired by Graham Warner’s Chequered Flag Ltd of Chiswick, London and road registered for the first time as GPG 4C. The car was repainted in white with a black stripe and nose to match the team’s colours and fitted with a Holman-Moody engine. In the capable hands of Roy Pike, Roger Mac and Bob Bondurant, ‘HEM-6’ won the Sussex Trophy and achieved first in class in the Whitsun Trophy at Goodwood. The Cobra also competed in the Tourist Trophy at Oulton Park and the Redex Trophy at Brands Hatch, where Bondurant finished third in class. Throughout the 1965 season, ‘HEM-6’ recorded four major victories or class wins, along with numerous podiums and club-level successes. When Chequered Flag offered the Cobra for sale, it was listed at £3,650 and described as “acknowledged to be the fastest and best Cobra in the country.” The car was purchased by Keith and Wendy Hamblin, who campaigned it at club level throughout the latter part of the decade. In 1970, ‘HEM-6’ passed to Shaun Jackson, who repainted it red with a distinctive gold stripe extending over the nose, evoking the likes of Alan Mann's racecars. After two competitive seasons, Jackson sold the car to Mick Hill, who went on to record numerous club victories during the following year. Alistair Walker purchased the car in 1973, before passing it on to the Brian Classic dealership the following year, where it was acquired by Martin Hilton. Hilton once again repainted the Cobra, this time in an attractive dark blue with a white stripe running laterally across the nose. He then entrusted Mathwall Engineering to rebuild the engine to Gurney-Weslake specification. In 1978, ‘HEM-6’ was bought by Peter Agg. Agg decided to rebuild the car in its entirety and return it to his favourite of its former colours in the process. CP Autokraft was tasked with applying new body panels and restoring the car’s red and gold livery, a process that can be observed throughout a great many chronologically arranged documentative photographs. Agg’s ownership spanned just under two decades, during which time ‘HEM-6’ continued to appear in competition. Following an accident at Silverstone, the car was restored once more before Agg decided to part ways with it, consigning it to Brooks’ London sale in 1995, where it was acquired by its current custodial family. Over the past thirty years, ‘HEM-6’ has enjoyed an unbroken campaign, recording hundreds of appearances and earning recognition across Europe’s foremost events. Throughout this period, the Cobra was comprehensively maintained by leading specialists, ensuring its continued competitiveness. ‘HEM-6’ is perhaps best known to contemporary motorsport fans for its appearances at the Goodwood Revival, where the RAC hosts the Tourist Trophy Celebration, open to GT cars reminiscent of those that competed in period. Having taken part in the very first TT Celebration in 1998, driving duties have since been shared with the likes of Marino Franchitti, Darren Turner, Jake Hill, Gerhard Berger, Brian Redman and Jack Brabham achieving multiple podium finishes and taking victory in 2021. Accompanied by a vast amount of history documentation, invoices, publications and original period photographs depicting the car’s career from the offset, ‘HEM-6’ remains one of the most beloved and favoured competition 289 Cobras extant and likely the most competed. Having been driven by a number of renowned and globally recognised sports car drivers and cared for by a lineage of enthusiastic and passionate owners, this 289 AC Cobra, affectionally ‘HEM-6’, represents a hugely significant opportunity for the next custodian to ensure immediate competitiveness at the world’s most prestigious historic motor racing events. 1964 AC Cobra 289 D.K. The notice and take down procedure is described here: https://www.speedholics.com/copyright Of all the great 1960s sports cars, few are as influential or as infamous as the legendary Shelby Cobra. - 1978-alfa-romeo-alfasud-sprint
A rare opportunity to acquire what is believed by the Alfa Romeo Owners Club to be the earliest surviving Alfa Romeo Alfasud Sprint currently on Britain's roads. This remarkable 1978 example has outstanding originality and has had a sympathetic, award-winning restoration. First registered in April 1978, this original UK-supplied right-hand-drive Sprint represents one of the purest surviving examples of Giorgetto Giugiaro's elegant sporting coupé. This Alfa became the focus of a long-term restoration project driven by a passion for the Alfasud's unique character and engineering. Commencing in 2022, the work was entrusted to the award-winning Wraith Motors of East Barnet, who stripped the car to its bare shell before undertaking a ground-up rebuild. The body was found to be exceptionally sound. Only the rear valance required replacement, with the remainder of the shell understood to retain its original factory metalwork. This level of originality is exceptionally rare among early Sprints and speaks volumes about the car's survival. Finished in striking Giallo Pozzuoli Yellow, an original Alfa Romeo colour, the restoration was intentionally sympathetic rather than over-restored, preserving the authenticity and charm of the car while returning it to an exceptional standard. Considerable effort was invested in sourcing correct components from specialist suppliers, owners' clubs and enthusiast networks throughout the UK and Europe, including Italy and Greece. A comprehensive photographic record accompanies the restoration. The interior has been beautifully retrimmed by specialist craftsmen in Kent, with the seats rebuilt from their original frames and upholstered using carefully sourced materials replicating the factory brown vinyl and distinctive check-pattern cloth. The boot compartment, suspension, trim and numerous mechanical components have also been restored or refurbished. Showing just 52,000 recorded miles, the original matching-type 1.3-litre boxer engine is in lovely condition and has been well maintained. Renowned for its free-revving nature, distinctive flat-four soundtrack and eager performance, it remains one of the defining features of the Alfasud driving experience and perfectly complements the Sprint's light weight and renowned handling balance. The history field is made up of previous MOTs, V5, Haynes Manual, Press Articled, Invoices, Tax Discs, Spare Keys and more. Combining rarity, originality and historical significance, this beautifully restored Alfasud Sprint represents a unique opportunity to acquire one of the most important surviving examples of Alfa Romeo's groundbreaking sporting coupé. 1978 Alfa Romeo Alfasud Sprint Classic Connection If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The E30 was the second generation of BMW’s hugely successful ‘3 Series’ launched in 1982 as a replacement for the first generation ‘E21’ that had been in production since 1976. The E30 was an instant success and remains one of the most recognisable and revered motorcars ever created by the German manufacturer, with a production life spanning twelve years, concluding in 1994 with the introduction of the third generation 3 Series ‘E36’ Offered with a variety of engine configurations starting with the base model 316 and its four cylinder ‘M10’ 1600cc unit, to the flagship 325i with its powerful and robust ‘M20’ six cylinder unit, buyers had the choice of automatic and manual gearbox options with power delivered to the rear wheels on all models. With exceptional handling, superb build quality and lightweight construction, it was no surprise that the E30 was also highly successful in motor racing thanks to its development by BMW Motorsport GmbH who created the first ‘M3’, one of the most successful and popular sports cars of all time. This exceptional 325i Convertible was specified from new in UK RHD specification with desirable manual transmission, finished in Alpine White coachwork with Indigo Blue Leather sports seats and Navy Blue convertible roof, supplied by BMW main agents Fairfield of Essex and first registered on 1st August 1990 Acquired new as a company car by Lease Contracts on behalf of the original owner Mr S.G.Young who assigned his cherished registration ‘H1 SGY’ in November 1990, just four months after taking delivery. This desirable registration remains on the car to the current day and a brief inspection of all the side windows shows this registration number etched into the glass, a popular 1980s anti-theft deterrent. Maintained by Vines Of Gatwick and Derek Woodman Ltd for the first couple of years, the 325i was subsequently sold to the second and long-term owner via BMW main agents ‘Prestons’ on 18th December 1993. The comprehensive history file includes a copy of his purchase invoice and shows the car had covered 18,667 miles at the time The 325i Convertible was clearly cherished and enjoyed remaining with the second owner for the following thirty-three years, accruing an additional 40,692 miles during his ownership, bringing the total mileage to 59,359 miles as of April 2026 The original service book and comprehensive history file accompanying the car document regular servicing throughout by main agents and marque specialists, supported by a near complete set of MoT certificates until the car was placed in dry storage in late 2010 at approximately 58,685 miles where it would remain for the following thirteen years In March 2023 at 58,687 miles, the BMW removed from storage and benefitted from an extensive recommissioning programme at a cost of over £5500, invoices on file document the removal and rebuild of the fuel tank with new fuel pumps, gaskets and associated pipework. Further works included new cambelt, major service with all fluids replaced, new auxiliary belts, new distributor and rotor arm, new radiator, brake system rebuild with new discs, pads, wear sensors and new tires.
