  • 1967-chevrolet-yenko-super-camaro-450

In the muscle car wars of the late 1960s, rules were made to be broken—and few broke rules better than Don Yenko. In 1967, while General Motors held the line at 400 cubic inches for the new Camaro, Yenko had other ideas. Partnering with racer and tuner Dick Harrell, he created the Super Camaro 450: a factory-fresh SS/RS transformed into a street-legal brute packing Corvette’s 427 big block. Though extremely limited production resulted in just 54 Yenko Camaros being completed and sold in 1967, this example (YS-703) is a standout even within that elite group. Delivered new in Ermine White as a 396-equipped L78 SS/RS, this Camaro was shipped straight to Harrell’s Performance Center in East St. Louis, Illinois. There, the six-day transformation from stock to Super Camaro began: The original engine was yanked in favor of the fire-breathing L72 427, rated at 450 horsepower with 11:1 compression, a Holley 3910 four-barrel carburetor, aluminum intake, and free-flowing dual exhaust. Harrell further fortified the drivetrain with a Muncie M21 close-ratio four-speed, heavy-duty clutch, and 12-bolt Posi rear end with 3.73:1 gears. A larger radiator, metallic brakes, custom-tuned suspension, and performance extras like traction bars, tuned headers, lightweight 15-inch wheels, and an NHRA-certified scatter shield completed the Super Camaro 450 package. Despite its raw power, this car wore a gentleman’s suit. The Rally Sport trim—with hidden headlights and bright accents—was retained, making it one of the especially rare RS-equipped Yenkos. Inside, a walnut-grain steering wheel, center console, and AM push-button radio added comfort to the chaos under the hood. From the outside, only a Corvette-style “stinger” hood and subtle 427 badges hinted at what lurked beneath. Sold new on 1 August 1967 to Jay Kline Chevrolet in Minneapolis, Minnesota, YS-703—identified in Yenko inventory documents that accompany the sale—has long been cherished by top-tier collectors. Its prior owners roster reads like a who’s who of the muscle car scene: Kevin Suydam, Gary Holub, Wayne Schmeeckle, and Trans-Am racer Bill Ockerlund have each played a role in its story. As presented today, YS-703 wears a highly detailed, award-winning restoration executed under prior ownership by renowned Yenko Camaro authority Dave Tinnell of Dave’s Auto Service in Edmonton, Kentucky. Now offered from a private family collection of American sports cars in the Pacific Northwest, this Super Camaro remains among the finest examples of Yenko’s early work. Backed by a file of factory documentation and expert authentication, YS-703 is regarded as one of the most historically significant Yenkos in existence. 1967 Chevrolet Yenko Super Camaro 450 RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1958 Jaguar XK150

The Jaguar XK150 was introduced in the spring of 1957, as a replacement for the XK140 and was available as a fixed and drophead coupe. Whilst the 150 was similar in design to the outgoing model it was considerably more refined. A one-piece windscreen replaced the split screen and the wing line no longer dropped as much over the doors. The bonnet was widened, opened down to the wings and on the roadster, the bulkhead was moved back four inches to make the bonnet longer. In the interior, the XK140’s walnut dashboard was replaced by a leather trimmed unit. The launch specification of the XK 150 included SU carburettors, four-speed manual gearbox with overdrive, independent front suspension with wishbones, coil springs, torsion bars and anti-roll bar, rigid rear axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs, and four-wheel hydraulic disc brakes. Jaguar increased the engine power outputs and introduced the optional 150 “SE” variant, with the 3.4 SE developing 210 bhp enabling it to reach 60mph in just over 8 secs and onto a top speed of just over 130 mph. The Jaguar XK150 ‘SE”’ 3.4 Fixed Head Coupe offered here at Autostorico is finished in its original colour of Cotswold Blue with Grey leather interior. Having left the factory on 22nd April 1958, Chassis No: 824375 was supplied to its first owner via Henlys London and registered as 999 CAE. Passing through several owners during its earlier years it’s been well maintained with considerable documented history finally passing to its current owner a jaguar enthusiast in 2021. He undertook a no expense spared body off nut and bolt restoration carried out by marque specialist Ruston Engineering Ltd. Works included removing the engine, gearbox and stripping the whole body, before a bare metal respray. The car was also subject to a full mechanical overhaul including a complete engine rebuild. Other notable works included full re-wire, full interior re-trim including carpets, replace front and rear wheel bearings along with suspension bushes and joints, Brake overhaul and fitting new tyres. The car comes complete with an extensive history file including a current V5 registration document, heritage certificate and numerous invoices. 1958 Jaguar XK150 Autostorico Partners LLP If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1974 Maserati Merak 3000

The Maserati Merak, the faster, more fun, and perhaps even more handsome little brother of the Maserati Bora, comes from a family with unparalleled good genes. Where the Bora was equipped with a V8, the Merak opted for a lighter V6, which resulted in considerably better road holding. An elegant dancer against the heavyweight bodybuilder of the family. Let's take a moment to reflect on that impressive pedigree. The Merak is the masterpiece of none other than Giorgetto Giugiaro, the legend who was also responsible for icons such as the Saab 9000, BMW M1, Lotus Esprit, and yes, even the Nikon D8 camera. A resume to die for. But let's not digress. In front of you is a Merak, born in 1974, powered by a 3.0-liter engine that has its origins in the 2.7-liter SM engine. This beauty was originally delivered in Italy and has been in the proud possession of its current owner since 2014. The combination of the black exterior and the red interior is nothing short of breathtaking. As soon as you open the door and take a seat, the dashboard welcomes you with a design that looks suspiciously like that of an SM. The seating position is reminiscent of a real race car, but is surprisingly comfortable. And then, a look to the rear—and yes, a backseat! Admittedly, more suitable for hamsters than for people, but it is a true 2+2 so at home it is also justifiable! She has always been well maintained and is ready to conquer a new owner. 1974 Maserati Merak 3000 Cool Classic Club If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1950 Fiat Abarth 204 Sport

In 1948, Carlo Arbarth decided to make his own cars using the well-known defunct Cisitalia Automobili brand. The brand went bankrupt and with what was left of parts and knowledge, Abarth & C. produced its first real car. The 204 Abarth. Visually, the cars resembled a scaled-down version of the Cisitalia Grand Prix cars. The engine was derived from a Fiat 1089cc unit fitted with twin Webers and the car had to be fast on the track. Where this car has certainly made a name for itself. In the end, only five cars rolled off the production line and the dream to drive this car once, unfortunately, must really remain a dream. The fact is that, because there are only five and no one ever wants to sell them, it is almost impossible to get hold of this car. And should anyone ever decide to sell their 204, be ready to shell out a few million. So a Swedish coachbuilder decided it was time for a perfect recreation of this car in order to experience the fun that so many dream of. The car is built on the chassis of a Fiat 1100 E. The result? A car that is so incredibly well made and built that everything suggests that it is a real one. The similarities are almost 1 to 1 and even the bolts on the valve cover and the Webers are identical. It is a perfectly built car with an unprecedented driving experience. Driving 80 with this classic feels like 180. • 1996 Porsche 993 Targa Tiptronic S

The iconic Porsche 993 was introduced in 1994 as a replacement for the outgoing 964 model and was produced up until 1998. Regarded by many as the finest generation of 911, the 993 was the last to use the air cooled flat six engine. Available in three body styles; Coupe, Convertible and Targa with its sliding glass roof. The new car was the most sweepingly changed 911 ever. Gone were the nearly upright headlights that had accompanied the 911 for over thirty years. They were replaced with 959-like items in favour of better aerodynamics. The new style bumper and front wings gave the 993 a fresh look, without losing the identity of the 911. The 993 wore newly designed 16-inch wheels, wider rear arches and twin exhausts positioned on both the left and right of the rear bumper. Beneath the front bumper were ‘air-relief’ vents, to help air escape from the wheel wells and the chassis revisions were just as extensive. The 3.6-litre engine was modified to give 270 bhp which was coupled to Porsche’s new four-speed Tiptronic gearbox, giving the 993 a 0-60 mph of sub 7 secs and a top speed of 168 mph where permitted. The Porsche 993 Targa Tiptronic S offered here at Autostorico is finished in Artic silver metallic with Black leather interior. Supplied new by Stratstone Porsche Wilmslow in December 1996 this stunning 80,652 mile example, boasts a comprehensive service history carried out by a mix of Porsche main dealer and specialists. The most recent of which was carried out by RGA Porsche Centre at 79,948 miles including fitting a complete exhaust system. The car has also recently been to Center Gravity Atherstone for a full suspension setup and drives superbly. Specification highlights include; Panoramic Targa sunroof, 17” Alloy wheels, Air conditioning, Headlamp powerwash, Rear wiper, Electric windows, Power door mirrors, High level brake light in rear spoiler, Part electric seats and Blaupunkt Bremen audio system. Supplied with an extensive history file including a current V5 registration document, previous MOT’s, Original book pack Inc. service book and various other related invoices. A complete tool kit including tyre pump and first aid kit. 1996 Porsche 993 Targa Tiptronic S Autostorico Partners LLP If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1968 Alfa Romeo 1750 GT Am

The Alfa Romeo 1750 GT Am offered here was, according to the history handed down to us (all names are known), acquired in the early 70’s by Rosario, an Italian gentleman and rebuilt as a racing car with many original parts from Auto Delta. The GT Am was equipped with a narrow head 8V engine. Rosario and his teammate Romeo participated in various Group 2 races, including the 1974 Targa Florio. The car was originally delivered in red in 1968 and was later repainted in yellow by Rosario. The engine was also converted to 4V with fuel injection. Rosario used the GT Am until the end of the 70s. When Rosario died, his son Salvatore inherited the car. He completely disassembled the car to restore it. Since he finally lacked the financial means to complete the total restoration, the GT Am stood disassembled until 2006. Salvatore decided to sell it. The buyer, Antonio, also in Italy, completed the car again with the supplied parts and changed the engine back to the original narrow head without fuel injection. Among other things, the GT Am was painted white and wrapped with the Kent livery. Antonio took part in several Group 2 races: 2006 Rally Sprint Castello 1st Rally Automobili Club Palermo Rally Trapani-Erice Rally Cefalu-Gibilmanna Rally Castello di Venere 2008 Targa Florio Several times in the Peroni Championship Coppa Intereuropa Monza In 2009 the GT Am was purchased by a Swiss who completely rebuilt the car. Among other things, the engine was revised by none other than the well-known Alfa Romeo legend Facetti (ex Auto Delta). In 2012, it then participated in the 1000 km Coppa Intereuropa in Monza. The last entries of this beautiful Alfa Romeo GT Am were in 2016 very successful the Tour-Auto and Arosa ClassicCar. The car has current FiA papers, a technical passport and a Swiss road registration. The original registration papers from 1968 and license plates from Italy are present as well as photos from the time. This Alfa Romeo 1750 GT Am is in sensational, top restored condition and leaves nothing to be desired. The notice and take down procedure is described here: https://www.speedholics.com/copyright The Alfa Romeo 1750 GT Am offered here was, according to the history handed down to us (all names are known), acquired in the early 70’s by Rosario, an Italian gentleman and rebuilt as a racing car with many original parts from Auto Delta. • 1982-lamborghini-countach-lp-400s-series-3

The Countach was presented to the public at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1974. The name ‘Countach’ is derived from an exclamation in a dialect from the Piedmont region bordering Switzerland. The word Countach, which is not orthographically fixed, stands for an exclamation that combines astonishment and admiration and can be translated as ‘non plus ultra’ or ‘unsurpassable’. A total of 237 of the LP 400S were produced between 1978 and 1982, with the vehicle presented here belonging to the 3rd series, of which only 83 were built. According to this report by renowned expert Oliver Nameche, the vehicle presented here was delivered to an Italian discotheque owner in 1981 via Achilli Motors in Milan. As early as 1985, the car was converted to the then more powerful 5000 S engine at one of the most renowned Lamborghini dealerships in Italy. Over the years, the car was sold to a collector in Switzerland and in 2015 to its current owner in northern Germany. The car was extensively overhauled a few years ago and has only driven 2,534 km since then. The overall condition as well as the original interior are in a very attractive condition. The currently fitted rear wing can be easily removed if required. The scope of delivery also includes gold-coloured Bravo rims. With a total mileage of approx. 89,000 km and only three owners in total, this is a real collector’s item. 1982 Lamborghini Countach LP 400S Series 3 Thiesen Hamburg GmbH If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer.
