- 1987 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Zagato
The V8 Vantage Zagato was the ultimate iteration of the Aston Martin V8, clothed in a lightweight coachbuilt aluminium body by Zagato on a shortened version of the mighty Vantage 580X platform, featuring the 432bhp V580X drive train and over 100kgs weight saving over the standard Vantage, giving the Zagato scintillating performance Just 52 cars were constructed, including the pre-production ‘20010’ and prototype ‘20011’. Of the 50 ‘production’ cars only 27 were right-hand drive manual transmission models like this car. Of these cars only two were finished in Gladiator Red, this car is trimmed with red-piped Parchment leather while the other has a black interior, making both cars unique In an accompanying letter dated 31st March 1998, Stratton Motor Company states that it had collected the Zagato by transporter from Newport Pagnell on 12th November 1987 before selling it to a Mr Saunderson, who never took delivery. During subsequent changes of ownership, the car never left Stratton’s storage facility. When it was eventually registered in January 1990 to Mr Michael Fleming, the car had still not been used. Stratton’s later reacquired it. Their managing Director, Roger Bennington, concludes the letter by saying: ‘The only person to have driven this Zagato since leaving the factory is myself, on the occasional removal from storage to run the engine.’ Acquired in the mid 1990s by respected Aston Martin broker Andre Bloom on behalf of a client with a significant private collection of sports cars, the Zagato remained under his careful custody with regular maintenance carried out ‘in house’ by workshop personnel and resident fully qualified Aston Martin mechanical engineer in order to ensure the car has remained ‘on the button’ despite its incredibly low mileage. This has included regularly running the engine up to full operating temperature and yearly replacement of all fluids, filters and the battery With just four recorded keepers from new, we are delighted to offer this special Aston on behalf of the vendor who has owned the car for the past decade. The Zagato remains 100% factory correct, even down to retaining the protective wax coating sprayed over the engine bay before it left Newport Pagnell. With only 397 miles recorded, this rare and desirable Aston Martin is a timewarp example and arguably one of, if not the most original example of its type extant having been carefully stored in dehumidified professional storage for its entire life. Presented in effectively ‘as new’ condition and thus represents a unique opportunity for collectors to own this exceptional specimen of the flagship V8 Vantage model range in a unique colour combination, offered with owner’s handbook, V5 registration document and its Vehicle Storage Maintenance Log detailing dates and mileage of all works carried out from new 1987 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Zagato Dylan Miles Ltd If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. “Refill oil every 500 km” it says. “Change engine oil and top up all other oils every 4000 km” And finally it says “Renew transmission and rear axle oil every 10,000 km”. Right next to it there is a metal plate mounted with 6 screws on the engine bulkhead that lists all of the car's fuels and their name, viscosity and even their manufacturer. At least recommends. If you also come from the 50s or 60s, you probably still remember the brands and terms such as “Retinax”, “Donax”, “Rotella”, Spirax, Dentax or Energol? During these times, Alfa drivers greeted with spread fingers. The number of fingers showed the amount of cylinder head gaskets that were replaced...this was not due to the particular vulnerability of this component, but rather the department stores that were already flourishing at the time, such as Hertie and Merkur, which had a full range of no-name brands in their range for a fraction of the money . And so, as an Alfa rookie, you thoughtlessly took a canister of antifreeze otherwise fantastic Alfa-4 cylinder - had dissolved. As the writer of these lines and the Alfista on fire at the time, this work soon seemed so familiar to me that I wished early on that the manufacturer Alfa Romeo should urgently print this routine operation on the above-mentioned sticker... something like this “every 5000 km Replace cylinder head gasket”, with simultaneous recommendation of the appropriate antifreeze. There is not much to say about our Giulietta, dear reader. “She” was first registered in Belgium in May 1959. We have a copy of the new car invoice from the concessionaire to the first owner. The invoice states the chassis and engine numbers in detail, which in turn makes our work easier - it is “matching”, at least in this essential point. It was carefully restored around 25-30 years ago and is in excellent, rust-free condition, both technically and visually, with wonderful surfaces and curves on both sides. The captivatingly beautiful shape of this classic also makes it easy for the viewer to keep their smile while walking around this beauty. One is tempted to whistle at her appreciatively, she is so beautiful. The world-famous scene with Anita Ekberg from the film “The Sweet Life” comes to mind, in which she only needed this one scene, barely two minutes long, to become a world star. She became, which always sounds so corny, but in this case is to be taken literally, overnight the sex symbol of the 50s and 60s. The erotic dream of an entire generation of men. The fountain bath became iconographic. And, much to the chagrin of the Roman city administration, it found countless tourist imitators for years to come. The Alfa Romeo Spider repeats this effect in an absolutely likeable way, without ever seeming frivolous. Its lightness, its momentum and at the same time grandeur give this all-time classic a never-ending beauty that has now achieved absolute cult status in almost 70 years and gives this relatively simple convertible a place among the few great designer creations in the automotive world secured. 1959 Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1300 Spider DLS Automobile If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. Per the records of Maserati Classiche, chassis number 2802 was completed in July 1963, fitted with Borrani disc wheels, and finished in Rosso Rubino Chiaro paint over an interior upholstered with Neutral leather by Connolly. As one of the later production examples, this 3500 GTi was equipped with fuel injection, disc brakes, and the long-legged five-speed ZF gearbox, features that greatly enhance the model’s drivability. This car was delivered new to an owner in Italy in February 1964. After passing through a collection in Belgium, the Maserati came into German ownership by the late 2000s, having been repainted in the elegant colour of dark blue metallic. In the early 2010s an owner based in Cologne retained the restoration specialists Linnartz & Peschl to overhaul a number of systems, which eventually evolved into a technical rebuild. Sold in 2013 to the current owner, an enthusiast based in Munich, the GTi retains Neutral leather seat upholstery that may very well be original. Among other trophies, the Maserati was awarded the Best of Classic at the 2015 Fuerstenfeld Concours d’Elegance, Best in Class Italian at the 2018 Concours Retro Classics Bavaria, and both 1st overall and Best Design at the Motorworld Munich Concorso Sportivo in July 2025. The 3500 GTi evidences stampings matching the Maserati Classiche records, suggesting the car retains its original engine and Touring coachwork. Elegantly finished, and retaining a great deal of its original character, this modestly driven 3500 GTi would make an outstanding addition to any sporting collection. 1963 Maserati 3500 GTi by Touring RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1962 Shelby Cobra 260 CSX 2035
CSX 2035 as invoiced to Shelby American on October 25, 1962, equipped with aluminum rocker arm covers, wind-wings, sun visors, front and rear bumpers, chrome exhaust tips, and a heater. It was shipped to Los Angeles, where SS Research & Development sold the car to renowned racer John Razelle of Seattle. Razelle would race the car from new, with success. During its early racing career, the car achieved notable victories, including breaking the record at the Mount Douglas Hillclimb by over three seconds. Razelle and the iconic white Cobra became a dominant presence at the Westwood Racing Circuit in British Columbia, securing a commanding win by over twelve seconds in 1964. Over multiple seasons, the car continued its winning streak in various SCCA circuit and hill climb events. In 2021, the car was acquired by its current owner, who commissioned a comprehensive restoration by Pursuit Racing to meet FIA pre-1963 specifications. During the restoration the bodywork was carried out by marque specialist Brooklands Motor Company, the engine was built by RAC TT-winning engine builder Peter Knight to the highest pre-63 spec, and complete mechanical and race preparation by Pursuit Racing. - 1984-renault-5-turbo-2
In 1980, Renault introduced their new R5 Turbo as a pure 'homologation special' to compete in 'Group 4' racing and international rallies. The 5 Turbo was based on the production Renault 5 Alpine, but Renault Sport engineers scrapped the standard front-engine, front-wheel drive layout in favour of a mid-engine, rear drive setup. In 1981, Jean Ragnotti and his co-driver, Jean-Marc Andrie, won the Monte Carlo Rally outright for Renault, and the following year Ragnotti won the Tour de Corse. In 1984, 'Group B' homologation was sought for the Renault Maxi 5 Turbo to enable it to contest the World Rally Championship and the following year, Ragnotti added another Tour de Corse win with the Maxi 5 turbo. After the first batch of 400 road cars had been made to satisfy 'Group 4' homologation volume requirements, a second generation, known as the 'Turbo 2' was to follow. Offered here at the NEC Classic Car Show 2025 is a remarkably well preserved, low-mileage Renault 5 Turbo 2. Finished in its factory colour scheme of Pearl White paintwork with brown leather and Alcantara interior, this is a standout example of Renault’s rally-bred, mid-engined hot-hatch. Supplied new to Germany, Turbo 2 chassis #943 was first owned by a Renault dealer principal who fitted a number of rally-inspired upgrades for a more purposeful appearance and soundtrack. These included an aluminium Matter roll cage, a Devil exhaust and Gotti split-rim wheels. Within the document file is a Heritage Certificate confirming that the chassis and engine numbers match, and closer inspection reveals that both the Matter roll cage and the spare wheel are correct for its model year. Today, the Turbo 2 displays just 25,346km (15,750 miles). It presents sharply, with gleaming Pearl paintwork, uniform shut lines, correct decals, an extremely well kept cabin, and we are informed that it performs just as well as it looks. Maintained by knowledgeable marque specialists, the car had a recent full inspection confirming its excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition. Recent work includes correctly refurbished dampers, fitting an equal length manifold, new tyres, and replacement fuel lines. The accompanying history file is comprehensive including its Heritage Certificate, invoices for professional detailing, numerous invoices for maintenance over the years, MOT Certificates, various supporting documents, and a V5C registration document ready for transfer or export. It is now eligible for historic vehicle status. A road-going version of Renault’s 'Group B' thoroughbred, the Turbo 2 is an essential addition to any collection of landmark performances cars. With the market trend favouring the very best examples, this superbly presented little Renault is absolutely worthy of serious consideration. 1984 Renault 5 Turbo 2 Iconic Auctioneers Ltd If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. This 1977 Lotus Esprit S1 is one of 718 examples produced between 1976 and 1978 and is said to have undergone a mechanical and interior refurbishment that was started before the current owner’s 2017 purchase and completed the following year. Finished in red over beige leather upholstery, the car is powered by a mid-mounted 1,973cc inline-four mated to a five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes pop-up headlights, four-wheel disc brakes, independent suspension, single-piece bucket seats, power windows, and a heater. The vehicle was listed on BaT in February 2018, and work in 2021 consisted of rebuilding the carburetors, changing the oil, aligning the doors, and replacing the starter, temperature sender, front springs, and side mirrors. This Esprit S1 is offered again at no reserve on dealer consignment with a Lotus Certificate of Vehicle Provenance, service records, and a clean California title. The wedge-shaped fiberglass body was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro and is mounted to a steel backbone chassis. This example wears a repaint in red carried out under prior ownership, and exterior details include pop-up headlights, a front air dam, replacement side mirrors, a rear hatch, dual fuel-filler caps, and twin exhaust outlets. The doors were aligned in 2021. Polished 14? Wolfrace alloy wheels are wrapped in 195/60 front and 225/70 rear Hankook Optimo H724/5 tires, and a spare on a matching wheel is secured in the front trunk. The fixed-back bucket seats were reupholstered in beige leather during the refurbishment, and color-coordinated carpeting was fitted. Additional appointments include a heater, power windows, a wood shift knob, and a rear-window defroster. Cracked driver-seat upholstery is depicted in the gallery. The two-spoke steering wheel frames green-dial Veglia instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, fuel level, and voltage. The five-digit odometer shows 24k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. - 1968 Porsche 911
THE 911T IN THE RANGE The Porsche 912 was considered the entry-level model in the 911 range. But for enthusiasts, the 6-cylinder is a must. Porsche chose to insert a model between the two. The 912 had 90 bhp, the first 911 had 130 bhp and the 911T will have 110 bhp. Add to that a lower level of equipment and you have a 911 that is finally affordable. In terms of styling, the 911T has everything its big sisters have. It is available in a wide range of colours and with the famous Fuchs wheels. A 911 FOR RACING? Contrary to what you might think, many Porsche 911 2.0 T were bought for racing. The reason is simple: it's a simple car by design, which can easily be prepared for the track. Already light from the outset because it was lightly equipped, it offered good value for money for this type of use. The 2.0-litre 911Ts only went on sale from the end of 1967 until 1969. That year, the engine capacity was increased to 2.2 litres. While the 911 is one of the winningest cars in history, privateers deserve much of the credit. The Porsche factory was so busy building its purpose-built racers during the 1960s that they had little interest in fully backing the 911 for competition. Fortunately, those in Stuttgart were savvy enough to recognize that people were winning races in Porsche 911s even without factory help. By giving privateers some factory-conceived upgrade options, Porsche could increase the odds of victory for their customers and the chances of free publicity for the company. Starting in 1966 with the arrival of the lightweight, performance-tuned 911S, Porsche made Rally Kit packages available for aspiring privateer racers. Teams could pick and choose from a selection of competition parts available straight from the manufacturer. The standard Rally Kit provided anti-roll bars, upgraded brake pads and even endurance-minded options like a dead pedal for the driver. Power enhancements in the form of better venturis and jets for the carburetors and a racing exhaust could bump a 160-horsepower stock Porsche 911S to 175 Hp and beyond—all from two liters of displacement. With rally in mind, protective items like stone guards were also available. Thanks to these tweaks, it’s no surprise that in 1967 the Porsche 911 recorded a slew of victories all over the planet in the hands of privateer racers. In 1968, the 911 T as well as the 911 S were reclassified from the Touring Car category to Group 3 (Stock GT). Using the lessons learned with the mythical R, Porsche decided to offer a more radical version of its 911 T. The T was the obvious choice, as its body was already 52kg lighter than the S equivalent. Although officially referred to as a 911 T for homologation purposes, the upgraded racer was commonly known as the 911 T/R and to make it more competition-oriented, the car was stripped out of any kind of sound deadening, reducing the total weight by a further 25kg. Customers had a choice of two engine specifications. The first was the 160 bhp flat six as fitted in the 911 S road car. Altogether more potent was the Type 901/22 as originally fitted in the 906 sports racers. Among the differences compared to the production engine was the use of twin-spark ignition. To provide additional engine cooling, a separate oil- cooler was mounted in the front right wheel well. A lighter flywheel, a stronger clutch and a limited slip differential was also part of the package, while different gear ratios were also available. The competition package was available for DM 5,150 and it is believed that around 35 cars were upgraded to T/R specification. Campaigned exclusively by privateers, the cars were remarkably successful, scoring many Group 3 class wins in World Championship rounds. Erwin Kremer, Rolf Kelleners and Willy Kauhsen also piloted a 911 T/R to an outright win in the Spa 24 Hours. The Porsche 911 hit the jackpot at the Rallye Monte Carlo in 1968. The team of Vic Elford/David Stone captured the overall victory, and Pauli Toivonen/Martti Tiukkanen placed second overall. Porsche would repeat the overall win at the Monte in 1969 and 1970, adding considerably to the legacy of the early 911. Development of the 911 continued and for the 1969 season, Porsche introduced the S/T model powered by a larger, 2.3-litre version of the flat six engine. Our car was built in the perfect spirit of the private customer preparations of the time. The owner took care to assemble an exact replica of the many Porsche 911 T/Rs that raced in 1968. In 2012 he bought a 1968 Porsche 911T MY from a French collector, which was delivered to Sonauto (Porsche's French distributor) in September 1967 with color code 6809 'Tangerine'. From that date onwards, he entrusted the entire job to Historic Automobile Racing, a recognized specialist in rally Porsches based in Chaneins (France). The extensive file accompanying the car shows the quality of the work carried out on the body, engine and running gear. Following a complete stripping, the structure was reinforced and repainted in an emblematic color for the period: Light Ivory. For the engine, the sportiest option was chosen: a light block with dual ignition, similar to the engines used in the 906 prototypes. Assembled in this way, the car will take part in rallies such as the Tour Auto, as well as circuit races such as Le Mans Classic, where it will be entered on the Porsche grid. Freshly serviced, the car is sold with a valid FIA PTH and its racing accessories up to date: ready to take on the special stages of the next Tour Auto, for example. The car comes with a set of parts, including a long gearbox for Le Mans, 4 wheels, transmissions and various accessories. 1968 Porsche 911 Historic Cars If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1952 Aston Martin DB 2 Vantage
The prototype DB2 appeared as one of three Aston Martins at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1949. The production model of the DB2 was first shown at the New York Auto Show in April 1950. Although demand was high, examples 2 to 4 were reserved for use in the 1950 24 Hours of Le Mans. The cars took the first two places and were entered again in 1951. The success brought fame to David Brown’s ascendant company and convinced its management to build a series of cars specifically designed for racing, starting with the DB3. Only 238 Vantage specification cars of the Aston Martin DB 2 were produced between 1950 and 1953. According to the available documentation, the car presented here was completely “frame-off” restored with great attention to detail by an Aston Martin specialist down to the last screw. In order to improve the driving characteristics, the technology was extensively optimised, taking into account the originality. A comprehensive photo documentation of the restoration process, a Heritage Certificate and the Built sheet are available. The vehicle convinces by a very high restoration standard with outstanding driving characteristics. Equipment 4-speed manual gearbox, 3 Weber twin carburettors, sports suspension, optimised rear axle with limited slip differential, aluminium brake drums, reinforced spoke wheels in 5″ x 16″ inch, and much more.
