It’s 1985. Ferrari unveils the successor to the beloved 308 – and does so with flair. The 328 is a carefully considered evolution: a car that strikes the perfect balance between classic lines and modern reliability. More power, increased displacement, a sharper chassis, and that same irresistible presence. The 328 is the final model in Ferrari’s transverse V8 generation to feature a five-speed manual gearbox – before the switch to fuel injection, paddle shifters, and electronic driver aids. Pure, unfiltered, and authentic. The 328 GTS was born in an era when the driver was still in full control. Every gear shift was a conscious decision. No filters, no electronics between you and the machine. Just you, a gated shifter, and the glorious roar of the 3.2-litre V8 behind you. Our 328? It’s one of a kind. Delivered new in the Netherlands by Kroymans Ferrari in Hilversum – the original dealer sticker still graces the rear bumper. Finished in iconic Rosso Corsa with a Tan leather interior – a combination to make any enthusiast’s heart race. Mileage? Just 111,800 km. Matching numbers and, of course, a manual gearbox. Driving it is an experience in itself: the click-clack of the metal shift gate, the eagerness of the V8 at higher revs, the way the steering tells you what the front wheels are thinking – this isn’t just driving, it’s how driving was meant to be. In a world full of turbos, screens, and driver assists – this is your escape. Your return to a time when a Ferrari felt like a living, breathing thing. Looking for an investment? An icon? Or simply the most beautiful 1980s Ferrari with Dutch heritage? This is your chance. Chassis AR167256 displays a condition rarely seen, one which should be considered a blueprint for originality and preservation. Purchased new by Richard W. Further evidence that this car was a cherished by its original owner is a AutoRama event like photo found in the glove box and dated Feb 1971. The original SALCHI paint sticker remains attached and the PininFarina body number “263” is found stamped on the hood, rear bonnet, and trunk floor. All glass is original as is the soft top and plastic window which shows its age. The originality theme continues on the interior which remains in stunning condition with firm seat padding wrapped in excellent vinyl, well preserve carpeting/mats, and vinyl door panels. Perhaps the most impressive details are found in the engine bay which retains original clamps, wiring, and hardware including the Lucas equipment, SOLEX carburetor, airbox, I.P.R.A radiator and 8/60 dated ZF steering rack. The underside of the car remains intact with original undercoating and hardware. The floors remain excellent with abnormally straight and solid jack points at all four corners. 1961 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider Driver Source Fine Motorcars If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1995 Ferrari 512 M
With its characteristic design with elongated cooling inlets on the side interrupted by longitudinal bars and the wide tail, the Testarossa and its descendants polarize like few other Ferrari vehicles. Hardly anyone would have predicted in 1984 that this spectacular sports car would be built more or less unchanged for twelve years. In 1996, after around 8,000 units, the mid-engine was discontinued; the successor, called the 550 Maranello, had the twelve-cylinder installed at the front. This means that the Ferrari 512M - apart from the few super sports cars such as La Ferrari, Enzo, etc. - was the last 12-cylinder mid-engine sports car built by Ferrari that was produced in series. Let that sink in. The Ferrari Testarossa was presented at the Paris Motor Show in 1984. Its design took over many aspects from its predecessor, the 512 BBi, but improved on some. Visually, there were hardly any similarities between the 512 BBi and the Testarossa. The Ferrari, designed by Sergio Pininfarina and Leonardo Fioravanti, shaped sports car design until the 1990s. With a width of almost two meters, it set a new record and, together with a height of just 1.13 meters, it formed the basis for an extremely flat-looking car that looked fast even when standing still. The design of the side air intakes was based on the water coolers, which were positioned on the outside, similar to a Formula 1 car. With an original 390 hp, the power of the still five-liter engine had increased again, and the aerodynamically favorable Testarossa ran at almost 300 km/h. In 1991, the Testarossa became the 512 TR, now with 428 hp and a few retouches to the body. In 1992 the interior was modified, further changes seemed unnecessary. In 1994 Ferrari announced the “F 512 M”. The “M” stood for “Modificata” and the mid-engine sports car had indeed been “modified” in many ways. Titanium connecting rods, a lighter crankshaft and forged aluminum pistons made it possible to increase the power of the twelve-cylinder engine to 440 hp in combination with an optimized combustion chamber design and a compression ratio increased to 10.4:1 (despite running on 95 octane). The power transmission was also adapted to the needs of 1990s sports car buyers with new synchronizer rings and reinforced gears in the gearbox as well as adjustments to the clutch. The new model was immediately recognizable from the outside. The pop-up headlights had disappeared and were replaced by ellipsoid lamps under glass covers. This gave the 512 M a touch of F40 flair. The characteristic crossbars were missing at the rear and instead of the rectangular light units there were now four round lamps, like the BB. Wide, multi-part 18-inch rims and tires almost 30 cm wide (at the rear) filled the wheel arches. Inside, only a newly designed steering wheel indicated the "Modificata". The changes were combined with a welcome reduction in weight; the manufacturer stated the curb weight for the "dry" sports car to be 1,455 kg. The "Modificata" cost 332,000 DM in 1995, no small sum. Compared to its predecessors, however, with around 380 units produced, it remained extremely rare, which is why the last word on value quotations has probably not yet been spoken, despite the polarizing design adjustments that were not appreciated by all Testarossa fans. The 512 M definitely has a special status, because it was the last of its kind. The successor, the 550 Maranello, carried the even more powerful twelve-cylinder engine over the front wheels and was more of a Gran Turismo than a road-going racing car. The seating position is right, and the steering, which is much smoother and more precise than its predecessors, the Testarossa and 512TR, pleasantly supports the turning of the beautifully designed steering wheel. The all-round visibility is better than you might expect and the width of almost two meters no longer scares anyone in the age of Q7s and the like. Once you've started the engine, you'll think you're in seventh heaven. There should be a warning about the risk of addiction... The example we're offering is accident-free and has a flawless history of origin and maintenance. The work on this 512M was largely carried out by a single Ferrari dealer. The last major inspection with replacement of the timing belt was carried out in September 2022 at 58,800 km, i.e. around 350 km ago. In conjunction with our conscientious inspection, the overall visual impression and the truly complete, transparent history, we are firmly convinced that you will hardly find a technically better conditioned 512M on the market. The current situation makes it extremely difficult to find this rare model. 1995 Ferrari 512 M DLS Automobile If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1972 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona
What is it? It’s a Ferrari 365 GTB/4, the car you’ll more likely know as the ‘Daytona’. The absolute must-have luxury Grand Tourer in the 1960s and ’70s, the 4.4-litre Colombo V12-powered ‘Daytona’ is no shrinking violet when it comes to hiking up its skirt and getting a move on. Just ask the legendary American racing drivers Brock Yates and Dan Gurney, who, in 1971, famously drove a ‘Daytona’ 2,876 miles from New York City to California’s Redondo Beach in a record time of 35 hours and 54 minutes. That’s an average speed of 80.8mph! Could you tell us about this car’s history? Fitted from new with optional air-conditioning and a Voxson radio, this European-specification left-hand-drive Ferrari 365 GTB/4 ‘Daytona’ was delivered in 1972 to the Iranian embassy in Rome before being exported to Tehran, where it’s understood to have joined the Shah or Iran’s sizeable collection. We discovered some amazing photos of the car during its time in the Iranian capital, parked alongside its successor, the 365 GT4 Berlinetta Boxer. Chassis 16107 returned to Europe in the 1980s, winding up in the possession of a Parisian collector, before heading Stateside, where it was subsequently sold via Art Muller’s Southern Sports Cars of Miami to another France-based collector. The ‘Daytona’ was next seen at a 1998 Brooks auction in Gstaad, when Max, who was working for Brooks at the time, distinctly remembers it. "How could I forget? It's not every day you encounter a gold 'Daytona'!" Copies of the original Brooks vehicle entry form and catalogue description accompany this beautiful Ferrari, confirming that it displayed 30,880km on the clock at that time. An Italian collector acquired the Ferrari in the early 2000s, who exhibited it at the Incontri d’Arte Ferrari meeting in San Marino. The car was to remain in Italy until 2014, when it joined the 40 car-plus collection of a German enthusiast. During his ownership, 16107 was maintained regardless of cost by his in-house team of mechanics, including the fitment of new fuel tanks and lines. He also had the official Ferrari dealer Eberlein Automobile fit electric power steering, a reversible feature which transforms the driving experience. What makes this particular ‘Daytona’ so special today? Well, have you ever seen another ‘Daytona’ painted gold? In all seriousness, there are only 16 others finished in Oro Chiaro (that’s ‘light gold’ in the Queen’s) and we reckon the subtle shade accentuates the sultry Pininfarina-designed bodywork of the car very well, especially in combination with the five-spoke magnesium alloy wheels, which look a hell of a lot more modern than the Borrani wires. Its royal provenance as part of the Shah of Iran’s collection is also a great talking point – there can’t be many other ‘Daytona’ owners who can legitimately say their cars are genuinely fit for a king. Furthermore, in 2019 this ‘Daytona’ received the all-important Classiche certification from Ferrari, pertaining to the originality of its chassis, engine, gearbox, bodywork and exterior colour. The Classiche binder is accompanied by the car’s original owner’s manual, a period-correct tool kit and an expansive history file. All that was missing was an enthusiastic new owner prepared to give it the tender loving care it’s used to and willing to drive it with the gusto. Until now, that is. What’s it like to drive? You mean apart from making you feel like an oil-rich playboy prince? Simply put, it’s heavenly. The retrofitted (and entirely reversible) power steering makes the ‘Daytona’ feel like much less of a truck at manoeuvring speed, and during our day jaunt around central London, this example felt as tight as a drum. This reassurance leaves your mind free to properly enjoy what is one of the most intoxicating engines ever produced. The performance is astonishing, and we can only imagine what that must have felt like in 1972. Perhaps more impressive is how positively passers-by and fellow motorists treat you. Modern Ferrari owners won’t know the feeling half as well. 1972 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Girardo & Co. Ltd If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1966 Maserati Mistral 3.7 Spyder 1
What is it? It’s the ultra-rare open version of the Mistral, the final Maserati Gran Turismo to be powered by the marque’s enduring twin-spark six-cylinder engine and the first to be christened after a famous wind. Pietro Frua’s contemporary coupé design was given to a young Giovanni Michelotti to be ‘enhanced’ in convertible form. The resulting Spyder, coach-built by Maggiora of Turin, made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in 1964 – just a few months after its closed counterpart. A mere 124 examples were built over the course of six years, fitted with either 3.5-litre, 3.7-litre or 4.0-litre fuel-injected engines. Distinguishing itself with a mix of genuinely sporty driving characteristics and excellent Grand Touring credentials, the Mistral Spyder is a wonderfully versatile and undisputedly elegant classic car for the discerning collector. Can you tell us about the history of this particular Maserati Mistral Spyder? One of just 20 Mistral Spyders ordered in right-hand-drive configuration, chassis number 067 is a 3.7-litre model fitted with a five-speed manual gearbox, Borrani wire wheels and the incredibly rare optional factory hardtop. The car – originally finished in Rosso Arcoveggio over a magnolia hide interior – was delivered new to one Elias George Hourly, a banker based in London, and registered with the number ‘HUJ 310D’. In the decades since, chassis number 067 has passed through the hands of a number of custodians and has remained in the United Kingdom. This Maserati tells a story of diligent and no-expense-spared care and maintenance, as evidenced by the generous history file which comprises tens of invoices dating back to the 1980s and even the original green UK V5 document. The documentation also confirms the 88,630 miles currently showing on the odometer to be correct. The aforementioned invoices and accompanying photos also document a major bodywork restoration carried out by Vale Cottage Motors in 2012. Marque specialist Bill McGrath Maserati has, in recent years, been entrusted with servicing this Mistral. Unsurprisingly, the Spyder, which is now finished in an elegant shade of grey with a beautifully trimmed contrasting tan leather interior, presents exquisitely. What’s the Mistral Spyder like to drive? As referenced above, the Mistral boasts an impressive breadth of ability. Its tubular chassis is both shorter and stiffer than that of the preceding 3500GT, its disc brakes are powerful and the 3.7-litre straight-six engine, in this case fed by three beautiful and more reliable double-barrel Weber carburetors, oozes torque. On a twisting B-road, you’re never left wanting for power and the handling is surprisingly dynamic. Yet thanks to its five-speed gearbox, large twin fuel tanks and spacious boot, the Mistral is every bit as suited to effortlessly traversing continents, mile after mile, hour after hour. Sell it to me in a sentence… For today’s discerning collectors, this Maserati Mistral Spyder is appealing for a number of compelling reasons: it’s elegant, remarkably versatile, rare as hens’ teeth, and hails from an exciting turning point in the Trident Marque’s fabled history – not to mention it’s been cherished and enjoyed for its entire life. 1966 Maserati Mistral 3.7 Spyder Girardo & Co. - 1963 Maserati Sebring 3500 GTi by Vignale
First offered in 1962 as a replacement for the flagship Maserati 3500 GTi, the Maserati Sebring is an elegant expression of mid-20th century Italian design. Named in recognition of the storied Bolognese manufacturer’s 1957 triumph at the 12 Hours of Sebring, the Sebring was designed to take full advantage of the open expanses and the smooth, modern freeway system of the U.S. market. Powering the car is a 3,485-cubic-centimeter, 235-horsepower inline six-cylinder engine shared with the 3500 GTi. The Sebring could accelerate to 60 mph in approximately 8.5 seconds and could achieve a top speed approaching 140 mph. Despite its impressive performance, the Sebring 3500 GTi is not a lightweight sports car in the classical sense; it is clearly a luxurious grand touring car with a comfortable and well-appointed “2+2” interior. Underlying the steel body and giving it strength was an all-new tubular steel frame, which also supported the independent dual wishbone front suspension, semi-elliptical rear leaf springs, and four-wheel disc brakes. Series I examples of the Sebring remain a rare, highly prized Maserati model, with just 348 built from 1962 to 1965. Chassis number AM101 01841 was completed in July of 1963 and delivered new to Milan, Italy. Built with the fuel-injected 3500 GTi engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission, it featured Grigio Montebello (Metallic Silver) paint and Pelle Nero (black leather) upholstery from the factory. The car was ordered on 2 August 1963 and later delivered through Cornacchia Automobili in Milan on 4 September 1963 to its first owner, Mrs. Elana Gelmi. Today, the car is finished in red over black leather. It has benefitted from over $80,000 in restoration work from 2015 to 2018, which included an engine rebuild, a rebuild and calibration of the fuel injection system, a rebuild of the starter and water pump, a rebuild of the clutch and pressure plate, as well as brake work. Cosmetic work included painting the car, re-chroming or polishing the brightwork, depending on condition, and the installation of new leather front seat covers, along with a custom leather console cover. Pirelli tires with Blockley tubes were also mounted on the Borrani wire wheels in this timeframe. The car is accompanied by a copy of the factory Maserati build record, a Maserati Historical Information Certificate, as well as owner’s manuals, and restoration invoices from 2015 to 2018. 1963 Maserati Sebring 3500 GTi by Vignale RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The notice and take down procedure is described here: https://www.speedholics.com/copyright First offered in 1962 as a replacement for the flagship Maserati 3500 GTi, the Maserati Sebring is an elegant expression of mid-20th century Italian design. - 1948 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Super Sport Pininfarina Cabriolet
This superb and rare short chassis Pininfarina convertible was sold to Prague when new. Not only is it a very early example which features its original and rare all alloy bodywork but it also has special details to the body made for the first owner. The pictures on file from its very early days show the rare and original bodywork. Already in the early fifties it arrived in the U.S.A. where it belonged to Alec Uhlmann, among others. We also have pictures on file from the late sixties when in the USA being prepared for restoration. In the early nineties it was comprehensively restored and after that it was sold to a Belgian collector who took great care of it. When the car came to Holland it had a non matching engine (un-numbered) and was then changed for another but correct SS engine. The previous owner had the engine rebuilt at the excellent mechanics at Mugello Engineering. We then sold the car to the current owner. Since then the car has entered the 2022 & 2023 Mille Miglia on the freshened mechanics. The car is accepted in the Registro Mille Miglia (eligible). With the car comes its history file with all appropriate FIVA papers and EEC registration. Few automobiles rival the elegance and racing lineage of the Alfa Romeo 6C 2500. The 6C 2500 became one of the most expensive and refined cars of its era, attracting a worldwide celebrity clientele, particularly those enamored with the highly desirable top-of-the-line Super Sport Cabriolet. 1948 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Super Sport Pininfarina Cabriolet Very Superior Old Cars If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1990 Mercedes-Benz 190 EVOII
This 1990 Mercedes Benz 190E Evolution II is a stunning example of the marque and shows just 38, 102 km (23,675 miles) at the time of cataloging. Car number 390 of just 502 examples produced, this car is finished in the same Blue-Black Metallic (blauschwarz) as the first 500 cars, while the final two were painted Astral Silver. The Evo II is immediately identifiable thanks to its outrageous aero-package, which features a large adjustable rear wing, uniquely designed fender arch extensions, and 17-inch 6-spoke alloy wheels. In wind tunnel testing, these wild modifications reduced drag dramatically and increased downforce, and helped keep the 190E a competitive race car on the track. For a homologation race car, the interior is remarkably well appointed, with four Recaro-designed seats, that feature leather outers with black and white crosshatch cloth centers. Additionally, features like air conditioning, heated font seats and a sunroof have all been fitted, making this race car for the road, an extremely pleasant place to spend time. When you get behind the large 4-spoke steering wheel, the gauge cluster is remarkably similar to a normal 190E, but one glance at the tachometer with its 7,700 rpm redline, lets you know that this is not in fact, a normal 190 Mercedes. Although Mercedes Benz was building a 190E 2.5-16 which was being sold in showrooms in larger numbers, it would be a mistake to think that it had the same powerplant as the Evo II. Yes, both cars had 2.5-liter inline 4s with dual overhead cams and 16 valves, but the Evo II, was powered by a unique “short stroke” variant of the engine. Also fitted with the “AMG Power Pack” this engine produced 232 horsepower at 7,200 rpm and 181 lb-ft of torque at 5,000 rpm. This was a jump of nearly 30 horsepower and gave the driver an extra 700 rpm to work with at the top end. Power was then routed through a 5-speed manual gearbox with a dog-leg 1st gear, to the rear wheels. A self leveling suspnension allowed the car to be raised and lowered at the push of a button, and was the only 190E with this technology. The looks of the Evo II are quite extreme but it is renowned for having remarkably docile road manners. It loves to be thrown around when things get twisty, but is not overly harsh or demanding in daily use. When production of the 190E 2.5-16 Evolution II ended in July of 1990, it marked the end of the high-performance homologation race cars for the W201 chassis. That being said, the car continued to race successfully in the 1992 sesason, winning both the manufacturers’ and drivers’ championships at the hands of Klaus Ludwig. Without a doubt, this remains one of the most exciting looking cars to ever come out of Mercedes, and will go down as one of the best driving as well. 1990 Mercedes-Benz 190 EVOII ISSIMI, Inc If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer.
