“It’s not politically correct. (What better reason is there?)’’ - Porsche Germany The Porsche 911 Targa is a captivating beauty from the beloved (late) 60s. When gas stations were still staffed, cigarettes adorned the birthday table and hippie culture challenged the norms. The iconic Targa top combines the thrill of driving with the sun on the crown, the sleek look of the Targa Bar and the convenience of a hardtop. The great thing about this example is that this is a custom made project. The previous owner has put his heart and soul into this gem and given it all the attention it needs. Now let’s talk about its uniqueness, starting with the color. Wunchfarbe Kristalblau, one of the rarest colors on request, only delivered by Porsche for a limited number of years. Reportedly, only a total of 75(!!!) examples left the Porsche factory in Stuttgart in this color. Restored to perfection. Everything, not only new and fresh, but also tight with perfect seams all around. But the big party takes place in the 3.0 liter engine. And no, this is not a circle meeting with cheese and sausage in plastic containers, but a blast party that will be remembered for years to come. This beautiful specimen is equipped with a 3.0 liter powerhouse. It is equipped with new high compression pistons in combination with 6 ITBs. Also called 'individual throttle bodies' that ensure an impressive amount of speed. A computer-controlled injection also ensures optimal distribution of the fuel. The computer operates, by means of a custom-made wiring harness, the right cylinder at the exact moment with the perfect amount of gasoline (this is called sequential injection). All this is controlled by sensors and adjusted in real time by the computer if necessary. The party is completed with a racing flywheel and a modified gearbox for seamless 'Schnell' shifting. This set-up, together with stabilizers all around, ensures an unprecedented driving experience. The car ‘hangs’ on the gas and responds like no other to every push of the toe. The full stainless steel exhaust system provides the necessary auditory icing on the cake. Believe us, many bystanders will break their necks. Get in the driver's seat and prepare yourself for an explosion between the class of the past and the technology of today. A win-win situation. Don't forget to bring your flared jeans, tie-dye shirts, aviator sunglasses and a whole lot of attitude! There is so much more to tell about this model. - 1961 Ferrari 250 GT Cabriolet Series II Pinin Farina
Constructed as the 148th example of only 200 250 GT Series II Cabriolets built, chassis number 2943 GT was completed in October of 1961 and destined for Ferrari’s home market of Italy. It was originally finished in Rosso Maio (MM 12441) over a Nero interior in Vinyl and Connolly leather. According to records provided by marque historian Marcel Massini, the car was sold new to a company registered in Bergamo via M. Gastone Crepaldi Automobili, the official Ferrari dealership in Milan. Initially registered in Bergamo and later re-registered in Milan by a subsequent owner, the car was later exported from Italy to Germany when it was purchased by Prince Joachim Zu Fürstenberg, who resided at Castle Donaueschingen, located in the Baden-Württemberg state of Germany. In 1973, the Series II Cabriolet was sold via the Düsseldorf-based Ferrari importer Auto-Becker to Ola J. Borge of Norway. Upon arriving in Norway, the Ferrari was very much treated as Borge’s prized possession and only driven on special occasions. It would remain in the Borge family for the following forty years, accumulating less than 1,200 km per year on average over that time. In 2013, the car was sold to Matt LeBreton who lived on England’s south coast, and it was exported to the UK. Finished in dark green over a black interior at his time of purchase, at the time it was said that the car had been well looked after but had not been run for at least four years. Upon his purchase, LeBreton decided that the car would be fully restored and commissioned the Ferrari specialists at Barkaways in Tonbridge, UK to perform the restoration. He chose a charming burgundy over tan colour scheme, a perfect match for the model’s sophisticated character. Following the completion of the restoration, the car was shown at Salon Privé in 2015 where it won its class, attesting to the quality of the restoration. After being featured in the magazine Auto Italia in their issue #255, published in May 2017, the car was granted Classiche certification, confirming that it retains its original chassis, engine, gearbox, and bodywork. Acquired by the current owner approximately five years ago, the car returned home to Italy where it resides today. With the current owner, chassis no. 2943 GT has been well looked after and preserved since his purchase. Most notably, it was used in the Driver’s Parade of the 2023 Italian Grand Prix, chauffeuring Ferrari’s own Charles Leclerc around the circuit for fans to catch a glimpse of their favourite driver at Ferrari’s home race. Importantly, the car is accompanied by its original factory hardtop, painted to match the bodywork, as well as its history file, Classiche binder, and a tool kit. Presented in fantastic condition throughout, this 250 GT Cabriolet Series II needs nothing thanks to its top-notch restoration and exceptional upkeep by its current custodian. A fantastic Ferrari that would be an ideal entrant for concours events or driven as its manufacturers intended, a plethora of exciting opportunities awaits the next owner of this spectacular car. 1961 Ferrari 250 GT Cabriolet Series II Pinin Farina RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1968-alfa-romeo-1750-gtv-serie-1
The 2-door coupé, one of young Giorgetto Giugiaro’s absolute masterworks, is based on the Alfa Romeo Giulia platform and had its debut in September 1963 at the Frankfurt IAA. Initially called Giulia Sprint GT the car received its own Giugiaro/Bertone designed coachwork and was offered until 1975 in varying shapes and with varying displacement engines from 1.3 to 2 litres. Our 1750 GTV, of the much sought after first series cars with standing pedals, was delivered in Rome on the 18th May 1968. In 1970, the gorgeous Alfa Romeo was acquired by a Signor Marini in the Viterbo province, where the coupé had four further owners. In December 1991, the 1750 GTV was imported into Switzerland but never registered. In October 1994 the car was acquired by a new enthusiast in the French part who, with the intention of registering his car, had it repainted in its original colour. Probably due to lack of time the coupe remained partly disassembled and after a minor electrical fire was parked in a garage. In 2025, the Alfa, after a long hibernation, was rescued and brought back to life. It received a new dashboard, new wood veneer inlays, new rubber mats in the interior and in the boot as well as a new rear exhaust silencer. The clutch slave cylinder was replaced, and a major service was performed. Today, the rare 1750 GTV presents itself in good to very good condition. The coachwork seems original without any welding repairs and the original interior would let us assume that the 58’500 kilometres correspond with an actual mileage off 158’500 kilometres. The last Veteran MOT was completed in May 2025 allowing the beautiful Italian to be registered immediately. 1968 Alfa Romeo 1750 GTV Serie 1 Oldtimer Galerie International GmbH If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1964 Ferrari 250 GT/L Lusso
Among the greatest of the Ferrari 250 road cars, the 250 Lusso continues to be regarded by collectors and enthusiasts as the finest iteration of the classic road-going Ferrari. Though powerfully equipped, the Lusso was nimble, visually dynamic, and stunning from every view. Lower and wider than earlier iteration 250s, the rear Kamm tail treatment modernized the overall appearance while aiding high speed stability. Positioned between the larger 250 GTE 2+2 and the competition oriented SWB, the Lusso provided the ideal fit, delivering an athletic GT car with legendary visual appeal and the finest in V12 performance. Though the exterior design remains a highpoint of this series, Ferrari’s venerable and fully developed 3.0 liter outside plug Colombo V12 engine was key to the success of the Lusso. This series would, of course, become recognized as the premier iteration as the 250 GT. Engineering features included disc brakes, weight-saving aluminum deck lids and doors, and competition derived suspension. The interior was trimmed to high standards and featured a unique centrally mounted tachometer and speedometer - an inspiring feature of the Lusso design. Production was relatively brief, from January of 1963 to August of 1964 with just 350 examples built. For collectors seeking the ultimate in a road-going 250 GT V12, the Lusso exemplifies Ferrari’s legendary 250 SWB in road-going form. Since their introduction, Lussos have become blue-chip Ferraris with premium examples finding residence among the finest collections throughout the world. According to the Marcel Massini report accompanying this car, Lusso s/n 4497 was completed August 10, 1963, finished in Grigio Argento (code 18940 M) over Nero Connolly leather. An early series car (#54 of the 350 units produced) this example was delivered to Luigi Chinetti Motors, New York, NY in August 1963. Though the first owner of record is not recorded in 1963, by 1967, Massini reports the car was sold to John W. Carmack, a resident of Carmel, CA. Under Carmack’s ownership, the car was featured in March 1970 Ferrari Club of America Prancing Horse Magazine, issue #28. The following year, the car was sold to Richard Pendleton Hall, Maryland. By 1977, Hall sold the car to Charles Girand, Dallas, TX. The car was subsequently offered in 1989 by Rick Cole and purchased by Chic and Chris Vandagriff’s “Hollywood Sport Cars”. Known for their passion in sports cars with a keen interest in Ferraris, as dealers they never titled the car, rather keeping it in what was described to be largely original condition. In 1993, this Lusso sold the car to the current California owner who has thoughtfully preserved and maintained the car for the past 31 years including retaining the original matching numbers engine and matching gearbox, as verified by the accompanying Marcel Massini report. Service records accompanying the car date back to 2015 including approximately $25k in mechanical work performed that year by Fast Cars Ltd., Redondo Beach, CA. This invoice included all fluid changes, new oil, coolant, and fuel lines, new soft brake lines, rebuild for all carburetors, new shock shafts and bushings, rebuilding all brake cylinders, new fuel lines and fuel pump rebuild, new rear axle seals, along with addressing various other interior lighting, trim, and detail features. Regular interval services and other items continued to be provided by “Fast Cars” from 2017-2021. A 2007 appraisal on file with the car notes 23,275 miles on the odometer. The odometer currently indicates 23,337 miles which are believed to be original to the car based on the condition, history, and presentation of this Lusso. Today this Ferrari Lusso offers a rare opportunity for an enthusiast to acquire an unrestored Lusso, one that has been thoughtfully maintained under long-term California ownership, mechanically serviced as needed, and ready for driving enjoyment. Rarely discovered in enjoyably modest condition, many of these cars have become overdone with restorations far beyond the original purpose of these elegant road machines. In this example, the exterior finish appears to be an older respray which has mellowed over time, showing a few blemishes, but none to detract from the subtle silver color over the dramatic Pininfarina body. The doors and trunk have generally consistent panel fit and closure, while the hood sits slightly proud of the forward edge. The exterior chrome, trim, and glass are very nice throughout including the lovely Marchal headlamps and recessed Lusso fog lamps. The Borrani wire wheels and chrome plated knock offs are beautifully finished wearing a set of Pirelli Cinturato 185/R15 tires. The interior continues the theme of preservation under long-term ownership presenting what appears to be largely original finishes, much of which have benefited from indoor storage and minimal use. The black leather seats appear to be original and unrestored, benefiting from reconditioning. The front seat material and stitching show typical corner seam stretching and some scuff marks from general use but are otherwise very well-preserved. The rear cargo area, inner door panels, side panels, and soft trim appear consistent with original finishes. The black carpet is correctly trimmed and fitted but likely is an older replacement installed many years ago. The dashboard and instruments are very nice with excellent color and clarity. The trunk is reflective of original materials. A spare wire wheel is in place. Overall, the interior is reflective of largely original materials and components capturing the preserved, long-term California ownership history in a readily drivable car one can immediately enjoy at Ferrari gatherings, local events, with the added incentive to further investigate originality in the company of preservation-minded experts. Under the hood, the V12 engine delivers a very confident presentation. The engine number 4497 is a single strike numeric combination which matches the chassis number as confirmed by the Massini report. The engine delivers honest finishes, here too not overly prepared to intimidate use or suffered by a heavy polishing hand. Rather, finishes such as the correct black wrinkle cam covers, correctly finished air cleaner, proper hardware and linkages, correct series Weber carburetors, correct windscreen washer fluid bag, distinctive yellow fuel lines, and correct factory manufacturing stampings and build plates are all consistent with the original 350 cars built in this series. The chassis is representative of an unrestored example showing properly serviced components with appropriate replacements for rubber hoses, suspension bushings, and other consumables, but otherwise indicative of a preserved and gently enjoyed Lusso. The numbers matching transmission stamping is also confirmed per the Massini report. The factory castings, authentic coatings and components complete the underside including factory accurate exhaust and mufflers, and suspension components. There is no visual evidence of structural compromise to the chassis or suspension mounting points. This Lusso starts up delivering a wonderful raspy V12 exhaust note. The car runs and drives extremely well, with a tight and responsive feel often absent from trailered concours level cars. The engine is well tuned, while the four-speed gearbox offers excellent action through all gears, progressive acceleration, and strong pull in the higher rev range. Sounds, speeds, and glorious front fender lines welcome you into the rarified world of premium V12 motoring when behind the wheel. Of course, the very best in highway touring is what the Lusso does best, humming along at 60 mph with plenty of power on tap for a quick gear change and a run up to passing speeds with confident 4-wheel disc braking coming down smoothly. In all, the driving manners are enjoyable, refined, and yet still indicative of this bygone era of motorsports excellence and craftsmanship. This Lusso presents a rare and exciting opportunity to acquire a matching numbers Ferrari coming out of 30+ years of current California ownership. Offered with Massini report, numerous sympathetic original finishes, and regular mechanical services as needed, this driver-centered example is ready for the next chapter in Ferrari ownership. Finished in original colors, this Lusso comes with a Ferrari maintenance manual, a vintage Ferrari Lusso book, a factory jack, mallet, and tire jack bag, a copy of the Massini report, and copies of service records dating back to 2015. As more preservation level cars are being honored for retaining original finishes and maintained as genuinely enjoyed cars under long-term ownership, the next fortunate owner can look forward to miles of enjoyable driving, Ferrari club events, and the pleasure of authentic V12 motoring for decades to come. 1964 Ferrari 250 GT/L Lusso Fantasy Junction If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The notice and take down procedure is described here: https://www.speedholics.com/copyright Among the greatest of the Ferrari 250 road cars, the 250 Lusso continues to be regarded by collectors and enthusiasts as the finest iteration of the classic road-going Ferrari. - 1995 Ferrari F50
Following in the footsteps of the fabled F40, Ferrari’s F50 was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 1995. Hugely influenced by Formula 1 design and technology at the time, at the F50 heart was a naturally aspirated V-12 engine derived from Ferrari’s 642 F1 car, campaigned during the 1991 Formula 1 World Championship. With 512 bhp on tap, its Formula 1 origins and 8,000 rpm redline made the engine truly sonorous when driven as its manufacturers intended. Top speed was claimed as being 202 mph and from a standstill, the F50 would sprint to 60 mph from a standstill in 3.8 seconds. As if its performance wasn’t enough, what truly set the F50 apart from its competitors at the time was its open-top body style, allowing buyers to choose from the closed comfort of a Berlinetta or the thrill of an open-top sports car, and no open-top sports car on sale at the time could match the sheer performance of the F50. Top-down, the driving experience that the F50 provided its lucky driver and passenger was a close as one could get to driving a road-legal Formula 1 car. Only 349 examples would be built, far fewer than the F40 that preceded it. This example is one just 4 cars to have been sold new to South Africa and the story with how it landed with its first owner, quite remarkable. In the late 1980s, Leonard Smith had been working for the South African postal service with very little to his name. He received a phone call from the UK, stating that a long lost and distant relative had passed away and he was due to inherit a significant amount of money. At the time, Smith did not have the money needed to travel to the U.K., but his best friend stepped forward and paid for the trip. The inheritance was significant and lifechanging. When he returned to South Africa, he had close to 800m Rand to his name; the exchange rate at the time of 4 Rand to £1. Leonard bought himself his first Ferrari in 1991, a 328 GTS from T.A.K Motor Co. Ltd. Pty. of Johannesburg, South Africa. Soon after he visited the factory in Italy and collected a 512TR. Having missed out on the opportunity to purchase an F40 new, Smith was invited to the launch of the F50 on 6th March 1995 which attended and greatly enjoyed. Just four days after the launch, he penned a letter requesting allocation of the F50 and outlining his intentions to start a small collection. Leonard Smith would lead a very secluded life. His close friend who had paid for the trip to the UK designed his house where the cars were to be kept. The F50 was kept in a large garage alongside his first Ferrari, the 328 GTS and the 512TR, along with a 355 Challenge and a 348 Spider. The cars were used sparingly and never during the day. Smith instead chose to drive the cars after dark, and his neighbours reported they would hear him leaving home around 11pm at night. After his passing in 2012, the cars were auctioned by LRA Auctioneers & Appraisers and the car moved to its second custodian who owned the car from 2012 until purchase by DK Engineering in November 2022. In the care of its second owner the car has seen very limited use whilst still receiving due services from Ferrari South Africa. Since 2012 in fact, the car has covered just 650 kilometres. Prior to departure from South Africa, a major service including the replacement of the fuel tank. Upon arrival at DK, the car has once more received a thorough inspection. This incredible two owner example has covered just 3,485 Miles (5,860 kms) from new. Presenting superbly and both low use and a sunnier climate ensured the underside is immaculate. This example is accompanied by its flight case, build book, original books and original torch. 16.02.1998 – First service – T.A.K. Motor Co Ltd. Pty. In January 2023, following a full pre-delivery inspection by DK Engineering in our UK workshops, this F50 was flown to the USA and permanently imported. - 1956 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing
The silhouette of the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing is surely one of the most recognisable among all the most timeless collector cars. Thanks to its distinctive doors that give the coupé its unique look—made possible by the “birdcage” frame pioneered by Mercedes-Benz—the model took 1950s automotive design by storm. As if the car’s stunning looks were not enough, the Gullwing also packed a performance punch to match. The car’s lightweight construction—dubbed Super Leicht in German, from which the “SL” part of its name is derived—and its 3.0-litre straight-six M198 engine made for the ultimate sports car mix, then as now earning plaudits for an engaging driving experience. Of course, Mercedes-Benz engineers did not begin designing the 300 SL from a standing start. Both the Gullwing and subsequent Roadster were based largely on the earlier W194, the competition-ready predecessor to the roadgoing car. This had been developed by Mercedes-Benz on motorsport circuits around the world and was built in time for the 1952 racing season, securing wins at races including the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Eifelrennen at the Nürburgring, and Carrera Panamericana road race in Mexico. The car was undeniably fast, yet it was the Mercedes-Benz team drivers of the era—including Juan Manuel Fangio, Stirling Moss, Hans Klenk, Karl Kling, and Hermann Lang—that made that age special for the German marque. This continued success for Mercedes-Benz resulted in the subsequent development of the W198—that would later become the 300 SL—with bosses looking to version of the race car that customers could purchase and drive on the road. The United States was seen as a critical market for expansion and the German marque launched the 300 SL Coupe at the 1954 International Motor Sports Show in New York, notably becoming the first car from the marque ever shown overseas before being revealed in Germany. Completed by Mercedes-Benz and leaving the factory on 18 August 1956, chassis number 6500206 was originally delivered to the Philippines though its distributor in Manila and surely would have been one of only a handful of 300 SLs delivered to that part of the world. Originally finished in Light Blue Metallic (DB353) with Red leather upholstery, it is thought that early in the car’s life it was repainted in Silver Metallic. Importantly, the car was also specified with the optional sport suspension and NSL-spec engine (Nockenwelle Sport Leicht, which signifies the presence of a lightweight sport camshaft), raising power output to 230 brake horsepower. Of the 1,400 Gullwings produced, approximately 300 were fitted with both the NSL engine and sport suspension, not counting the four Sportabteilung works-prepared Gullwings or the 29 alloy-bodied examples which were built with all available upgrades. The Gullwing’s first owner was Augusto Santos of Manila. Details of its early history are not well documented, but the car passed through at least one owner in the United States after it was acquired by Sergio T. Naghiat of Riverdale, New York, before being imported to Germany in 2007. By 2009, the Gullwing was located in Austria and noted as having been restored in the mid-1990s. In 2008 the car had been upgraded with a new cylinder head and sport camshaft to ensure smooth operation with modern unleaded petrol. Its next owner in the UK had the car fully repainted in its current Silver before the car returned to continental Europe, where it was purchased by its next owner 2017. It was subsequently acquired again at an RM Sotheby’s auction in 2019. Over 60 years since its inception, the 300 SL remains one of Mercedes-Benz’s most recognisable cars, and its influences can still be seen in the company’s automobiles today. Well suited for rallies, touring, or club events, the Gullwing is eminently usable and can be found on every collector’s wish list, if not already in their garage. This example is particularly desirable, as it still boasts its matching-numbers NSL-spec engine and sport suspension, and would surely be a thrill to use and enjoy for any collector. 1956 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1970-maserati-ghibli-47-spyder-by-ghia
Unveiled at the 1966 Turin Motor Show, the Maserati Ghibli instantly captivated the automotive world with its striking design and formidable performance. Beneath its sculpted hood a powerful 4.7-liter dry-sump V-8 engine produced an impressive 310 horsepower. The car's stunning coachwork, masterminded by the visionary Giorgetto Giugiaro and crafted by Ghia, featured a dynamic, low-slung coupe silhouette, highlighted by sleek pop-up headlamps, a sharply raked windshield, and a sweeping fastback. The Ghibli quickly became a symbol of exclusivity and sophistication, adored by the world's most glamorous figures. Celebrities from basketball icon Wilt Chamberlain to comedian Peter Sellers, and even Rat Pack legends Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr., all gravitated toward this automotive masterpiece, cementing it as a must-have for the international jet set. As with any popular sporty coupe, customers eventually demanded an open-top version, and Maserati answered with a spyder that debuted on Ghia’s stand at the 1968 Turin Motor Show. With the roof removed, the coachwork took on a totally different character, emphasizing the flowing beltlines and luxurious dimensions. The prototype proved to be the first of only 128 examples built, ensuring a degree of rarity that further solidified the model’s cachet with collectors. At the conclusion of Ghibli production, 83 examples of the 4.7-liter spyder had been built, according to Maserati Classiche. Of those, just 25 were crafted as left-hand-drive, European-specification models equipped with a manual gearbox, placing the featured lot in exceedingly exclusive company. According to Maserati Classiche records, chassis number 1079 was completed in February 1970, equipped with a 4.7-liter engine and manual gearbox, and finished in Giallo with a Nero leather interior. Destined to start life in its native country, 1079 was delivered new to Rome where it was reportedly first sold to an airline pilot before being exported to the United States in the mid-1970s. The car then made its way to Ontario, Canada where it is said to have been treated to a comprehensive, multi-year restoration, which included the installation of exceptionally attractive Borrani wire wheels. Following its refurbishment, the car returned to Italy where it has since remained a jewel in the crown of several esteemed European collections. Now presented in factory-correct Giallo over Nero livery, chassis 1079 is notably equipped with a Blaupunkt stereo, air conditioning, and power steering. Importantly, it also retains its numbers-matching 4.7-liter engine and gearbox, as confirmed by an accompanying Maserati Classiche Certificate of Authenticity and book issued in May of 2024. Hugely desirable when new and having remained in fashion ever since, this breathtaking Maserati Ghibli Spyder will make an outstanding complement to collections the world over, certain to tug at the heartstrings of any enthusiast of notable Italian sports cars. 1970 Maserati Ghibli 4.7 Spyder by Ghia RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. In terms of Rothmans Escorts, its success across multiple championships, its preservation and its original Gartrac shell are unparalleled. And what’s more, it is something you could keep at home and use without trouble – two pumps on the throttle and hit the start button! Built by Dave Sutton Cars for the Rothmans Rally Team program, specifically for Ari Vatanen, Ford's works driver (and subsequent World Rally Champion, four-time Dakar Rally winner, and Pikes Peak winner). 1980 British Rally Championship winner. 1983 German Rally Championship winner with Walter Smolej. - 1957-alfa-romeo-giulietta-sprint-750b
The Giulietta, introduced in April 1954, proved to be one of the most successful Alfa Romeo models of all time. With the very rev-happy 1.3 litre 4-cylinder engine, in connection with a splendid chassis, the little Italian proved to be one of the sportiest cars of its time, irrespective of whether it had been delivered as a limousine, coupé or cabriolet. The coupé offered stems from the much sought-after first series, called 750B, and was ordered at the Turin salon by Garage Jan rue de Maupas in Lausanne. On the 19th of June 1957, the car was formerly imported into Switzerland through Chiasso. In 1964 the pretty coupé was taken over by the vendor who is a member of the Ecurie de la Côte in Morges and he entered the Alfa in various hill climbs and rallies over the next two years. From 1966, after taking over the family business, all racing activities stopped and in 1971 the pretty Giulietta was dry-stored with the intention of restoring it (or her!) at a future date. In 1995 that day finally arrived and the Giulietta was completely disassembled in the family garage, and, over the next 10 years completely restored and overhauled. The matching-numbers original engine received an overhaul and the coachwork was taken back to bare-metal and repainted in its original colour. The interior was equipped with new upholstery and carpets. On the 27th of September 2005, the Alfa Romeo was finally MOT’d as a Veteran. Since then, the Alfa has covered only around 8’000 kilometres and consequently still present itself in a very good overall condition. This rare coupé - only 2’115 examples were built in 1957 - with only two owners and now 52’000 kilometres driven, will be handed over to the next Alfisto with the most recent Veteran MOT from September 2024. 1957 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint 750B Oldtimer Galerie International GmbH If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1991 De Tomaso Pantera 90 Si
One of 41 produced, The Cultivated Collector’s 1991 De Tomaso Pantera 90 Si, chassis 0025, benefits greatly from loving long-term previous ownership. Today, it presents as an exquisite and highly original example of the breed with 2 owners from new, its original window sticker, certificate of origin, and delivery documentation. 0025 is well known and oft regarded as one of the most original and best examples in the world, sporting its original Gandini designed bodywork, as well as engine and ZF transmission. Having covered a scant 11k KM from new, and with recent servicing at Vantage Motors, 0025 is ready to run with the best. De Tomaso’s original Pantera can trace its roots to being built on the back of the Mangusta, a stunning machine that debuted in Modena in 1970 to critical acclaim from the general public and automotive press, the Mangusta would go on to be the marques most successful model to date. Back on North American soil, Ford was increasingly fraught with the concept of becoming the first American manufacturer to market a mid-engine sports car domestically. In the wake of the failed purchase attempt of automotive goliath Ferrari, Ford struck a deal with Italian Alejandro de Tomaso garnering them an 80% stake in his burgeoning Italian automotive company, De Tomaso. The result of this deal saw the De Tomaso Pantera subsequently available through Lincoln-Mercury dealership lots beginning in 1971. The Ford-De Tomaso partnership would falter before it truly had a chance to flourish, despite selling over 5,000 examples of the Pantera within four years, largely in part due to the effects of the 1973 Energy Crisis. This event resulted in Ford pulling all backing out of De Tomaso in 1975, which did have a silver lining of providing De Tomaso the opportunity to support continued development of the Pantera, gaining the car moderate sales success in Europe. Production of the Pantera continued long into the 1980’s, and as such the company's cornerstone Pantera, was rapidly becoming obsolete in the face of modern offerings from rival marques. De Tomaso’s strategy was to lean on the brilliance of legendary Italian designer Marcello Gandini, who was responsible for penning the achingly beautiful Lamborghini Miura, Countach, and Diablo. Evolving the original Pantera design from Tom Tjaarda, Gandini would comprehensively refresh the Pantera into its penultimate iteration, the Pantera 90 Si, catapulting it into the domain of modern supercars. Beauty, however, was not merely skin deep. Underneath the stunningly reworked Gandini bodywork lay an extensively modified, and lighter, version of the Pantera’s original steel monocoque chassis. Major changes included a lighter, more rigid tubular rear subframe, Brembo brakes, and a new Ford sourced 5.0L V8 engine which was overhauled by the DeTomaso engineers, enabling the Gandini designed Pantera 90 Si to catapult to 60mph in 5.4 seconds and achieve a top speed of 165mph. Striking an ideal balance between performance and cost, the Pantera 90Si was poised to be the perfect limited-edition, entry-level supercar for De Tomaso as the 90’s approached. While the original Pantera was wildly successful in North America, De Tomaso made the decision to not sell the Pantera 90 Si in the North American market. Production began in 1990 with De Tomaso projecting to build 75 examples, however the Pantera 90 Si would end up an unfortunate victim of the struggling global economy in the early 1990’s, with only a reported 41 cars being produced and sold to the public over a 4 year production run. 1991 De Tomaso Pantera 90 Si The Cultivated Collector LLC If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer.
