The Abarth-Simca 2000 was introduced in 1964, powered by a 1,946-cc engine producing over 200 brake horsepower. The motor breathed through 58-millimetre-choke Weber carburettors, the largest Webers ever manufactured. Lightweight and powerful, Abarth-Simca 2000 GTs quickly gained a reputation for being the automotive equivalent of David to the Goliath figure posed by the likes of Ferrari, Porsche, or Jaguar. Many examples went on to dominate hill climb championships and circuit racing, putting the major manufacturers on notice. Chassis number 136 0046 was first registered on 9 January of 1964 to SpA Abarth & Co with the Turin registration “TO 596033”, according to the original libretto. The car’s recorded homologation date was 30 December 1963, meaning chassis 136 0046 is one of the first Abarth-Simca 2000s built. While not much is known about 136 0046’s early history, a photograph exists of the car racing mid-season at Mainz-Finthen airfield in Austria on 14 June 1964. The known sister Works cars were registered on later Turin numbers “TO 622651” and “TO 622652” and were used throughout the 1964 sportscar racing season. Like the other Works cars, chassis 0046 was retired and sold off by Abarth in 1965 and later de-registered, making its whereabouts difficult to trace. In John De Boer’s The Italian Car Registry, 136 0046 is noted as being present at the Mostra Padova show in 1991, when it was owned by Mauro Lotti of Florence, who acquired the car via Giancarlo Ferri. This Abarth was purchased by the father of the consigning owner from a Tuscan collector in 2019. The following year, the 2000 GT received a service, which included an engine rebuild and four new tyres. Today, chassis 136 0046 retains the correct-type 236 Abarth-Simca engine and Weber carburettors. While the car has a few deviations from the factory standards, it is a wonderful example, likely residing in Italy following its brief racing career. These Abarth-Simcas 2000 GTs are said to provide an incredible driving experience and have well-earned their giant-killer reputation both in period and historic motorsport events alike. Looking resplendent in light blue paintwork, this would be an exciting car to race at events such as the Tour Auto or Goodwood Revival, but also the perfect car for some spirited Sunday morning driving. 1964 Abarth Simca 2000 GT RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1983 Porsche 928S
White Lines (Don’t Do It) is playing at full tilt from the tape player and you’re sporting a fringe Tony Hadley from Spandau Ballet would be proud of. It’s 1983 and you’re driving a perfect example of 80’s pure madness and ‘look at me’ crazy excess – a Porsche 928S with what we believe is a Koenig body kit in oh so subtle banana yellow. The history of Koenig is an interesting one (incidentally they still exist, and you can still purchase their body kits). Willy König was a known German race car driver who drove Ferrari’s and met Enzo Ferrari himself. Apparently, he wasn’t entirely impressed with the performance of his first Ferrari a 365 BB and promptly set about improving it which including extending the bodywork. Whilst it was not initially to everyone’s taste the performance was undeniable and demand was there. Koenig with an ‘e’ was born and Koenig Specials became the definitive statement of wild performance and looks. Other tuning and styling houses came along to such as Strosek, Gemballa and Brabus. Collectively they epitomised the 80’s appetite for crazy excess. Koenig was known for putting his design mark on several exotic cars including Ferrari’s, Mercedes and Porsche. We believe our 928S is an example of one of these, however we have no records to confirm it. There isn’t much known about the early history of this 1983 928S. The current owner acquired the car 2 years ago with the intention of returning it to its former glory however new projects have become a greater need and he is now thinning his collection down. We understand the car spent most of its time in Japan where Koenig cars had quite a following. It is possible the conversion occurred there which was not uncommon and not an inexpensive exercise. Our car still has its original and very desirable BBS wheels with steam roller sized 345 PZero tyres. The body whilst it looks ok at distance needs work with splits in the paint and cracks in various parts of the body kit. The boot lid shows some corrosion however the rest of the car looks solid. The current owner has had some recent electrical and engine work done and a compression test shows no issues. The door cards are missing however the rest of the interior is there. The car starts easily, shows no signs of smoke, and runs and changes gear as it should. It sounds fantastic and has a great exhaust note. This is a wonderful driving project and opportunity to own a very rare car – try and find another like it! 1983 Porsche 928S Сlassic Сar Market If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1973 De Tomaso Pantera
The De Tomaso Pantera offered here was delivered in the USA at the beginning of 1973 and later exported to Italy, where it was bought by the last owner over 20 years ago and imported to Switzerland. The car has always been cared for and professionally serviced and maintained regardless of cost. In the last 2 years alone, over CHF 45,000 has been invested, including the complete underbody being ice-blasted, tectyl-coated and cavity-sealed, and the cooling system, front and rear axles and drive shafts overhauled. This beautiful De Tomaso Pantera is veteran-approved and in top condition. After initially designing racing cars for Formula 1, the Modena-based company Automobili De Tomaso began producing road sports cars in the mid-1960s. The Vallelunga, produced in 55 units in 1963, was followed three years later by the Mangusta, De Tomaso’s first sports car, which was equipped with a large American eight-cylinder engine from Ford. The Pantera was then an improved version of its predecessor, the Mangusta, in many respects. Gian Paolo Dallara developed the chassis, in which the weight was better distributed than in the Mangusta. Furthermore, instead of the 289/302 engines (4.7/4.9 l) of the Mangusta, the 351 Cleveland (5.7 l) with four-barrel carburetor – 4V, derived from racing, was now fitted. Unlike many other sports cars of its time, the Pantera had a simple but stable self-supporting body, the design and details of which were the work of Tom Tjaarda, who was head of design at Carrozzeria Ghia at the time. 1973 De Tomaso Pantera Lutziger Classic Cars AG If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1952-alfa-romeo-1900c-sprint-touring
A Stunningly Restored Example of the Series I 1900, Arguably the Most Beautiful and Finely Detailed of the Touring Bodied 1900s. In 1950 when Alfa Romeo launched their all-new unit bodied 1900 series, unprecedented demand for the innovative and stylish car immediately propelled Alfa Romeo into larger more profitable markets. The 1900 platform was versatile and technically sophisticated. Many of the finest Italian coachbuilders were immediately consulted to design and construct bodies for the 1900. This important move allowed a key transition from traditional body on frame coachbuilding, ultimately extending the viability of coachbuilt artistry as the auto industry evolved. The resultant range of stunning special body configurations made the 1900 one of the leading platforms among European coachbuilders of the 1950’s. Among the most desirable and arguable the most elegant of the coachbuilt 1900s is the Touring bodied 1900C. Touring Carrozeria’s patented Superleggera (super lightweight) construction employed specifically on the 1900, utilized a formed steel sub-frame, cleverly enveloped by a lightweight aluminum skin. In the Touring design, the classically inspired coupe utilized a clean and fluid lower body accented only by crisp raised character lines exquisitely formed into the alloy body. The delicately constructed upper body was only lightly garnished by trim and beautifully proportioned glass. This simple elegance had an even sportier touch when offered in the shorter 2,500mm wheelbase, as the 1900C Sprint. The Sprints performed exceptionally well in competition, delivering multiple wins in competition throughout the world. This lovely Touring Superleggera Coupe is from the first-series of production, which was manufactured from 1951 to 1953 by Carrozzeria Touring. Among the evolution of this series, the most desirable is the earliest of the four sequenced body designs due to the low roof, smaller rear window, fluid canopy design, recessed door handles, and prettier grille brows, all of which embody the finest of the original design details and handmade alloy coachwork. This particular car was completed in early 1952 and is known to have spent time in Italy and later in Germany. A Dutch Alfa Romeo collector is also reported to have owned the car for more than 20 years before selling it to Paolo Stallone, an Italian living in South Germany. The current owner purchased the car from Stallone in 2012. After his purchase, the current owner reviewed the condition of the car and decided to embark on a complete restoration. The car was placed in the care of experts at Laboratorio Lopane in Italy who are renown throughout the world for Alfa Romeo restorations, particularly for their specialization in alloy body panels. During this time, it was revealed that a steel nose had been constructed for the front of the car. The decision was made to then strip the car completely, and fit a new alloy nose to the body using original Touring specifications. At the same time, the body was placed on a rotisserie fixture allowing for comprehensive alloy work, metal work as needed, and careful restoration of the original body. As work grew, it became clear that a total restoration was the only proper way to honor such an important car. Four years later, the car emerged from restoration including a beautifully finished interior from Maili in Milano, with mechanical and electrical work performed by Metzemacher of Koln, Germany. Restoration work was documented with detailed photos and invoices. Approximately $200,000 was spent on the restoration with the goal of achieving not only a high quality finish, but also a cohesive and elegant presentation that properly represents the refined craftsmanship and elegant design of the original. Today, this elegant Alfa Romeo 1900C presents in superb condition, with beautifully finished deep red paint, applied with consistent coverage and excellent final polish. The lustrous and deep color reveals the signature Touring crisp wheel opening lines, rocker scallop, and taut upper canopy with rich glints of reflective elegance. This is perfectly offset by a masculine and purposeful stance courtesy of Borrani wide alloy wire wheels, which wear Pirelli Cinturato tires and are accented by chrome-plated dual-ear knock-offs handsomely scripted with the Alfa Romeo name. The wire wheels encase full-diameter alloy drum brake castings, giving the car a competition flavor, befitting the Sprint designation. The minimal chrome trim surrounding the Carello headlamps is perfectly formed and polished, while the glass accessory lights, and teardrop door handles are beautifully fit to the body. Even the proper spiral-metal rear glass gasket recesses elegantly into the rubber surround, nearly vanishing against the deep red body color. The Touring Superleggera coachwork badges, Alfa Romeo emblems, and supporting grille and side vent trim are exceptional pieces of automotive jewelry, accenting perfectly the darker body color. Often presented without bumpers to spoil the stunning elegance of the Touring design, this car is no exception, and is all the more elegant with its clean and unadulterated form. Every element of this car has been wonderfully composed with beautiful finishes and exceptional detailing evident from every view. The remarkable two-tone interior is simply breathtaking, presented in contrasting tan leather with beige cloth inserts, the softer materials across the hinged bench seats create a comforting feel, while the body colored dash and full instrumentation convey the sporting spirit. The dashboard and accompanying instruments are beautifully restored and wonderfully laid out displaying gorgeous Italian flair in design, accented by the polished aluminum and lacquered wood Nardi steering wheel. The instruments are clear, beautifully colored, and surrounded by crisp polished trim surrounding both the large and small faces with excellent visual results. Further details throughout the interior include a Touring Coachbuilders emblem embossed on the driver’s side rubber floor mat, beautifully detailed interior door handles and window cranks, and elegant wool broadcloth headliner. Overall, the interior exhibits the same excellence and attention to craftsmanship of the exterior. The engine compartment has also been comprehensively restored using correct factory finishes, correct hardware and fasteners, and proper wiring, all of which are brought together with mechanical refinement and aesthetic harmony. The textured black castings are uniformly finished with attention to detail and authenticity in every respect. The engine compartment is trimmed with engine turned aluminum, set off by the twin Solex carburetors and short flared polished intake trumpets. Proper textured finishes and correct details also support the mechanical sorting that has been done since the restoration was completed. The trunk is finished with an alloy Borrani spare wheel and Michelin tire nestled into the formed tub, while the floor is covered with a correct fluted form-fitting rubber mat. The underside of the car has been restored with the same attention to detail and authenticity afforded to the exterior. Finishes are properly executed yet not taken to the level of fussiness that would restrain one from enjoyably using the car. The floor is structurally sound, properly finished, and representative of proper restoration performed by expert practitioners with reverence toward authenticity and artistry. On the road, this 1900C Sprint delivers a delightful driving experience. Originally designed for touring, the 1900 was remarkably well balanced for a wide range of rural and urban roads, which still holds true today. The exceptional restoration performed on this car delivers not only enjoyable spirited Italian performance, further enhanced by the added horsepower of the twin-carb Sprint option, but also exemplary coachbuilt beauty and elegance. The column shift gearbox is a wonderful invitation to vintage sojourns, turning even casual drives into engaging journeys to the past. Of particular note is the ease and joy of the roomy interior, the engaging twin cam engine sounds, and the stability of highway cruising. Driver and passenger are comfortable and can engage in conversation, while easily accessing any stowed items in the rear bench area. For vintage touring and contemporary driving, the 1900C combines a satisfying balance of charm and performance in a vintage car. Accompanying the car are multiple restoration documents and extensive photos documenting the restoration. This Alfa Romeo 1900C Sprint represents a rare opportunity to acquire beautifully restored early Touring coachbuilt Alfa Romeo with astonishingly fresh presentation and enjoyable road manners. The combination of elegance and sportiness, coupled with the remarkable interior makes this 1900 both a wonderful event or show car for many major automotive venues throughout the world. For those who admire hand built alloy coachwork, top level restoration, state of the art engineering, and composed motoring, this Alfa Romeo 1900C truly delivers the unmistakable combination of exceptional motoring and Italian design. 1952 Alfa Romeo 1900C Sprint Touring Fantasy Junction If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. This V8 Vantage Zagato was supplied on the 21st November 1986 to Mr G. Strok, Esq., Weybridge, by H.W.M Ltd, of Walton-on-Thames, Surrey. This rare grand-tourer was delivered in Lightning Silver coachwork with Burgundy Connolly leather trim and Black Alcantara Headlining One of just 50 coupe examples built during the model’s four-year production run, this British GT was extravagantly styled by the famed Italian coachbuilder ‘Carrozzeria Zagato’. This very car featured in a 4-page review in Motorsport Magazine in September 1987 (original copy on file), the author concluded ‘Sensational, yes, but also composed; brutish but obedient, razor sharp without being difficult to control’ Powered by a naturally aspirated 5.3-litre V8, delivering 430bhp to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission, our car rides on a brand new set of “new style” Ronal wheels shod with new Michelin tyres. This stunning example was later exported to Hong Kong in 1995 and repatriated to the UK in 2004, owned throughout that period by a noted Asian collector In 2017, nearly £10,000 was spent with Aston Martin specialist Nicholas Mee & Co on extensive servicing and improvements including the installation of a Harvey Bailey handling kit comprising a revised front anti-roll bar, front shock absorbers and new coil springs front and rear. A Bluetooth-compatible Alpine stereo was also fitted at this stage. In 2018, Aston Martin Works replaced the front brake discs and performed additional maintenance at a cost of over £2,000 The Zagato has just returned from marque specialists Quantum Works in December 2023 having been fully serviced and thoroughly gone through, now ready for immediate use by its future and lucky owner Accompanied by an extensive history file containing maintenance invoices, historic MOT test certificates and old Motor Vehicle Licences from the car’s time in Hong Kong, this car passed an advisory free MOT on 8th November 2023 and is offered for sale in superb condition. - 1981 Porsche 924 Carrera GTS Club Sport
The Porsche 924 was initially developed between Volkswagen and Porsche to replace the victorious 912 and 914. The 924 would become the new level entry car for Porsche. It was designed using a front engine and rear wheel drive layout, making it Porsche's first road-going front engine production configuration. The 924 was revealed in November of 1975, featuring a 4-cylinder normally aspirated engine. Three years later, a turbocharged version was introduced to the market, and it was an instant hit around the world. In 1981, Porsche decided to enter Group 4 racing utilizing the 924 production model. The 924 Carrera GTS variant would be 330 pounds lighter, with a lowered suspension and feature an upgraded engine producing 210 HP, the first step into making the 924 a true race car. Following this, Porsche took another step by creating 50 street legal samples named the Carrera GTS. The car featured fixed headlights, slightly wider wheel arches, and a lightweight hood held in place with hood pins. 3 of these examples competed at the 1981 24 hours of Le Mans and finished in an amazing 6th, 12th, and 13th overall. With this successful recipe, Porsche created 15 examples of the Carrera GTS Club Sport, featuring a larger 2.0L 270HP engine and additional oil coolers, making it one of the fastest production cars Porsche had ever built at the time. This example was hand-built and completed on 11 February 1981 at the Weissach facility, then shipped to Bob Hagestad Porsche-Audi in Denver, Colorado. It was sold to its first owner, Dr. William Jackson, an ophthalmologist and well-known Porsche collector from Pine Cliff, Colorado, on 23 July 1982. Known for his discerning eye and exceptional taste, Dr. Jackson was one of the first American collectors to appreciate the significance of early Porsche racing cars. At its height, Dr. Jackson’s collection included some of the most important examples of the marque, from four-cam Spyders and rear-engine prototypes to significant Turbo era 911s. After 24 years in his personal collection, Dr. Jackson sold the Carrera GTS to John Dixon at the Taj Ma Garaj in Dayton, Ohio in August 2005. The vehicle was subsequently purchased out of that collection in 2019 and entered the respected care of Garage 26. Recently serviced in 2021, the car received new engine belts, engine oil, spark plugs, etc. Upon arriving at Canepa, every vehicle is treated to the "Canepa Difference." This includes a complete mechanical inspection, services as needed, and ultimately road tested by Bruce Canepa. A concours level detail is part of the Canepa Difference, with everything cleaned and detailed to a show level finish—underbody/chassis, suspension, exterior finishes, trim, etc. The front engine compartment, trunk, as well as the interior are also cleaned, ensuring that the Carrera GTS is presented as though it had just rolled onto the showroom floor. With the remaining step being the exterior, the finish is polished and waxed to "as new" finish. This rare and very desirable 924 Carrera GTS “Club Sport” is supplied with a tool kit, spare wheel, jack, factory literature, dealer correspondence, COA, and a file of service receipts. With its incredibly low mileage, this truly rare and exciting Porsche collectible is not to be overlooked. 1981 Porsche 924 Carrera GTS Club Sport Canepa If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The notice and take down procedure is described here: https://www.speedholics.com/copyright The Porsche 924 was initially developed between Volkswagen and Porsche to replace the victorious 912 and 914. - 1977 Jaguar XJC
Where the E-type stood for pace, the XK for grace, the XJ stood for space. A wonderfully spacious tourer packed with class, the Jaguar flagship where they loved to show off all their gadgets and new gizmos. The fastest four-seater in the world when the car first rolled off the assembly line. The car was rarely delivered as a coupe anyway, which now makes this a real collector’s item. Anyway, enough about investment and performance, let’s talk about what lasting impression this car leaves behind. After all, a Jaguar driver also knows that you have to drive this car with respect. That means spinning the sports hangover of yesteryear quietly, not roaring. It is sometimes said in the car world, the car looks like its owner. However, this tomcat also knows how to take the owner with her grandeur. Indeed, when you get in, you immediately get the feeling that you know about opera, wine, politics and poetry. Ours? Dutch delivered! A 6-cylinder which in terms of consumption and weight ratio feels a little more favorable than the 12-cylinder and can still insert well. Just completely serviced at Kroymans and fully matching. That’s a nice start, right? 1977 Jaguar XJC JamesEdition B.V. If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1970 De Tomaso Mangusta
The Mangusta was produced by De Tomaso from 1967 to 1971 and despite close links to the Ford Motor Company and access to mass production facilities, only 401 examples left the production line in Modena. It was De Tomaso’s first proper foray into the world of high-performance cars and one of the world’s first supercars, boasting in excess of 300 brake horsepower, a top speed pushing the other side of 250 km/h, and coachwork by none other than Bertone and later Ghia’s Giorgetto Giugiaro, including the gullwing engine cover that had been intended for Giotto Bizzarrini. Styled by Giugiaro, the De Tomaso is the epitome of late-1960s design: a low-slung wedge boasting a quad-headlamp nose, vast haunches, and a tail peppered with slots and vents. The crowning glory is aluminium rear bodywork that hinges up—gullwing-style—to reveal the American-made power unit. This attractive Mangusta is a European-specification example reportedly delivered new to Italy on New Year’s Eve in 1970 with the desirable quad-headlamp nose arrangement. It has resided in Barcelona with the consignor for nearly a decade, and at time of his purchase this Mangusta reportedly wore the factory shade of Avorio Safari. Under the consignor’s purview, the car has been comprehensively restored to the current color combination of Rosso Corsa over black leather, and tastefully modified to suit his discerning penchant for increased performance and safety. As such, this Mangusta is currently powered by an upgraded Hi-Po Ford V-8 engine which is fed by a quarter of Weber carburettors and mated to a correct-type five-speed ZF transaxle. Cosmetically, the car’s aggressive visage is enhanced by a pair of Vitaloni side mirrors, and staggered centre-lock Campagnolo alloy wheels shod in Michelin Pilot Sport rubber. The interior is highlighted by an air conditioning system, AM/FM radio, power windows, and a leather-wrapped De Tomaso-Ferrero steering wheel, which fronts the full suite of correct Veglia Borletti instrumentation which proudly features the De Tomaso logo. Furthermore, a competition-spec fire extinguisher system has been integrated as an additional safety measure. The free-breathing custom exhaust system does nothing to diminish the Mangusta’s throaty bark, while a modern Brembo braking system with Wilwood lines, is set to work in-tandem with custom suspension for optimal handling dynamics during spirited drives. 1970 De Tomaso Mangusta RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta by Scaglietti
The essence of the Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta was a road car that could also hold its own against the best of the contemporary racecar counterparts of the era. Following on from the 250 GT Berlinetta ‘Tour de France’, which won the race after which it was named back-to-back in 1957 and 1958, came the more agile, more efficient passo corto. It featured a shorter wheelbase at 2,400 millimetres, housed a lighter chassis, and the shape was more aerodynamic than its already-successful predecessor. Beneath the gorgeous Scaglietti-constructed bodywork lay a 3-litre example of the revered Colombo V-12. In standard specification, the motor delivered up to 240 brake horsepower via a four-speed manual gearbox. To slow it all down, for the first time in Ferrari history, a model was fitted with disc brakes as standard. Unveiled at the 1959 Paris Salon, the 250 GT SWB could be ordered by customers in either a road-biased specification, or in “Competizione” trim. The latter arrived with alloy bodywork, and a “B” variant of the Tipo 168 engine, which was equipped with more aggressive Weber carburettors, and revised camshaft profiles. A contingent of these SWBs would soon travel to lockout the top four positions in the Grand Touring 3-litre class in the 1960 edition of the Le Mans 24 Hours. For the next running of the celebrated enduro, an SWB finished a remarkable 3rd overall. Arguably, the model’s finest performance on track came in the 1960 Tourist Trophy bout at the Goodwood Motor Circuit. Aboard a privateer machine entered by Rob Walker, driver Sir Stirling Moss romped to an utterly dominant victory all while listening to the circuit commentary via the car’s radio. The Briton raced SWBs a total of eight times, remarkably winning on seven occasions. For good measure, the car returned to the Tour de France road race to earn three further triumphs. According to the research of marque historian Marcel Massini, chassis 2067 GT is the 34th 250 SWB completed out of a run of 165 cars produced between 1959 and 1962. This left-hand-drive example was ordered with a steel body and with Borletti instruments showing in kilometres. The V-12 engine and gearbox were completed on 9 August 1960, and overall construction finished two days later, when the Certificate of Origin was issued. This car, originally finished in Grigio over a Nero Connolly leather interior, as per a copy of the factory build sheet, was first registered in Milan. It was sold new from the Ferrari factory to Mr Franco Caimi for the princely sum of 5,500,000 Italian lire. This 250 SWB remained with its first keeper until the end of 1967, whereupon it was sold locally to Mr Gastone Crepaldi, owner of the city’s official Ferrari dealership. During his custodianship, chassis 2067 GT was rebodied by Modena-based Carrozzeria Sports Cars, which was co-founded by racing driver Piero Drogo, who finished 8th in the 1960 Italian Grand Prix. In keeping with changing styles, the car was clothed in much more angular, wedge-shaped bodywork. The fresh suit won over a new French keeper, who purchased chassis 2067 GT in June 1969. The following year brought another owner before the car changed hands again in 1972. Come 1974, heir to a global alcohol distributor, François de Gunzburg—from a family of Russian bankers, he would later co-invest in property with his friend, the Fiat and Ferrari chief Gianni Agnelli—buys the car for his wife, Mercedes de Gunzburg. Four years later, she would sell the 250 SWB to Parisian car dealer Patrice d'Ibarolla. Then, this example was sold to UK-based racer and collector Rob Lamplough in mid-1978. He commissioned the car to be rebodied again, with the 250 SWB returning to Modena for Carrozzeria Allegretti to dress it as a 250 GTO. It was then ready for competition. Notably, ex-sportscar and European Formula 5000 racer Mr Lamplough entered the car at the Silverstone Historic Festival race meeting in 1992. Awarded FIA historic race papers, true to the original brief for 250 SWBs, this car has also contested numerous road rallies, and has fittingly taken part in the famed Tour Auto—the continuation event inspired by the original Tour de France. Later in 1992, the car was sold to another English owner, who commissioned chassis 2067 GT to be fully restored and redressed once again as a 250 SWB, albeit this time featuring an alloy body that was painted in gun metal grey and featured a blue stripe. The car was entered in further motorsport events, before being sold in 1997 to an attorney in Washington, DC. A Belgian owner then finally had the car returned to its factory steel body specification in 2009, the complete and extensively photographed restoration carried out by Carrozzeria Autosport of Bachelli & Villa in Bastiglia, near Modena. Accordingly, this car was then certified with coveted “Red Book” status by Ferrari Classiche in 2013. After a stint with a French owner, chassis 2067 GT was sold to UK-based classic Ferrari dealer Talacrest. Then, in 2014, the car was purchased by its consigning owner. Under their ownership, the seats were retrimmed in late-2013 to the current reddish hue, plus racing harnesses installed by GTO Engineering for a total of £9,814. The marque specialist also completed a thorough service in the summer of 2020 at a cost of £6,202, before repairing the original fuel tank earlier this year. Documented with a Massini history report that records a direct chain of ownership over its rich 64-year life, this short-wheelbase 250 GT is further accompanied by a copy of its original factory build sheet and coveted “Red Book”. As an example of one of Ferrari’s most famous designs, this car is ready to be enjoyed as part of a collection, on show at marque events, or entered into its latest competitive outings. 1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta by Scaglietti RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1954 Jaguar XK120 OTS 1
According to its Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, the car shown here was manufactured on 15 March in 1954 and dispatched on 29 March to Hoffman, New York, USA. The car is presented as ordered new in the colour ‘cream’ with a red interior and a black soft top. It is a fast matching number ‘SE’ or Special Equipment model delivering 180 bhp instead of 160 bhp. At the end of 1999 the car was exported to The Netherlands in a good solid original condition but needing restoration (see picture). In the period 2000-2002 the car was frame up restored by Dutch Jaguar specialists Kolvenbach. The restoration is well documented with invoices and many pictures. Since the restoration the car has been well maintained by Jaguar specialists. The current owner bought the car in 2012 and enjoyed it very much! He participated with this car in – among others – the 2014, 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2021 Gran Premio Nuvolari rally. He informs us that he always finished without any problems. This XK120 benefits from adjustable seats while the original seat parts are with the car. Very suitable for long drivers – 190 cm length without any problems. Furthermore the car comes with chrome wire-wheels, an extra cooling fan, fog lights, aluminium radiator, Halda tripmaster, side windows, tonneau cover and a black convertible roof. The dedicated owner spent approximately 20.000 Euro maintaining the car to a high standard over the last 12 years. The bodywork shows it has had a specialist high quality restoration and also the paintwork shows very well. The body is straight and panel fit is excellent. The engine starts on the button and shows a healthy oil pressure. The Moss gearbox is not the fastest but is a delight to use. The interior is in great condition and only has some wear on the foot carpets – the leather seats are in lovely condition. The result is a superb and fast XK120 ‘SE’ Roadster in very well prepared condition! The car is Dutch (EEC) registered and is a matching number & colour ’Special Equipment’ model which comes with a nice history file and several spare items as described above. Furthermore the car comes with a FIVA historic passport. 1954 Jaguar XK120 OTS Very Superior Old Cars If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer.
