- 1967 Dino 206 S
In February 1966, Ferrari debuted a new sports-racing car formulated for the FIA’s 2-litre Group 4 class, with the direct aim of winning over the numerous privateer teams that were largely running a variety of Porsche models. Dubbed the Dino 206 S, the car was powered by the further development of the 65 degree V-6 engine that had been conceived by Enzo’s son Dino Ferrari, prior to his death in June 1956. Originally co-engineered by legendary Alfa Romeo designer Vittorio Jano, then working as a consultant for Ferrari, the Dino V-6 motor was badged with a hand scripted autograph based on the younger Ferrari’s signature. Though it was introduced as a Formula 2 powerplant, an enlarged version of the engine was subsequently used in the Formula 1 cars, carrying works driver Mike Hawthorn to a Driver’s World Championship in 1958. Whilst Ferrari’s Formula 1 cars of the early-1960s increasingly adopted 120 degree V-6 engines designed by Technical Director Carlo Chiti, the Jano-engineered 65 degree Dino engine was, nonetheless, consistently enlarged and developed in various experimental sports prototypes, including the 196 Sport, 246 Sport, the Dino SP models and the 166 P. Introduced for the 1966 racing season, the Dino 206 S appeared to be a scaled down version of the revered 330 P3, even wearing similarly ravishing coachwork care of Piero Drogo’s Carrozzeria Sports Cars in Modena. The visual appeal of Drogo’s aerodynamic body shell, which featured a combination of stressed alloy panels and fibreglass over a welded tubular semi-monocoque chassis, was beautifully complemented by the Dino V-6’s fierce performance. By the end of the 1966 race season, the 206 S had proved its mettle, earning a 2nd place finish at the Targo Florio, 2nd and 3rd at the Nürburgring and a 6th place finish at Spa. Although the 206 S was originally slated for a homologation of 50 examples, labour problems prematurely interrupted production after only 18 cars had been assembled, and the model, therefore, remains a rare and important milestone in the arc of the Dino race car’s development, as well as a cornerstone of the Ferrari road cars that followed. This example, chassis no. 032, holds a special place among Dinos as the final Drogo 206 S constructed. Out of the 18 examples, two were bodied by Pininfarina and three were coupes, making this the final of only 13 Drogo Spyders built. During the course of the Dino 206 S evolution, a variety of engine configurations were used on the cars as performance was continually optimized. Starting with a tipo 227 engine that produced around 220 hp, evolving to a tipo 231L engine that produced 235-255 hp and finally the tipo 233 engine that produced upwards of 270 hp. Chassis 032 is believed to be one of only two cars fitted with this most powerful tipo 233 engine, as well as Lucas fuel injection. Of further historical interest, the car was sold new to Naples resident Corrado Ferlaino, an Italian engineer and property developer who would later become famous for taking ownership of the Italian Football team Napoli, and bringing in Diego Maradona which resulted in multiple championships and helping the rise of Maradona’s career toward becoming one of the all-time Football greats. According to the research of Ferrari historian Marcel Massini, chassis 032 raced in several Italian hillclimbs during 1966-67. The car was subsequently serviced at the Ferrari Factory in November 1968 before being sold to a short series of Italian owners in the 1970s. By 1979 French Ferrari collector Pierre Bardinon had amassed the largest and most important collection of Ferrari sports race cars ever assembled and chassis 032, recognized as a supremely original example, was quickly added to the collection. By the 1980s chassis 032 was sold to noted Parisian Ferrari collector Jacques Setton, who had himself amassed one of the greatest Formula One collections and was a particular fan of the Dino engine. Mr. Setton subsequently sold the car to British connoisseur Robs Lamplough, former owner of both a 250 Testa Rossa and 250 LM, where it shared garage space with his mighty Ferrari 335 Sport for approximately the next decade. By 2001 chassis 032 was sold to fellow UK collector Carlos Monteverde who raced it a number of times in the Ferrari Historic Challenge. Following a collision at one of the Challenge races, it was decided to restore the car in the UK in 2003. A decade later chassis 032 found itself in another extremely prominent collection in the U.S. and in 2014 it was treated to a full restoration at the Ferrari Factory where Red Book certification was completed, noting the car has a correct type Dino 206 engine, matching numbers gearbox and original body and chassis. Offered publicly for the first time in over a decade, chassis 032 presents its next owner with an extremely rare opportunity to acquire what is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful sports racers of the 1960s. With lines directly derived from Ferrari’s legendary 330 P3/P4, the Dino 206 S makes an instant visual impact in any collection. Further, the exceptional originality of chassis 032 puts it in a class above a number of the other 206 S examples, some of which have led very challenging lives in their racing efforts. Combined with a Ferrari Factory restoration, fascinating provenance and Ferrari’s Classiche Red Book, this is truly one of the top examples worthy of the world’s most discerning Ferrari collectors. 1967 Dino 206 S RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1981 Lamborghini Countach LP 400 S by Bertone
Within the scope of the model’s twenty-six-year-long production run, Lamborghini’s iconic Countach is easily divisible into several different models, and further distinct series of cars can be identified within those. The example offered here is an LP 400 S, with chassis number 1121296 falling within the second series of LP 400 S production. These cars are recognizable for their smooth-finish wheels and lower suspension setting, as compared to the third-series cars, which feature a slightly raised suspension. Amongst the rarest variant of Countach, 237 LP 400 S were produced, and 105 of those fall within the second series of production. The Countach was built to European specifications and delivered new to Switzerland, finished in red over a beige leather interior. After remaining in Switzerland for the vast majority of its life, the car was acquired from its second owner by the most recent private owner in 2005. Aside from an engine overhaul undertaken by the first owner, which was completed by a Swiss Lamborghini specialist, the car reportedly remained in largely unrestored and original condition throughout. Driven approximately 5,000 kilometers by that owner over 10 years, it was regularly serviced during this time by an official Lamborghini distributor. In 2015, Jean Guikas became the Countach’s fourth documented owner, and it was acquired by the consignor from his collection in 2021. A longtime Lamborghini enthusiast with Italian roots, his family has restored various significant Lamborghinis over the years and claims to own one of the first Espadas produced, said to have been delivered to them by Ferruccio Lamborghini himself in 1968. Upon the consignor’s acquisition, it was decided that the Countach would undergo some cosmetic and mechanical refurbishment. Some €71,000 EUR was spent on the car, with work being entrusted to the same Italian craftsmen who do work for Lamborghini Polo Storico, Top Motors Salvioli, and Carrozzeria Meschiari. This included stripping and repainting the car in Tahiti Blue, a rare and desirable color for a Countach, while leaving the original beige interior untouched. Considering the car’s recent work, it is now ready to be driven and enjoyed, and would surely attract lots of attention whilst out and about. 1981 Lamborghini Countach LP 400 S by Bertone RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1996-porsche-911-carrera-4s-1
This 1996 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S (993) is a truly exceptional example of Porsche’s revered air-cooled era, presented in rare combination: a stunning Midnight Blue exterior over a luxurious blue soft leather interior, complete with a sunroof. Finding a 993 Carrera 4S in this striking color combination, paired with its incredibly low mileage of fewer than 50,000 km in nearly 30 years, is an extremely rare opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts. Originally delivered in Germany in January 1996, near Hannover. Due to high demand for the 993 Carrera 4S in Italy at the time, it was imported to Bologna in 1997 by the Morini Group and registered to its current owner in May 1997, with fewer than 2,000 km on the odometer. Since then, it has been carefully preserved and used sparingly yet regularly by the same owner for 28 years, ensuring its exceptional condition while maintaining its originality. What makes this example even more desirable is its outstanding specification, featuring an impressive list of factory options. This includes sports suspension, a short-ratio gearbox, heated seats for both driver and passenger, cruise control, a Becker Porsche CDR-21 CD-radio, soft leather, and a desirable sunroof. Meticulously maintained at official Porsche dealerships throughout its lifetime, the car has recently undergone a full service. It remains fully original in every component, never having been repainted, modified, or altered. The bodywork and interior are in pristine condition, reflecting the careful ownership and minimal use. The car went through a Porsche Classic Check, and is available for any inspection to confirm its authenticity and condition. The vehicle is offered with all of its original documentation, including the service book, owner’s manuals, and document holder, as well as a complete set of original tools, such as the jack, double keys, compressor, and toolkit. 1996 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S AD Sportscars If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1979 Porsche 928
If someone described a car as a rear-engine, rear-wheel drive sports car manufactured in Germany, the obvious conclusion would always be Porsche. Then, in 1977 the unthinkable happened in Stuttgart. The engine was moved to the front, two more cylinders were added, arranged in a V-formation, and for the first time since 1948 the little car company from Gmund, Austria had a true GT car for the masses: the 928. This new step forward for Porsche did not come without hurdles, but it easily solidified their ability to meet market demands and produce anything they set their minds to. The technical specifications of the 928 are interesting. As the goal was to create a Luxury GT car to (at the time) hypothetically replace the famed 911, the car needed solid attributes of previously successful V8-powered cars as well as successful GT cars. All this, while still trying to meet new US safety and Emissions regulations. As a result, the 928 had similarities to that of the Chrysler 426 Hemi with 122MM Bore spacing, and early prototypes even had a 4-barrel carburetor for testing. When it debuted at the 1977 Geneva Motor Show, it was well received due to its comfort and power as a GT car. However, it struggled to sell against the 911 and never really took off as Porsche anticipated. 18 years later, however, the 928 was still in production and saw quite a few variations, such as the S, S4, GT, and GTS models amongst others. Today the 928 has become somewhat of an icon for an era and has remained as a car with a cult-like following that still is embellished by enthusiasts around the globe. The Porsche 928 on offer here, chassis #9289201411, is a 1979 model year, built just two years into the overall Porsche 928 production cycle. It is beautifully finished in Schwarz Metallic with complimenting ‘phone dial’ wheels as well as a Pasha interior, one of the best interiors Porsche ever offered, in our humble opinion! It has been very well maintained over the years and show just 32,548 original miles. Its first owner accumulated around 19,000 miles in the 23 years of ownership before changing hands with its second owner who resided in Michigan in the year 2002. During their ownership, the car only gained another 10,000 miles over 18 years before it was realized that the car was going to sit more and more as values climbed, so the decision was made to sell it. The second owner ended up selling the 928 to Casey Putsch of Perrysburg, Ohio, in December of 2019. Casey has a large YouTube automotive channel as well as being the founder of www.geniusgarageracing.com, which specializes in automotive-focused educational programming. For the next year, he used this 928 as part of his educational content and began a light refurbishment, which included: Upholstered cloth interior with Pasha New black upholstery on the fronts of the front seats and the backs of the rear seats Leather wrap on the original steering wheel New dash switches, knobs, etc Plastic dash cover Tune CIS fuel injection After Casey’s ownership, the car made its way to Reno, Nevada, where it spent a little under 2 years, and was driven sparingly while receiving work to make it even nicer. Today this example remains in very nice overall condition, and the interior looks great thanks to the freshened/upgraded Pasha interior. The front and rear seats have been reupholstered in factory Pasha that was ordered from Germany with no signs of wear. The door panel inserts have also been upgraded to Pasha. The carpet is original, as are the floor mats and the Blaupunkt cassette radio. The underside and engine bay are very clean and also indicative of a low-mile example. The car is very dry and obviously not driven in harsh conditions. There are no signs of any prior damage or rust repairs. An extensive mechanical service was carried out within the last 3 years, as well as a full refurbishment of the air conditioning, brake, fuel, intake, vacuum systems, and much more costing well over $25,000. From our time spent enjoying this grand tourer, we admired how compliant and effortlessly fast this 928 is. EXTERIOR Body And Paint The paint is not original but is in good condition. The Schwarz Metallic paint has deep and consistent shine throughout with a wonderful shimmer in direct sunlight. The gaps and body panel lines are all straight and tight. Glass And Trim The glass throughout the car appears to be all original, with the correct SEKURIT stampings on the side windows as well as the SIGLA branding on the front windscreen. The rubber trim surrounding the windows is in acceptable condition given the car's age but could be replaced to match the redone interior. Wheels The factory ‘Phone dial’ wheels are in decent shape, showing some very minor rock chips on the rear passenger and front driver wheels. All four center caps could be replaced as the paint is chipping and faded. Notable Flaws The trim around the door windows and hatch windows need a little bit of attention. The wheels have a few very minor chips in them from use INTERIOR Seats And Surfaces The Pasha seats while original in specification have been redone at some point as well as the inserts in the door card and present in really nice condition. The dashboard cover seems to have been replaced at some point as well, leaving a small gap above the air registers. Functionality And Accessories All functions such as the A/C, radio, lights, etc are all in working order. ENGINE BAY AND TRUNK Engine Bay The engine bay remains in excellent and well-preserved condition. All the plastics are still deep and dark with correct stickers, hoses, and clamps throughout. Each body panel sticker is present as well. Trunk Area The trunk area retains the correct and original carpets and is clean and tidy. Underside A recent detail to the undercarriage reveals a well kept space with no rust or other issues to note. MECHANICALS Engine This early 928 remains in very good mechanical order. It fires to life quickly and idles smoothly. Out on the road, it makes good consistent power and climbs easily through the rev range with no stumbles or flat spots in acceleration. Transmission The transmission shifts easily through the long gears. The recently installed clutch holds power nicely, and the pedal provides proper take-up and feedback. Brakes And Suspension The brakes feel smooth and balanced, bringing the car to a controlled and issue free stop. The suspension is smooth, comfortable, and compliant. The car handles beautifully and presents no odd road behavior or noises. Tires The DOT date codes appear to show 2017, but the tires remain in excellent condition with solid side walls and plenty of tread. 1979 Porsche 928 LBI Limited If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1987 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 1
With a known history from day one, this particular Sierra Cosworth, ‘D64 XVX’, arrived with Aston Martin Tickford Limited on the 22nd April 1987 and left as a fully fledged RS500 on the 23 June 1987, believed to be the 13th produced, prior to being immediately road registered by its first custodian/keeper, the Ford Motor Company of Eagle Way in Brentford. It remained with Ford for the following twelve months and was pressed into service as a press/promotional vehicle illustrated by its appearance in What Car magazine (September 1987) within an article entitled ‘Ford’s 500’, a copy of which will accompany the vehicle. Once duties with Ford were completed, the Sierra changed hands arriving with its second and current owner on the first of June 1988. His intention was to use the car for promotional purposes once again, however, after some twelve months, work commitments dictated a move abroad and the RS500 was placed into storage, on stands, with wheels removed and covers in place, and there it has remained until this very day. Within the knowledgeable RS500 community, the car was thought to have disappeared many years ago although a number of attempts to trace it were made over the years without success. With the upsurge in interest in these rare cars, the decision was recently made by our vendor to find a new custodian for the increasingly desirable 80s homologation special, with it seeing light of day for the very first time since being interred all those years ago. With wheels refitted and covers removed, the Sierra rolled freely out of the garage to facilitate the photo shoot which accompanies this listing with the condition externally and internally being exceptional with no obvious deterioration. It is simply quite remarkable and should be considered as a 'benchmark' example with an incredibly low and warranted 12,530 miles from new. After much consideration, the decision has been made to offer D64 XVX exactly as it rolled out of storage after 32 years with no attempt being made to start, run or enhance the vehicle in any way so it should be noted that, if the new owner’s intention is to put the Sierra back on the road, a full recommissioning will be required. Your early inspection is welcomed and encouraged to fully appreciate the opportunity on offer. 1987 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 Iconic Auctioneers Ltd If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. Copyright holders who believe their rights under copyright law have been infringed are invited to follow our notice and takedown procedure as required by DMCA regulations. The notice and take down procedure is described here: https://www.speedholics.com/copyright With a known history from day one, this particular Sierra Cosworth, ‘D64 XVX’, arrived with Aston Martin Tickford Limited on the 22nd April 1987 and left as a fully fledged RS500 on the 23 June 1987, believed to be the 13th produced, prior to being immediately road registered by its first custodian/keeper, the Ford Motor Company of Eagle Way in Brentford. - 1957 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster 2
Completed by the factory in May 1957, this 300 SL Roadster was completed in ‘Elfenbein DB608’ (Ivory) over a red leather interior. Options on the build sheet include dials ‘re-written’ in English as this example was dispatched to the Mercedes-Benz in London. Supplied new to it first keeper in 1958, this 300 SL Roadster was the 16th car completed and first owned by Samuel McCrudden Jnr, proprietor of a linen and handkerchief business in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Ownership is documented by a scan of the Buff logbook in the car's accompanying history folio. His ownership was brief and the car moved back to England a year later finding residence in Berkshire with Aspro family member Maurice Nicholas, early developers of Aspirin in the 1900s. Initially their tablet had been called Nicholas' Aspirin; but later the product name was changed to Aspro formed from the last two letters of the name 'Nicholas', and the first three of the word 'Product'. The 300 SL was then sold by dealership H.R. Owen to aristocrat, wartime secret-agent, racing driver and naturalist Gavin Maxwell of Ross-shire, Scotland. A keen conservationist, Maxwell split his time between London and Scotland, driving between the two in a series of pre-war Bentleys, including a Corsica-bodied example. Maxwell would go on to own a second 300 SL roadster, the first car notably proved its engineering pedigree with a race from Sandaig to Glasgow for an otter-related emergency. A keen and enthusiastic driver, Maxwell’s biography regales adventures in 300 SLs, one of which Maxwell drove “at fantastic speed on the Moroccan roads — up to 140 mph at times, averaging nearly 98 mph from Marrakesh to Mogador...!” In 1970, the 300 SL found home with the previous and long-term form keeper. Owning the car for 33 years, well-known classic racer Mr Forsdyke took the car off the road and placed it in storage. With the intention of carrying out a total restoration, the car instead sat for an extended period in storage in a partly dismantled state. Purchased by its current custodian in 2003, a decision was made to bare-metal restore the 300 SL Roadster. Opting for the period correct shade of Anthracite Grey (DB172), the comprehensive restoration was carried out on-and-off for 15 years with Kevin O' Keeffe Restorations at a cost of £320,000. Upon completion, the roadster was wholly covered in bespoke paint protection film. Since restoration the car has covered just 2,900 miles and presents superbly. This wonderful 300 SL roadster is available to view at our showrooms outside London immediately, accompanied by an original hardtop, period tool kit with jack of the correct type, restoration file and history folio. Furthermore, an inspection report by 300 SL specialist Martin Cushway is available. 1957 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster D.K. The 1966 Shelby GT350 is a true legend of American performance, born from Carroll Shelby’s vision to transform the Ford Mustang into a race-bred machine. With its aggressive character, unmistakable sound and competition heritage, the GT350 quickly became a symbol of pure muscle and motorsport ambition. Unlike later muscle cars, early GT350s were built with handling in mind, featuring upgraded suspension and braking inspired by racing. The iconic Wimbledon white paint with Guardsman blue racing stripes became a Shelby signature and a defining look of 1960s American performance. Many GT350s from this era were raced extensively, making well-preserved examples especially desirable today. Completely prepared with upgraded parts for fast road, rallies or track days! - 1972 Ferrari 365 GTB 4 Daytona Berlinetta
15573 is an original U.S. delivery Daytona that remained with its original owner from 1973 until 2020. According to its Marcel Massini report, this example was completed at the factory on September 28, 1972, and sold new to Chinetti-Garthwaite Imports, with them concluding the sale to its original owner, who took delivery of the car in October 1973. He retained it until his passing in early 2020. Its specification included air-conditioning and power windows, and of course, its odometer was in miles/U.S. configuration. With the simplest of ownership journeys, the car has been enjoyed and cared for throughout its 52-year existence. More than a couple of decades ago it was repainted in its original Rosso Chiaro color and in recent times this has received light refreshing in the rear quarter panels. All the while, its interior looks to have never received refurbishment which is a testament to the quality of the way they were trimmed as it has worn well, with light aging and only one small tear, but nothing that would require the need to replace it, and gives the car both an 'old car smell' and period ambiance. It retains its desirable original factory tool kit and a good file amassed during its single custody. One of the greatest performance cars of the late 60s/early 70s, a Daytona is a tough, heroic Ferrari bred from two decades of success at Le Mans and other endurance events and built when the words 'speed limit' were yet to be introduced in many countries! This Daytona presents a great opportunity to experience a legendary V12 Ferrari. Beautifully presented and with low mileage, this iconic Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona is one of the very best examples currently available. With its striking design, impressive performance, and meticulous maintenance history, this Daytona is ideally suited for both driving enjoyment and as a valuable addition to any collection. The Jaguar E-type is a British automobile legend, manufactured by Jaguar between 1961 and 1975. A combination of good looks, high performance, and competitive pricing ensured the car was an instant legend. In period, a Ferrari cost three times more and supplied less horsepower which established the marque as an icon of 1960s motoring. The model became a great success for Jaguar; at its release Enzo Ferrari called it "the most beautiful car ever made". Leveraging the monocoque construction of the D-type, the design enables two advantages. The front subframe for engine mounting, suspension and steering assembly affords excellent aerodynamic properties whilst keeping weight low and more importantly, centre of gravity low. The model was made in three distinct versions which are now generally referred to as "Series 1", "Series 2" and "Series 3". A transitional series between Series 1 and Series 2 is known, unofficially, as "Series 1½", and before even the 1½, around 300 interim cars exist. The Series 1 4.2-litre roadster is often thought of as the most desirable specification E-type striking the perfect balance between the early and pure looks of the first cars with the benefit of additional torque and power from the enlarged motor. Sir Robert Ropner’s request for an E-type Lightweight for the road came after the completion of the 12 competition cars. A prominent name and an avid collector of the marque, the Browns Lane factory made it happen. Fitted with the 5-speed ZF gearbox as the lightweights did, this example is further equipped with countless details that were on the Ropner-special. The devil is truly in the details with this restoration and the combination water temperature and oil temperature gauge is arguably to greatest nod to Ropner’s exacting request lifted from his earlier XK120! From the outside, it would be a challenge to notice the differences on this E-type from when it was supplied new through Charles Hornburg of Los Angeles in July of 1967. Resplendent today in the very same British Racing Green over Suede Green interior and black soft top, perhaps the addition of period-correct Dunlop cast wheels hints at its mechanical prowess. Purchased by the current keeper five years ago form California, the car had enjoyed just two previous keepers. The first owner had enjoyed the car sparingly for a few years and after falling pregnant, placed the car into storage in 1969. The Californian ‘black plates’ were renewed until 1974, but the car would remain in dry storage for over 50 years. Boasting all original metalwork, the car was imported to the UK and sent to marque specialists E-type UK for a comprehensive bare metal restoration. Once taken back to a bare shell, it was evident that the Californian climate had been kind to the Jaguar and supported by an evident lifetime of generous care, remained completely rust-free. Just one floor panel was replaced after a misplaced jack in the late 60s had created and unfixable dent! With the bodywork being prepared for paint, a decision was made to return the car to its original close headlamp configuration. A change in U.S. law had seen the original headlight covers outlawed and Jaguar’s short-term fix was a revised chrome surround. Original chrome surrounds with lense covers were fitted. With this minor amendment carried out, the car was once more refinished in its original British Racing Green hue. Having owned several E-types previously including UPM 400, CUT7 and countless others, the restoration of this example was intended from the start to be the ultimate iteration. Supporting a fascinating engine build, this E-type further received a wealth of upgrades with both performance and reliability in mind. 5- speed gearbox Fuel-injection Vented discs and 4 pot E-Type UK calipers Fully-adjustable cable-operated throttle assembly Aluminium radiator and header tank Modern electronic cooling fans Oil cooler Full tubular stainless steel big bore exhaust system Uprated anti-roll bars Uprated torsion bars Fully adjustable suspension front and back The engine has been stroked from the original 4.2-litre unit to 4.7-litres, allied to E-Torque’s bespoke ‘twin-spark’ cylinder head with electronic fuel injection. Integration of a new ECU sees the twin spark plugs per cylinder optimising combustion efficiency, power delivery and responsiveness. The result of this engine work sees this E-type deliver 430 bhp paired with a thumping 390 lb ft, a power to weight ratio that rivals a Porsche 991 Turbo! 0-60 drops well below 5 seconds and the top speed is north of 160 mph; in-gear is where this example really shines. Intended as the ultimate ‘fast-road’ E-type, this example further benefits from fully adjustable front suspension, four-pot calipers over vented disc brakes, performance anti-roll bars and torsion bars and a five-speed gearbox. The interior sees lightweight, period bucket seats trimmed in Suede Green as per original specification. A subtle Retrosound headunit blends in seamlessly and a series of upgrade dials are installed to monitor oil temperature and pressure along with a water temperature gauge. Fresh from its comprehensive restoration, this one-of-a-kind E-type pairs a wealth of motorsport learnings with the ultimate and arguably prettiest road going form to provide the ultimate ‘fast-road’ experience. With every inch of this restoration paying tribute to Ropner’s special, this meticulously restored E-type is ready for its next custodian. This stunning E-type is available to view at our showrooms immediately, accompanied by its history folio, spare key and fully documented restoration book. 1967 Jaguar E-type 4.7 Twin-Spark D.K. - 1978-chevrolet-corvette-c3
The Chevrolet Corvette C3, launched in 1968, is one of the most iconic American muscle cars, known for its aggressive styling and powerful V8 engines. This first-year model has all the charm of a true classic and is a great example of the legendary « Shark » generation. This particular Corvette was built in April 1968 at the original St. Louis factory in Missouri, making it one of the early and original C3s. It is a matching numbers model, which adds to its collectibility and authenticity. Finished in its original striking Le Mans Blue (code 976) with a black leather interior, this Corvette was first delivered in the United States. This exclusive color was only available for the 1968 model year, making it particularly sought-after by collectors. It takes its name from the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit, reinforcing the car’s sporting and prestigious image. The deep, vibrant metallic blue is highly distinctive and accentuates the sculpted curves of the C3 beautifully. It’s powered by a 5.7L V8 engine (350ci) with a single, double-body carburetor, completely analog and without electronics, staying true to the raw driving feel of the era. Coupled with a manual gearbox, it’s a real pleasure to drive for anyone who enjoys a more involved and authentic driving experience. The simplicity of the mechanical setup also makes it easier and more cost-effective to maintain. With its bold look and unmistakable character, it’s a car made for enthusiasts who like to stand out. It has 64,648 miles on the clock and is in very good condition. The car was owned by a U.S. citizen and was imported to Germany after having gone through a full restoration, including repainting in its original Le Mans Blue. Numerous key components were replaced during the restoration, including the suspension, brakes, dampers, engine alternator, and air conditioning compressor. It was later rated 2+ during an expert appraisal in 2015 by German specialists. Documentation includes multiple TÜV and inspection reports confirming the excellent condition of the vehicle. Here are some highlights from its history: First registered on July 1st, 1968 November 2011: registered in Jacksonville, Florida August 2015: technical inspection done August 2016: registered in Germany June 2017: change of owner in Germany Mid-2020: imported and registered in Belgium with one owner The car has always been maintained by professional specialists since its arrival in Europe. The body looks great, with clean chrome details and quality paintwork. The black leather interior is in good shape, and overall, the car shows very well. Notably, this example features the desirable original double chrome bumpers at the front and rear, a signature detail of the early C3 models. This Corvette is also equipped with several factory options, some rare for 1968, including electric windows, air conditioning, power steering, and power brakes. Another distinctive feature of this early version is the removable rear window, a unique design element not found in later models. In short, a solid and highly collectible example of a classic American sports car, in excellent condition, well-documented, and fitted with desirable options and a manual transmission. The car can be viewed at our showroom in Zaventem, just 10 minutes from Brussels Airport.
