  • 1954 Porsche 356

The Porsche 356 occupies a special place in automotive history, as it laid the foundations for the legendary Porsche brand. The brainchild of the visionary Ferdinand 'Ferry' Porsche, the 356 (the brand's 356th design) became the first production car to bear the Porsche name and paved the way for the iconic sports cars that would follow. Launched in 1948, the 356 quickly became recognized for its distinctive design, superb engineering and outstanding performance, cementing its status as a classic icon that continues to captivate enthusiasts around the world. It was thanks to the 356 that the manufacturer succeeded in making a name for itself and producing the hyper-powerful and prestigious models we know today. The origins of the Porsche 356 date back to the aftermath of the Second World War, when company founder Ferdinand Porsche and his son Ferry set out to create a sports car that combined performance and practicality. Using parts from the Volkswagen Beetle, the first Porsche prototype, known as "No. 1" or "Porsche 356-001" was created : using its rear engine, aerodynamic design and lightweight construction as the basis of the 356 series. The Porsche 356 went through several iterations during its production period, from 1948 to 1965. The first models, often referred to as "Pre-A", featured a two-piece windscreen and various design elements borrowed from the Volkswagen Beetle. Over the years, the 356 evolved into the 'A', 'B' and 'C' series, each marked by refinements and improvements. The distinctive shape of the 356, with its elegant curves, iconic round headlights and sloping roofline, has become synonymous with timeless elegance. The attention to detail in its design, combined with precision engineering, has contributed to the car's enduring appeal. In the United States, this difference takes on a particular significance and becomes a real opposition, as it is hard to imagine two types of cars more antinomic than an American car and a 356. Despite being at the opposite end of the American way of driving, it was to conquer the market on the other side of the Atlantic. Dressed in round and smooth lines, the myth was born in the guise of a beetle. But to get away from a style that had become archaic and to straighten out a line that was undeniably sluggish, the stylistic evolution of the 356 gave the car a few angles. As skillful as they were discreet, these alterations nevertheless preserved the car's original and endearing personality. Beneath its elegant bodywork, the Porsche 356 benefits from innovative engineering that sets it apart from its contemporaries. The configuration of rear engine and rear-wheel drive, a design philosophy also inherited from the Beetle, offered exceptional handling and agility. Lightweight construction, with aluminium body panels, contributed to the car's impressive power-to-weight ratio at the beginning. The 356 also had various engine options over the years, with air-cooled flat-four engines becoming a hallmark of Porsche sports cars. Collaboration with renowned engine builder Ernst Fuhrmann led to improvements in performance and reliability, cementing the 356's reputation both on the road and on the racetrack. The 356 borrowed a lot from the Beetle! In addition to its platform and torsion bar suspension, it has the same air-cooled four-cylinder engine, with a displacement reduced to 1086 cm3. Thus, rigged with forty modest horsepower (140 km/h), the 356/1100 continued its career until 1954. In April 1951, the 1300 version was launched, and in the autumn of the same year, the first 1500 cm3 with 60 bhp appeared. October 1952 saw the launch of the 1500 Super, with a now respectable 70 bhp. A major event was the introduction of Porsche's famous four-speed gearbox. Finally, the same year saw the appearance of the legendary American roadster, built at the request of Max Hoffmann, Porsche's importer in the United States. It was a forerunner of the Speedster, which appeared in September 1954. In the autumn of 1955, the 356 gave way to the 356 A. More comfortable, this second generation (excluding the Carrera) was built around two engines, the old 1300 and a new 1600 cm3. The 356 in racing: The Porsche 356 quickly earned its stripes on the racetrack, establishing Porsche as a force to be reckoned with in motor sport. Successes in events such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Mille Miglia and the Carrera Panamericana highlighted the 356's reliability, speed and overall performance. All these race victories played a crucial role in shaping the brand's identity and contributed to the car's popularity with sports driving enthusiasts. The reputation of the Porsche 356 has been earned above all in motor racing. Light, maneuverable, and equipped with a lively engine, it won the first edition of the "European Rally Championship” in 1953. It won the competition again in 1961 and the same year won the Rally Germany. The Porsche 356 won all 4 editions of the 'Liège-Rome-Liège' race (1952, 1954, 1957, 1959). It also won the 1956 Press on Regardless Rally and the 1960-1963 European Hill climb Championship. Although production of the Porsche 356 ceased in 1965, its legacy lives on. The car's timeless design, combined with its historical importance and racing pedigree, made it a sought-after collector's item, but it also paved the way for the iconic models that followed, notably the 911. Thus, thanks to a policy of small steps, which ensured a slow but steady rise in power, the 356, born with 40 bhp in 1950, culminated twelve years later with 130 bhp and almost double the engine capacity. The last 356 C left the production line in April 1965, a year after the launch of the 911. But the 356 would survive on its own through this new model, which was an extrapolation of it. With its reputation, Porsche ended up seducing a number of famous personalities. Owners of the 356 included former French President Georges Pompidou and King Beaudoin. Hollywood stars such as James Dean also succumbed to the charms of this emblematic model from the German manufacturer. Our Porsche 356 is a Pre-A from 1954: The current owner bought the car in 2015 from Automobilia in Reims with the aim of taking part in historic races such as the Tour Auto and the Tour de Corse. The car is in FIA GTS Race specification with a 136bhp engine and bespoke gearbox. The car will evolve with the races, notably at DG Racing in Yenne, where the engine was recently rebuilt. Our 356 has taken part in several Tour Auto events, including an index of performance victory in 2022. It is now sold ready to race with a revised gearbox. Eligible for the major historic events: Tour Auto, Le Mans Classic... this car is the absolute weapon to win the index. 1954 Porsche 356 Historic Cars If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1957 AC Aceca Bristol 1

The small Bristol-powered racer, designed by John Tojeiro in the early 1950s, was a great success in competition with Cliff Davis. AC Cars, renowned for its sporty models but with an ageing range, was looking for a new model and took a keen interest in Tojeiro's small car and decided to put it into production in 1954, under the name Ace. The Tojeiro bodywork was virtually a carbon copy of the beautiful Touring designed Ferrari 166 MM barchetta and was carried over to the Ace with minor modifications. It was based on a ladder chassis with independent suspensions, inspired by the Cooper that John Tojeiro had also designed. However, AC did not use the Bristol engine for its model, preferring to stick with the good old 2 litre long stroke six cylinder engine with overhead camshaft. It was designed in 1919 and its modest 80 hp was a bit too much for a modern sports car. The engine was increased to 100 hp, which gave the Ace a respectable, but not spectacular, performance. A very attractive and original fastback coupé version, designed by Alan Turner and named Aceca, was unveiled at Earls Court in London in 1954. Its body was constructed from hand-formed aluminum sheet and was supported by a tubular truss. To reduce the resonance box effect in the passenger compartment, AC mounted the components on rubber blocks. The tubular chassis was more solidly built than that of the Ace. The Aceca was a very attractive, light and well powered GT car. The Ace and Aceca helped to restore AC's pre-war notoriety among sports connoisseurs. The Ace and Aceca underwent very few changes during their careers, apart from the replacement of the engine in 1956, when the more powerful 2-litre Bristol six-cylinder (up to 130 bhp) became available. Towards the end of production, the excellent 2.6 litre Ford Zephyr engine, light and small for its displacement, was finally adopted. The combination of a stiff chassis that held the road well and an interesting power-to-weight ratio - with the Bristol engine the car was already reaching 190 km/h - allowed the Ace version to achieve many racing successes in the production Sport class, its best result being seventh place overall and first in class at Le Mans in 1959. The rest of the story is known. This well-born car was chosen by Carroll Shelby to install a Ford V8 in its specially strengthened chassis, giving birth to the mythical Cobras which definitively took AC out of a restricted circle of connoisseurs and gave it international recognition. BE625 was first registered in 1957, making it eligible for the Mille Miglia. It is one of only 169 Bristol-powered Acecas produced. The green Log-Book shows the first owners, and the Club notes that this is the first Aceca to leave the factory with disc brakes as standard. We know this car well, having crossed paths many times with its previous owner, who has used it a lot since he bought it in 2017. Since then, a great deal of work has been carried out to ensure not only reliability, but also comfort on long-distance journeys. A gearbox rebuild by Stanton Motorsports in 2018. Classic Performance Engineering provided full Aceca maintenance, including a complete differential rebuild in 2020. As for the engine, Pendine Works has completely rebuilt its rare 100C2, installing a new clutch at the same time. For our part, we recently had the water pump replaced and carried out some maintenance by the Parisian workshop we work with. As the previous owner was the grandson of the founder of Bristol Cars, he has also included in the history copies of a fascinating correspondence between Bristol Cars and AC. This is an exceptionally well-maintained example, ready for many miles. Always perfectly maintained, with a beautiful backrest, it's ready to hit the road for the next Tour Auto, or the Mille Miglia. 1957 AC Aceca Bristol Historic Cars If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1965 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C

There is simply no other American icon of performance that rises above the 427 Shelby Cobra. Since its release, the Cobra mystique has captivated enthusiasts with ground-pounding performance, breathtaking design, and of course, Shelby bravado. Critical to their ongoing success years after release, several modern iterations and replicas have been developed for a wide range of enthusiasts. But through all the years, changes, and history, aluminum bodied Shelby-built Cobras still reign as the ultimate example of one of the greatest American sports/competition cars ever constructed. In 1961 when Carroll Shelby and AC motors launched the Cobra, it became an immediate success. Everybody loved Shelby’s unique blend of spicy Texas-chili charm and Hollywood charisma. Like Shelby himself, the unapologetic, brash 289 Cobra delivered 0-60 times in an astonishing 4.9 seconds, beating out all competitors with a powerplant that offered the rare combination of performance and durability. Cobras racked up hundreds of race victories making legends of Ken Miles, Pete Brock, and Phil Remington as much as Shelby himself. Then came the 427. Not merely a 289 with a larger motor, the new 427 Cobra featured a handmade steel frame, hand formed aluminum body, and muscular fenders to allow for impossibly wide tires. The stance, power, and brutish delivery were jaw-dropping in both visual and performance categories. No car dared to approach the Cobra. And just as quickly as the legend came to be, production ceased, leaving Shelby American with several leftover frames and components. As Shelby would do in the decades to come, he quickly pivoted to new ventures, while remaining frames stood dormant at Shelby American. In the 1980s as more and more Cobras were beginning to enter the market, prices for original Cobras began to rise. By the 1990s Shelby himself, exhausted from litigating against others who were building cars using his names and likenesses, decided to return to making his own distinct and legendary cars, just as he had in the 1960s. The first of these Shelby American CSX 4000 series cars is believed to have been constructed in the early 1990s with production moving slowly by individual purchases to exclusive clientele. Built in Las Vegas, Nevada at Shelby manufacturing headquarters, these cars were available with either fiberglass or aluminum bodies, the latter of which were priced significantly higher and took longer to complete. CSX4187 is a genuine aluminum-bodied Shelby American 427 Cobra. In addition to being a rare factory built 4000 series 427 Cobra, this car was built using a rare all-aluminum 427 side oiler engine. The car was built with the following options: 427 wide hip aluminum body 427 cu. in. aluminum block V8 Side Oiler Dual Holley 4 bbl carburetors Tremec 5-speed transmission Correct tubular suspension arms Outside filler fuel cap Chrome roll bar Wood steering wheel Removable soft top with side curtains 15” Trigo knock off wheels Factory chrome side pipes Rack and Pinion steering Disc brakes Rear axle ratio 3.77 Constructed with better cooling, more insulation, and improved materials, the CSX 4000 series cars were delivered with Shelby American MSOs signed by Shelby himself. This car was finished in Whittington Green with black leather interior and delivered to All Pro Cars in Muncy, PA on November 8, 2001. In addition to being listed in the Shelby World Registry, this car enjoyed singular ownership until 2014 when the current owner purchased the car at the 2014 Dallas Leake Auction. In March 2022 Bob Smith Coachworks, Gainesville, TX installed a new Fuel Safe Systems replacement bladder for the fuel cell, installed two QBT RED 6V batteries, and tested the car for proper operation. In August 2022, this Cobra was serviced by marque experts at Cobra Performance Inc., Martinez, Ca. The lower metal and upper radiator hoses were replaced, both master cylinders replaced, valve cover gaskets replaced, and the carburetors were both serviced with new carburetor kits. The brake system was bled, new coolant installed, and the car was tested for operation. A new set of tires were balanced and installed. Today the distinctive wide fender arches and muscular stance of the legendary 427 create a menacing appearance perfectly matched to this beautifully finished Cobra. Outfitted with a chrome roll bar, chrome bumper ends, chrome plated side pipes, and true knock-off wheels, the visual impact is impressive. The green paint is very well done throughout accentuating the lurid curves and undulations of the epic 427 aluminum bodywork. The exterior trim, riveted hood scoop, and polished aluminum fuel filler cap all contribute to the powerful presence of this car. The lights, lenses, and emblems are in excellent condition while the knock off wheels display a fine polished alloy finish with painted casting centers and raw cast knockoffs with safety wires, similarly matching the original Halibrand designs. The stance is perfect, filling the flared fenders with ample rubber, though the tires currently mounted are out of date. The stance and presence of this 427 evokes a competition feel beguiling the street trim these cars offered. Correct touches include a racing style side view mirror, aluminum finish side vents, and raised cowl and deck fittings to facilitate the black tonneau cover attachment. A single pane windscreen leans back on the cowl, flanked by Cobra branded twin plexiglass side screens and tinted sun visors. The interior has been faithfully depicted with leather seating surfaces correctly contoured with proper pleat lines, black carpeting, and black door panels. The driver’s seat is now gently relaxed with a hint of use, consistent with the 3,200 indicated miles. The dashboard and instruments are properly arrayed with correct original type dial faces displaying beautiful numeric details and chrome trim. A chrome plated fire extinguisher is mounted in place ahead of the 5-speed shifter. The chrome roll bar is outfitted with a Simpson seat belt anchored to the roll bar. A pair of recently replaced 6V batteries are located behind the seats. The brake and clutch foot pedals are CS branded delivering a nice detail to the key control elements in charge of regulating the massive power of this potent beast. A wood-rimmed Shelby steering wheel exhibits a handsome warm tone proudly displaying the red, white, and blue Shelby center emblem. Under the hood, the all-aluminum 427 side-oiler engine is purposefully topped with twin Holley 4bbl carburetors and twin chrome air cleaners. Correctly finished details throughout include cast aluminum and black CS Shelby valve covers, painted surge tank, and raw aluminum inner fender panels. A contemporary aluminum Fluidyne radiator, electric fan, upgraded lines and fittings, and silicone resistor core spark plug wires are welcome modern enhancements to the driving experience. The engine compartment and powerful engine display correct finishes with appropriately deserving attention to detail including a Shelby American manufacturers plate and stamped frame member, both of which bear the CSX 4187 number. The trunk is correctly finished with exposed aluminum panels and painted black frame construction members, twin fuel pumps, and roll bar support braces. The underside of the car is exemplary in finish and detail with beautifully prepared and preserved components consistent with the reported ownership, Shelby American construction methods, and indicated mileage. This Cobra is accompanied by two tonneau covers, a soft convertible top (material only, no armature or top bows), side curtains, a knockoff hammer, a pair of cloth gloves, tire inflator canister, a car cover and bag, and a zippered tool case. This Shelby American CSX 4000 series 427 Cobra represents a rare opportunity to purchase a uniquely constructed roadster with known history and documented ownership since construction, Shelby history, and superb cosmetics. Legendary design coupled with Shelby construction, CSX 4187 is a captivating part of Shelby motorsports history, delivered as a ready-to-drive roadster, eagerly awaiting to reward the driving ambitions of the next fortunate owner. 1965 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C Fantasy Junction If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The notice and take down procedure is described here: https://www.speedholics.com/copyright There is simply no other American icon of performance that rises above the 427 Shelby Cobra. • 1973 Jensen Interceptor Series III

The Grand Tourers Collection was curated by a now deceased gentleman, who amassed some 38 cars at one stage. Each car stands on its own merits, and represents an era of stylish roadsters and hand-built coupes. Offered at No Reserve, the cars are worthy of serious attention. The Interceptor was as much Italian as British, designed as it was by Carrozzeria Touring with the bodyshells built by Vignale before being delivered to the West Bromwich factory to be paired with the inimitable 6.3-litre Chrysler V8 and mechanicals. When new, the Interceptor cost substantially more than an Aston Martin and was double the price of an E-Type Jaguar. One would struggle to find a connection between Frank Sinatra and Sir Matt Busby but both drove an Interceptor. The celebrity ownership list is extensive whilst the Interceptor's appearance on a slew of glamourous TV action series during the period gave the car a certain louche, playboy image. The Interceptor III, introduced in 1971, had a revised front grille, headlamp finishers and bumper treatment. It had GKN alloy wheels and air conditioning as standard, and revised seats. It was divided into G-, H-, and J-series depending on the production year. The 6.3-litre 383 ci engine was superseded by the 7.2-litre 440 ci in 1971. Jensen had fallen on hard times by 1975, owing to the then world-wide recession, and to problems with its Jensen-Healey sports car. The company was placed into receivership and the receivers allowed production to continue until the available cache of parts was exhausted. Production of the Interceptor ended in 1976, marking the end of an era. First registered on 1st September 1973, the incredibly detailed history file shows evidence of decades of maintenance from marque specialists, including the renowned Cropredy Bridge Cars. Offered from six year prior ownership, this charming car is presented with an odometer reading of 55,598 miles at the time of cataloguing, along with reams of receipts and a fresh MOT for the sale. A lovely example tantalizingly offered at without Reserve and worthy of serious attention. 1973 Jensen Interceptor Series III Iconic Auctioneers Ltd If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1986 Porsche 928S

‘I wanted to build cars that were not something to everyone, but meant everything to some’ – Ferdinand Porsche The introduction of the Porsche 928 S in 1978 left the public confused, intended to replace the legendary 911. This complete 911 overhaul included a bulky V8 engine at the front, then suddenly no need to add extra weight in the front bumpers. One of the striking features of the 928 is its exceptional weight distribution. The 928’s transmission is rear-mounted for better weight distribution, as is the transaxle. This has characteristic features of the 928: the well-known Weissach axle. This is the rear axle that gets its name from Porsche’s R&D centre. The result creates solid biting grip and stability when cornering. This makes the 928 S a mid-corner killer that lets you accelerate briskly with plenty of grip. Fun fact: The Weissach axle is a forerunner of today’s active steering. Porsche never ceases to amaze us anyway. Above all, let’s not forget its looks. With its Porsche design and 1980s lines, the 928 S is a real eye-catcher of its time. This example has had a neat working life in Germany. Made a strong impression over the years with its special colour combination. Weinrot leather interior with Rauchquarz Metallic Exterior. No way, it has nothing to do with a German wine farmer who started transporting his red wine barrel and flew a bit enthusiastically over the bumps. Just a unique colour combination! On top of that, the M28/21 eight-cylinder delivers 310HP, mated to a manual transmission. • 1997 Subaru Impreza WRX STi Type R

One of only 20 homologation cars built by Prodrive for the 1997 WRC (12 Group A, four Group N and four Recce). Used as a 'recce' car by Indonesian Rally champion, Tonny Hardianto, in his World Championship campaign, and returned to the UK in 1998. The MY Impreza WRX STI Type R was introduced to the Japanese Domestic Market in January 1997 and remained available until August of that year. Utilising the two-door bodyshell it had several features aimed directly at homologation for rallying. This is the vehicle that Prodrive used for its Group N customer cars and was also the donor vehicle for the Group A WRC in 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2000. The two-door body is slightly stronger/stiffer than the four-door RA and a solid rear bulkhead increased torsional stiffness even further. Apart from the bodyshell, differences between the Type R and the JDM four-door STi models included a short-ratio gearbox, an adjustable Electromechanical Center Differential (DCCD), the absence of ABS, Intercooler water spray, two opposed pistons on the rear brake calipers (instead of four) and some cosmetic differences like rear tinted glass, a radio/aerial delete, Oxford Blue dash clocks and the 555 SWRT seats. The Type R was also the first Impreza STi to have a high-rise rear spoiler and colour-matched side skirts, the standard STI models only benefitted from the larger spoiler and coded side-skirts the following year. This Type R, GC8056980, was one of the 20 cars provided by Subaru in early 1997 for their rally team, Prodrive, to use for their 1997 and 1998 World Rally Championship campaign. Prodrive worked their magic on this select group of Subarus and converted them to WRC-spec cars for team and customer entries plus a small number of Recce cars. We understand that 12 were prepared to Group A regulations, four for Group N and four as Recce cars. P800 WRC was built for recces and was purchased, alongside his WRC car, by Indonesian Rally champion, Tonny Hardianto, as part of his World Championship campaign. It was built with bash guards to protect the engine, final drive and fuel tanks, fitted with a full Kevlar underfloor and the standard ‘red top’ engine was thought to be sufficient at 275bhp. We understand that it was used on just two events, the 1997 WRC event in Indonesia and the Indonesian National Rally. The cars were on a ‘Carnet’ and returned to the UK in late 1997 to be sold. The renowned Bill Gwynne snapped up this leading technology pair, selling this car to the Enduro biker and rally driver, David Rayner, who registered it as B2 WRX and kept it as an adrenaline-generating road car for over 40,000 road miles over nearly ten years. Shortly after his purchase, our vendor arranged for WRC specialists, Autosportif Engineering, to rebuild the engine and to check the rest of the package. It remains exactly as it was built with the exception of a 'Group N' baffled sump and a longer final-drive suitable for UK-motorway speeds. The car comes with a second set of wheels, engine bash guard, spare low-ratio gearbox and final-drive together with a standard exhaust system. It will have a fresh MOT prior to the sale and is accompanied by its V5C, items of correspondence and the usual invoices etc. This is a rare car indeed, one of only a few hundred MY97 Type Rs, one of only 20 selected by the factory to be sent to Prodrive, and one of only four built to a ‘recce’ specification. 1997 Subaru Impreza WRX STi Type R Iconic Auctioneers Ltd If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1992-aston-martin-virage-volante

The Aston Martin Virage Volante from the 1990s is a rare and particularly luxurious grand tourer that belongs to Aston Martin’s transitional period – it was one of Aston Martin’s last true “handcrafted cars” before the complete takeover by Ford. The Aston Martin Virage Volante offered here is a very early example and probably the first left-hand drive of the series with chassis no. #2. Of the approximately 234 examples built, only about 90-100 were left-hand drive. It was delivered new to a Swiss collection in November 1992 in red with a gray Connolly leather interior and the rare 5-speed manual transmission by Roos Engineering in Frauenkappelen. The car was then sold from the aforementioned collection in July 1999 with just under 3,000 km on the odometer and was registered for road use for the first time. This beautiful Aston Martin Virage Volante has been regularly serviced by Aston Martin experts and is in completely original condition with just about 30,000 km. The on-board folder with all original documents such as the owner’s handbook, operating instructions, and the complete and neatly kept service booklet and exhaust maintenance document are available. 1992 Aston Martin Virage Volante Lutziger Classic Cars AG If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1970 Shelby Cobra SR

Cobra SR V8 Supercharged 385 hp. RHD. 1970. Only for bad boys The mythical AC Cobra was born at the beginning of the 60s thanks to the imagination of racing driver Caroll Shelby who had the idea to implement a V8 inside the AC Bristol chassis in order to beat Ferrari in competition. Initially the AC Bristol received a straight 6 engine and competed in Europe, it arrived at the 7 th position at Le Mans 1959 winning the 2-liters’ category. So according to Shelby’s demand, the AC founders Hurlock brothers modified their chassis to receive the Ford V8 260, giving birth to the first Cobra. Then it has been several evolutions and engines on the AC Cobra that has been produced until 1969. Owing to its great success, the Cobra has been produced as well by few other manufacturers such as Southern Roadcraft in order to perpetuate the myth and eventually bring some improvements. That’s how brothers Ian and Brian Nichols, renowned Southern Roadcraft founders for their high quality work and superior engineering, decided to produced their own Cobra called SR V8 with an improved chassis and a luxury interior. This impressive Cobra Southern Roadcraft was delivered the 13 th October 1970 and holds the chassis number 1U2603DN. It received a restoration in 2007 including new red and gold painting, chassis and gearbox renovation and a new 4.2 V8 supercharged engine from the specialist Trafford Competition Engines. It brings a renewed personality to this Cobra with its Cosworth race pistons, Group A rods, balanced crankshaft, AP racing clutch and Magnusson 110 Supercharger producing 385 horsepower and the phenomenal torque of 488 Nm at 3000 rpm! This power is transferred to the wheel via a Jaguar IRS rear axle with limited slip differential, the inboard brakes and double rear shock absorbers suspensions ensure a better behavior. Even though this beast cannot hide its muscles and to drive it requires self control and authority to tame it, the sound produced is incredible and the accelerations are exceptional. This car has been owned by Tony Croft from 2006 and participated several times to the Shelsley Walch, the oldest race in the world still using its original course. Today this Cobra is with UK papers, it runs perfectly and will be delivered with all its bills since 2006. This impressive Cobra Southern Roadcraft is definitely destined to a tough driver who feels ready to manage such power monster. In very good condition with a strong character, it is a rare opportunity to feel Caroll Shelby’s idea of sport car. 1970 Shelby Cobra SR Franco Lembo A.S.P Automobilia SARL If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1976 Jaguar XJ 4.2C

Where the E-type stood for pace, the XK for grace, the XJ stood for space. A wonderfully spacious tourer packed with class, Jaguar’s flagship where they loved to show off all their gadgets and new gizmos. The fastest four-seater in the world when the car first rolled off the assembly line. The car was rarely delivered as a coupé anyway, which now makes this a real collector’s item. Anyway, enough about investment and performance, let’s talk about what lasting impression this car leaves behind. After all, a Jaguar driver also knows that you have to drive this car with respect. That means that the sports hangover of yesteryear should purr quietly, not roar. It is sometimes said in the car world, the car looks like its owner. However, this tomcat also knows how to take the owner with her grandeur. Indeed, when you get in, you immediately get the feeling that you know about opera, wine, politics and poetry. Ours? Dutch delivered! A 6-cylinder what feels slightly more favourable in terms of consumption and weight ratio than the 12-cylinder and can still slot in well. Fully taken care of on the operating table so you can enjoy this classic car carefree. To top it all off, fully documented too! • 1956-mercedes-benz-190sl-roadster

Charming early production example with partial original paint. Much recent service work. Long term west coast car. General History Introduced at the 1954 New York Auto Show alongside the 300SL Gullwing, the 190SL was a glamorous and affordable way to enjoy Mercedes quality with open coachwork. Principally motivated by US distributor and marketing pioneer of European imports, Max Hoffmann, the 190SL positioned Mercedes-Benz as a premier brand in the growing North American market. Priced at around $4,000, the 190SL was roughly half the price of the 300SL, making it an attractive alternative with easily serviced mechanicals. The enticing value coupled with irresistible looks motivated nearly 26,000 buyers to purchase these sporting cars between 1955 and 1963, generating a far greater market impact over the lower volume 300SL. The 1900cc SOHC engine with twin Solex carburetors coupled to the 4-speed transmission, delivered spirited driving for the day, supported by double-wishbone, coil spring front suspension and swing axle coil spring rear suspension. Today, the 190SL remains an attractive and highly desirable classic, blending elegant open motoring with modest mechanicals. History of this Example This 190SL is believed to have been a west coast car for most of its life. History of ownership includes Tacoma, WA 1979-1984 as well as Bellevue and Seattle, WA from 1996-2018 (under the same ownership), continuing residence in the Seattle area up to current ownership. Under previous ownership, in 2011, this 190 SL was entrusted to Mercedes-Benz, Bellevue. WA where it was treated to mechanical and cosmetic work. Invoices accompanying the car for this period include fluid and filter changes, belt replacement, a new valve cover gasket, shift linkage repair, various gasket replacements, rear brake repair, and electrical repairs. Though much of the service history is not supported by invoices, the quality of finishes and mechanical performance are consistent with care and preparation for a driver level 190 SL that can be enjoyed as is or slowly restored over time. In preparation for consignment, Burlingame Motors Inc., Burlingame, CA reviewed the car, performed a compression test returning 145, 150, 150, and 140, installed a new correct 190 SL fuel tank, cleaned out the filter petcock, and replaced a fuel line. General Condition Today this 190SL presents as a combination of a preserved and partially restored West Coast, dry climate car with enjoyably used cosmetics, reflecting an honest blend of original and refurbished features. The car has been thoughtfully enjoyed and cared for with authenticity in mind. The yellow paint is smooth with generally good gloss and smooth coverage. The paint has been metered with a digital paint meter returning thickness results in the lower single digits on all panels consistent with original paint. Lower areas in the rear portion of the car returned higher paint meter readings indicative of refinishing and blending into the original paint. Though the paint shows signs of age, the overall presentation invites driving enjoyment without concerns associated with maintaining perfection. The hood, doors, and trunk exhibit very good panel gaps and solid latching. The exterior chrome is in very good condition, with good luster and bright reflections on the bumpers. All lenses, lighting, and glass are in very good condition. The windshield is a more recent replacement in very good condition, while the side glass shows correct Sekurit brand etching. A set of original type painted slotted steel wheels are fitted wearing trim rings and center hubcaps. A set of matching Vredestein Classic 175 SR13 tires are mounted. The recently replaced canvas convertible top is the correct type with correct headliner and a clear plastic rear window which all of which are in excellent condition The interior is a combination of preservation and older restoration offering a rewarding and cohesive presence once again inviting the driving experience. The seats, door panels, and dash pad are in very good condition. The dashboard is particularly nice, arrayed with preserved gauges showing authentic light patina to the dial faces and surprisingly nice chrome finishes. The excellent condition of the chrome bezels and refined detailing of the dash, steering wheel and other interior elements are a delightful blend of originality and selective restoration. The interior door panels, armrests, and various trim are all present and in harmony with the overall finishes. The correct vinyl floor covering appears to have been more recently replaced while the rear carpeted area remains quite nice, likely replaced some years ago. The trunk is very clean and properly finished in satin black including the satin black trunk lid underside, correct fluted rubber trunk mat, and a matching full sized spare tire is properly mounted in the wheel tub with the factory retaining clamp in place. Lifting the hood, the inner front fender metal folds still retain factory spot welding indicative of factory assembly. The engine compartment is tidy and mechanically sound displaying correct parts, a correct aluminum cam cover, and twin Solex carburetors, which are believed to be original. The heater boxes, often collapsed or damaged, remain in very good condition. The various and correct Mercedes-Benz numbers, build plates, and stampings are all consistent with the body and chassis sequences for original cars. The engine has a correct engine stamping and a matching riveted engine plate. The chassis is in generally good condition representative of a generally preserved car showing no visual evidence of structural compromise to the floor pans or suspension mounting points. The chassis has been undercoated, and one area appears to have been patched at some point in the past, but the overall integrity of the chassis floor is quite good considering nearly 70 years of age. This 190SL starts, stops, and drives with very good to excellent driving manners consistent with the overall presentation. As is often the case with cars titled and registered many years ago, this car is titled using the engine number 219216502641. 1956 Mercedes-Benz 190SL Roadster Fantasy Junction If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1989 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary

Sandro Munari and Horacio Pagani. To appreciate the lengths Lamborghini went to ensure the car with which it would mark its 25th anniversary was truly worthy, you only needed a glance at the two names drafted in to help develop it. In truth, when Chrysler assumed control of Lamborghini in the 1980s, it had rather hoped that the new Diablo would be ready in time for the marque’s landmark birthday. Alas, it wasn’t to be, so focus instead turned to the trusty Countach, Lamborghini’s wedge-tastic flagship since 1974. That the resulting Countach 25th Anniversary, of which 667 were produced, evolved from Gandini’s minimal LP400 is remarkable. The liberal addition of era-defining (and functional) strakes and select carbon-fibre bits and pieces were the work of a young Horacio Pagani, who’d been recruited to head Lamborghini’s exciting new composites division. Furthermore, the 1977 World Rally Champion Sandro Munari was brought in to hone the suspension. And it’s fair to say the Italian knew a thing or to about road-holding and balance. Combined with a plethora of comfort- and refinement-based upgrades implemented to overcome some of the Countach’s established foibles, the 25th Anniversary is the best Countach to drive and enjoy. Chassis number 12785 Finished in Rosso Siviglia over a Nero interior and specified from new with the optional ‘Sports’ driver’s seat, this stunning matching-numbers 25th Anniversary boasts an excellent provenance and a rich service history – a testament to the meticulous care of its small number of owners. Delivered new to Zimmermann & Kawitz in Germany via Mu.N Neuwagen of Berlin in October 1989, chassis number 12785 was assigned the registration ‘HB-KP 334’, marking the beginning of its storied journey. After several years of enjoyment by its owner, this Countach received its first service in June 1992, at the official Lamborghini service centre, Auto-Kremer in Bonn, ensuring the highest standard of maintenance from the start. This level of care continued with services undertaken in June 1994, July 1997, and June 1999, all performed by the same trusted service centre. In 2003, chassis number 12785 was celebrated at the Lamborghini 40th Anniversary Factory Party and Tour in Sant’Agata and the surrounding areas, with the next scheduled service of the vehicle undertaken in July 2004. Fast forward to March 2014, when Monika Katharina Zaske acquired the vehicle in Gottmadingen, Germany, later passing it to Noise & Fire GmbH in Obersulm. In April 2018, the Countach found its way to Futuro E Ingenio S.L in Malaga, Spain, when its odometer showed 25,457 km. Shortly after arriving in the country it underwent an inspection, confirming its excellent condition. Its time in Andalusia was short lived, though, as in April 2019, the vehicle returned to Germany, re-registering under ‘HN-LP 3333’ after passing through a GTU inspection. Chassis number 12785 continued to receive top-tier care with subsequent inspections in June 2021 and January 2023, where it proudly secured its Roadworthiness Certificate at 25,477 km. In April 2023, an International Motor Insurance Certificate was issued, linking the vehicle to ‘WCM – Worldwide Car Management’ in Obersulm, Germany. The same year, the car participated in the Lamborghini 60th Anniversary Tour. Most recently, in October 2024, it was delivered to Top Motors Salvioli in Modena, Italy, for servicing, continuing its tradition of excellence. This matching-numbers Countach 25th Anniversary not only stands as a remarkable piece of automotive history, but also reflects the dedication and passion of every owner and service provider it has encountered. A spirited morning of photography in the stunning hills above Modena proved what a great Countach this is to drive and enjoy. 1989 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary Girardo & Co. • 1970 Aston Martin DB 6

This Aston Martin DBS is an extremely rare example and is one of only 15 six-cylinder DBS cars that were fitted with fuel injection. Offered on the DB6 MkII and the DBS between 1969 and 1971, the system was the first all-British electronic set-up and had been developed by the Coventry-based Brico company. Only when Brico was sold to Lucas – which had its own mechanical injection system – did Aston Martin revert to offering only carburettors on the DBS. The guarantee for chassis number 5579/R was issued on 1 May 1970 and it was sold via Lazenby Garages to its first owner, a Mr Stanwell of Boston in Lincolnshire. The car was fitted with an automatic gearbox and finished in Azzurro Blue with Dark Blue Connolly leather interior. Its factory build sheet doesn’t record any further owners, but in the late 1980s it was one of four cars that were bought from a private collector in Wales by Northamptonshire-based Maurdon Motors. It was then kept – unused – in the company’s own collection until being sold to its next custodian in 1993. The DBS changed hands again in 2001, and by 2016 it was decided to treat it to a full restoration. The work was carried out by marque specialist Richards of England and involved stripping the car back to bare metal. Once the necessary bodywork repairs had been carried out, it was initially resprayed in Bahama Yellow before it was decided to go with the original shade of Azzurro Blue instead. The attention to detail even extended to retaining the red enamelled ‘FI’ badges in the front wings. The six-cylinder engine – number 400/4561/SFI – was rebuilt and enlarged to 4.2 litres. The manual gearbox, which had replaced the automatic unit that the car had originally been specified with, was also rebuilt. Such was the fastidious nature of the whole project that over £200,000 had been spent by July 2018. The restoration was completed the following year and is fully documented in a hardback book that is covered in the same leather that’s been used for the Aston Martin’s interior. More recent work has included a differential rebuilt in May 2023 and all invoices have been kept in the extensive history file, which also includes the factory build sheet and MoT certificates going back to the early 1980s. It’s thought that this Aston Martin DBS is the only fully restored, six-cylinder, fuel-injected example in the world. Not only is it still in outstanding condition following its three-year rebuild, it represents an opportunity to acquire a rare piece of marque history. Now for sale at The Classic Motor Hub. MODEL HISTORY Intended as a replacement for the iconic Touring-designed series of DB4, DB5 and DB6, the DBS marked a change in direction for Aston Martin when it was launched in 1967. There was supposed to have been more in the way of continuity, but unfortunately Touring went out of business after producing two prototypes. In-house designer William Towns was therefore given the job. He produced a modern, sharp, square-edged design that set the template for the subsequent V8 models and helped to establish the accepted ‘look’ for a big Aston throughout the 1970s and 1980s. The DBS should have been powered by a V8 engine from day one, but Tadek Marek’s new 5.3-litre unit wasn’t ready in time, so Aston Martin carried over the 4-litre six-cylinder engine from the DB6. It was available in either standard 282bhp SU-carburettor form, or as the 325bhp Vantage, which used Weber carburettors. A handful of cars were also produced with the Brico electronic fuel-injection system. Drive was via a ZF five-speed manual gearbox or a three-speed Borg-Warner automatic, and the rear suspension employed a de Dion set-up rather than the DB6’s live axle. The DBS V8 eventually joined the six-cylinder model in 1969, the same year in which the DBS starred alongside George Lazenby in the 1969 James Bond film On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. When Autocar tested a V8-engined car in 1971, it recorded a top speed of 161mph and summed up the model with the words: ‘Tremendous performance, superb brakes, excellent handling’. The two models ran alongside each other until 1972. The six-cylinder DBS was then dropped and the bigger-engined car morphed into the V8, which would be the mainstay of the Aston Martin range into the 1990s. 1970 Aston Martin DB 6 The Classic Motor Hub If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The notice and take down procedure is described here: https://www.speedholics.com/copyright This Aston Martin DBS is an extremely rare example and is one of only 15 six-cylinder DBS cars that were fitted with fuel injection.
