- 1986 Aston Martin V8 Vantage
This V8 Vantage Zagato was supplied on the 21st November 1986 to Mr G. Strok, Esq., Weybridge, by H.W.M Ltd, of Walton-on-Thames, Surrey. This rare grand-tourer was delivered in Lightning Silver coachwork with Burgundy Connolly leather trim and Black Alcantara Headlining One of just 50 coupe examples built during the model’s four-year production run, this British GT was extravagantly styled by the famed Italian coachbuilder ‘Carrozzeria Zagato’. This very car featured in a 4-page review in Motorsport Magazine in September 1987 (original copy on file), the author concluded ‘Sensational, yes, but also composed; brutish but obedient, razor sharp without being difficult to control’ Powered by a naturally aspirated 5.3-litre V8, delivering 430bhp to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission, our car rides on a brand new set of “new style” Ronal wheels shod with new Michelin tyres. This stunning example was later exported to Hong Kong in 1995 and repatriated to the UK in 2004, owned throughout that period by a noted Asian collector In 2017, nearly £10,000 was spent with Aston Martin specialist Nicholas Mee & Co on extensive servicing and improvements including the installation of a Harvey Bailey handling kit comprising a revised front anti-roll bar, front shock absorbers and new coil springs front and rear. A Bluetooth-compatible Alpine stereo was also fitted at this stage. In 2018, Aston Martin Works replaced the front brake discs and performed additional maintenance at a cost of over £2,000 The Zagato has just returned from marque specialists Quantum Works in December 2023 having been fully serviced and thoroughly gone through, now ready for immediate use by its future and lucky owner Accompanied by an extensive history file containing maintenance invoices, historic MOT test certificates and old Motor Vehicle Licences from the car’s time in Hong Kong, this car passed an advisory free MOT on 8th November 2023 and is offered for sale in superb condition. The appropriate cherished UK road registration ‘VZ 268’ is also included The Aston Martin V8 Vantage Zagato is in our opinion the ultimate iteration of the V8 range and a true drivers Aston Martin. We are proud to offer this fine example in collaboration with our friends ‘Autosport Designs Inc’ of New York, USA and our collaboration is a shared like-minded offering of this low original mileage, recently serviced V8 Vantage Zagato by Aston enthusiasts on either side of “The Pond” 1986 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Dylan Miles Ltd If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1985 BMW M635 CSi
If we go too far out of our way with the title of our ad, you can be prepared for a first-class automobile. Not just in terms of its performance data, which were extraterrestrial at the time of the presentation and still cause some surprises today. 210kW/286 HP from an engine that has long since achieved fame. The in-line six from BMW's M Motorsport department was a picture-perfect engine at the time, built to match what was possible at the time. Introduced as a pure motorsport engine and tamed for the road in the now priceless M1 coupe, before being ready for series production as an engine in the top model of the 6 and 5 series. Nevertheless, the drive retained all the genes and peripherals from racing, for example individual throttle valves that were unthinkable for series vehicles were used. The top versions with the magical “M” emblem did not always have an exceptional position in the BMW model range. There was a long valley of tears through which virtually all variants had to go. As with many other highly interesting vehicles, many fell by the wayside! They were financially within reach of buyers who were somehow able to buy the car, but would stretch their wings at even the slightest incident due to a lack of mass. Often poorly repaired (if repaired at all), these once great cars were allowed to continue driving for an MOT period or then died during further use. Today, however, we are standing in front of an example that we last saw in this condition around 30 years ago, when these cars were a maximum of 3-5 years old and extremely well maintained. This is exactly how you have to imagine ours. It is completely in its original factory paintwork, now a good 36 years old, never repainted or repainted, it is absolutely rust-free thanks to the fortunate coincidence of having spent the first 30 years of its existence in the salt-free USA. There it was apparently only taken out of the garage at the best of times, to be moved by its sensible, knowledgeable lover until it was passed on to the second owner. In 2014 the car was offered in this immaculate overall condition and found its way back to Europe. Today this legendary Grand Coupé is with us and is presented in exactly the same condition as we try to convey through this description. We will shortly commission an independent expert to inspect and test this vehicle to support our statements. To catch a real “M” in this condition, with this equipment and color combination, is an absolute stroke of luck. The mileage is well supported by the extensive documentation, KD certificates and other documents. Furthermore, it alone means a worry-free, long future without any revision. Likewise, through extensive inspection, new TRX tires, filling and converting the air conditioning, etc., no maintenance backlog can be cleared up. With regular maintenance and ongoing care, you can expect to be able to pursue your hobby at the highest level for decades to come. With driving fun, with the typical BMW joy of driving in “M” mode. To check our information yourself, we offer you the chassis number for your own research: WBAEE310401051581 The master data sheet we have proves the extremely rare combination of assembly ex works as Euro national equipment with full power without catalytic converter and 286 hp, whereas the export-related side indicators were installed ex works. The rest of the equipment leaves nothing to be desired and goes far beyond the already mentioned air conditioning, including the electric sliding/tilting roof as well as the electric. Window regulators, the buffalo leather and the ingenious sports seats and much more. Please feel free to visit us by making an appointment to see for yourself the quality of the car. - 1957 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster 2
First introduced in 1957, the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster was considered the successor to the famous 300 SL "Gullwings". The design of the roadster differed significantly from the coupe - while the coupe was known for its distinctive gullwing doors, the roadster had conventional doors. The 300 SL Roadster was equipped with a reinforced frame to maintain structural integrity without the fixed roof. In the engine compartment is a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine with direct injection that produces around 215 hp. This allows the vehicle to reach a top speed of around 250 km/h. Today the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster is considered one of the most sought-after collector cars. Thanks to its design and engineering, the 300 SL Roadster remains a symbol of the style and technical innovation of the 1950s and 1960s. 1957 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster Bechtel Motorcompany GmbH If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. Its style comes from Pininfarina; Scaglietti built the all-aluminum bodywork, and the 5.5-liter DOHC V-12 under the hood produces 479hp. The rear-mounted transaxle helps balance out this 3,726-pound car, and the six-speed manual features a classic gated shifter with a polished metal lever and knob. Conceived to be a classic from the start, Ferrari's discerning customers demanded not just out and out performance, but also drivability, luxury, and comfort. Displaying 56,850 kms (35,324) original miles, the 550 remains well preserved throughout, including upholstery, trim and original numbered etched glass all around. The front bumber and hood were previously repainted due to normal road rash and stone chips. Both Carfax and Auto Check report a clean brief history here in the US. The Maranello's most recent “Major Service” was commissioned in Summer 2023 at 56,600 kms, comprised of a complete timing belt service with new gaskets, seals and water pump, battery, fluids, filters, plugs and air conditioning service. Followed by a major 40 hour detailing in preparation for sale. The car performs well as expected, with excellent power and the most intoxicating sound, while manually rowing through the gears. A tremendous complement to Ferrari's iconic GTs of years past. Ferrari's 550M as the reborn Daytona, surely ranks among the upper echelon of modern Gran Tourers. With its stunning and unique livery, recent services and unmistakably beautiful ensemble, enthusiasts and astute collectors alike are encouraged to take a closer look at this example. - 1959 AC Ace Bristol
Introduced in 1953, the AC Ace was the first British production sports car with independent suspension all round. It dominated numerous international sports car races in the years that followed. Its successes grew in particular after the in-house engine was supplemented by a Bristol engine from 1956, which had previously been installed in the BMW 328. In 1962, the AC Ace served as the basis for the legendary AC Cobra. Only 466 examples of the AC Ace Bristol were built between 1956 and 1964. According to available documents, this AC Ace Bristol was originally equipped with the racing options available at the time, including an oil cooler, a roll bar, a second (electric) fuel pump, etc. The car was imported to the USA by Imperial Motors of Wilmette IL. Its first owner, H.A. Black of Wilmette, was a member of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA). He drove the car until 1963 and its subsequent ownership history is fully documented. In the meantime, the car was part of the renowned Shelby American Collection in the USA. The car arrived in Europe in 2021 and was sold to its current owner in Germany in 2023. The vehicle was recently extensively serviced in specialist workshops and received a new exhaust system, among other things. With the Bristol engine, the AC is particularly well motorised. Its rarity, but also its sporty and powerful appearance make this vehicle an entry ticket for high-class events. 1959 AC Ace Bristol Thiesen Hamburg GmbH If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1970 Lombardi 850 Grand Prix
The Lombardi Grand Prix Achieving a claimed 99mph from a diminutive 843cc, 43hp motor, the top speed of the Lombardi Grand Prix clearly owed much to its aerodynamic shape. Which makes sense, when you learn that Carrozzeria Francis Lombardi was founded by a World War One flying ace in 1947, who was originally building aircraft before the switch to a concentration on cars just three years later. The 1968 production release of the Grand Prix model was the coachbuilder’s most well-known contribution to on-land motoring, though with production lasting just four years, only a small quantity of these unique machines were ever manufactured, making one a rare sight today. Carlo “Francis” Lombardi had achieved eight kills in Italy’s struggle against the Austro-Hungarian Empire, including a reconnaissance flight some 100km deep into enemy territory. After the war’s culmination, Francis found he hadn’t tired of adventure and so undertook a series of long distance flights, including Vercelli (near Turin in northern Italy) to Tokyo, in an 85hp aircraft. Later setting up his own company in Vercelli, Carrozzeria Francis Lombardi based most of their designs on existing Fiat chassis, like this effort, the Grand Prix, built around a Fiat 850. Utilizing the inline-four, rear-mounted engine, which had previously achieved a top output rating of 37hp, the Grand Prix retained the 850’s four-speed, rear-engine, rear-wheel drive configuration. The styling however, couldn’t have been more different. The in-house design was done by Giuseppe Rinaldi, featuring a steel unibody with a Kamm tail and a long, low bonnet that culminated in a sharp nose panel, with electrically powered retractable bucket headlights—“pop ups”—then a modern addition for the time and price tag of the car. These were constructed from fiberglass, as was the rear fascia and dash panel. Front suspension included traverse leaf springs below, with control arms above, and coil-sprung semi-trailing arms on the rear. Further Grand Prix derivatives were built until production of the model ceased production in 1972. One such derivative was under the O.T.A.S. name, a collaboration between Lombardi and Giannini Automobili, utilizing the latter’s 982cc twin-came Tigre motor, while a downsized 817cc engine was installed for U.S. export in order to avoid emissions regulations. Abarth also created two versions: the first with a 903cc, 51hp engine; the latter, the Abarth 1300 Scorpione, featured a Fiat 124 engine bored out to 1280cc to produce 74hp. This Lombardi 850 Grand Prix Our lovely little Lombardi is a Series 2, as recognisable by its bonnet bulge, wind-up side windows and 10-slot tail panel. It's finished in 'Mongolian Yellow' over black leatherette interior and wears five-spoke light-alloy wheels. It originates from Switzerland, has lead a pampered life in the hands of a few enthusiasts and was sold to the current owner by Touring Garage. With a mileage of only 36,000 km, it is barely run in. I first saw this example at a Concours D'Elegance event some years ago and was struck by the dramatic lines and the excellent condition of the car. Little did I know that we would have the pleasure of offering it for sale. It originates from an exclusive and eclectic collection of cars, which have all been kept in immaculate condition by their owner. The paint is unmarked with an interior in as new condition. It features some lovely original details, such as the air intake and the bag for windscreen fluid under the bootlid. Mechanically, the car is spot on after a complete rebuild of the engine, gearbox and suspension. With so few cars being built, some say only around 500, this is your chance to own a piece of Italian motoring history from an era of coachbuilt cars long gone. It would be difficult to find a better example of this collectable pocket rocket anywhere in the world. 1970 Lombardi 850 Grand Prix Petrolhead Classics Ltd. - 1974-ferrari-dino-246-gts
This Dino GTS was supplied new by Maranello Concessionaires and their records show it was first delivered in March 1974 to Mr Thompson. Originally specified in Rosso Bordeaux over Beige, this car was originally specified with electric windows and the addition of both the extremely rare and highly desirable wider, sand-cast Campagnolo alloy wheels, flared arches and the leather ‘Daytona’ seats. As such this example forms the ultimate roof-off, Dino specification; a "Chairs and Flares" GTS, built as one of just 6 RHD examples of such worldwide. Accompanying this example is a large history volume including a copy of its original order document and continuing from there. Purchased by its second owner in 1977, a Mr Guthrie of Devon who would service the car regularly, close to his home using a local rally and motorsport specialist. The car received its first MOT in 1977, three years after delivery marking the mileage as 18,270 miles. At the time of sale, Mr Guthrie confirmed the history of the car to this point, verifying the mileage and that it had only ever been used during the summer months. This GTS had 3 owners in the UK averaging 2000 miles per year up until 1982 when the car was purchased by its fourth owner. Mr D. Parkinson purchased the car in the UK ahead of movement to his home in South Africa. He had the car loaded in Rotterdam ahead of its transport by sea to Johannesburg. Mr Parkinson would retain the car for just shy of 20 years. Servicing the car in locally, the file details requests for countless parts from UK suppliers including Graypaul Ferrari of Nottingham and Maranello Concessionaires who delivered items to his UK business before finding their way to him in South Africa. In 2012, the car was purchased by Mr McCryst who instigated a comprehensive, bare-metal restoration of the GTS with Carrozzeria Viglietti. At this time the colour was changed to the brighter Rosso Corsa hue that the car would remain in until 2020 The Dino was purchased by a South African resident who repatriated the car to the UK when the owner moved in 2018. The car remained in our storage facility until 2020 when DK sold the car to its current keeper. Intent on returning the car to its as-new colours and condition, the new owner tasked DK Engineering with a comprehensive bare metal and total restoration. Over the course of 18 months, DK Engineering carefully and meticulously stripped the car to bare metal, to execute the body restoration. At the same time every mechanical component was rebuilt in house to concours and detail correct specification. With the metal work complete, the car was once more refinished in its original Rosso Bordeaux. Assembly was carried out within our workshops before trim work was completed by O’Rourke of Guildford. Since completion in 2020, this example has found home as a part of a prominent global collection. Offered for sale today, this is a rare opportunity to acquire one of just 6 RHD 246 GTS ‘Chairs & Flares’ built by the factory. Accompanying this car is its history file, original leather Dino pouch, jack, toolkit and Ferrari Red Book Classiche Certification. 1974 Ferrari Dino 246 GTS D.K. The notice and take down procedure is described here: https://www.speedholics.com/copyright This Dino GTS was supplied new by Maranello Concessionaires and their records show it was first delivered in March 1974 to Mr Thompson. Other Cars from D.K. Swiss delivery FIA/HTP papers The extremely rare De Tomaso Pantera racing car offered here was delivered new to Switzerland to the racing driver Walter Friedrich.
