- 1969-lamborghini-miura-p400s-by-bertone
In 1926 Ernest Hemingway immortalized the legendary Miura bull in his modernist novel The Sun Also Rises, describing a creature both powerful and lithe, menacing and majestic. Forty years later, Ferruccio Lamborghini introduced his automotive interpretation of the Miura, and in every way the new car projected the values of its namesake. Replete with all the grace and power of Pamplona’s bulls, the Miura P400 was a revolutionary sports car in every sense, from its transversely positioned mid-rear-mounted V-12 engine, to the sinewy and voluptuous coachwork by Bertone’s Marcello Gandini. For a short time, the Miura proudly claimed to be the fastest production sports car in the world. At the Geneva Salon in March 1970 Lamborghini introduced an updated version of the Miura, the P400S. It featured minor cosmetic updates, including exterior chrome trim, and revised interior switch gear with a new ceiling-mounted center console, as well as power windows. An enlarged intake manifold added 20 horsepower over the standard Miura, making the new car both aesthetically superior and more powerful than the original. Among a combined output of approximately 753 total examples produced across all Miura variants, the P400S was built in a relatively modest quantity of 338 examples. To this day the model remains prized by discerning collectors for its uprated performance and elevated cosmetics, making it one of the more desirable versions of Lamborghini’s legendary bull. Featuring a beautiful and distinctive color combination, and benefiting from a restoration by a marque expert, this Miura S is a breathtaking example of the groundbreaking supercar. As confirmed by an entry in the Lamborghini Miura Register, chassis number 3919 is an early-production S model, and it was factory-finished in Giallo Miura paint over an interior of Nero faux leather and Bleu cloth. In late January 1969 the Lamborghini was dispatched to the Turin-based dealer Lamborauto, from which the car was delivered to the first owner, an influential Italian film critic and director named Renzo Renzi. While much of the Miura’s interim history is currently unknown, by the early 2000s the P400S had relocated to the United States and was finished in purple. Reportedly not running for several years, the car was submitted for complete restoration to the Bobileff Motorcar Company, the well-known Lamborghini specialty firm in Southern California. Following completion of the refurbishment in 2008, the rejuvenated Miura S was presented at a small number of events, including the 2011 Concorso Italiano, where it won the Early V-12 Class and the People’s Choice Award, and the Palos Verdes Concours d’Elegance, where it won its class again. In 2017 the Lamborghini was treated to a refinish in the dazzling original color scheme of Giallo Miura over a Bleu interior, as currently presented. Mechanical service in the ensuing years is reported to have included installing a 100-amp alternator and other work on the electrical system in 2018; rebuilding the triple-choke Weber 40 IDL 3C carburetors in 2020; and replacing the starter crown gear in 2021 and the clutch slave cylinder and muffler in 2023. In January 2026, work by specialists Fast Cars Ltd. in Redondo Beach, California, included servicing the distributor, as indicated by an invoice on file. This beautifully presented Miura S is one of the most visually arresting examples to be offered in some time, further enhanced by the presence of its numbers-matching engine, as indicated by stampings corresponding to register data. The P400S is accompanied by owner’s manuals, and it is documented with entries in authoritative model-specific sources such as the International Lamborghini Registry, the Lamborghini Miura Register, and The Lamborghini Miura Bible. Ideal for presentation at Italian car shows or Lamborghini-focused events, this sensational P400S is a benchmark V-12 supercar sure to add distinctive flair to any sporting collection. 1969 Lamborghini Miura P400S by Bertone RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The Diablo SV-R is Lamborghini’s first factory-developed racecar, a cornerstone in the company’s burgeoning motorsports program and the precursor to production-based racecars now competing in the incredibly popular FIA GT3 class. It was conceived and created in the mid-nineties for a single-make support series called the Philippe Charriol SuperSport Trophy, sponsored by Swiss watch tycoon and gentleman racer Philippe Charriol and orchestrated by Stephan Ratel’s SRO Motorsports, now a leading organizer of international racing competition, including GT World Challenge. With their shrieking V-12 engines and rakish silhouettes, the Diablo SV-R racecars wowed spectators at the inaugural SuperSport Trophy, held in conjunction with the 1996 24 Hours of Le Mans. “Looking back, it was kind of a laboratory of ideas for what SRO has done since: two drivers per car, two races per weekend, the pro-am format, and so on,” said Ratel in a retrospective for Daily Sportscar. “When we ran alongside FIA GT1 and realized how much cheaper these production-based cars were to run, that really began the idea of GT3.” These race-spec Diablos would compete on some of the most famous racetracks in the world, including Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium and the Nürburgring in Germany. The 1996 and 1998 seasons encompassed 10 races at five different circuits with two races per venue, while the 1997 season featured 14 races at seven different tracks. The Diablo SV-R competition cars were based on the rear-wheel-drive Diablo SV and built alongside production models on the Diablo assembly line. They featured a stripped interior with roll cage, racing seats, and removable steering wheel. Modified bodywork included a deeper front spoiler and side skirts, rear diffusers, an adjustable carbon fiber rear wing, and fixed Plexiglass side windows with sliding sections. Vents channeling air to the brakes replaced the production version’s pop-up headlights. Chassis upgrades included a stiffer suspension, beefed-up brakes, an air-jack system, and hollow-spoke OZ Racing wheels. A revised fueling system and variable valve timing—both incorporated on subsequent production models—increased output of the Diablo’s 5.7-liter V-12. With massive power to the rear wheels, no ABS, and a gated six-speed manual gearbox, the Diablo SV-R thrilled both drivers and onlookers. In total, Lamborghini produced 34 examples, according to the Lamborghini Registry, before the Diablo GTR supplanted it. This 1996 Lamborghini Diablo SV-R, serial number 020, is understood to have been delivered new, along with another Diablo SV-R, serial number 019, to French car rental company LeasePlan on 7 June 1996, finished in Bianco over Nero, according to the Lamborghini Registry. It was driven by former Minardi Formula 1 driver Luis Pérez-Sala and Spanish businessman and amateur racer Alberto Castelló. A digital image on file shows the two men standing with Diablo SV-Rs 019 and 020 in white and blue LeasePlan livery and bearing their respective racing numbers. Other liveries would adorn 020’s bodywork while the car was driven in competition. After the SuperSport Trophy, this Diablo SV-R participated in GT European Championships in the early 2000s, according to the Lamborghini Registry. It would later be acquired by an enthusiast in Japan and converted for road use with headlights, turn signals, and an air-conditioning system. The car was imported to the United States in 2023 and acquired by the consignor in October 2023 with sparing road use and no track driving since. A stereo head unit, satellite navigation, rear-facing camera, and radar detector installed by a previous owner were removed. The aftermarket air-conditioning system remains installed for convenience, as do the headlights and turn signals for street use. The car is also equipped with a previously installed exhaust control valve. The interior features an OMB roll cage, OMB racing seats with Lamborghini logo, OMB harnesses, and a Sparco fire-suppression system. In 2025, the starter, fuel regulator, belts, hoses, and seals were replaced, and the fuel sender and coil wires repaired, according to invoices on file. The car is now finished in Giallo. As the Italian automaker’s first factory-produced racecar, the Diablo SV-R is the very bedrock of Lamborghini’s motor sports heritage, a template for today’s GT3 competition that paved the way for the company’s current Super Trofeo series and success in the GT World Challenge. It remains as thrilling to behold and drive now as it did upon its monumental debut nearly 30 years ago, offering its next caretaker the opportunity to participate in vintage racing as well as enjoy it on the road. 1996 Lamborghini Diablo SV-R RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. In the 1994 model year, it replaced the 964 series and continues to impress today with its harmonious lines and technical sophistication. For many enthusiasts, the 993 is one of the most beautiful Porsche 911s ever built. The vehicle offered here was first registered in Germany in 1997 has two owners before. It impresses with its attractive colour combination: ocean blue metallic with dark blue leather interior and soft top. The vehicle is in very good condition and original, with a complete service history. A particularly stylish representative of the last air-cooled 911s – technically sound, visually elegant and increasingly sought after by connoisseurs of classic Porsches. - 1991-isdera-imperator-108i-series-2
Isdera was founded by the visionary automotive designer Eberhard Schulz, whose career had begun at Porsche, where he first made a name for himself with the hand-built prototype, the Erator GTE. Even while employed at Porsche, Schulz was developing his own concept in his spare time, a design explicitly intended to echo the elegance and engineering of the legendary Mercedes-Benz 300 SL. By the early 1980s, Schulz decided to forge his own path and established Isdera, a company dedicated to small-scale production vehicles, design, and engineering services. Two years later, the firm introduced the Imperator 108i, a car representing the culmination of Schulz’s vision. Over the subsequent nine years, only 30 examples would be produced, each undergoing subtle design revisions and powered by rear mid-mounted V-8 engines sourced from Mercedes-Benz. All were constructed around a tubular steel spaceframe clad in bonded fiberglass, and each retained the car’s signature gullwing doors, an enduring hallmark of Isdera’s design language. The Imperator’s engineering was as sophisticated as its styling. The suspension employed front double wishbones and rear upper and lower transverse links, while coil springs and disc brakes were featured on all four corners. The car’s performance was formidable for its era, with Isdera claiming a top speed of 175 mph and a 0–60 mph time of 5.1 seconds. The example on offer is a later Series 2 Imperator 108i, immediately recognizable by its pop-up headlamps and dramatic swept twin-exit exhaust on the passenger side. Discerning enthusiasts will further note its softened body lines, enlarged front grille, sculpted wheel-arch vents, and offset NACA duct integrated into the hood. Together, these refinements create a car that blends the audacious spirit of a prototype with the sophistication of production engineering. Accompanied by fascinating documentation including copies of its original order form and correspondence, this factory left-hand-drive example was sold new to Japan and is dressed in the quintessential German sports car livery of silver over black leather. Beneath its rear hatch lurks a potent Mercedes-Benz M119 32-valve fuel-injected V-8 engine, paired with a five-speed ZF manual gearbox, delivering approximately 300 horsepower. In 2016, the car was registered in the United Kingdom before passing into German ownership, during which time it underwent a partial restoration by MePoPres F. Ulbricht GmbH. By 2021, it had joined another notable European collection, with invoices on file confirming inspection and servicing of the cooling system, climate control, and brakes. Shortly before the consignor’s acquisition, the car received an inspection and service from the renowned performance specialists at Canepa in Scotts Valley, California. With less than 1,400 miles on the odometer at the time of cataloguing, this Imperator 108i Series 2 remains an exceptional example of Isdera’s visionary craftsmanship. Its striking design, Mercedes-derived V-8 power, and extreme rarity render it not merely a car but a collector’s trophy—a rare jewel whose presence commands admiration and respect in equal measure, and one certain to captivate any automotive event. 1991 Isdera Imperator 108i Series 2 RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. This 1991 Ferrari Mondial t Convertible is powered by the 3.4-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine, paired with a manual transmission. The car is finished in red with a black leather interior and has covered 43,279 kilometres. The Mondial t represents the final and most developed evolution of the Mondial range. With its increased 3.4-litre displacement and the introduction of a longitudinally mounted engine combined with a transverse gearbox, this version benefits from improved torque, smoother power delivery, and enhanced overall drivability compared to earlier Mondial variants. It retains the defining characteristics of the model, including its mid-engine layout and practical four-seat configuration. Blending Ferrari’s traditional V8 character with a more flexible and accessible power delivery, the Mondial t is well suited to varied use rather than purely focused performance driving. The manual gearbox remains central to the driving experience, offering direct mechanical engagement and driver involvement. This example presents in original specification and displays mileage consistent with careful ownership. As a later production model, it ranks among the most refined and technically advanced versions of the Mondial. The car is offered as part of the Carcave Belgium selection and is available for viewing by appointment. 1991 Ferrari Mondial Convertible Car Cave USA If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The italy-swiss based Designer Franco Sbarro has designed and built this radical Sports-Roadster on the shortened chassis of a Testarossa together with the students of his Sbarro-Center and introduced the Alcador called Roadster on his display at the International Carshow in Geneva in 1995 ( Genfer Automobilsalon). This is the original car from the 1995 display and the Alcador is-besides 2 outside mirrors that were added later- still completly original and did only 4.150 km since 1995. The Ferrari 348 TB offered here was delivered in Italy in May 1990 in Rosso Corsa red with a black leather interior and imported into Switzerland in August 1990 by Ferrari (Suisse) SA, Nyon. The car was owned by its first owner for over 33 years and, with just under 15,000 km, no winter use and probably hardly ever driven in the rain, is in absolutely original and well-maintained collector’s condition. A major service including timing belt replacement etc. was carried out by the last owner. The on-board folder with all documents, service booklet, technical manual, and neatly kept exhaust maintenance document, as well as all the car keys and the leather case with on-board tools, are available. As the successor to the 328 GTB, the 348 TB was actually a completely new car, representing a reinterpretation of the 2-seater V8 mid-engine Berlinetta. The body combined design details of the Testarossa – along the sides – with some of the classic models of the past. 1990 Ferrari 348 TB Lutziger Classic Cars AG If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1971-ferrari-365-gtb4-daytona-spider-by-scaglietti
Completed by the factory in late 1971, chassis number 15007 falls approximately midway through Ferrari’s production run of the vaunted 365 GTB/4 Spider. A model originally envisioned and designed for the American market, this is where this particular car would be destined, finished in Rosso Chiaro (20-R-190) over a Nero (VM 8500) Connolly interior with red seat inserts. The car was earmarked for delivery to William F. Harrah’s Ferrari distributorship, Modern Classic Motors of Reno, Nevada, and arrived there sporting Italian EE (Escursionisti Esteri) tourist delivery plates in April 1972 according to a report compiled by Ferrari historian Marcel Massini. Rather than being delivered to its first owner immediately upon delivery, the Daytona Spider was shown by Modern Classic Motors at the 1972 Los Angeles Auto Show in May 1972. Subsequently, it was sold to its first owner, Robert Ferrard of Los Angeles that same year. Three years later, the car was sold to Warner Brothers Pictures by Harley Cluxton III’s Grand Touring Cars of Phoenix, Arizona, in October 1975, showing 19,863 miles on its odometer at the time of sale. Warner Brothers released two films in 1976 that this car is believed to have had a starring role in: A Star is Born and The Gumball Rally. Both films featured a red Daytona Spider, with the car in A Star is Born fitted with a black interior and seats with headrests, and The Gumball Rally car sporting a beige interior with early-style Daytona seats without headrests. It is known that another Daytona Spider was used in the filming of The Gumball Rally (chassis number 14829) whilst another car was also used in the filming of A Star is Born, however this car’s identity remains unknown. Presently, this car is outfitted with a beige interior, as it would have appeared in The Gumball Rally. After leaving Warner Brothers, the Daytona Spider passed through a handful of subsequent California owners in the 1970s and early 1980s before being purchased by Robert D. Toney, a teacher of construction at Merced College in Merced, California. At the time of his purchase, the car was noted as being fitted with a tan interior with black Daytona seat inserts, as it would have appeared in The Gumball Rally. Toney was a longtime member of the Ferrari Club of America and a regular attendee of club events until his passing in 2002. Despite this, Toney only showed his Daytona Spider twice; first at the Ferrari Club of America Annual Meet at Monterey in 1994, and again at the Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance in 1997. Toney passed away in 2002 but the car would be kept by his family until 2017, at which point it was consigned to RM Sotheby’s Monterey auction. At that point, the car was sold to a well-known collector based in the United Kingdom. That same year, the car was granted Ferrari Classiche certification, confirming that the car retains its original chassis, engine, and bodywork, and is fitted with a replacement gearbox of the correct type. In 2018, the car received a full service at Joe Macari in London which also included adding a number of upgrades for overall drivability, including an upgraded aluminum radiator, suspension, sports exhaust, starter motor, and alternator, along with new Avon tires. This work totaled £48,019.68 and the invoices for this work can be found in the car’s history file. Later, the car would receive a professional repaint from Charles Pozzi, the official Ferrari distributor in Paris, France. Remaining in Europe until 2024, upon its purchase by the consignor, the car was repatriated to the United States shortly thereafter. Boasting a fascinating story involving thirty-four years of single ownership following ownership and usage by Warner Brothers in two highly memorable movies of the mid-1970s, this is a fabulous Daytona Spider that would be an exciting addition to any collection. 1971 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Spider by Scaglietti RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. This particular example, Chassis # WPOCB2962RS460255, is a 1994 Carrera 2 finished in black with a matching black top and a black partial leather interior. The car sits on 17-inch light five-spoke Turbo Design wheels and was optioned with the AM/FM radio with CD player, a dark rootwood shift knob and matching parking brake handle, Porsche crest wheel caps, heated seats, and power driver’s seat. Altogether, these options added an extra $4,355 to the MSRP, bringing the total price to $79,270. This 911 was delivered to Autohaus Lancaster via the Port of Charleston before being registered in April 1994 in York, PA. The first owner regularly maintained the car and enjoyed it to the fullest, adding almost 6,400 miles per a service in May 1999 at Autohaus, where it was originally purchased. That dealership would serve as this 911’s main point of service until the owner moved to Keysville, VA, in May 2006, with 9,690 miles on the odometer. In January 2012, after nearly 18 years of ownership, the 911 made its way to its second owner since new, with just over 9,900 miles on the odometer. The miles began accumulating more slowly as the car was driven sparingly, though it continued to pass its yearly safety inspections. In March 2021, it was sold to its third and current owner. Shortly after, in March 2021, the car was fitted with a new set of front and rear speakers, along with a 4-ohm bass blocker. In February 2022, at 12,648 miles, Abacus Racing in Virginia Beach, VA, performed an oil change, a thorough inspection, installed new hood and deck lid struts, new wipers, and new Continental Extreme Contact tires. More recently a PPI was completed in anticipation of its sale and the undercarriage dry-ice blasted, all courtesy of Leading Edge Autosport in West Chester, PA. Autocar Bespoke completed a comprehensive detail whereby the all too common faded/cracked rear lights and “Carrera 2” script were also replaced in preparation for sale. As it sits, this is a very well-maintained example of one of Porsche’s more modern 911s with just under 17,000 miles on the odometer and only 3 careful owners from new. It remains mostly unmodified from its factory configuration, with the exception of the aftermarket speakers. Upon purchase, the new owner will receive all of the owner’s manuals, window sticker, boot cover and bag, toolkit, spare, air pump and available records. 1994 Porsche Carrera 2 LBI Limited If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer.
