  • 1989 Lancia Delta HF Integrale 8V

In the first six years of the World Rally Championship’s Group A regulations, the Lancia Delta won every single Manufacturers’ title. Just think about the gravity of that achievement for a moment. In its multitude of successive evolutions and, of course, the legendary Works Lancia Martini Racing Team colours, the Delta racked up 46 victories on rallying’s world stage, in the hands of such motorsport legends as Juha Kankkunen, Miki Biasion and Markku Alén. The Delta HF Integrale 8V was the second competition variant of the model, introducing a raft of improvements over the outgoing 4WD. Considerably increasing the size of the wheel arches allowed Lancia to fit more effective suspension, wheels which were both larger in diameter and wider, and bigger brakes. A six-speed Abarth gearbox was employed for the very first time, as were advanced Michelin tyres, replacing the old Pirellis. The Garrett turbocharger was also enlarged and a more efficient intercooler was installed, raising power considerably. TO 74785L A full Works-specification car born in Lancia’s Reparto Corse skunkworks, this Delta HF Integrale 8V Group A is chassis number 459859, which was built to ‘light gravel’ configuration. Competing in the World Rally Championship under the factory Lancia Martini Racing Team banner, the car’s maiden competitive outing came in the 23rd Rallye de Portugal in 1989 – an event which, 12 months earlier, the eight-valve Delta won by an astonishing 10 minutes. Bearing the Turin registration ‘TO 74785L’, the car was earmarked for the French future World Rally Champion Didier Auriol and his co-driver Bernard Occelli. Portugal was (and remains) a challenging rally to master predominantly because of its half-gravel half-asphalt nature. But a further dimension of difficulty was added in 1989 by inclement weather – the last thing you expect to find on the Iberian Peninsula. “Lancia didn’t just rise to the challenge – it was truly in a league of its own. Of the 38 special stages spread across Rallye de Portugal’s four legs, Works Lancias won 36 of them.” Lancia didn’t just rise to the challenge – it was truly in a league of its own. The Delta HF Integrale 8V was at the peak of its powers, as was the trio of drivers employed to drive them for the factory effort: Markku Alén, Miki Biasion and Didier Auriol. Of the 38 special stages spread across four legs, Works Lancias won 36 of them. The fight for outright victory played out between Auriol and Biasion – the Frenchman kept the Italian honest at the front for the lion’s share of the rally, tallying 11 stage victories before suffering an agonising clutch failure. The imminent introduction of the new 16-valve Delta HF Integrale meant the Works no longer required the services of chassis number 459859. This car was loaned to the H.F. Grifone outfit and refinished in the team’s wonderful black and gold livery. Twice a winner of the European Rally Championship, Fabrizio Tabaton raced ‘TO 74785L’ to second overall in the 1989 Rally Costa Smeralda. He quickly followed that up with wins in the 1989 Rally del Salento and Rally di Pescara, both rounds in the ultra-competitive Italian Rally Championship. Following its final competitive event, Rallye Deutschland in 1989, this Lancia returned to Turin, where the factory fitted it with a new electronically-controlled clutch system developed in close collaboration with Valeo. Operated simply with the gear lever or by a button on the steering wheel, the clutch could be automatically engaged or disengaged by an electromechanical actuator in the gearbox, theoretically decreasing the speed of gear changes. Since there was no use for a conventional clutch pedal, it was removed completely and the handful of Deltas subsequently fitted with this newfangled system became known as bi-pedale cars. While the specific schedule is difficult to define, chassis number 459859 served as a technical-test car for Lancia in 1990 and pioneered a technological system which proved to be a hot topic not only in rally paddocks around the world, but in the wider automotive press. In the years since, this Delta HF Integrale 8V has been owned by a handful of prominent Lancia rally-car collectors and remained in Italy. In 2016 the car was awarded with its FIA Historic Technical Papers, which remain valid until 2026. Furthermore, in 2018 chassis number 459859 was submitted for Abarth Classiche certification, which it duly received. Still registered on its desirable original black ‘TO’ number plates, this highly original ex-Works Lancia Martini Racing Team Delta HF Integrale 8V is a wonderful embodiment of what was a marque at the very peak of its powers – a dominant force in the sport, which clinched an astonishing six consecutive World Rally Championships with the indomitable Delta. This chassis’ role as a test-and-development prototype for the innovative bi-pedale system is another fascinating string to its bow. 1989 Lancia Delta HF Integrale 8V Girardo & Co. This car took part in the modern Mille Miglia comes with an ASI Gold plate showing its originality. The engine sound is fantastic! Still today the Giulietta Sprint looks extremely charming and is one of the most typical Italian cars of the mid-fifties. The numberplate on these pictures are for photographic purposes only and are not from this car. With the introduction of the Giulietta in 1954, Alfa Romeo marked a decisive shift toward large-scale production. The Giulietta’s arrival caused a sensation; demand quickly outstripped supply, causing Alfa Romeo to rethink its production strategy and become a high-volume manufacturer. The company’s replacement for its advanced 1900 saloon and coupe followed the same formula in offering a number of body styles, allied with a powerful twin cam engine up-front. Body styles included a Sprint, Berlina, Spider and Sprint Speciale. The 2+2 was Alfa Romeo’s first successful foray into the 1.3-litre class. The Giulietta was powered by a 1290 cc Alfa Romeo Twin Cam inline-four engine, featuring an aluminium alloy block with cast-iron cylinder liners. Its crossflow cylinder head incorporated hemispherical combustion chambers, while the double overhead camshafts – driven by twin timing chains – operated two valves per cylinder angled at 80 degrees. Designed by Bertone, the Giulietta Sprint combined compact proportions with strong performance characteristics. The model reinforced Alfa Romeo’s sporting identity while making advanced engineering accessible to a broader market segment. 1956 Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1300 Sprint Very Superior Old Cars If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1992 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione 'Group N' by Abarth

With the dawn of the 1990s came the Delta’s roadgoing zenith: the HF Integrale Evoluzione, revealed at the Frankfurt Salon in 1991. A remapped 16-valve turbocharged inline-four boasted 210 horsepower, surmounting the 100 horsepower-per-litre hurdle with ease. Blistered wings opened up space for a widened track and Speedline Monte Carlo wheels. At the rear sat a functional spoiler, while the interior both looked and felt the part with optional bolstered Recaro leather seats with distinctive perforated upholstery. While the road-legal homologation Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione was earning its well-deserved reputation as a superb driver’s car, its competition counterparts were carving out their place in rally history: a debut victory at San Remo in 1989, the first of many wins for the Delta Integrale 16v, contributed to Lancia’s still-unmatched six consecutive World Rally Championship manufacturer’s titles. The Evoluzione was the last Delta that could rightly be called a WRC homologation car following Lancia’s withdrawal from rallying in 1992. This Lancia Delta Evoluzione is no ordinary example, having been commissioned by three doctors who previously provided the Lancia Works rally team with medial support during the 1980s. Looking to acquire a new Group A Delta, they placed an order through their contacts at Lancia when they discovered it would not be possible. This car stands out from other Deltas with its Martini livery, bodywork, and badging—only seen on ‘Martini 5’ editions of the Delta, limited to just 400 units. This Delta features slight exterior tweaks from the factory such as the roof spoiler in black rather than white. Inside, this car differs from a ‘Martini 5’ Delta, though, with the absence of a numbered glovebox plaque and an extremely special Verde Alcantara interior. From its initial delivery in 1992, the three doctors sent the Delta directly to Abarth, where the legendary tuner fitted Group N suspension and 17-inch wheels. It is thought that only a handful of Lancia Delta Evoluziones were ever sent to Abarth for such modifications. A set of period-correct 15-inch wheels and tyres accompany this Delta. First registered to a Giovanni Musatti on 6 July 1992, the three doctors retained the car until 2013 when it was acquired by SRL River Team. Nine years later, the consignor purchased this unique Delta Evoluzione Group N ‘Abarth’ and added it to The Sportiva Collection. In 2016, this Lancia was sent to Abarth Classiche, where it received the desirable certification book and metal display plate. Abarth Classiche noted this vehicle as one of the handful of ‘Group N’ specified Deltas that the company had modified. A version of events from the three doctors, chronicling this car’s conception, is available to view on file (in Italian) along with a photograph of them with the car. This Delta is also certified by the Lancia Registro Storico and is accompanied by its Certificato Di Identitià. Presented today in an unbelievably well persevered state, the odometer reads just 27,641 kilometres at the time of cataloguing. The exterior and interior are in their factory correct configuration and the glove box features a plaque bearing the signatures of the three doctors. An extremely rare example of an Abarth-modified Delta Evoluzione, this Lancia is sure to attract the attention of afficionados and collectors—it is likely an unrepeatable opportunity to acquire such a vehicle. 1992 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1960-porsche-runge-rs010

Commissioned by actor and enthusiast John Cena, this RS010 was designed and constructed by Christopher Rünge over a two-year period and completed in 2019. Beneath its polished aluminum skin lies a full steel tube frame supporting a 2,300 cc OHV flat-four fed by twin-choke Weber carburetors, paired to a 4-speed “Longbox” transaxle. The suspension is fully independent with Koni adjustable shocks and vented Porsche 356 B brakes at all corners. Inside, the cockpit reflects Rünge’s aviation inspiration: toggle switches sourced from 1950s aircraft, a MiG-jet clock integrated into the dash, and a “Lusso” leather interior with full sound insulation and 12-volt air conditioning. TecnoMagnesio wheels complete the lightweight specification. Following its debut at Monterey, the RS010 was sold through Bonhams to its current second owner, remaining in exceptionally limited use since completion. It is titled as a 1960 Runge RS Coupe and accompanied by documentation of its build and a bespoke tool kit made to match the car’s aesthetic. With only one example ever constructed, the RS010 stands as Rünge’s singular masterpiece—an unrepeatable fusion of artistry, engineering, and the timeless ideal of analog speed. 1960 Porsche Runge RS010 ISSIMI, Inc If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1956 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Veloce

Incredibly Well-Sorted Genuine Sprint Veloce Lightweight. Mille Miglia Retrospective and California Mille Veteran. Powered by Fresh Conrad Stevenson 1500cc Engine and Offered with spare 1750cc Powerplant. Well-Documented and Ready For Virtually Any Event Worldwide. Alfa Romeo, the giant of Italian automobile manufacturing, turned their focus after the second world war to more volume-based production and larger market growth. Intent on building fine cars for broader markets, the sporting vitality and stylish designs of the early 50s Alfas would become legendary. On the racetrack, just as Alfa-Romeo had dominated in the past, their lightweight models benefited from mild engine tuning creating cars that could run with the pack in the hands of capable privateers or greet the cheering masses with top level drivers in the winner’s circle. The first Giulietta was the Bertone penned Sprint coupe. Modest in design but elegantly simple, the 1300cc twin cam engine was the perfect pairing for the market, becoming an instant success with youthful, style-conscious Europeans eager to begin their post-war lives with an exciting sports car as part of their success. For those who sought more performance, the Veloce was made available in 1956 as well as the rare and highly desirable lightweight or “Alleggerita” – the top performing of the series. To build this special variant, Bertone fitted an alloy hood, door skins, lighter bumpers, and lighter headlight bezels to the stamped steel body. Further enhancements included lighter engine components, lightened interiors, and sliding plexiglass side windows replacing the heavier glass units found in the standard Sprint models. Built for performance, the heavy rear seat was removed, replaced with a flat parcel area, and all typical sound deadening was eliminated once again to save weight. The resultant car was not only faster than a standard Sprint, it offered nimble handling and fantastic versatility in a range of driving conditions. General Overview According to reference information noted in the FIVA Identity Card issued in 1998, this factory lightweight Sprint was first sold July 26, 1956, to Marc Peccolo, Angoleme, France. The next owner of record is noted as Jacques Ricord, Nice, France. By 1993 the car is reported to have been restored by Carrozeria Flli Gabiati/Milano, Italy and AJR/ Nice, France. On April 7, 1998, the car was issued a FIVA card, then under German ownership with the notation that the car was fitted with a 101 type gearbox. Having been purchased by well-known sports car enthusiast Roger Hoffman, the car arrived in California around 2001 where it was treated to extensive mechanical work by Alfa Romeo expert Conrad Stevenson. Some years later, Hoffman engages Fantasy Junction to sell the car to Frank Gabrielli who, in 2014, sells the car to the current owner, a Northern California vintage Alfa Romeo enthusiast. Being very particular about his cars being both cosmetically and mechanically prepared to a high standard, the current owner spent the past seven years refining the car ensuring that all mechanical systems were in top order, all instruments were dialed in and functional, all lighting was both correct and functional, and any errant wind noises were properly resolved with correct fit to the doors, glass, and rubber. Even the heater was correctly wired and ducted to function properly. Accompanying the car are extensive copies of invoices for mechanical and cosmetic work copiously detailing with photos and specifications the efforts extended to prepare this car to the level it is today. The 1300cc engine rebuild is detailed by Stevenson with notation for specifications, measurements, and a dyno chart along with rear axle and brake specifications, complete interior upholstery and seat framework overview, suspension work, and glass and weatherstrip replacement – to name just a few of the many aspects of the ongoing improvements and refurbishment performed on the car. Additional notes are also provided for the 1750cc engine which was in excellent operation as late as August 2021 shortly before being removed for the 1300cc engine installation that represents the current running configuration. General Condition Today this Alfa Romeo offers a handsome, consistent, and well-sorted presentation. The paint is glossy with excellent coverage throughout, and very nice panel fit, particularly so given the alloy body panel fit to the steel main structure. The various bright work has been redone to a high level with excellent grille and trim over each side opening. The sporting competition road lights added to the front bumper deliver a nice rally touch to the look of the car. The steel wheels have been painted with the correct silver finish, void of fussy wheel cover mounting clips. The Vredestein tires are correctly sized to the car and the suspension is set just right for the wheel openings giving the car excellent stance. The side glass garnish molding allows for sliding plexiglass windows specific to the lightweight configuration as mounted to the alloy-skinned doors. Fit and finish for all the lighting, trim, emblems, and other specific details has been restored to a very high standard. The interior, completed in 2014, under current ownership is particularly handsome in both finish and colors. The leather seating surfaces are beautifully finished as are the door panels, headliner, and carpeting all the way back into the rear parcel area that is unique to the lightweight configuration. Accenting the original instruments, each of the three dials and the wood rim Nardi steering wheel collectively compose what must be considered one of the best-looking dashboards of this era. The dash houses an array of original knobs and switches flanked by handsome door levers, Alfa-Romeo branded foot pedals, and polished door thresholds. The cockpit of this Veloce is a delightful engagement of purpose and beauty, which is only further enriched by the driving experience once behind the wheel. The engine compartment is beautifully presented, currently housing a period-correct non-matching numbers 1300cc engine, built to 1500cc, by expert Conrad Stevenson as documented in the invoices accompanying the car. In addition to this engine, the car previously ran a 1750cc engine which is offered with the spares. The engine bay is prepared using factory finishes, hardware, and fasteners, delivering authentic vintage including correct Weber carburetors, factory type hoses and air induction plenum, silver quilted hood insulation pad, textured black cam cover finish, and correctly detailed engine auxiliary components. The trunk is properly prepared with a matching spare tire and jack mounted in place and housing the rear mounted battery. The undercarriage eschews show level detail but still presents quite clean and very well resolved showing solid floor pans and rockers, clean engine and drivetrain castings, and no signs of structural compromise to the floor or suspension mounts. Having driven the car both as the currently configured 1300cc engine and the previous 1750cc version, we are pleased to say that the character and quality of the driving experience are very well balanced in both instances. This is a wonderful, dialed in car with a cohesive feel, excellent driving manners, and great sounds. The driving experience, coupled with very rewarding cosmetics, is very rewarding. The 1300cc engine is not peaking under throttle, indicating plenty of available power in the rev range. Driving is responsive and effortless with each shift, entering corner after corner with tight suspension, brakes that pull down straight, and solid pedals that respond properly on demand. The comfortable seats, wonderful exhaust note, and lightweight “feel” at the wheel heartily delivers on the Veloce lightweight promise at every corner. This is a delightful Giulietta Sprint Veloce “Alleggerita” ready for show or events with a high level of mechanical and cosmetic confidence offering the rarity of factory lightweight construction and miles and miles of pure Alfa Romeo enjoyment for the next fortunate owner. Items Included with the Car This Alfa Romeo is offered with the spare 1750cc engine (AR00531*01267*), car cover, roadside safety kit, spare lug wrench, and an Alfa Romeo Giulietta Instruction Book and case. 1956 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Veloce Fantasy Junction If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. Offered for auction at Race Retro International Motorsport Show 2023 is this beautifully constructed Alfa Romeo 105 Coupé presented in fresh Alfa Rosso paintwork. The Alfa was converted to full-race specification in the 2000s and successfully circuit raced in South Africa, winning the Western Cape Classic Car class in 2013 and 2014. Proven as an extremely competitive car and running under a FIA Historic Passport which has since expired. Imported to the UK in 2017, the Alfa racer has since been subject to a rolling restoration including numerous new parts from Classic Alfa and Alfaholics with invoices in the history file. Work carried out included an overhaul of the suspension components and bodyshell repairs where required. New items fitted include; genuine Weber twin-40DCOEs, a pair of red Cobra Monaco Pro bucket seats (in date), electronic ignition unit and plug leads, headlamps, tail lamps, sidelights, lightweight bonnet, GTA alloy wheels with Michelin tyres, clutch master cylinder, Bosch blue coil, adjustable front top-arms, yellow Koni dampers all round, Lemforder ball-joints and a new windscreen and seals. In December 2022, the Alfa benefitted from significant investment with a renowned specialist who carried out a full health check including setting up the Weber carbs, engine timing and adjusting the suspension to 'fast road' specification. Finally, so that the little race car presented as well as it performs, the workshop carried out a full professional respray in period-correct Alfa Rosso. In summary, this is a handsome, high-performance classic Alfa Romeo that could be driven to Sunday breakfast runs or with some safety equipment updates could once again be a competitive race car. • 1965 Jaguar 'C-Type' Replica by Proteus (3.5-Litre)

Fitted with an XK 3.5-litre racing engine, understood to be one of a handful built in period by Jaguar, aluminium bodied and finished to the exacting standards set by the late Hugh Taylor. The Jaguar C-Type's (correctly the XK120C) astonishing debut victory in the 1951 Le Mans 24-Hour Race and its follow-up win in 1953, established Jaguar's first purpose-built racing sports car as one of the all-time great competition automobiles. Jaguar built only 54 C-Types and it is worth noting that the first three Grand Prix World Champions - Guiseppe Farina, Alberto Ascari and Juan-Manuel Fangio - all bought them as road cars and it's not hard to understand why, as at the time of its introduction, the C-Type represented the state-of-the-art in racing car engineering and thus was one of the most advanced road vehicles in the world. Those multiple Le Mans wins in the 1950s, as well as numerous victories in the other great classic endurance events, coupled with the superb driving qualities that made it so attractive to three of the greatest drivers in history, have ensured a continuing healthy demand for replicas of Jaguar's rare and exotic sports-racer. An acknowledged master in this highly specialised field is Proteus Sports & Racing Cars Ltd, originally of Silchester, Berkshire, which since its foundation in 1985, has established an unrivalled reputation for building some of the finest Jaguar C-Type recreations available, ultimately focusing entirely on the production of this vehicle. Built around frame number CC2121, an earlier Proteus C-Type replica chassis, with a lightweight all-aluminium single door 'Le Mans' body, this fabulous example is registered with the DVLA as a 1965 Jaguar, but the build was actually started some 20 years ago. Along with the 4-speed gearbox with overdrive, live rear axle, 16” wire wheels and disc brakes on each corner, the engine, we understand is rather special. The 3.5-litre XK engine, stamped with the numbers 'C7896 C2', is believed to be one of a handful of racing engines built by Jaguar in period. Under the exacting standards set by Hugh Taylor, its previous owner, the car has authentic exterior trim and lighting, a properly nested side exhaust, clear headlight covers and correctly painted wire wheels. The neatly clustered period instruments sit behind a period-correct wooden steering wheel. Under the 'CMC of Bridgnorth' custom built bonnet, complete with authentic Le Mans 1953 scoop, the engine features prominently with a handmade aluminium airbox, polished cam covers and tubular exhaust manifolds. The history file contains some £40,000 worth of detailed invoices from Legends Racing of Cheltenham to Mr Taylor. More recent bills dating from 2022 evidence a thorough going over with fuel and brake lines checked along with a suspension overhaul, the Webers tuned and new Blockley tyres fitted. With an odometer reading of 898 miles at the time of cataloguing, the attention to detail such as the discoloured odometer digits and the hand finished aluminium panels in the cockpit sets this car apart as does 1965 Jaguar 'C-Type' Replica by Proteus (3.5-Litre) Iconic Auctioneers Ltd If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. With an odometer reading of 898 miles at the time of cataloguing, the attention to detail such as the discoloured odometer digits and the hand finished aluminium panels in the cockpit sets this car apart as does Other Cars from Iconic Auctioneers Ltd 1965-Jaguar-E-Type-4.2-01.webp 1965-Jaguar-E-Type-4.2-02.webp 1965-Jaguar-E-Type-4.2-15.webp 1965-Jaguar-E-Type-4.2-01.webp 1/15 1965 Jaguar E-Type 4.2 Iconic Auctioneers Ltd United Kingdom 1975-De-Tomaso-Pantera-GTS-01.webp 1975-De-Tomaso-Pantera-GTS-02.webp 1975-De-Tomaso-Pantera-GTS-09.webp 1975-De-Tomaso-Pantera-GTS-01.webp 1/8 1975 De Tomaso Pantera GTS Iconic Auctioneers Ltd United Kingdom 1976-Lamborghini-Espada-Series-III-01.webp 1976-Lamborghini-Espada-Series-III-02.webp 1976-Lamborghini-Espada-Series-III-15.webp 1976-Lamborghini-Espada-Series-III-01.webp 1/15 1976 Lamborghini Espada Series III Iconic Auctioneers Ltd United Kingdom Last Featured Cars 1992-Subaru-SVX-01.webp 1992-Subaru-SVX-02.webp 1992-Subaru-SVX-10.webp 1992-Subaru-SVX-01.webp 1/10 1992 Subaru SVX DLS Automobile Germany 1990-Porsche-911-964-Carrera-RS-IROC-Evocation-01.webp 1990-Porsche-911-964-Carrera-RS-IROC-Evocation-02.webp 1990-Porsche-911-964-Carrera-RS-IROC-Evocation-15.webp 1990-Porsche-911-964-Carrera-RS-IROC-Evocation-01.webp 1/15 1990 Porsche 911 964 Carrera RS IROC Evocation Classic Connection United Kingdom 1964-Alfa-Rome-TZ-01.jpg 1964-Alfa-Rome-TZ-02.jpg 1964-Alfa-Rome-TZ-20.jpg 1964-Alfa-Rome-TZ-01.jpg 1/20 1964 Alfa Romeo TZ Oldtimer Galerie International GmbH Switzerland

Since 1960, Henry Ford had wanted to have a Ford race at Le Mans. After dealings with Ferrari fell through, Ford decided to produce his own car and began negotiations with Lola Cars manager Eric Broadley. The agreement between the two called for a year-long collaboration that included the sale of two Lola MK6 chassis to Ford. Soon after Ford hired ex-Aston Martin team manager John Wyer to work with the Ford Motor Co. engineer Roy Lunn on what was to become the Ford GT. The original GT40 and MK1, designed by Lunn, was prepared at the specially established, Ford Advanced Vehicles facility in the UK. Abbey Panels constructed the advanced monocoque chassis and the drive train finally chosen was the 289 Ford V8 mated to a Coletti transaxle. During the GT40’s racing history a variety of Ford engines were used. The GT made its debut at the Nürburgring in May ’64 and followed up the appearance with 24 hrs of Le Mans. The cars failed to finish both races – a devastating blow to the Ford Team. Although they were not successful at Le Mans in 64 or 65, their obvious potential led Ford to continue racing them and in 1966 Ford made American racing history with a dominant one, two and three finish over Ferrari at Le Mans. The Ford GT40 Evocation by GTD offered here at Autostorico is a factory built 1997 registered example. Finished in metallic Grey with Black leather interior, this iconic car sounds every bit as impressive as it looks. Powered by a freshly built SD Engineering Ford 351 V8 Windsor engine and driven through a 5-speed manual transmission with the gear selector correctly positioned. The GTD is recognised as being one of the highest quality recreations available with this car having been looked after by marque expert Frank Catt of Wealdon Engineering. Recent works include fitting the latest Holley carburettor rebuilding the suspension, brakes and steering. New seats and belts fitted. A truly a unique opportunity to own such a stunning example of a true racing legend. Supplied with a history file including current V5 registration document, MOT valid until October 2026, various invoices and other related material. 1997 Ford GT40 Evocation by GTD Autostorico Partners LLP If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1995 Porsche 911 GT2R

The 1990s resurgence of international GT endurance motorsport, born of the ashes of the defunct Group C formula, was characterised by its spirit, which returned to the sport’s roots and embraced levelling the playing field. And no car designed for this burgeoning new formula embodied this egalitarian philosophy than Porsche 993-generation 911 GT2R. Essentially a rear-wheel-drive version of the all-wheel-drive 911 Turbo exhaustively developed for competition, the GT2R must have felt like manna from heaven to privateer teams when Porsche announced it at Essen in November of 1994. Here was a fast, technologically straightforward and, comparative to its competitors, affordable racing car with which to contest – and genuinely compete in – the fast-increasing number of domestic and international GT series around the world. Porsche initially targeted 30 orders. Just three months after presenting the GT2R to the world for the first time, it had sold 45 cars. The 993 GT2R goes down in the marque’s fabled history as the final air-cooled international GT sports-racing car. “Here was a fast, technologically straightforward and, comparative to its competitors, affordable racing car with which to contest – and genuinely compete in – the fast-increasing number of domestic and international GT series around the world.” M005. An innocuous code, perhaps, but the ‘Rennsport Version’ factory equipment package it denotes defines the motorsport fundamentals of the GT2R. The long list of features chronicles the extensive transformation from road to race car, developed by the wizards of Weissach – Porsche’s Motorsports division. To the naked eye this included the deletion of the carpets, roof lining and engine-bay insulation. The singular Recaro racing bucket seat complete with six-point harnesses. The roll-cage welded directly to the bodyshell by Matter Industries. The three-piece centre-lock Speedline wheels. And, of course, the comprehensive aero package, characterised most obviously by those comically wide riveted on arches – facilitating the widest possible wheel-and-tyre combination. Naturally, the modifications were not just skin deep. Beneath the surface, Porsche’s engineers did away with the dual-mass flywheel, relying instead on a lighter single-plate clutch. They added an oil cooler to the gearbox. And an extra 22 horsepower was freed from the M64/81 3.6-litre air-cooled turbocharged flat-six engine thanks primarily to a considerably larger intercooler and the implementation of a state-of-the-art TAGtronic 3.8 electronic control unit. Such was its versatility that Porsche offered its privateer customers five different engine specifications, designed to adhere to the drastically different sporting regulations in racing series around the world. Multiple class wins in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Daytona 24 Hours and 12 Hours of Sebring tell only half the story when it comes to the competition success enjoyed by the Porsche 911 GT2R and the plucky band of privateers who ran them right around the world between 1996 and 2003. Chassis number 393099 Porsche built an initial run of 42 GT2Rs by the end of April 1995, including the incredibly special Speed Yellow example we’re thrilled to be offering. Chassis number 393099 was ordered in 1995 via Porsche Motorsports North America by the American eye doctor William ‘Bill’ Jackson from Denver, Colorado. Through the decades, Jackson had established himself as a pioneering collector of road-going and competition Porsches, with a particular penchant for low-mileage examples in time-warp condition. Given the specification of this GT2R, you’ll be surprised to hear Jackson had zero intention of ever racing it. He ticked virtually every box on the admittedly thin factory optional-extras sheet, chief among them the fast refuelling system, larger 380mm endurance-spec brakes, adjustable Bilstein dampers and TAG data-logging system. “Upon receiving his new thoroughbred Rennsport Porsche, Bill Jackson tucked the car away in his collection. And it remained there, carefully stored, for the entire 12 years he kept it.” The Michelin tyres, strut brace, switchable fuel-reserve system and Nomex seat upholstery complete the picture of what would have no doubt been an extremely effective competition car, particularly on longer-distance races such as the 12 Hours of Sebring and 24 Hours of Le Mans. Alas. Perhaps unsurprisingly, upon receiving his new thoroughbred Rennsport Porsche, Jackson tucked the car away in his collection. And it remained there, carefully stored, for the entire 12 years he kept it. Showing a mere 44 kilometres on the odometer, this Porsche was acquired by a Texan collector in 2007. As a man who called a racetrack his own, it must have been especially difficult to exercise restraint in not driving his new GT2R. But sure enough, he didn’t drive it. He kept chassis 393099 for six years, before the car joined the collection of its third – and current – owner and returned to Europe for the first time since it was delivered in 1995.. Today, having always been carefully stored and having covered just kilometres in 29 years, this Porsche 911 GT2R is unsurprisingly in genuine factory-fresh and flawless condition. Needless to say, chassis number 393099 retains its original matching-numbers chassis, engine and gearbox and all of its factory identification markers and stampings are present and correct. In July of 2024, Girardo & Co. specialist Davide De Giorgi travelled to our Turin facility, where this Porsche is currently kept, and carried out a comprehensive visual inspection, including a complete paint-depth reading. The purpose was to conclusively determine the originality of chassis number 393099. The results of the paint-depth readings can be distributed on request, but suffice to say, the inspection presented no reason to suggest that this GT2R is anything other than 100-percent factory original. The market for modern-era (post-1980) Porsches today is perhaps more discerning than any other marque, with mileage and corresponding originality of the utmost importance for collectors. The less a Porsche has been used, the more desirable it is – after all, you can always repaint or restore but ‘they’re only original once’, as the old adage goes. Further to its rarity, specification and significance as the final air-cooled international GT sports-racing model from Porsche, chassis number 393099’s minimal mileage (48 kilometres), clear provenance and according time-warp condition elevates this car not only above most of its competition counterparts but also towards the very top of the illustrious air-cooled Porsche tree. 1995 Porsche 911 GT2R Girardo & Co.
