- 1965 Chevrolet Corvette 327/365hp Stingray Convertible
Superb restorations are found all over the world and often feature exact details, accurate finishes, and certificates lauding perfection. And while cars with pristine restorations are exciting to enjoy, thoughtfully enhanced cars retaining vintage charm with modern updates are becoming highly sought-after by enthusiasts who enjoy driving their cars and participating in local shows. This example captures all the vintage details, accuracy, and finishes of the original 1965 Corvette with welcome upgrades in a correct 365 hp car with the matching engine. The subject of a comprehensive restoration, this 1965 Corvette roadster was restored by Top Flight Automotive, Reedsville, PA and completed in 2020. During the restoration, the owner intended to prepare the car with more modifications to the interior and engine compartment but found it to be too nice an original car. The owner and restoration team elected to proceed with modest updates to enhance the driving experience while retaining a historically faithful appearance with modern driving enhancements and correct factory finishes whenever possible. Enhancements to the car include: Modern air-conditioning Tremec 5-Speed transmission (original gearbox included) VBP 330 composite mono-leaf rear suspension Leather seats During the restoration, numerous correct parts were sourced from top Corvette suppliers including authentic interior components to match with a fresh set of leather seat covers, new foam, seat pivot spacers, and seat adjust handle to name just a few of the carefully sourced parts. Both the interior and exterior colors are correct per the original build per the trim tag. Receipts on file include details such as a new glove box lock, spare tire lock dust cover, a correct air cleaner base, notch shaft parking brake handle, and correct hardware. Shortly after completion, the car was sold to the current owner, a Northern California resident. Fitted with modern air conditioning, power steering, and a modern Tremec 5-speed transmission, the car arrived in California where it saw minimal use during the past two years. In 2022, services were performed on the car by Orinda Classic Car Center, Orinda, CA totaling over $8,500.00. Work including installing a new 670 CFM street avenger carburetor, carburetor heat shield, a new dual feed tube, new linkage and return hardware. A new internally regulated 100 amp alternator was installed, oil and filter changed, new exhaust manifold gaskets and studs fitted, manual transmission oil drained and filled, brake fluid flushed, coolant drained and fresh coolant filled. A new set of BF Goodrich Silvertown Radial/Goldline 205/75R15 tires were also installed. Condition Overview Today this Corvette roadster presents in excellent condition offering a beautiful stock appearance with tasteful upgrades to a professionally restored car. The Milano Maroon paint is glossy and properly prepared with excellent coverage throughout the body and very nice workmanship on inner strike surfaces and underside panels. The hood, doors, and trunk show very good panel gaps and proper fitting to the body, opening and closing with ease. The doors offer tight latching even when lightly closed. The exterior chrome and various trim, emblems, and badges are in excellent condition. The glass, lenses, and lighting have very nice factory finishes overall with newer rubber and gasket material freshened or replaced when the car was restored under prior ownership. The windshield has been replaced with the correct XYG with blue tint band. The vent window rubber, more difficult to replace, appears to also have been replaced during restoration. The carefully performed restoration offers a fresh and cohesive appearance including a beautiful grille, surrounding lighting, and smooth operating hidden headlights. The cast wheels and center caps (concealing five lug mounting) are in excellent condition with polished rim surfaces and spokes, showing no significant scratches or marks. A pair of side exit exhaust completes the performance presentation on this beautiful roadster. Newly fitted BF Goodrich tires are in excellent condition. The interior has been very nicely restored using correct components, proper materials, and attention to detail throughout while maintaining an essentially original appearance with just a few appropriate upgrades modernizing the driving experience. The seats have been reupholstered in leather, a welcome upgrade from the factory white and black vinyl installed when new. The instrument panel is in excellent condition as are the center console, radio, and beautifully finished steering wheel. The clock has been upgraded with a quartz movement and functions properly. The correct low pile black carpeting, interior door panels, convertible top and nicely detailed interior trim all come together offering a stock appearance to the sporty cockpit. All chrome interior features are in very good condition including the detailed knobs, switches, and “Corvette” script on the dashboard. The center console retains a stock shifter which discretely hides a modern Tremec 5-speed manual transmission. Air conditioning has been added to the car which is a welcome summertime feature even with the convertible top down. Under the hood, the 365hp matching numbers engine with correct broach marks on the stamping pad has been tended to with attention to detail favoring a combination of original finishes and important upgrades. The painted finishes under the hood have been correctly applied giving the car an original appearance with the added plus of modern air conditioning. The finish overall is very crisp, detailed, and tastefully done. The underside reveals a properly restored chassis with correct suspension components, new fuel and brake lines, and appropriate components. A new composite mono-leaf rear suspension spring has been installed. There is no visual evidence of structural compromise to the chassis or suspension mounting points. The car starts easily and runs smoothly, delivering a potent V8 sound that captures the heart of any performance enthusiast. The 5-speed manual transmission shifts smoothly and offers stout acceleration and is perfectly matched to the higher horsepower engine. Steering is excellent as are the important four-wheel disc brakes, first fitted to the Corvette in this inaugural year. Handling is vastly improved with the addition of the modern VBP composite mono-leaf rear suspension. This handsomely restored Corvette is ready for enjoyable driving and showing, delivering all the power and excitement of performance motoring from the proud and potent American performance era. Items Included with the Car This Corvette roadster is offered with the original unrestored 4-speed manual transmission, a car cover, sales literature, a knock off hammer, battery tender, two spare vented fuel caps, copies of selected receipts while under current ownership, and previous selected receipts from prior ownership. 1965 Chevrolet Corvette 327/365hp Stingray Convertible Fantasy Junction If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1970-ferrari-246-gtl-dino
This is one of the most historically significant and well-preserved early Ferrari Dinos to come to market in recent years. Chassis 01094 is an early and rare L-Series 246 GT, one of just 357 examples produced, and it retains its matching-numbers chassis, engine, gearbox, and body. Factory-completed on September 3, 1970, it was delivered new in Rosso Chiaro (20-R-190) over Nero Vinyl (161). This European-market example, equipped with instruments in kilometers, has passed through the hands of Kuwaiti royalty, an English Ferrari enthusiast, and a U.S. Air Force lieutenant—its most recent custodian for nearly 50 years. Recently acquired through a respected contact in the classic car world, this car was located as a garage-find in remarkably original condition, tucked away for decades by Lt. Frederick C. Dunn III in Georgia. Currently running the car was not operational when acquired, but has since been brought to life and driven short distances. It starts, engages gears, and runs smoothly, though it will require a mechanical inspection and full service prior to any road use. The Dino presents a unique opportunity to preserve, recommission, or sympathetically restore one of the earliest and most desirable iterations of the Dino lineage. One of only 357 factory L-Series 246 GTs built Matching numbers: chassis, engine (135 CS), gearbox, and body verified by Marcel Massini and Mathias Barth Reports Factory-completed on September 3, 1970 Delivered new to Prince Mohammed Nasser Al-Sabah of Kuwait, via the Kuwaiti Embassy in Tehran 1970s UK ownership by Dennis Butler-Smith, Greengrange Trading, Norbiton “D & S” crest still on the driver's door—unchanged since the 1970s Long-term ownership (1976–2022) by Lt. The fit and finish are exceptional: panel gaps are tight and honest, the doors close with factory precision, and the interior features a remarkable patina. That makes this an ideal candidate for either: preservation-class events, vintage rallies, or exhibition use. A sympathetic mechanical restoration, retaining patina or a concours-level restoration. - 1971 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Competition
The arrival of the V12 flagship 365 GTB/4 “Daytona” stunned patrons of the 1968 Paris Auto Show. Unofficially named the Daytona by the press, commemorating the recent 1-2-3 finish by Ferrari at 24 hours of Daytona, the media name rightfully conveyed the inspirational Ferrari win, and cemented their brand as a world leader. The Daytona featured a landmark Pininfarina body design, capturing a crisp, modern look with reverence to classic GT cars of the past. Given the mid-engine surge from Lamborghini and other sports car manufacturers, the Daytona might have been considered dated, but performance figures obliterated any doubts in 1971 when Dan Gurney and Brock Yates won the rigorous Cannonball Run in their Daytona at an average speed of 80.1 mph across 3,000 miles of America. Technical specifications included a 4.4 liter quad cam Colombo V12 engine producing over 350 hp and rear-mounted 5-speed transaxle, delivering optimal weight distribution. With independent suspension, disc brakes at all four corners and superb weight balance, the Daytona was extremely fast (174mph top speed) and quick (0-60 in 5.3 sec). Just 1284 Daytonas were produced before yielding to the mid-engine Berlinetta Boxer. And while press and public awareness was centered around the premier road car performance, after 500 units had been produced, FIA homologation for International Group 4 Special Grand Touring allowed Ferrari to prepare a limited number of Competizione versions for customer use. This series included fabricating an all-alloy body similar to the thin alloy units prepared for the 1969 Le Mans 24 Hours. The factory cars also included a roll cage, wider rear tires, flared fender, front fender stabilizer blades (which improved high-speed front-end aerodynamics), side exit exhaust, and a cold airbox to aid air flow to the Weber carburetors. By 1972 the cars were competing to a high level of success, particularly with privateers through the 1970s adding several subsequent modifications and improvements to these specialized cars. This uniquely prepared competition build was originally constructed as a factory road car finished in white with black interior. The car was delivered new to an Italian client in 1971. Later sold to Japan, the car was imported to England in 2004 where the owner at that time embarked on a detailed and documented construction to Series 1 competition Group 4 specifications. During this construction, Series 1 modifications began by carefully removing the factory body shell and installing an FIA roll cage. Expert fabricator Steve MacFarlane fabricated a stunning 1.2 mm thickness alloy body enveloping the factory per original Competizione specifications. The wheel openings were flared to allow the correctly sized front and rear magnesium wheel and tire combination. The headlight configuration was also fabricated to competition standards with correct Plexiglas covers. Plexiglas sliding side windows and a plexiglass rear window were also installed per original specifications. A competition outside fuel filler cap was configured to the rear, directly feeding a large capacity FIA fuel cell located in the trunk of the car. The engine was rebuilt with high compression pistons and standard camshaft specifications and updated with Roelofs competition exhaust manifolds. The Weber carburetors were fitted with competition inlet trumpets and a hand formed cold air intake plenum positioned above the radiator. Tim Adams Racing Engines dyno tested the engine. The resulting power makes for a very exciting car on the track, while remaining very tractable for road use. After completion of the initial build, the car was shipped to Portugal where it was race-prepared by Lorenzini Autosports of Lisbon and granted FIA HTP. The car was track tested at Estoril before being stored away with less than 3 hours logged on the motor. This Daytona was then further updated including fresh red paint with racing livery, and engine upgrades. At this time, larger rear fender flares were added as well as induction cowl venting, updating the car to reflect some of the best attributes of the second and third series Competizione cars. Most importantly, the accompanying FIA papers confirm the chassis to be of correct period specifications, correct adjustable coil platform suspension, fitted with a roll bar, six correct Weber 40 DCN 21 carburetors, using an electric fuel pump, and dry sump lubrication. A large capacity ATL fuel cell (with FIA compliance) occupies a large portion of the trunk, and an approved fire suppression system is properly fitted to the car with dashboard activation easily at hand. Additionally, the car is equipped with a power steering unit, modern twin electric cooling fans, and dual-mode air conditioning, all of which are welcome upgrades particularly on long distance or summer driving events. In 2019 the car was sold through Fantasy Junction to the current and consigning owner. Work performed on the car under current ownership includes the addition of a power brake booster, the addition of Cadmium plated trumpets, and recent service by Patrick Ottis including re-jetting the carburetors to sea level. Today this Daytona presents as a stunning example representative of factory Competizione cars. Every detail of the original factory construction including the rare, exposed headlight configuration, thin front fender high-speed stability blades, deep-angle front spoiler, and flared fender construction are all beautifully configured as part of the hand formed alloy body. The all-alloy body is exceptionally well-made with excellent build quality including correctly finished exposed rivet construction with beautiful glossy red paint covering the alloy panels. The finishes are beautifully prepared and correctly outfitted with proper features such as a front tow hook, correct recessed exterior electrical cut off, polished aluminum fuel filler, and chrome finished side marker lights. The doors, hood, and trunk open and close with excellent panel fit, itself a remarkable achievement given the aluminum construction and hand fitting required for these panels. Emblems, lighting, and various trim are further in excellent condition, with both front and rear valances cleanly shaped in the body due to the absence of bumper trim. The side glass has been replaced with correctly fabricated lightweight Plexiglas sliding units and proper trim supporting the perimeter mounts. The wicked and pounce-like stance is enhanced by competition inspired satin gold Cromodora wheels, which are in excellent condition. The wider rear wheel and tire configuration (10.4” x 15”) and correct front wheel and tire sized Goodyear racing tires complete the competition appearance of this remarkably constructed car. The interior is a stunning combination of original Ferrari Daytona features including beautifully finished correct leather seating with perforated inserts, a correctly replicated racing dashboard, and exceptional interior accents. The dashboard has a well-composed combination of original style instruments and competition style toggle switches, coupled with an exposed gated shifter, correct Ferrari steering wheel, modern Simpson competition seat belts, and a foot-rest bar appropriate for fortunate passenger bracing when cornering at speed. The factory round dashboard vents offer cold A/C to the cabin via a two-stage toggle switch on the central panel. The general interior presentation throughout is one of high quality, combining important safety upgrades, originality, and historically correct Competizione features. The engine and engine compartment further exemplify the thoughtful combination of original features and finishes, blended with racing details and uniquely fabricated parts. The engine has been professionally rebuilt and restored using correct finishes, proper hardware, and assorted Ferrari components. The six dual-throat Weber carburetors are beautifully presented with Cadmium finished velocity stacks, surrounded by a hand-formed aluminum forced-air intake tray, which delivers a nice contrast to the clean and honest representations of the factory crackle black Ferrari cam covers and custom racing exhaust. Further finish details include proper wiring, correct hoses, and an assortment of specially made parts, which have been either hand built or refined from original specifications. The underside is further evidence of a clean and professionally prepared car that has been properly addressed throughout the build and maintained under previous and current ownership. The chassis shows no visual evidence of damage or structural compromise, presenting the same level of confidence, construction, and excellence afforded throughout the build. Opening the lightweight alloy doors via the delicate factory door handle, the leather trimmed Daytona seat await just beyond a slight lift over the padded FIA side protection bar. A specific starting procedure to the electric fuel pump and ignition releases a V12 fury into a deep and throaty idle as the engine warms to operating temperatures. The engine climbs the revs, warming slowly as it comes to temp. Ready to engage, the throttle responds with a crisp, raspy voice. The light clutch takes up smoothly without shuddering and the gearbox works very well, both cold and warm with excellent synchros. The suspension is taut and responsive, with a bit more stiffness than a typical road car, allowing for more aggressive cornering and power transfer when exiting corners. The brakes, now benefiting from power-assist, should be warmed up for competition use, but even under general driving conditions are quite impressive. Acceleration is similar to a road going Daytona until pushed into the higher revs where the engine delivers a welcomed boost of power that drivers will easily enjoy leveraging under more spirited driving conditions. The car is offered with select records, FIA papers, a car cover, and spare Plexiglass headlight covers. Having benefited from both high-quality mechanical and cosmetic preparation, the car remains impressive, but, as always, we recommend the next owner engage a qualified racing specialty shop to perform a careful review and inspection of all mechanical components prior to spirited competition use. This truly exceptional competition Daytona has been constructed by attentive experts with careful regard to Competizione specifications and appropriate modern racing updates to meet FIA requirements. Sold with FIA papers, this Competition Specification Daytona is ready to bring a new owner both street and event driving pleasure at a fraction of the cost of a multi-million-dollar period construction example. 1971 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Competition Fantasy Junction If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The notice and take down procedure is described here: https://www.speedholics.com/copyright The arrival of the V12 flagship 365 GTB/4 “Daytona” stunned patrons of the 1968 Paris Auto Show. All EU taxes and fees have been paid and the car currently has a classic car registration in Germany. Before being registered, it was completely serviced to ensure many more years of trouble-free motoring. In addition to maintenance, the engine compartment and chassis received a dry-ice treatment and therefore present in fantastic condition. The original paint was detailed and now carries a protective ceramic coating. In short, this 928 would take pride of place in any stellar Porsche collection and is ready to be used and enjyoed. - 1981 Ford Capri 3.0 S
Raced by two giants of British saloon car racing, initially in Production Saloons and now Group 1, this well-known Autoplan Warranties 3.0 S Capri has amassed a trophy cabinet full of wins over the last four decades and is now on offer with a shiny new set of FIA papers. A slightly tongue-in-cheek suggestion by Roger Williamson, proprietor of Willhire Vehicle Rentals in Norfolk, resulted in the arrival on the club motor racing scene of the Willhire 24 Hours, an endurance race for production cars and Britain’s first 24-hour motor race. The event was staged every year between 1980 and 1994 at Snetterton Circuit, becoming known simply as “the Willhire”, and there can’t be many drivers at club and national level during those years that didn’t get involved at least once. Many Willhire winners went on to enjoy success in other forms of motor sport and we are proud to mention that our own Lionel Abbott won the race twice, in 1986 with Mike Smith (the first two-driver team to win the race) and in 1988 with Graham Scarborough. It was initially assumed that a production car being hammered around Snetterton for 24 hours would self-destruct so, for the first two years, it was a team event with up to four cars used, however, the survival rate was surprisingly good and from 1983 onwards, it became an individual event with cars shared by between two and six drivers. The Capri on offer today is a 1981 3.0 'S' that was originally built from a Ford-supplied, trimmed body shell for the 1981 production saloon car championships. With funding from Autoplan Warranties, it was put together by Roger Dowson of Gerry Marshal Racing (prior to Roger forming Roger Dowson Engineering) and was finished just in time for the Willhire where the ebullient Gerald Marshall and the equally quick but considerably better behaved, Graham Scarborough, co-drove the car to 2nd place in that race. Gerry continued to race the car for the rest of the season winning every race entered and both Production Saloon Car Championships. (BARC and BRSCC). At the end of the year Gerry sold the car to Harold Hagan in Ireland where it continued to race with much success. Some 15 years later, in late 1996, Graham Scarborough bought the car, still in it’s original Autoplan livery, and set about fully stripping it and rebuilding the Capri to Group 1 specification in order to compete in the Classic Saloon Car Club Pre-83 Group 1 Championships. Graham’s well known standards of preparation and his undoubted ability behind the wheel resulted in years of success including many wins, dozens of class wins plus the Championships outright in 1998 and ’99 and the Class in 2000 and ‘01. The car was well known at Spa, enjoying many successful visits up to its last outing there at the end of 2016. The Graham Scarborough-built Group 1 engine was refreshed in 2018 and was set up on Neil Brown’s dyno late in 2021 having done just three races and not used since. A new clutch has been fitted which transmits through to an original Hewland Group 1 close-ratio gearbox and an Atlas 3.44 ratio rear axle. Most recently, the car has benefitted from a thorough refresh with the paintwork and period livery being restored to a very high standard. The car is well set up and well balanced with Bilstein dampers all round. The Capri is complete with, recently issued, FIA HTP papers valid for 10 years making it eligible for Legends, Goodwood Members' Gordon Spice Trophy, Classic Touring Car Club (CTCRC) and the Historic Racing Drivers Club (HRDC) Gerry Marshall Trophy. Well known, much admired and superbly prepared, the ‘Autoplan Capri’ has always proven to be a very fast and very reliable front-running car and, in the right hands, should continue to be a winner. 1981 Ford Capri 3.0 S Iconic Auctioneers Ltd If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. A vehicle that has always been active, even with its last owner, a collector who has used it for what it is, in rallies and other competitions. The Lotus Elan offers unique driving sensations The Elan is technologically advanced compared to its competitors, with a 1558cc DOHC engine, four-wheel disc brakes, rack and pinion steering and four-wheel independent suspension. It's extraordinarily agile on slow twisty sections, but maintains spectacular poise on fast motorway sections. - 1972 De Tomaso Pantera 351 V8 Cleveland
The Pantera was designed by the Italian design firm Ghia's American-born designer Tom Tjaarda and replaced the Mangusta. Unlike the Mangusta, which employed a steel backbone chassis, the Pantera's chassis was of a steel monocoque design, the first instance of De Tomaso using this construction technique. The Pantera logo included a T-shaped symbol that was the brand used by De Tomaso's Argentinian cattle ranching ancestors,as well as a version of the Argentinian flag turned on its side, inspired by the company's founder, Alejandro De Tomaso, having been born and raised in Argentina. The car debuted in Modena in March 1970 and was presented at the 1970 New York Motor Show a few weeks later. Approximately a year later the first production cars were sold, and production was increased to three per day. The slat-backed seats which had attracted criticism at the New York Auto Show were replaced by more conventional body-hugging sports seats in the production cars: leg-room was generous but the pedals were off-set and headroom was insufficient for drivers above approximately 6 ft (2 m) tall. Reflecting its makers' transatlantic ambitions, the Pantera came with an abundance of standard features which appeared exotic in Europe such as electric windows. The car was completely restored in June 1999 with following elements: The engine: 351 Cleveland, 4 bolt mains and open chamber high performance heads, 10.7 to 1 pistons, competition cam, polished offenhauser intake, 650 CFM Holley 4 barrel carb, fluid damper balancer, roller rocker arms, Moly push rods, Edelbrock air filter and vent, Summit Racing electric fuel pump and gauge, 10 quart oil pan and stainless steel hardware used on exposed surfaces. To make this V8 sound amazing, a new flowmaster exhaust system has been fitted. Transaxle and chassis: 5 speed German transaxle POSI 310 Gear by ZF (same as Ford GT40), 4 wheel Wilwood Dynalite disc brake system, braided brake lines, oversize master cylinder. Body: model L bumper has been changed to European spec, mid wing and rear deck wing have been removed meaning the car has received a partial fresh coat of paint. Engine compartment and hood area painted with Imron, body painted Ruby Pearl, billet aluminium wheels. Our DeTomaso Pantera is an excellent example. With its amazing body work finished in Ruby Pearl all the way to its mechanicals, which are in great condition. Before the car leaves to its new owner, it will also receive a fresh service and a check to make sure that it is ready for many more fun miles. 1972 De Tomaso Pantera 351 V8 Cleveland Car Cave USA If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The notice and take down procedure is described here: https://www.speedholics.com/copyright The Pantera was designed by the Italian design firm Ghia's American-born designer Tom Tjaarda and replaced the Mangusta. - 1967 Maserati Sebring Series II
Very rare, 1967 4-litre Sebring 4000GTi the subject of an older restoration by McGrath Maserati and currently indicating just 2,539 miles. Having spent extravagantly on their motor racing program over the years, Maserati's coffers were a little depleted and their survival strategy for the 1960s centred on establishing the company as a volume producer of road cars. The Modena marque's new era began in 1957 with the launch of the Touring-bodied 3500GT. A luxury 2+2, the 3500GT drew on Maserati's competition experience, employing a tubular chassis frame and an engine derived from the Alfieri-designed 350S sports racing car unit of 1956. Suspension was independent at the front by wishbones and coil springs, while at the back there was a conventional live axle/semi-elliptic arrangement. Power output of the twin-cam six was around 220bhp initially, but later examples produced 235bhp on fuel injection. Built on the shorter wheelbase but otherwise similar chassis of the Vignale-bodied 3500GT Spyder, the Sebring 2+2 coupé arrived to much acclaim in 1962, and is now widely considered to be one of the most elegant and understated of the Sixties' Grand Tourers. Introduced in 1965, the Series II (Tipo AM 101/10) featured redesigned headlamps; modernised bumpers; new front indicators; and new side grilles replacing the lower extraction vents used hitherto. At the rear, apart from the squared off bumpers, the taillights were now mounted horizontally rather than vertically and the boot lid opening was narrower. A 3.7-litre version (lengthened stroke which enlarged it to 3,694 cc) was offered later in production and eventually a 4-litre (4,012cc) car towards the end of the model's life. Known as the 4000GTi, the 4-litre car produced 252bhp with an uplift to 261bhp right at the end. Numbers, as always with Italian cars of this era, are unconfirmed but it's believed that 247 Series II cars found homes of which 96 were 3.7-litre and 4-litre variants (combined), however, we don't believe that there are more than a handful of 4-litre cars currently in the UK. On offer here we do indeed have one of those rare 4-litre cars. It was finished in December 1967 and exported to New York where it was sold to its first owner by Bob Grossman Foreign Cars. Coincidentally, a later owner asked Bob Grossman to sell the car for him in January 1995 and it was purchased from there by its current owner, our vendor, who shipped it to the UK. In 2001, it was subject to extensive recommissioning by renowned marque experts, McGrath Maserati, with an engine rebuild and a fresh coat of its original Celeste Chiaro. Full details of this work are in the history file and the car has been looked after by them ever since. Our vendor moved to Spain in 2012 and took his beloved Maserati with him so it's currently Spanish registered and will be subject to a reduced Import Duty of 5% should the car remain in the UK. The current indicated mileage is just 2,539. Sitting on gleaming, tightly-laced Borranis wearing confidence-inspiring 205 Blockleys, the Sebring’s stance is taut and purposeful, athletic even and the light metallic hue emphasises the crisp, almost geometric lines of the panel-work softened by the gently descending, classic GT roofline. The Sebring looks like it means business with no need for the voluptuous, curvaceous lines of its mid-sixties Grand Touring rivals, a car for the discerning, well-funded owner with no need to prove it. The interior is equally masculine with inviting black leather everywhere and the dashboard looks functional and businesslike in comparison to the random arrangement found in mid-sixties Ferraris and 911s. The rear seats look like they have never been sat in, probably because no one ever has, and this fabulous cockpit is enhanced by a classic three-spoke wood-rim wheel and a period-correct (possibly original) Becker Grand Prix push-button radio. The engine bay is, as you would expect, neat, tidy and dry with areas of gentle patination, a classic McGrath sympathetic restoration. This is an exquisite example of the rare 4-litre Sebring with the bonus of two decades of maintenance by the UK's leading Maserati specialists. A very good-looking GT from Maserati's 'Golden Era'. 1967 Maserati Sebring Series II Iconic Auctioneers Ltd If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer.
