  • 1972 Porsche 911 2.7 Carrera RS Touring

For many, the Porsche 911 2.7 Carrera RS represents the ultimate, perfected peak of the original Porsche sports coupé concept and was destined to be an all-time classic. The model’s eminence at the forefront of the collector car world over the decades is such that it has become something of a litmus test for the state of the market. Satisfying the Group IV homologation requirement was the first and only reason for the RS’s conception, much to the dismay of the Stuttgart marque’s sceptical top brass. That Porsche wound up building 1,580 of its lighter, more hardcore (and more expensive) 911 racer-for-the-road, over 1,000 more than the minimum number required for said homologation, is indicative of how great a car it was. Ask those in the know and they’ll tell you that the first series of 500 cars are the most desirable today, not least because the body panels were crafted from thinner-gauge (and therefore lighter) steel. Two general specifications were sold: ‘Lightweight’, which channelled the hardcore spirit of the racer, and a more plush and comfortable ‘Touring’. The former is rarer, but the latter stayed truest to the 911’s Grand Touring roots. To drive, the Porsche 911 2.7 Carrera RS is a unique experience. You can feel its inherent raciness over the standard 911 S from the moment the air-cooled flat-six catches with its signature chatter. As you’d expect from a Porsche, it feels tight and solid and safe, but the way it inspires you with confidence and urges you to push on is infectious. Plus, once you’ve parked, climbed out, closed the door with that satisfyingly secure ‘clunk’ and walked away, there’s nothing quite looking back at a slinky, seductive, narrow-bodied 911. Especially one with a beautifully delicate ducktail on its bottom. Chassis no. 0056 A very early ‘first-500’ Porsche 911 2.7 Carrera RS Touring, chassis number 0056 was collected by its first German owner directly from the factory in November of 1972. It was the first of only 60 Carrera RSs to leave Zuffenhausen in Grand Prix white with Green decals. It was a generously specified car, with the limited-slip differential, Sport driver’s seat, headrests, shoulder seatbelts, a heated rear window and special black interior roof lining. We have charted chassis 0056’s story from 2013, when it was purchased in California by a German enthusiast building a remarkable collection of high-quality Porsches spanning the marque’s entire history. Reimported to Germany and registered with the number ‘F RS 1972 H’, this 911 has since been fastidiously maintained regardless of cost, carefully stored in the aforementioned collection and enjoyed on several occasions, including road trips in Germany and Sicily. Just over 9,000km have been clocked (and documented) since returning across the Atlantic. The myriad accompanying invoices paint an extensive picture of the last decade of maintenance, though specific works that stood out to us included the following. All four Fuchs wheels have been refurbished and shod with new tyres in March of 2024. The entire car has been repainted and ceramic sealed. The engine and gearbox have been thoroughly refreshed, serviced and cleaned. And a new plastic fuel tank has been fitted, of the same type and material as that originally used by the factory. “It presents as a wonderful and authentic example of the beloved Carrera RS formula, which transcended the Porsche world and came to symbolise the entire collector-car world.” Today, chassis number 0056 presents as a wonderful and authentic example of the beloved 911 2.7 Carrera RS formula that transcended the Porsche world and came to embody the entire collector car world. It’s accompanied by its factory user manuals, tool roll, jack set, spare wheel and Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. Presented in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition, it’s now waiting to be shown off and enjoyed, either on a spirited Sunday drive, an international road rally or the concours lawn. 1972 Porsche 911 2.7 Carrera RS Touring Girardo & Co. • 1989 Porsche 964 Carrera 2

In the vast 1980s, an extraordinary story of passion and dedication unfolded, led by the visionary Alois Ruf Sr. The fascination with Porsche began with a dramatic event. Senior had founded a tour bus company; during a drive through scenic Bavaria, Ruf Sr. saw a Porsche 356 lose control and go off the road with a bang. Like a true lifesaver, he brought the damaged gem back to his workshop. The restoration of this 356 became not only a passion project, but also the beginning of a new era. His heart stolen by the 911, Alois Ruf Jr. later took the wheel. No fan of autobuses full of senior citizens, he decided to focus entirely on Porsche, with a special emphasis on the 911. From the company's German headquarters, Ruf Jr. began refining Porsche models. Our example, a rare Carrera 2 RUF from the sought-after 964 generation, saw the light of day in sunny France in 1989. Shrouded in refined Marine Blau Metallic, this classic exudes purity and elegance. Every detail of this RUF has been carefully preserved, including the original booklets and documentation, safely stored in a Cool Classic box. By definition, this is a car that falls within every frame of a Cool Classic. Our passion for this impressive RUF is boundless; we just can't stop talking about it. • 1971 Porsche 911T

In 1968, Porsche enchanted car enthusiasts with the introduction of the 911 T (Touring), the new entry-level model alongside the celebrated L and S variants. A powerful 2-liter, 110 hp six-cylinder air-cooled engine was the basis. The year 1970 marked a turning point for all 911 variants with the impressive upgrade to a 2.2-liter, six-cylinder boxer engine - a reliable and smooth power source for the time. Considered the pinnacle of the early 911 lineup, the 1970s 911 T embraces the combination of a longer wheelbase and the authentic mechanical charm of its predecessors. In terms of driving characteristics, you also have a front row seat, the convertible feeling with the stiffness of a coupe. Ours is in exceptional condition, so cool! Completely body-off restored with attention to every detail, retaining the original numbers. The engine, an original 2.2L powerhouse, has been subtly adjusted to 207 HP, the secret? An extra shot of espresso! The chassis has been custom adjusted and refined with Bilstein shock absorbers that let the car drive like a dancing ballerina on her toes. A truly beautiful and professional car that has proven itself over the years as a lucrative investment. She is ready to cruise straight to St. Moritz with skis on her roof. With so much flair that even the most chic hotels almost beg her to stay over, where even the hotel pianist would like to play a tune for her. • 1963 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster

Forty six years ago in February, 1964, the last 300SL Roadster to be built and sold new to America arrived via ocean liner. Delivered in August 1963 via the European delivery program, chassis #3254 was one of the last five 300SLs built by Daimler Benz. One of four identical white-with-red roadsters built in the final week of production, it was the only one destined for America. The other three were delivered to European owners. These were the last production sports cars with a direct link to Mercedes factory racecars. Fourteen hundred Gullwings were built between 1954 and 1957. Eighteen hundred and thirty two roadsters were built between 1957 and the end of 1962. Only 26 roadsters were manufactured in 1963, the final year of production. During the ten years of 300SL production, the car was under constant development. During the final 1 months of this time span, 210 roadsters, only 6.4% of the total, were built with aluminum engine block, disc brakes and steering locks. Alloy block engines were used in the 300SLR factory racers of 1955 and in the two competition 300SL roadsters raced by Paul O'Shea to the SCCA class D championship in 1957. Mark and Mercedes Pollack were the original owners of this time warp roadster. They were tobacco merchants who were forced to leave their home in Cuba in early 1960 following the fall of the Batista government. They left behind their 45-acre estate, their business and an automobile collection that included a Bugatti, 3Ferraris, a Gullwing and a white with red 300SL roadster. Fidel Castro now resides in their former home in Cuba. The Pollacks later maintained homes in North Carolina, Madrid and Geneva. In August 1963 while visiting Andorra, Mrs. Pollack read that the 300SL had been discontinued. She immediately called the factory, was informed that only four 300SLs remained and purchased the only remaining white with red roadster, her color preference, sight unseen. Mrs. Pollack was persuasive. Notwithstanding the American list price of $11,500 and the European list price of $8,200, Mrs. Pollack negotiated a sale at $6,500. Her original bill of sale confirms that this was perhaps the least expensive new roadster ever sold by Daimler Benz. She named it "La Paloma Blanca". At the time, uncomfortable with a manual transmission, she arranged for a factory representative to drive her home to Geneva. The Pollacks returned it to the factory in October 1963 for service and installation of options. Mercedes posed with La Paloma Blanca in this 1963 photo taken in Switzerland that also shows the dual side mirrors, customs plate and the luggage rack. The European headlights have been replaced with the sealed beam type as required for later transportation to the U.S. The Pollacks returned with the car via ocean liner to New York City in February, 1964 and drove it home ot North Carolina. Unfortunately, Mark's vision deteriorated and it was placed in storage after having been driven only 16,000 miles in 1966. In a deal brokered by Ed Jurist of the Vintage Car Store in Nyack, New York, La Paloma Blanca was sold to Ann Hallowell of Greenwich, Connecticut in January 1977. Ann and Morris Hallowell are antique dealers who have a sophisticated appreciation of mechanical precision, beauty, rarity and history. Ann preserved its low-mileage originality and mechanical condition as she drove it only 2,500 miles during her 20 years of ownership. Ann posed for the accompanying photo with her roadster in 1990. Frank and Beverly Spellman acquired it in 1997. It has been driven less than 28,200 miles since new. It is the only European specification roadster ever purchased through the European delivery program. In 1998 and 1999 it was a class winner in its all-original condition. In 1999, it was rear- ended in a minor fender-bender as it was prepared for the Greenwich Concours. Paul Russell was entrusted with the repair and carefully walked the fine line between restoration and preservation of its low-mileage originality. It was given a bare metal Pebble Beach quality total repaint, engine bay detailing and a new soft top. The mechanical aspects were carefully inspected and complete servicing was done. Options and accessories include chrome sport wheels with the original Continental white wall tires; soft top; Becker Grand Prix semi-transistor radio; Reims short wave adaptor; Hirschman antenna; jack; tool kit; and factory competition seatbelts. Original Hepco factory luggage with the original luggage tags remains in the trunk. The one-of-a-kind trunk-mounted ski and luggage rack is believed to be a factory prototype. It is fitted with Karl Baiche factory luggage as was delivered with the Pollack Gullwing. The snow skis and poles were made in Norway in the 1950s. Manuals, warranties and service records have all survived. The original European delivery order book and original upholstery book remain with the vehicle. The original auto club badges and rally badges are from auto clubs of which Mark was a member and from rallies the Pollacks attended while in Europe. The original luggage stickers are from ocean liners on which the Pollacks traveled. The Bullock-Mercedes knockoff hubcaps give the appearance of knockoff wheels. Only three other sets are known to exist. During 2000-2005, this vehicle received numerous awards, including three "Best-of-Show" trophies and major awards at The Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance, The Meadow Brook Concours d' Elegance, The Burn Foundation Concours, The Greenwich Concours, The Radnor Hunt Concours, The Concours d'Elegance of Hilton Head Island, The Concours d'Elegance at Cranbrook, The Gull Wing Group Convention, and The Antique Automobile Association National Meet. It was selected as the "centerfold Mercedes" in the July/August 2001 issue of the Mercedes Benz Club of America Star magazine. In 2002, it was the featured 300SL roadster in Dennis Adler's book, The Art of the Sportscar. It appeared in the March, 2004 issue of Classic & Sports Car, the July, 2004 issue of Car Collector, and most recently appeared in the 2006 book Daimler & Benz: The Complete History by Dennis Adler. In 2006, it received the Mercedes Trophy at the York County Heritage Trust Concours d'Elegance in York, Pennsylvania and the Chairman's Award at the Glenmoor Gathering Concours d'Elegance ni Akron, Ohio. In 2007, while being driven on a 1,500 mile 50" "anniversary tour", ti was awarded two best in show trophies; an AACA Senior Award in Binghamton, New York; and class awards at MBCA StarTrack in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and at the William K. Vanderbilt Jr. Concours d'Elegance in Newport, Rhode Island. In 2008, it won two best-in-class awards at local Washington, D. C. events. It was featured in the April, 2008 issue of Mercedes Enthusiasts magazine. In 2009 it was shown only once and received The Best of Marque award at the 26 Annual Deutsche Marque Concours d'Elegance. After 46 years its unused original paint hardtop was installed and it will again enjoy life as a coupe. It has been maintained in outstanding mechanical condition for the last twelve years by legendary mechanic Norbert Lamp. 1963 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster Mouse Motors LLC If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The notice and take down procedure is described here: https://www.speedholics.com/copyright Forty six years ago in February, 1964, the last 300SL Roadster to be built and sold new to America arrived via ocean liner. • 1988 Porsche 944 Turbo Cup 4

In 1986, Germany introduced the Porsche 944 Turbo Cup series to the world, a one-model championship that put the 944 in the spotlight. Two years later, in 1988, Porsche Canada’s manager and former racing driver David Deacon brought the series to Canada and after securing sponsorships from some of the biggest names in motorsport, named it the Rothmans Porsche Turbo Cup. Apart from a healthy purse for the series winners, the season champion won a seat in a Rothmans-backed 962C at the next year’s running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The races eventually spread overseas to countries like France but remained extremely popular in Canada. The “Turbo Cup” cars, as they came to be called, were 944 Turbo models built by the Weissach factory specifically to race in the Cup Series. These racers weighed around 600 lbs less than a regular 944 Turbo and came equipped with numerous performance enhancements such as magnesium wheels, intake, and oil sump, a smaller and lighter alternator, bespoke brakes, and Bilstein suspension. The inside featured a steel roll car along with a Recaro racing seat and the absence of any convenience features like air conditioning. The 2.5L inline 4-cylinder engine got a larger output turbocharger, sending 250 HP and 272 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential and close-ratio 5th gear. Only 39 examples were ever produced by Porsche over the series’ three-year lifespan, making the 944 Turbo Cup one of the rarest Porsches one could own. This particular example, Chassis # WP0AA0950JN165096, is a low-mileage 944 Turbo Cup with only 10,099 km (6275 miles) on the odometer and a single private owner. On top of multiple podium finishes throughout its history, this pedigreed racer was driven by famed driver Ron Fellows in the 1990 Series to an 8th Overall finish and still proudly wears that same livery. Just before the last race of the 1990 series, the engine was reportedly rebuilt by Ron Fellows team and still has the Porsche stamped lead clamps adorning the engine. Following the end of the series, this Porsche was purchased by the second owner in 1990, who removed the magnesium oil pan to keep it safe (The rare magnesium oil pan is included with the sale of the car). The car is all original from the rear quarters forward, including the hood, windshield, and other glass. Despite being involved in a rear-end collision with Ron at the wheel during the 1990 season, the accident damage was repaired properly, leaving the car in the proper spec and condition. This rare Turbo Cup will need some normal timeout and safety items addressed before it is ready to hit the track again but it runs and drives without an issue as it is. These Weissach factory-built Porsche race cars are few and far between, making examples at this price point with such low mileage and exceptional history, an absolute must-have for both Porsche collectors and race enthusiasts alike. Given their pedigree, they are eligible for HSR, PCA Club Races, and more while also perfectly gracing the lawn of any Porsche-specific Concours event. Upon purchase, the new owner will receive a copy of the logbook, numerous spare parts, including a seat, suspension components, the original steering wheel utilized by Ron Fellows, a 944 Turbo Cup transmission, the original magnesium oil pan, and more, along with period photos featuring this 944 Turbo Cup in its glory days. EXTERIOR Body And Paint The body of this example is very straight overall, free from any obvious dents or big dings, and all of the shut gaps are very good for a race car. All of the graphics are applied in the correct places and look very nice with minimal sun fading. The painted hood graphic is original from the last Rothmans Turbo Cup race it was in, as is the original turbo cup-specific fiberglass hood. The car was originally red. There is evidence of green in some areas from when it was painted in the Fuji Film livery during the 1988 season prior to its current livery. The paint is nice and consistent throughout, and the stickers are applied with care. Overall, the car is very presentable cosmetically, especially considering it is a race car. We believe the process graphics sticker on the roof is original, as are the stickers on the windshield. The windshield appears to be original as well, with factory stickers still applied to it. As seen in footage of the Rothman series in 1990, during this car’s last race with Ron Fellows at the wheel, it did spin and hit a barrier, causing damage to the rear, which was properly repaired by the previous owner who replaced the rear valance trunk floor and rear sections of the quarter panels. Overall, this car is cosmetically excellent per race car standards, and you really wouldn’t touch anything if you intended to do some vintage racing or even take the car on the show field. Glass And Trim All of the glass appears to be original with correct insignias, including the windshield. The windshield does have some small stone peppering throughout, but no cracks or other serious chips are evident. All of the exterior trim fits nicely and is relatively supple for its age, considering it is a race car. Wheels INTERIOR Seats And Surfaces The interior is acceptable for a race car with the original original cage still intact, the original date-coded Riccaro seat and passenger seat in place, with carpeting in place from the rear seats forward. The carpeting in the rear seating section has been removed. The current steering wheel installed is incorrect, but the nice original Ron Fellows steering wheel comes included with the car. The odometer shows 10,099 km which we believe to be original. Functionality And Accessories All of the gauges appear to function correctly. The headlights have been removed. If racing is the goal, all of the time-out items, such as the racing harnesses, seats, etc. will need to be addressed prior to any track time. ENGINE BAY AND TRUNK Engine Bay The engine bay is extremely original with its original magnesium intake and factory stickers present throughout. It even comes with its original magnesium oil pan included. The engine bay is highly correct for a turbo cup car with its original suspension strap bar mounts, no power steering, and its correct fiberglass hood. As told by the previous owner, who bought the car in 1990 from the original team, he claims that before its last race, the engine was rebuilt by Porsche and sealed with lead clamps that are still present on the car. We believe the engine is original to the car and has the correct prefix number. If racing is the goal, all of the time-out items will need to be addressed prior to any track time. Trunk Area The trunk area is sparse and completely empty, with no carpeting. Acceptable for a race car. Underside The underside is original and tidy for a race car. MECHANICALS Engine The car cold starts well and sounds very healthy, with a loud growl coming from the turbo cup-specific Walker exhaust, which sounds wonderful. The car makes linear, smooth power throughout all the gears, and there are no issues to note. If racing is the goal, all of the time-out items will need to be addressed prior to any track time. Transmission The transmission feels great, with no grinding upon shifting or other issues to note. However, the clutch is a bit on or off and chatters sometimes upon takeoff. Brakes And Suspension The brakes function as they should, stopping quickly and smoothly and free from chattering or fading. The suspension feels firm and tight over bumps, with no issues to note. Again, if racing is the goal, all of the time-out items will need to be addressed prior to any track time. Tires The original magnesium cup wheels still have their original tri-coat pearlescent finish albeit they are fairly beat up. Currently, it has Hoosier Slicks in good condition but with 2016 date codes. DRIVING EXPERIENCE The 944 Turbo Cup feels incredibly special when sitting behind the wheel. Just knowing you are sitting in a Weissach-built, factory Porsche race car from the 1980s is a special experience in and of itself, but when coupled with the sound of the exhaust, the Recaro seat wrapped around your sides, and the perfectly balanced cornering characteristics and power, the experience is truly unmatched. They do everything right, on and off the track. These are tame, street-able cars when you want them to be and ferocious track terrors at the drop of the green flag. 1988 Porsche 944 Turbo Cup 4 LBI Limited If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1974 Ford Capri II 3000GT

Five years after the launch of the original Capri, in 1974, Ford decided to introduce a practical element to their market-leading Capri. The original car is well known as being influenced by the iconic Mustang, but interestingly for the new 1973 Mustang II, Dearborn had a good look at what their European division was doing with their Capri II which was being developed at the same time. Similar outcomes in many respects, with both being somewhat overshadowed by the originals, however, of the two very different cars, the Capri II was arguably the better. The design brief was to improve the boot access and space, and resolve the poor rearward visibility, and the new 'Hatchback' design was bang-on-trend. Apart from the Reliant Scimitar, no other sports coupé combined the folding seat and rear hatch combination. Around 150 changes separated the original and Capri II, but the engines and much of the running gear and chassis design were carried over. Prior to the arrival of the 3000 Ghia and much later the JPS, the 3000GT was the top of the Capri II range. Powered by a 2,993cc V6 generating 138bhp and 174lb/ft it was quick and, with independent coil springs, telescopic dampers, MacPherson struts, an anti-roll bar and rack and pinion steering, it handled really well. Never known to miss a marketing opportunity, Ford UK decided that it would be advantageous if their new 3000GT could be seen by as many people as possible in the right environment, so the decision was made to gift one of the early cars to Silverstone Circuits Ltd to be used as the circuit's first 'Flying Doctor' Medical Car. Finished in Daytona Yellow with a black vinyl roof and sporting their new Mk 3S alloys, the Capri certainly looked the part, particularly when sign-written with Silverstone Resuscitation Unit down each side. It was in use until the early 1980s and must have been seen by millions of people The car was subsequently enjoyed by two further owners before being purchased by our vendor, Brian Pallett, in March 2013. Brian is a friend of Silverstone Auctions and was the circuit manager of Silverstone for many years. We understand that the car has been repainted in its original Daytona Yellow and has been regularly serviced and kept garaged. As an interesting aside, PTW 473M had a minor action role in the 2018 film 'Yardie' directed by Idris Elba. The film is set in London in 1983 and the car can be seen outside a rather seedy Turkish Social Club. 1974 Ford Capri II 3000GT Iconic Auctioneers Ltd If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1963 Lotus Eleven Breadvan

FIA HTP Papers. Highly eligible with Goodwood provenance. Road registered. The Lotus Eleven was a racing car built from 1956 to 1958 and proved to be very competitive particularly in the hands of British racing driver Graham Capel. Graham had seen how successful the Ferrari 250 Breadvan and had been and decided to apply the same principles to his own Lotus Eleven by adding the distinctive long low roofline and pizza oven rear window. Capel’s car finished second in class at Goodwood on 12th September 1962 paving the way for a handful of other Elevens being converted to coupes. Most of the converted Elevens over the proceeding years were converted back to original open specification. Fascinated by Capel’s story Lotus aficionado David Cooke tracked down Graham Chapel, who still had some of the original Breadvan bodywork including its iconic hardtop. He also had a Lotus Eleven series 2 project which he was in the process of rebuilding. I deal was agreed and David with Capel’s assistance utilised the skill of friend, pre-war Alfa Romeo expert and renowned ‘resurrectionist’ Neil Twyman, the man behind the CEGGA-Ferrari, this Lotus was painstakingly converted. As with Davids CEGGA Ferrari rebuild having access to the original constructor along with drawings proved invaluable, recreating the car as per original, even down to its period correct BMC Squadron Blue bodywork including Capel’s original sponsors David Plumstead Racing. David enjoyed many successful races in the UK and Europe with the highlight being the Moss Trophy at Goodwood 72 members meeting in 2014. In the hands of Joe Twyman and Olly Bryant the little Breadvan finished half a second behind its more powerful rival the Aston Martin DB4 GT having repeatedly changed places with the Aston. This much loved unique car will certainly be welcomed at numerous historic events in the UK and abroad. Supplied with a comprehensive history file including a current V5 registration document along with valid FIA HTP papers. 1963 Lotus Eleven Breadvan Autostorico Partners LLP If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1972 Alpine A110 1300VC V85 Berlinette

The diminutive A110, a charismatic sports car and rally legend; fresh from a recent restoration and a 'hot' Gordini engine and 5-speed gearbox. Perhaps the most celebrated Alpine-Renault ever produced was the A110, introduced in 1962 as the replacement to the Dauphine-based A108. The A110 experienced a remarkable evolution in terms of power output throughout its production years, utilising a succession of Renault engines and related mechanicals. The model proved to be highly successful in rallying and, in 1969, A110s swept the top three positions in the Coupe des Alpes and one finished third in the Rallye Monte Carlo in both 1969 and 1970. The Alpine-Renault's competition record continued to improve throughout the following years, winning the World Rally Championship in 1971 and 1973. The 'Version 85' of the A110 was marketed by the company as an entry-level model when it was first introduced in 1970. Sourced from the Renault 12, the 1,300cc four-cylinder engine produced a credible 81bhp and, with a curb weight of just 700kg, the little Alpine was good for over 110mph and highly exciting to drive. The V85 had been renamed the '1300' by the time the model was discontinued in 1976, at which point some 2,890 examples had been produced over the model's six-year production run. The car presented here is a Dieppe-built 1972 Alpine A110 1300 VC (V85) 'Berlinette' or Coupé. It's on offer from a vendor who is extremely well-informed about 'everything A110', owning another example - an ex-works car, no less. Due to his knowledge and enthusiasm for the marque, he was informed of this car, chassis #12943, found slumbering in a barn and wearing registration OAB 139K. Apparently, it was first registered in the UK in August 1997 and the final recorded MOT was dated 30th July 1999. It was rediscovered in a sort of 'Targa-spec', having possibly been campaigned in some way, but hadn’t turned a wheel in over 20 years. An old Certificat d'Assurance and tax disc affixed to its windscreen suggest it was still being used (wearing registration 6114 TJ 95) in 1997-98 (so just prior to it coming to the UK) in the Val-d'Oise Département, located just north of Paris (this is further confirmed by an accompanying 1995 invoice made out to an owner in Bezons). Seeing the car's inherent quality and state of preservation, our vendor bought it and set about having it fully recommissioned, new suspension, painted and properly set up on a rolling road, spending c.£25,000 in the process. The attention to detail has been exacting - it was hard not to be with his love of Alpines - and the end result certainly shows this. Alpines, because of their rallying credentials, are often evolved over the years by owners for competition (or semi-competition) activities and interestingly this car's engine appears to be the rarer Gordini 1.3-litre 4-pot (with a special head, early Italian Weber carburettors, and an original/rare coil and distributor) giving a very healthy 110bhp (see photo of engine tag), paired with a 5-speed gearbox, all very desirable features for an A110, and confirmed by our vendor’s knowledgeable mechanic. Overall, this is a rare and desirable car, on offer from a real marque expert and is an exciting opportunity for its new owner to write the next chapter in the story of #12943. 1972 Alpine A110 1300VC V85 Berlinette Iconic Auctioneers Ltd If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1957-bmw-507-series-2

Originally the brainchild of Vienna-born, New York-based automotive impresario Max Hoffman, the BMW 507 represented a concerted attempt by Milbertshofen to re-establish themselves as a major player in the burgeoning luxury and sports car market of the mid-1950s. BMW’s pre-war commercial and sporting success had been predominantly European in focus, and largely underpinned by models such as the 315/1, 319/1, and 328. However, it was evident that the automotive landscape had changed significantly since 1939, and that the United States would be critical to the company’s future expansion plans. Significantly, Hoffman was credited as being the single most influential component in the US-European automobile import/export equation of the 1950s, having operated as an exclusive Jaguar importer for the US from 1948 until 1952 and thereafter in a similar role for Porsche and Mercedes-Benz. His success in driving US-bound exports for all three manufacturers was central to BMW’s decision to proceed with the 507, although the need to avoid a potential pricing conflict with the former’s 356 Speedster and the latter’s 300 SL would prove critical. However, if this could be achieved, Hoffman was confident that demand for the 507 would stretch to thousands of units a year; the majority being destined for the US market. In employing an all-aluminium Type-507/1 3.2-litre V8 engine derived from the incumbent 501 and 502 Saloon range—and a shortened and strengthened version of the 2+2 503’s chassis frame—BMW were able to make use of existing tooling and components, although such relatively mundane underpinnings contrasted starkly with the extravagantly rakish aluminium bodywork styled by Albrecht von Goertz. Invaluable input from BMW mainstays Fritz Fiedler and Alex von Falkenhausen ensured that the car was exquisitely engineered, but from the outset it became apparent that BMW’s estimated production costs were wildly optimistic—thereby leading to an unexpectedly inflated selling price. Popular reaction to car at the 1955 Frankfurt Auto Show proved overwhelmingly positive, but the eventual US sales price of over $9,000 approached double the figure of $5,000 initially suggested by Hoffman. Remarkably, this also equated to more than double the price of a comparable Jaguar XK, and exceeded even the cost of a 300 SL; a car by now well-established stateside, and against which the 507 was now competing directly. Significantly, with a 0-60 time of over 11 seconds and a top speed of a mere 122 mph, the 507 proved markedly slower than the 300 SL; the latter recording corresponding figures of 138 mph and 7.7 seconds respectively. Remarkably—and in stark contrast to the combined 300 SL Gullwing and Roadster production of some 3,258 cars—just 252 507s would be constructed between 1956 and 1959. Of these, the first 34 were retrospectively designated Series I cars, with the subsequent 218 chassis termed Series II. Although the model’s relatively modest power output of 150 horsepower remained substantially unchanged between series, later cars benefitted from a reduction in fuel tank size from 110 to 66 litres—affording a commensurate increase in trunk capacity—while also benefitting from an improved dashboard layout, greater seat adjustment and the introduction of a cabin rear parcel shelf. As an early Series II car, this striking example benefits from the enhanced ergonomics introduced from mid-1957 onwards, not to mention the desirable optional front disc brakes and Rudge centre-lock wheels. Regrettably, little is presently known as to chassis 70080’s early history but it would appear that the car was originally exported to the United States, where it was first registered on 1 August 1957. By the mid-1980s, it had reverted to European ownership; the car being acquired around this time by Albert Keller, appropriately domiciled in BMW’s home city of Munich, Germany. Herr Keller evidently owned the car for several years, with his custody being noted in both the BMW 507 Register of 1985—compiled by the BMW Vintage Club of America—and the corresponding publication of 1987/88. However, by the late 1990s it had returned to the United States; the car being offered for sale at auction in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1999, at which point it displayed an odometer reading of just 54,183 miles. In the early 2010s, 70080 was acquired by the noted French collector Henri Chambon, whose collection at one time or another included a Bugatti Type 57C Atalante, Ferrari 250 GT SWB, and the 1964 Tour de France Automobile-winning Ferrari 250 GTO. In his ownership, the car was entrusted to respected engine authority Raphaël Rondoni, who promptly embarked upon an exhaustive two-year restoration. This included a comprehensive engine rebuild in 2012-2013 by Bugatti master craftsmen Ventoux Moteurs Ingénierie of Carpentras, France, at a cost in excess of €50,000. Once disassembled, the engine work performed included machining of the cylinder block and cylinder head faces and the fitment of a new steel crankshaft, cylinder liners, Arrow “H-section” connecting rods, high compression Wossner forged pistons, an uprated camshaft, and new high-tensile cylinder head studs. Additionally, the cylinder heads benefitted from new Xceldine titanium valves, valve springs, beryllium bronze valve seats and guides, and further machining to the combustion chambers, while the lubrication system and oil pump were appropriately uprated. All ancillary components—such as the water pump, starter motor, and carburettors—were completely overhauled, while the distributor was converted from conventional “points” to electronic ignition, to enhance practicality and reliability. Finally, a custom-made tubular exhaust system was fitted with the dual purpose of both improving performance and saving weight. Upon completion of the work, the engine was bench tested by Ventoux Moteurs and was found to produce 225 horsepower—a significant increase of some 75 horsepower over the original figure quoted by BMW. Concurrent with the engine rebuild, the car was entrusted to accomplished upholsterer and trimmer Raymond Ratto of Cannes, France, who was tasked with re-trimming it with red leather seats and red carpets to original 507 specification. A new black Alpaca hood was also fitted, together with a black hood bag and red tonneau cover, while the rear luggage area was re-trimmed with grey carpet. To further improve practicality and driver enjoyment, electronically-assisted rack and pinion power steering was fitted, although the original factory fitment items accompany the car as a condition of sale. Finally, an alternator was fitted in place of the original dynamo to ensure that more consistent and reliable electrical charging could be achieved. Following the conclusion of the restoration, the car provided M. Chambon with several years of exhilarating, trouble-free motoring, during which time some 25,000 kilometres were covered. However, the decision was taken in 2021 to remove the engine for subsequent disassembly and routine inspection by Ventoux Moteurs. At this point, the engine was once again fitted with new cylinder liners, with all shell bearings also being replaced, the tappets modified with new anti-friction material, the camshaft bearing lubrication system optimised and spark plug inserts fitted. Furthermore, the car was also subjected to a complete gearbox rebuild—including the fitment of all new bearings and syncromeshes, and a new clutch—and a complete overhaul of the back axle. In March 2022, 70080 was acquired from M. Chambon by the consigning owner; 3,000 kilometres had been covered since the previous year’s engine refresh. In the present ownership, usage of the car has been modest, but its maintenance no less fastidious than that performed previously; a fact confirmed by the carrying out of a comprehensive service—including the fitment of a new fuel gauge and cooling fan sensor—by Heritage Motor Cars of Paris as recently as July 2022, at a cost of some €2,257. In successfully fusing the aesthetic appeal of von Goertz’s original design with contemporary—and, crucially, sympathetically executed—performance and ergonomic improvements, 70080 remains uniquely well-placed amongst its peers to cope with the rigours of 21st century motoring. Accompanied as it is by a highly desirable body colour factory hard top, engine bay-mounted tool kit, and original Owners’ manuals, it remains a superbly appointed and exquisitely maintained example of this most capable of 1950s Grand Tourers, and one fit to grace the roads of the Côte d'Azur, Italian Riviera, or even the Pacific Coast Highway—exactly as originally intended. 1957 BMW 507 Series 2 RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1993 Honda Acura NSX

General Overview When Honda first launched the NSX, it instantly established tbe newly established Acura brand as a leading builder of performance cars. Only four years had lapsed since the Acura name emerged as a premier division, but sports car perceptions were about to be forever changed. Honda began their quest in 1984, eager to produce a competitor to Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porsche by targeting the Ferrari 328 as the car to beat. Honda wanted to meet or exceed the performance of the Ferrari, while maintaining Honda reliability, at a reasonable price. The team developed the commanding naturally aspirated V6 VTEC engine - the world's first production car engine with titanium connecting rods, forged pistons, and ultra-high revving capabilities. With redline at a superior 8,000 rpm, the NSX was tested by Formula One legend Ayrton Senna, who would become a primary performance consultant, convincing the company to stiffen the NSX chassis further after testing the car at Honda's Suzuka GP circuit. In addition to Senna’s extensive contributions, legendary Japanese Formula One driver Satoru Nakajima and prominent American driver Bobby Rahal were both active participants in the car's unprecedented development as the world’s first all-aluminum production car. When the NS-X (short for "New Sports Experimental") debuted at the Chicago Auto Show in February 1989, sports car enthusiasts were astounded by its stance, striking lines, and distinct cab-forward design. Sporting a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive layout and lightweight aluminum construction, the NSX was hailed by many as the "Everyday Supercar" capable of competing against Ferrari and Porsche, offering incredible balance, sophistication, and reliability, while exceeding everyone’s expectations in essentially every performance category while remaining as easy to use as any modern Honda. Today these unique and desirable cars further engage new generations of enthusiasts eager to experience the astonishing performance as a new classic. History and Build Details of This Car This rare Acura NSX is one of just 598 built in 1993 and one of 194 5-speed manual transmission examples built in the desirable black over black leather combination. An early production sequence example, this car was delivered to the first owner, located in Fort Lauderdale, FL and later moved with the original owner to Greenville, SC where it amassed just 7400 miles before being sold to the second owner in 2011. Though miles were kept low, the second owner engaged Piedmont Honda to replace the timing belt in 2011 before selling it to the third and current owner in April 2012. The current and consigning owner titled and registered the car in August 2013. The California title declares the actual miles at that time of 9,826, which is consistent with the consecutively accumulated miles reflected in the Carfax report. After the current owner’s purchase, a set of California compliant Comptech headers were purchased from DC Sports. The car is also fitted with a DownForce air intake unit for increased air flow (original unit included with the car). This NSX has since passed emissions testing including a recent May 2024 emissions test (certificate included with sale). Services in preparation for sale include the installation of a new timing belt and water pump, new accessory belts, new valve cover gasket, a new set of Continental Extreme Contact tires, fluids checked and topped off and oil and filter change (May 2024). Over the past decade of current ownership this car has been stored indoors as part of a private performance car collection. The owner has preserved the car with originality in mind including the purchase of numerous spare consumable OEM Honda parts more commonly subject to wear on higher mileage cars which are included with the car. Condition Overview Today this NSX presents as an excellent and rare black on black factory example with preserved original finishes of very high quality. Low mileage NSXs have become increasingly challenging to find due to their amazing driving manners. They are literally hard to resist once behind the wheel. For a collector seeking a very nicely preserved and well-maintained NSX, this is a very enticing example. The exterior finish is smooth and glossy exhibiting excellent quality on all factory aluminum body panels including the front and rear flexible composite bumper caps. The black finish has been metered on all aluminum body panels using a digital paint meter which indicated single digit numbers on all metal panels consistent with factory applied paint. The doors, hood, and deck lid open and shut properly with excellent panel gaps and crisp closure. The unforgiving gloss black finish is particularly nice including the door jambs and underside of the hood and engine lid. The glass, trim, emblems, and various lenses throughout the car are like new while the factory glass retains the correct brand etching including the windshield which is free from major chips or cracks. Importantly, the factory VIN door threshold plate and engine bay bulkhead numbers match the VIN further supporting the originality of this factory black on black example. The stance and ride height are correctly positioned on a new set of Continental Extreme Contact Sport 205/50 ZR15 front and 225/50 ZR16 rear radial tires, installed in preparation for sale. The interior of the car is fresh and superbly maintained, showing no significant wear or fading on the carpets, seats, or door panels. The leather trimmed seats are in excellent condition showing only light scuff marks on the entry/exit side driver’s seat bolster, but otherwise displaying very nice factory finishes, proper stitching, and gently softened factory materials. The dash is free from significant marks or shrinkage with no cracks or fading and the steering wheel shows only minor signs of use to the matching black padded wheel. The carpet under both floor mats appears essentially new, and the mats themselves show minimal wear. Overall, the interior shows remarkably well, including the headliner, which appears nearly new. The inside doorsills are in excellent condition with no significant marks or scratches along the brightwork which also bears the correct matching VIN stamping. The rear trunk compartment is also in excellent condition as is the front storage compartment and correct factory spare tire. Under the hood the visual condition of the engine and engine compartment support the low miles with very nice finishes, correct factory details, hoses, air box, and factory labels. The factory stock engine operates as expected having recently benefited from a new timing belt and water pump, new accessory belts, and fluids in preparation for sale. The car starts easily and runs very well with fantastic acceleration, smooth 5-speed shifting, great brakes, comfortable operational features including premium stereo and cold AC, and of course - legendary F1 derived handling. Included with This Car This car is accompanied by copies of selected service records spanning 2011-2024 under current and prior ownership, a spare set of later generation wheels and tires, formerly installed performance headers, stock manifolds for an NSX of this generation, stock side-air intake, an NSX car cover and bag, a spare set of new NSX floor mats, an engine compartment protection cover (new in the factory bag), various Honda OEM replacement gas struts still in the factory bag, and other misc. Honda parts. 1993 Honda Acura NSX Fantasy Junction If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The notice and take down procedure is described here: https://www.speedholics.com/copyright General Overview When Honda first launched the NSX, it instantly established tbe newly established Acura brand as a leading builder of performance cars. • 1991 Lamborghini Diablo

For 16 years, Lamborghini produced the car that defined the term “poster car”- the Countach. But as the 1980s came to a close, it was time to update the model and create a poster car for the 1990s. The Diablo was their answer- unveiled to the public in January 1990, the design was clearly an evolution of the wedgy Countach but was refined to usher Lamborghini’s supercar into the 90s and beyond. Powered by a more advanced version of Lamborghini’s famous V12, the engine now displaced 5.7 liters and thanks to a modern computer-controlled fuel injection system, was good for 485 horsepower while also complying with ever-tightening emissions regulations around the world. This engine paired with superior aerodynamics made the Diablo the first production Lamborghini to have a top speed in excess of 200 mph and could run from 0-60 in just 4.5 seconds. This 1991 Diablo is a particularly special example, first ordered by Formula One World Champion, Indianapolis 500, and Daytona 500 winner Mario Andretti. Finished in beautiful Rosso paint, this Diablo was treated to a recent repaint that shows very nicely all the way around the car. As an homage to one of the Countach’s signature design elements, an optional rear wing could be fitted to the Diablo and is on this example. The 17” OZ Racing multi-piece wheels with their 5-hole “phone dial” styling is another nod to the Countach and look stunning with a polished lip, and painted wheel center. Tan leather upholstery covers the interior with contrasting black leather on the steering wheel rim, dash and pillars. The earlier Diablos like this one, feature a large gauge cluster in front of the driver with 7 gauges to keep tabs on all of the car’s various systems- the gauge pod looks intimidating in photos but becomes easy to use once you get behind the wheel. A spartan center stack features electronic climate controls and a modern JVC stereo with Bluetooth capabilities but the original Alpine 7930 cassette player is included with the sale. The early style fixed back bucket seats look spectacular and, although they do not feature the massive side bolsters you see in more modern cars, are supportive and keep you in place during performance driving. Behind the front seats sits the 5.7 liter V12 which is in fine form thanks to a full engine out service by marque experts High Mountain Classics of Fort Collins, CO in 2020. During this procedure, a full head rebuild with new valves, new fuel hoses, and a full cooling system service were carried out with a binder full of receipts to give the full scope of the work done. Power is sent from this engine to a 5-speed manual transmission which received replacement clutch cylinders in 2021. The underside of this Diablo is nearly spotless as well with a full dry ice cleaning carried out prior to its last sale- the process is documented on the I Am Detailing YouTube channel and is exceptionally thorough. These early Diablos are notorious for being some of the most visceral, exciting examples from behind the wheel thanks to a lack of power steering, traction control, and rear-wheel drive layout. There is no doubt that this Diablo will be a thrilling drive and you can be sure that after the recent servicing, you will be able to enjoy all of the 485 horsepower the engine has to offer. The Lamborghini Diablo will go down in history as one of the most legendary supercars of the 1990s and these early examples are the car in its purest form and free from the Volkswagen influence seen in later examples. Additionally, that this car was originally owned by one of America’s most beloved and successful race car drivers gives it the kind of celebrity provenance any car enthusiast can get behind. 1991 Lamborghini Diablo ISSIMI, Inc If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer.
