This beautiful C1 was handed over to its first owner on the 18th of April 1960 by the Miller Chevrolet company in Pittsburgh. Receipts available show that he kept his Vette until the end of the 70s. In the early 80s the roadster was restored for its second owner by the “Corvette Specialists” in Springfield VA. In 1984 the C1 changed hands again to a new owner in Gaithersburg MD where it remained until the year 2000. After three further owners in Maryland, Texas and California, the Corvette was shipped to Hawaii from where it found its way to Switzerland 10 years ago. The sales invoice from 1960 as well as numerous receipts of the previous American owners clearly document the history of this stunning Corvette. In February 2019 the car was finally taken over by the last owner who had the coachwork repainted, the seats re-covered and the carpets replaced. The optional hardtop as well as the white soft top are in good condition. Delivered in “Ermine white” with a red vinyl interior the Corvette still presents itself in its original colour combination. The matching numbers engine is running faultlessly and the three-speed gearbox shifts as it should. The last Veteran MOT was completed in December 2024.
