- 1970-lamborghini-400-gt-espada-series-2
The Lamborghini Espada is a four-seater coupé. It was built by Lamborghini from 1968 to 1978. In the Espada, Lamborghini combined its twelve-cylinder engine with an elongated fastback body, which is considered a milestone in automotive design. Known internally as the Tipo 108, the Espada was the fourth model from the brand founded in 1963, following the 350 GT/400 GT, the Islero and the Miura. As the first fully four-seater Gran Turismo, it was the result of Ferruccio Lamborghini's efforts to offer a wide range of models. The Espada's body was designed by Bertone. The executive designer was Marcello Gandini. As the Espada was launched in the same year as the Islero, the technology of both models is largely identical. During its ten-year production run, the Espada underwent a number of changes. A total of three different series were produced. These were the S1 (1968–1970), the S2 (1970–1972) and the S3 (1972–1978). Each generation was given an improved engine. The second series now delivered 350 hp instead of 325 hp and also received a number of other innovations: the interior, which was still rather futuristic in the S1, was smoothed and simplified, the underbody was lowered slightly to increase headroom, and power steering was also available as an option. In the third series, the beautiful centre-lock wheels were replaced by conventional five-bolt wheels, the interior was redesigned again and, from 1974, a 3-speed automatic transmission from Chrysler could be ordered. The Lamborghini Espada offered here is a second series vehicle with Campagnolo centre-lock wheels and air conditioning. According to the Lamborghini registry, chassis #7927 was delivered to Garage Foitek in Zurich on 10 July 1970. At that time, it was in the colour ‘Verde Pallido Metallizzato’ with an interior in ‘Verde Scuro’ and was first registered on 15 July. After several years in the canton of Graubünden, the coupé moved to the canton of Zurich, where the body was restored in 2002 and repainted in its current red colour. The interior was matched to the exterior colour with black leather and red carpets. Shortly afterwards, the then owner left Switzerland and parked the Lamborghini at a friend's house. After around eight years of standing idle, the family-friendly Italian car was awakened from its slumber in 2011 and carefully put back into service. After a brief change of ownership in 2015, the Espada was taken over by the consignor in September 2017 and integrated into his collection. During the next two years, he had the car technically and visually refurbished in his workshop. The brake system and shock absorbers were overhauled, the air conditioning system was serviced, the entire mechanics were checked and, where necessary, overhauled, and the wheels were repainted and fitted with a set of new tyres. After completion, the Lamborghini spent most of its time in the owner's air-conditioned hall. In the last six years, only around 1’000 km have been covered with the Grand Tourismo – which is also the reason why it is now being sold. The Espada is currently in good to very good condition. The matching-numbers engine runs well and the gearbox shifts crisply. The interior is well maintained and the bodywork is beautiful and healthy, except for a small dent with paint chipping on the rear right. The most recent veteran MOT was completed in September 2025 – so the Lamborghini can be registered and enjoyed immediately. 1970 Lamborghini 400 GT Espada Series 2 Oldtimer Galerie International GmbH If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1991 Ferrari 348 TB
Most fans consider the F40 to be the best Ferrari of all time, among other reasons because it was the last Ferrari that Don Enzo saw while he was alive. But few remember that the 348 was already in development when Il Commendatore was still alive. A year after the death of the founder of the Scuderia, Ferrari's new berlinetta was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the last project, moreover, under the supervision of Leonardo Fioravanti The Ferrari 348 had smoother lines than its predecessors, the 308/328. Its side design was undoubtedly inspired by the Testarossa, but more civilized. Like this one, it had retractable headlights, a huge air intake divided into slats that ran along the entire door, and rear lights hidden behind a discreet black grille, being the only Ferrari berlinetta not to have circular lights. Its 3.4 litre V8 engine (hence its name) delivers power to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual gearbox, with the first gear in reverse. Its 300 hp made the Ferrari 348 one of the fastest models of the early 90s, as it was capable of reaching 280 km/h Our unit, registered for the first time in Spain, is in an enviable state of preservation, as you can see. Everything works perfectly, and its mechanics are in top shape, ready to leave those who doubt its potential speechless. For years, the 348Tb has been considered the ugly duckling of the Maranello brand. And it is true that rivals such as the Honda NSX did not make things easy for it. But do not forget that it is still a Ferrari, through and through. If you have fallen in love, but still have doubts, come to our facilities. They will clear them all up. 1991 Ferrari 348 TB Auto Storica If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1966 Ford GT40 Mk II Roadster
Highlights of this GT40 Roadster Historically accurate roadster constructed by Lee Holman FIA eligible 7-liter with potential acceptance to world class events A superb GT40 proven with video track footage taken at Lime Rock History of the GT40 The 1960s was one of the most impressive decades of sports car performance engineering. Racing and production sports car development shared significant advances benefiting greatly from the overlap between advancing aerospace technology, material sciences, and horsepower wars. Conceived and developed by a Who’s Who of motorsports engineering, the GT40 has become an American performance dreamscape, one that defines this extraordinary convergence of engineering, competition, and courage. The origin of the GT40 is framed by Ford’s advances to Ferrari for a potential company purchase. After spending millions of dollars to investigate the financial health of Ferrari, Ford quickly learned of the challenges dealing with Enzo Ferrari. As negotiations advanced, CEO Henry Ford II was stunned when Ferrari pulled out of negotiations. The infuriated “Hank the Deuce” vowed to beat Ferrari at his own game, setting his sights and formidable resources on racing. After initial development in 1963, the first GT40 Mk I was completed in 1964, but arrived with less than promising results. Later that year, Ford delivered the project to Shelby American who would gradually improve the cars, refine the chassis, and begin establishing the GT40 as a force to be reckoned with. Eventually the more robust and highly capable Mk II would introduce the impressive Ford FE 427 big-block V8 mated to a T44 4-speed. The Mk II would rise to prominence, culminating in the 1, 2, 3 Le Mans photo finish that would captivate the world, becoming the subject of the award winning contemporary major motion picture film “Ford vs Ferrari”. In addition to the Le Mans sweep, the GT40 would bring Ford the 1966 Manufacturers Championship. With significant differences in construction and performance, both the Mk I and Mk II occupy important places in the history of the GT40. However, the Mk II is considered the premier engineering example brought together by Carroll Shelby, Holman & Moody, Ken Miles, and a host of exceptionally talented team members, all of whom contributed to the success and legacy of these cars. The 427 powered Mk II not only allowed for 200+mph speeds at Mulsanne, the power and durability of the engine, 427 power handled by the Ford-developed T44 transaxle, robust monocoque structure, and larger brakes elevated the Mk II to the legendary winning status that built their vaulted worldwide reputation. Holman & Moody History and Build Specifications As the FIA manufacturer of record for GT40 Mk II cars, Holman & Moody remains today the only source for an accurate original build of the Le Mans winning GT40 Mk II. Today a genuine GT40 Mk II captures a rightfully important place in the pantheon of premier collector vehicles. And while a handful of contemporary shops offer kits that replicate approximate dimensions and performance of the original Mk I cars, only one company has the name, history, tooling, precise records, blueprints, and historic fabrication experience to faithfully construct a genuine race-ready continuation of the original GT 40 Mk II – Holman & Moody of Charlotte, NC. Operating today as an ongoing force in motorsports excellence, Lee Holman has continued the legacy of his father and partner developing the most accurate GT40, an FIA approved Mk II of precise specifications. Constructed using the original blueprints for these ground-breaking cars, Holman’s cars use chassis fabricated by Tennent Panels, UK, the official supplier of GT 40 Mk II chassis at the close of the GT40 program. and the original forming bucks to build the chassis for these specialized cars. Uninterested in building a copy or replica, every effort has been made to assemble the most original Mk II possible. When the owner of this car commissioned the build a few years ago, Lee Holman, at 6’ 2”, wanted to improve the fit of his personally configured GT40. With Holman evaluating internal construction plans for a roadster, he suggested the roadster configuration for this build. Originally built as an experiment in lightweight construction, the Mk II roadster that was built in period, has not survived. This car is an exact continuation of that car, enhanced with only safety-related improvements. Construction of this Mk II roadster was performed at Holman over a period of over a year as Lee Holman, Jim Rose and other team members who were personally involved in the original GT40 build team crafted this car. Having retained an original and uniquely formed GT40 roadster windshield when Holman & Moody were building the five original GT40 roadsters, Lee Holman offered to build this first and only GT40 Mk II continuation roadster. As the first Mk II roadster was constructed using alloy panels for some of the structure, these riveted alloy panels quickly weakened under the rigors of Sebring competition. In this build, steel panels were used to form a safer and more durable monocoque structure. In addition to the Tennent Panels construction using original Ford jigs and tooling, the pressed steel monocoque structure was formed to specifications at Holman & Moody by Jimmy Tucker and Jim Rose, both of whom were members of the racing team for Ford at Le Mans. Further improvements were engineered into this roadster design including a full B column and chromoly bar fitted to the side and back edges of the windshield. Two removable side bars were also installed, linking the windshield structure to the rear brace. This closed roll bar construction allows acceptance to racetracks that require full roll bar protection and improves overall structural rigidity under the stresses of racing. Additional features further included relocation of a 1967 spec. dry sump oil tank now installed behind the driver instead of over the driver’s feet. Like many components on this car, the oil system itself is bespoke in detail consisting of a magnesium cast oil pan with gear-driven scavenge pumps inside the crankcase and Mk II B style aluminum rear oil tank. This example was completed in 2020 and is outfitted with a host of exceptional features including a Jimmy Tucker built FE 427 medium riser cast iron block with aluminum heads and intake, single Holley 4-barrel carburetor, and dry sump oiling system, linked to a magnesium case Holman-Moody Kar-Kraft T-44 4-Speed transaxle. In addition to the numerous construction details surrounding this car, the build consists of Halibrand magnesium wheels with knock off hubs, and 2.260” stainless-steel “bundle of snakes” headers. The independent double wishbone front suspension, anti-roll bar, adjustable shocks with coil over springs and double trailing arm rear suspension are identical to the original GT40s Mk II and use cast magnesium uprights at all four corners. Front and rear Girling CR type calipers and 11.56” ventilated disc brakes with Girling master, Aeroquip lines and fittings, are also interchangeable with original GT40 Holman & Moody cars. The fuel delivery system consists of two fuel cells, each with its own fuel pump. The overall development, refinement, and absolute adherence to the original design with further improvement for added safety and durability come together in a stunning presentation worthy of the GT40 legacy, the legends that created it, and the heroes that raced these great cars to victory. General Overview Presenting with test mileage only and beautiful factory original finishes. This GT40 roadster is exceptional at every level. Finished in gleaming red and white livery, reflective of the original Sebring roadster, no longer in existence, the white rocker panel stripes and #1 roundels depict the first roadster as it was when it won the 1966 Sebring race. The superbly crafted body panels feature all the hallmark GT40 Mk II features including NACA ducts, rear scoops, and side intake scoops. The glass, lenses, and exterior body trim are all in excellent cosmetic condition. There are no chips or scratches in the expansive wrap-around windshield, a unique and original unit specially constructed in the 1960s only for the roadster design. Fit and finish for the body panels is excellent throughout with exceptional stance and perfect wheel and tire fit. The Halibrand 8 x 15 rear and 6 x 15 front wheels feature center hub knock offs and Goodyear Blue Streak Sport Car Special tires. The total visual package delivers a menacing presence, finished off by a polished aluminum airfoil, in place for added high speed stability. Stepping up to the driver’s door, the latch is easily accessed as the door swings open. In roadster configuration, the ease of entrance is greatly appreciated as the driver and passenger slip into the cockpit. The removable steering wheel further improves ingress and egress. The seating position has been improved significantly under 6’ 2” Lee Holman’s direction inviting owners of taller stature to enjoy the magic of these cars. The interior displays historically accurate finishes including ventilated seats, displaying the now iconic brass grommet ventilation holes, which are historically accurate. The current seats also are padded to provide a more upright driving position since the original laid-back position is no longer required by a low roof. The.race-specification dashboard, internal build details, exposed rivet construction, offside gear selector, correctly labeled toggle switches, correct instrumentation, and Sparco multi-point seat harnesses all convey the power and performance of this rare roadster. Lifting the hinged clamshell rear deck, the ground-breaking 427 V8 engine is a feast for the eyes. Though it’s difficult to decide where to look first, the warmly hued stainless-steel bundle-of-snakes exhaust commands your attention, exiting just under the aluminum heads, rising to gather over the T-44 magnesium case gearbox. The massive rear tires, exposed coil-over suspension, flanking twin pumps and Holman & Moody 427 branded valve covers deliver a satisfying narrative celebrating the historic excellence of these great cars. The removable front cover reveals a clean and tidy forward bulkhead containing a FireSense fire bottle feeding the fire suppression system plumbed throughout the car. The entire front section can also be removed which reveals twin electric cooling fans. Fluidyne High Performance radiator, and internal air ducting. The sophisticated engineering and artful construction are evident in every weld line, rivet, and carefully placed lightening hole – true to the original in every respect. The undercarriage displays evidence of the original construction methods employed to create the sophisticated welded steel monocoque. Suspension and various exposed components are further in excellent condition including the cast magnesium oil pan, magnesium cast gearbox, sophisticated suspension uprights, half shafts, coil-over shock absorbers, and Girling disc brakes. The car starts easily, setting off a raucous V8 sound that goes straight to the soul of any motorsport’s enthusiast. Once warmed, the settled idle lopes in waiting, eager for higher revs and track action. Seating position is excellent with great forward visibility and command over the mid-engine layout. As use is primarily focused on racing venues, power comes on immediately as an unforgettable rush of 427 power vaults you forward. It’s hard to imagine how even masterful drivers might have commanded such power at full tilt, subjected to hours of racing, but this is one of many reasons why nearly all these great drivers are known as heroes of this era. This rare and amazing Holman constructed GT40 Mk II roadster is offered with a car cover and bag, removable roof side roll bar connectors, and a plaque for display by the current owner when presented at The Quail, Monterey, CA. One of the most sought-after collectible premium supercars in the history of modern competition motorsports, this GT40 Mk II roadster offers enthusiasts a unique opportunity to experience every aspect of the original construction without the costs, frailties, and concerns associated with museum artifacts. With original GT40 examples now multi-million-dollar icons, this rare example is ready to deliver exceptional performance and provenance. Hand fabricated by members of the original GT40 Mk II build team, with single commissioned ownership, this is a rare opportunity to own a very special vehicle, one that continues the legendary legacy of the incomparable GT40 and the courageous engineers and builders that made history with these exceptional cars. 1966 Ford GT40 Mk II Roadster Fantasy Junction If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1992-ford-escort-rs-cosworth
Stuart Turner, Head of Ford Motorsport Europe, together with Walter Hayes, were instrumental in the success of the Sierra Cosworth throughout the late 1980s. By 1990 however, the rally landscape was changing, with lighter, more compact cars emerging from Japanese manufacturers. Recognising this shift, Turner pushed for a new direction, persuading Ford’s decision makers to approve the Escort RS Cosworth programme despite initial resistance, not least as the standard Escort platform was front-wheel drive and production would need to be outsourced to Karmann in Germany. Two key factors ultimately secured approval: the need for a true ‘halo’ model within the Escort range, and the opportunity to utilise the proven four-wheel drive system from the Sierra Cosworth. Turner famously described the concept as a 'pizza' car, Sierra underpinnings with an Escort body. Early competition success quickly validated the idea, and Ford’s marketing machine ensured the RS Cosworth became one of the defining performance cars of the era. The Ford Escort RS Cosworth offered here was manufactured in October 1992, supplied new by John Grose Ford of Ipswich and first registered in November of the same year. As such, it is one of the original 2,500 homologation examples from the first year of production and is finished in Diamond White with a grey Polaris cloth interior, electric windows, sunroof and headlamp washers. It is understood that the first owner used the car sparingly, keeping it dry stored and maintained, largely by the supplying dealer. Our vendor acquired the RS in 2016 showing just 2,495 miles, at which point it had been recommissioned following a period of minimal use and remained a single-owner car. Since then, it has formed part of a carefully curated collection, stored in a purpose-built, temperature-controlled facility. Today the RS can only be described as beautifully preserved. The odometer currently indicates just 2,956 miles and the car is accompanied by a comprehensive history file including numerous invoices for maintenance, a collection of previous MOT Certificates supporting the low mileage and its current V5C registration document. Fresh to market for the first time in a decade, this represents a rare opportunity to acquire a first-year Escort RS Cosworth, a model that played a key role in Ford’s success during a golden era of rallying, with just two owners and less than 3,000 miles. 1992 Ford Escort RS Cosworth Iconic Auctioneers Ltd If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1996 MASERATI GHIBLI GT II 2.0
This is the second model of the Ghibli trilogy that was built from 1992 to 1998. Based on the Biturbo’s predecessor, Maserati decided to relaunch the Ghibli at the Turin Motor Show. This time, Marcello Gandini had the pleasure of designing the car and came with a brutal, even wild, look for a sportscar offering a balanced combination of comfort and sportiness. In response to the demand, the Ghibli II was equipped with a V6 engine that was considerably smaller in capacity with 2.0 litres but did not disappoint. The 302 horses made the car accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometres an hour (0-60 mph) in less than six seconds. The Ghibli II is rare to find on the market. Approximately 2,500 examples of them were built in total. GTs appeared in 1995 after the acquisition of Maserati by the Fiat group. Their rear frame has been replaced by the one used on other cars of the group (such as that of the Ferrari 456 for example) which makes them much more reliable than the first Biturbos. And quite interesting to note is that only 166 Ghibli GT were made in the 2.0L version. The one we present here for sale is painted in a very elegant color : Blue Sera. The high-class beige interior combines beautifully crafted leather, Alcantara and precious woods. This is the last Maserati model produced with a hand-made interior trim. It has been well enjoyed by its previous owners with 138.000 km on the counter. The vehicle was produced for the Italian market in 1996 and stayed in the hands of the first owner for 6 years. In 2005, it was imported to the Netherlands and cherished for another 8 years. A French gentleman bought the Ghibli in 2013 and sold it back to the current owner in 2015. The car has been registered in Belgium since then and drives occasionally for pleasure. Globally, the vehicle is in good condition. The paint shows a nice shine with no traces of rust. Has never been accidented. Regularly maintained by Maserati official dealers or specialists (all invoices available). Interested ? Do not hesitate to visit us. Automobili Amos’ reimagining of the Delta was born from a childhood passion for the marque. The Futurista is a comprehensive reworking of the Delta recipe with extensive changes evident across both visual and mechanical sides. Born from an original Delta donor vehicle, just 20 Futurista were built. Free from manufacturer restrictions, the Futurista notably debuts a two-door body style utilising both aluminium and carbon fibre to shave 90kg of weight seeing the whole car tip the scales at just 1,250kg. Abbreviated front box arches with additional vents, a rebalanced profile to better flow with the two-door shape and both a revised front end and updated body kit all round help to afford the Futurista striking road presence. The revisions see liberal use of carbon fibre; the all-in-one bonnet and front wing section, front and rear bumpers, boot lid and spoiler. The wheels have been updated too, heavily inspired by Group B rally, with 18inch EvoCorse Turbofans. Mechanical work further bring the car up to date. The 2.0-litre four cylinder retains the standard block, with the internals overhauled and a larger turbocharger fitted. A long with a new exhaust, the engine sees a new intake, intercooler and revised water-cooling system too. The introduction of MOTEC engine management enables switchable power levels at the drivers fingertips from 250bhp to 300bhp; by comparison the final Integrale Evoluzione II models made a humble 212bhp. This example was commissioned in Viola SE30, a colour borrowed from Lamborghini’s Diablo SE30 special edition and features Basalt Alcantara seats with an Anthracite Alcantara dashboard. Offered from the collection of the commissioning owner, this example is fitted with complete paint protection film and has covered just 500 km from new. UK Registered, this Delta Futurista benefits from complete paint protection film, will receive an annual service as a part of the sale and is available to view at our showrooms outside London immediately. 1991 Lancia Delta Integrale Futurista D.K. - 1965 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C
There is simply no other American icon of performance that rises above the 427 Shelby Cobra. Since its release, the Cobra mystique has captivated enthusiasts with ground-pounding performance, breathtaking design, and of course, Shelby bravado. Critical to their ongoing success years after release, several modern iterations and replicas have been developed for a wide range of enthusiasts. But through all the years, changes, and history, aluminum bodied Shelby-built Cobras still reign as the ultimate example of one of the greatest American sports/competition cars ever constructed. In 1961 when Carroll Shelby and AC motors launched the Cobra, it became an immediate success. Everybody loved Shelby’s unique blend of spicy Texas-chili charm and Hollywood charisma. Like Shelby himself, the unapologetic, brash 289 Cobra delivered 0-60 times in an astonishing 4.9 seconds, beating out all competitors with a powerplant that offered the rare combination of performance and durability. Cobras racked up hundreds of race victories making legends of Ken Miles, Pete Brock, and Phil Remington as much as Shelby himself. Then came the 427. Not merely a 289 with a larger motor, the new 427 Cobra featured a handmade steel frame, hand formed aluminum body, and muscular fenders to allow for impossibly wide tires. The stance, power, and brutish delivery were jaw-dropping in both visual and performance categories. No car dared to approach the Cobra. And just as quickly as the legend came to be, production ceased, leaving Shelby American with several leftover frames and components. As Shelby would do in the decades to come, he quickly pivoted to new ventures, while remaining frames stood dormant at Shelby American. In the 1980s as more and more Cobras were beginning to enter the market, prices for original Cobras began to rise. By the 1990s Shelby himself, exhausted from litigating against others who were building cars using his names and likenesses, decided to return to making his own distinct and legendary cars, just as he had in the 1960s. The first of these Shelby American CSX 4000 series cars is believed to have been constructed in the early 1990s with production moving slowly by individual purchases to exclusive clientele. Built in Las Vegas, Nevada at Shelby manufacturing headquarters, these cars were available with either fiberglass or aluminum bodies, the latter of which were priced significantly higher and took longer to complete. CSX4187 is a genuine aluminum-bodied Shelby American 427 Cobra. In addition to being a rare factory built 4000 series 427 Cobra, this car was built using a rare all-aluminum 427 side oiler engine. The car was built with the following options: 427 wide hip aluminum body 427 cu. in. aluminum block V8 Side Oiler Dual Holley 4 bbl carburetors Tremec 5-speed transmission Correct tubular suspension arms Outside filler fuel cap Chrome roll bar Wood steering wheel Removable soft top with side curtains 15” Trigo knock off wheels Factory chrome side pipes Rack and Pinion steering Disc brakes Rear axle ratio 3.77 Constructed with better cooling, more insulation, and improved materials, the CSX 4000 series cars were delivered with Shelby American MSOs signed by Shelby himself. This car was finished in Whittington Green with black leather interior and delivered to All Pro Cars in Muncy, PA on November 8, 2001. In addition to being listed in the Shelby World Registry, this car enjoyed singular ownership until 2014 when the current owner purchased the car at the 2014 Dallas Leake Auction. In March 2022 Bob Smith Coachworks, Gainesville, TX installed a new Fuel Safe Systems replacement bladder for the fuel cell, installed two QBT RED 6V batteries, and tested the car for proper operation. In August 2022, this Cobra was serviced by marque experts at Cobra Performance Inc., Martinez, Ca. The lower metal and upper radiator hoses were replaced, both master cylinders replaced, valve cover gaskets replaced, and the carburetors were both serviced with new carburetor kits. The brake system was bled, new coolant installed, and the car was tested for operation. A new set of tires were balanced and installed. Today the distinctive wide fender arches and muscular stance of the legendary 427 create a menacing appearance perfectly matched to this beautifully finished Cobra. Outfitted with a chrome roll bar, chrome bumper ends, chrome plated side pipes, and true knock-off wheels, the visual impact is impressive. The green paint is very well done throughout accentuating the lurid curves and undulations of the epic 427 aluminum bodywork. The exterior trim, riveted hood scoop, and polished aluminum fuel filler cap all contribute to the powerful presence of this car. The lights, lenses, and emblems are in excellent condition while the knock off wheels display a fine polished alloy finish with painted casting centers and raw cast knockoffs with safety wires, similarly matching the original Halibrand designs. The stance is perfect, filling the flared fenders with ample rubber, though the tires currently mounted are out of date. The stance and presence of this 427 evokes a competition feel beguiling the street trim these cars offered. Correct touches include a racing style side view mirror, aluminum finish side vents, and raised cowl and deck fittings to facilitate the black tonneau cover attachment. A single pane windscreen leans back on the cowl, flanked by Cobra branded twin plexiglass side screens and tinted sun visors. The interior has been faithfully depicted with leather seating surfaces correctly contoured with proper pleat lines, black carpeting, and black door panels. The driver’s seat is now gently relaxed with a hint of use, consistent with the 3,200 indicated miles. The dashboard and instruments are properly arrayed with correct original type dial faces displaying beautiful numeric details and chrome trim. A chrome plated fire extinguisher is mounted in place ahead of the 5-speed shifter. The chrome roll bar is outfitted with a Simpson seat belt anchored to the roll bar. A pair of recently replaced 6V batteries are located behind the seats. The brake and clutch foot pedals are CS branded delivering a nice detail to the key control elements in charge of regulating the massive power of this potent beast. A wood-rimmed Shelby steering wheel exhibits a handsome warm tone proudly displaying the red, white, and blue Shelby center emblem. Under the hood, the all-aluminum 427 side-oiler engine is purposefully topped with twin Holley 4bbl carburetors and twin chrome air cleaners. Correctly finished details throughout include cast aluminum and black CS Shelby valve covers, painted surge tank, and raw aluminum inner fender panels. A contemporary aluminum Fluidyne radiator, electric fan, upgraded lines and fittings, and silicone resistor core spark plug wires are welcome modern enhancements to the driving experience. The engine compartment and powerful engine display correct finishes with appropriately deserving attention to detail including a Shelby American manufacturers plate and stamped frame member, both of which bear the CSX 4187 number. The trunk is correctly finished with exposed aluminum panels and painted black frame construction members, twin fuel pumps, and roll bar support braces. The underside of the car is exemplary in finish and detail with beautifully prepared and preserved components consistent with the reported ownership, Shelby American construction methods, and indicated mileage. This Cobra is accompanied by two tonneau covers, a soft convertible top (material only, no armature or top bows), side curtains, a knockoff hammer, a pair of cloth gloves, tire inflator canister, a car cover and bag, and a zippered tool case. This Shelby American CSX 4000 series 427 Cobra represents a rare opportunity to purchase a uniquely constructed roadster with known history and documented ownership since construction, Shelby history, and superb cosmetics. Legendary design coupled with Shelby construction, CSX 4187 is a captivating part of Shelby motorsports history, delivered as a ready-to-drive roadster, eagerly awaiting to reward the driving ambitions of the next fortunate owner. 1965 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C Fantasy Junction If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1995-ferrari-f50-3
Following in the footsteps of the fabled F40, Ferrari’s F50 was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 1995. Hugely influenced by Formula 1 design and technology at the time, at the F50 heart was a naturally aspirated V-12 engine derived from Ferrari’s 642 F1 car, campaigned during the 1991 Formula 1 World Championship. With 512 bhp on tap, its Formula 1 origins and 8,000 rpm redline made the engine truly sonorous when driven as its manufacturers intended. Top speed was claimed as being 202 mph and from a standstill, the F50 would sprint to 60 mph from a standstill in 3.8 seconds. As if its performance wasn’t enough, what truly set the F50 apart from its competitors at the time was its open-top body style, allowing buyers to choose from the closed comfort of a Berlinetta or the thrill of an open-top sports car, and no open-top sports car on sale at the time could match the sheer performance of the F50. Top-down, the driving experience that the F50 provided its lucky driver and passenger was a close as one could get to driving a road-legal Formula 1 car. Only 349 examples would be built, far fewer than the F40 that preceded it. The factory build of this example began on 13th October 1995, with its factory completion and date of delivery to supplying dealer noted as 28th November. The first owner of this example was a noted Ferrari collector and classic motorsports competitor, his F50 would stand apart from the others. This example is the 1st of just 4 cars to leave the factory in Grigio Argento Fer 101/C, this one uniquely optioned with seats inserts and luggage in Giallo. The colour itself, transitioned to Argento Nürburgring after the F50 production run was completed but all four silver F50s were built in and would be Classiche certified as Grigio Argento. From the official production run of cars, the colour breakdown is as follows: 302 Rosso Corsa 31 Giallo Modena 8 Rosso Barchetta 4 Nero DS 1250 4 Grigio Argento Of the 4 in Grigio Argento, all find themselves within significant collections. All are ‘Euro’ specification cars and none of the original silver cars have ever been in the USA before now. 1st Supplied new to Austria 2nd Supplied new to Japan 3rd Supplied new to UK 4th Supplied new to Holland Supplied new by Austrian dealership Wolfgang Denzel AG of Vienna, this example found custodianship with its first keeper, Mr Jean-Robert Grellet of Lustenau, Austria although the car would be registered on a German registration mark ‘DO-F50’ or Dornbirn. Grellet used the car regularly and as a keen and active member of the Ferrari club scene, he attended a number of events with the car. Throughout 1996 the car was seen often; the Radstadt club meeting, to the Girard-Perregaux F50 watch presentation in Switzerland. During the Ferrari Factory Finals at Mugello, Grellet’s F50 was the victim of practical joke gone wrong – he reported the car as stolen but some friends had ‘hidden’ the car in a nearby field and the car was relocated shortly after. His use of the car would not diminish, with the F50 being used to attend the 1996 Monegasque Ferrari club meeting and the Factory 50th Anniversary celebrations in June of 1997. The car was placed for sale in the Brooks Gstaad auction in December of 1998 having covered 22,500 km. The car was unsold on the night, with a deal taking place shortly after. The car was purchased by a prominent collector and imported into the UK in 1999 earning its UK registration mark at this time. The car visited H.R. Owen Ferrari for three services including the replacement of its dash binnacle. During a holiday to Lake Como in 2001, the F50 was pinched from a public parking garage. Two years later, the car would be registered in Japan for the first time. Protected by Japanese Civil Code that protects purchases of movable objects such as cars or jewellery, so long as they were made in good faith, the F50 would remain in Japan. Such is the strength of this code, that despite it being taken from its British owner, the insurance company could not lay claim to the car at the time. The British owner was paid out in full. Tracing the car through Japan, the F50 was first registered in Tokyo on 6th February 2003. It would stay within the care of its first owner for 8 years, during which time it would see near annual maintenance from the local garage. The car would pass through three more owners in Japan with servicing continuing with the same garage until 2014. Mileage during its time in Japan was well documented and the car saw regular servicing. In 2024, DK Engineering carried out extensive due diligence to understand the current standing of the F50. DK Engineering engaged and negotiated with all of the key stakeholders; the former owner in the UK, the former insurer and finally with Ferrari managing to negotiate and document their now lack of lien or claim. With this Ferrari agreed to remove their internal Rub marker and the car is now considered in free circulation, HPI clear, accompanied by individual confirmation letters. In August 2024 the car arrived at DK Engineering in the UK, where work would begin immediately to undertake a total restoration of the car. Having already completed two F50 restorations to Cavallino Platinum standard, the car was in the right place to be returned to its original glory. Going above and beyond a traditional service or ‘glow-up’, this example was taken back to a bare tub, with the carbon fibre re-lacquered on all visible surfaces, from the intake plenum to the cabin floors. The engine was fully separated from the tub to be totally rebuilt in house along with the gearbox. With the engine and bodywork removed, we were granted unrestricted access to the bulkhead and cabin spaces as well as the front section. The panels were refinished and restored to their original Grigio Argento hue. Mechanical works extended to a thorough overhaul of all componentry, refinishing the suspension, recoating the original exhaust and ensuring the car presents as expected. Works totalled just shy of £500,000 ($665,000) and the results should be seen in person to be truly appreciated. Documented photographically including body numbers, we are confident the car has not been damaged. Offered today is a remarkable example of Ferrari’s F50. The 1st of just 4 examples in Grigio Argento and unique with Giallo inserts. 1995 Ferrari F50 D.K. Engineering Ltd If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer.
