Rare and chic Ford Comète by Facel. Straight from 19 years of single ownership Une voiture de Tin Tin. Who did not read the famous books back in the days. Ford France wanted a more sporting car than the standard Vedette. The car was only produced for 3 years. Body design by Stabilmenti Farina, produced by Facel. 1953 was the most powerful year of the flathead V8 engine from the Vedette by Ford. Sold new in France and owned since 2007 by the current enthusiast. Black with brown leather interior, Robergel wire wheels. Uprated 5 speed gearbox for smooth cruising. Driving this car is a delight. Touch the start button and the engine purs immediately. The steering is light and has plenty of understeer but we are driving an elegant and chic comfortable Tourismo not a Sports car. A rare and pretty car which will definitely standout at any event and at an affordable price level.
