  • E9 BMW CSL by Tim Scott

*GASP* Color! "The inaugural Sonoma Speed Festival was the first event that I have photographed where I am more drawn to my color images than my black and white. Why? The cars from these eras (50’s to current) tell such a story with their livery and actually serve to tie them in to the era from which they began their stories. Take, for example, this BMW. In black and white it would still look pretty amazing but with color it just screams so much louder in its visual language–just as the designer intended. Am I going to switch to color film full time? Absolutely not, but when I have a chance to photograph the Sonoma Speed Festival again and other cars like this I will definitely be shooting more color! Sonoma Speed Festival, 2019. Sonoma Raceway, California. Pentax 67 and Kodak Ektar 100." Courtesy of ScottPhoto.Co - Photography by Tim Scott

  • Alfa 33 Daytona by Romeo Gross

A phoenix from the ashes: It’s hard to believe that a glorious Alfa 33 Daytona could be found in such a state of disrepair. Fortunately, it received a full restoration and came back as good as new. Romeo Gross, known in Italian as “Il fotografo delle emozioni”-- “The photographer of emotions” -- was there to witness and capture the restoration. Photographer: Romeo Gross http://33daytona.com/

  • Lancia Delta Integrale EVO II

Some cars are just born classic. This Lancia Delta Integrale EVO II, in Bleu Lord, has an understated, refined air about it. In many ways it’s a pity that she only has 104 miles on the clock. Delivered brand new to Japan and stored in the original owner’s home until recently. When it sold, it came complete with plastic coverings on the floor, seats, and door cards. Quite literally like new. Courtesy Canepa www.canepa.com

  • Maserati MC12 Versione Corsas

One of only 12 MC12 Versione Corsas built — the most powerful Maserati. Designed for track use the MC12 Corsa was a direct development of the MC12 GT1. The race-derived 6.0-litre, naturally aspirated, V12 engine produced an incredible 745 bhp at 8,000 rpm — over 110 bhp more than the MC12 Stradale and 150 bhp more than the MC12 GT1 race car. Awesome. Courtesy of Girardo & Co www.girardo.com/

  • Jaguar E-Type by Raphaël Belly

Another weekend of dreaming. Another Jaguar E-Type. Is there any other automobile that blends elegance and sportiness quite like it? And where better to capture it on camera than the principality of Monte Carlo? Photographer: Raphaël Belly https://www.flickr.com/…/72157709170076527/with/48096247251/
