The very first generation of the Porsche 911, affectionately known in Germany as “das Urmodell der Neunelfer.” This particular example hails from the earliest years of 911 production and is therefore a genuine Short Wheelbase car—one of the purest expressions of the model. The bodywork was crafted by Karmann, a name synonymous with exceptional German craftsmanship. Together with its accompanying Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, this underlines the highly collectible nature of this motor car. Our example is nothing short of exquisite. Between 2016 and 2018, it underwent an extensive, no-expense-spared, body-off restoration. The coachwork was refinished in its original colour, while the mechanical components were meticulously rebuilt and enhanced by APP Racing Engines. Beneath the rear lid lies the beating heart: the original 2.0-litre air-cooled flat-six, comprehensively rebuilt with lighter pistons and an ‘S’ camshaft, now producing approximately 190 horsepower. Power is delivered through a fully rebuilt, numbers-matching five-speed manual gearbox with the classic H-pattern. First registered in June 1966 and delivered new to California, USA, this 911 was imported into the Netherlands in 1991, where it has since been cherished by devoted custodians. The exterior is presented in elegant Silver Metallic, beautifully complemented by a refined black leatherette interior, enhanced with tasteful wooden trim. The car sits on 15-inch Fuchs wheels in silver with black centres, paired with gold brake calipers and Avon tyres, completing its unmistakable stance. Inside, one finds VDO instrumentation, a characteristic four-spoke steering wheel, and a period-correct Blaupunkt AM/FM stereo system—details that perfectly capture the spirit of the era. During its restoration, the original engine was not only rebuilt but thoughtfully upgraded, the numbers-matching gearbox reconditioned and refitted, and the brakes, suspension, wiring, and interior all comprehensively renewed to the highest standard. No expense was spared—and it shows in the way the car drives: immediate, precise, and eager. A machine that delivers exactly what you expect, and more—equally at home on a spirited drive as it is effortlessly covering long distances with confidence. The restoration and history are extensively documented, accompanied by a detailed photographic record. 1966 Porsche 911 SWB Cool Classic Club If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1967 Aston Martin DB6 Vantage
Completed at the Newport Pagnell factory on 7 December 1967, this Aston Martin DB6 has been impeccably cared for throughout its life and comes with three extensive files that amount to virtually a full service history from new. Chassis number DB6/3316/R was registered PMX 410F on 21 December and delivered to its first owner – Captain AE Hare – on 3 January 1968. It was finished in Pacific Blue with Natural interior and featured the 325bhp Vantage engine, plus a heated rear screen, 3.73:1 limited-slip differential and power aerial. Including Purchase Tax, it cost its proud new custodian £3587 15s 10d. Throughout Captain Hare’s ownership, the DB6 was cared for by the factory and the detailed service records are included with the car’s paperwork. He clearly made the most of his Aston Martin – by the time it was serviced on 3 November 1971, it had covered 38,231 miles. Captain Hare owned the car until the mid-1970s, when it passed to Dr CH Cripps. He had it serviced and looked after by leading specialists such as Richard Stewart Williams. In 1983, Dr Cripps had repairs carried out to the sills and the windscreen replaced, and the following year the DB6 was acquired by a new owner – a Mr G Munthe. The Aston Martin was fully restored over a period of several years during the late 1980s and early 1990s, including an engine rebuild in 1993. Its detailed service records continue for the rest of that decade and into the 21st century, and the DB6 has twice been sold by Aston Martin Works in the past 10 years. It also received a major service there in 2019. Now beautifully presented in Dubonnet with matching Tudor Webasto sunroof and a Fawn interior, this Aston Martin DB6 retains its matching-numbers status and is being offered for sale by the Classic Motor Hub. It comes with its original instruction book as well as its book of service vouchers, MoT test certificates from 1980 onwards, and a detailed record of servicing and maintenance dating back to when it was new. Inertia-reel seatbelts have been added in the rear, and there are discreet supplementary speakers alongside the standard unit in the rear parcel shelf. 1967 Aston Martin DB6 Vantage The Classic Motor Hub If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1976 Lancia Stratos HF Stradale
The Lancia Stratos HF (HF stands for "high fidelity") came to be built as nothing less than a series-built competition car, launched as Lancia's entry in the FIA world rally championship in 1972 and virtually unbeatable until 1975 when it was retired to give the lowly Fiat 131 a chance at competition glory. The Stratos was street-legal merely to satisfy the FIA rulebook. For the Miura and Countach, Gandini was charged with only the styling; for the Stratos, Bertone gave him the whole ball of wax from mechanical layout to the final form. What Gandini gave Lancia was a midengine layout built around a central monocoque with bolt-on space frames front and rear, fully adjustable suspension, four-wheel disc brakes and a transversely mounted DOHC Ferrari Dino V6 with a five-speed transaxle. Most important, Gandini also delivered a simple, flip-up fiberglass body with a brutally stunning shape that makes any other rally car look decidedly average. Chris Hrabalek, a London-based automotive designer who owns the prototype, states," In 1971, the idea of the midengine road car was still exotic. The 1968 Ferrari 246 GT Dino had only recently made such a thing practical on the street and Chevrolet was busily exploring the midengine concept for the Corvette. But Gandini single-handedly yanked the whole midengine idea into reality with the Stratos, an angry rejection of the glossy GTs of the 1960s”. Even now, no other midengine car looks so modern as the Lancia Stratos. Its shape still has appeal, as Hrabalek proved when he drew rave reviews with his Fenomenon NewStratos, a concept car for an evolutionary interpretation of the Stratos idea that was unveiled at the 2005 Geneva Auto Show. Factory figures quote the Stradale's 2.4-liter V6 to produce 190 horsepower at 7,400 rpm (the rally cars made 240 hp or so) and makes 169 pound-feet of torque at 4,000 rpm, so the car is good for 0 to 60 mph in the sub-7s. This rare Lancia Stratos is one of those exceptional finds one only rarely comes across and is one of 492 Stratos HF Stradales to have left the marque’s Chivasso plant. The majority of the examples to have been produced were either modified for rally use or beat up and restored, however, this time-warp example goes against the grain having been kept original and unmolested throughout its life, a real “reference car”. Upon inspection the car is found to retain its original engine, gearbox, body, brakes, suspension, exterior paint, exhaust, wheels, and exterior stickers. This car has never been standing for a long time, it’s just been used very little but on a regular basis by all its previous owners. Inside the car, the seats are finished in a stunning tan suede leather upholstery and the carpets present in excellent condition throughout the inside. On the outside, the car has been found to be finished in its original paint, with only the passenger side lip on the rocker panel has been touched up once a very, very long time ago. Of course, there is plenty of patina and stone chips as one would find on a 40-year-old car. Again, thanks to its originality, the documentation of the car is unlike seen on most Stratos’. Accompanied by the original service book, owner’s manual and even the rare roadside assistance brochure. The car is currently fitted with a set of replacement wheels, though the originals accompany car. There are indeed some Stradale Stratos’ known in the world with fewer kilometres on the speedo but most of them have been restored or have even had to be fully rebuilt. Having been held by a total of just five owners in its near 50-year life, this car was bought into the UK and subsequently registered in early 2015 when DK Engineering sourced the car for its current owner and have stored since on their behalf. Since arrival in the UK, the car has been meticulously maintained and serviced frequently with no expense spared. Most notably, in 2018, almost £15,000 was spent on the car ensuring the car was running and maintained as correctly as possible. 1976 Lancia Stratos HF Stradale D.K. 'Austin sounds a little bit like Aston Martin, which is the type of car James Bond would drive' - Mike Myers The origins of the Aston Martin V8 series date back to 1969, when Aston Martin introduced the V8 as the successor to the DBS. It featured a powerful 5.3-liter V8 engine that produced 320 horsepower. Aston-Martin-V8- Fast forward to 1999 with the Aston Martin V8 Coupe being its successor. The 1999 Aston Martin V8 Coupe built on the heritage of its predecessors and shouted "Step aside, boys, the king has arrived!" The interior of the V8 was not simply luxurious; it was handcrafted. The leather upholstery enveloped the seats like a warm embrace, while the wooden dashboard created an ambiance that even James Bond would secretly envy. Our own 1999 Aston Martin V8 is cloaked like a work of art in Grampian Green. A green/white leather interior and a wooden dashboard reminiscent of a craftsman who spent months in the back shed perfecting the smallest details. This 911 was delivered to the first owner finished in Slate Gray with black interior and outfitted with L series vented rear disc brakes. One of just 464 examples delivered new with the Sportomatic automatic transmission, the car remained with the first owner, a resident of Newport Beach, who purchased the car from Bill Yates Porsche, San Juan Capistrano, CA. The first owner enjoyed the car for thirteen years before passing away. His widow kept the car virtually untouched in their Newport Beach garage until selling it to the second owner in 1996, a private collector and resident of Costa Mesa, CA. The current and third owner, a resident of Los Gatos, CA purchased this car in 2016 spending the next decade restoring the car to a very high level, putting only 1,000 miles on the car since his purchase. Under current ownership, this Porsche 911 was thoughtfully restored with attention given equally to both mechanical operation and cosmetic presentation. The body was stripped and all glass removed to reveal a well-preserved chassis which benefited from the mild California climate. The body work was performed by Robert Fessler (former owner of Caliber Collision, Sunnyvale, CA) which included replacing the front suspension pan and replacing both outer rocker panels, and even though the trailing edges of the front fenders had only minor rust at the bottom, they were replaced using correct steel fenders. The hood, engine lid, and bumpers were also replaced to ensure there was no rust or filler, all of which were replaced using correct steel parts. The left door was also replaced with a 1967 door as the original had minor rust bubbles at the forward bottom edge. With the body work and prep completed, correct Porsche Slate Gray Glasurit paint was applied by Alex Rangle of Custom Paint Finish, Santa Clara, CA. As most of the parts on the car were in such excellent original condition, restoration was limited to careful cleaning and refinishing with OEM parts used when needed. All soft parts including rubber, weatherstripping, and rubber gasket materials were supplied by top tier vintage Porsche specialists including OEM seat covers front and rear, new headliner, carpet, and correct replacements for the top and bottom dashboard materials. For the remaining details of the interior, the package tray was recovered, new door seals installed, and the gauges were cleaned, rebuilt, and tested including rebuilding the clock with a quartz movement. Having benefited from a comprehensive engine rebuild performed by Chick Iverson approximately 60k miles ago, the engine was in excellent operating condition and thus only needed resealing, new chain ramps and hydraulic tensioners, and rebuilding for the original Weber carburetors, performed by Pierce Manifolds. For shifting duties, the engine was mated to a 1966 Porsche 5-speed manual transmission (rebuilt 25k miles ago) which was installed along with a new flywheel and clutch (Sportomatic spare transmission included with the car). Additional work performed on the car included the installation of 1967 911S Koni suspension with adjustable dampening front and rear, comprehensively rebuilt by Performance Shock and Elephant Racing, powder coated adjustable trailing arms and spring plates, rebuilt rear hubs (all performed by Elephant Racing), and factory front sway bar. A set of correct date coded 15 x 5.5 Fuchs wheels were installed and aligned by Custom Alignment, and the L series disc brakes were rebuilt by PMB. The current owner has enjoyed this car for the past decade retaining California title on the original black and yellow license plates. 1968 Porsche 911 Fantasy Junction If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1965-shelby-289-cobra
By 1961, Carroll Shelby had established his reputation as a racing driver and, ready to kick it up a notch, he set out to build his own racecar. Impressed by the combined agility and power of borrowed Cad-Allards, he resolved to create the ultimate Anglo-American hybrid. AC Cars of Thames Ditton, England provided a nimble tubular frame and aluminum body in their Ace, highly reputed for its dexterity on the European circuit. Desirous of the visceral power of the Dearborn, Michigan-manufactured V-8, Shelby persuaded Ford to furnish their short-stroke 260-cubic-inch engine to complete the perfect union. The lightweight Ace frame had to be modified to accept the muscular V-8 engine, but such was Shelby’s power of persuasion that both entities agreed to allow the new prototype to be named after the race driver. In 1962, a brilliant yellow Shelby Cobra was unveiled at the New York International Auto Show. Sporting a four-speed manual gearbox, the prototype, chassis CSX 2000, weighed in at just 2,100 pounds and was campaigned across the United States. Shelby American Inc. could barely meet demand for the brawny little racecar. By 1963 it upped the ante, switching to a rack-and-pinion steering system—but most notably, it adopted the 289-cubic-inch Ford motor with 271 horsepower and a top speed of 130 mph. The Shelby 289 Cobra could accelerate from 0–60 mph in just 5.8 seconds. The superb power-to-weight ratio enabled the newcomer to take 7th place in the 1963 24 Hours of Le Mans, and Dan Gurney went on to be the first US driver to win an FIA race in an American car at the Bridgehampton 500 KM in September of the same year. The following year at Le Mans, the Shelby Cobra won 4th place overall and 1st in the GT class. CROSS-COUNTRY IN CSX 2496 This Shelby 289 Cobra, CSX 2496, was billed to Shelby American on 3 July 1964. Seven days later it was shipped from London to Los Angeles aboard the SS Loch Avon, arriving on 7 August. The Cobra was completed at Shelby American, finished in white over a black interior. On 16 February 1965, CSX 2496 was invoiced to Norwood Auto Sales in Norwood, Ohio at a cost of $5,195. The car was specified with Group A accessories and further outfitted with an outside rearview mirror, radio, chrome luggage rack, WSW tires, and antifreeze, adding $333.75 to the dealer invoice. Surprisingly absent from the dealer invoice was the normal freight charge… James A. Fraser had placed his Cobra order at Economy Ford, a customer of his father’s company, in greater Cincinnati in December of 1964. Fraser, then just a sophomore in college at the University of Pennsylvania, had to have his father Fleming B. Fraser assist with the purchase of the car, even titling it in his father’s name. Fraser flew to Los Angeles to pick up the car at Shelby’s LAX facility. On his drive back East, he stopped and visited friends in Chicago and Ohio before returning to Philadelphia. The only issue Fraser dealt with on the drive back was being woken up by a hotel desk clerk late at night; the Cobra’s horn was blaring in a New Mexico hotel parking lot. In the pitch black of night, Fraser disconnected the horn and later got the short fixed. The Cobra would remain his daily driver until partway through 1968, when he received a company-provided car. Yet even through moves to Atlanta, Cincinnati, and South Florida, the Cobra remained under Fraser’s ownership, with usage changing from daily driver to purely recreational from 1969 to 1973. The car was repainted three times under Fraser’s ownership, first to silver metalflake in 1966; he had not been happy with the original ordinary shade of white, which was the only color option he had when the car was ordered. In 1970 it was refinished to red with black around the nose, and finally a patriotic red, white, and blue with airbrushed stars in 1972. The South Florida heat left few opportunities to truly enjoy the car, even with an attempted air conditioning installation. In 1973, Fraser bought a Porsche 911 S Targa at DeMaria Porsche in Coral Gables, Florida, leaving the Cobra there on consignment. Later in 1973, Dr. Robert “Bob” Slayden of Atlanta, Georgia, purchased the Cobra after discovering it at the back of the dealership lot. Dr. Slayden would go on to have the car fully restored and refinished in red over black. In 1991, Dr. Slayden took CSX 2496 to a Carroll Shelby Foundation event and met the man himself, with Shelby signing the driver’s side wind wing (photos on file). Despite toying with selling the car in the mid-1990s to acquire a Ferrari, Dr. Slayden would retain ownership, even commissioning an engine rebuild in 2009 prior to eventually selling the car in November 2010. Canepa Design in Scotts Valley, California, repainted the car black and sold the car to current ownership, a respected private family collection in the Pacific Northwest, in September of 2011. Today the car is offered in the desirable color combination of black over black, and it rides on painted wire wheels wrapped in Goodyear Eagle GT tires. The wind wings and sun visors are all Cobra-branded, and the car retains the Shelby-signed driver’s side wind wing. The interior features Stewart Warner instrumentation, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, a dash clock, and lap belts. The car is equipped with a black tonneau cover, as well as a black convertible top with top bows and side windows. The car’s CSX number is stamped in the trunk latch and driver’s side hood latch. The Cobra retains its matching-numbers engine, according to its chassis plate. The V-8 is fueled by a Holley carburetor (stamped S2MS-9510-A LIST 3259-1) and is equipped with cylinder heads displaying “19” and “21” castings. Under current ownership, the car has covered just 192 miles. The Cobra is accompanied by a grease gun, Shelley jack, Thor knock-off hammer, and a modern tool roll. On file are copies of CSX 2496’s AC invoice to Shelby American, Shelby American’s invoice to Norwood Auto Sales, as well as select invoices and documentation, including period photos. One of 655 small-block Shelby Cobras produced, CSX 2496 boasts just three owners from new, is equipped with its numbers-matching engine, and is accompanied by a very nice history file. It represents a special opportunity to acquire one of the most celebrated American sports cars, the 289 Cobra. 1965 Shelby 289 Cobra RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. General History Unveiled at the 1961 Geneva Motor Show, the Jaguar E-type delivered a totally new approach to sports cars. Stunning design, unrivaled performance, and racing lineage made the E-Type an immediate sensation. With its beautiful lines and surprisingly affordable price, the E-Type garnered its iconic status where it continues to reign at the top of collector and enthusiast lists. Independent front and rear suspension, disc brakes all around (inboard at the rear to reduce unsprung weight), and Jaguar’s legendary twin-cam inline six-cylinder engine were just part of the allure. Sales were brisk with growing interest in both American and European markets. Although the E-Type would continue into the mid 1970s, enthusiasts today remain steadfast regarding their admiration for the Series 1 models as one of the most beautiful and capable sports cars ever conceived. Current Condition and Ownership According to original sales documentation accompanying this Jaguar, this remarkable original example was purchased in 1967 and delivered to Fretwell Motor Company, Oklahoma City, OK. Invoiced to the first owner, Elvy R. Hopkins on June 27, 1967, the car was sold with an AM/FM radio, white wall tires, chrome wheels, tinted glass, bumper guards, and seat belts. Though originally invoiced with air conditioning, the car was later confirmed June 28, 1967, on the Delivery Ticket to be delivered without AC. Bill of Sale was signed July 7, 1967. Having taken delivery in Oklahoma, Hopkins drove the car to his China Lake, California home titling and registering the car in September 1967 with license plate UGL 994 (original registration slips included with the car). By 1969 the car experienced engine failure. The owner parked the car in his garage where it remained until 2009. After the original owner passed, his sister was gifted the car. In 20011, she had the engine professionally rebuilt being careful to preserve and retain all the original engine components replaced during the engine rebuild. Each of these parts, including the original tires, are retained and offered with this remarkable example of originality and preservation. After the engine was rebuilt, the sister of the original owner sold this Jaguar to the current owner, an avid NorCal enthusiast and concours participant who showed the car at the Hillsborough Concours where he won in the originality class. In an effort to retain the original low mile condition, the current owner has driven the car approximately 2o0 miles during his fourteen years of ownership. Current Presentation Today this Jaguar presents in exceptional original condition. The finish shows only mild areas of age, one small scratch (about ½’ in length), but still remains smooth and glossy throughout. The finish has been metered with a digital paint meter revealing single digit paint thickness readings consistent with original paint. The lighting, lenses, and glass are clean and preserved throughout. The body integrity is excellent, with factory panel gaps on the rear hatch, and bonnet, and door fit that is especially good considering nearly 60 years of age. The chrome window and side glass surrounds are in excellent original condition overall, as are the front and rear. The original wire wheels feature chrome plated knock offs with excellent finish now wearing a set of Uniroyal narrow band white wall tires date coded 2023. The tan interior (representing the earlier tan hue for this series) is original throughout and again, consistent with the rest of the car, superbly detailed, clean, and properly preserved. The original carpet is excellent including the beaded edging and correct contours for the floor and center console. The dash pad is very fine owing to indoor storage avoiding unwanted sun damage. The instruments are beautifully preserved with excellent faces and contrasting color as are the AM/FM stereo, wood rimmed steering wheel and manual transmission shifter. The original door panels, matching covered door sills, headliner, and rear storage area are quite nice in both condition and material quality, again preserved and protected from outdoor elements. The engine compartment is correct in appearance and properly detailed. Having been rebuilt recently, the commissioning owner was careful to not overdo the engine compartment and thus retained the finishes and patina of the factory assembly. Both the engine numbers are evident and matching as is the “picture frame” support section bearing the correct chassis number, both of which correspond correctly to the data plate affixed to the car and the matching sales documentation supporting the original purchase. The undercarriage is clean, tidy, and very much in keeping with the 17,000 original miles being mercifully unrestored only cleaned to preserve the original finishes. The body seams, weld lines, and joinery are further indicative of original construction while all suspension, brakes, lines, and exhaust are original with only a few exceptions allowing for soft rubber parts to be replaced only as needed, here too retained as spares accompanying this car. Included with the car The car is accompanied by an original owner’s pouch, operating manual, warranty book, maintenance voucher book, a complete set of tools and tool roll, a pair of Carello fog lamps, the original four Dunlop tires, and an assortment of spare original engine and brake components removed during the engine rebuild and cosmetic freshening. 1967 Jaguar XKE 4.2 Fantasy Junction If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1965 Ferrari 275 GTB 2
By the mid-1960s it seemed Ferrari could do no wrong, winning on all fronts from sports car racing to Grands Prix and producing the most beautiful cars in the world. Ferrari's dual-purpose cars seemed unstoppable combining race-winning performance with film star good looks. As the legendary 250 GT LWB "Tour de France" gave way to the marvelous 250 GT SWB Berlinetta - and led ultimately to the awe-inspiring 250 GTO in 1962. Introduced at the 1964 Paris Auto Show, the new 275 GTB gave Ferrari a chance to incorporate all the best characteristics of this fabled bloodline. Many consider the resulting car to be the finest production Ferrari ever built, combining the thoroughbred mechanical pedigree of its road racing forebears with sufficient creature comforts to make the 275 GTB a superlative grand touring automobile. Under the skin, the 275 GTB incorporated the best Ferrari chassis design, starting with the oval section tube backbone chassis. Independent suspension was fitted all around for the first time on a road-going Ferrari, and a 5-speed gearbox was also included in the specification. The transmission was mounted at the rear of the car for improved weight distribution in a transaxle. Now enlarged to 3.3 litres, the 60-degree V12 engine remained the familiar Colombo type producing 280bhp at 7,600rpm. A higher, claimed 300bhp, state of tune was available by employing six Weber carburettors instead of the standard three. In addition, customers purchasing a 275 GTB for road use could also specify aluminium coachwork. This coachwork was all new too, a stunning Pininfarina design that evoked the graceful lines of the legendary 250 GTO. A long bonnet combined with a Kamm-tail rear body created a striking profile, while vents in the front wings gave the car a muscular edge. Vents in the sail panels added to the effect and paid tribute to the 250 GT 'Tour de France' Berlinettas. A smoothly integrated rear spoiler helped give the car a strong visual identity. Although the 275 GTB was a car of many firsts, it was also the last car that could be considered a true coach built road/race Berlinetta in the great Ferrari tradition. Although most lived their lives on the streets, many led a dual life, winning on road courses and hill climbs on the weekend, while providing stylish and exciting transportation during the week. Delivered new to Luigi Chinetti Motors in New York City, this particular 275 GTB was built to short nose specifications with three carburettors, steel bodywork, and was fitted with power windows. Finished in Rosso Cina over Nero (VM 8500), it was sold new by Chinetti to a Mr Carl Iverson. By 1974, the 275 GTB had moved across the country and is noted as being owned by Carl E. Drake Jr. of San Francisco by that point. In 1982, the 275 came into the ownership of Robert Dorris of Fort Worth, Texas. No stranger to Ferrari’s, Dorris’ father had previously owned a 212/225 Inter Coupe with Vignale coachwork (chassis no. 0179 EL). The next year, the 275 GTB was advertised for sale in the Ferrari Market Letter by Robert Dorris. It was described as being finished in red with black leather, and a “nice original car with only two previous owners”. In June of 1986, the 275 GTB found a new owner with John R. Anderson of Lewisville, Texas. It remained in Texas for the next seven years, returning to Europe in 1993 when purchased by Wolter Gratama. Gratama showed at the 11th Modena Motorsport Track Days at the Nürburgring in June 2005, winning his class in the Concours. The car returned to the same event in 2007. In 2015, the 275 GTB was granted Ferrari Classiche certification, confirming that it retains its original chassis, engine, bodywork and has been fitted with a replacement gearbox of the correct type and Borrani RW 4039 wheels. Remaining in the Netherlands until 2016, that same year the car was acquired by the previous owner and imported to the U.K., where it remains today. Upon its arrival in the U.K., it was entrusted to Bob Houghton for a total and comprehensive rebuild at a total cost of over £78,000. Seldom driven over the succeeding five years, it returned to Houghton for further service work in 2021 which included fitting a new master cylinder, new exhausts, and an oil and filters change. It has been driven less than 500 miles since. In addition to the aforementioned Classiche binder, the car is accompanied by a history file, owner's manuals, and tool kit. DK sold this example to its current custodian in 2022 and since then the car has been used sparingly. Presenting as optioned when new, this 275 GTB is fabulous form, having never been fully restored and still retaining its original interior. Full of character, it could easily be driven and enjoyed with ease as one of Ferrari’s most attractive and exciting V-12 grand tourers. It is available for inspection immediately at our facilities just outside London and will receive a full service as part of the sale. 1965 Ferrari 275 GTB D.K. - 1976 Ferrari 512 BB
At its debut at the Paris Show in 1976, the 512 BB was equipped with a 5-litre version of the 12-cylinder boxer. The new engine proved a great success, giving the same power at lower revs, better torque and a smoother delivery than the earlier version in the 365 GT4 BB. The Pininfarina coachwork differed only slightly from the previous model in certain details which not only made it look even more elegant but also helped improve engine cooling. Between 1976 and 1980 there were 929 exemplars built. The Ferrari 512 BB presented here was first delivered in Italy in 1977. A few years ago, the car was extensively revised in Italy by renowned Ferrari specialists on a first-class basis and repainted in its original delivery colour “Argento Auteuil Metallizz”. After having finished the restoration, the vehicle received a Ferrari Classiche certificate. An extensive photo and invoice documentation of all work completed is available. The engine and gearbox have recently been completely overhauled at Ferrari Rothe in Hamburg. This Ferrari 512 BB with a low mileage of only 40,452 km is in a first-class condition.
