  • 1968 Lamborghini Miura P400 S

The Lamborghini Miura It takes but a tickle on the firmly sprung throttle pedal for the initial awkwardness of the driving position and any accompanying anxiety to subside. The throttle bodies and insatiably thirsty carburettors of the 3.9-litre V12 are, quite literally, inches from your ear canals And as you press the throttle towards its stop, gazing as the needles on the two large dials directly ahead rise towards their 8,000rpm redline, corresponding with instant response, the powerful aural symphony edges towards its crescendo. A gloriously hard cacophony floods the small yet airy cabin and the Miura surges forward with unrelenting urgency and speed. The Miura is a scarcely believable 225kg lighter than a Ferrari 330 GTS. And it tells. Driving a Miura is a life-affirming experience. All the while you’re acutely aware of how outrageously virile and desperately beautiful it is to look at – the fact you’re driving a waist-height spaceship that’s about as conspicuous a car as it’s possible to find. But from behind the wheel and at normal road speed, it’s far friendlier and more relaxing than you’d imagine. You sit slightly higher than you’d expect, which offers a great view out ahead over the low, short nose. While requiring decisive inputs, the pedals and gearchange feel positive and modern by late-1960s standards. The ride is firm enough to inspire confidence yet supple enough for long journeys. And it doesn’t feel worryingly wide on all but the narrowest of country lanes. “All the while you’re acutely aware of how outrageously virile and desperately beautiful it is to look at – the fact you’re driving a waist-height spaceship.” The legacy of the Miura is difficult to downplay. Famously held as the first ‘supercar’, it truly broke the mould, which is of little surprise given the heavy-hitting roll-call of engineers who designed it behind Ferruccio Lamborghini’s back: Dallara, Stanzani, Wallace, Gandini, etcetera. The P400 S Distinguishable from the original P400 most obviously by the chrome glass and headlamp surrounds, the Miura P400 S (S for Spinto, or ‘tuned’ in English) was introduced in 1968 and brought in a raft of small mechanical and aesthetic upgrades. Take the new Koni shock absorbers, the electric windows and the (optional) factory air-conditioning system, for example. Our favourite feature on the P400 S, however? It’s got to be the new full-length overhead bank of switches – fighter-jet style. Lamborghini style! Santa’Agata built just 338 Miura LP400 Ss and today they’re considered the sweet spot between the original LP400 and the more hardcore SV model which followed. Chassis number 3799 The Miura S we’re offering was issued with its Certificate of Origin on 15 November 1968 and was one of a mere 46 examples delivered to the Torinese concessionaire Lamborauto, situated a stone’s throw from the Bertone plant, where the Lamborghinis’ sculptural bodies were designed. The fifth of 338 Miura Ss built, chassis number 3799 was originally finished in the striking colour combination of Verde Miura over a Senape (that’s mustard in the Queen’s) faux leather and cloth interior. A man by the name of Piero Quadro acquired the car on 2 January 1968, paying the princely sum of 7.7m Italian lire for the pleasure. We can think of worse ways to quash the January blues than with a brand new Lamborghini! There are some fabulous photos of this Miura at the Turin Aero Club captured shortly after it was delivered. Presumably Quadro was a keen pilot and wanted to exhibit his new land-based pride and joy alongside his Cessna. Chassis 3799 remained in Italy for seven years, before it was acquired by Rosmarie Rosser in Schoenbuehl and re-registered in Switzerland. Almost a decade later, in 1984, this Lamborghini was registered in France. This Miura would arrive at its final destination thus far, the United Kingdom, in 2001, when it was bought by one of the most influential industrial designers of his generation. Said designer entrusted GTC Engineering in Buckingham with a comprehensive restoration. At this point, the interior was retrimmed in blue – a shade which, in our humble opinion, better complements the dazzling Verde Miura exterior. The car was registered in the UK in 2004 with the number ‘XBY 375F’, which it retains to this day. Chassis 3799 remained with its first UK-based custodian for 17 years, during which time it was treasured and enjoyed as part of a collection of truly distinguished taste. In 2018, the Lamborghini changed hands, the new UK owner having the car featured in a dedicated feature in Petrolicious – then a publication of dizzying popularity. You can click here to read the story. This Miura was acquired by its current owner in 2021 and promptly sent to a specialist near London for a thorough inspection and a number of remedial tasks including the fitment of 12 new spark plugs, cleaning of the rotor arms and posts, balancing of the carburettors and adjustment of the mixtures. More recently, in early 2023, a further mechanical inspection was conducted by the same specialist, at which point the engine oil was replaced and protective cavity wax was applied to the concealed areas of the Miura’s underside. Suffice to say, from a mechanical point of view, this Miura is in rude health. Both Max Girardo and Marcus Willis commented about how well-sorted chassis 3799 feels from behind the wheel – both specialists with plenty of Miura experience under their belts. It’s a car which has benefitted from regular use and careful maintenance. And it’s a car whose next owner should not hesitate to use and enjoy – as Ferruccio Lamborghini intended when he set out to build a more refined and useable car than his foe Enzo Ferrari in Maranello. 1968 Lamborghini Miura P400 S Girardo & Co. • 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB

The Ferrari 275 GTB was the finest Grand Tourer of its time, combining a powerful V12 engine and beautifully sorted chassis with a Pininfarina design of timeless elegance. Produced during a golden period for the marque, it is among the most coveted of all roadgoing Ferraris. The factory Certificate of Origin for this 275 GTB – chassis number 08633 – was issued on 4 June 1966. As a Series 2 car, it benefits not only from the later ‘long nose’ styling, but also from the torque tube that Ferrari added between the front-mounted engine and the rear transaxle in order to improve refinement over the earlier Series 1. ‘08633’ was sold new on 11 June 1966 via Ferrari dealer Motor SpA di Carla Allegretti et C. Its first owner was Franco Resto, who lived in Imola and was born in 1945 – meaning that the 275 GTB might well have been a 21st birthday present. It was finished in Rosso Rubino with a Beige interior. The car was given the Bologna registration BO 273780, and during the late 1960s it was serviced at Ferrari’s Assistenza Clienti on Viale Trento Trieste in central Modena. Resto kept it until 22 January 1970, when it was sold – again via Motor SpA – to another Imola-based owner, Andreano Collina. Five years later, the Ferrari began a long period in the USA when it was sold by Milan-based dealer Dino Armando Genghini and exported to Los Angeles. In October 1981, it was acquired by Dr Alexander Sywak, a cardiovascular surgeon who lived in California. He kept it until 1987, when it was purchased by Fred Bohlander of Carmel Valley. In 1995, the 275 GTB was offered for sale by McCall Motorsports of Monterey, California, with a note saying that it had been ‘meticulously maintained since restoration’. It was then acquired by a new owner who lived on the East Coast, but by the time it was displayed at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering during the 2004 Monterey Car Week, it was back in the hands of a California-based enthusiast who registered it ‘TOO CAM’. It subsequently passed to an owner who was based in Montana and Arizona, before changing hands again and being exported to the UK in 2021. It was registered PUB 239D and in 2023 it was entrusted to renowned specialist GTO Engineering so that it could be prepared for the Tour Auto. In October 2023, it returned to GTO Engineering so that the gearbox and differential could be overhauled. As part of that work, the clutch and synchromesh rings were replaced, and new seals and bearings fitted throughout. Now being offered for sale at The Classic Motor Hub, this Ferrari 275 GTB is a beautifully presented, matching-numbers example of this peerless Grand Tourer, and comes with a report by marque historian Marcel Massini. Without doubt one of the best-looking Ferrari road cars ever built, it retains its ability to cover long distances with ease – all accompanied by the evocative sound from its triple-carburettor V12 engine. MODEL HISTORY As the replacement for the legendary 250 series, the 275 had big shoes to fill when it was introduced in 1964. Offered in both GTB coupé form and as the GTS convertible, it offered a considerable step forward over its illustrious predecessor thanks to developments such as a five-speed transaxle and all-round independent suspension. The latter was achieved via double wishbones and was a first for Ferrari road cars, which had previously used a live rear axle. Disc brakes were employed all round and Borrani wire wheels fitted, while underneath the bonnet was an updated 3.3-litre version of Gioacchino Colombo’s famous V12 engine. As standard, it ran on a trio of Weber carburettors and produced a claimed 280bhp, but a six-carb set-up was offered as a factory option and boosted that to well over 300bhp. As per Ferrari tradition, the model name came from the capacity of each individual cylinder, the 77mm bore and 58.8mm stroke adding up to 275cc. In 1966, Ferrari introduced various updates on the Series 2 model. These included revised ‘long nose’ styling for the Pininfarina-designed, Scaglietti-built bodywork, which was made from steel with alloy doors, bonnet and boot lid. The factory also offered the option of a lightweight, all-aluminium body. Although it was initially refused GT-class homologation for 1965 – a decision that led to one of Enzo Ferrari’s famous tantrums – the 275 had a successful motorsport career. A Competizione Speciale model – ostensibly based on the road car’s Tipo 563 chassis but heavily modified in almost every respect – was developed under Mauro Forghieri and finished third overall at Le Mans in 1965. For the 1966 season, a short run of 275 GTB/C cars was produced and the Maranello Concessionaires entry of Piers Courage and Roy Pike won its class in that year’s Le Mans 24 Hours. In late 1966, the roadgoing 275 gained a new four-cam version of the 3.3-litre V12 in order to create the GTB/4. That car lived on until 1968, when it was replaced by the 365 GTB/4 – better known as the Daytona. 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB The Classic Motor Hub If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1970 Alfa Romeo 1750 GT Veloce GTV

This beautiful example was first registered in Italy in 1970 and was fully restored just one year ago in 2023. Despite this, it still carries its original number plates and has a genuine 79,950kms on the clock. The chassis number is AR 1381395, along with Engine: 00548. During the pandemic, the car, which was already in decent condition, was completely disassembled and restored inside, outside, and underneath. The exterior was repainted in French Blue, a colour used for only 200 cars, and it is the original colour, as confirmed by the certificate issued by Alfa Heritage. Underneath, two corners of the front floor pan were replaced with new sheet metal due to rust. The underside was cleaned, and the original grey underbody protective coating was reapplied. The brakes were fully overhauled, with the replacement of rubber hoses, the pump, brake pads, and a complete revision of the four brake calipers. All the tie rods in the front end are new, along with new tyres and Chromodora magnesium alloy wheels, which were an optional feature at the time and have been refurbished. The engine has been completely rebuilt, including a new water pump, alternator, starter motor, carburettor overhaul, and a brand-new exhaust system. The windshield was replaced because the old one was scratched. The seat covers were replaced because the old ones were worn out over time, with new covers identical to the originals. The dashboard is perfect, without cracks or defects, and the instruments work perfectly, as does the electrical system. The front headlights and rear taillights are also new. The bodywork is excellent, with the chassis free of any kind of visible corrosion. The chrome parts are excellent, the alloy wheels are correct and in excellent condition, as are all the tyres. The beautiful light brown leather interior presents beautifully and has no rips or tears. The headlining is also perfect, completely intact, which is extraordinary. The car is in perfect mechanical condition, as you would expect given how recently it was restored. The legendary 4-cylinder double overhead cam engine is perfect and "on the button," as is the wonderful 5-speed gearbox. 1970 Alfa Romeo 1750 GT Veloce GTV Iconic Auctioneers Ltd If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1958 Lancia Aurelia B20 Coupé Series VI by Pinin Farina

In its final year, the Aurelia B20 had matured into an exemplary grand touring car. While peak power had been reduced for the sixth series GT, its 2.5-litre, Jano-designed V-6 made 112 brake horsepower from a single Weber 40 DCL 5 carburettor. Braking was at its most advanced: its large drums were close in specification to that of the forthcoming Flaminia. The model featured greater sound deadening, quarter-vent windows, and improved rear leaf-springs suspension to make the final year Aurelia a more luxurious and comfortable car than previous model GTs. According to the Lancia historian Wim Oude Weernink, this car was built 31 cars before the end of Aurelia production. Leaving the factory on 8 May 1958, this Aurelia B20 was finished in Nero over a Panno beige interior. The Lancia is noted to have appeared at the 1958 Salone dell’automobile di Torino, and while its subsequent history is not documented, by the 1990s the car had a succession of Italian owners. The Aurelia is offered for sale with Automotoclub Storico Italian (ASI) and Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens (FIVA) identity cards both issued in 1996. Presented today in its factory-correct colour scheme of Nero over Panno beige, this Aurelia has been found to retain its matching-numbers engine and front axle. It is further accompanied by a Lancia Classiche Certificate of Origin. As the very first example of any car series is valued, so must the last-of-the-line models. This late-production Aurelia, built at the end of a fabulous motorsport legacy enjoyed by Hawthorn, Behra, and Fangio, has much to offer in preservation. 1958 Lancia Aurelia B20 Coupé Series VI RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1976 Ferrari 512 BB

At its debut at the Paris Show in 1976, the 512 BB was equipped with a 5-litre version of the 12-cylinder boxer. The new engine proved a great success, giving the same power at lower revs, better torque and a smoother delivery than the earlier version in the 365 GT4 BB. The Pininfarina coachwork differed only slightly from the previous model in certain details which not only made it look even more elegant but also helped improve engine cooling. Between 1976 and 1980 there were 929 exemplars built. The Ferrari 512 BB presented here was first delivered in Italy in 1977. A few years ago, the car was extensively revised in Italy by renowned Ferrari specialists on a first-class basis and repainted in its original delivery colour “Argento Auteuil Metallizz”. After having finished the restoration, the vehicle received a Ferrari Classiche certificate. An extensive photo and invoice documentation of all work completed is available. The engine and gearbox have recently been completely overhauled at Ferrari Rothe in Hamburg. This Ferrari 512 BB with a low mileage of only 40,452 km is in a first-class condition. • 1966 Porsche 912

This 1966 Porsche 912 was sold new on August 15th, 1966, at A.J. Pierson Sales and Service in Orlando, Florida, with an out-the-door price of $5,739.44. Originally finished in Gulf Blue, this 912 was refinished in Polo Red yet otherwise remains very original throughout. One thing that can’t be replicated and sets this car apart from most classics of this generation is a binder with a paper trail dating back to the receipt from the selling dealer in 1966 up to the current day. This example was acquired by the current owner in 2020 and has undergone significant mechanical freshening, with receipts for over $28,000 spent in 2023 to get it dialed in. Under current ownership, this 912 was featured on the lawn at the prestigious The Quail, A Motorsport Gathering in 2022. The exterior of the vehicle looks fantastic, with the Polo Red paint paired with steel wheels and chrome hubcaps, and a white and black Porsche script decal along the sills. Up front, a set of fog lights and a covered set of Cibie spotlights have been installed. The interior combines black vinyl with unique white vinyl door cards and has received some fantastic upgrades in recent years. When the current owner purchased the car, a modern Pioneer head unit was fitted in the dashboard's center, which just looked wrong. To address this, the head unit was removed, and in its place, a pair of Cletimer and Sportex (a Heuer subsidiary) stopwatches were fitted on a brushed aluminum plate that matches the dash nicely. A 3-spoke wood-rimmed steering wheel frames the 356-inspired 3 gauge dashboard, made up of a speedometer, tach, and split fuel/oil temperature gauge. Coco Mats in black/white are fitted on the floors, and 4-point seat belts have been installed for the two front seats. Powering this 912 is a 1,600cc air cooled flat-4 which produces an estimated 90 horsepower, that is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual gearbox. The engine was completely rebuilt in 2001 and the gearbox has received a recent overhaul to ensure it functions properly. As it stands, the car runs and drives extremely well and the inspection report shows only minor seepage on the engine which is remarkable for a car of this age. 1966 Porsche 912 ISSIMI, Inc If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1965-bizzarrini-5300-gt-2

This is a genuine, early Bizzarrini which was inspected by Jack Koobs de Hartog, who is very much a recognised expert on Bizzarrinis and has written several books on the cars. The car was built at the end of 1965 when Piero Rivolta and Bizzarrini fell out and therefore, although much of the car would have been built alongside other ISO A3/C s, it was originally badged as a Bizzarrini. This example is 1 of just 12 of a total of 73 5300 GTs built with a lightweight aluminium body and De-Dion rear suspension. These cars were one of the first to pair the Italian prowess and sophistication with the brute of an American-sourced powerplant. With known ownership from new, this Bizzarrini was supplied new the USA where it remained until 2002. Supplied new by Bizzarrini to the USA 2nd Owner - Carey Loftin - LA 3rd Owner - Bill DeCarr - LA 4th Owner - Rudy Klein - LA 5th Owner - Ron Spindler - LA 6th Owner - Scott Stupay - Virginia 7th Owner – Jamie McIntyre - UK This example has recently been treated to a full recommissioning by specialist preparers, Pursuit, to match the specification of the first ISO A3/C Corsa; a car which, unlike the Bizzarrini-badged cars, raced in early 1964. This was an important factor; as the car needed to be able to gain entry to Goodwood. It is also worth noting that all original parts that were removed during the rebuild have been carefully retained, including all interior trim and brightwork. There are disc brakes all round, independent front suspension and a De-Dion rear axle. The engine BHP has been reduced from just over 470bhp to 448bhp in favour of a more linear curve and increased torque. As such, the car is eligible for numerous events during the racing calendar, including the Goodwood TT, the Spa Six Hours and the Masters historic racing series where it would be without doubt a front runner in the right hands. The restoration process included a distinct focus on weight-saving where possible, with the outcome being a reduction of over 30kgs. A bespoke, inconel, silenced exhaust system was developed and fitted. Amends were made to the car to ensure it conformed to HTP regulations and tipping the scales at a scant 1,098kg, it meets the minimum homologated weight. Accompanying the car are a large number of documents and photographs of the rebuild and of the car in its dismantled state. Post restoration laps at Goodwood saw the car set a time that would have put it on pole for Goodwood TT only a few weeks later As well as a full gearbox and differential refresh, the overhaul included engine dyno testing, damper testing, a brake rebuild and subsequent testing to ensure this example is ready to race. This Bizzarrini presents today once more in it period livery and available to view by appointment immediately. HTP papers are in process and will be supplied with the car 1965 Bizzarrini 5300 GT D.K. Welcome to the ’70s. This is the car that perfectly embodies a decade when gold metallic paint and V8 engines were the answer to all of life’s problems. A time when the tax office wasn’t great at math, and everyone sparkled in glorious irresponsibility. And it was wonderful. This 1974 Alfa Romeo Montreal comes in the outrageously extravagant and original color ‘Oro Metallizzato’ — the kind of gold that makes you want to wear a thick chain over an open polyester shirt. And we absolutely love it. The party continues inside with an interior just as striking: Avana Beige. It’s the color of a vintage tuxedo — luxurious and suave — and it feels like it’s about to offer you a bottle of Chivas Regal and a lighter. This is the car for the person who doesn’t ask for attention — they simply command it. Beneath that brilliantly low-slung body, drawn by design god Marcello Gandini (yes, the man behind the Miura), lies proof that Alfa Romeo’s engineers were drinking from the fountain of madness. They dropped in the engine from their ferocious Tipo 33 race prototype — an advanced, all-aluminum V8 with dry-sump lubrication. And look at those headlights: those genius louvered “blinds.” Gandini must have thought, “Let’s give the lights sunglasses — they’re too cool to be on display all the time.” The Montreal is what happens when you tell a designer not to stay within the lines. Only 3,925 of these mechanical masterpieces were ever built, making it a rare gem. And in this Oro Metallizzato specification — so rare we almost don’t want to sell it — you’ll own Alfa’s most legendary engine wrapped in their most iconic 1970s design. The Montreal is the ultimate statement car. Originally delivered in Europe and brought to the Netherlands in 2003, it has been meticulously cared for ever since. If you’re looking for a modest, sensible car — buy a Toyota. If you’re after a car that roars, glitters, and smells like petrol and pure, unfiltered joy, you’ve just found your new obsession. • 1991-ferrari-348

The Car Barn are very pleased to offer for sale this beautiful Ferrari 348. It is finished in the quintessential Ferrari colour combination of Rosso Corsa with Creama leather. The 348 is powered by a mid-mounted naturally aspirated 3.4-litre V8, delivering 296bhp to the rear wheels through an open-gate five-speed manual transmission. It was treated to a major service in November 2021, which included replacing the cam belts, water pump, and tensioners. The clutch was replaced in April 2015 at 47,670 miles. Factory-fitted equipment includes climate control, electric windows, and electric mirrors. The car is accompanied by the original owner’s book pack, including the service book with 12 stamps. It was last serviced in November 2021 at 50,081 miles, when Classic Car Solutions replaced the cam belt, water pump, tensioners, and coolant. Bell Classics previously carried out a service in April 2015 at 47,670 miles, which included replacing the engine oil and oil filter, cam belt, water pump, cam cover gaskets, camshaft seals, track rod ends, and CV joints, as well as rebuilding the steering rack. They also fitted uprated Hill Engineering tensioners, checked and set the valve clearances, and carried out a leak-down test, with all cylinders showing a compression loss of less than five percent. During this visit the Bell Classics also installed a single-plate clutch and technicians re-packed the flywheel, fitted Goodridge brake hoses, re-cored the radiators, rebuilt the dampers, replaced the second-gear synchromesh, replaced the hand brake cable and all brake pads, installed poly-bushes to the suspension. The current owner bought it in 2022 and has kept it in storage since. It has only done 60 miles since he purchased it. Jonathon's comments: 'The 348 has been an under appreciated Ferrari for years and finally starting to be recognised. It's a real event to drive, not the fastest by todays standards but the way it makes you feel is what's important. The car has got a good service history and it has spent a lot of its life in storage, hopefully the next owner will drive it!' The car will receive a fresh service and MoT test prior to leaving the Car Barn. We welcome any part exchanges and we provide a 6 month warranty on most of our cars (subject to terms and conditions) 1991 Ferrari 348 Car Barn If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The Cultivated Collector’s 1986 Lamborghini Countach 5000QV, chassis 12990, is a head-turning example finished in the beautiful colorway of Rosso over Champagne. 12990 was delivered to its first owner by Meadowlands Car Imports of North Bergen, NJ in April of 1986, having left the factory with the order box checked for the optional rear wing, and retains it to this day, along with the highly uncommon front wing that was present to make the car road compliant. Today, having covered 26,500km, 12990 has enjoyed just two owners from new while spending time in both Michigan and Illinois, and wears mostly original Rosso paint with the stunning Champagne interior showing minimal wear from new. The sale of 12990 includes all records and paperwork from new, inclusive of the original sales invoice, as well as owners manuals. Benefitting from regular and consistent servicing from new, 12990 has recently undergone service in preparation for sale at Vantage Motors, which includes repair and remedy of an exhaust leak, as well as repairing the air injection pipes on the intake manifold. 12990 is eager to run with the best and enthusiastically begin its next chapter on the open roads. 1986 Lamborghini Countach 5000 quattrovalvole The Cultivated Collector LLC If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer.
