  • 1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California

Achieved 3rd in class and 19th overall at the 1962 Targa Florio The second of 56 short-wheelbase examples built, and one of 18 built with uncovered headlamps One of two examples fitted with a Tipo 128 F engine; and one of three built without side vents Exhibited by Ferrari at the 1960 Turin Motor Show Former ownership by noted American privateer Bob Grossman Restored by Italian craftsmen from 2013 to 2016 and recently refinished in its 1962 Targa Florio livery Retains matching-numbers engine, gearbox, and rear axle example, as documented by its Ferrari Classiche Red Book Successfully campaigned on the Colorado Grand and the Ferrari Factory Cavalcade Classic Presented at the Cavallino Classic, the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance, and Retromobile Documented with factory engine build sheet, Auto Club d’Italia estratto cronologico, and report from historian Marcel Massini; accompanied by original factory hardtop The proverbial sports car pantheon is full of models that have achieved one kind of metric or another, but at the very peak of Olympus two words loom larger than most any other: California Spider. Ferrari achieved great heights with its 250 GT platform, finding remarkable success in sports car competition with the Tour de France and Testa Rossa models. In 1957, however, one man dared to push the boundaries even further. John von Neumann was a California-based importer and co-founder of the local sports car club who had become a regular distributor for Ferrari sales on the West Coast. He proposed the idea of a dual-use open Ferrari that could be driven to the track and raced before being gently driven home, in the tradition of Maranello’s great berlinettas. Official Ferrari importer Luigi Chinetti supported the idea and before long a new 250 GT appeared: the California Spider. Sportier than the concurrent 250 GT Cabriolet, the California Spider shared the Tour de France berlinetta’s chassis, and the open coachwork was designed and built by the legendary Sergio Scaglietti with beautifully sculpted curves and a commanding stance. This was a Ferrari for every sense to enjoy; wondrous to hear, viscerally thrilling in performance, and beautiful to admire. Initially built on Ferrari’s 2,600-millimeter wheelbase chassis, the early California Spiders made a splash in GT competition, taking a class win at Sebring in 1959 and finishing 5th overall at Le Mans a few months later. Fifty examples of the California Spider were eventually built on the long-wheelbase chassis before Ferrari introduced its 2,400-millimeter short-wheelbase platform. Unveiled at the 1960 Geneva Salon, the SWB California Spider featured several performance upgrades over its predecessor, including a wider track, Koni adjustable telescopic shock absorbers, four-wheel disc brakes, and the latest evolution of the highly developed short-block V-12 engine. As the most advanced iteration of the model’s design, the SWB California Spider was as thrilling to drive as it was to behold, and the car quickly gained favor with an illustrious group of jet-set owners, including James Coburn, Roger Vadim, and the Aga Khan. Ultimately produced in a modest quantity of 56 examples, the SWB California Spider has evolved into one of the most desirable Ferraris ever built, cherished by today’s collectors for its deft combination of 1950s styling elements and 1960s performance advances. CHASSIS NUMBER 1883 GT Claiming period racing and exhibition use, a three-year restoration conducted by Italian craftsmen, certification by Ferrari Classiche, and a recent refinish in its period racing livery, this exquisite Ferrari is a benchmark example of Maranello’s short-wheelbase spider. A flurry of production metrics demonstrates just how special this 250 GT truly is. In addition to being only the second SWB California Spider built, 1883 GT is one of 18 such cars that were configured with uncovered headlamps. The spider is furthermore distinguished by being one of 25 cars delivered with a factory hardtop, one of just three examples bodied without side vents, and one of two to be fitted with the Tipo 128 F engine. According to a history report by marque expert Marcel Massini, this steel-bodied California Spider completed assembly in August 1960, finished in Blu Medio paint with an interior upholstered with Rosso vaumol leather by Connolly. The 250 GT was purchased new through the Turin-based dealer Garage Fontanella & Co. by Litex S.a.S. on behalf of the company’s president, Robert Fusina, and he allowed Ferrari to exhibit the car on their stand at the 1960 Turin Motor Show. Shortly thereafter the 250 GT was sold by Litex to its second owner, Trieste resident Alessandro Terni, who had the car repainted in light blue metallic. Terni then loaned the SWB to Fusina and Guido De Bonis for use in the Targa Florio in May 1962, where the car impressively finished 3rd in class and a respectable 19th overall. According to Cavallino magazine (and to the best of our knowledge), 1883 GT is the only Ferrari 250 GT California Spider of any kind—either Long or Short Wheelbase—to compete in the Targa Florio in period. Two months later Terni sold the spider to Carlo Moraglia of Turin, although he only kept the car five months before selling it to De Bonis. In March 1963 the 250 changed ownership again when De Bonis sold the car to the Spanish-born Felix Manuel Cormin Villa, who also resided in Turin. By the end of 1963 the Ferrari was found in Switzerland by Bob Grossman, the famed American privateer whose SCCA racing successes in the LWB California Spiders chassis numbers 0939 GT and 1451 GT helped popularize the model. Grossman exported the 250 GT to the United States and from him it passed through a chain of four private owners through early 1982, by which time the car had been refinished in rosso over a tan interior. In 1983 the Ferrari was sold to Robert Panella of Stockton, California, a marque enthusiast whose collection included the 275 GTB/4 first owned by Steve McQueen (also being offered at RM Sotheby’s 2023 Monterey sale). Mr. Panella had the 250 GT restored, including the conversion of the nose configuration to covered headlamps, and he presented the spider at the Ferrari Owners Club Concours d’Elegance at the Rancho Cañada Golf Club in Carmel Valley in August 1984. Ten years later Panella presented the car at the FCA’s International Concours d’Elegance in Monterey. In July 1996 the Ferrari passed to Brazilian resident Carlos Monteverde, and after just one year he sold the car to artist and collector Everett Anton “Tony” Singer of Laurel Hollow, New York. Singer is better known in the niche as the proprietor of a vintage automotive poster printing company and as the founder of Automobilia Monterey. Singer also acquired the spider’s original hardtop, which had become separated from the car during the intervening years. Chassis 1883 GT was then displayed at the Greenwich Concours d’Elegance in June 1999, winning the Best Italian Sports Car award, and Singer went on to enjoy the car on the Colorado Grand for the following two years. During his ownership the spider also won a Silver Award at the 2001 Cavallino Classic, and it was presented at the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance two months later. In February 2002 the California Spider was acquired by a Swiss collector who exhibited the car at the Loris Kessel Ferrari Days at the Lugano-Agno airport and went on to retain possession for nine years. Sold to the current caretaker in January 2012, the 250 GT was submitted a year later to Ferrari Classiche to begin certification. The owner soon commissioned a complete restoration by the Carrozzeria Egidio Brandoli and Zanasi & Co. (including returning the headlamps to their original uncovered configuration, and an update of the livery to Nero over beige) and Joe Macari in London was retained to address all mechanical considerations. After completion of the three-year refurbishment in 2016, 1883 GT was certified with a Ferrari Classiche Red Book that demonstrates the spider retains its matching-numbers engine, gearbox, and rear axle. The 250 GT was then enjoyed during select European events, including the Ferrari Factory 70th Anniversary Cavalcade Classic in Tuscany in May 2017, and the Ferrari Factory Cavalcade Classic in Rome in 2019. The car was also presented at the Suisse Concours d’Elegance held at the Chateau Coppet in June 2018, and the 2023 Retromobile. In preparation for its current offering the California Spider has recently been treated to a refinish in light blue metallic over a rosso interior, matching the livery of its most glorious moment, the 3rd-in-class finish at the 1962 Targa Florio. As a tribute to its appearance at the epic Sicilian road race the car has also been fitted with an easily removable bolt-on rollbar, and decals with race #82 have been applied. The SWB is currently fitted with 15-inch Borrani wire wheels, and it is accompanied by a spare set of 16-inch Borranis. It is furthermore offered with its original factory soft-top and hard-top, each of which is stored in a separate flight case. Short-wheelbase California Spiders are only rarely offered in public settings, making the availability of this period-raced, Classiche-certified example an extremely special opportunity. Nuanced marque collectors seeking to acquire one of Maranello’s most celebrated Golden Grails should be pleased with the presentation of this magnificent spider. 1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1961 Ferrari 250 GTE

There are few numbers more synonymous with Ferrari than 250. Thanks to the period racing success and current values of cars like the 250 SWB and 250 GTO, these three numbers will forever be associated with some of Maranello’s greatest vehicles. That being said, the 250 title wasn’t relegated to just Ferrari racing cars. At the same time that 250s were winning on race tracks around the world, Ferrari was producing a line of road cars with largely the same powertrains and underpinnings, built to haul the wealthy across continents with great speed and comfort. Perhaps the most ubiquitous of these 250 “production” cars was the 250 GT/E- a stunning 2+2 coupe that was beautiful to look at, remarkably practical to use, and an absolute revelation to drive. Between 1959 and 1963, Ferrari produced nearly 1,000 of these GT/Es which helped keep the racing team well-funded and spoke to the desirability of Ferrari’s first proper 2+2 vehicle. Produced towards the end of 1961, this 1962 250 GT/E is in outstanding survivor condition and, although it has seen some refurbishment over the years, has never been fully restored. Presented in a gorgeous color combination of Argento Metallizzato over Rosso Rubino, this GT/E has always been well-maintained and is coming out of a significant Italian Ferrari collection and has been granted ASI certification. Around the car, the paint and body look to be kept to a very high level, and the chrome work around the car presents very well. It is fitted with a beautiful set of Borrani wire wheels in a matte gray finish, and the Ansa exhausts hint at the car’s sporting pretensions and give off a great noise while being driven hard. This silver color highlights the shape of the 250 GT/E with its subtle character line down the side and is remarkably elegant in person. The bright red leather on the inside is a striking contrast to the understated exterior and is in excellent condition throughout. Although some of the leather and carpeting appears to have been replaced over the years, numerous pieces of the interior seem original and the whole inside of the car has the sort of worn-in feel you want from a car of this age. In the center stack, a period-correct radio sits between the two rows of knobs, and the classic large metal ashtray with crossed Ferrari and Pininfarina flags is placed right in the center. The dashboard is dominated by a set of large, chrome-ringed Veglia gauges, while the dash itself along with the trim around the window line, is finished in silver to match the exterior. Under the hood sits the heart of the 250 GT/E, the famed 3-liter Gioacchino Colombo-designed V12. A glorious single overhead cam design, the 250 V12 is notorious for its revvy nature, smooth power delivery, and famed long-term durability which Ferrari made their name on in sports car racing throughout the 1950s and 1960s. In the 250 GT/E, this engine is rated at 237 horsepower and is paired to a 4-speed manual gearbox with overdrive for extended highway cruising. Sitting atop the engine is a set of 3 Weber carburetors that, when paired with the 4 Ansa exhaust tips in the rear, make a wonderful noise that is instantly recognizable and can not be replicated by any other car. For years the 250 GT/E was an under appreciated Ferrari and many were turned into replicas of 250 racing cars, meaning that out of the almost 1,000 cars produced, far fewer remain today. Thankfully, people have come to appreciate the 250 GT/E for what it is, a gorgeous grand touring car that is perfect for the enthusiast who wants to share the experience of Enzo-era Ferrari motoring with friends and family. This example, with its absolutely stunning color combination and careful maintenance over the years, is sure to be a wonderful car to own and is a stunning addition to any collection. 1961 Ferrari 250 GTE ISSIMI, Inc If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1972 Lotus Elan Plus 2 S 130-5 Ex-Ronnie Peterson

1972 Lotus Elan Plus 2S 130/5 (Chassis #1) handed over by Colin Chapman to Grand Prix legend, Ronnie Peterson, to use as his personal car. Whilst current market values often don't show it, the Elan Plus 2 was a pivotal car for Lotus when it launched in 1967. Its Ron Hickman lines and shared name may have pinned it with the petite breakthrough Elan of five years prior, but the Plus 2 was much more than a mere variant of the first mass-market Lotus. It was the marque's first real concerted push towards the upmarket sports car sector it inhabits today. Where its junior sibling was aimed squarely at the enthusiastic hobbyist, the Plus 2 was conceived to tempt the affluent young family man out of his Jaguar and into a Lotus for the first time. Consequently, the Lotus was generously adorned with Walnut veneers, leather, gauges, switches and the airy interior required by arriving young executives and their families. In confirmation of this, the Plus 2 was the first Lotus not available in self-assembly form. However, despite its larger overall dimensions, the Plus 2 remained true to the Lotus 'simplify and add lightness' mantra and the extended and widened Elan backbone chassis ensured that the Plus 2 retained the urgency and reactiveness that had proved such a hit with the original. This was something special, a light sporty concept that was brand new to this sector of the market and so much more than an enlarged Elan. Nicknamed 'Super Swede, Ronnie Peterson rose from karting to Formula 3, became European Formula 2 Champion in 1972 and came closest to winning the Formula 1 World Championship in 1973 and 1978. Peterson's first Grand Prix was in 1970 at Monaco driving for Colin Crabbe's privateer team, Antique Automobiles Racing Team, then progressing to drive for the March Team in 1971. In 1973, Ronnie signed for John Player Team Lotus, a team led by the ever-charismatic Colin Chapman with Peterson achieving his first win in a Lotus 72 at the 1973 French Grand Prix at Paul Ricard. Three further wins that year left Peterson third in the Championship. By 1975, the Lotus 72 was showing its age resulting in Peterson signing for Shadow, however, Chapman convinced him to stay at Lotus, promising faster development of the Lotus 77 with Peterson driving the car in 1976 before re-joining March Engineering for 1977 and winning the Italian Grand Prix. After a short spell with Tyrrell, Peterson returned to Lotus for the 1978 season winning the South African and Australian Grand Prix with his team mate, Mario Andretti, who won the World Championship that year. Ronnie Peterson's enduring legacy owes much to his spectacular sideways style and he is still regarded by many as one of the fastest drivers in F1 history. It is difficult to describe the effect that this young, good looking, quiet and shy but seriously talented Formula 1 driver had upon, not only Grand Prix enthusiasts, but the public in general, creating a huge ripple of affection that, remarkably, is still felt today some 45 years later. In late November 1972, the first Elan Plus 2 to roll off the line with a five-speed gearbox was given to Team Lotus Formula One driver Ronnie Peterson by Colin Chapman. The archives show that #1001L was handed over to Ronnie on 23/11/72 in Lagoon Blue with black trim and designated S130/5, the 'S' standing for the 130bhp Sprint specification engine and a five-speed gearbox. Two letters in the extensive history from Lotus Cars confirms Ronnie Peterson used the Elan as his personal car and the factory dispatch book shows the Elan was earmarked for the immensely talented 'Super Swede'. A further letter from a Lotus archivist notes that Ronnie Peterson’s Chief mechanic, Eddie Dennis, often drove the Elan to Formula One races to be available for Ronnie to use if he happened to fly in to meetings. The DVLA print out of the owner’s timeline shows the car first registered to Lotus Cars with Ronnie Peterson’s signature and a date stamp of 22nd November 1972. Accompanying this lovely blue Elan is a photograph of it and Ronnie Peterson on the drive of his Maidenhead home. The history file also contains a very large number of invoices dating back to the seventies. Most recent maintenance has included work on the engine and the engine bay certainly looks very impressive. #1001L is an historically important Lotus, partly because of its place in the timeline of Elan production but, realistically, because it was the personal car of one of the most admired drivers in F1 history, the late Ronnie Peterson. 1972 Lotus Elan Plus 2 S ex R.Peterson Iconic Auctioneers Ltd If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1968 Lancia Fulvia HF Rally Car (1600)

This little 1,584cc Fulvia HF (now registered as a Rallye HF) would make a perfect first time entry into the world of historic rallies. Launched at the Geneva Motor Show in 1963, Lancia’s little Fulvia was as intriguing and ambitious as it was innovative, swapping rear-wheel drive for a more advanced front-wheel drive, embracing Lancia's DOHC V4 engine. Starting with a modest 57bhp but evolving to a sturdy 130bhp, its variants, especially the Coupés, gained fame for their rallying prowess. An undeniably underappreciated icon in the history books of Italian automotive successes. The Fulvia marked Lancia’s glorious and victorious return to motorsport, carving a niche in the rallying scene, paving the way for an era of dominance in the World Rally Championship far from the spotlight hogged by its successors – the Stratos, O37 and Delta Integrale. It is often forgotten that it was the Fulvia that earned the distinction of winning Lancia's first World Rally title in 1972. This particular Fulvia was rebuilt as a rally car in 2017 having started its life as a standard 1.3 (1,300cc). It's now powered by a 1,600cc engine fitted with twin-Weber 45 carbs, work-spec cams, Arrow conrods, a balanced crank, Mangoletsi intake manifold and carburettor linkage and a 'Group 4' manifold/free-flow exhaust, recently set up and dyno-tested by Stanton Motorsports. It's a Fulvia HF body (steel construction with aluminium bonnet, boot, and doors) registered as a Rallye HF. The interior is as basic as one would expect, stripped back to save weight and fitted with a roll cage, two Recaro bucket seats, racing harnesses and fire extinguishers. Upon its conversion to rally-spec, the car was maintained by its owner's in-house mechanic, who carried out all repairs, modifications, servicing and pre-event spanner checks. Recent work included stripping the engine and gearbox for check-overs and refurbing with fresh gaskets. Cosmetically, as is to be expected with a competition car, there are some dents and imperfections, however there are no major sightings of rust except for some light surface tarnishing where the paint has chipped. Lancia-based rally cars have traditionally been expensive, however this little Fulvia seems like tremendous value. It’s a well raced and ready-to-go example of Lancia's legendary rally car. 1968 Lancia Fulvia HF Rally Car (1600) DUTTON GARAGE If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1997 BMW M3 Evolution

First introduced in 1992, the E36 generation of the venerable M3 was initially available only in a coupe configuration, with a sedan and convertible version introduced later. These early cars were all fitted with a 5-speed manual transmission and the 3.0 L S50 I6 engine that put out 282 hp in Europe and most other countries. The US version of the car received the downgraded S50B30US engine version, which put out a lesser 240 hp and used single-piece brake rotors rather than floating rotors. Another important difference was in the headlights, as Euro-spec headlights featured glass lenses and projectors, while US-spec headlights used plastic lenses and omitted the superior ellipsoid projectors. The E36 chassis received a refresh for the 1996 model year, and with this update, BMW provided the “Evolution” moniker to help emphasize the performance upgrades the car would receive. This new Evo version was only available to the European market, a move that left many stateside enthusiasts disappointed at the time. Visual updates were slim with the introduction of new wheels, clear indicator lenses, a revised double kidney grill, and the integration of the third brake light into the spoiler. Most importantly, though, these new Evolution models received a much-needed 6-speed manual transmission as well as an upgraded 3.2 L S50 I6 engine, now making 316 hp. This new 3.2L engine provided a healthy and welcome bump in power thanks to an increased compression ratio, lightweight pistons, graphite connecting rods, and a revised exhaust manifold, amongst a host of other upgrades. The US-spec post-facelift version, unfortunately, stayed with the original 240 hp version, still equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission. The fact that the US never received the upgraded version of the E36 left many lusting after what they could not have. Over time, the E36 platform has seen its ups and downs. From its introduction, it received great praise for its phenomenal chassis and handling. Still, over the years, enthusiasts and collectors put it on the back burner as newer and faster offerings arrived on the scene. Lately, though, the E36 M3 has seen a fantastic rise in popularity again as buyers have once again rediscovered the incredible overall driving experience that this generation of M3 provides. In addition, many of today’s younger collectors grew up lusting after the E36 M3, and the time has finally come when they can put one in their garage. The lifting of the import restrictions on the European-only Evolution model provides the US market with long-awaited access to the highly desirable ultimate iteration of the E36 chassis. Overall pricing on Evolution models has steadily climbed over the past 5 years, and we see ample room for continued growth in value. As with any collector car from the 90s, low mileage and proper servicing are paramount with the E36 platform. Many of these cars were driven hard, and if not maintained properly, various mechanical and electrical problems can quickly consume the car and your wallet. In addition, BMW offered the stereotypical color schemes as well as some truly unique and special colors. Finding a low mileage, well-cared-for example in unique colors is crucial to the future collectability of the vehicle. In June 1997, this M3 Evolution Coupe, chassis # WBSBG91060EW39311, was delivered new to Valencia, Spain, in a rare left-hand drive configuration. The car left the factory wearing the stunning Estoril Blue Metallic exterior and an extended leather black buffalo interior. It is reportedly 1 of only 1,799 in this configuration produced. It was also very generously optioned with limited-slip differential, heated seats, a headlight cleaning system, rear sunblind, park distance control, electric sunroof, automatic climate control, front power windows, and a pass-through rear seat. This M3 Evolution would stay with its original owner for most of its life, receiving many years of regular servicing and careful enjoyment. This prized M3 Evolution Coupe changed hands for the first time in 2022 when it was sold to an exceptional Munich-based BMW collection. Rarely used but always admired while within the collector’s care, today, this stunning M3 Evolution is presented with just over 30,000 kilometers. From our research, we found that BMW produced only 1,799 left-hand drive Evolution Coupes in this specification for Europe in 1997, and it is highly unlikely that any significant number of these are in a condition as outstanding as this one. This is a wonderful example of one of the most desirable variants of the E36 generation of M3, finished in one of BMW’s iconic and rare factory paint colors and benefiting from a life of sparing use and extreme care. Upon purchase, the new owner will receive the original owner’s books, the factory toolkit, and an extra pair of keys. EXTERIOR Body And Paint The factory Estoril Blue Metallic paint remains in excellent condition. Paint meter readings were taken of the car, and it appears that most of the exterior is original paint, likely with the exception of the driver’s side fender and part of the driver’s side hood. The paint in these areas matches the rest of the car excellently but does show higher on the meter. There is no evidence of any damage in the past to the car and it is very possible that this could simply be clearcoat rather than paint, but we felt it should be mentioned in the listing. Please see the included paint meter readings in the photo gallery for a better idea. The rest of the exterior has consistent color and luster throughout the entirety of the car. There are a few very minor chips that come with the territory of original paint examples. These are nothing that we feel takes away from the overall outstanding presentation of the car, though. The body remains very straight with no issues to note. Shut lines and body gaps are all tight and consistent and appear as they should. Glass And Trim All the windows appear to be factory-correct with the appropriate BMW logos and the original factory security etchings still in place. The window trim and gaskets are all in excellent condition and are secure and well-aligned. The side rub strips are in excellent shape and the front and rear bumpers are well aligned and clean. The lower side skirts are in good condition. All the lights are clear, clean, and in excellent shape. Wheels The factory wheels are clean, tidy, and free of any curb rash. The lugs show minimal if any wear, and the BMW roundel center caps retain excellent color and finish. Notable Flaws There are a few minor stone chips, largely relegated to the front of the vehicle. This is to be expected with the territory when discussing largely original paint examples and does not take away from the overall fantastic presentation of the car in the slightest. INTERIOR Seats And Surfaces The interior is in excellent and highly original condition. There are some very minor imperfections on the iconic "Vader" style seats, with some very light scratching in high-traffic areas on the driver’s side. The bolsters remain in great condition, and the seat surfaces and back are smooth and clear of any issues. The rear seats appear to have seen minimal if any use over the years. The tricolored stitching on the steering wheels remains tight and clean, with no pulls to note. The carpet is clean and tight with excellent color and fitment. The driver’s side door panel has a few minor faint but visible scuffs on the bottom edge. The parcel shelf carpet has faded a bit with age. The dash remains smooth, with excellent color and no signs of any of the issues that commonly plague these cars. Overall, the highly original interior presents exceptionally well. Functionality And Accessories During our brief testing, it appears that the interior’s mechanical condition aligns wonderfully with its fantastic cosmetic condition. All the gauges, switches, stalks, etc., work as they should with no issues to note. The pixels on the information center are all still present and remain fully legible, a common issue with these cars the next owner will not need to worry about! ENGINE BAY AND TRUNK Engine Bay The engine bay appears in an excellent, clean, and orderly manner. Given its overall tidiness, it appears to have always been professionally maintained. None of the hardware under the hood has noticeable surface rust or oxidation, and the proper stickers and decals are present where they should be. From an exterior perspective, it does not appear that there are any issues, past or present. Trunk Area The trunk carpeting is clean, fits well and has good color. All the plastic trim is in place and shows good fitment and color as well. There is an aftermarket full sized spare tucked in the wheel well. The full fold-out tool set is present with all its correct pieces in place. Underside The underside is clean and dry, showing no signs of any issues, past or present. MECHANICALS Engine The car starts quickly and runs well. It is quiet with no odd noises. The straight six has the trademark BMW turbine smoothness and power. Transmission The transmission shifts easily into all the gears, and the clutch engages well. The throws are longer than found in modern performance cars, but it is still a wonderful gearbox to stir. Brakes And Suspension The car stops straight and quickly. There is some body roll but it is still a well-controlled and enjoyable performer with excellent ride quality. Tires The car wears Michelin Pilot Sports on all four corners and while they have plenty of tread and appear in good condition, the date codes show 2005 and they should be replaced before any extended use is carried out. DRIVING EXPERIENCE This M3 Evolution is a true pleasure to drive. You can instantly tell how well taken care of this example is, and it is just as evident when you get behind the wheel. All of the touch points are smooth and free of wear. The clutch is predictable with a good weight, the shifts are long but still enjoyable. The engine revs incredibly freely and has ample power especially when compared to its US-spec counterparts. The seating position is very BMW and the car’s small size makes it easy to place. 1997 BMW M3 Evolution LBI Limited If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The notice and take down procedure is described here: https://www.speedholics.com/copyright First introduced in 1992, the E36 generation of the venerable M3 was initially available only in a coupe configuration, with a sedan and convertible version introduced later. • 1954 Alfa Romeo 1900L Coupe by Ghia

The 1950s marked a period of important output for Carrozzerria Ghia, as the Turin-based firm bodied or designed a fascinating array of concept cars, one-offs, and unique production models. Among this body of work, the company clothed perhaps two dozen Alfa Romeo 1900 chassis during 1954 and 1955. While these cars were generally built upon the performance-oriented short-wheelbase 1900C chassis, the featured car is one of far fewer 1900 examples built on Alfa Romeo’s long-wheelbase 1900L lungo chassis. Chassis number 01089 is likely the first of at least nine similarly styled cars that were sometimes badged as Ghia Specials, and the only one built on the lungo chassis. With aluminum alloy coachwork designed by the noted Giovanni Savonuzzi, these cars featured curved front bumperettes, bulbous fenders with protruding headlamps, squared wheel-well openings, a wraparound front windscreen that fed into an airy canopy, and delicate rear fender fins. But while the design fits somewhat awkwardly on the short-wheelbase platform, necessitating particularly long front and rear overhangs, it more elegantly complements the lungo chassis, which provides greater aesthetic balance and a smoother ride quality to boot. Dispatched to Ghia in April 1954, the Alfa Romeo was completed with coachwork finished in Bleu Marino and delivered three months later to a buyer in New York. While very little is currently known of the 1900L’s interim history, by 2006 the car was owned by a resident of Sacramento, California, who presented it at the 2006 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Later acquired by a respected dealer on the East Coast, the Alfa Romeo was sold to the current owner in October 2016. Since domiciled in long-term storage, the Ghia Special still presents with character, continuing to benefit from a prior restoration in rosso paint over gray leather. In addition to being equipped with a rare column-mounted five-speed factory gearbox, the Alfa Romeo retains its matching-numbers type 1306 engine, further enriching the car’s authenticity. Ideal for collectors of coach-built Alfa Romeos or enthusiasts of Ghia’s seminal design output of the 1950s, this car would make a strong candidate for touring use, while claiming design provenance worthy of museum display or concours exhibition. 1954 Alfa Romeo 1900L Coupe by Ghia RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1967 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT Veloce 1

Few cars were more successful at combining good looks, practicality, and performance as the Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT. Marrying sharp two-door coupé styling with the firm’s celebrated double overhead-cam engine, the Giorgetto Giugiaro-designed masterpiece became an instant classic upon its launch in 1963, proving as popular with the public as it was with would-be racers. More than 20,000 left Alfa Romeo’s Arese plant, and the recipe was only improved three years later with the arrival of the uprated Giulia Sprint GT Veloce. The changes were subtle, with minor improvements to the exterior brightwork and a revised interior that featured lashings of imitation wood, while the drivetrain was tweaked with a more powerful and tractable 108 horsepower version of the famed 1.6-litre ‘four’ borrowed from the Duetto Spider. The result was a more polished, refined, and quicker machine that instantly won over the world’s press, who put the new car through its paces on the tight, twisting streets linking the picturesque towns and villages of Lake Garda in 1966. The example offered is one of those special Tipo 10536 variants, identifiable by its quadrifoglio badging, revised bumpers, and interior refinements. An early “step-nose” car, it left Alfa Romeo’s Arese plant in 1967 before being registered in Rome in the name of its first owner on 8 June. The original Italian Libretto, which accompanies the car, confirms that the Alfa Romeo has remained in the care of the same family since new. After being disassembled by the original owner, the car eventually passed to his son, on the understanding that it be returned to its former glory. The current owner relished the challenge and commissioned Autofficina Deiana Racing and Autocarrozzeria Evandri Marco to carry out a full restoration in 2021, including a refinish in Giallo Ocra and a full rebuild of its replacement engine, which was fitted to the car in 1987. The interior was also re-trimmed. Invoices totalling €27,607 are available to view on file, in addition to a comprehensive photographic record of the restoration. Today, the Alfa Romeo presents in smart, restored condition, and is ready to be enjoyed and perfected by its next owner. 1967 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT Veloce RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1967-mercedes-benz-230sl-pagoda-w113-automatic

A genuine piece of German automotive design and engineering history, the W113 230SL has become one of the most desirable classic roadsters on the market – and for good reason. This beautifully preserved example is a testament to timeless design, mechanical quality, and driving pleasure. With its low center of gravity, precise steering, and responsive six-cylinder engine, the 230SL offers a surprisingly modern driving feel for a 1960s classic. The automatic transmission makes it an ideal grand tourer – perfect for weekend drives or daily commutes. The 1967 Mercedes-Benz 230SL Pagoda came impressively equipped for its time and still holds its own in terms of comfort, engineering, and practicality. Some of the features this car includes is a 2.3L straight six engine, 4 speed automatic gearbox, independent front and rear suspension, factory removable hardtop finished in the same colour, retractable soft top that folds away nicely under the rear deck and more. This Pagoda is finished in Cavansite Blue with Black and Blue Leather Interior. The paintwork is in great condition and so is the brightwork. The interior beautifully complements the car’s exterior tone. The dashboard features a body-coloured upper fascia, elegant chrome accents, and a perfectly preserved wood trim that stretches across the dash and center console. The Blaupunkt Stereo System sits lovely in the center, flanked by functional climate sliders and period-correct toggle switches. The seats are period correct and the bolsters remain firm, with no sagging or excessive wear. The seat bases provide a comfortable, upright position. The car has benefitted from regular servicing by various Mercedes Benz specialists and the renowned Rodger Edwards of Amersham. As part of its careful preservation, this Pagoda has received new floor sections. The original floors were carefully removed and replaced with OEM-spec steel panels. The boot floor was also replaced. Amongst the history file includes lots of old MoT Certificates, Previous Service Work, Old Invoices, Original Owners Manual, Tax Discs, Current V5 and more. 1967 Mercedes-Benz 230SL Pagoda W113 Automatic Classic Connection If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1989-lancia-delta-hf-integrale-16v-group-a-rally-car

Subject to an extensive three-year build by Ricky Higgs to FIA Tarmac Rally specification (Period J2), this stunning Martini-liveried, Integrale 16v is FIA-papered to December 2034 and ready for its next lucky owner. With their walkover success in the 1988 World Rally Championship, Lancia were very aware that the competition was going to be hot on their heels for the 1989 season and upgrades were required in order to stay ahead of the game. Using the racing logic of the period, it was swiftly decided that more power was the solution and the 16v Integrale quickly took on the field, both literally and figuratively. Launched at the 1989 Geneva Motor Show, the new Integrale’s upgrades and tweaks were alarmingly subtle for such a flamboyant marque. Despite sticking with the 2-litre engine displacement, a raised bonnet centre was required to house the taller 16-valve variant and further visible external changes included wider wheels/tyres and new identity badges on the front and rear. Invisible changes included altering the torque-split to 47/53 front/rear to improve the cars handling balance. The fabulous 2-litre turbocharged Lancia engine was already a powerful, honed performer before it was developed further for the Integrale 16v. Changes included larger fuel-injectors, a more responsive Garrett T3 turbo, a highly efficient intercooler system which enabled the engine to run at high outputs for longer than the 8v without compromising reliability and a more effective fuel feed at high engine speeds. These changes enabled the 16v to generate over 200bhp at 5,500rpm and when combined with a new over-boost system which increased torque to 220lb/ft at 3,000rpm, 0-60mph now took just 5.5 seconds and the little Lancia could nudge 140mph. All these improvements made the road-going version of the Integrale 16v a spirited, engaging, reliable and inherently safe car. On offer here is a fabulous FIA Lancia Delta 16V HF Integrale built to FIA Tarmac Rally specification (Period J2) by the marque expert, Ricky Higgs, over a three-to-four-year period. A standard 16V Integrale road car was sourced as a basis and a £150k+ build commenced to FIA specification. Ricky made numerous trips to Italy to source genuine parts including some ‘factory’ parts. The specification is impressive and is too long to list here but includes: Group A Turbo Factory Induction system Group A ex-factory suspension Group A steering rack 5-speed dog-leg gearbox with new internals Group A brakes Speedline magnesium wheels Beautifully presented in Bianco, it's every inch, the 'poster car' finished in the iconic livery of the Martini drinks company, Lancia's sponsors at the time, and despite being a competition car, the interior reflects the same attention to detail evident everywhere else in the car's preparation. At the end of the build a couple of years ago, FIA papers were issued and are valid until December 31st 2034 (Form Number: GB14200). In December 2025, a pair of new seats and harness were also fitted to the car. Since completion, the car has not been campaigned but it did enjoy some road miles and a shakedown in anger at Llandow where it performed very well. A change in direction for the owner means that this special car is reluctantly on the market, ready for its next lucky owner. Eligible for a variety of top-class events, this Integrale is being offered at a fraction of what it would cost to replicate today and represents fantastic value for money in our opinion. 1989 Lancia Delta HF Integrale 16V 'Group A' Rally Car Iconic Auctioneers Ltd If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer.
