- 1989 Ferrari F40 1
This example was first supplied on 10th May 1989 as a ‘Diretta’ sale to Miss Elisabeth Kawan of Salzburg. Miss Kawan had earned her fame in 1982, being crowned Miss Austria and would later marry Formula One boss and serial entrepreneur Walter Wolf. The car was imported to the UK later that year by Mr Barratt who paid £895,000 for the car at the first peak of their values! Speaking recently he recalled driving the car just after purchase to the Ferrari Owners Club Christmas party in December 1989. Barratt would retain the car for several years, receiving both its 1,000 KM & 10,000 KM services in the UK. The car has been enjoyed regularly by each of its owners, and by 1996, it had covered 28,700 kilometres. The car was later exported to Holland and sold by Ferrari Kroymans who would service the car regularly between 1998 and 2002. During their time servicing the car for its owner, it would see continued regular exercise. The service history documents the mileage and during that four-year period, the car would cover a not inconsiderable 16,500 kilometres. The car spent six months in Germany before purchase by the most recent owner, in Austria once more in 2007. At the time of purchase the car was sent to Michelotto where a major service was carried out including fuel tanks and belts. In the care of the most recent owner, the car has been used more sparingly and as such covered just 4,500 kilometres in the past 15 years. A major service including belts and fuel tanks was carried out in March 2022. Most recently the car has passed through our workshops receiving a discreet carbon ceramic brake upgrade as well as a full gearbox rebuild. These discs and pads neatly sit behind the original wheels in the original callipers and are completely reversible. The original discs accompany the car. This fabulous, wholly usable F40, in desirable non-cat, non-adjust form is available to view at our showrooms immediately. 1989 Ferrari F40 D.K. - 1970 246 GT Dino
Desirable European Version Rare Early “L-Series” 1 of 355 produced, featuring knock off wheels, aluminum door and bonnet skins and carry over features from the 206 Dino like push button trunk latch, early dash, fitted head rest, wooden steering wheel, and more. Numbers Matching Engine Offered with Marcel Massini History Report Previous single ownership of nearly 40 years (1982-2021) Extensive early documentation and service history file. Records dating back from 1979-2013, 2022-23 Recently uncovered from long-term storage Recipient of a 2022-23 extensive Mechanical Service and Cosmetic Freshening The L-series served as the direct successor to the 206 GT and was built from March of 1969 until October of 1970. During this time, only 357 total examples were built, and they are considered by connoisseurs as the “bridge” between the 206 and 246 GTs. The L-Series kept many details from the 206 including, the more purposeful 206-style seats and dash, center-lock knock-off wheels, a deeper passenger foot well with a folding footrest, and numerous other small distinctions. More significantly, the L-series cars featured lightweight alloy doors and deck lids whereas the later M- and E-series cars used heavier all-steel bodies. Chassis 00822 was originally delivered in Giallo Fly paint over Nero vinyl interior to Auto Becker in Dusseldorf, Germany. In the early seventies it was sold to a Dr. from California before passing to its presumably third owner Dr. Hal Dennis of Hillsborough, CA. Some collectors are truly devoted to this family of models, which express Italy, the fifties and carefree living better than a long speech. A brand with such a rich past that Alfa Romeo, so sporty, could only succeed in marketing this small car in coupe, convertible and saloon versions. For all tastes, almost for all budgets, the Giulietta has honoured the glorious past of this Milanese firm. Strangely enough, France is at the origin of the Alfa Romeo company. In 1909, the Italian branch of the Darracq company was for sale, and a group of Italian industrialists took an interest. Not to continue producing these cars whose reputation had spread beyond the Alps, but to produce cars more suited to the Italian market in the midst of a crisis. Thus was created A.L.F.A., which stands for Anonima Lombarda Fabrica Automobili, and which adopted as its emblem the Red Cross on a white background of the city of Milan, and the Visconti Serpent. These beautiful symbols did not bring A.L.F.A. luck at first, because the ‘fabrica’ was put up for sale in the autumn of 1915. And it was a certain engineer by the name of Nicola Romeo who acquired the Portello factory. It will be understood without delay that the true history of Alfa Romeo can begin. From the end of the Great War, Alfa Romeo made horses talk by participating in and winning numerous races. The first drivers to shine in these cars were Sivocci, Campari, Ramponi and Ferrari. The latter, a young beginner named Enzo, would play a key role in Alfa's reputation, as he would race these cars in his already famous Scuderia from 1929 onwards. It was in fact on Alfa bonnets that the first prancing horse emblems would appear. All these events led the public to associate Alfa Romeo with racing, sport and triumph. And the Formula 1 world championship titles won by Farina and Fangio in 1950 and 1951 did nothing to dispel the impression of powerful aggression that emanated from the brand with the cloverleaf. With the Giulietta, Alfa Romeo entered a new area of activity: mass production. Alfa abandoned competition at the end of 1951, covered in laurels, and as the technicians at the Portello factory were steeped in competition, it was not ordinary, anonymous products that would be the fruit of their labour. In 1954, the Giulietta was timidly released, its name a tribute to William Shakespeare and the tragedy that inspired it. The ambiguity of these cars lies in the fact that the name Giulietta corresponded to a 1300 cc engine. Later, the Giulia would have a 1600 engine. However, it became customary to call these cars Giulietta, regardless of their engine. We could talk for hours about Alfa Romeo engines alone, we could write a book about these little mechanical marvels. This brand, which has earned a worldwide reputation in this field, has clearly demonstrated its expertise and talent by producing generations of confidential ‘big’ 6 and 8-cylinder engines. But, most surprisingly, it was equally at ease in the development of this very attractive little four-cylinder aluminium engine with double overhead camshafts (driven by chains), intended for mass production. Note that the combustion chambers of this engine are hemispherical and the spark plugs are central. This engine is above all an Alfa Romeo, a brilliant and noisy piece of precision engineering, with a superb intake noise, that sonorous and characteristic hum that begins when the carburettor body opens fully. Delivered new in France, our Giulia has undergone a complete nut and bolt restoration, in that superb "Blue Celeste" livery and the photos speak for themselves. Used occasionally on sunny weekends, it is now time to find it a new home. - 1996 Chevrolet Corvette C2
When we talk about American Muscle we are talking about the Corvette. Already at the 8th generation by now, but god how much we are fans of the first generations. The C2 Stingray, is an iconic two-seater that captured the hearts of car enthusiasts in the 1960s. With its striking design, powerful engines and innovative features, the Corvette C2 shot into a new era. The roaring engine is the heart of the Corvette. The engine range starts from the 327 cubic inch V8 engine to the 427 cubic inch V8. The C2 Corvette's lightweight body, combined with its powerful engines and agile handling, makes this a true monster on wheels. American innovation? Yes indeed! The C2 was not just about engine performance. Possessing a number of innovative features such as: hidden headlights, independent rear suspension and a removable hardtop roof. The C2 Corvette's sleek, aerodynamic design, with its long, low hood and pointed rear end. This gives the distinctive look that is distinctive from other sports cars of the roaring 60's. Today, the C2 Corvette is still a highly sought-after collector car, because let's face it, who doesn't want to play the bad guy? Ours? One that could no doubt hang on the wall in many a boy's room. The invoices and documentation are present and known. The bodywork on this one is in very good condition. The deliciously roaring eight-cylinder squeezes out 340 throbbing horses. Neatly overhauled and honed with msd ignition and extra air cooling. Also cool a 4 barrel carburetor, nice for the pub. Upon entering the blue leather interior you imagine yourself in some sort of seventh heaven. Are you ready to rumble? - 1988 Audi Quattro (MB) 10-valve
Audi's Quattro is a legend that re-wrote the form book in International Rallying, as well as causing rival manufacturers to rethink their offerings and was, quite literally, a trailblazer. The story began with Audi chassis engineer Jorg Bensinger, who spent a Finnish winter testing the Volkswagen Iltis, a four-wheel drive West German military and forest service vehicle, and found it could outperform all other machines on snow, whatever their type or power output. He put the idea of a 4WD version of the Audi 80 Coupé to the company's hierarchy and, well, you know the rest. The resulting model was launched to great excitement at the 1980 Geneva Salon and then released to European customers later the same year, powered initially by the WR-prefixed, 2,144cc in-line, five-cylinder, 10-valve SOHC unit with turbocharger and intercooler. Whilst the engineering is pure-Teutonic, the styling was overseen by Yorkshireman Martin Smith who was tasked with turning the elegant but mundane Coupé into the distinctive, flared-arched Quattro charger. This was the first time the mass car market had been introduced to the intoxicating combination of turbo power and four-wheel drive, and the results were spectacular. For the 1988 model-year, Audi introduced the most significant changes yet. The 2nd-Generation Quattro was cosmetically little altered but, at its heart, the new Quattro MB had an engine that was 93cc bigger than before at 2226cc. It was fitted with hydraulic instead of solid lifters, compression was increased from the original 7:1 to 8.6:1 and a new KKK K24 turbo replaced the early car’s K26 item. Turbo-boost was reduced from 0.68 bar to 0.56 bar and there was a new electronic ‘wastegate’ control. Although the MB Quattro’s official power output of 200bhp at 5500rpm was unchanged, the new car offered peak torque lower in the rev range: 270lb-ft at 3000rpm instead of 285lb-ft at 3500rpm. The Quattro’s five-speed manual transmission was uprated with a Torsen torque-sensing differential and the brakes were uprated with twin-piston calipers and a larger master cylinder. Production of the MB Quattro continued from August 1987 until July 1989, at which point it was replaced by the 20-valve RR variant, making the MB the rarest iteration. On offer here is a very special, UK-supplied, right-hand drive, Quattro MB that’s showing just one previous registered keeper on the V5 and had only covered 49,960 miles from new at the time of cataloguing. First registered on the 25th August 1988, the car is finished in Nautic Blue and is accompanied by its original service book (12 stamps), marketing material, booklets and previous MOTs. The last service recorded in the booklet was in April 2000 at 49,347 miles so, remarkably, it’s only covered 613 miles during the past 24 years having been cherished in long-term storage for over two decades. In the past couple of years, the Quattro has been thoroughly mechanically recommissioned in order to return to the road and the results of this hard work are clear to see. The car now boasts a current MOT valid until July 2024 and we really do recommend interested parties come along to Sywell Aerodrome to see this example in the metal. To find a rare 'MB' Quattro that shows just one previous registered keeper, has covered less than 50,000 miles, and is fresh to market from long term ownership, is a rare opportunity and this one will surely reward a closer inspection. 1988 Audi Quattro (MB) 10-valve Iconic Auctioneers Ltd If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1999-mercedes-benz-e55-amg
This is our 1999 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG, with only 1,020 original miles in incredible condition. Finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic with a two-tone Exclusive AMG Condor Anthracite / Gray leather interior, this is a highly desired color combination for the US market. The W210 E55 AMG is powered by a 5.4L V8 M113 engine producing 349hp and a monstrous 391lb-ft of torque, launching it to 0-60mph in under 5 seconds. The engine is mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission, delivering an incredibly smooth performance with an insane amount of instant torque available throughout the entire rpm range. Elegantly styled, the 2000 models featured a facelifted design that included slight revisions, most notably AMG sported front and rear bumpers. The suspension is fresh and tight, and the car is dressed with a staggered set of factory 18" Monoblock AMG wheels, wrapped in 245/40 front, and 275/35 rear Michelin Pilot Sport 4S Plus tires. The two-tone Condor Anthracite/Gray AMG Exclusive leather on the interior extends to the door panels and steering wheel, perfectly matching the beautiful silver exterior. The dashboard is also accented by a darker maple veneer wood trim that extends down to the radio surround and center console area, with the interior finished off in black carpeting. Some of the equipment options includes xenon headlights, glass sunroof, heated multi-contour front memory seats, cruise control, automatic climate control, functioning rear electric sunshade, cassette stereo, and a factory upgraded Bose sound system. Additional options include rain-sensing wipers, headlight washer assembly with wipers, auto-dimming mirrors, memory package for seating position and mirrors, rear airbags, anti-theft system, first aid kit, blue heat-insulating glass, AMG styling package, interior lighting package, increase fuel tank capacity, parameter steering, and a 6-disc CD changer mounted in the trunk. The W210 E55 AMG is quickly becoming a very desirable "classic" model. A perfect blend of classic Mercedes lines with modern features and comforts, with a very usable and exciting power band. Although this generation usually suffered from rust issues, this specific example is 100% rust free. Recently serviced, which included new tires and a new mass airflow sensor, this E55 is ready to drive right off the lot. The M113 motor is highly regarded as one of the most reliable examples Mercedes ever produced, this particular one with such low miles is one that can be assured to be enjoyed for many years to come. 1999 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG Mouse Motors LLC If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The Lancia Flaminia Super Sport Zagato is one of the most fascinating Italian grand tourer models of the 1960s – a rare combination of technical sophistication, exclusive design, and racing DNA. The Lancia Flaminia Super Sport 3C 2.8 Zagato offered here is one of only approximately 150 built. The car was imported from Paris to Switzerland in 1989 and was part of the large Heer collection, owned by the notorious former director and credit manager of the Rothschild private bank, Dr. Jürg Heer. In the 1990s, he was one of the most important collectors of classic and rare cars. This beautiful Lancia Flaminia Super Sport Zagato was in its last ownership for over 32 years and is in perfectly maintained, top-quality and very original collector’s condition. The engine and chassis are matching numbers, and many documents are available. A few years ago, a renowned appraiser prepared a valuation report, which attested to this gem’s condition grade of 1-. Due to the small number of units produced and the Zagato bodywork, the Super Sport is now one of the most sought-after classic Lancia models. Rarer and more distinctive than many Ferrari or Maserati models of this era. 1964 Lancia Flaminia Super Sport 3C 2.8 Zagato Lutziger Classic Cars AG If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1972 Jaguar E-type Series III E-Type Restomod
The Series III Jaguar E-type is already a fine Grand Tourer, but this particular example has been extensively upgraded in order to offer even more performance. It has been finished to an extremely high standard and features numerous modifications to ensure that it handles and drives better than ever. Beneath the long bonnet, the V12 engine has been bored out from 5.3 litres to 6.1 and now features fast-road camshafts from renowned engine specialist Rob Beere Racing. JE pistons have been fitted, along with Cometic head gaskets, Jenvey throttle bodies and an Emerald K6 engine management system. An aluminium flywheel was specified and the big V12 drives through a Getrag five-speed gearbox – a popular upgrade among E-type owners and a big improvement over the standard Jaguar four-speed unit. Ancillaries include a high-torque starter motor and uprated alternator, while maintenance is made easier thanks to the presence of a spin-off oil filter. An alloy radiator and electric fans help to keep everything cool, and the engine is fed via an uprated fuel pump. The sports exhaust system features tubular manifolds and was fabricated by well-respected Scottish specialist Classic Fabs. Not only does it help the engine to breath more efficiently, it ensures that this E-type sounds superb. Gold Fosseway 6 Pot front and 4 pot rear brakes have been fitted, rear, as well as Gaz adjustable dampers. Uprated anti-roll bars are used, while the torsion bars have also been uprated and Polybushes have been employed throughout. The handbrake, meanwhile, is now electrically operated. The E-type runs on 16in centre-laced wire wheels, while the bodywork has been debadged, the front bumpers modified and the overriders deleted, and even the front grille has been altered. Inside, the bespoke cabin featured electrically operated leather seats from the Jaguar XK8, and the E-type Series I dashboard has been fitted with magnolia gauges and flush push-buttons on the centre section in place of the original toggle switches. LED lighting has been used throughout. Everywhere you look, the finish on this Jaguar E-type Series III is superb and it really needs to be seen to be fully appreciated. Now being offered for sale by The Classic Motor Hub, this E-Type Restomod is a unique take on this powerful and stylish British Grand Tourer. 1972 Jaguar E-type Series III E-Type Restomod The Classic Motor Hub If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer.
