  • 1965 Shelby Cobra 427 1

One of 23 Comp 427 Cobras, beautifully restored, 3k original miles, original motor/gearbox/diff/body. Highlights of this Cobra One of 23 427 Shelby American Competition Cobras 3,300 mile original with 1966-1969 competition history Original drivetrain and alloy body with documented ownership history History The Shelby Cobra continues to be one of the most revered sports cars of the post war era. Since its release, the Cobra mystique has continuously captivated generations of enthusiasts. Though the small block Ford 289 established the first strike, the Cobra legend became anchored to posterity with the introduction of the commanding 427 – a performance icon that continues to reign as the ultimate example of one of the greatest American sports/competition cars ever constructed. Unlike the earlier 289, the 427 was designed and built from the ground up by top Shelby American experts. Not merely a 289 with a larger motor, the 427 Cobra was a fully developed and specialized performance car, built to impress even the most capable high-performance drivers. The massive 427 featured a large diameter handmade steel frame, wrapped in a handcrafted aluminum body, featuring muscular fenders specially formed to make room for wide tires. The stance, power, and awe-inspiring performance included a now famous Ken Miles run of 0-100-0 test achieved in 13 seconds. But performance car engineering was moving just as quickly as the 427 dominated the scene, and soon after its introduction, production ceased. The move to mid-engine powered cars, the growth of the GT40 program, and the emergence of the profitable Mustang branded GT350 pushed Shelby American in other directions. 427 Cobra production continued through 1966 using both the 427 FE block (a proven winner in Ford NASCAR events) and the 428, but by 1967 the quick-striking Cobra had vanished. Though the 427 was an impressive performance machine, the most desirable Cobras were the factory built, competition-prepped 427 powered legends produced by Shelby American. Not merely a 427 with competition seat belts and race tires, the Competition Cobra was very specifically built. Features included massive Halibrand wheels and tires, a 42-gallon fuel tank, front and rear jacking points, roll bar, remote oil filter, turkey pan air box, vented inner body panels, competition brakes, reinforced suspension, dual aircraft batteries, and a differential oil cooler with electric pumps. In addition to being wickedly fast, these special cars rapidly emptied even well-stocked wallets – costing nearly 50% more than a street 427 and double the price of a new Corvette. This high-priced exclusivity translated into very low production. Just 23 427 Competition Cobras were built by Shelby American. Very few examples remain, fewer still in original condition, with original features, original body, and racing history. CSX3018 is one of those rare 427 Competition Cobras and is considered by several Shelby experts to be the best surviving example of these rare and historically important competition cars. History of CSX3018 Chassis #CSX3018 was billed to Shelby American on January 26, 1965 and assigned a work order on March 1, 1965. On November 18, 1965, an order for a Full Competition 427 Cobra was received from Jack Loftus Ford, Hinsdale, IL. The car was completed 'unpainted with a black interior', filling the request for order on March 8, 1966 and invoiced to Loftus Ford as “1 Competition Model Cobra, CSX3018” at a total cost of $9,650. The buyer, Richard H. Messersmith, Wilmette, IL, traded CSX2525 as partial payment on the order. After picking up the car, Messersmith attended the Carroll Shelby School of High-Performance Driving at Riverside, CA (April-May 1966) to enhance his racing skills. Messersmith would go on to race 3018 in SCCA Chicago region events including races held at Meadowdale, Wilmot Hills, Wisconsin at Lynndale Farms, and Road America. Photos of the car during this period show it competing with 6.5” front and 9.5” rear FIA Halibrand wheels. The formerly black side pipes would later be chrome plated by Messersmith. After a spin out on the grass at Elkhart Lake in 1966, the car was sidelined for mechanical updates and minor repair with historic references confirming minor surface damage to a small portion of the front of the car and an equally small portion of the rear, no frame damage or associated structural repair was required. The car returned for three more seasons of racing (10 races) completing the period racing portion of its history retaining its factory original alloy body, hood, doors, and trunk lid. After amassing just over 3,000 miles on the odometer, Messersmith offered the car for sale in the spring of 1969. His advertisement presented 3018 as a blue with black interior Cobra, licensed and titled with street equipment, in excellent condition for $6,500. Chuck Mollica, Milwaukee, WI purchased the car, disassembling it over several years in an effort to restore it. After Mollica’s passing, in 1976, 3018 was sold to Bill Kemper, Barrington, IL, as a complete project with all pieces and components including the original body, inner panels, fuel tank, gauges, engine, transmission, rear end, and interior pieces including the seats. By the 1990s, 3018 had been comprehensively restored and was featured at the 1995 SAAC-20, Atlanta, GA show finished in Guardsman Blue with 7.5”/9.5” Halibrand wheels, a chrome roll bar, chrome quick jacks, and black side pipes. The car received a Silver Award in the Concours Cobra class and was later offered for sale in 2018 when it was advertised and promoted with just over 3,000 original miles retaining all the original Competition Cobra components and features. Current presentation Today CSX3018 presents as an awe-inspiring example of Shelby American history. With the vast majority of the original 23 Competition Cobras sacrificed to the rigors of racing or welded back together after various shunts, 3018 remains a remarkable statement combining originality and restoration artistry. Every noted Shelby number is correct including the hood and trunk latch (both stamped with 3018) and the door hinges, while not visible, also similarly stamped. The traditional Guardsman Blue paint is excellent throughout, accentuating the curves and undulations of the original 427 aluminum bodywork. Reports and restoration accounts accompanying the car reference the alloy body work performed on 3018 when it was restored in the 1990s. These letters confirm that the original aluminum body has been retained and restored. The exterior trim, original grille, polished aluminum fuel filler, side pipes, and original quick jacks deliver refreshingly correct and historically accurate Competition Cobra features. The lights, lenses, and emblems are in excellent condition while the correctly finished Halibrand wheels and raw cast knockoffs with safety wires contribute to the perfect stance. The interior has been faithfully depicted featuring leather seating surfaces correctly contoured with proper pleat lines and correct padding. Black carpeting and black door panels continue the theme while a chrome plated fire extinguisher completes the competition details. Further notable items include the original speedometer indicating 3,338 original miles, the original center zipper black tonneau cover, original black top, and the original Triplex factory windshield and glass. A set of plexiglass competition screens are currently fitted to the car. The dashboard and instruments are properly arrayed with correct instrumentation displaying beautiful numeric details and chrome surrounds. The original wood-rimmed Shelby steering wheel exhibits a handsome warm patina proudly displaying the Cobra center emblem. Under the hood, the 427 engine is date coded January 5, 1965 and features a factory correct 4bbl carburetor with “turkey pan” carburetor. Correctly finished details throughout include chrome plated valve covers with competition decals, painted surge tank, and raw aluminum inner fender panels. The engine compartment and powerful engine display correct finishes including the originally stamped frame member and chassis plate, both of which bear the CSX3018 number. The trunk is correctly finished also featuring correct aluminum inner body panels, rivets, and correct hardware. The underside of the car is exemplary in finish and detail with beautifully prepared correct components consistent with Shelby American original construction methods and reflective of the indicated low miles. This Cobra is accompanied by an impossibly rare lightweight 4-bbl magnesium intake manifold, the original standard height Triplex etched windshield and chrome plated frame with plexiglass Cobra branded wind deflectors, the original black convertible top, the original black tonneau cover, a spare tachometer, and spare electrical components. Also included are copies of factory documentation, memorandums, and diagrams describing 427 Competition Cobra specifications, a copy of the original order form for CSX3018, and copies of service invoices under prior ownership. This beautifully restored 427 Cobra is documented in the Shelby American World Registry, defining the ownership spanning more than half a century. Remarkably original and one of 23 factory-built Competition cars, this 427 Cobra is sure to be welcomed at any major concours, competition event, or prominent National Cobra gatherings. Unprecedented for originality and documented history, this 427 Cobra continues to strike with precision as a highly desirable example from an unrepeatable period of Shelby American history. 1965 Shelby Cobra 427 Fantasy Junction If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. Maserati has a big name today, these types of models are the reason that Maserati deserves grandeur. The Ghibli, named after a warm air flow, and we now understand that here. When you cruise by car it feels like you are being taken on a magic carpet, all the space around you and a great force moving you forward. The sound of this Ghibli is exactly what you want from a classic eight-cylinder. There are a lot of things besides that that make the car great. At the time, the Ghibli was supplied with a ZF gearbox as standard. That piece of German technology ensures that you have the best of both worlds. The carriage is as Italian as can be, Giorgetto Giugaro designed the car for Ghia in his younger years. He then founded his own design house and continued with the Iso Grifo and De Tomaso Mangusta, not the least of which are cars. This Maserati Ghibli was originally delivered in Belgium. A matching numbers car, factory correct in Celeste Chiaro, impressive documentation and also the early Ghibli with the beautiful 4.7 block. Investment-wise exactly what you want. Between 2015 and 2018 they restored the Nut & Bolt car. The car is technically and optically in fantastic condition, and the interior is even completely original. The great thing about a Ghibli dashboard? A hundred buttons that no one knows what they are for, but everything works in this car. This sixties supercar is waiting for a new owner who enjoys long, comfortable rides with air conditioning. Will we see you soon? • 1996 Ferrari F50 1

The Ferrari F50 is widely considered to be one of Maranello’s most expressive modern hypercars, combining 1950s-style aesthetics with competition-developed performance technologies. Starting with a lightweight carbon fiber tub, Pininfarina mounted curvaceous new coachwork molded from carbon fiber, Kevlar, and Nomex honeycomb. The cockpit could be completed with either a removable soft top or a separate hard top stored in an accompanying road case, which allowed the F50 to strike the pose of a barchetta or berlinetta, encapsulating the best of both worlds. A new naturally aspirated 4.7-liter V-12 was dropped into this spectacular marriage of body and chassis in a mid-rear architecture that ensured optimal weight distribution. The type F130B engine began life in Ferrari’s 1992 Formula One car before undergoing further development in the 4-liter 333 SP sports car, which won numerous driver’s and constructor’s championships in IMSA GT and FIA sports car racing. With an enlarged displacement of 4.7 liters and yet detuned for more reasonable revving and tractable road manners, the new high-compression V-12 developed 513 horsepower and 347 pound-feet of torque, capable of launching the F50 to 60 mph from standstill in just 3.6 seconds, while achieving a top speed of 202 mph. Stopping power was provided by Brembo brakes with huge rotors (14 inches in front and 13.2 inches at the rear) anchored by aluminum pistons. Although the F50 abounded in Formula One-specification equipment, from the racing-style fuel bladder to the LCD dashboard instruments, the model was still appointed with creature comforts such as leather-trimmed seats, air conditioning, and adjustable ride height. More refined than the brutal F40, yet not as cossetting as contemporaries such as the McLaren F1, the F50 was a difficult car to pigeonhole; this was a machine built for pure experience, rather than the pursuit of any specific, granular performance benchmark. Writing for their June 1996 issue, the editors of Motor Trend summed up the F50 thusly: “All but devoid of body roll and pitch, the F50 has the immediate feel of a full-race go-kart, with not a gram of fat in its physique-just sinewy, instantaneous response. This power-hungry Ferrari gives its lucky driver a sense of Master-of-the-Universe-type control. Total omnipotence-without an in-depth background check. Cool.” Built from 1995 through 1997, the breathtaking F50 was earmarked for an official production cap of only 349 examples, ensuring a rarity that instantly established the model as a bona fide collectible. The F50 remains a favorite of marque-focused collectors, often serving as the centerpiece of modern Ferrari collections, and as a critical component of the illustrious “Big Five” hypercar portfolio that is relished by dedicated Maranello enthusiasts today. AN F50 IN MONACO This fabulous F50 claims fastidious single ownership by a Monaco-based collector for 13 years prior to a period of care by one of the world’s foremost Ferrari specialists, resulting in a highly desirable example. As confirmed by its production plate, chassis number 106400 is the 182nd example built, and in July 1996 the car was issued a manufacturer’s certificate of origin (a copy of which is on file). According to a deep file of documentation that includes former registrations, bills of sale, a Marcel Massini history report, and a Ferrari Classiche Red Book and corresponding Certificate of Authenticity, this beautiful European-specification F50 completed assembly in July 1996, finished in Rosso Corsa over a Nero leather interior with red seat inserts. Retailed through the well-known preferred distributor Garage Francorchamps in Belgium, the Ferrari was immediately sold to a local enthusiast who relocated to Monaco in 1999. Over the following nine years the car was regularly serviced by marque dealer Groupe Cavallari’s respected Monaco Motors. In early 2010 the owner sold the F50 to DK Engineering, the highly respected Ferrari specialist in the UK, and DK continued to intermittently service the car over the next four years. In January 2015 the Ferrari was sold to the consignor, who became the car’s fourth private owner. Six months later, the F50 was issued a Red Book from Ferrari Classiche that authenticates the continued presence of the matching-numbers chassis, engine, and transaxle, as well as its original body, ensuring that this F50 retains a high degree of originality. Offered from nearly 10 years of consistent care within the Dare to Dream Collection, chassis number 106400 displayed 20,910 kilometers (~12,993 miles) at time of cataloguing, and it is desirably accompanied by the soft top in the proper canvas bag, factory-issued flight case for the hard top, and owner’s manuals. This beautifully presented, mid-production F50 would make an exquisite addition to any sporting collection, particularly suited to collectors pining to fill a gap in their assemblage of Ferrari’s lauded “Big Five” modern hypercars. 1996 Ferrari F50 RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1977-ferrari-dino-208-gt4

The Dino 308 GT/4, presented in 1973, was the first series built Ferrari equipped with a 8-cylinder engine. Before that, Ferrari used exclusively 6- and 12-cylinder engines. The robust and very revvy little engine was used in a variety of models for many years. In November 1974, the 208 GT/4 was presented, with the smallest V8 engine then available from any brand. This model was initially sold only in Italy to avoid heavy taxes for cars with more than two litres engine capacity. Only 840 examples of the type were built between 1974 and 1980. The early history of the coupé offered is not known. The Dino was taken over by an enthusiast in 2014 who, over the following two years, had the car restored and overhauled. In 2018 the Ferrari was eventually imported into and registered in Switzerland. In March 2020, the little sportster was taken over by the vendor who has since covered only 2’000 kilometres with it. Now this rare Ferrari is in good to very good condition and will be sold with the last Veteran MOT from August 2024. 1977 Ferrari Dino 208 GT/4 Oldtimer Galerie International GmbH If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. Not to be confused with a dealer-modified example, this car left the ‘works’ with a high-compression engine, close-ratio gearbox, polished and ported head and in true ‘wolf in sheep’s clothing’ style, it wore cream over red from birth and was fitted with an E-type steering wheel. • 1964-jaguar-e-type-series-2

Finished just as you see it today, in Opalescent Silver Blue over a Dark Blue leather interior, this 3.8-Litre Fixed Head Coupe was completed by Jaguar on February 12, 1964. Immediately dispatched to Jaguar’s distributor in New York it was and subsequently sold to a leasing company. The car was shipped west to California where it was purchased by a gentleman residing in Manhattan Beach in the mid-1960s, who would go on to own the car for over five decades, only parting with it when selling to the consignor in 2015, also a Los Angeles resident. Having been in static storage for approximately fifteen years before the current owner’s purchase, it was decided that the E-Type would be fully restored to its as-delivered specification. Restored by the consignor and Joe Cano, a friend who works as a restorer, over a period of ten years as a labor of love, no stone was left unturned in returning the car to as it was when it left the factory. Numerous invoices accounting for this are available in the history file. Finished in Primrose Yellow when purchased by the consignor, it was returned to its original colors scheme of Opalescent Silver Blue over Dark Blue leather, and the work was completed in 2024. Since the completion of the restoration, the E-Type has accrued minimal milage since and it presents in beautiful condition throughout, as a spectacular example of Jaguar’s most iconic automobile. Confirmed to retain its original chassis, cylinder head, engine block, gearbox, and bodywork by the accompanying Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate, this would be a fabulous E-Type to use and enjoy as its manufacturers intended. 1964 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1992 Ferrari 348 TB

The Ferrari 348 TB offered here was delivered in the outstanding color combination Rosso Corsa and light brown leather with black in June 1992 by the then Ferrari dealer Broder in Triesen to the first owner in the St. Gallen area. The car was always serviced by the last owner at the relevant Ferrari specialists, regardless of the cost, and the well-known weak point of the sticky soft-touch switches and handles, for example, was also repaired. With 43,000 km, this 348 TB is in absolutely original and well-maintained collector’s condition, freshly veteran-tested. The on-board folder with all documents, neatly kept service booklet, technical manual and exhaust maintenance document as well as the leather case with on-board tools are present. As a descendant of the 328 GTB, the 348 TB was actually a completely new car that represented a reinterpretation of the 2-seater V8 mid-engined Berlinetta. The bodywork combined design details of the Testarossa – along the sides – with some of the classic models of the past (such as the front-rear set-up reminiscent of the 375 MM). The Ferrari 348 TB was built from 1989 to 1993. 1992 Ferrari 348 TB Lutziger Classic Cars AG If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1982 Maserati Merak SS

Arguably the most civilised, not to mention usable, of the 70s crop of Italian supercars, Maserati’s stunning mid-engined Merak combined a powerful V6 engine with the practicality of occasional rear seats and a decent-sized boot. Sharing its basic architecture and floorpan with the V8-powered Bora, the Merak was similarly penned by the talented Giorgetto Giugiaro’s Ital Design studio in Turin, but instead of the Bora’s rear clamshell, there was a flat decklid and novel flying buttress arrangement. In a break with tradition, the new Merak was named after a star in the Plough constellation and saw the greatest influence of the Modenese firm’s new relationship with Citroën yet, particularly the 90-degree V6 engine, a unit Maserati originally engineered for the SM. As used in the Merak, the Tipo C114 V6 was bored out from 2,670cc to 2,965cc greatly improving both torque and flexibility. With twin overhead camshafts per bank and fed by triple Weber 42 DCNF carburettors, the alloy V6’s 190 horses were delivered to the rear wheels through the SM’s 5-speed transaxle, while the brakes (discs all round) also used an adaptation of Citroën’s patented hydraulic power-operated system. The interior was typical of Italian exotics from the era, with low-slung seats and plenty of luxury features, while the compact V6 engine allowed a surprising amount of rear passenger space - even the usual Italian offset driving position was largely overcome thanks to a fully adjustable steering wheel and decent seat travel. Competition from Ferrari's new Dino V8 prompted the introduction of a more powerful and lightweight version - the Merak SS (Tipo AM122/A) with 220bhp engine and revised interior - for 1975, ZF transmission being adopted shortly after. The SS was distinguished by a black grille between the pop-up headlights, a Maserati-designed upper fascia with round instruments and a four-spoke steering wheel replaced the previous SM-derived interior. Later cars (and RHD examples) were bestowed with the full driver-oriented dashboard and three-spoke padded steering wheel from the Bora. 1982 Maserati Merak SS Iconic Auctioneers Ltd If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1964 Lamborghini 350 GT

Lamborghini’s first production car, the 350 GT, was the brainchild of two of Italy’s most illustrious automotive luminaries. With an engine designed by Giotto Bizzarrini, fresh from Ferrari, and a chassis engineered by Gian Paolo Dallara, the 350 GT needed only Touring’s Superleggera bodywork to be worthy of Ferruccio Lamborghini’s vision. When the production-spec 350 GT debuted at the Geneva International Motor Show in March 1964, it was to great acclaim. In all, it is thought that around 120 examples of the 350 GT were built before the model was succeeded by the 400 GT 2+2 in 1966. This 350 GT was among the special early examples fitted with aluminum bodywork. It is said to be the 12th Lamborghini ever built and first two-seater 350 GT. Sold new to Garage Foitek in Zurich on 15 January 1965, chassis 0114 was finished in Blue Tigullio over a Senape leather interior. In 1974 it was exported to the United States, where it would stay with its next owner for two years. Richard Rechter of Bloomington, Indiana, then acquired the 350 GT, and he would remain its custodian for 43 years, after which the car entered the collection of Jean Guikas. The car received a cosmetic and mechanical overhaul from 2017 to 2019, with invoices on file from Automotive FantomWorks in Norfolk, Virginia totalling nearly $90,000. For driver comfort, the seats were rebuilt, re-covered, and moved rearward by two-and-a-quarter inches. The engine was removed and resealed, and the cylinder heads rebuilt with new guides, seats, timing chains, and valves, with work also carried out on the carburetors and suspension. Acquired by the consignor from the Guikas collection in 2021, the 350 GT has been refurbished to the highest possible standard by the current owner, a longtime Lamborghini collector with Italian roots, whose family has restored various significant Lamborghinis over the years, and which claims to own one of the first Espadas produced, said to have been delivered to them by Ferrucio Lamborghini himself in 1968. In 2022, the consignor shipped the car to Italy to be fully stripped and repainted in its factory-correct color of Blue Tigullio by the same expert craftsmen who do work for Lamborghini Polo Storico, the automaker’s inhouse classic center. Other cosmetic components and details were also refurbished to factory specifications, including the chrome and trunk carpeting. In 2023, marque experts performed further mechanical work to bring the engine up to pristine condition and excellent working order. Service invoices totaling around €73,000 are available for review. Given its rare aluminum bodywork, known history, and superb condition resulting from the obsessive care of its meticulous owners past and present, this stunning 350 GT is undoubtedly among the finest in the world, ready to be fully enjoyed and continually cherished. 1964 Lamborghini 350 GT RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The notice and take down procedure is described here: https://www.speedholics.com/copyright Lamborghini’s first production car, the 350 GT, was the brainchild of two of Italy’s most illustrious automotive luminaries. After 17 years in production, Lamborghini’s iconic Countach finally made way for the Diablo, a car that moved the marque decisively into a new era. Unveiled at Monaco in January 1990, it was faster, more advanced and more expensive than any Lamborghini that had come before it, yet retained the dramatic presence for which the company had become famous. Styled by Marcello Gandini, whose previous work included the Miura and Countach, the Diablo combined the visual theatre expected of Sant’Agata with genuine progress in engineering, refinement and usability. The model introduced a new level of sophistication to the Lamborghini formula. Carbon fibre composite panels, developments in suspension design and the adoption of fuel injection for the 48-valve V12 all marked a significant step forward. The platform was conceived with future developments in mind, including four-wheel drive, and Lamborghini’s 5.7-litre V12 delivered performance that comfortably moved beyond the Countach. Over the course of its life the Diablo evolved steadily, but it was the arrival of Audi ownership in 1998 that brought the most comprehensive revision. The result was the Diablo 6.0 VT, with fixed headlamps, reworked styling, numerous under-skin improvements and the enlarged 6.0-litre V12, creating what many regard as the definitive version of the model. Finished in Nero Pegaso over a classically dramatic Diablo interior in Nero Pegaso leather with Grigio inserts, the example offered here was first registered in Switzerland and supplied by Lamborghini Porrentruy. Its early life appears to have been one of regular use and proper maintenance, supported by service history from the supplying dealer and other specialists. Recorded servicing includes Lamborghini Porrentruy at 2,824km in September 2000, 12,803km in May 2001 and 36,733km in September 2002, together with work by P3 Automobiles of Cannes in August 2001 and Garage Remsa of Sion in 2007 at 45,100km. It is clearly a car that was used as intended in period, covering mileage across its early years rather than being placed immediately into static storage. The Diablo was brought to the UK in 2012 and has remained here since. It was serviced by Rardley Motors at 46,077km in October 2012 and appears to have seen only minimal use thereafter. Since arriving in the UK it has had just three keepers, before changing hands again in 2022 when it was the subject of extensive servicing by SB Racing at 46,088km. Today the car is accompanied by its owner’s handbook, service book and a history file detailing recent expenditure. Works in 2022 included a full service, replacement of the notorious sticky switches, four new Pirelli P Zero Asimmetrico tyres and further associated sundry items, all helping bring the car to the presentation and standard seen today. This is an appealing example of the ultimate Diablo, a car with clear early use, sensible later stewardship and supporting history from new. Rarely does a model better encapsulate the spirit of the late-1990s and early-2000s supercar era, and this 6.0 VT offers an opportunity to acquire one of Lamborghini’s most significant modern classics in a form that is both highly usable and eminently collectible. 2000 Lamborghini Diablo VT Iconic Auctioneers Ltd If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. We are thrilled to showcase this remarkable 1961 Mercedes 190SL RHD, elegantly finished in DB050 White with a striking Red Leather interior. This vehicle holds a unique history, having been previously owned by Olympic Studios in London, renowned in the 1960s as one of the premier recording studios. It hosted legendary artists such as Jimi Hendrix, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Ella Fitzgerald, and Queen, among many others. It is said that the keys to this car were entrusted to the esteemed Dame Shirley Bassey during her visit to London while recording her iconic album "I Am What I Am." More recently, Hemmels discovered the car in the United States, where it was last owned by Tim Hauser of Manhattan Transfer. The vehicle was then transported back to the UK, where Hemmels meticulously restored it to their exacting "Neugeboren" standards, effectively rendering it 'like new.' Since the restoration's completion, the car has only been driven a modest 196 miles and is now ready for its next owner. Upon finishing the restoration, Hemmels had the honor of presenting the completed 190SL to Dame Shirley Bassey at a prestigious dinner in Monaco, as captured in the accompanying photographs. Additionally, it is important to highlight that the RHD 190SL is a rare find, with only about 1,000 units ever produced in this configuration, further enhancing its appeal. 1961 Mercedes-Benz 190 Convertible SL Hemmels Vault If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer.
