- 1987-ferrari-328-gts
It’s 1985. Ferrari unveils the successor to the beloved 308 – and does so with flair. The 328 is a carefully considered evolution: a car that strikes the perfect balance between classic lines and modern reliability. More power, increased displacement, a sharper chassis, and that same irresistible presence. The 328 is the final model in Ferrari’s transverse V8 generation to feature a five-speed manual gearbox – before the switch to fuel injection, paddle shifters, and electronic driver aids. Pure, unfiltered, and authentic. The 328 GTS was born in an era when the driver was still in full control. Every gear shift was a conscious decision. No filters, no electronics between you and the machine. Just you, a gated shifter, and the glorious roar of the 3.2-litre V8 behind you. Our 328? It’s one of a kind. Delivered new in the Netherlands by Kroymans Ferrari in Hilversum – the original dealer sticker still graces the rear bumper. Finished in iconic Rosso Corsa with a Tan leather interior – a combination to make any enthusiast’s heart race. Mileage? Just 111,800 km. Matching numbers and, of course, a manual gearbox. Driving it is an experience in itself: the click-clack of the metal shift gate, the eagerness of the V8 at higher revs, the way the steering tells you what the front wheels are thinking – this isn’t just driving, it’s how driving was meant to be. In a world full of turbos, screens, and driver assists – this is your escape. Your return to a time when a Ferrari felt like a living, breathing thing. Looking for an investment? An icon? Or simply the most beautiful 1980s Ferrari with Dutch heritage? This is your chance. - 1967-jaguar-xkss-replica-by-lynx
History of the Jaguar XKSS Among the most beautiful automobiles ever conceived and crafted, the Jaguar XKSS continues to reign as one of the most desirable sports cars of the modern performance era. The XKSS arrived in 1957 as Jaguar converted twenty-five remaining racing D-Types (then under construction) into road-going configuration. This conversion, a requirement to compete in the North American SCCA racing series, proved fortuitous for motoring enthusiasts. By adding a full-width glass windscreen, bumpers, passenger door, and a host of other detailed finishing elements, these twenty-five cars would serve as ambassadors to Jaguar’s largest and growing export market – North America. Yet the excitement for these new cars would end abruptly with a grave turn of events; a devastating fire at the Jaguar factory resulting in the loss of the entire production line, while eviscerating nine of these exceptional and unique factory cars. Only sixteen of the original cars survived. Over the years, particularly as values for the remaining sixteen cars have escalated into the millions, much lore has transpired regarding the nine vanquished cars, adding further to the mystique of these beautiful Jaguars. History of the Lynx Engineering XKSS In 1968 a group of dedicated Sussex based motorsports enthusiasts established Lynx Engineering, an establishment specializing in British race cars. By 1972 Lynx team members became intrigued by the concept of reviving vintage Jaguars. They would become one of the first companies to construct accurate recreations of the Jaguar D-Type, C-Type, and E-Type Lightweight, and as presented in this example; the iconic XKSS. With many of the craftsmen from the original period still alive and eager to apply their artistry to such projects, Lynx was able to employ original craftspeople, factory methods, and construction techniques identical to the original designs, with results that accurately mirrored original examples including cleverly engineered improvements to the original design. Artisans worked to not only achieve the beauty and excellence in the recreations, but also worked concurrently on restoration projects, applying their experience and accuracy to each of their Lynx offerings yielding exceptional cars that honor these legends of beauty and performance. History of this Lynx XKSS This particular Lynx XKSS is the last of 18 XKSS models produced by Lynx Engineering. Specially built for the owner of Lynx Engineering, Frank Berger, the car was presented for his personal use, handcrafted to the finest specifications by the capable Lynx staff. As the singular and penultimate example of this final series XKSS, this final iteration benefits from all the improvements achieved during the production of these fine cars. This handmade Lynx XKSS was assembled using authentic Jaguar components, drivetrain, and titled using the original number from a Jaguar chassis. The handcrafted 16 swg aluminum monocoque tub, and riveted bodywork were carefully measured, and assembled to form the basis for this final XKSS. In addition to the chassis component construction, the front frame was upgraded with Reynolds tubing to improve structural rigidity. Once the center body section was completed, alloy front and rear sections were formed and fitted with correctly replicated XKSS details including a laminated safety glass wraparound windscreen with a polished 16 swg aluminum perimeter frame, covered headlights, original specification luggage rack, and correct side exhaust. The XK series 3.8L in-line six-cylinder engine was built with 8.75:1 compression, semi-competition camshaft, lightened and balanced crankshaft, and outfitted with triple dual-throat Weber carburetors fitted to a gas flowed Lynx Weber intake manifold. The robust engine was paired to a Jaguar full synchro four-speed gearbox and independent rear suspension with inboard rear disc brakes. The front suspension was paired with multi-piston disc brakes, and all four corners were outfitted with 16-inch Dunlop peg-drive alloy wheels. Though every effort was made to create the most accurate replica of the original XKSS, Lynx Engineering updated this car with important features to improve the driving experience, including, extended footwells for longer leg comfort, improved braking, modern engine cooling via a high efficiency radiator, and a more robust 285hp engine. Under current ownership this car has been thoughtfully maintained and updated with improvements that greatly enhance the driving experience. In 2024, Vintage Auto Services, Oakland, CA removed the engine from the car to replace the heat insulation. New high performance bonded fiberglass heat insulation sheet was installed on the footwell areas and cowl, and the exhaust headers were wrapped with heat insulating fiberglass. In 2025, the clutch hydraulics were serviced including a new clutch master and slave cylinder, new 36mm carburetor chokes installed, all three carbs tuned and tested, and new oil cooler hose installed using 12AN fittings. Also in 2025, the car returned to the shop for a new set of camshafts with cam settings paired to the Weber carburetors including 145 main jets, 65 FB idle jets, and carburetor idle mixture adjustment. In August 2025 a new speedometer cable was installed and an oil and filter change performed using synthetic oil. Current Condition Exemplary in every aspect, this Lynx XKSS is beautifully finished with smooth and glossy British Racing Green paint beautifully applied to the hand formed alloy body panels. The legendary form and superb craftsmanship are impressive not only for their original appearance but for the high level of construction and exacting standards achieved in this, the last Lynx XKSS built. The bright work and polished accessories are beautifully presented and the ‘ready to pounce’ stance is perfectly perched on the alloy D-Type Dunlop wheels and correctly specified Vredestain Sprint Classic tires. The impressive, shrouded alloy side exhaust is positioned against the curvaceous alloy body, delivering a memorable juxtaposition of power and grace. Period correct details include leather bonnet latches, lever arm locks, hood script lettering, Monza fuel filler, and aircraft inspired riveted body panels. The interior is accurately rendered with attention to detail consistent with the original XKSS, but allowing for safety, greater legroom, and yet still retaining all the charm of the incomparable original. As inspired on the exterior, the use of aircraft construction methods in the raw aluminum monocoque are revealed throughout the riveted floor and welded lap fold construction of the interior. The black leather seats have been formed to allow more driver and passenger space, along with a larger foot box area and slightly reduced diameter wood and aluminum steering wheel. Black dial Smith instruments are accurately arrayed with the controls, switches, and key features easily at hand. Other features include a polished aluminum 4-speed manual switchgear, chrome plated hand brake and lightweight construction doors. Accessing the rear spare tire compartment, the hand formed tailgate drops to position revealing a full-sized spare wheel captured by a proper leather strap fixed into position beneath the accessory rack. Virtually every aspect of the construction is honest, authentic, and reflective of the original intent and design Jaguar envisioned for these rare road cars. Under the hood resides a well-equipped 3.8 Liter Jaguar E-Type engine, enhanced by a beautifully polished twin cam head and triple Weber carburetors featuring a specially constructed Lynx Engineering polished intake manifold, Weber carburetors, and screened polished air horns. The engine compartment is fitted with a polished aluminum water tank, fiberglass wrapped tubular exhaust headers, handmade riveted bulkhead construction, and other delightful mechanical details, completing the look of this very capable XKSS. The underside of the car also features beautifully finished components, superlative construction, and mechanical integrity consistent with just 1,215 miles indicated on the odometer. With the engine cranked and fuel primed, the mighty twin-cam kicks off with a bark and settles into a smooth idle. Driving position is well laid out, low to the ground, yet the driving position commands views of all corners of the undulating fenders. And while some time is required to familiarize oneself with the operational features, within a short period, the driver becomes unified with the car. Shifting is easy through the Jaguar 4-speed synchromesh transmission with power coming on progressively from the 285hp engine benefiting from the recently installed fresh cams which come on strong at higher revs. Cornering is delightful at every turn from lush mountain roads to sweeping higher speed roadways where the independent suspension and fantastic brakes can truly show their capability. Overall, the ride engineering is impressive, engaging, and unforgettable. This Lynx Engineering XKSS delivers undeniable pride of ownership and superlative driving enjoyment at a fraction of the cost of the impossibly rare and coveted museum bound originals. Constructed by a cadre of world renown fabricators to exacting standards, this, the final Lynx XKSS built, honors the lineage of these multi-million-dollar cars heralding their innovative engineering and honoring their well-earned legacy as one of the greatest sports cars ever built 1967 Jaguar XKSS replica by Lynx Fantasy Junction If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The notice and take down procedure is described here: https://www.speedholics.com/copyright History of the Jaguar XKSS Among the most beautiful automobiles ever conceived and crafted, the Jaguar XKSS continues to reign as one of the most desirable sports cars of the modern performance era. At the heart of this success stood the Lancia Delta, one of the most successful rally cars of all time. Between 1987 and 1992, the Delta won the World Rally Championship for manufacturers six consecutive times — a record that still stands. In 1991, Lancia introduced the Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione I, a street-legal version of the rally car, developed for homologation purposes and engineered with competition in mind. The Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione I was developed to meet Group A homologation standards and marked the peak of Lancia’s WRC dominance. This model featured a turbocharged 2.0L 16-valve engine producing approx. 210 hp, permanent four-wheel drive, and advanced suspension geometry for razor-sharp handling. Known as the “Evo I” this version featured significant upgrades over its predecessors. It retained the 2.0-litre 16-valve turbocharged engine, producing around 210 horsepower and 298 Nm of torque. Power was sent to all four wheels via a sophisticated permanent four-wheel-drive system with a central viscous coupling and a Torsen rear differential — providing excellent traction on any surface. The Evo I could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just under six seconds, making it one of the fastest hot hatches of its time. The chassis and bodywork were also extensively revised. The track was widened front and rear, the suspension geometry was improved, and the body featured flared wheel arches to accommodate wider tires. The result was not just better handling, but also a more aggressive, purposeful look. A large roof spoiler and functional air intakes emphasized the car’s motorsport pedigree. Today, the Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione I is a sought-after collector’s car. Its combination of motorsport heritage, raw performance, and distinctive styling makes it a true icon. 1991 Lancia Delta HF Integrale EVO I Very Superior Old Cars If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1985 Ferrari 288 GTO
1 of the Most Documented 288 GTO's on the Planet. 2-Red Book Classiche's One of the Worlds Best 288 GTO Examples 2-Registered Owners 1 of the most documented 288's on the planet Paperwork back to new 2- Red Book Classiche's One of 2 288's Certified at the Factory Copy of Original Sales Contract from Charles Pozzi Copy of Original PDI Copies of service records back to 1986 Full Major service in 2023 at the Factory in Modena The 288 was born out of a vision to go FIA “Group B” racing. The 308 GTB was the basis for the 288. With Ferrari being under the Fiat umbrella during this time, Enzo was disappointed with the products that were coming out of Ferrari. Unfortunately the “Group B,” class was canceled in 1987 before the car was completed, but Enzo pressed on anyway. He enlisted the help of some of the engineers from Lanica to help turn the 308 GTB into a Group B racer with no limits. In order to have cars, “homologated,” to go racing, the manufacturer had to produce a certain amount of cars. They produced 272 288 GTO's in total which is the fewest amount of all of the super cars. If it wasn't for the 288 GTO, there wouldn't be an F40 and there wouldn't be an F50. The 288 GTO was priced at $85,000 new. The 2 8 8 GTO is one of the most collectible modern super cars and it bears the, “GTO,” badge. The 288 GTO was born, “GTO” standing for “Grand Turismo Omologato,” which equates to, “Homoligation.” This was the second time in Ferrari's history that the, “GTO” moniker was used. The first being the 250 GTO back in 1962. The 288 was designed to push the engineering envelope. While doing that Enzo had a vision to make the car as light as possible. The 288 was the first Ferrari to incorporate the use of Carbon Kevlar composite body panels. This material was used on the hood and roof. The doors were aluminum and fiberglass was used on the front fascia and rear fascia. They managed to get the weight down to 1,160kg (2,555lbs), about 550lbs lighter than the 308 GTB. The 288 was shortened up, while the wheelbase was lengthened by 8”. The GTO had functional aero on the car with brake cooling scoops in the front and rear, vents to feed the IHI Turbo's and a dovetail spoiler for downforce which is also reminiscent to the 250 GTO rear as well as the 3 vertical vents on the rear quarter panel. The engine was a de-bored version of the 308 Tipo F160-V8, it was debored to 2,855cc's (2.9ltr) and renamed the F114B. The engine had dual overhead camshafts, 4 valves per cylinder, mated with lightweight connecting rods, nickisel coated liners and heads (to reduce friction). Ferrari looked to Japanese turbo manufacturer IHI to engineer the Turbos for this car as they did most of the rally cars. All of this equated to 400hp, 0-60mph in 5 seconds, 0-125mph in 15 seconds and a top speed of 190mph; effectively making this the fastest road going car. The engineers had to turn the engine from being, “horizontally,” mounted to, “longitudinally,” mounted in order to make additional room for the Turbo's. The suspension was planted at each corner with, “Koni” coil overs. While the brakes were Brembo disc brakes. The 288 was a road going race car and one of the most special Ferraris produced. The 288 cemented Ferrari's platform on the world stage as the cars at that time were far from optimal. As much of a race car for the street as they are, they are very amazing and docile to drive on the street. The 2-8-8 is very easy to drive normally, but depress the throttle hard and you feel the twin turbo's spool and plant you back in the Daytona Seats as you row through the 5-speed gated gear lever. Of the 272 288 GTO's produced, we have been involved with about 18 cars that we've had the pleasure of touching. For every one we acquire, we pass on probably 4 of them. Most of these cars were driven and have lots of mileage and have old repairs of damage that we discovered, in some cases the current owners never saw the damage as it was masked fairly well. Many of the cars we have inspected with low mileage have been clocked where odometers were unplugged, odometers replaced and no service history where you cannot corroborate the mileage. I've had the privilege of studying 288's and touching many examples, preparing them for many concours events such as Cavallino. I was invited by Cavallino to speak on a panel about 288 GTO's at the 2024 Cavallino Classic. In my professional opinion approximately 10% of the 272 examples are considered, “Investment Grade,” examples. What I mean by that is, having less than 10k kilometers, having documented service history and not having any negative connotations that accompany the car. Of that subset, about 10% have 5k kilometers or less, and all their original paint. When looking at 288's the rougher the paint, the more authentic the example as they were not a highpoint in paint finish for Ferrari. The 288 GTO is truly the first real Ferrari “Super Car / Halo Car”. These will be the first of the Halo cars to reach $10m, as they made the least amount of the 288 than any other Halo Car; the true “investment-grade” examples will be the first and will always carry a premium over the “non-investment grade” examples. There have been some public sales over the past two year;, we personally looked at two of the examples that made their way to the states and they all had negative issues on them from paintwork, mileage discrepancies, one had fire damage and it was still Classiche Certified. This particular example is a 2 registered -wner example. It was delivered new out of one of the oldest Ferrari dealers, Charles Pozzi. Pozzi was so close to Enzo that he named a famous color after the dealership, “Pozzi Blue”. This car was ordered with factory air-conditioning which is a must have option as well as Black Daytona seats. What this car has that most cars don't, paperwork. When all of the experts are gone, what is left to document a car? Paperwork, and if a car doesn't have it, you will have an uphill battle describing its history. This car has a copy of the original sales contract from Charles Pozzi to the original owner, it has receipts and warranty receipts from Pozzi back in 1986. It has fastidious service history, 100% original paint, factory inspection marks that are still visible and it only has 5,400 kilometers. This is also accompanied by its books which are stamped throughout its service life. This 288 underwent a full major service at the Ferrari Classiche Department in Italy in January 2023; it is in fact the “Only 288” to be certified at the factory. It has 2 Classiche Red Books, the most recent certification being performed at the factory. The second owner whom we acquired the car from was an “Executive Board Member” at Ferrari for 11 years and started, “Ferrari Financial Services”. He confirmed that this 288 GTO is in fact the “ONLY” 288 GTO to be certified by the Factory Classiche Department. This is hands down in the top 1% of 288 GTO examples for the world and is an automatic entry into any world concours event and is a significant piece of Ferrari history. There is not another example that we have seen as authentic as this. 1985 Ferrari 288 GTO GT Motor Cars If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1968 Jaguar E 4.2 Series 1.5 Coupé 2+2
This Jaguar Coupé was delivered to Royal Elysees CH. F. Delecroix, the French importer in Paris and registered for the first time on 8th May 1968. At the end of the 90s, the E-type belonged to a gentleman from Lyon who had the cylinder head converted to unleaded fuel in 1999 and at the same time had a new fuel tank installed. In August 2015 the Jaguar was imported into Switzerland and registered locally. In 2018, the car was prepared for a Veteran MOT, with all the work documented and invoiced at around 16’000 francs. In 2019, the Jaguar was finally sold to its last owner, an enthusiast with his own workshop for precision mechanics. He wasted no time improving his steed and installed a new clutch, a new oil-pump, starter motor, alternator a stainless-steel exhaust system, new front brake discs with optimised brake pads, and other improvements. In 2022, a set of new Michelin classic tyres were installed. Consequently, the Jaguar is in technically very good condition, with the coachwork and interior in good condition with signs of use. The car has its own FIVA ID and will be handed over with the last veteran MOT completed in October 2022. 1968 Jaguar E 4.2 Series 1.5 Coupé 2+2 Oldtimer Galerie International GmbH If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1979 Alfa Romeo Alfasud 1.5 TI
The Alfasud represented the first front-wheel drive model produced in series by Alfa Romeo. The Alfa Romeo plant in Pomigliano d’Arco near Naples was rebuilt and expanded for production. The location in the south of Italy was the godfather for the name “Alfasud”. The development of the entire project, including factory planning, was in the hands of the Austrian Rudolf Hruska, who had previously worked for Porsche and Fiat. The design was by Giorgio Giugiaro (who also designed the Golf 1), who founded his company Italdesign especially for this project. This Alfa Romeo Alfasud TI 1.5 was delivered in France. A few years ago it was sold to a passionate Alfa Romeo collector. Under his direction, the technology and the paintwork were carefully reworked with great attention to detail. It is an almost untouched original vehicle with a mileage of only 59,200 km. Due to its low mileage and its sensationally original bodywork, this is a unique opportunity to acquire the so-called “VW Golf of the South“. 1979 Alfa Romeo Alfasud 1.5 TI Thiesen Hamburg GmbH If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1982 Porsche 935 Bob Akin L1
This is Bob Akin's famous Le Mans car of 1982. It was one of the wildest Porsche 935s of the post-factory era, and also one of the fastest. From 1977 the Porsche 935 was the car to have if you wanted to win IMSA or world championship events, but by 1982 it became very clear that a standard 935 was no longer competitive. The Porsche factory built its last 935 in 1979, so it was left to private teams to develop the cars with more aggressive aerodynamics and chassis designs. Bob Akin knew if he wanted to win, he would have to come up with something totally radical for the 1982 season. Akin commissioned Chuck Gaa of Gaaco to design and build a "Super GTP 935". To improve aerodynamics and increase the straight-line speed of the new car a Lola T600 GTP nose was used. A new purpose built monocoque bonded aluminum chassis was constructed combining the best of the new GTP technology with the proven power and reliability of the Porsche 935 mechanicals. According to the rules, the windshield and roof section of a standard Porsche 930 still had to be used. To improve airflow even further the entire roof structure was tilted to put the windshield at a better angle. Due to its complexity and unique design, the car was delivered late after the season had already begun. It made its first appearance at Lime Rock in May, which served as a test for Le Mans. At the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June the car’s design came into its own and showed tremendous straight-line speed down the famous Mulsanne Straight. Unfortunately Akin and co-drivers David Cowart and Kemper Miller only lasted two hours before a malfunction with the reserve gas tank sidelined the car. After Le Mans the car returned to the United States to compete in the remainder of the 1982 IMSA season. After much testing and development the car finished fourth at Mid-Ohio with Akin and Hurley Haywood driving, and seventh at Road Atlanta with Akin and Derek Bell. The car’s final appearance would be at the Pocono 500. The car sat in Akins shop until 1999 when Jacques Rivard purchased the car and performed a complete restoration, bringing the car back to better than new condition. All suspension components were crack checked, and new components were used where needed. G&S Autoworks completely rebuilt the engine and transmission. It now is one of the most potent 935s in vintage racing. Canepa completed a full inspection and detail on the car. It is in spectacular condition and is eligible to compete in historics worldwide, including the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion. He switched to road racing, acquiring his amateur SCCA national racing license in 1959 and hired legendary sports car racer John Fitch as his driving coach. Proving a quick study, he piloted an Alfa Veloce Spyder to his first win in only his third race at Bridgehampton. He drove a front engine Volpini Formula Junior in 1960, then switched to a 1957 Ferrari 500 TRC for several races during the early part of the 1961 season, before retiring in July of that year, to concentrate on the family business. Almost by accident, Akin returned to racing in 1973, after accepting an invitation from his friend, Sam Posey, to drive a few laps in his Mercedes-Benz 300SL, at the July 4th, 1973 Vintage Sports Car Club of America event at Lime Rock Park. Within a month, he was back at it in earnest, driving a Lotus 11 in vintage racing events until switching to the 1959 Cooper-Monaco that would prove to be his favorite racer, in 1975. In 1978, he purchased a Porsche RSR Carrera thinking it would be fun to run in the 1978 12 Hours of Sebring. They ran what was considered to be a test run at Daytona, before the Sebring event, then continued on racing a full season that would include racing at Le Mans with a Porsche 935 Turbo. Now solidly back in the drivers seat, compiled an impressive list of achievements, highlighted by a 6-Hour win at Watkins Glen, '79 and '86 12 Hours of Sebring victories, two second-place finishes in the '81 and '82 24 Hours of Daytona, six appearances, including a fourth overall in '84, at Le Mans. He won the IMSA Camel GT series in 1986 and had four top-10 finishes in IMSA Endurance Championship points standings. He was also a member and former president of the prestigious Road Racing Drivers Club. Akin retired from professional racing in 1991 but stayed quite active in the sport. He returned to racing his beloved vintage and historic cars, competed in the Fastmasters racing series, wrote articles for Road & Track magazine, and did on-air commentary for Speedvision, TBS and ESPN television. Following his retirement from Hudson Wire Company, in 1995, Akin also devoted his time to the management of Bob Akin Motorsports (Now Hudson Historics), which specializes in the restoration and race preparation of historic race cars. On April 25, 2002, he was gravely injured in a violent crash while testing a powerful 1988 Nissan GTP ZX-Turbo for the Walter Mitty Challenge for historic cars at Road Atlanta. He was airlifted to Grady Memorial Hospital after the accident. After briefly rallying, the 66 year old succumbed due to complications from his injuries on April 29. 1982 Porsche 935 Bob Akin L1 Canepa If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer.
