  • 1993 Jaguar XJR-S

A superb low-mileage example of JaguarSport's very special, hand-built, 6-litre XJR development, one of the last of the 115 cars ever produced. One of the rarest of all XJS, the XJR-S was a special development by JaguarSport, a conjunction between Jaguar and Tom Walkinshaw’s TWR. Owned 50/50 by both parties, JaguarSport was launched in 1988, and planned to produce the epitome of all things Jaguar, and with the XJR-S they certainly achieved that. Hand-built at JaguarSport in Kidlington by the TWR engineers who had worked on the XJ220. With the focus of the car not just being upon the unique engine fitted to those cars made post 1989, the chassis was developed to ensure this was the most competent it could be to handle the 160mph top speed from its V12 engine. Compared favourably to Italian and German competitors of the time, the work between Jaguar and TWR certainly ensured these of all XJS are the most sought-after. The JaguarSport XJR-S may have looked similar to their production counterparts but differed immensely with many parts unique to the model and, of course, its 6-litre V12 engine. The engine was rated at 318bhp and was 700cc larger than the previous 5.3-litre V12. A modified intake system, Zytek engine management and a low-loss true dual exhaust system were part of the car’s advanced specification. The Hydramatic GM400 was modified with different 'changing points' to better suit the 6-litre car, and a Salisbury limited-slip differential was standard. The suspension was further-developed by TWR with increased coil spring rates and the Bilstein shocks, front and rear, were specially tuned for the XJR-S. Externally, the cars were modified with a subtly aggressive body kit, 16" 'Speedline' aerodynamic wheels and host of modifications inside included a bespoke Connolly Autolux leather interior and the steering wheel was made for JaguarSport by Momo of Milan. They were normally built to order, with cars being transported from Browns Lane to Kidlington to be hand-finished. At £45,500, it was £11,000 more than the 5.3 which explains why a little over 500 were made (115 in RHD) before production stopped in 1993 making them highly sought-after today. This low-ownership, very low-mileage example comes with an excellent history file, detailing services from delivery in 1993 until 2005 with just a few periods of inactivity until it had covered 23,000 miles approximately. It has covered very few miles since that point, indeed only showing a touch over 29,500 miles at the time of cataloguing, having formed part of a large private collection for the last few years. Owned by our vendor since 2016, it's supplied with its original book-pack, tool roll and more, and a history file detailing relatively recent expenditure including brake pipe replacement, a power-steering refresh and some interior cosmetic work to ensure that the car remains at its best. With a fresh MOT and, at guide price that could only be described as sensible given the results for some recent XJS sales, this very special car is sure to create interest from collectors of the very best Jaguars. 1993 Jaguar XJR-S Iconic Auctioneers Ltd If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1967 Lotus Elan S3 Drophead

This example was comprehensively restored under prior ownership and completed just after the current owner purchased the car in 2020. The restoration began with a sound example that had reportedly traveled just 18,500 miles when the restoration commenced. Believed to have been under single long-term ownership located in Florida, the restoration began when Hayes Harris, owner of Wire Wheel, Vero Beach, FL purchased the car in the late 1990s/early 2000s. Enlisting the assistance of Dave Bean, Dave Bean Engineering, a frame off restoration was reportedly performed. Nearing completion in December 2004, the car was sold to a San Diego, CA based British car enthusiast who finished the restoration with important upgrades including a custom tan/brown interior. This prior owner enjoyed the car for fifteen years adding an additional 40k miles to the car as an active participant in Southern California British car events achieving Best in Class awards in the Lotus Class for 2012, 2014, 2017, and 2018. Under his long-term ownership some of the notable improvements performed on the car included: Prestige hardwood burl walnut dashboard Top end engine rebuild by Bill Schlossnagel (October 2018, @55,500 miles) Ported and polished head with new SS oversized valves and bronze valve guides 3:91 differential with JAE CV joint axles Bean Engineering water pump cartridge RD Enterprises high torque gear reduction starter RD Enterprises alternator RD Enterprises electric cooling fan with manual override Bean Engineering pressure plate and 8.5” heavy duty clutch Bean Engineering differential stiffening brace Exhaust headers In 2018 a major service and tune up was performed including new belts and hoses, Weber carburetors disassembled, cleaned and tuned, all fluids replaced, and an oil and filter change performed in May 2019. In 2o2o, the current owner purchased the car, accumulating approximately 1, 200 miles over the past three years. Services performed in April 2021 included new tires and tubes, exhaust mount adjustment, new alternator and alternator bracket, and rewiring for charging circuit improvement. Also at this time, the headlights, taillights, and side lights were replaced with LED light bulbs. In January 2023 the car was serviced by Mountune, Carson, CA including servicing the front and rear suspension with new uprated top shock bushings, a rear coil over kit including new rear shocks, adjusting the ride height (Elan front 10” 150 lbs springs), repacking and adjusting front wheel bearings, and pressure checking the cooling system. Services continued with a new distributor cap, rotor, front bearing kit, and new spark plugs. In August 2023, the car returned to Mountune where both Weber carburetors were rebuilt, a new fuel pump installed, engine mount supports welded (engine removed for this work), a new heater valve installed, and a front-end alignment, corner balance, and suspension adjustments performed at a subcontracted alignment service center. Current Condition and Features Today this beautiful S3 presents in excellent condition with high gloss vivid red paint that shows very nicely in all respects with just a few small imperfections noted in the paint. There are a few chips on the passenger side front wheel opening, minor chips on the silver painted front bumper, and slight warping to the front bumper trim strip. The doors fit quite well, however the hood sits a bit proud of the body surface when closed as does the trunk lid which displays a raised profile on the driver’s side edge. The lighting and emblems are in excellent condition, showing not only great fit, but care in detailing. The glass appears to be original to the car with some evidence of road use showing on the windshield. A set of silver painted steel wheels are correctly finished with chrome lug nuts, wearing Michelin 155 80R13 tires and inner tubes installed in 2021. The interior is beautifully finished with high quality materials, correct carpeting, nicely matched door panels, and a black rear section tonneau cover. The convertible top and top bows are included with the car and stow under the rear tonneau. The vinyl convertible top is included loose but can be fitted to the top mechanism. The seats and door panels have been trimmed in two tone brown and tan interior which creates a very pleasing look and feel to the interior. The burl wood dashboard, beautifully finished instruments, Lotus emblem wooden gear shift knob, and alloy spoke steering wheel deliver a nicely balanced vintage touch to the interior. The trunk is lined with high quality black carpeting and houses a 12V battery fitted with a trickle charger dongle. Under the hood, the Lotus twin cam engine displays excellent finishes including the painted twin cam head, proper hardware, and generally correct components with a few important contemporary upgrades including a high torque starter, modern alternator, electric cooling fan, and tuned header-type exhaust. Attention to detail continues throughout the engine compartment highlighted by a pair of correct and recently rebuilt dual throat Weber carburetors. The tidy engine compartment is both clean and well-prepared. The underside of the car has been restored and detailed including the red painted underbody, grey chassis, and black suspension components, some of which are now showing signs of age since the restoration was completed. The car starts easily and idles smoothly with a nice warm tone to the exhaust. The ride is confident, solid, and greatly improved via the suspension upgrades. As anyone who has driven these cars in the past will attest, these cars are differentiated by thoughtful and persistent mechanical refinement from dedicated owners and specialists driven to achieve that “just right” balance of originality and engineering improvements resolved from years of refinement. This example benefits greatly from the history of enthusiast ownership improving both the mechanical features and delightful Lotus packaging that so eagerly captured enthusiasts when first released and continue to do so with new generations of Lotus Elan enthusiasts. Included with this car The car is accompanied by 2021 and 2023 service invoices, a black convertible top, assorted spare parts, an owner’s handbook, and a spare red shifter boot. 1967 Lotus Elan S3 Drophead Fantasy Junction If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1968 Jaguar E-Type Roadster

An outstandingly wholesome, seldom-seen Series 1.5 Roadster in excellent condition, offered from 36 years of caring ownership. The Series I E-Type was introduced initially for export-only in March 1961 using the triple SU carburetted, 3.8-litre, six-cylinder XK engine from the XK150S. The car continued to be developed over time, with the first major changes arriving in 1964, including an increased capacity to 4.2-litres. There was never a fixed specification or official designation for this interim model, although with the arrival of the officially-named 'Series 2', the early cars became Series Is and the interim cars, logically, Series 1.5. These cars can be recognised by their open headlights, small 'mouth' air intake, the exhaust tips under the number plate at the rear and the tail lights and indicators above the bumpers. It is undoubtedly one of the rarest variations of the E-Type, with enthusiasts claiming that it is the best-driving and most nimble derivative. The 4.2-litre engine and all-synchromesh gearbox offers increased power and usability whilst retaining the fabulous looks of the earlier cars. Naturally there are enthusiasts for every iteration of E-Type from the early, flat-floor, Moss-gearbox skinny-seat cars to the voluptuous and voluminous V12 Series 3, however those folk that really know suggest that a 1.5, well-maintained and properly set up, would probably represent the ultimate. NOP 155F is a left-hand drive Ohio-delivered Series 1.5 imported into the UK in the 1980s and first registered in 1990 following a tremendous, enthusiast-performed restoration, finished in period-perfect Carmen Red with a black leather interior. Manufactured in the second year of Series 1.5 production in 1968, the car's early/USA history is relatively unknown, but we can ascertain from the original Ohio registration plates that it resided there for a while, before returning to the UK. Purchased by our vendor in 1987/8 in a very poor state of repair, it was a passion project from the start as he set about restoring the car with his sons from the ground up to what you see today. After more than two years of hard work with long days and nights, the Jag was completed, MOT’d and first registered in 1990 with a wonderful tale from our vendor. Thankfully the restoration was very well-photographed throughout and illustrates the level of restoration the car required. It is undeniable that our vendor is a perfectionist and that truly shows through with the quality of the result. The Jaguar was purchased with c.37,000 miles displayed on the odometer and, being just 19-years old at the time, we believe this to be genuine. Since being in the UK, it has an MOT Certificate from every year, with yearly mileage increments remaining incredibly low, so we believe the mileage to be a genuine 41,069 miles from new but, without any USA documentation, it's impossible to be certain. What we are sure about is that the car has covered less than 5,000 miles in our vendors long-term 36-year ownership, as can be verified by the aforementioned MOT history. Whilst in our vendor's care, the car has always remained garaged and in simply impeccable running and driving condition. Over the years, it's been taken to various shows and displays including the 1991 Display of 1000 E-Types at Donington with lots of photographs in the file. Having never seen the rain since its completion, NOP 155F continues to present well with good panel gaps, a deep shine and an excellent hood. The word 'wholesome' really gets thrown about a lot these days, but this car truly ticks all the boxes. Restored with the help of his sons and kept for 36 years at the same property, we imagine parting with his beloved E-Type will be somewhat emotional for the whole family, however we have promised them that we can find a new owner who will take proper care of this venerable Jaguar. 1968 Jaguar E-Type Roadster Iconic Auctioneers Ltd If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1962 Jaguar E-TYPE Competition '2 BBC'

For the first time in 60 years, the famous ‘2 BBC’ FHC Competition E-type is publicly available. Race-prepared for Jaguar racer and dealer Robin Sturgess, the car would take the 1962 British racing season by storm, beating many of the great names in the latest Aston Martin DB4GT Zagatos, and Ferraris 250SWB and GTOs. In 1962 alone, Sturgess and '2 BBC' came home with 12 victories and 10 further podiums – a record surely not matched by any other top-flight GT car of the period in a single year. Today the car is race-ready and a potential winner in pre-63 or the Kinrara Trophy, and complete with its original engine and close-ratio gearbox in the spares package. Very rarely does such a successful and significant early specification competition E-type come to market.  Please contact us for more details on this incredibly successful and original competition E-type. 1962 Jaguar E-TYPE Competition '2 BBC' Duncan Hamilton Rofgo Ltd If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1966 Mini Cooper FIA HTP Race Rally

An original UK, 998cc Mini Cooper presented as a full race/rally spec 1293S impressively rebuilt by Snetterton Speedshop in 2021 with little or no use since. The chassis number for the Cooper – KA2S4-896682 – indicates that it started life as a UK-home market, right-hand drive Morris Cooper 998cc Mk1 that was subsequently prepared to Cooper S competition-specification and fitted with a full race 1,293cc power unit. The car spent some time in Belgium from 1990 until purchased by its present owner in 2019, at which point it returned to the UK and commenced a schedule of works which brought the Mini up to its current condition and specification. This included a full strip to a bare shell which was totally reworked as required, subframes repaired and updated, a full engine rebuild utilising correct 1,293cc parts including new valves, piston rings, mild KAD rally cam and the correct rocker gear. A straight-cut gear kit in a period S gearbox was sourced and fitted with straight-cut drop gears, a Cooper S remote gearchange and an ultra-light flywheel were also pressed into action. Other additions include twin SU carburettors and a Cooper S manifold, a new oil cooler, radiator, water pump, race/rally dynamo, and a fully-legal stainless steel exhaust system, rally skidded and all FIA-compliant. Internally, this little Mini is currently prepared as a rally car with a Works-style dash, footplate and competition seats. A full breakdown of the rebuild and technical info is available upon request. Previously a very competitive little racer, winning its class in the European FIA Historic Touring Car Championship amongst other notable results, it is now prepared to FIA/HTP rally-specification, opening out the future possibilities for this quick little Mini, very sensibly guided at a fraction of the build costs and accompanied by its recently-issued FIA/HTP papers. 1966 Mini Cooper FIA HTP Race Rally Iconic Auctioneers Ltd If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1961 Porsche 356 B Roadster

This immaculate 1961 Porsche 356 B Roadster was ordered new through Pon’s Automobielhandel in the Netherlands and sold to Mr Roger M. Gibson resident in Amsterdam. In 2008, the decision was taken by its then owner, Mr P Van Shevensteen of Belgium to give the Porsche a full restoration. The work was entrusted to CPR Classic in Fallbrook, California. This renowned company specialises in the 356 and early 911, and it stripped the car all the way down to bare metal. No expense was spared during the rebuild, and the patriotic Belgian owner decided to have the Porsche resprayed in the period shade of Condor Yellow – the national racing colour of Belgian being yellow. The two-year restoration was completed in 2010, and shortly afterwards the 356 passed to the owner’s son having covered only 600 kilometres. After being acquired by a new owner in 2011, the car was used sparingly and he added only another 1500 kilometres or so to its total. In 2012, the car was imported into the UK through Hexagon of Highgate. It then changed ownership a couple more time before being acquired by the current owner. The Roadster model can be considered as a direct evolution of the Speedster, which had proved popular on the US West Coast but lacked the creature comforts to do well in Europe. The intention with the Roadster was to produce a model that was a blend of touring car and out-and-out sports car. It therefore offers a less compromised driving experience than the Speedster thanks to its larger windscreen, more comfortable seats, door pockets and wind-up windows instead of the previous side curtains. The result is an extremely usable open-top Porsche 356 that is still as stylish as ever. Now being offered for sale by the Classic Motor Hub, this attractive example is presented in superb condition throughout, with an unmarked black and grey interior. It features a black mohair soft-top and tonneau cover, and has been given the UK registration 809 UYF. MODEL HISTORY Designed by Ferry Porsche – son of company founder Ferdinand – the 356 was launched in 1948 and was the car that laid the foundation for Porsche’s enduring success. At that time, the company was still based in the Austrian town of Gmünd, but by 1950 it had moved back to Germany and the Stuttgart borough of Zuffenhausen, while steel bodywork replaced the aluminium that had been used on the earliest 356s. Porsche’s reputation grew rapidly thereafter, thanks largely to its competition success, and it became a popular choice for young racers in the all-important North American market. The basic outline of the 356 remained intact throughout its production run, but there were numerous updates along the way. The capacity of the rear-mounted, air-cooled, flat-four engine was originally 1100cc, but 1300cc and 1500cc variants were soon added. In 1955, the 356 A was introduced with its updated T1 body, and this model also gained the option of a 1600cc engine – plus the high-performance four-cam Carrera unit. In 1958, Porsche did a deal with Karosseriewerke Drauz KG – which was based in Heilbronn, just north of Stuttgart – to build its new Convertible D and Roadster. Offered with the 1600 and 1600 S engines, but not in Carrera spec, this model could be ordered in red, blue, ivory or silver. Prices in the American market started at $2774. The 356 B was introduced in 1960 with a new T5 body style and the Convertible D was eventually replaced by the d’Ieteren-built Roadster. The 1600cc engine was available across all body styles – Coupé, Cabriolet and Roadster – and with various power outputs. The 356 B gained the latest T6 body in 1962, and the final incarnation of this famous model was the 1964 356 C. In that same year, Porsche introduced the six-cylinder 911 and production of the 356 came to an end in 1965. 1961 Porsche 356 B Roadster The Classic Motor Hub If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The notice and take down procedure is described here: https://www.speedholics.com/copyright This immaculate 1961 Porsche 356 B Roadster was ordered new through Pon’s Automobielhandel in the Netherlands and sold to Mr Roger M. Maserati wanted to challenge the Ferrari 250 GT. This “Gran Turismo” was powered by a magnificent in-line six-cylinder with twin spark ignition. This engine, which produced around 230 hp, was derived from the racing engine of the Tipo 350S and “domesticated” for road use. This version with three Weber twin carburettors has a far more reliable reputation than the later models with Lucas fuel injection. Powered in this specific way, the factory promised a top speed of 230 kilometres per hour. From the design studio Vignale came the creation of the open Spider version by Giovanni Michelotti: the 3500 GT Spider with a stunningly feminine sweep of the hips at the rear. The characteristic Maserati trident in the radiator grille underlines the potent charisma of the front with two round auxiliary headlights. When opened, the soft top disappears completely into the space provided for it behind the front seats, remaining invisible in the sight of the side lines. The interior of the Vignale Spider is trimmed in the finest Conolly leather. The dashboard is in the same colour as the exterior paintwork and on the driver’s side there are the classically stylistic five round instruments. The interior is in no way behind the exterior elegance. Between 1960 and 1964, according to some sources, only 242 or 245 Vignale Spiders were built. We are offering this Maserati 3500 GT Vignale Spider in its original colour scheme “Argenta Luna”, which leaves nothing to be desired in terms of overall condition. This car comes with “Matching Numbers” and the original colour combination inside/outside according to the delivery certificate. Equipped with the 5-speed gearbox, front disc brakes and Borrani spoke rims make this Vignale Spider in the carburettor version an extremely desirable collector’s car. Included with the Maserati Classiche certificate is all documentation such as factory order and delivery details. 1962 Maserati 3500 GT Vignale Spyder Lutziger Classic Cars AG If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. These models closely resemble the Series 1 but, towards the end, no longer had the glass-covered headlights and featured different control levers. Gradually, equipment from the upcoming Series 2 was introduced, while the bodywork always remained that of the Series 1. At Jaguar itself, these '1 1/2' models were still classified under the Series 1. This particular example is an early Series 1.5, recognizable by its classic features such as the open headlights, the three SU carburetors, and the original dashboard with the characteristic Series 1 switches. Additionally, the elegant Series 1 bumpers have been retained, further enhancing its authentic appearance. The car was built in late 1967 and entered the market in 1968. in 2000, this Jaguar made its way to the Netherlands, imported from the United States by a passionate Dutch restorer. At the time, the American owner intended the car for racing, but the restorer saw its potential to be restored to top condition. Although the car was already in excellent shape, he chose not to race it but instead optimized the engine. Thanks to upgrades such as a higher compression ratio, improved cooling, and an advanced water pump, the engine underwent a full top-level rebuild in 2011. During this process, asbestos roofs were removed, and the technical aspects were completely improved.Since then, the Jaguar has remained in the hands of the same enthusiast. Originally purchased in completely original condition with an exceptionally low mileage, the car became practically a "zero-kilometer car" after the extensive nut-and-bolt restoration in 2011. Every detail has been meticulously refined, from the engine overhaul to the interior, resulting in an exceptionally sophisticated E-Type. This restoration, which continued until 2024, has brought the car back to a condition that surpasses its original glory. During the process, the Jaguar was equipped with high-quality components and finished with luxurious leather upholstery by an interior specialist. The exclusive Golden Sand color, from Jaguar's palette, was even applied to the original hardtop for a harmonious look. The whitewall tires complete the car. This Jaguar is not only a technical and aesthetic masterpiece but also fully documented, making it even more valuable. We are proud to share this masterpiece with you! 1968 Jaguar E-Type 4.2 OTS Cool Classic Club If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1972 Jaguar E-Type Series 3 1

Extensively and expensively restored with a recent repaint to Gunmetal Grey. A decade after the original Jaguar E-Type arrived, the design progressively matured through 1971 with the introduction of the Series 3. Designed to showcase the new smooth and torquey 5.3-litre engine, originally developed for Le Mans, the Series 3 cars were available as a 'Roadster' (convertible) or a '2+2' Coupé. The Series 3 is easily identifiable by its large cross-slatted front grille, flared wheel arches, wider tyres, a larger bonnet bulge, updated bumpers, four exhaust tips and a badge on the rear that proclaims it to be a V12. It also featured uprated brakes, power steering as standard and a large horizontal scoop added to the underside of the bonnet to assist with cooling. The interior was entirely new in the V12, with more comfortable seating, stylish new door panels and a smaller dished and leather-rimmed steering wheel. Being slightly larger and altogether much softer in nature, the E-Type in Series 3 form had lost the wildness of its youth but gained the long-legged touring profile, to which it was arguably better suited. The lovely example on offer here is an original UK-supplied, right-hand drive car, factory specified with the desirable manual gearbox and originally finished in Primrose Yellow with a black leather interior. The previous owner purchased the Jaguar in 2012 and, whilst overall it appeared in good condition, some areas of the underbody were suffering from corrosion. Consideration was given to attempting localised repairs but, eventually, the decision was made to commission a total nut and bolt restoration of engine, body, interior and axle. The previous owner was fastidious in keeping track of all his expenditure and, accompanying the car is a ledger detailing all payments made during his tenure, totalling over £100,000. He also recorded the various stages of restoration photographically. Also supplied with the car are a large number of invoices and MOTs dating back to 1985 and other partial history dating back to the 1990s. Viewing of the various document folders is highly recommended. The restoration was finished in 2019 when the current owner bought the car to join his significant private Collection of British motor cars. In current ownership, the decision was taken to repaint the car in Gunmetal Grey and Dynamic-R were tasked with carrying this out which, as you can see, they completed to their very, very high standards. Offered at a competitive estimate, when you consider the level of expenditure lavished on this example over the years, we welcome and encourage your inspection at the NEC see for yourself the results of all this hard work in the metal. 1972 Jaguar E-Type Series 3 Iconic Auctioneers Ltd If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer.
