  • 1961 AC Greyhound - Bristol Engine

The AC Greyhound was introduced at 1959 London Motor Show. It was the second Coupe based on the Ace Roadster but offered 2 + 2 seating. Like the Aceca’s, the Greyhound’s extremely shapely and attractive body was constructed in hand-formed aluminium over a tubular steel framework, while the longer-wheelbase tubular-steel chassis was more substantially built. One notable departure from the Aceca was the bottom-hinged boot lid, replacing the Aceca’s practical hatchback, although this new arrangement did have the advantage of enabling oversize luggage to be carried with the boot open. The result was a well engineered, lightweight, generously equipped and extremely pretty GT car in the best AC tradition, boasting rear passenger accommodation roomier than many ‘2+2’ rivals. Most of the 84 Greyhounds built left the factory in Thames Ditton with the six cylinder Bristol engine fitted. This propelled the car from standstill to 60mph in just over 11 secs and onto a top speed of 110mph. The AC Bristol powered Greyhound offered here at Autostorico is a 1961 matching numbers example finished in Princess Blue with Red leather interior. BEF 2544 (Chassis number) was first registered as 975CLM to Tarpen Engineering Co Ltd, South West London on 8th June 1961. Having passed through five documented owners the car was purchased by its current owner an avid AC fan in 2018. Since then the car has been in regular use and has been maintained to the highest possible standard, with recent works carried out by IN Racing. Supplied with an extensive history file including current V5 registration document, previous MOT’s, numerous invoices and other related material. 1961 AC Greyhound - Bristol Engine Autostorico Partners LLP If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1954 Aston Martin DB2/4

Factory left-hand drive example with sliding sunroof Retains its matching-numbers original engine Documented by copy of its Aston Martin build sheet and Heritage Trust Certificate Previous long-term ownership of nearly 40 years Mechanically restored by Steel Wings with invoices in excess of $65,000 A unique and highly eligible entrant for the most prestigious rallies Successful Participant in the 2023 Tejas Turismo Hill Country Rally Bespoke Coco Mats, Refinished Wheels and Cosmetic Freshening 2024 Inspection, Scheduled Service and Detailing This delightfully charming DB2/4 is one of 565 Mark I models produced, and is documented by both its Aston Martin build sheet and a copy of its Heritage Trust certificate. A factory left-hand-drive model built for export, chassis number LML/576 was produced on 28 October 1953 in original colors of Sea Green over Beige Connolly hides, and was destined for Belgium in February 1954, where its sale was handled by the Ets. R. Mannes agency. Its build sheet notes that it was fitted with heavy duty shock absorbers and specifies other distinct features such as a kph speedometer, which it still retains today. Its first owner was Andre Pelgrims of Brussels, a member of a prominent local family whose residence, the Maison Pelgrims, exists today as a celebrated art exhibition venue. While few details of its early European history are known, the DB2/4 eventually made its way to the United States. It came into the possession of Lance Sterman of Stockbridge, Massachusetts in the early 1980s, and thus would begin a nearly four decade period of enthusiastic ownership. By 2012, Sterman elected to conduct a comprehensive mechanical overhaul undertaken by the Aston Martin specialists at Steel Wings of Ivyland, Pennsylvania. This work, completed over a five year period from 2012-2017, is documented in receipts amounting to over $65,000. A considerable amount of focus was given to the engine, which was carefully disassembled and rebuilt utilizing a billet crankshaft. Likewise, other systems were rebuilt, serviced, and replaced with the fuel, cooling, braking, and carburetion systems noted as having received attention. With a view towards driving enjoyment and reliability, certain improvements were made including the addition of upgraded front hubs, an electric fan, and an upgraded oil pump. The wiring harness and exhaust system were also replaced. All in all, the mission was to create the ultimate vintage British road rally machine that would fit like an old glove but be backed by a fresh rebuild by one of the most respected names associated with the marque. With the work complete, Sterman was able to participate in the 2018 AMOC Lime Rock Road Rally. The DB2/4 quickly captured the attention of AMOC members due to its unique combination of “as discovered” cosmetic condition in contrast to its rally purpose built mechanicals. More recently, service work has included a new brake master cylinder as well as new wheel cylinders in 2023. LML/576 embodies the 1950s British rally car aesthetic, and represents a rare, sporting, highly eligible choice for some of the most prestigious international collector car events, including the Mille Miglia and the California Mille. As a factory left-hand-drive example still with its original engine and retaining many original features, and with major fettling completed by Steel Wings in recent years, LML/576 is a compelling choice for continued historic event participation, either Stateside or back across the pond. 1954 Aston Martin DB2/4 Driver Source Fine Motorcars If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. Model history Ferrari had been doing well through the 1950s with the 250 series of road and racing cars. The company’s successful early line included many variants and are characterized by their use of the Lampredi or Colombo designed 3 liter V12 engine. From the mid fifties, Ferrari’s road car production became important to the company’s future stability. Carrozzeria Pinin Farina was not yet able to meet Ferrari’s increased demand and thus Carrozzeria Boano was entrusted to expand the 250 GT series. The Ferrari 250 GT Boano replaced the 250 GT Europa and represented a significant departure for Ferrari. Driver and passenger comfort were taken seriously; the interior was more luxurious, seats were broader and there was less noise intrusion. By this time there was also synchromesh in the gearbox, which was exactly what was expected by the increasingly important North American market. The Boano-bodies cars were distinguished from later cars by the roof being lower and by the existence of quarter-light windows. From 1958 onwards the body was built by Ellena who raised the roof by about 3 inches. This example Retains its matching number engine Well maintained in an important Dutch Ferrari collection One of only 88 ‘low-roof’ examples Restored in 1998 This lovely 250 GT Boano was built in 1956 is one of some 88 cars manufactured. Many of them were used in competition events with gentlemen drivers. The chassis was very similar to the 250 GT Tour de France and the Tipo 128 B engine delivered 240 bhp so the car could be competitive, although the car was heavier as the competition cars due to the steel body on the Boano. The bodywork is in excellent condition with very good panel fit as the Boano’s were well built. This car shows no previous accidents and has a well kept and very clean underside with the original floorpans. We are currently researching the car’s early history, but quite early the car arrived in America and was owned by a Mr. Steve Barny and then by Robert Spangler of the Prancing Horse Farm in Baltimore. In 1983 the car was owned by Steve Cottingham. In 1997 the car appeared at auction in the UK and in 2000 the car was sold to a Mr Alberto Garnerone. He kept the car until his estate sold the car in 2013. The next owner is the current caretaker, a long time and important Ferrari collector. During the current ownership the car was used sparingly but well maintained. A number of cars were in period converted to other arguably more desirable, competition-orientated series from the 250 family. Fortunately, this car was not converted to a racing type car, making it a rare and original survivor. The paintwork is still presentable and shows some patina after more than 20 years. The Boano styling is elegant and the two-tone paintwork suits the model very well. The interior with the TdF style sport seats is in very nice condition. The engine starts well and shows hardly any smoke and has good oil pressure. The gearbox is a delight to use. The grey painted Borrani wheels give the car the sporting appearance. This must present a tempting offer, considering for example a 250 GT Lusso is much more expensive and significantly less rare while the Boano retains much more of its racing DNA. This car is a great 12-cilinder Ferrari to be used in rally, touring & club events or in the Mille Miglia for which it is eligible. This example deserves a new great home where it can be further enjoyed. 1956 Ferrari 250 GT Boano Very Superior Old Cars If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1992 Opel Lotus Omega

SUMMARY From 22-years ownership with just 34,800 miles and subject to considerable recent expenditure, No. 0619 is a superb example of these legendary super saloons. DESCRIPTION One of the most headline-grabbing models of recent years, the Lotus-developed Opel Omega/Vauxhall Carlton caused a storm of controversy when it was revealed that this four-door production saloon could touch 175mph (282km/h), a performance bettered by only a handful of exotic supercars. Lotus' then owners, General Motors, had conceived the project as a means of creating a high-performance flagship for its European marques, Opel's Omega with its 24-valve, 3.0-litre straight-six engine being chosen as the basis. Enlarged to 3.6-litres and equipped with twin Garrett turbochargers, the engine produced 377bhp and 419lb/ft of torque. A 6-speed gearbox from the Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1, limited-slip differential, racing suspension, ventilated disc brakes, and improved aerodynamics ensured that the car's enormous potential could be safely controlled. The cars were assembled by hand at the Lotus factory in Hethel and all were finished in Imperial Dark Green with an Anthracite leather interior. Only 950 examples were constructed between 1990 and 1992, 284 Lotus and 666 wearing the Omega badge with 415 of these destined for the German home market. This lovely example, No. 0619, is indeed one of those left-hand drive, German-market cars and was imported to the UK from Germany and registered here on 10th November 1997. Naturally, it's finished in Imperial Dark Green with an Anthracite leather interior and has recently been the subject of major works to maintain it at the level that a vehicle of this nature deserves. A full bare-metal repaint has just been completed at the not insignificant cost of circa £14,000 together with an interior refresh, a service and fresh MOT issued without advisories, all accompanied by the original spare wheel, toolkit and registration stamped glass. With a recorded mileage of just 38,366 and 22-years long-term ownership, it's clear that this 1990s Supercar has led somewhat of a cherished life to date and, being one of the fastest and most sought after cars of its time, interest is not about to diminish in the near future. • 1993 Ferrari 512 TR 1

This 1993 512 TR was purchased new by NFL player and current ESPN show host Shannon Sharpe who purchased this car early in his career to match the example Michael Jordan was famous for driving during the Chicago Bulls’s legendary 1992 NBA season. Under 3 the care of 3 owners since, the car is finished in Black over Black and is in remarkable condition, showing just 20,297 miles at the time of cataloging. Upon the consignor’s acquisition in 2023, he went to great lengths to keep the car in the immaculate condition he purchased it. To do this, he had a professional paint correction carried out, which was then covered in a full-body STEK clear paint protection film. He also sourced a NOS windshield from Ferrari which was installed and then also covered in clear glass protection film to keep the pitting and chips away. The 512 TR’s signature 5-spoke wheels are wrapped in a fresh set of Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires, and the car is ready to be driven and enjoyed. The black leather interior presents outstandingly well, with little wear evident anywhere. One of the major changes carried out with the 512 TR is an entirely revised interior over the Testarossa that is both more comfortable and more user-friendly. Gone is the elongated center stack that housed a trio of illegible gauges- those are now clearly visible and reside in a small horizontal pod directly below the HVAC vents. Where the console was is now open which gives the cabin a much more open, airy feel inside and grants the occupants more room for their knees. The angular seats from the Testarossa are gone and in their place, a comfortable set of sports seats with real bolstering and a headrest that you can actually use. The only other modification carried out on this 512 TR was the addition of period-correct looking Blaupunkt Bremen, which is paired with an Audison AP5.9 bit 5-channel amplifier. Powering the 512 TR is a heavily updated version of the Testarossa’s Flat-12 engine which featured a new air-intake system, state-of-the-art Bosch engine management, larger valves and an improved exhaust system. Additionally, the compression ratio went up from 9.2:1 to 10.0:1 which resulted in more power throughout the rev-range and peak power of 422 hp and 362 lb-ft of torque. Ferrari claimed a top speed of over 195 mph on the 512 TR and a reported 0-100 kph time of just 4.8 seconds. After listening to complaints lodged against the Testarossa’s baulky shifter, the 512 TR also received a new single plate clutch, as well as a better angle on the shift lever itself. All of these changes are important and improved the 512 TR significantly but the single largest change carried out was, through clever engineering, Ferrari was able to place the engine and gearbox unit lower in the car, which brought the center of gravity down significantly. This meant that many of the spiky handling characteristics the Testarossa exhibited at speed, were significantly reduced. The consignor purchased this car while it was mid-service at GrandPrix Motors in Campbell, CA. With fewer than 2,270 512 TRs produced between 1991 and 1994, finding a black/black example in this condition is a rarity. Given this car’s history of loving owners and open checkbook maintenance history over the past few owners, this car is dialed in and ready to be enjoyed. 1993 Ferrari 512 TR ISSIMI, Inc If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The Volante remained with Mr Cooper until it was replaced in 1989 by his brand new V8 Vantage Volante ‘Ecurie Ecosse’, the last of three special order examples built following a bespoke request from the McCaig brothers who owned the Ecurie Ecosse racing team Due to a surge of interest in the final series of 580X V8 Vantage and Volante models in the late eighties, new cars and the even rarer ‘Prince Of Wales’ specification cars were difficult to obtain and Aston Martin main agents such as Stratton and Chapman Spooner offered their clients the chance to upgrade their existing cars, hence a number of 580X Vantage Volante’s had their flairs removed and were rebuilt with ‘PoW’ coachwork During a recent conversation Roger Bennington, MD of Stratton Motor Co recalls they converted a number of Volante’s like this in period and the cost conversion was cGBP 25,000 which was a substantial amount in proportion to the values at the time In addition to the ‘PoW’ upgrades available from the aforementioned dealers a handful of Volante’s were also upgraded with 580X Vantage Volante bodywork which was also a complex and extremely costly upgrade with new panels supplied by the factory Our Volante was sold via Straight Eight in 1989 and over the winter of that year and was the subject of a comprehensive upgrade programme to latest 580X Vantage Volante cosmetic specification, refinished in Salisbury Blue and understood to have been one of a handful of cars upgraded in the period at the request of main agents Chapman Spooner by highly respected Aston Martin specialist Lincoln Scott The Volante was sold to Mr Murphy of Cossington, Leicestershire and was serviced by Chapman Spooner on March 7th 1990 at 2700 miles, again on March 11th 1991 at 5186 miles and then AML Ltd on 15th May 1992 at 9329 miles at which time it was briefly registered ‘1 AM’ as stated on the MoT certificate February 1991-1992 The next owner was Mr Paul Southgate of Essex between 1994-98 where it joined his private collection sharing garage space with a Lamborghini Countach and Espada. Throughout Mr Southgate’s ownership the Aston was serviced by Aston Martin Sevenoaks on 6th January 1994 at 11,612 miles and was later sent to Aston Martin exponents RS Williams on 6th March 1996 for full mechanical conversion from electronic fuel injection to carburettors setup (whilst retaining its original matching numbers engine and gearbox) and fitted with the latest RSW handling pack and Brembo big brake conversion, the cost of which today would exceed GBP 25,000 The Volante was later serviced by Carrera Sport of Haywards Heath on 14th July 1998 at 18,610 miles and sold to the previous owner in October of that year via Aston specialist dealer Byron International in October 1998 with mileage at 19,000 miles The Volante would remain with its former keeper for the next twenty five years covering just 9700 miles during their ownership and totalling 28,781 miles by October 2023. During their tenure the Volante benefitted from a chassis restoration and maintenance by marque expert John Etheridge and Nicholas Mee. The car was professionally stored from August 2002 to October 2023 in a temperature controlled environment, regularly started and MoT tested every year until its sale on 27th October 2023 Over the past twelve months the Volante has been the subject of extensive recommissioning programme at a cost in excess of GBP 50,000 with marque specialists Quantum Works and R.S.Williams with supporting photos and invoices. An inspection of the car in the workshop in October 2023 revealed it had excellent structural condition, excellent original interior/carpets/hood, excellent bodywork and a very healthy engine, a testament to the excellent conditions at Tigastore but in need of a full recommission following a long period of stoarge The engine was subsequently removed, water pump/ancillaries rebuilt, engine bay and engine fully repainted and detailed with all relevant ancillaries replated, carburettor fuel system rebuild and tune, gearbox rebuild with quick shift kit, air conditioning rebuild with new hoses, new alloy radiator, new oil cooler, uprated ignition, RSW big bore exhaust system, Nardi steering wheel, new Michelin Pilot Sport tires, original Ronal wheels refurbished, RSW wheel spacer kit, new wishbone and differential bushes with geometry setup, full brake rebuild with new servos etc, Blaupunkt DAB radio to name but a few items! Supplied with the original service book, every MoT certificate from new warranting the low 31,500 original miles, extensive service history and original Tanne and Krolle fitted luggage, this superb Volante is now ready for immediate enjoyment and both presents and drives extremely well 1988 Aston Martin V8 Volante Dylan Miles Ltd If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer.
