- 1959 Maserati 3500 GT Touring
As one of only 937 coupé built with the sought-after carburettor engine this stunning Maserati 3500 with chassis number 101-538 was handed over to its first owner on the 24th July 1959 by Maserati agent Jean Thépenier. According to the Maserati register, the car was later sold by the 1st owner to a gentleman in England who later on sold the GT to Hollande. In 2012 the Maserati was then completely restored for its second Dutch owner. The coachwork was repainted from the original “Grigio Scuro” to the current light blue, an original Maserati colour. The matching numbers engine as well as the gearbox and the rest of the mechanical bits received a comprehensive overhaul. The interior was restored with light beige leather and blue carpets. In 2023 the 3500 was taken over by the vendor and imported into Germany. Currently the Maserati is in outstanding condition and will be sold with a Maserati certificate and a exhaustive documentation of its history and restoration. The car has German documents on H-plates and Swiss custom duties have so far not been paid. For a Swiss buyer the car will be custom-cleared by the vendor. 1959 Maserati 3500 GT Touring Oldtimer Galerie International GmbH If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1989 Porsche 930 Slant Nose 1
The ‘flachbau’ version of the 930 (known also as the 930S and in English as the ‘Slantnose’) is a true 1980s icon. Incorporating the more aerodynamically efficient smooth front fenders of the Le Mans-winning 935, the Slantnose was a modern and visually stunning take on the traditional 911 package which helped it transition from being a venerable and somewhat old-fashioned sports car to one of the most iconic and sought-after sports cars of the 80s. Like many Porsche design trends, the aesthetics of the Slantnose had a functional basis on the race track. To reduce drag of their 911-based race cars, engineers removed the headlight pods of the 911 and replaced them with a flat front fenders. This purposeful look captured the hearts and minds of enthusiasts, and as early as 1981, factory Slantnose road cars were being quietly built in small numbers for important customers through the Sonderwunsch (‘special wish’) program. During the same period, there was a proliferation of aftermarket Slantnose conversions, which varied in quality and were sometimes even executed in fiberglass. This demonstrated the significant market demand for the Slantnose, and for the 1987 model year, Porsche made it a publically available (and eye-wateringly expensive) option. Designated with code M505, the Slantnose option cost $29,555 in 1989 (above the $85,000 price tag of the 930 Cabriolet) and included revised front fenders with pop up headlights, boxed rocker extensions, and large vents let into the rear fenders, which serve to admit air for the auxiliary oil cooler on the right side. In 1989, the 930’s last model year, the car received the vastly improved G50 transmission (the first time a 5-speed gearbox was offered in the 930), making the 1989 Slantnose among the rarest 911s of the era. Indeed, just 28 1989 M505 930 Cabriolets were built, representing what was, simply put, the most expensive 911 a customer could buy. This particular Slantnose Cabriolet is a two-owner lifelong California car which was sold new 10 May 1989 by Berkey Imported Cars, Inc. in Pleasanton, California. The included Certificate of Authenticity shows that the car was completed 3 March 1989 and is a genuine M505 car fitted with the following options: California Emissions Steering Wheel w/Raised Hub Tonneau Cover Heated Seat – Left Limited Slip Differential Shorter Gear Shift Lever Amplifier System Slant Nose CD-2 CD Player w/Radio Luggage Compartment Black Velour Bridgestone Tires The pre-delivery inspection was performed with 27 miles on the odometer on the 10th of May 1989 and the car was delivered to a resident of Oakland, California. Berkey continued to service the car early in its life, performing additional maintenance in June of 1990 at 2,508 miles and in March of 1991 with 4,336 miles. Service was performed later on by Michael Stead Porsche in Walnut Creek, California in 1997 and 1999 with 16,021 and 24,330 miles. The first owner consigned the car for sale to Prestige Autohaus, Walnut Creek, CA, where the second and current owner purchased the car in March of 2005. At that time, the car had covered 42,482 miles. Subsequent records by the current owner document the modest 3,000 miles covered by the second owner. Services include regular oil and fluid changes, brake servicing at 44,090 miles, smog tests as needed for up to date California registration, and a new battery in 2014. Today, this remarkably original Porsche is in very nice condition with excellent original Guards Red paint applied over exceptionally nice original factory body panels. Showing only minor paint imperfections, light surface scratches, and minor road chips on the hood, the finish is very satisfying particularly considering the originality of the car. The paint meters below 6 mils on all metal panels. The rubber and black trim are excellent throughout the car. The stance is on correct and desirable 7- and 9-inch Fuchs wheels, are color coded and show minor curb rash on the rear wheels. The glass, lenses, and lights are also in excellent condition other than a chip in the windshield, which has been present since before the current owner purchased the car and has not grown during his 13 years of ownership. The power convertible top is in very nice shape with only minor evidence of use. The electric mechanism works properly and the rear window remains supple and clear. The uniquely optioned Cashmere leather interior is very nicely appointed, having been fitted with the beltline leather package, which includes leather lower dash, HVAC control box, door pulls, and door pocket lids. The overall condition of the materials and surfaces is excellent, including the seats, carpets, and dash. The leather seats show minimal use, with only minor driver’s side bolster wear evident in the leather. The rear seating area appears essentially unused and free of damage, with smoothly hinging rear seatbacks, showing excellent finishes both front and back. The original carpets are in very good condition, showing some areas of light use in typical places, in keeping with the low miles indicated. A set of period tan over mats is included with the car. The dashboard, switches, iconic black-dial instruments with orange needles, and analog controls are excellent and correct, once again showing virtually no evidence of excessive use or long-term sun exposure. The original Porsche-branded CD player is still in place. The engine compartment is mercifully unmodified, a welcome treatment for a 930 Turbo given that so many examples have been altered over the years. The original engine and engine compartment are clean and attractive, offering a very nice presentation consistent with an unmodified example that has been driven minimal miles and properly cared for. The trunk is stock in appearance covered with the optional black velour and housing factory correct spare tire, air compressor, and proper materials and finishes indicative of an original factory preserved Porsche of this vintage. Underneath the car, there is only mild evidence of road use and no indication of structural damage or compromise to the floor or other components. The car starts easily either cold or warm, settles into a smooth idle, and pulls authoritatively when on boost. One of the most defining parts of the experience is the G50 gearbox. While 4-speed 930s suffer from the widely space gears and the vague shift action, the G50 transforms the car. Ratios are closer together, and there is a modernity to the shift action and synchromesh that turns one of the weakest dynamic points of the 930 into one of its strengths. As one might expect from a car of this performance lineage, power is there when needed but the car remains still very usable even in generally mild traffic. The chassis, steering, and suspension are tight, while the 917-derived brakes respond very nicely even under higher demand from highway speeds. This Slantnose comes with the original owner’s manual, service records, an original sales brochure, detailed owners notes and mileage records from 2005, service records from 2005 onward, spare keys, tools, tool roll, air compressor and Certificate of Authenticity confirming this is a factory Slantnose cabriolet delivered with all options featured on this exceptionally original car. Included among the books is the original maintenance booklet which supports the early service history as well as the retaining the original options sticker. This is an exceptionally rare opportunity to acquire a very original low-mileage, well-preserved factory Porsche 930 Slantnose Cabriolet, delivered new in the quintessential 1980s color combination. 930s of all types have appreciated markedly, with rare variants becoming especially collectible. One of only 28 5-speed Slantnose Cabriolets built, this 930 is both rare and beautiful, making it a particularly difficult car to find, ensuring its continued desirability as the Porsche market continues to appreciate and enthusiasts seek out the very best examples of these iconic sports cars. 1989 Porsche 930 Slant Nose Fantasy Junction If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The legacy Colin McRae and his gung-ho, no-holds-barred, seat-of-the-pants driving style forged cannot be downplayed. Virtually single-handedly, he made rallying a household sport in the 1990s, inspiring a generation. And he did so thrashing a blue and yellow Subaru Impreza. While Subaru’s exquisite rollcall of drivers over the years – including Tommy Mäkinen, Juha Kankkunen, Petter Solberg and Richard Burns, to name but a few – led the marque to three Drivers’ and three Constructors’ World Championships, it’s the McRae period from 1997, when the new era of ‘World’ cars were introduced, which remains closest to our hearts. When the World Rally Championship regulations drastically changed ahead of the 1997 season, putting an end to the Group A era, Subaru and its trusted technical partner Prodrive were well prepared. The two-door WRC97, which was styled by the renowned automotive designer Peter Stevens and built using the latest GC8 bodyshell, proved to be a tour de force. It clinched eight victories from 14 events to easily dominate the 1997 World Rally Championship and win the Constructors’ title by a staggering 24 points. Today, these early ‘World’ Imprezas are brilliant and surprisingly accessible cars to own and use, not to mention significant pieces of history from a time when you didn’t need a laptop and a squadron of electricians and data scientists to start and run them. We’ve famously championed the ex-McRae Imprezas, of which this car is among the most famous… ‘R7 WRC’ For the 1998 World Rally Championship, Prodrive made a number of modifications to the Impreza WRC97 using the knowledge gleaned from its 1997 campaign. The lion’s share of the engineers’ attention was the powertrain. The manifolds were reshaped to enhance the packaging of the engine bay, a new turbocharger was fitted boosting power and the anti-lag system – internally amusingly known as ‘push to crash’ – was refined to improve throttle response. ‘R7 WRC’ was among the first batch of Subaru Impreza WRC98s built and registered on 1 January 1998. After a Prodrive shakedown test at the MIRA proving ground in Lancashire, the car was flown to Kenya for its first World Rally Championship event: the 1998 Safari Rally. It was earmarked for the 1995 World Rally Champion Colin McRae and his co-driver Nicky Grist. And it’s fair to say expectations were high: in 1997, McRae and Grist had vanquished the opposition to win by a staggering seven minutes. Oriented around the city of Nairobi, the Safari Rally really was the ultimate test for man and machine, the cars and their drivers having to endure treacherous terrain and sweltering cockpit temperatures on what was then the longest event on the calendar. To make matters worse, new rules for 1997 meant teams were no longer permitted to use service helicopters. That meant if a car needed to be repaired, it had to be done either by the pilots at the side of the road or at the designated service parks. As a result, ‘R7 WRC’ was built to ‘safari’ specification, which differed to ‘tarmac’ or ‘gravel’ Imprezas in a number of crucial ways. Visually, the car sits much higher to allow for greater ground clearance over the rocky terrain and for the damper top mounts to be mounted on the underside of the body shell, rather than inside. For wading through deep water, a carbon-fibre snorkel was fitted, raising the air intake to the roof. And to avoid large wildlife causing damage to the car, heavy-duty bull bars were fitted directly to the chassis, mounted both behind and ahead of the front bumper. In the boot, there was an extra spare wheel and an enlarged 120-litre capacity. The drivers themselves received no such special measures. A film of heat-shielding reflective window tint and additional spotlights on the wing mirrors were deemed sufficient for McRae and Grist. The main talking point ahead of the 1998 Safari Rally was the intense rainfall in the weeks prior, which had flooded the rivers and washed the stages clear of sand, leaving behind an un-cushioned bed of punishing rocks. It had also turned the stunning African landscape a deep shade of luscious green. Day one’s six special stages stretched a staggering 364 kilometres from Nairobi south into the bush – further than most rallies cover in three days. After a strong start, McRae and Grist encountered an unforeseen issue on the second special stage of the rally when the chunky tread on their rear Pirelli tyres tore away under the intense high-speed load, resulting in a double puncture. Four minutes were lost to the leader Tommi Mäkinen in the process of changing the rears, though a dogged McRae was undeterred. “If you drop four minutes in a European event you’re out and that’s it,” he said safely back in the service park, “but here in Kenya it’s not such a problem.” A slight change to the camber of his Subaru was made to relieve the load on the rear wheels, after which the comeback was on. Four special stages remained on day one of the rally and, amazingly, McRae won all of them with what looked to be relative ease. ‘R7 WRC’ was back in the fight. McRae and Grist picked things up on day two just as they’d left off on day one: in decisive fashion. The day’s special stages traversed the spectacular ridge of the Great Rift Valley, with competitors crossing the equator several times in the process. Alas, Lady Luck unleashed her cruel wrath towards the end of the leg, when the Subaru’s engine began to falter – the result of oil so hot it was boiling. Despite the best efforts of Prodrive’s engineers back at service, McRae and Grists’ race was run. The 1995 World Rally Champion drove only two Subaru Impreza WRC cars on the world’s toughest rally: ‘P8 WRC’ in 1997 and ‘R7 WRC’ in 1998. Here at Girardo & Co., we have been honoured to encounter and rehome both of these incredibly special rally cars. Post-Works career Its factory duties complete, ‘R7 WRC’ was returned to Prodrive and, like most of its competition counterparts, sold and subsequently used as a privateer entry in domestic and international rallies across Europe. It’s important to note that this Impreza was photographed partially disassembled at Prodrive around the time it was sold and the Safari-specific points on the bodyshell are visible. In 2017, ‘R7 WRC’ was acquired by an English collector who immediately commissioned the Oxfordshire-based competition Subaru specialist Autosportif Engineering to comprehensively restore this Impreza to its factory specification, both mechanically and cosmetically. Undertaken over the course of two years, the project was exhaustive and put the onus on reinstating the specific details that make Safari-prepared Imprezas unique. As a result, Autosportif was able to source a plethora of original Prodrive-built Safari components. These included (but were by no means limited to) the carbon-fibre A-pillar-mounted snorkel, the bull bars, the enlarged 12-litre fuel tank, the wing-mirror spotlights and even the Coralba rally computers used by Nicky Grist. Steve Goddard’s SGM Race Paint was charged with applying this Subaru’s signature shade of blue – fitting, as it painted (and continues to paint) almost all of Prodrive’s competition cars. And the instantly recognisable 555 Subaru World Rally Team livery was reapplied in perfect period-correct detail, down to the 1998 Safari Rally-specific decals. Upon the completion of its restoration, ‘R7 WRC’ was exhibited by its owner at the 2019 Goodwood Festival of Speed, where it proved a real fan favourite. Less than a year later, we were able to find ‘R7 WRC’ a fantastic new home with a UK-based collector new to the world of rally cars. He enjoyed the car on several occasions, driving it – as intended – on the world-famous Forest Rally Stage at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and even at Walter’s Arena, the stages of which were actually encompassed in the Rally of Great Britain back in the late-1990s. BGMsport maintained the Subaru throughout his ownership, ensuring it remained in the finest possible fettle. Two years later, in November of 2022, we were privileged to sell ‘R7 WRC’ for the second time, on this occasion to an Italian collector based in Emilia-Romagna. In addition to entering the Impreza in the fiercely popular RallyLegend in San Marino, he also accepted Goodwood’s invitation to have the car at the Festival of Speed in 2025, where it formed part of the class celebrating 30 years since Colin McRae’s 1995 World Rally Championship title. Over the course of the weekend, the car contested the world-famous hill-climb in the hands of two very special guest drivers: Colin’s nephew Max McRae and Bugatti-Rimac’s chief test-driver Miro Zrncevic Mrgud. The latter had a lifelong dream to drive one of Colin’s Imprezas and his overwhelming emotion having realised it was incredible special to see. Following its Goodwood appearance, the Subaru returned to us here at Belchers Farm to be offered for sale once again. In the time since, we’ve commissioned a cosmetic refresh, which included repainting sections of the bodywork that had been stone-chipped, reapplying the legendary 555 Subaru World Rally Team livery and fitting new tyres. The car has also been professionally detailed. Today, this fabulous Subaru stands as an incredibly significant piece of rallying – and, in turn, Colin McRae – history. And having experienced this Impreza now on the three occasions we’ve been privileged to offer it, we must also point out what an exhilarating and remarkably accessible beast it is to own and drive. ‘R7 WRC’ flatters its driver with the way it’s set up. It’s always welcomed enthusiastically, whether a high-profile event or simply out on the public roads. There’s also an indescribably special feeling knowing Colin McRae sat and gripped the same wheel. Without doubt, this very car had a hand in inspiring an entire generation of car lovers. 1998 Subaru Impreza WRC98 Safari Girardo & Co. Produced in December 1986, chassis 30311 was sold by Ford Motorsport Company Limited on January 7, 1987 to Ford France SA, before being assigned to the R.E.D. UK team. It was delivered with French registration 6985 PM 92 and entered directly into international competition. Driven by Didier Auriol, the car competed in the 1987 Corsica and Sanremo Rallies, both counting toward the World Rally Championship. In Corsica, Auriol finished eighth overall, followed by an exceptional fourth place at Sanremo—results that surpassed expectations and underscored both driver and machine. Auriol would go on to win the 1987 French Rally Championship in this very car. At the conclusion of the 1988 season, chassis 30311 returned to R.E.D. UK, where it was rebuilt by team owner Pete Doughty. In 1991, the car competed in the Mazda Winter Rally, using UK registration C236 HVW, carried over from Doughty’s previous Sierra. Later that year, it was sold to Fenwick Stuart, who famously campaigned the car at the 1991 Condroz Rally, retaining the iconic “33 EXPORT” livery associated with its 1987 season. In 1998, the car was acquired by Corey Brian, who undertook a comprehensive restoration to original Group A specification, carefully preserving its period-correct configuration and competition character. The car remained in England for decades, passing through knowledgeable custodians, before being sold in 2022 by Darrell Taylor, its final UK-based owner. Today, chassis 30311 retains its original documentation, period service plans, and extensive historical records. It is currently registered in the UK as D299 UUJ and represents one of the most thoroughly documented and historically significant Sierra RS Cosworth Group A cars in existence. With direct factory provenance, World Championship history, and association with a future world champion, this Sierra stands as a cornerstone example of Ford’s Group A legacy. 1987 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS Gr.A ISSIMI, Inc If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The current owner acquired this car around 5 years ago to accompany a large collection of British cars and he wished to apply his own stamp to make it unique. The car was completely repainted in a striking ‘Chilli Red’ as used on the Range Rover Sport. The interior was reupholstered and extensive mechanical work undertaken. The paint is spectacular and generally excellent across the car. However, on close inspection there has been a paint reaction on a small area to the rear of the turret and also in the area under the rear passenger window. However, they do not detract from the overall appearance and are only visible on close inspection. Externally modifications include the use of Series 1 bumpers (removing the overriders), the use of Series 3 door handles, boot lid and tail lights with modern badging and grill treatment. New alloy wheels are also present giving it a more purposeful stance. Inside the car is a lovely place to be. You are greeted by a period-correct sports steering wheel which compliments the car well. The gauges and dash are all in excellent order. The car has now has black carpets and the interior has been upholstered using a more practical light magnolia vinyl of excellent quality (you would think it was leather). The headlining presents as new. The owner has also improved the speed of the rear window action by introducing relays in their circuits. Overall, the interior is just wonderful. A new air-conditioning kit was purchased with the majority of it installed however it needs some final connection to be operational. Other notable work includes a refurbished gearbox, fitment of a Spiteri 6 branch exhaust manifold, refreshed wiring harness, complete exhaust, and other engine components. The engine itself runs with triple SU carburettors and reputedly has a warmed cam fitted making for a spirited drive when required. Unfortunately, the owner now needs to sell the car prior to its completion however it is drivable with only minor items required to finish it including the AC and the need to attend to a small weep from one of the fuel tanks. He has invested over $50,000 in the car excluding the purchase price. A good history file accompanies the car. The XJ-C is a relatively rare car made only between 1975 and 1977 and in quite limited numbers. Their pillarless shape has always attracted a following with collectors. Although not one for the purists this represents and great opportunity for the next owner to acquire a spectacular car for a fraction of the investment made. - 1967 Bizzarrini 5300 GT
Giotto Bizzarrini, who died in May 2023, was a former Ferrari chief engineer and designer of the legendary Ferrari 250 GTO. After a dispute with Enzo Ferrari and the subsequent dismissal, he founded his own company in the 1960s, which was initially called "Autostar" and from 1965 was known as "Automobile Bizzarrini SpA". Initially he mainly built cars and engines for Ferrari, Lamborghini and Iso Grifo and in 1963 he began building cars under his own name with the Bizzarrini GT 5300. The car offered here is one of the last examples built before Bizzarrini went bankrupt in 1969. It could no longer be completed at that time, and so the chassis and a large package of parts were bought from the bankruptcy estate in 1973 by an Italian. In 2010, the Bizzarrini became the property of Mr. Mario M., also Italian, who immediately began restoring it to the highest standards of originality. He was supported by Stefano Volpi, Bizzarrini's former chief racing mechanic. From 2015-2018, a German company, in coordination with the previous owner and with the help of Stefano Volpi, completed the GT5300 with the greatest effort and expertise. Where possible, the original parts from the 1960s were used. The character of the car has been enhanced through the use of various "Corsa specifications", the engine has been rebuilt with racing parts and has around 400 hp. The Bizzarrini has been registered in Germany with historical license plates since 2019 and has only driven 300 km since the restoration work was completed. 1967 Bizzarrini 5300 GT DLS Automobile If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1963 Jaguar E-Type Series 4
The E-Type Jaguar debuted at the 1961 Geneva Motorshow as a replacement for the hugely successful Jaguar XK150. The new E-Type was nothing short of a revelation, with its heady blend of supercar performance, breath taking styling and low price tag, the newcomer left its rivals reeling and customers desperate to own one. Designed by William Lyons and Malcolm Sayer the “Series 1” was launched in 1961 in both fixed head coupe and roadster form with design inspiration taken from the Le-Mans winning D-Type sports racer. Built around a steel monocoque chassis with a front sub-frame to cradle the engine, all-round independent suspension using coil springs and dampers to the rear with torsion bars and wishbones to the front. Brakes were Dunlop discs all round, mounted inboard to the rear alongside the differential to reduce un-sprung weight. Powered by Jaguar’s XK series twin-cam straight six engine, this offered breath taking performance to rival both Ferrari and Aston Martin. The E-Type still remains one of the greatest car designs ever, with Enzo Ferrari famously describing it as “the most beautiful car in the world.” The Bespoke built, 1963 Jaguar E-Type Roadster 4.7 Litre Semi-Lightweight offered here at Autostorico was commissioned by a discerning British classic car collector who had always admired Eagle’s Spyder GT. He enlisted the talents of Adam Redding, a well-known classic car restorer, to build the ultimate, no expense spared, E-Type. The project began with a 1963 Series 1 Roadster which was totally dismantled before work began building it back up. The body alone took over 3,000 man-hours to complete. The lack of bumpers are the first element you notice but the re-sculpting goes way beyond that. The bespoke built, all-alloy, bonnet has been de-seamed and incorporates flared arches with a deep front valance and welded in louvers. Towards the rear of the car the handcrafted, muscular haunches give the E-Type a more purposeful stance. Whilst the flaring of the arches looks impressive it is also necessary to house the 6×16 Torrino alloy and chrome wire wheels with custom spinners. Finished in Rolls-Royce Midnight Blue with St James Red Conolly hide and Dark Blue Wilton carpets, the interior is every bit as sumptuous as one might expect including many hidden luxuries such as: heated seats, air-conditioning, DAB radio and Bluetooth phone system whilst still retaining period instruments and a Moto Lita steering wheel. Mechanically the car is built for fast road use, with its engine bored out to 4.7 litre specification with large up-rated valves, upgraded water pump, timing chains, forged con-rods, custom flywheel, large bore oil pump, forged pistons, electronic fuel injection, hand polished cam box covers, braised cooling pipes, uprated race cooling system including large cooling fan, aluminium lightweight radiator and header tank, complete stainless steel exhaust system including manifold, electronic ignition, high output starter motor, 4-pot AF Racing brake callipers with large ventilated brake discs, Koni adjustable shock absorbers, modern electric fuel pump, silicone hoses, halogen headlights, modern alternator with V-belt with aluminium pulley upgrades, up-rated power steering mounts, up-rated torsion bars with adjustable height conversion, up-rated anti roll bar drop links and bushes, high power brake servo with polished stainless steel heat shield and up-rated rear suspension mounts plus anti roll bar links & bushings. Presented in excellent condition this stunning E-Type must be one of the finest currently on the market and is offered for sale at a fraction of the cost of an equivalent Eagle built car. 1963 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 Autostorico Partners LLP If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1963-jaguar-e-type-series-i-38-litre-semi-lightweight-coup-fia
This Jaguar E-Type Series I 3.8 Coupé is a race-prepared, FIA-compliant example of the iconic classic British sports coupé that’s enjoyed success at the Silverstone Classic, the Donington Historic Festival and Equipe Classic Racing meets at Oulton Park and Snetterton. Its first outing, after being rebuilt five years ago, was the 60th Anniversary E-Type Challenge at the Silverstone Classic in 2021, when it finished a very impressive second in monsoon conditions driven by Danny Winstanley. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PfHSAumihw). At that time, it was still fitted with a 317bhp straight-port, steel-block engine but the car is now powered by a dry-sump, all-alloy 3.8-litre Crosthwaite and Gardiner wide-angle straight-six, which sends its power to the rear wheels via a rebuilt 'EJ' 4-speed manual transmission and a 3.77:1 limited-slip differential. The car is classically finished in Old English White with contrasting red and blue racing stripes and sits on 15" magnesium wheels with 3-spoke knock-offs, wrapped in Dunlop Racing tyres. Equipment includes a differential cooler, uprated driveshafts, an alloy radiator and header tank, oil cooler, uprated anti-roll bars, lightweight brake callipers, lightweight plastic windows, front and rear tow hooks, full cage, Tillett bucket seat (2026), Lifeline harness, OMP fire extinguisher system, 3-spoke Sparco steering wheel and a heated windscreen. The FIA Historic Technical Passport (HTP) is valid until 31 December 2029. In preparation for the 2024 season, the car was fitted with a new 100-litre foam-filled baffled alloy fuel tank, new fuel lines, a replacement propshaft and clutch, re-valved Koni dampers, new front brake pads and MSD ignition. The fire extinguisher was also serviced, the suspension arms and nuts/bolts were zinc-plated and the underside and engine bay were resprayed, including powder-coating the engine frames. In November 2024, the engine was refreshed with new bearings, valve springs, crankshaft damper, clutch, oil, and filters. The Jaguar is road-registered (BRU 387A) and could be driven to events, sprints, hill climbs etc. (on road tyres) and even used on road-rallies but its prime function is as a very competitive racer. The most recent MOT test was on 15 March 2021 at an indicated 75,058 miles, which was a first time pass. In addition to the aforementioned FIA/HTP, the car is accompanied by its V5C, old MOTs, set up notes, invoices etc. and a collection of spare parts, as listed below. Various YouTube clips of the car can be found by searching 'Danny Winstanley Etype'. This is a rare opportunity to acquire an exceptionally successful Semi-Lightweight with many outright wins to its name - recent engine rebuild, fully prepped for the 2025 season and FIA/HTP to 31st December 2029. The E-Type is only being sold to make way for a new racing project, this is a seriously competitive car with the bonus it has been prepared for the upcoming season - a true turn-key competition car!
