  • 1992 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione ‘Martini 5’

The World Rally Championship rulebook was rewritten for 1987. The hallowed Group B chapter had come to an end, making way for Group A machinery that was much more closely related to the production cars available to buy in showrooms. For the new era, Lancia hit the ground running as the great Juha Kankkunen guided the Delta pocket rocket to Drivers’ and Manufacturers’ title glory. This kickstarted the most successful streak in WRC history. As the Delta evolved—courtesy of homologation road car specials that introduced increased engine power, wider track width, bigger brakes, improved suspension, and more—variants of the model went on to claim six championships in succession. With drivers Miki Biasion and Carlos Sainz Sr sharing the glory with Kankkunen, the clean sweep stretched to 1992. The limited-edition Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione ‘Martini 5’, as the name suggests, was launched as a celebration of Lancia triumphing for the fifth time in a row in 1991. Decorated along the shoulder line and on the boot lid with the famous red-and-blue stripes of the rally car’s period sponsor Martini, just 400 were built. They featured a 16-valve, turbocharged, 2-litre four-cylinder engine delivering 210 horsepower via a five-speed manual gearbox and permanent four-wheel drive. The ‘Martini 5’ also gained rally-style 15-inch wheels plus suede bucket seats up front complemented by red stitching and red seat belts. Offered here is the 388th example. While its early history is not definitively known, the car has more recently resided since in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Lancia benefits from an extensive May 2022 recommissioning service, which included replacing the timing belt and clutch, rebuilding the turbocharger, and overhauling the brakes and suspension. Accompanied by a spare wheel, tool kit, jack, owner’s guides, and service book, this 'Martini 5' celebration of history-making WRC success is sure to appeal to motorsport enthusiasts and collectors. 1992 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione ‘Martini 5’ RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1974 Ferrari 365 BB

Delivered new to Australia in October 1974 via the Victoria-based importer WH Lowe, this beautifully presented Ferrari 365 BB was displayed at the Melbourne Motor Show early the following year. Chassis number 18159 was originally finished in Argento with a Beige interior, and the first owner was Dr John Pierce. In November 1980, Pierce sold the Ferrari to Barry Batagol, a marque enthusiast who also owned a 400 Superamerica, a 750 Monza and a 512 BB. His wife Cheryl subsequently drove the 365 BB in a Ferrari class at an Alfa Romeo Owners Club sprint at Winton Raceway in Victoria, and she not only won the Lance Dixon Trophy for the fastest Ferrari, but also the CF Barnes Trophy for being the fastest lady driver on the day. In spring 1981, the pinion shaft broke in the original transaxle, a common fault with early Boxers, so Ferrari supplied a replacement unit from a 512. He subsequently sold the original unit to New Zealand, and the history file includes a number of letters regarding the replacement and sale. Batagol offered the Ferrari for sale in October 1986, by which time it had covered 23,000 miles. It was acquired by Barry Jorgensen the following month, then sold to a UK-based owner in mid-1988. It was put into dry storage in 1989 and emerged in time to be sold by RM Sotheby’s at its Paris sale in 2014. The 365 BB was subsequently recommissioned and returned to the road, with invoices showing that it was looked after by noted marque specialists such as Bob Houghton and Cotswold Prestige Cars. More recently, it has benefitted from further restoration work that’s included a respray in its original Argento. Between 2015 and 2017, the engine was removed, cleaned and painted, a new flywheel was fitted. The suspension was also removed, inspected and rebuilt at the same time, the five-spoke Campagnolo wheels were refurbished, and the brake calipers were stripped and replated. In Summer 2024 the cambelt was replaced, the carburettors were rebuilt, and ancillaries such as the starter motor and alternator were overhauled. The end result is an exceptional example of this strikingly charismatic Italian supercar, which is now being offered for sale with an extensive history file that includes the UK Service Record and the Instruction Book, as well as a complete tool kit. 1974 Ferrari 365 BB The Classic Motor Hub If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1966-ford-cortina-lotus

This 1966 Ford Cortina GT Mk1 has been transformed into a faithful Lotus Cortina–style replica, capturing the spirit of one of Ford’s most legendary cars of the 1960s. Finished in the classic Lotus livery of white with green side flashes, a black bonnet, and proper steel wheels with dish-style hubcaps, it exudes vintage motorsport character while benefiting from carefully selected upgrades that make it an outstanding driver for both road and rally use. Car Cave purchased this Cortina on May 5, 2025, just north of Lisbon in Madalena and Beselga, Portugal. The previous owner had stripped and rebuilt the car with full intentions of competing in vintage racing, but health issues prevented him from racing. His work included a complete exterior respray and a full overhaul of the engine, transmission, clutch, and supporting systems. After a quick inspection in Lisbon, Chris and Emre from Car Cave put the Cortina straight to the test on the Spring 2026 GOAT Tour, a grueling 2,000-kilometer rally through Portugal and southern Spain. From mountain passes to ferry crossings, the Cortina proved its capabilities, keeping pace with Porsches and even a Lancia Delta Integrale Evo. Tour highlights included Portimão, the Magic Cactus beach bar, Alte, Barranco do Velho, Faro, Aznalcóllar, Seville, Cádiz, Grazalema, and Marbella. Despite being fresh off a rebuild, the Cortina completed the entire event with only a few expected field adjustments. Power comes from a freshly rebuilt 1600 Ford Crossflow Kent engine fitted with a high-flow oil pump, water pump, and lightened flywheel. Weber carb, a stainless long-tube manifold, and custom exhaust give it the proper sporting voice, while cooling is managed by a high-output radiator with electric fan. Electrical demands are handled by an uprated Escort MK3 alternator. Power is delivered through a new hydraulic clutch to a Ford Type 9 five-speed gearbox with a short-shift kit, which provides modern usability with period charm. The suspension has been fully renewed with new arms, silent blocks, ball joints, rear leaf springs, and fresh shocks on all four corners. Braking has been modernized with servo assistance, larger ventilated front discs paired with Ford Sierra Cosworth 2WD calipers, and rebuilt uprated rear brakes. Once in the United States, Car Cave completed additional mechanical work including installation of a new fuel tank, sending unit, fuel lines, lock ring, hardware, a differential fluid change, and rewiring of the rally lights. Inside, the Cortina has been prepared for both road and rally use. Features include new sports seats with racing seat belts, a hydraulic drift handbrake, rally-style steering wheel, updated instrumentation, power kill switches, upgraded pedals, a passenger footrest, and a relocated battery mounted in the boot for weight balance and safety. Styled in the unmistakable Lotus Cortina livery, this Cortina left the factory as a 1.5L GT Mk1. Today it sits on Lotus Cortina–style 5.5J x 13-inch steel wheels with chrome hubcaps and Nankang 185/70 R13 racing tires. A set of auxiliary rally lamps are mounted up front, ready for blasting through the backroads and mountain passes of rural Spain and Portugal. This 1966 Ford Cortina GT Mk1 combines the iconic Lotus Cortina look with extensive upgrades and proven event history. Purchased just one day before the Spring 2026 GOAT Tour, it immediately set off and successfully completed the demanding event without major issues. From mountain switchbacks to coastal stretches, this Cortina delivers the lightweight, engaging drive that made the original a legend. Fully sorted and event-proven, it is ready for its next adventure—whether on tour, rally, or spirited backroad blasts. 1966 Ford Cortina Lotus Car Cave USA If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1956 Porsche 356 A 1600 Speedster by Reutter

Correspondence with Porsche shows that this US-specification 356 A Speedster was built in June 1956. Originally finished in white over a red interior and equipped with a 1600 S air-cooled, flat-four engine numbered 61934 (according to a copy of the Kardex) it was imported to New York via Max Hoffmann’s famed distributor. After a stint in Jacksonville, Florida, the repainted car was advertised for sale in the 21 July 1986 edition of Antique, Custom & Sportscar Trader. Described as having had a “complete professional restoration, original and correct, red lacquer, black interior”, the asking price was $21,000. It was purchased by The Aumann Collection, who smartly negotiated the price down to $19,000, before enjoying the Speedster in Sarasota. Chassis 82351 was then shipped from Miami to Bremerhaven, Germany in May 1994. Complemented by a history file, tool roll, tonneau cover, and spare wheel, this 356 further benefits from long-term custodianship and is ready to be driven in its current form or is a contender for renewed restoration. 1956 Porsche 356 A 1600 Speedster by Reutter RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1970 Maserati Mistral

Launched in November 1963 at the Salone Internazionale dell’Automobile di Torino, the Maserati Mistral was the last model produced by the Casa del Tridente to boast the company’s infamous twin-spark dual-overhead cam straight-six engine—as fitted to Maserati 250F Grand Prix cars. Later Mistrals received 4.0-litre powerplants that produced 265 horsepower. From 1963 to 1970, only 828 coupés were built. In 1968, Stanley W. Good Jr enteted a Mistral Coupé into the prestigious and legendary Pebble Beach Conours of Elegance and won "Best of Show", underpinning the attractive Maserati's top-class credentials. Rolling off the production line on 10 March 1969, this Mistral is a late example, and was supplied with the rare option of Campagnolo wheels, as seen on the Ghibli. Destined for France, it arrived at Thepenier dealership in Paris on 12 March 1969, with the appropriate yellow headlamps, while the car sported the beautiful colour scheme of Rame Metallizzato over a Nero leather interior. First registered in March 1970, Mr Moschetti took delivery of that car in 1983. It was registered with license number 9061 VZ 95, and in 1987, it was sold to Marie Helenne Lindemann who registered it on 3299 PX 92. Then, it was acquired by the current owner in 1988, who initially used this Mistral to drop his children off at school, which he fondly remembers! Since then, the car has remained static, and will require recommissioning before returning to the road. Following inspection, Maserati Classiche has confirmed the car retains its matching-numbers engine, and today the car presents in its factory-correct colour scheme. The odometer reads 42,389 kilometres at the time of cataloguing, while the car is accompanied by Maserati Classiche data, a tool kit, and spare Campagnolo wheel. For all French Maserati enthusiasts, this Mistral 4.0 provides the opportunity to acquire an exciting project that still retains its Lucas fuel injection system, and is crying out to be returned to its former glory. 1970 Maserati Mistral RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1953 Ferrari 250 Europa Vignale

Although Ferrari is among the most globally-recognized Italian brands today, the company was largely unheard of in 1953. Ferrari began producing cars in 1947 (barely: three cars were built, followed by five more in 1948, and 21 in 1949), and 1953 was noteworthy because it was the first year during which they produced more than fifty cars. Nevertheless, the fledgling company won Le Mans for the first time in 1949, and among motorsport enthusiasts, it was a familiar name since Enzo Ferrari had successfully run Alfa Romeo’s sensational Grand Prix racing team during the 1930s. As early as 1949, Ferrari produced road cars, understanding that enthusiastic and wealthy owners would part with cash to drive a thoroughbred racing car on the street, something which interested Enzo only so far as the cash part was concerned. His first love was racing, a deeply costly activity, and the sales of road cars to bankroll motorsport has been an integral part of the Ferrari business since its earliest years. Aside from a handful of exceptions, Ferrari almost never styled their cars or built the bodies themselves during these early years, and accordingly, there were no standardized designs for what a Ferrari looked like. During this period, a variety of coachbuilders, almost always Italian, designed and built the bodies for Ferraris: firms like Allemano, Bertone, Ghia, Pinin Farina, Scaglietti, Touring, Vignale, and Zagato. Although Pinin Farina bodied some of the very first Ferraris built, their status as the default stylist for Ferrari’s road cars was not yet established at this point. At the beginning, road cars were most frequently bodied by Touring, although by 1950, Enzo began to shift this work to Vignale. The Vignale firm was still quite new, having been founded in 1948 by Alfredo Vignale, who began working as a panel beater at Stabilimenti Farina as soon as he finished elementary school. Just 33 years old when he started his own firm, he often worked closely with the wildly talented Giovanni Michelotti, who had also started his career at Stabilimenti Farina. Together, they were prolific and immensely creative. The bodies they designed, especially for Ferrari, were very different from what other coachbuilders were making for roadgoing Ferraris at the time. Most of the other designers produced cars that were spare, clean, and occasionally on the formal side, a reflection of the postwar austerity and the shifting stylistic conventions as designs sought to put distance between the fantastical, art-deco, streamlined designs of the 1930s and the new modern aesthetic that was then emerging. In contrast, Vignale designs were bold and flamboyant, in addition to usually being more low-slung and athletic. They also tended to be highly-detailed, intricate, and ornate even: they were fond of using port holes, scoops, vents, and recessed lights, all of which almost always punctuated by chrome trim. Other Vignale trademarks included two-tone paint schemes, chrome beltline trim inside and out (usually adorned with characteristic undulating etchings inside the car), and plenty of other brightwork. Their interiors were no less spectacular, with rich materials, occasionally lurid color schemes, and a wealth of decorative touches such as engraved silver and chrome trim on the dashboard and door hardware, switchgear, ashtrays, and really anywhere else handy. The resulting cars were incredibly decadent and bespoke: truly coachbuilt in a way that differs starkly from the standardized Pinin Farina designs of just a few years later. From 1950 to 1954, Vignale bodied more than 150 Ferraris and hundreds of non-Ferrari cars, but despite their prolific output, the cars were effectively one-offs. No Vignale body design fitted to a Ferrari was built in more than about a dozen copies, with many designs being used far fewer times. This particular car, 250 Europa serial number 0313EU, is representative of this. There is only one other car wearing this body in existence, although it is fitted to a different model of Ferrari, a 375 America, which shares its wheelbase and chassis design with this car. A second 375 America had a very similar body, effectively the same design but with different headlight and front fender treatment. A total of 22 250 Europas were built, of which 18 were bodied by Pinin Farina and three received closed Vignale bodywork. This car is the second of those three, with the first one wearing a different body design and the third one wearing an unknown Vignale coupe design because it was destroyed in a fatal accident in the Northeastern United States in the late 1950s. The 250 Europa model is significant for a number of reasons. It was the first of the enduring and iconic 250 line and with so many of them bodied by Pinin Farina, it represented a critical shift toward standardization of design that was required for Ferrari to grow into a volume manufacturer. This also laid the groundwork for a partnership that would see Pininfarina design every standard Ferrari production car for for nearly 60 years (308 GT4 notwithstanding), a collaboration that finally ended with the 2012 Ferrari F12, after which design work was brought in house to Centro Stile Ferrari. Confusingly, although the 250 Europa has a 3.0 liter V12 like every other 250, it is actually a different engine, being the long block Lampredi design used in the 340, 375, and 410, and not the Colombo 250 engine, which displaces 10cc less (2953cc against 2963cc) and has a shorter stroke of 58.8mm instead of 68mm. The Lampredi engine is physically larger and employs screw-in cylinder liners which allow the cylinder bore and thus displacement to be adjusted with relative ease. The result of this is that the 250 Europa feels more similar to the very early Ferraris than it does to the other variants of the 250, especially because of the Europa’s chassis and suspension design. On this car, that impression is heightened by the stunning Vignale body, which is intricately detailed and fabulously coachbuilt in feel, both inside and out. As befits such an extraordinary car, this example, 0313EU, has a fascinating story. It was completed in late 1953 and dispatched to Luigi Chinetti, then based in Manhattan. This car was the first Ferrari to be sent to the United States by the factory and thus it started a legendary decades-long commercial relationship between Chinetti and Ferrari. This relationship was doubtless spurred by the fact that Chinetti was responsible Ferrari’s first ever 24 Hours of Le Mans victory in 1949, personally driving the winning 166MM for all but 90 minutes of the race. Once 0313EU arrived in New York, it was displayed by Chinetti at the New York Motor Show during the last week of January of 1954, finished in the colors it wears today: Tabacco with Bruno Siena roof and beige leather interior. Chinetti repainted the car red with black roof before selling it to its first owner, Mike Garber of Framingham, Massachusetts. In April of 1958, the car’s second owner, George Parker, of Rome, New York, bought it for $4,900 plus a traded in Aston Martin. He used the car as his primary transport, and after getting married and taking a new job in San Diego, California in March of 1959, he drove 0313EU across the United States, a trip it made largely uneventfully aside from a leaking oil hose causing a delay twice. Parker’s growing family forced the sale of 0313EU in about 1960 and it was subsequently painted purple, fitted with nerf bars in lieu of the bumpers, and the original engine removed and replaced with a supercharged Corvette engine. By 1968, the car was red once more (this time without the black roof or hood spine), and still in Southern California, where it remained until a Northern California owner purchased it in 1976. It eventually fell into disuse and remained in dry storage in a garage in Palo Alto until being purchased by Tom Shaughnessy in 2003. He showed the car, then in need of restoration, at the Quail in 2004, and eventually sold the car on to Heinrich Kämpfer, a Swiss collector and Vignale specialist in 2009. At this time, 0313EU was very much unrestored, being finished in old red paint and missing its bumpers. Kämpfer set about performing a painstaking restoration with an exceptional eye toward authenticity. This included locating correct type nitrocellulose paint and mixing it to match 0313EU’s original color scheme. The leather was supplied by the same company, Arbo, which was originally used to trim the car in 1953. The missing bumpers were carefully recreated and plated together with the remaining brightwork. Every aspect of the car was carefully restored, both cosmetic and mechanical. Wherever possible, the original unrestored components were used as patterns, ranging from the netting for the headliner-mounted map pockets to the construction of the backing panels and insulation on door panels. A correct type 3 liter Lampredi engine, number 331, was located, rebuilt, dyno tested (at 5 hp more than the factory rating) and installed as well. All in, the restoration totaled nearly 5,000 man hours over the course of a remarkably short two years, in time for the car to publicly debut at Villa d’Este in May of 2012. At this event, the car won the Trofeo Foglizzo Award for best interior design. In early 2013, the car completed its Classiche certification, and was subsequently sold to an American collector via Bonhams. In 2015, the car was shown at Cavallino, where it achieved Platinum, in addition to winning the Classiche Cup. The car was featured on the cover of Cavallino magazine, and was also featured in Automobile Magazine in 2014. Since the restoration, the car has passed through the hands of a few American collectors and remains in superb condition, with light mellowing to the restoration but still presents stunningly. The car runs and drives extremely well. The engine is well-tuned and produces the magnificent, bassy, aggressive exhaust note unique to the Lampredi engine. Despite a displacement of 3 liters, it commands attention like no Colombo engine does, even the 5 liter ones. The engine carburetes well, has excellent throttle response, and pulls cleanly and evenly through the rev range. The synchromesh is effective and the gearchange robust and substantial in feel. The brakes are confidence-inspiring and symmetrical in their operation, while the steering is direct and free of excessive play. The chassis and suspension function as designed, offering a glimpse into the heroic character of the drivers who drove these early Ferraris in anger. s/n 0313EU represents an extraordinary opportunity to acquire a highly significant and unique early Ferrari, one which is presented with superlative attention to detail and incredible fidelity to its original configuration. Perhaps one of the most exciting parts of 0313EU is the extent to which it represents such a particular moment in Ferrari’s history. Among the last Ferraris bodied by Vignale, it comes from the end of the formative coachbuilt era of Ferrari’s history. At the same time, it is one of the first 250s built and accordingly, it forms an important part of Ferrari’s transition to being an established manufacturer. Additionally, 0313EU is intimately tied to Luigi Chinetti and is therefore highly significant to Ferrari’s entrée into the American market, which rapidly became Ferrari’s largest market, something which would persist for nearly 70 years. 0313EU’s appeal is further enhanced by the fact that it one of a small number of Ferraris powered by the Lampredi engine, whose unique character is incredibly singular, even compared to the iconic Colombo engine. Included with the car is the Classiche red book, two binders of documentation and photographs substantiating the car’s history and its restoration, Massini report, and Vignale-branded luggage. 1953 Ferrari 250 Europa Vignale ISSIMI, Inc If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The notice and take down procedure is described here: https://www.speedholics.com/copyright Although Ferrari is among the most globally-recognized Italian brands today, the company was largely unheard of in 1953.
