The Khamsin was presented as a prototype at the 1972 Turin Motor Show. The production version of the Khamsin was presented by Maserati at the 1973 Geneva Motor Show and went into series production at the end of the same year. The very elegant design was created by Bertone’s star designer Marcello Gandini. The hydraulic components from Citroen give the car an unparalleled ease of driving. This beautiful Maserati was delivered to its first Swiss owner, Dott. Giacomo Ghezzi, in early 1976. In 1978 it changed hands to Markus Limacher – Limacher AG, an established Maserati and Ferrari dealer. It remained there for 30 years until it came to the current owner via its third Swiss owner in 2013. The last two owners alone invested over €100,000 in the vehicle. The vehicle is full-matching and one of the technically best Khamsins offered on the market. All work was carried out by renowned workshops. Only 435 units were produced from 1974 to 1982.
