The Ferrari 208 Turbo was introduced by Ferrari in 1982 as the turbocharged evolution of the earlier Ferrari 208 GTB/GTS, developed specifically for the Italian market, where taxation heavily penal-ized cars with engines exceeding two litres in displacement. To address this requirement, Ferrari equipped the model with a 1,991 cc V8 fitted with a KKK turbocharger, delivering significantly improved performance compared to the naturally aspirated version while remaining within the two-litre fiscal limit. The car shares its architecture and proportions with the well-known Ferrari 308 GTB/GTS, from which it derives its bodywork designed by Leonardo Fioravanti for Pininfarina. The V8 engine is mounted in a transverse mid-engine configuration, a technical layout that charac-terizes some of the most iconic Ferrari berlinettas of the era. Production of the 208 Turbo ended in 1985 with the introduction of the improved Turbo Intercooler version. The GTB Turbo variant was produced in just 437 examples, making it today one of the rarest configurations within the 208/308 family. The example offered here is in excellent cosmetic condition, finished in classic Rosso Corsa with beige leather interior, a rather common but particularly elegant colour combination. The odometer shows approximately 35,000 km from new, and the car retains its original set of books, including the service book, as well as the Ferrari tool kit. Having been off the road for approximately ten years, the car will require a comprehensive service before returning to regular use. Notably, it has had just one owner throughout its 44-year life. A highly correct and well-preserved example from a limited production model that is becoming in-creasingly appreciated among Ferrari enthusiasts.
