The first-generation Ford Escort is widely considered one of the ultimate icons of historic touring car and rally racing. Lightweight, compact, and blessed with exceptional handling characteristics, the Escort emerged in the late 1960s and early 1970s as one of the most successful competition cars in its class. The vehicle offered here, built in 1971, has been uncompromisingly prepared for historic rally and circuit racing. The build was carried out by the renowned specialists Britec-Motorsport (restoration) and Rüddel-Motorsport (engine, race preparation, etc.). Visually, the car is presented in the iconic livery style of Alan Mann Racing. The car is in turn-key, race-ready condition, featuring a freshly rebuilt, FIA-compliant 1.8-liter competition engine delivering approximately 240 hp. Benefit from both a valid German road registration and a current FIA HTP, this Escort is equally suited for public roads as it is for historic rallies and top-tier motorsport events.
