1963 was een mijlpaal in de autogeschiedenis, met de introductie van onder meer de iconische Mercedes-Benz SL W113, beter bekend als de “Pagode”. Deze sportieve tweezitter combineert het schitterende design van Paul Bracq met uitstekende prestaties en comfort. Dit bijzondere exemplaar uit 1967, uitgevoerd in donkergroen met een “Antiek lichtgeel” interieur, is met grote zorg onderhouden en volledig gedocumenteerd. Oorspronkelijk geleverd in Parijs, verhuisde de auto later naar de Verenigde Staten en keerde in 2016 terug naar Europa, waar hij een uitgebreide restauratie onderging. De 250 SL is uitgerust met de zeldzame ZF-vijfversnellingsbak, stuurbekrachtiging, een power hardtop en Phoenix-banden. Slechts 820 Pagodes kregen deze handgeschakelde transmissie mee, waarvan slechts 112 exemplaren de 250 SL betrof — wat dit exemplaar bijzonder exclusief maakt. Hij wordt geleverd met de originele handleidingen, het serviceboek en een volledige reeks onderhoudsfacturen vanaf 1978. Dit is een unieke kans voor de serieuze liefhebber of verzamelaar die een klassieker zoekt met geschiedenis, karakter en absolute uitstraling.
