The Car Barn are very pleased to offer for sale this beautiful RHD Jaguar D-Type re-creation by Simon Dunford of Classic Jaguar racing. It was produced in 1990 and has the rare full aluminium body. Black leather seats complement the French Blue exterior, a colour which has been used for contemporary Talbot Lago race cars and same colour as the original D-type XKD513. A car which had been driven by Jean-Marie Brussin. Engine wise, the car is equipped with a powerful and slightly tuned E-Type 3.8 Litre straight six which delivers about 300 hp, breathing through 3 Weber carburettors and a Lynx inlet manifold. A correct dashboard, instruments and a magnificent sound through the stainless steel sports exhaust give a very authentic driving experience. It was sold to a Belgian classic car collector in 1999, when it was bought then by a Belgian classic car collector in 2005. The car is in excellent condition and you can tell it has been very well looked after over the years. We bought the car from a collector in German where it has previously been TUV approved. Jonathon's comments: 'Wow what a car! It's in excellent condition, makes a great noise and looks the part. This car came from the same collector who also sold us the Proteus XJ13 we sold previously and a few other nice Jaguars. Now it is in the Car Barn awaiting its latest custodian to look after her!'
