The Jaguar XK series is, in its own right, an icon among performance cars. This English sports car was so well received upon its launch at the 1948 British International Motor Show that the Coventry brand was overwhelmed by the flood of orders, with more than 300 on the first day of the show, almost leading to bankruptcy due to its inability to meet such demand. Its success is not surprising, as its lines are so beautiful and timeless that they captivated enthusiasts around the world, becoming a favorite of Hollywood stars, who fell in love with its charms. The model we present today corresponds to a first-generation Coupe (FHC), the XK120, as evidenced by its double bumpers and two-piece windshield. It was delivered to its first owner in April 1952 in New Jersey, USA. In addition to its original pastel blue color, a layer of dark blue was applied to the lower waistline, along with the white-walled wheels, highlighting the exotic lines of this hardtop version. A very romantic aesthetic, enhanced by a dark blue and wood-finished interior, which is in perfect condition. Its mechanics work as if in perfect condition, and, thanks to a thorough overhaul, it offers the same performance as when it left Coventry, more than 70 years ago. One of the most exclusive options for enjoying the unparalleled journey back in time that comes with getting behind the wheel of a Jaguar XK120.
