  • 1974 Fiat 124 Abarth Gr.4

The Fiat 124 Abarth Rally was one of the first fruits of Fiat’s 1971 purchase of the legendary firm Abarth, a partnership which would serve the Fiat Group in the World Rally Championship to tremendous effect for many years. Almost as soon as the 124 Spider appeared in 1966, privateers began rallying it in mid-level national events. The acquisition of Abarth gave Fiat the resources to field their own factory team. As part of the deal, Carlo Abarth insisted that the engineering team remain unchanged, which proved to be a critical ingredient to the 124 Abarth Rally’s success. Experienced and talented engineers Ivo Colucci and Stefano Jacoponi collaborated to create the 124 Abarth Rally, which employed the typical go-fast methods to turn the pleasant and enjoyable 124 Spider into something rather spicier. The most significant change was the replacement of the live rear axle with independent rear suspension. The body was also meaningfully lightened with the removal of the bumpers and the fitment of aluminum doors and fiberglass deck lids and hard top. A roll bar was added, as were flared wheel arches to accommodate wider alloy wheels. The engine received twin 44mm Weber carburetors and an Abarth exhaust, while the 5-speed synchronized gearbox and all round disc brakes were retained. Inside the car, the rear seat, center console, and glovebox lid were deleted, a 3-spoke leather rimmed Abarth steering wheel added, and aluminum dash trim replaced the faux wood. The first official outing of the Works Team was on 15th October 1972 at the Rally Portugal with Alcide Paganelli and Ninni Russo, who drove their car to an impressive 5th overall. The initial performance encouraged Fiat to continue its Factory effort and on February 12th, 1973 another Works 124 obtained second place in the Costa Brava Rally with Pinto and Bernacchini. Subsequently, an encouraging 4th place followed in the San Marino Rally with Babasio and Macaluso. The first, important international win arrived on April 14th, 1973 in the Yugoslavia Rally thanks to the all-female team of Tominz and Mamolo. 1974 marked the debut of the iconic "lobster orange" and light green livery and additional integrated headlamps. The season started with a victory of Bisulli-Zanuccoli at the San Marino Rally. In addition to running the European Rally Championship, the 124 Abarth Rally also ran in the big times, the World Rally Championship. It placed second in the final standings every year that it ran (1973-1975), initially behind the Alpine A110 and then of course behind the legendary Lancia Stratos. Even in that exalted company, the 124 managed some impressive wins, including a 1-2-3 finish at the Monte Carlo Rally in 1974! Seeking to polish the image of another of their road-going cars, Fiat replaced the 124 with the 131 for the 1976 WRC season, creating another icon in the process. Chassis 0062626 began its life in 1973 as an Abarth Stradale finished in white (one of just 3 colors offered) and was then later converted to Gr.3 specification, participating in minor competitions. More recently, the car underwent a full Gr.4 preparation with the much desired Colotti gearbox, racing in the 2000 class in few historic rallies including “La Grande Corsa” and “Rally Costa Smeralda” in 2018 conducted by Rocchetto-Paganoni, wearing white paint with GULF light-blue/orange accents. The car is ready to race with FIA historic technical passport and has been exercised regularly. 1974 Fiat 124 Abarth Gr.4 ISSIMI, Inc If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1983 BMW 635 CSi Group A

Please note that this lot is sold on a Bill of Sale. The 1970s witnessed all-out domination by BMW in the all-important European Touring Car Championship (ETCC); its 3.0 CSL “Batmobile” secured six Drivers’ and six Manufacturers’ titles in just seven years. However, the transition to Group A regulations in 1982 prompted a switch to the company’s new 3.5-litre 635 CSi model, the homologation of which led tuning specialists Alpina and Schnitzer Motorsport to jointly produce approximately 50 competition chassis between 1983 and 1985. Constructed across two distinct series, chassis E24-RA1-30 was a “late” first-series car initially delivered to Austrian gentleman driver, Karl Oppitzhauser, ahead of the 1984 ETCC season. Having previously raced and hill climbed such unlikely cars as a Lamborghini Miura and a Ferrari Dino 246 GTS—and attempted to qualify a privately-entered March 761 for the 1976 Austrian Grand Prix—Oppitzhauser’s motor racing resumé was certainly nothing if not varied. However, by the late 1970s, he had gained a reputation as a capable Touring Car driver, most notably in the potent Group 5 BMW 320 Turbo with which he competed between 1979 and 1983. Duly prepared by its owner’s eponymous team—and carrying sponsorship from German DIY store chain Bauhaus—E24-RA1-30 made its race debut in the 1984 500 km Monza, in which Oppitzhauser and co-driver Mario Zanuso finished 22nd overall. The car contested a further 10 ETCC rounds over the next three seasons, with Oppitzhauser principally sharing driving duties with fellow Austrian amateur, Georg Pacher. Pitted against works opposition from the likes of the TWR-Jaguar, TWR-Rover, and Eggenberger Volvo teams, their efforts were laudable; 8th place overall in the 1985 500 km Monza and 11th in the same year’s 500 km Salzburgring proving particular highlights. Significantly, former Hesketh Formula 1 driver Divina Galica shared E24-RA1-30 in the 1985 500 km Österreichring—although her race ended in retirement—while in mid-1986 the car was leased or sold to the Bavaria Automobiles team, which duly entered it in that year’s Spa 24 Hours. Driven by former Ligier Formula 1 pilot Francois Hesnault among others, the car failed to qualify for the event, marking the conclusion of its contemporary racing career. Acquired by the respected German race preparation specialist Brunn Racing in 2014, the car subsequently underwent a complete rebuild—albeit with great attention being paid to retaining all major components and the car’s remarkable patina—prior to entering the current ownership in 2017. It later underwent a full engine rebuild at Provence-based race preparation specialist Zig-Zag Motorsport Services in 2019 and is not recorded to have been driven since, with accompanying invoices totalling more than €30,000. Accompanied by four sets of spare wheels and FIA papers issued to the consigning owner, this car could be a highly competitive proposition for the Peter Auto Heritage Touring Cup and Motor Racing Legends Historic Touring Car Challenge, for which it is eligible and ideally suited. 1983 BMW 635 CSi Group A RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1960 Mercedes 190 SL Roadster

The Mercedes 190 SL Mercedes-Benz unveiled the prototype of the 190 SL (W 121) at the International Motor Sports Show in New York in February 1954, alongside the production version of the 300 SL “Gullwing”. In March 1955, the production version went on display at the Geneva Motor Show. Like its elder brother, the spectacular 300 SL “Gullwing”, the 190 SL rapidly became one of the most coveted dream cars of its day. Although less powerful than the 300 SL, it opened up the SL legend to a wider circle of customers. By 1963 sales had totalled 25,881 units. This Mercedes 190 SL The car described herein originates from Denmark, with documentation dating back to the 1960s. The current owner acquired it some years ago and tasked us with a full nut and bolt restoration, including bodywork, mechanics, electrics and interior. Our aim has been to replicate the technologies used by the Sindelfingen factory back in 1960. We restored all original parts that could be reclaimed, or reproduced them to original specification. Parts sourced were either new old stock, from Mercedes Classic or leading specialists. More than 2500h was spent on a comprehensive restoration, bringing this European car back to its former glory. We returned it to its stunning and rare original exterior colour, DB 380 Dolphin blue. Inside it’s finished in 979 dark blue leather and a black soft top rounds off the picture. After completion of the restoration, we conducted a 1000km test drive with full service at its end. The attached YouTube video gives you a summary of the restoration process and the great lenghts we went to, to assure that the car is as close to factory original specification as possible. In addition, the car will be supplied with a 56-page restoration handbook, detailing the rebuild (view the electronic bersion below). During restoration, we consulted the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center in Fellbach, where factory restorations of rare and important cars for the Mercedes Museum and private customers are performed, for information about originality and a special thanks go to Thomas Lämmle and his colleagues for their expertise. Also, we are grateful to Wilfried Steer and Frank Erbeck from the 'Mercedes-Benz 190 SL-Club Deutschland e.V.' for their support. Get ready for summer with this gorgeous classic car! There is nothing like feeling the wind in your hair on a warm evening, while doing a trip along a scenic country road in this legendary Mercedes. • 1963 Shelby 289 Cobra

A wholesome and strong performing example of the legendary Shelby 289 Cobra. Converted to rack & pinion steering. Since its 1963 release into the world of performance racing, the mystique around the Cobra has grown among collectors and enthusiasts, spawning modern iterations, tributes, and replicas. And while many of those cars have earned an enjoyable place in many a garage, the original 289 Cobra is and will always be the one that started it all. In 1961 Carroll Shelby assembled an AC Ace powered with a Ford 260 V8 engine. American power had been transplanted in European cars, but Shelby found the sweet spot. The new offering became both an immediate success and a media darling, featured in songs, movies, and races all over the world. Car magazines loved the combined performance of the Cobra and the Southern charm of Carroll Shelby. The unapologetic, brash, American performance, in both the Cobra and its founder delivered 0-60 times in an astonishing 4.9 seconds, well ahead of contemporary Jaguars and Aston Martins. Even production Corvettes were a full 3 seconds slower. Following its first competition outings, the Cobra proved to be a durable, quick, and extremely capable car evolving from the 260 cu. in V8 to the 289 V8 and eventually 427 variants, all of which went on to achieve significant track victories both with campaigned cars and in the hands of privateer racers. This Shelby, CSX2105, has been documented in Shelby Registries and reviewed by numerous authoritative Shelby experts reporting on the early history. According to the World Registry of Cobras and GT40s, this car is the 105th of 126 Mark 1 Cobras built. One of just 51 in this series fitted with the later desirable 289 cu. in. engine, it was finished in blue with a black interior, billed to Shelby American April 1,1963, and dispatched from AC Motors on January April 4, 1963. After delivery to New York port, CSX2105 was invoiced June 5, 1963 by Shelby American headquarters, Venice, CA to Coventry Motors, Walnut Creek, CA. The earliest documented owner, William Nicholas, Mill Valley, CA is believed to have purchased the car in the late 1960s or early 70s, described by Nicholas as blue with black interior, side exhaust, and a modified 289 engine. By 1976 CSX2105 appears in SAAC-1 Oakland, CA 8/76 in similarly described condition with added notation including a black rollbar and a black/gold CA license plate CCZ 897. Ownership history continued to be documented into the 1980s when it was revealed, at some point in the history of the car, that it had been converted to the later, more desirable rack and pinion steering arrangement adopted in later series production. To accomplish this, a small support section, formerly used to anchor a segment of the worm and gear steering, was removed and the new steering installed. Favorably, as this box segment retains the CSX2105 stamping. This removed portion remains with the car today. Additional research indicates that the rear fenders of this car were altered to accept wider tires. While previous registry information has mistakenly identified history for this car, possibly confusing it with CSX2016, CSX2105 has been carefully reviewed by expert Shelby SAAC Regional Director, Jim Wicks and Ned Scudder, and further by Lynn Park, as documented in letters identifying the addition of rack and pinion steering, an acceptable and often performed period upgrade. In addition to the many original features visible on CSX2105, Cobra experts will appreciate that both left and right door hinge plates bear the matching number 105, the left side hood latch bears the number 105, and the boot latch also bears the number 105. These numbers are consistent with factory stampings applied in AC body panel production to all opening features, an important fabrication feature for aluminum panel makers to match the handmade nature of these cars, which is now a critical element in establishing the originality of these rare cars. Under current ownership since 2010, CSX2105 spent almost 50 years in California before being imported by a collector in Australia in 2002 who later sold it to the current owner. Over the years, recent owners have preserved the many finishes believed to be original with sensitive restoration of original components to preserve as much of the integrity of this early 289 powered Cobra. Today CSX2105 remains as a fine example combining restored exterior features and original components. The metallic blue paint is accented by dual white stripes covering the entire centered length of the body. The paint finish is glossy and smooth with appropriate attention to fit and finish of the factory aluminum opening features and 289 Mark 1 aluminum body. The exterior trim, while limited, is in excellent condition overall including the windscreen trim and glass, lights, lenses, and emblems. The grille is correctly finished, and the underside valance continues the dual stripe theme flanked by chrome bumper uprights. The chrome wire wheels are beautifully finished with dual ear, and center hub knockoffs. A set of Michelin 205/70 R15 radial XWX tires give the car a hunkered down wide stance, filling the flared wheel arches with ample rubber. The interior is finished with black leather seats and surrounding black materials consistent with factory application and materials when new. The seats have a wonderfully settled patina, slightly weathered but retaining a snug and supple feel when one is nestled in the driver’s seat. The dashboard and instruments are properly arrayed with correct dial faces and nicely preserved indication, though some instruments have been noted as later series replacements likely sourced over the years and replaced as needed. The steering wheel has been preserved over the years and maintains a remarkable warm wood tone with just the right amount of wear, befitting the general character of the interior. While many cars can feature a full restoration, this Cobra offers a more engaging experience in keeping with the history of these cars. CSX2105 reveals both the lineage and performance connection infused by one of the most heralded individuals in sports car history, Carroll Shelby. Releasing the matching VIN stamped hood lock and raising the original aluminum hood, the 289 V8 engine has been treated to a welcome addition to Shelby’s motorsport legacy, four dual-throat down-draft Weber carburetors. Brilliantly trumpeting the added horsepower from the already potent engine, these Weber carburetors are a feast for both the eyes and accelerator pedal. Correct Cobra engine components such as Cobra valve covers, AC Cars chassis tag, correct hoses, and linkages are in place, reflecting proper care and attention to originality in keeping with the interior finishes. The welcoming combination of originality and performance delivers handily both on the display field and when driving. The trunk compartment is easily opened by twisting the original factory latch also revealing the correct matching number stamping, further indicative of the correct and original factory aluminum deck lid. The trunk is clean and tidy, once again representative of the original finishes housing a full-sized white wall spare wheel. The underside of the car presents largely original components, finishes, and details. The clean and well-maintained underside is again reflective of the preservation and use dedicated to this car over the documented years of enthusiast ownership. CSX2105 fires up instantly with a booming growl indicative of Cobra heritage. The side exit exhaust offers a bellowing performance note, reflecting the power of these impressive cars. Once nestled into the driver’s seat, the view over the twin-striped hood not only looks great, but the lines also historically aid in centering the car for precise competition cornering. Once the engine is warm and the competition seat belts are latched, a quick flick into first gear sets you off on the drive of a lifetime. Cobras are eager to open up even on soft throttle, but the Webers add a joyful punch to the already impressive acceleration delivering smooth and sonorous revs through every gear change. Freeway speeds are quickly achieved, and braking is still very impressive despite the years of advances achieved since these cars were new. Handling and ride are notably better than early worm and gear cars, a polite nod to the improvement selected years ago for this car. This 289 Shelby Cobra comes with copies of letters identifying the key elements of the history of this car with expert statements on the ownership and originality of CSX2105. Also included with the car is the original CSX2105 stamped box section, a car cover, black center-zip tonneau cover, side curtains, an unassembled convertible top with top bows, a spare radiator hose, and spare ignition wires. An unrepeatable opportunity, CSX2105 is ready for enjoyable showing, driving, events, tours, or the sheer joyful engagement of anyone who has ever desired to own and drive one of the most important sports cars of the modern era, the 289 Shelby Cobra. 1963 Shelby 289 Cobra Fantasy Junction If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1997 Ferrari F50

Following in the footsteps of the fabled F40, Ferrari’s F50 was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 1995. Hugely influenced by Formula 1 design and technology at the time, at the F50 heart was a naturally aspirated V-12 engine derived from Ferrari’s 641 F1 car, campaigned during the 1991 Formula 1 World Championship. With 512 bhp on tap, its Formula 1 origins and 8,000 rpm redline made the engine truly sonorous when driven as its manufacturers intended. Top speed was claimed as being 202 mph and from a standstill, the F50 would sprint to 60 mph from a standstill in 3.8 seconds. As if its performance wasn’t enough, what truly set the F50 apart from its competitors at the time was its open-top body style, allowing buyers to choose from the closed comfort of a Berlinetta or the thrill of an open-top sports car, and no open-top sports car on sale at the time could match the sheer performance of the F50. Top-down, the driving experience that the F50 provided its lucky driver and passenger was a close as one could get to driving a road-legal Formula 1 car. Only 349 examples would be built, far fewer than the F40 that preceded it. This example was supplied new to Ferrari Deutschland in July 1997 and dispatched to the supplying dealership one month later. The car would be collected by the first owner Mr Manfred Schröer of the consultancy firm MSW Consulting by official Ferrari dealership Tamsen GmbH. Schröer used the car sparingly but was keen to enjoy the car, from a distance at least! He displayed the car on several occasions including the start of the 2001 Supercar Rally from Paris. In 2003, the F50 changed hands and was purchased by connoisseur racer and collector, Andreas Knapp-Voith. The F50 moved to Japan and entered into a prominent collection accompanied by several other notable examples of the marque. Seeing minimal use, the F50 was carefully stored to present exactly how it was when it launched. This included retaining the original and no longer available factory issue tyre, the Goodyear GS Fiorano, complete with the bespoke tread pattern found exclusively on the model. In 2024, this example was purchased by DK Engineering and flown to the UK. Upon arrival, this example was thorough photographed, highlighting the wealth of original features and extensive carbon fibre weave, weave that extends to the front bumper which is often lost to inevitable repaints. The example is accompanied by many of its supplied original accessories: Original Books including service book 2 original keys Ferrari build book 3 piece luggage set including outer bags Original torch Flight case including roof panel, roll hoops and fasteners in original Schedoni bag Fabric roof behind rear seats Battery tray Tools, bulbs, wheel socket and tyre inflator Car cover Original tyres will be replaced as part of the sale, but original GS Fioranos can be supplied for display purposes only Ahead of sale, this example will go through our workshops receiving an annual service as well as new fuel tanks. This fabulous example of Ferrari’s F1-derived supercar is available to view at our showrooms outside London immediately. 1997 Ferrari F50 D.K. • 1962 Chevrolet Corvette

The year 1962 was significant for the Corvette, as America’s Sports Car dominated Sports Car Club of America competition, as well as being the final year of the original C1 configuration with its straight-axle chassis. The most potent examples were fitted with the fuel-injected engine, producing 360 horsepower. According to the owner, a knowledgeable longtime collector of significant Corvettes, the example offered here was one of 246 1962 models built with competition-style brakes—the so-called “big brake” option, RPO 687—and is even rarer in being fitted with power windows and both hard and soft tops. Notably, the car retains its original fuel-injected engine—identified by the serial number suffix matching the chassis number, as well as the correct date-coded casting numbers—and its original transmission, as well as the correct “big brake” air scoops and block-off plates. The car was the final project of the late Dale Pearman, a noted National Corvette Restorers Society (NCRS) member and authority on the C1 Corvette. Dale had acquired a vast collection of new-old-stock C1 parts and used them in the restoration of this car which, following his passing, was completed by Ken Hansen. The Corvette received the Duntov Award no fewer than three times in NCRS judging, followed by Bloomington Gold Certification and, finally, Triple Diamond Certification at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals (MCACN). Following its show career, the owner recounts that only maintenance miles have been clocked, and accordingly the car still remains in pristine and show-worthy condition throughout. It is accompanied by a collection of its judging sheets from the present ownership, with the owner noting that most all demerits have since been corrected. Boasting superb provenance and excellent authenticity, as confirmed by its honors at the highest levels of Corvette competition, this example is offered from the collection of a longtime, devout enthusiast and student of the model. It is surely among the finest to be found, and awaits presentation by a new owner at any number of events in the show season to come. 1962 Chevrolet Corvette RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1977 Alfa Romeo Nuova Giulia Super 1300

Alfa Romeo was one of the first mainstream manufacturers to put a powerful engine in a light-weight 1 tonne four-door car for mass production. The Type 105 Giulia was equipped with a light alloy twin overhead camshaft four-cylinder engine similar to that of the earlier Giulietta range, available in 1.3-litre (1,290 cc) and 1.6-litre (1,570 cc) versions. Various configurations of carburetors and tuning produced power outputs from about 80 to about 110 bhp, coupled in most cases to 5-speed manual transmission. Giulia sedans were noted for lively handling and impressive acceleration among small European four-door sedans of their era, especially considering modest engine sizes offered. The popular Super version with the twin carburettor 1.6 liter engine had a top speed of 170 km/h (106 mph) and accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in about 12 seconds, better than many sports cars of the late 1960s and early 1970s. The styling of the boxy four-door notchback saloon was somewhat wanting. The engine bay, cabin and boot were all square shaped, buffered somewhat by details on the grill, roofline, bonnet and boot. Use of a wind tunnel during development led to a very aerodynamic shape that is particularly low for a saloon of the era. Our iconic Giuseppe Scarnati designed Giulia Nuova Super is one of the last of the line; easily noticeable from the black plastic front grill and flat boot lid without the earlier model center spine. This classic Alfa Romeo is finished in Azzurro Le Mans Blue (code AR-348). The exterior and interior are both in amazing condition with little to none blemishes. The light alloy four cylinder in-line unit in this 1300 Nuova Super model features two overhead camshafts and a vertical twin-choke carburetor. Displacing 1295cc, this engine fires promptly at the turn of the key and delivers quiet yet eager performance. Connected to this lovely engine you will find a five speed all-synchro gearbox, the only saloon car in its power bracket at the time to feature five forward speeds! Renowned performance for its era from such a modest engine size. Before our Giulia leaves to its new owner, it will receive a service and a full check to make sure that it is in great working order. This is the perfect classic Alfa for you to enjoy together with your family and friends as it has plenty of seats! • 1963 Ferrari 250 GT Lusso

History of the Ferrari 250 GT Lusso Ferrari has offered many exceptional road cars over the course of their celebrated years. The last and best of the Ferrari 250 series, the 250 GT Lusso, has become one of the most celebrated classic Ferraris from this iconic era. A daring and bold departure from the earlier 250 series examples, the sinewy, elegant Lusso was lower and wider than its predecessor and, with its Kamm tail treatment, the dynamic rear lines were fresh and compelling, particularly accented by the sweeping rear glass. Designed by Pininfarina and built by Scaglietti, the Lusso was priced at $13,000 when new – a considerable sum even for wealthy enthusiasts. Positioned between the luxury oriented 250 GTE 2+2 and the competition based SWB, the Lusso delivered the perfect synergy of GT performance, with comfortable amenities, offering everything one might expect from the Ferrari driving experience. Powering the Lusso, the 3.0 liter outside-plug Colombo V12 engine served the car well, though this engine would ultimately concede to the newer and more powerful 3.3-liter engine upon the debut of the 275 GTB. Constructed by hand using alloy deck lids and doors to reduce weight, disc brakes which vastly improved braking, and a shorter wheelbase, these features combined to create a very capable and nimble road car. Unique to the Lusso design, inside the car, both the tachometer and speedometer were positioned centrally on the dashboard, giving the interior a fresh, almost concept car appearance. Production spanned a mere eighteen months with just 351 examples assembled for world markets. Today the Lusso is considered a premium collector Ferrari occupying a vaulted place in the classic sportscar hierarchy. Firmly situated in exceptional company, Lussos are continually sought after for their unique confluence of sophistication, power, and beauty. History of Lusso #4421 According to factory build information supplied for this car, #4421 was the 32nd Lusso built. Completed May 24, 1963, it was finished in Blu 11488 with Russo VM 3171 interior. Originally built with engine number 4421 (internal number 1268/62E), and with the currently fitted gearbox internal number 33, and rear axle internal number 33, #4421 was delivered new to Milanese Ferrari dealer Cripaldi and sold to the first owner SIVAM S.p.A. Societa Italiana Veterinaria Agricola Milano S.p.A, Milan, Italy. By the early 1980s, the car was sold to a US buyer eventually finding ownership with Ferrari enthusiast Robert Long who, in the mid to late 1980s installed engine #06905 in this Lusso. Formerly in a 1965 triple-carb short nose Ferrari 275 GTB, the ill-fated 275 GTB burned in a late 1960s crash, but the engine thankfully survived the ordeal. Eventually the engine was stewarded to UK Ferrari enthusiast Jack Crowther, and later to the US. In 1984 the 275 engine was represented for sale by GT Car Parts, Phoenix, and subsequently installed in #4421 where it has remained for the past 30+ years. Importantly, the 275 GTB engine currently fitted is an original engine, not a Classiche 275 replacement casting. The engine #06905 is stamped with single strike numeric indication and the ill-fated 275 GTB from which it emerged was eventually restored, where it is known to be on the road in Europe though currently powered by a replacement engine. Offering an attractive 50 additional horsepower than the stock 250 GT/L V-12, it is a formidable attraction to an already stunning car. It is reported that at least two other Lussos were refitted with 275 GTB engines in period due to the desirable increase in performance. In 1991 #4421 was offered for sale in the Ferrari Market Letter. At that time, it was reported to have been painted Garnet and trimmed with tan leather interior. After a few owners and significant restoration expense including a repaint in black, the car was offered for sale in 2000 by Fantasy Junction and sold to the current consigning owner, a Northern California Ferrari enthusiast. Finished in black with tan leather interior, the car was in excellent condition supported by restoration receipts totaling $74,000 from Berlinetta Motorcars. After the current owner’s purchase, the car was used for various events. The current owner drove it for approximately six years, showing it at Concorso, The Quail, Friday afternoon runs to the Sonoma coast and occasionally participating in familiar Northern California vintage road events. On one occasion, the owner shipped the car to Boston and drove it to Camden, Maine creating a memorable family event. During this period, the current owner accumulated most of the 8-10k kilometers amassed while under his ownership. In 2007 the engine developed an oil leak in the front cover. The owner selected Northern California Ferrari expert Patrick Ottis for services. After review and conversations with the owner, the owner decided to embark on what would become a six-year nut and bolt restoration addressing every aspect of the car using NOS parts, rebuilding original components, and detailing the car to a very high standard. Restoration efforts concluded in 2013. While at Ottis, the engine was rebuilt with new pistons and all internal rotating components balanced and dyno tested by Hasselgren. Work included a new water pump, generator, starter, and regulator, with radiator repairs performed at Berkeley radiator including a new core and bottom cap. The front disc brakes were zinc phosphate plated and surfaced, a new clutch, clutch plate and bearing installed, and the flywheel resurfaced. The transmission was comprehensively rebuilt with new synchros and gear sets, and the differential was cosmetically addressed having been previously rebuilt with a new pinion and properly set up by Berlinetta Motors, NY. All electrical was addressed as needed including new fuel pumps. The fuel tank was removed and repaired with painting provided by perfect reflections. As the car had only covered 60,000 kms by the 1990s, it was revealed during the restoration process to be very much original, retaining all its original body panels, trim, correct wire wheels, and undamaged original chassis components. Even the fuel filter retained the preserved original stenciled paint graphic and the floor pans, underbody and belly pans remained original, undamaged, and unmodified. Restoration work included items contracted out to specialists familiar with each of these unique areas. New correct copper plated steel brake lines were installed matching exactly to the original type, all four brake calipers and brake booster were rebuilt using Apple Hydraulics, the steering box rebuilt with new seals, NOS Koni shock absorbers installed front and rear, and the front suspension comprehensively rebuilt including correct nickel plating and replacing all bushings and hardware as needed. The A arms, tie rods, control rods, and sway bars were powder coated for durability, and the rear leaf suspension was fully rebuilt including shackle hardware. Pierce Manifold restored all three correct Weber dual-throat downdraft carburetors including comprehensive mechanical and cosmetic restoration with accurate finishes including new jets, new shafts, and butterflies. New correct yellow and brown spiral fuel hoses were installed from the tank to the carburetors. The FIAM horns and compressor were restored along with new ignition coils, plug wires and caps, and all hose clamps, water hoses, fuel hoses, and vent hoses were replaced using correct parts reflective of factory specifications. The steering box and idler arm were rebuilt and refinished with new correct seals, plating, and adjustments. The exterior finish remained impressively nice and was addressed with professional paint correction performed by Perfect Reflections. Additional refinishing and detailing performed on the chassis including paint for the underbody to correct specifications and powder coating for the suspension parts. The exterior chrome was removed and sent out to Christensen's Plating. The Borrani wire wheels were restored by Cork Adams with new three-ear knock offs supplied by Borrani and a new set of Pirelli CA-67 tires with tubes were mounted. The interior was reupholstered by Bob Smith using correct jute padding under the proper low pile carpet. All instruments were removed and rebuilt at Palo Alto Speedometer with NOS clear bezel parts sourced from Margaret in AZ. The Nardi steering wheel was restored by expert David Chamberlain. Further details were painstakingly addressed including correct engine labels and stickers with guidance from Parker Hall and Kilimanjaro Products. The current owner was careful to follow expert guidelines for accurate replating of all hardware using correct black oxide, zinc phosphate, clear cadmium, and dull electroless nickel plating per original specifications. The completed car has since enjoyed consummate care and regular service as needed including cleaning and adjusting for all three carburetors, new floor mats, a rebuilt fuel tank sender unit, and tightening of the oil pressure line at the gauge. Over the past ten years since the restoration was completed the owner has greatly enjoyed this car including its featured selection in the elegant coffee table book “Ferrari – Passion for Design” professionally photographed by renowned automotive photographer Phil Toy. Current Condition and Presentation Today this beautifully restored Ferrari presents as a wonderful example of a properly restored Lusso now gently maturing since the restoration was completed. Though the black paint has mellowed since being applied some years ago, paint correction has yielded excellent results, displaying beautiful deep luster and excellent gloss throughout the exterior finish. Panel fit is excellent with the doors, hood, and trunk exhibiting crisp closure and latching. Minor surface bubbles are evident at the lowest forward corner of the passenger side door and minor blistering on the lower rear fender corner under the rear bumper, neither of which take away from the mirror-like finish that is quite spectacular particularly in highly reflective black. The exterior chrome is excellent throughout with finishes that were performed to a high standard when restored and remain so today. The Borrani wheels are beautifully finished with excellent detail including the polished aluminum rims, bright spokes, and chrome plated knock offs. A matching set of period correct Pirelli CA-67 tires are mounted. The trim, emblems, correct Marchal headlights, taillights, and lenses are all very nicely presented. Glass and surrounding trim are also in excellent condition, consistent with the overall beauty of the exterior presentation. The impressive tan interior presents in excellent condition. The elegant, curved bucket seats are correctly pleated in supple leather showing only mild stretching as typically found on the inside seat bolster corners. The surrounding materials are correct and in excellent condition accented by beautifully finished chrome details. The carpet is correctly trimmed, and edge bound, showing typical shoe wear around the footbox. The dashboard and instruments are beautifully maintained exhibiting excellent color, clarity, clear numeric indication, and fine detailing attributed to the exceptional restoration work performed by Palo Alto Speedometer. The wood rimmed Nardi steering wheel is a fantastic touch adding to the sporting nature of this handsome Lusso, also restored by expert hands. Finishing off the interior, the various details, switches, and inner door jambs are all properly presented. Overall, the interior components have been addressed with care and integrity matching very well with the exterior finish. The trunk compartment is finished with charcoal grey carpet and retains a Borrani spare wire wheel shod with a matching Pirelli tire. Under the hood, the correct 275 GTB engine bears the single strike number 06905 attributed to the original car that surrendered the engine in the 1960s. The engine confidently remains in place as it has for more than 30 years. The engine delivers a nice, gently settled cosmetic impression, prepared with correct finishes, proper hoses, lines, and correct fasteners, all of which were part of the professional restoration carried out by Patrick Ottis and other specialists. Despite the passage of time, the engine exhibits a handsome, high-quality, accurate presentation of the more powerful 3.3 liter 275 engine. Details include Weber carburetors, beautifully finished textured black cam covers, correct oil filters, yellow spiral fuel lines, and correctly traced wiring and lines. As a sporting detail, each of the three Weber carburetors are trumpeted and screened, allowing visual access to the mechanism normally obscured by a large air filter element, here revealing the beautiful Italian mechanical artistry evoked in these incredible machines. The underside of the car is exceptionally well restored and worthy of show field presentation. Finishes are correct and authentic including correct exhaust and mufflers, beautifully finished suspension components, and excellent engine and gearbox castings. Of particular note, the floor pans, underbody and belly pans remain original to the car. The resultant underside is correct and consistent with the cohesive visual and mechanical integrity and exceptional restoration. The car starts easily and warms to idle smoothly on choke, delivering a sweet and tight V12 sound with just the right amount of exhaust burble. The original numbers-matching gearbox engages easily while the clutch takes up smoothly as the revs increase, revealing the historic and unforgettable V12 sound. Acceleration is brisk as power comes on with each gear change. On the highway, the Lusso reveals the GT heritage with excellent cruising comfort and substantially more power on tap due to the higher horsepower 275 GTB engine. Braking is very good, coming down from highway speeds with excellent pedal pressure, even tracking, and responsive suspension. The driving manners of this Lusso will confirm to anyone behind the wheel that this final iteration of the venerable 250 GT is even more exhilarating given the added power of the 275 GTB engine. This Lusso is accompanied by restoration records and service invoices covering current ownership, photographs of the restoration process, correspondence with the agent of the current owner of 275 GTB s/n 6905 discussing the possible purchase of engine 6905, its original belly pan and air cleaner housing with correct three-ear wing nuts, and a set of floor mats. Supported by a superb restoration performed by a cadre of Ferrari experts and enhanced with a correct and original 275 GTB engine, this wonderfully presented Lusso is a fantastic capture of the 250 GT series combining the best of Ferrari history and performance. One of only 351 examples built, this elegant Pininfarina bodied Lusso is ready to deliver superlative performance, elegant touring pleasure, and the delight of owning one of the most beautifully crafted sportscars – one that epitomizes the excellence and excitement of the vintage Grand Touring experience. 1963 Ferrari 250 GT Lusso Fantasy Junction If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The notice and take down procedure is described here: https://www.speedholics.com/copyright History of the Ferrari 250 GT Lusso Ferrari has offered many exceptional road cars over the course of their celebrated years. • 1961 Lancia Flaminia GT 2.5 Convertible

Previously prepared by Lancia experts A rare and beautiful Italian sports car Restored in Italy in the late 1990's Original colour combination A charming example benefiting from a comprehensive restoration Supplied new to the USA in 1961, finished in Newmarket Grey with a red sky leather interior. Little is known of the cars early history, but in 1989 it was acquired by Mr R D Pardilla of San Francisco who purchased the car when it was painted in a bright red. The previous owner had replaced the original engine with the correct type of engine which the car is fitted with today. After 10 years of ownership Mr R D Pardilla sold the car to Mr Burbani Senior, who later in 1999 sold the car to his son R Burbani Junior who imported the car to Italy where a nut and bolt restoration commenced. It was clear the car was destined to be restored into a perfect example, the car was returned to its original colour of New Market Grey, 3 years into the restoration the car was sold to noted British collector Mr Harmond who finished the restoration in Italy. Chassis 824041328 was acquired by our client in 2019 from Lancia experts Thornley Kelham of Cirencester who prepared the car in the condition it shows now and completed a full service prior to hand-over. The car is presented in good condition throughout. There are, however, various marks and blemishes around the car, including cracking in the lacquer along the tops of the front and rear passenger side wings, and some light bubbling in the lacquer on the sill just below the front corner of the driver’s door. The car is complete with a detailed history file and restoration file which shows the labour of love which went into restoring the car and maintaining it since. 1961 Lancia Flaminia GT 2.5 Convertible O'KANE LAVERS Ltd If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The notice and take down procedure is described here: https://www.speedholics.com/copyright Previously prepared by Lancia experts A rare and beautiful Italian sports car Restored in Italy in the late 1990's Original colour combination A charming example benefiting from a comprehensive restoration Supplied new to the USA in 1961, finished in Newmarket Grey with a red sky leather interior.
