  • 1942-alfa-romeo-6c-2500-sport-1

How often do you come across an Alfa Romeo that isn’t just rare, but likely one of a kind? This 6C 2500 Sport Cabriolet by Carrozzeria Touring is one of just five known to have been built with this particular open body style, inspired by the Torpedino Brescia line. And among them, this example is particular not just for its rarity, but for its intact matching-numbers drivetrain, rich documentation, and high-quality restoration carried out with restraint and care. This chassis 915128 was build on June 16th, 1942 and delivered on April 15th, 1943, reportedly to General Von Carnap, a Wehrmacht officer who acquired several 6C chassis during the war. It seems the car was used by senior German military officials before being left behind at the end of the conflict. By the 1960s, it had resurfaced in Texas, and by 1989, it was acquired by California collector Paul Myers, who commissioned a full restoration from Phil Reilly & Co., with bodywork carried out by Moal Coachworks: both renowned for top-level concours preparation. The car earned multiple concours awards, including Best in Class at the Greenwich Concours, Most Elegant Sports Car at Amelia Island, and a CCCA National First Prize. It was also displayed at “The Candy Store,” a private collector’s clubhouse in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 2013, the car returned to Europe, where the new owner brought it back closer to factory specification. It was repainted in its correct dark blue, retrimmed in beige leather, with matching carpets and headliner, and fitted with a new green-grey mohair soft top. The dashboard was repainted in body color, just as it would have left the factory, and the chrome and aluminum trim was refurbished. All glass and seals were replaced, and a discreet battery cut-off switch is the only non-original visible element. Mechanically, the car runs its matching-numbers 2.5L inline-six (engine no. S923928), mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox. The correct Weber 36 DCR carburetor is present. The suspension and braking systems were overhauled, the exhaust replaced, and the engine bay presents cleanly, consistent with a well-documented restoration. The electrics were fully rewired to period-correct spec, and all original instruments and switches are present and working. No modern seatbelts have been added, staying true to the original delivery spec. The car rides on silver-painted wire wheels fitted with Michelin 6.00/6.50 x 18 tyres, all in excellent condition. Panel fit is tidy, the paint shows depth and quality, and the overall presentation is elegant and unforced. The car has now 1345 km on the clock, after its restauration. The car now resides in the Netherlands, having been recently imported, and is ready for road registration. It comes with a U.S. title, a partial international history file, and remains fully matching numbers. 1942 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Sport AD Sportscars If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1960-ferrari-250-gt-berlinetta-swb

Chassis #1995 GT was the second of only nine right hand drive versions of the 250 GT SWB Berlinetta imported into the UK by Col. Ronnie Hoare of Maranello Concessionaires Ltd. As one of the first examples, it was equipped with a host of competition options on a the more durable steel body, aimed at demonstrating the prowess of the car. Delivered new in 1960, #1995GT was supplied in Rosso, over a dark red leather interior, red carpets, a steel body, 3.77 rear axle ratio, Dunlop RS4 tyres and a limited slip differential. Just a handful of the RHD example received competition upgrades. The factory build sheets detail the engine was to delivered in semi-competition specification with a 9.5:1 compression ratio, 10mm lift camshafts, triple Weber 40 DCL6 carburettors with intake trumpets and cold air box, rather than an air filter box, and an Abarth competition exhaust system. The factory engine test sheet shows that it produced 252bhp when new on their dynamometer, verifying competition components in the engine. It was collected from the factory by a Mr Horning of Hampshire on behalf of its first owner, the proprietor of Sea Corner Garage, a Mr E. ’Rufus’ W. Eyre. Upon its arrival in the UK, Mr Eyre registered his first Ferrari, the short-wheelbase on the registration mark ‘RU 20’; a registration he would retain and place on each succeeding Ferrari he would own. Fascinatingly this car is the very first customer car supplied by the newly formed ‘Maranello Concessionaires’, formerly Col. Ronnie Hoare had been operating from the F. English Ford dealership in Bournemouth. Keen to impress and demonstrate their competition prowess at the time, early cars had specified luxury options ignored at build by the factory! It is understood that all preceding and subsequent SWBs were alloy bodied cars built to full 'Competizione' specification. - Early-specification lightweight chassis frame (as per all competition cars including "SEFAC Hotrod") - Early "low roof & screen" specification body with one-piece windows and curved door window frames - Comp-spec high lift cams - Comp-spec open air tray with velocity stacks - Competition brakes (no servo) with ‘comp’ front cooling ducts - Comp-spec ribbed case magnesium-alloy competition gearbox (as per all competition cars) - Comp-spec bucket seats - Roof mounted interior extract vent (as opposed to in the rear screen) - Limited-slip differential - Comp-spec long range fuel tank & external "Monza" fuel filler - Competition jacking points and “quick-lift” jack (stored in boot) - Lightweight aluminium floors & closing panels (bonnet, boot lid and doors) Scaglietti granted Ronnie Hoare’s wish for steel bodies on #1993GT (his demonstrator) and #1995GT respectively, with the steel bodies more resilient than alloy – demand for alloy outside of racing at the time seen more as a negative as it was so easy to dent! The factory ignored the Colonel’s wishes for the cars to be fitted with road going 22-gallon fuel tanks, instead, receiving long range, racing specification tanks. Surviving Maranello Concessionaires paperwork highlights their contacting of Ferrari on 25th October 1960, seeking a 'windscreen washer pump assembly for 1995GT omitted in production'! Expecting great things from his brand-new Ferrari, the first owner Mr. Eyre, had several queries regarding the hand built nature of the car. Eyre went so far as to return the car to Ferrari with the expectation the factory would attend to several panel fitment issues! Despite his complaints, Mr. Eyre would to retain 1995GT until December 1965. Commuting between his home in the New Forest and his family office in north London the car would see regular use. Past the initial return to Ferrari, his business Sea Corner Garage would carry out maintenance on the car, with instructions from Ferrari penned in the front of the user manual. Speaking with Rufus in 2019, he recalled several stories of his time with the car. A timid man, he had instructed his workshop manager to collect the car from Italy on his behalf and drive it back. All was going smoothly until Horning was pulled over by the Polizia Stradale on the motorway in northern Italy. Fearful of repercussions as the car was neither his, nor did he speak any Italian, he was relieved to find the duo on motorcycles merely wanted to see a ‘right hand drive’ Ferrari in person, before gesturing that he perhaps continue his journey with a bit more enthusiasm! Mr Eyre further highlighted a visit to London in 1961. Having driven up from his home on the south coast for a shopping trip on Bond Street, he recalled his significant grievance with the car after a day of liberal spending, paired with the equipped long-range fuel tank saw a car crammed full of bags with no place in the boot. Returning home, he promptly ordered a 250 GT Pinin Farina in Bianco Polo Park to run along side the SWB as a shopping car! Eyre sold the short-wheelbase in 1965 having covered 19,500 miles. After his ownership, #1995GT would pass through a number of subsequent owners including; Mr K. Wilson, Mr G. Sinclair, Mr Brian Classic, Mr John Broad, Mr David Mulvaney and Mr David Brook, before being purchased by Richard Colton from Maranello Concessionaires Ltd in March 1976. At the time of its purchase, it was reported to have just received an engine rebuild by Graypaul Motors Ltd, with the mileage showing 49,000 miles on the odometer. The car would remain in Colton’s custody for nearly 40 years, more than doubling the mileage, up to the time of his passing in March 2015. A very close friend of DK co-founder David Cottingham, David and Richard first met in the late 1970s. A friendship forged, without doubt, from a shared passion of the greatest Italian marque. Richard thought nothing of driving his Ferraris on the road and owned all sorts; this 250 SWB, a 275 GTB/4 and a 250 LM to name but a few. Richard used the short-wheelbase extensively on the road, attending rallies as well as gatherings all over Europe. In 1999, he said ‘I have done over 50,000 road miles with the car as well as many sprints, hillclimbs, rallies, track days etc. Now going better then ever!’ Richard took part in Ferrari's 50th anniversary celebrations in Maranello in 1997, the Coys Historic Festival in 2001 and the FOC UK Concours in 2006. By 2008, the odometer was up to 99,999 miles, after which his use of the car would decline. Richard adored the short-wheelbase. Exploiting its semi-competition nature, he made adjustments throughout his ownership to improve driveability of the car. The bumpers were removed fore and aft, primarily to aide airflow via the sleeved brake cooling ducts in the front valence, larger four-piston brake calipers were fitted in lieu of the original Dunlop units, with braided steel hoses replacing the original copper tubes. Wholly reversible, this ensured the braking was much closer to modern day standards. In 1996, Richard had the original 10mm lift cams replaced with milder 9.5mm units, affording him more low-down torque and a smoother power delivery. Larger wheels and tyres were fitted and the arches flared to accommodate them. Much like the original owner Rufus Eyre, Richard Colton held a lifelong fear of the sea. In 2015, after Richard’s passing, #1995GT was sold by H & H auctions with the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) as the sole beneficiary of the sale. Having known and serviced the car for many years, DK Engineering acquired the car and soon after sold to a long-standing friend and client. Ahead of delivery DK carried out a comprehensive mechanical overhaul of the car including an engine rebuild with the new owner enviably continue to use the car as Richard had done for so many years. In 2019 a decision was made to restore the car to its original specification and we kindly obliged. In a comprehensively documented restoration, 1995GT was stripped back to bare metal by specialists Bodylines of Northampton. Similarly the paintwork was carried out by Spraytec, known for their exacting work. Mechanical reassembly commenced at DK with much of the work having been carried out just a couple of years earlier. The interior was retrimmed by O’Rourke Coachtrimmers of Guildford in the original Rosso. The restoration was carried out in consultation with Ferrari’s Classiche department and as such, post restoration in 2024, #1995GT has been awarded Ferrari’s red book Classiche certification confirming its matching engine, gearbox and rear axle. At the time of the restoration in 2019, DK located and contacted the original owner Mr Rufus Eyre of Poole, Dorset. We remain grateful for his correspondence and assistance in completing the early history of #1995GT. In addition to his anecdotes above, Rufus kindly offered the registration mark ‘RU 20’ be returned to #1995GT, that he had retained since 1965. After his passing in 2020, we were fortunate to welcome Mr Eyre’s righthand lady, to see the car after the restoration was completed and as it would have presented when new. She brought with her the original leather wallet and bookpack for the short-wheelbase that Mr Eyre had retained from his first Ferrari for 54 years! Thanks to the generosity of Richard Colton, the proceeds of the 2015 H&H auction saw £8.5m left to the RNLI. This phenomenal contribution has funded two new Shannon class lifeboats; the Richard and Caroline Colton & the Richard and Caroline Colton II. The former has been in service in Hastings since 2019 and the latter was delivered in March 2024 to his home in the Vale of Glamorgan. Today we are delighted to be able to offer #1995GT for sale. A short-wheelbase with incredible provenance, a bookend to Ferraris in the UK and one of just 11 RHD steel examples built and with rare competition features from new. DK are fortunate to have been involved with this example for over 35 years and are proud to be able to offer it today. 1960 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta SWB D.K. The notice and take down procedure is described here: https://www.speedholics.com/copyright Chassis #1995 GT was the second of only nine right hand drive versions of the 250 GT SWB Berlinetta imported into the UK by Col. • 1994 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Jubilee Edition

1993 marked the 30th anniversary of the 911 and to celebrate, Porsche developed a unique “Jubilee” edition of the 964. Based on the widebody Turbo, the Jubilee was the only 964 coupe to pair this bodywork with the standard Carrera’s naturally aspirated flat-6. The car also received the all-wheel-drive system from the Carrera 4 and in place of the typical Turbo rear wing, the electronically deployable wing found on the narrow-body cars was fitted. This unique combination of pieces resulted in a fantastic looking car that was also outstanding to drive and is considered to be the predecessor to the 993 and 996 Carrera 4S that followed in later generations, utilizing the same design principles. This 964 Jubilee is a late production example from the 1994 model year produced in November of 1993. Originally sold through Porsche Center Brescia, the first buyer traded the car in after just 4 months when it was purchased by the consignor who has owned the car ever since. The Jubilee was only offered in three colors from the factory and this example is finished in Polar Silver. Over the years, the car has received some paintwork but is a very honest, original car that shows just 75,421 km at the time of cataloging. In addition to the 911 Turbo flared fenders, the 964 Jubilee was also given the Turbo’s striking set of “Cup 1” wheels in a wider size to properly fill out the arches and give the car the desired, aggressive look. The interior is fitted with supple black leather throughout including on the dashboard, door cards, and center console, which all presents in very good condition. 8-way power-adjustable seats have been optioned in the front as have both air conditioning and a power sunroof. One of the things that makes the 964 such a desirable car is that it really represents the intersection between the classic 911s of the past 30 years, paired with much of the newer technology that was beginning to filter into high end cars by the 1990s. Sitting in the driver’s seat, you may mistake the view in front of you for a 1975 Carrera, but then in looking down at the center console, you are availed with knobs to raise the rear wing or lock the diffs on the all wheel drive system- features which prior to the 964 had never been seen in a 911. Sitting out behind the passengers is a 3.6 liter naturally aspirated flat 6, rated at 247 horsepower and 228 lb-ft of torque. Although in modern terms that doesn’t sound like much, it was enough to propel the 964 from 0-60 mph in 5.5 seconds and on to a top speed in excess of 160 mph. This is then run through a 5-speed manual transaxle with the power being sent to all four wheels. The all wheel drive system on this car was one of the most advanced systems of the era- utilizing 3 differentials, it was based on lessons learned from building the 959 supercar and is described as a simplified version of what was found in that car. Included with the car is the original books and service manual with stamps from a Porsche main dealer. During the one year of production for this special model, only 911 examples were produced and they have become particularly desirable in recent years. The combination of the stunning Turbo flares and wheels, without the wing, creates a stunning silhouette and the revvy, naturally aspirated Flat-6 offers a great soundtrack for your drive. If you are on the hunt for a vintage 911 but want something off the beaten path, this 1 of 911 964 Jubilee fits the bill perfectly. 1994 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Jubilee Edition ISSIMI, Inc If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1959-jaguar-xk-150-38-litre-se-fhc

The XK 150, offered between 1957 to 1961, was the last evolution of the XK series first introduced in 1948. Other than the XK 120 and the XK 140 series, the 150 had a more “ponton” shaped design without the pronounced kink in front of the rear mudguard. Also, it was one of the first automobiles equipped with fourwheel disc brakes and, from 1959, was also available with the inline 6 engine enlarged to 3.8 litres. Our example is equipped with this engine, a 4-speed gearbox with the optional overdrive and a twin SE exhaust system. The XK was assembled towards the end of 1959 and then shipped to the USA where it was first registered in 1960. While in the USA, the matching numbers engine received a new cylinder head from a Jaguar Mark VII and the coachwork was repainted many years ago together with the restoration of the interior. The Virginia title indicates that the elegant coupé was in the same ownership from November 1979 to May 2010, before, in September of the same year, it was taken over by a Swiss enthusiast. In November 2010 the Jaguar was imported into Switzerland and parked in the new owner’s collection. In October 2018, the XK was acquired by the next collector who added the car to his private exhibition. Today the Jaguar presents itself in fair to good condition. The engine runs and the car is basically driveable though many years of inactivity certainly will require a careful recommissioning. The car will be sold with the US title and the Swiss customs clearance. 1959 Jaguar XK 150 3.8-Litre SE FHC Oldtimer Galerie International GmbH If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The Afla Romeo 2000 serie (1958-1961) was the flagship of the brand at the time. The cars were available in Berline version (with factory Sedan body), Sprint (coupé with Bertone body) and Spider (convertible with Touring body). In recent years, the Sprint and Spider models have become more popular, which has significantly increased their values. The car presented here for sale is a rare EU version (Origin Germany) that was extensively restored by Classic Car Service Restorations in Belgium. The restoration was completed in July 2017. A complete foto album of the various steps of the restoration comes with the car. Today, it is still in excellent condition. It is featured in metallic gun grey with a red leather interior that was totally renewed. The body was completely restored and repainted. The paint is homogeneous and in very good state. There are no traces of use and a protective layer has been applied on the paint. Some of the chromes were replaced and they look in general very good. The original wheels were restored. All rubbers were renewed. The black canvas convertible roof has been renewed and looks good. The vehicle is powered by a 1975 cc original and matching number engine that went through a complete restoration. With its 5-speed manual gearbox, it starts and runs smoothly. The mileage counter shows 53.190 Km. In a few words, this is a nice opportunity to acquire a beautiful exemplar of the Alfa Romeo 2000, in excellent state, esthetically and mechanically. • 1965 Chevrolet Corvette C2 Callaway Competition

The brute Corvette C2 Callaway Competition – 327 cu-in offered here, started its life in 1965 as a 300 hp coupe with a Powerglide automatic transmission in the USA. Giovanni Ciccone, a partner in Leingarten-based tuner Wöhr & Ciccone (later Callaway Competition), bought this ’65 in 1986 with the goal of restoring it for street use. In the middle of the restoration, Achim Kolb bought the car from Giovanni and commissioned Wöhr & Ciccone to build it up as a race car. Built up in the livery of Dick Guldstrand’s ’67 Le Mans entry, Herbert Schürg drove “Tante Luis”, as the special race car was called, to victory in the Vintage GT Championship in the ‘over 4 liter’ category of the FiA at the Nürburgring in 1991 and 1992. After several years of hard racing, the Corvette was bought by Uli Martini-Berberich in 1997 and again rebuilt by Wöhr & Ciccone, now Callaway Competition, on bare frame to FiA standards. In 1999, former German F1 driver Jochen Mass and Uli Martini-Berberich left many Cobra Daytona Coupes, Jaguars and Ferrari GT’s behind and finished third overall with this Corvette at the British Goodwood Festival of Speed. The start of exactly this race at Goodwood can be watched on YouTube – Epic start to 1999 RAC TT at Goodwood Revival. Also in 2000 Uli Martini-Berberich secures another 3rd place at the FiA Oldtimer Grand Prix at the Nürburgring. Incredibly, the car was measured at 175 miles per hour (281 km/h) on the main straight – in the rain. Not bad for a design from the 60s! Uli Martini-Berberich still drove to 1st place at Spa a year later. From 2001 to 2006 the Corvette C2 Callaway Competition was used in further races before it was totally overhauled and put into storage. In 2020, the race car was bought by a Swiss and imported. The 327 cu-in engine with over 530 hp was built by the very well known TRA-CO Racing Engines USA and has approximately 9 hours of operation since total overhaul. The perfectly tuned weight distribution of only 1209 kg is a fabulous 51.6% front and 48.4% rear. To date, various replacements have been made, brakes done as well as the driveshafts and rear axle overhauled. A whole folder full of documents, invoices, reports and many photos is available. This beautiful Corvette C2 Callaway Competition is in top maintained and professionally serviced (new) condition and ready for some new action. 1965 Chevrolet Corvette C2 Callaway Competition Lutziger Classic Cars AG If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1977-ferrari-512-bb-1

We're excited to bring to market one of the most compelling “lost and found” Ferraris we've come across. An early 1977 Ferrari 512 Berlinetta Boxer, chassis 20747, discovered sitting in static storage in a Palm Beach garage. This early, carbureted 512 BB is 1 of only 929 examples produced and stands out immediately for its stunning Blu Chiaro over Cuoio specification — a rare, elegant combination seldom seen on Boxers. Delivered new in Europe and showing its original kilometer instruments, the car also carries genuine period racing history, documented through an incredible archival photo set from the early 1980s showing the car actively campaigned at events throughout the Netherlands and Belgium. This archive can be found on the Netherlands 512bb registry archive. Later in its life, #20747 became part of the private collection of Frits Kroymans, the longtime official Ferrari importer for the Netherlands and one of Europe's most respected Ferrari collectors. Kroymans' stable famously included blue-chip icons such as a 250 GTO, 250 Testa Rossa, and numerous significant competition Ferraris — making his ownership a meaningful piece of provenance for any car that passed through his hands. When the Kroymans Collection was dispersed, this Boxer quietly made its way to the United States, eventually landing in a Palm Beach garage where it remained tucked away and largely forgotten — preserved, untouched, and waiting for its next chapter. As found the car has some service and cosmetic needs. It starts and runs but will need a full inspection and service prior to road use. Cosmetically the dash has shrinkage and pulling and the paint has blemishes throughout. The rocker panels have corrosion on the bottom corners that will need to be addressed while the underside is nicely detailed and shows as a solid original example. Notably the rear fenders were flared to accommodate for wider Campagnolo wheels in its racing days. The original set of wheels are also included with the sale. Today, it emerges as a true analog icon: a carbureted flat-12 Ferrari in a rare colorway, with European provenance, photo documented period racing histoy, and former residence in one of Europe's most serious Ferrari collections. 1977 Ferrari 512 BB Driver Source Fine Motorcars If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1970 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona

When discussing the world’s most significant sports cars, few models loom as large as the 365 GTB/4, who’s racing pedigree label “Daytona” was unofficially gained after Ferrari’s 1-2-3 finish in the 1967 24 Hours of Daytona. Despite Enzo Ferrari’s vision of the 365’s sole focus to become yet another brilliant road car produced by the factory, Luigi Chinetti saw great promise for the basis of a competition sports car. As both the founder of the North American Racing Team and Ferraris importer in the American market, Chinetti ordered an example from Scaglietti with lightweight aluminium bodywork and began works on his competition vision. Despite the car not finishing in the 1969 24 Hours of Le Mans, Chinetti’s creation showed great promise and he agreed to develop two more examples. The factory began to take interest soon after and in 1971, Ferrari’s Assistenza Clienti division began to assemble Competizione versions of the Daytona. Over the course of three years, 5 examples were produced each year in three respective series. In total, the Ferrari factory completed just 25 period Group IV competition Daytonas. Fifteen were completed by the factory, as well as two prototypes to almost production car specification and eight conversions by clientele workshops including Ecurie Francorchamps and N.A.R.T. The competition cars immediately yielded results with one car taking 4th overall in the 1971 Tour de France, a 5th overall finish at the 1972 24 Hours of Le Mans and class wins at Le Mans in 1972 and 1973. Another example finished 2nd overall at the 1979 24 hours of Daytona, over a decade after the car was first produced, proving once again the resilience of its performance. This particular example started life as a 365 GTB/4 'Daytona' in road trim and was delivered new to a Mr F. Grisard via Franco-Britannic Auto of Paris on the 3rd of September 1970. In 1983, the car was returned to Modena and converted to Group IV specification for historic racing. Comprehensively re-engineered, this example was converted to Series III Daytona Competition specification for Group IV race specification. These changes notably include an aluminium bonnet and boot lid along with front wing mounted ‘fences’. Whilst the overall look is mostly comprised of a wider arched Daytona, the reality of the conversion process is one of a hugely labour-intensive process. The transformation firstly required the addition of hundreds of hand drilled rivets to the now aluminium skinned bonnet. Both the bonnet and boot lid have period-correct leather tiedowns. To accommodate the competition width wheels, the body required wider flared metal arches both fore and aft. Centre lock wheels remained but are now significantly wider. The fuel filler was re-routed to an external filler cap on the offside rear. Below the car, and as per competition Daytonas, this example benefits from dual side-exit exhausts. At the front of the car, the nose too has been heavily reworked for larger lights behind Perspex covers. The glass windows have been replaced with lightweight Perspex sliding items and the doors stripped back. The engine features the Competizione-specification revised airbox and is understood to have been fitted with revised camshafts too. After the conversion was carried out, the car was kept in the south of France. On display for much of the 1980s at the Musée Automobile Cote d'Azur Mougins, the car would see minimal use. Between April and August of 2003, the former owner carried out a mechanical overhaul with Garage Calderoni of Lyon, where it was overhauled and repainted which is accurately documented within the car's history file. Later in 2006, the car moved to Germany where in October of the same year the transmission was renewed with a fresh clutch kit, from which the car has done only 100 kilometers since to date. Living its life in storage past this point, the car was then inspected by DK Engineering in 2014 at its storage facility in Petersfield on behalf of a very good client of the business. Finally, the decision to sell the car came about and just earlier this year, the car underwent a significant major service at DK Engineering with the invoice near to £30,000. Presenting 'on the button' and with a completely fresh exterior, this stunning conversion example of the famous 365 GTB/4 'Daytona' Competizione is available to view at our showrooms outside London immediately. 1970 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona D.K.
