  • 1979 Porsche 928 1

If you've always lusted after a lightly used, highly original first-series 928 with manual gearbox, then this incredible example is the car for you! It has the appearance of a four-year old vehicle with lovely patina inside and out. It still wears its factory paint to 100%, which must be highly unusual for a 45-year old automobile. With only 45,000 mls or 72,800 km on the clock, this 928 has always been expertly maintained and cared for. First registered on 15th November, 1978 and sold by Pioneer Porsche Audi in Denver, Colorado, this car has had only three previous owners and comes with a huge history file, including delivery receipt from Porsche and many service invoices for parts and labour. Please note that the uploaded documents are just some of many that come with the car. Also still present is the original Porsche pouch with owners' manual, warranty and maintenance book, specification, EPA fuel economy rating card, Blaupunkt stereo manual, Title etc. The current owner bought the car in 2020 and imported it to Europe. All EU taxes and fees have been paid and the car currently has a classic car registration in Germany. Before being registered, it was completely serviced to ensure many more years of trouble-free motoring. In addition to maintenance, the engine compartment and chassis received a dry-ice treatment and therefore present in fantastic condition. The original paint was detailed and now carries a protective ceramic coating. In short, this 928 would take pride of place in any stellar Porsche collection and is ready to be used and enjyoed. • 1981 Ford Capri 3.0 S

Raced by two giants of British saloon car racing, initially in Production Saloons and now Group 1, this well-known Autoplan Warranties 3.0 S Capri has amassed a trophy cabinet full of wins over the last four decades and is now on offer with a shiny new set of FIA papers. A slightly tongue-in-cheek suggestion by Roger Williamson, proprietor of Willhire Vehicle Rentals in Norfolk, resulted in the arrival on the club motor racing scene of the Willhire 24 Hours, an endurance race for production cars and Britain’s first 24-hour motor race. The event was staged every year between 1980 and 1994 at Snetterton Circuit, becoming known simply as “the Willhire”, and there can’t be many drivers at club and national level during those years that didn’t get involved at least once. Many Willhire winners went on to enjoy success in other forms of motor sport and we are proud to mention that our own Lionel Abbott won the race twice, in 1986 with Mike Smith (the first two-driver team to win the race) and in 1988 with Graham Scarborough. It was initially assumed that a production car being hammered around Snetterton for 24 hours would self-destruct so, for the first two years, it was a team event with up to four cars used, however, the survival rate was surprisingly good and from 1983 onwards, it became an individual event with cars shared by between two and six drivers. The Capri on offer today is a 1981 3.0 'S' that was originally built from a Ford-supplied, trimmed body shell for the 1981 production saloon car championships. With funding from Autoplan Warranties, it was put together by Roger Dowson of Gerry Marshal Racing (prior to Roger forming Roger Dowson Engineering) and was finished just in time for the Willhire where the ebullient Gerald Marshall and the equally quick but considerably better behaved, Graham Scarborough, co-drove the car to 2nd place in that race. Gerry continued to race the car for the rest of the season winning every race entered and both Production Saloon Car Championships. (BARC and BRSCC). At the end of the year Gerry sold the car to Harold Hagan in Ireland where it continued to race with much success. Some 15 years later, in late 1996, Graham Scarborough bought the car, still in it’s original Autoplan livery, and set about fully stripping it and rebuilding the Capri to Group 1 specification in order to compete in the Classic Saloon Car Club Pre-83 Group 1 Championships. Graham’s well known standards of preparation and his undoubted ability behind the wheel resulted in years of success including many wins, dozens of class wins plus the Championships outright in 1998 and ’99 and the Class in 2000 and ‘01. The car was well known at Spa, enjoying many successful visits up to its last outing there at the end of 2016. The Graham Scarborough-built Group 1 engine was refreshed in 2018 and was set up on Neil Brown’s dyno late in 2021 having done just three races and not used since. A new clutch has been fitted which transmits through to an original Hewland Group 1 close-ratio gearbox and an Atlas 3.44 ratio rear axle. Most recently, the car has benefitted from a thorough refresh with the paintwork and period livery being restored to a very high standard. The car is well set up and well balanced with Bilstein dampers all round. The Capri is complete with, recently issued, FIA HTP papers valid for 10 years making it eligible for Legends, Goodwood Members' Gordon Spice Trophy, Classic Touring Car Club (CTCRC) and the Historic Racing Drivers Club (HRDC) Gerry Marshall Trophy. Well known, much admired and superbly prepared, the ‘Autoplan Capri’ has always proven to be a very fast and very reliable front-running car and, in the right hands, should continue to be a winner. 1981 Ford Capri 3.0 S Iconic Auctioneers Ltd If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. National vehicle Imported to Spain since its purchase as new in 1966. A vehicle that has always been active, even with its last owner, a collector who has used it for what it is, in rallies and other competitions. The engine was completely rebuilt to keep its good shape. The rest of the vehicle is in good condition with minor updates pending. The Lotus Elan offers unique driving sensations The Elan is technologically advanced compared to its competitors, with a 1558cc DOHC engine, four-wheel disc brakes, rack and pinion steering and four-wheel independent suspension. • 1967 Jaguar E-Type

A classic car collection might not ever be complete, without a Jaguar taking up space in the garage. None better than an E-Type, or XKE as it's known in the American market. Dubbed by Enzo Ferrari himself as the ‘most beautiful car ever built’ this 1967 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 Roadster shows exactly what he meant. Presented in a lovely color combination of Metallic Silver over Black Vinyl interior, this covered headlight example is powered by a 4.2L Inline 6, which boasts a factory rated 265 horsepower engine and power is sent to the wheels via a Getrag 5-Speed manual transmission. A blue printed and balanced engine under prior ownership sports recent upgrades including an HD radiator, performance cams, stainless steel headers and an exhaust system, giving it a lively driving experience. Other performance features include the 3.31 limited-slip differential and 4-wheel ventilated Wilwood performance disc brakes around the car, while the undercarriage has HD swaybars, performance shocks and a recent detail. 15” chrome wire rims are wrapped in Michelin Harmony Radial X tires and secured by two-earned curved knock-off spinners. The brightwork is clear and tightly mounted around the sleek Jaguar body, showing solid gaps and proper mounting hardware to match new gaskets throughout. Within the interior you will find bucket seats trimmed in black vinyl, black carpeting with Jaguar branded rubber floor mats, a three-spoke wooden steering wheel with a Jaguar center horn button, AM/FM cassette player with dual Apline speakers mounted in the back. Smith’s instrumentation is in center view, showing a 160 MPH speedometer next to a tachometer with complementary clock. Mileage shows 6,796, although true mileage is unknown. A black soft top affixes nicely when up, with no rips or tears while the matching vinyl tonneau cover neatly keeps it all in place behind the bucket seats. The rear boot is tidy with tan vinyl trim covering a full matching spare and correct jack kit. Well cared for under current ownership within the Carmel Highlands of Carmel By-The-Sea, California, this Jaguar as always been garage or stored in a climate control facility. Offered now on consignment with a clean California title to complement a complete photo and video gallery. 1967 Jaguar E-Type Mohr Imports, Inc. • 1972 De Tomaso Pantera 351 V8 Cleveland

The Pantera was designed by the Italian design firm Ghia's American-born designer Tom Tjaarda and replaced the Mangusta. Unlike the Mangusta, which employed a steel backbone chassis, the Pantera's chassis was of a steel monocoque design, the first instance of De Tomaso using this construction technique. The Pantera logo included a T-shaped symbol that was the brand used by De Tomaso's Argentinian cattle ranching ancestors,as well as a version of the Argentinian flag turned on its side, inspired by the company's founder, Alejandro De Tomaso, having been born and raised in Argentina. The car debuted in Modena in March 1970 and was presented at the 1970 New York Motor Show a few weeks later. Approximately a year later the first production cars were sold, and production was increased to three per day. The slat-backed seats which had attracted criticism at the New York Auto Show were replaced by more conventional body-hugging sports seats in the production cars: leg-room was generous but the pedals were off-set and headroom was insufficient for drivers above approximately 6 ft (2 m) tall. Reflecting its makers' transatlantic ambitions, the Pantera came with an abundance of standard features which appeared exotic in Europe such as electric windows. The car was completely restored in June 1999 with following elements: The engine: 351 Cleveland, 4 bolt mains and open chamber high performance heads, 10.7 to 1 pistons, competition cam, polished offenhauser intake, 650 CFM Holley 4 barrel carb, fluid damper balancer, roller rocker arms, Moly push rods, Edelbrock air filter and vent, Summit Racing electric fuel pump and gauge, 10 quart oil pan and stainless steel hardware used on exposed surfaces. To make this V8 sound amazing, a new flowmaster exhaust system has been fitted. Transaxle and chassis: 5 speed German transaxle POSI 310 Gear by ZF (same as Ford GT40), 4 wheel Wilwood Dynalite disc brake system, braided brake lines, oversize master cylinder. Body: model L bumper has been changed to European spec, mid wing and rear deck wing have been removed meaning the car has received a partial fresh coat of paint. Engine compartment and hood area painted with Imron, body painted Ruby Pearl, billet aluminium wheels. Our DeTomaso Pantera is an excellent example. With its amazing body work finished in Ruby Pearl all the way to its mechanicals, which are in great condition. Before the car leaves to its new owner, it will also receive a fresh service and a check to make sure that it is ready for many more fun miles. 1972 De Tomaso Pantera 351 V8 Cleveland Car Cave USA If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1967 Maserati Sebring Series II

Very rare, 1967 4-litre Sebring 4000GTi the subject of an older restoration by McGrath Maserati and currently indicating just 2,539 miles. Having spent extravagantly on their motor racing program over the years, Maserati's coffers were a little depleted and their survival strategy for the 1960s centred on establishing the company as a volume producer of road cars. The Modena marque's new era began in 1957 with the launch of the Touring-bodied 3500GT. A luxury 2+2, the 3500GT drew on Maserati's competition experience, employing a tubular chassis frame and an engine derived from the Alfieri-designed 350S sports racing car unit of 1956. Suspension was independent at the front by wishbones and coil springs, while at the back there was a conventional live axle/semi-elliptic arrangement. Power output of the twin-cam six was around 220bhp initially, but later examples produced 235bhp on fuel injection. Built on the shorter wheelbase but otherwise similar chassis of the Vignale-bodied 3500GT Spyder, the Sebring 2+2 coupé arrived to much acclaim in 1962, and is now widely considered to be one of the most elegant and understated of the Sixties' Grand Tourers. Introduced in 1965, the Series II (Tipo AM 101/10) featured redesigned headlamps; modernised bumpers; new front indicators; and new side grilles replacing the lower extraction vents used hitherto. At the rear, apart from the squared off bumpers, the taillights were now mounted horizontally rather than vertically and the boot lid opening was narrower. A 3.7-litre version (lengthened stroke which enlarged it to 3,694 cc) was offered later in production and eventually a 4-litre (4,012cc) car towards the end of the model's life. Known as the 4000GTi, the 4-litre car produced 252bhp with an uplift to 261bhp right at the end. Numbers, as always with Italian cars of this era, are unconfirmed but it's believed that 247 Series II cars found homes of which 96 were 3.7-litre and 4-litre variants (combined), however, we don't believe that there are more than a handful of 4-litre cars currently in the UK. On offer here we do indeed have one of those rare 4-litre cars. It was finished in December 1967 and exported to New York where it was sold to its first owner by Bob Grossman Foreign Cars. Coincidentally, a later owner asked Bob Grossman to sell the car for him in January 1995 and it was purchased from there by its current owner, our vendor, who shipped it to the UK. In 2001, it was subject to extensive recommissioning by renowned marque experts, McGrath Maserati, with an engine rebuild and a fresh coat of its original Celeste Chiaro. Full details of this work are in the history file and the car has been looked after by them ever since. Our vendor moved to Spain in 2012 and took his beloved Maserati with him so it's currently Spanish registered and will be subject to a reduced Import Duty of 5% should the car remain in the UK. The current indicated mileage is just 2,539. Sitting on gleaming, tightly-laced Borranis wearing confidence-inspiring 205 Blockleys, the Sebring’s stance is taut and purposeful, athletic even and the light metallic hue emphasises the crisp, almost geometric lines of the panel-work softened by the gently descending, classic GT roofline. The Sebring looks like it means business with no need for the voluptuous, curvaceous lines of its mid-sixties Grand Touring rivals, a car for the discerning, well-funded owner with no need to prove it. The interior is equally masculine with inviting black leather everywhere and the dashboard looks functional and businesslike in comparison to the random arrangement found in mid-sixties Ferraris and 911s. The rear seats look like they have never been sat in, probably because no one ever has, and this fabulous cockpit is enhanced by a classic three-spoke wood-rim wheel and a period-correct (possibly original) Becker Grand Prix push-button radio. The engine bay is, as you would expect, neat, tidy and dry with areas of gentle patination, a classic McGrath sympathetic restoration. This is an exquisite example of the rare 4-litre Sebring with the bonus of two decades of maintenance by the UK's leading Maserati specialists. A very good-looking GT from Maserati's 'Golden Era'. 1967 Maserati Sebring Series II Iconic Auctioneers Ltd If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. • 1990 Porsche 911

A far cry from the 911 Classic by Singer, the DLS or ‘Dynamic Lightweighting Study’ take a more holistic approach to improving every element of the iconic 911. Where as the Classic sought to deliver the ultimate overall experience of a 911, embodied in an understated – but still carbon fibre bodyshell, the DLS project set out to understand, embrace and accentuate each of the intricacies that are unique to the Porsche 911. Far from intending to deliver a modern driving experience, the DLS is still very true to its origins. A hands-on, analogue interface, with a manual gearbox and race-oriented 4.0 naturally-aspirated flat co-developed with Williams. Consulting the likes of legendary Porsche engineers Hans Mezger and Norbert Singer during the development phase, Singer and Williams have worked in unison to heavily fettle the air-cooled powerplant. In production trim, it now offers around 500hp with a rev limiter coming in at 9,300rpm. With the engine starting life as the standard 964 3.6 litre, works were carried out to revise almost every moving part. Titanium con-rods, aluminium throttle bodies, carbon intake trumpets, a bespoke carbon airbox, fuel injectors with twin injectors and a ram-air induction system fed by inlets in the iconic rear ¾ windows that keeps the profile so pure and true to the classic 911 style. If somehow you’ve dismissed this car so far, the startup of the Inconel and titanium exhaust will serve an overdue wake up call. This example was supplied to its first keeper in July 2022 in Holland. With Singer pre-running in their cars, the owner was able to enjoy the car from the off and set out on his first adventure touring Italy. Shortly after, the car made its way to the UK, completing a tour of the North Coast 500. This very DLS stands apart from others as one of just a handful of examples to receive colour-tinted carbon fibre. In fact, this example has a build sheet of optional extras totalling $370,000. The exterior is finished in Singer Bespoke Black Olive , with the interior choosing an extra-range Nubuck colour from Spinneybeck's swatches. $17,900 - Singer bespoke paint to sample Black Olive $8,495 - Ghosted light with contrast lettering $35,690 - Lower trim and decklid insert $17,425 - Nickel bead blasted bright trim $1,365 - Wheels with gold tint $5,120 - Wheels centre RS gold tint $6,460 - Rocker trim bright finish $4,560 - Corner light trim bright finish $2,240 - Decklid badge in gold $10,400 - Front trunk - visual carbon - tinted $3,415 - Engine bay exterior colour panels The green-tinted carbon fibre is not limited to the exterior, with the interior seeing a $80,000 of extended carbon fibre options, couple with just under $73,000 of extended leather and bespoke finishings. Included in these options: $17,400 - Interior colour leather to sample 'CA 1252' $13,870 - Upper trim package leather to sample 'MM 1711' $14,565 - Mid trim package interior colour $20,845 - Lower trim package interior colour $2,970 - Interior accent package interior colour (leather) $1,200 - Steering wheel leather to sample - 'MM 1711' $2,225 - Floor mats - leather interior colour $9,465 - Dashboard accent package - visual carbon - tinted $14,285 - Mid accent package - visual carbon - tinted $4,245 - Centre tunnel accent package - visual carbon - tinted $20,150 - Seat accent package - visual carbon - tinted $6,700 - Seat centres contrast weave $6,395 - Seat grommets - bright trim to match $12,515 - X- brace carbon fibre - visual carbon - tinted $3,680 - Gear knob - visual carbon - tinted $3,450 - Steering wheel centre - visual carbon - tinted Having covered just 5,900 kilometres from new, this Dynamics & Lightweighting Study is ready to use and enjoy. Presented today after a visit to Singer, for a full service and several cosmetic improvements including new undertrays and refinishing of the wheels to ensure this example presents on the button.
