About
Fascinated with cars since childhood, Zbigniew Maurer would avidly study every aspect of their construction and design. He graduated in Architecture in 1987 and after gaining experience in architecture and design studios in Canada and Italy, in 1993 he realized his dream being hired by Centro Stile Alfa Romeo. His favorite projects, whose design he followed from start to end, are Alfa 156 (sedan and Sportwagon), first Alfa Romeo to win the Car-of-the-Year Award in 1998 and Alfa Romeo Diva (his personal homage to the iconic 33 Stradale), presented at Villa d'Este Concours of Elegance in 2006 claiming second prize in the concept car category, behind Alfa 8c Spider of which design he did the final fine-tuning.
