Aston Martin DB3

Here’s a story of turning abject failure into success:

In 1951, the Aston Martin DB3 went down, as they say, like a lead balloon. Heavy and cumbersome, it made little impact on the race track.

Two years later, Aston Martin returned with a younger, lighter, and speedier car -- the DB3S. The rest is history.

This one here was photographed at the Franschhoek Motor Museum near Cape Town, South Africa.
