As one of only 640 examples with the manual 6-speed gearbox, this 456 in its “Modificato” variant was first registered on the 9th July 2001 and handed over to the first owner on the 19th July through garage Frey AG in Horw. For the considerable sum of 295’000 Swiss francs, he received a 2 + 2 sports car with a 5.5 litre V8 V12 delivering 442 hp, a beige leather interior, air conditioning, electrically operated windows and a sound system with a CD changer. In May 2004, within around 10’000 kilometres driven, the Ferrari was taken over by the vendor and initially driven regularly and enthusiastically. The last years though, this sporty coupé has been driven less and less and has spent most of the time in the family garage. Some maintenance receipts since 2011 are available and the most recent cambelt change was completed in February 2014 at 49’214 kilometres. With advancing years, the owner (born in 1936) now has decided to sell his thoroughbred Italian. From a 20-year ownership with now 72’000 kilometres driven and a service booklet, this Ferrari is in good overall condition but a major service should be performed in the near future. The most recent MOT was completed in February 2018.
