The Cultivated Collector’s 1992 Lancia Delta HF Integrale 8V Evoluzione “Serie Speciale” represents an exceptional opportunity to acquire a pinnacle homologation rally machine. Handsomely configured in the highly desirable Verde York over supple tan leather, chassis #0473 was produced on September 7th of 1992 and is believed to be one of 500 produced in this combination. Originally delivered to Switzerland, #0473 was imported to the USA in 2018 and is recently emerging from long-term ownership. #0473 has covered 144K KM to date and benefits from servicing at marque experts at Dominiks European Garage, as well as servicing at Miller Motorcars. Having a direct link to some of the most iconic rally cars of all time, Delta HF Integrales are truly incredible cars to drive, and #0473 is no exception. Some cars are born from ambition while others are forged in competition, and the Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione I belongs firmly to the latter. Its story is inseparable from the dominance of Lancia in the World Rally Championship, where the Delta Integrale platform secured six consecutive manufacturers’ titles from 1987-1992. Introduced in 1991, the Evoluzione I marked a significant step forward, developed as a significant final push to keep the Integrale competitive at the highest level of Group A rallying. In this homologation special, power comes from a turbocharged 2.0 liter inline four churning out 210 horsepower, paired with a permanent all wheel drive system featuring a viscous center differential and Torsen rear. Select markets with stricter emissions standards received a catalyst equipped 8 valve version. Compared to earlier cars, the Evo 1 gained wider front and rear tracks, dramatically flared arches, and revised suspension geometry, all contributing to greater stability and grip. Larger brakes, improved cooling, and subtle aerodynamic tweaks further sharpened its capability, while inside, supportive Recaro seating and a focused, driver oriented layout underscore its motorsport intent. The cherry on top was an iconic boxy design by Giorgetto Giugiaro's legendary Italdesign. Today, collectors value the Evo 1 as the purest expression of the Integrale at its competitive peak. It captures the moment where rally bred engineering and road going usability were perfectly aligned, before the platform transitioned into its final Evo 2 form. The Evo 1’s raw, mechanical character, combined with unmistakable design and direct ties to one of rallying’s most successful eras, has cemented it as a cornerstone Group A homologation special.
