Power in HP/kW 286 HP

If we go too far out of our way with the title of our ad, you can be prepared for a first-class automobile. Not just in terms of its performance data, which were extraterrestrial at the time of the presentation and still cause some surprises today. 210kW/286 HP from an engine that has long since achieved fame. The in-line six from BMW's M Motorsport department was a picture-perfect engine at the time, built to match what was possible at the time. Introduced as a pure motorsport engine and tamed for the road in the now priceless M1 coupe, before being ready for series production as an engine in the top model of the 6 and 5 series. Nevertheless, the drive retained all the genes and peripherals from racing, for example individual throttle valves that were unthinkable for series vehicles were used. The top versions with the magical “M” emblem did not always have an exceptional position in the BMW model range. There was a long valley of tears through which virtually all variants had to go. As with many other highly interesting vehicles, many fell by the wayside! They were financially within reach of buyers who were somehow able to buy the car, but would stretch their wings at even the slightest incident due to a lack of mass. Often poorly repaired (if repaired at all), these once great cars were allowed to continue driving for an MOT period or then died during further use. Today, however, we are standing in front of an example that we last saw in this condition around 30 years ago, when these cars were a maximum of 3-5 years old and extremely well maintained. This is exactly how you have to imagine ours. It is completely in its original factory paintwork, now a good 36 years old, never repainted or repainted, it is absolutely rust-free thanks to the fortunate coincidence of having spent the first 30 years of its existence in the salt-free USA. There it was apparently only taken out of the garage at the best of times, to be moved by its sensible, knowledgeable lover until it was passed on to the second owner. In 2014 the car was offered in this immaculate overall condition and found its way back to Europe. Today this legendary Grand Coupé is with us and is presented in exactly the same condition as we try to convey through this description. We will shortly commission an independent expert to inspect and test this vehicle to support our statements. To catch a real “M” in this condition, with this equipment and color combination, is an absolute stroke of luck. The mileage is well supported by the extensive documentation, KD certificates and other documents. Furthermore, it alone means a worry-free, long future without any revision. Likewise, through extensive inspection, new TRX tires, filling and converting the air conditioning, etc., no maintenance backlog can be cleared up. With regular maintenance and ongoing care, you can expect to be able to pursue your hobby at the highest level for decades to come. With driving fun, with the typical BMW joy of driving in “M” mode. To check our information yourself, we offer you the chassis number for your own research: WBAEE310401051581 The master data sheet we have proves the extremely rare combination of assembly ex works as Euro national equipment with full power without catalytic converter and 286 hp, whereas the export-related side indicators were installed ex works. The rest of the equipment leaves nothing to be desired and goes far beyond the already mentioned air conditioning, including the electric sliding/tilting roof as well as the electric. Window regulators, the buffalo leather and the ingenious sports seats and much more. Please feel free to visit us by making an appointment to see for yourself the quality of the car. We are very sure that even people with the highest demands will not be disappointed.
