Italian Flair, American MuscleThere are cars that make your chest hair grow faster and make you want to sport a mustache the moment you see them. The De Tomaso Pantera GTS is one of those. For those who think life is a quiet, subtle affair, we’ve got bad news: this car is a rolling masterpiece of chaos and charm. Passion, power, and Italian flair – it all comes together fantastically. Born in Modena, with a pounding heart from Detroit, the Pantera GTS combines a fiery Italian soul with a roaring 5.8-liter Ford V8. This isn’t the ‘best of both worlds,’ but a marriage of two madmen with a box of matches who start a barbecue together – and end up with the best steak you’ve ever tasted. It’s not an average supercar, but a car that dictates the rules, not follows them. Its performance even makes the latest models seem pale, while its looks are so sharp you could cut an avocado with them. Our Pantera GTS, delivered in 1981, is an icon that has been lovingly cared for. It’s a rare German first delivery – which is special, as most Panteras went to the US to spread chaos. This particular example has always been in good hands, with only four owners in over 40 years. For the past 8 years, it’s found a home in a private collection of top-tier exotic sports cars, where it has been meticulously maintained. From engine to paint, everything is in top condition.Do you dare to tame it? Come by – but be warned, it won’t let you go.
