In de late jaren vijftig, een tijdperk van snelle technologische vooruitgang en culturele veranderingen, introduceerde Jaguar een auto die al snel een icoon zou worden: de MKII. Ontworpen door Sir William Lyons, maakte de MKII zijn debuut in 1959. Tegen het einde van de productiereeks in 1967 werd een speciale versie gelanceerd: de Jaguar 240 & 340 MKII. De naam zegt het al: de 340 MKII herbergt een robuuste 3.4-liter zescilinder motor. Deze motor biedt een rijervaring die zowel dynamisch als verfijnd is. Het interieur van de MKII, voorzien van luxe lederen bekleding en met de hand vervaardigde houtfineerafwerkingen, maakt elke rit tot een genot. Dit exemplaar is een stukje Nederlands erfgoed en heeft de grandeur van twee generaties koninginnen en een koning meegemaakt. Hoewel het de klasse heeft om achterin te zitten en naar de omstanders te wuiven, biedt deze auto echt veel meer! Het is een sportieve verschijning met een sterk karakter.
